Putting On A Hint Of Color: Lazy-Mode And Off I Go! - Duration: 7:48.

Good morning.

I already did a video.

It was a fail.

Washed my face.

I'm back again.

And now I'm just going to do lazy-mode.

So this is more like, I am, preparing to go out the door, and I just have to throw on

some SPF and a hint of color.

So, I'm putting on this to get stuff out of my face.

Just for the moment.

I think it's cute.

Flowers for May.

Do-do-do.

So.

Using I'm using um Clinique Super- super- Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturizer with

SPF 20.

So.

I use this a lot.

I find that it's a lot more gentle than sunscreen.

I have definitely beaten it up a bit.

So now that's it's getting towards the bottom of the pot, I use my pinky and I just make

a mess, everywhere.

Do-do-do.

*humming* And then, it's a little chilly out right now so definitely feeling where I'm

not getting myself - I think.

But, will see in a moment after I get my glasses finally back on.

So.

*mumble-hums* It has a hint of a scent to it, not like, um, perfume-y or anything like

that but um just enough that I know it's there.

Oh, the little piece went flying.

Ilike to keep that on there.

Do-do-do-do-do *hums* Sometimes I just of kind rub it around this way, so I can get

it on and around ears, anywhere that is still going to get a little bit of exposure even

with the hair down.

Do-do-do.

Workout clothing is usually zippered up all the way - I still have to hit the gym, and

now putting on makeup beforehand so we're going to see what is made to stay, or melt

away.

I'll take a picture later, see how it goes.

So now, quickly put the glasses on.

So.

Now that I have that on.

Now I'm just going to put on a hint of color so I feel pretty.

I'm going to use crayons, because when I was a little girl and I had a coloring book, crayons

is what I used.

But, all joking aside, these were purchased from Ulta, and I grabbed the one called Milk

because when I was trying to play with a different eyeshadow, someone showed that if you use

that as a base it could make some of that sparkly stuff pop.

Oh my golly some on you, oops.

Okay, so, eyelash.

Oh try again.

Hmm.

There we go, sending the wishes out.

Going right in the corner, as I hold the mirror further away, it's harder to see.

Do-do-do.

Da-dum.

So that one is called Milk, then I'm grabbing the one called Lavender, and I'm putting it

toward the middle of the eye.

So, sometimes you can get ice cream that has vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry, and you

see how there's the three sections in stripe.

That's basically what I'm doing with these colors.

This one has a bit of a shimmer, this one is called Yogurt.

So it's Milk, Lavender, Yogurt.

Hello, sun.

I'm glad that I put on SPF.

Going to draw a little X here.

Just get the little bit corner.

La-la-la.

Hello, shimmer.

So, then try to get that moisturizer with SPF try blend off my pinkys because a lot

of times, I use my pinkys but I'll use ring-finger today from light to dark kinda doing this

slight tug and pat.

I know tugging should theoretically give me more wrinkles but I already have a few and

they really want some friends.

Here we go.

I am trying to look through blurriness.What else do I have here?

I have a um mini thing of Urban Decay's Perversion mascara.

The name might feel a little naughty, but um, I found it works real nicely.

What I'm doing right now is um, swiping off a lot of excess.

I'm a newbie.

I don't need a bunch of product to make a huge mess on my face, I just want to clean

up anything that going on my eyelashes and make me feel like I did something.

Da-da-da.

Good morning, mourning dove, I hear you!

I don't know if this is the right way to do it but I like to blink because I find it does

the work for me.

And, I'm not trying to really layer or anything.

This is more just cleaning up any mess I might have had.

I'm touching the top a little, fix, fix.

I think.

Ooh.

I don't use an eyelash curler because I tried and it scares me.

So my eyelashes - a little bit on top just to clean it up - tend to stick straight out

and go, Hi! *chuckle* And then, the last little bit, I can put my glasses on!

Mascara, you done?

Hope so, otherwise going to have some streaks on my glasses.

So this is Burt's Bees, Watermelon.

And I'm just doing this lazy little *mumble* Mean to say - Like this, and then.

That's basically it.

Super easy.

I feel like I have a hint of color.

I just have to re-brush my hair really quick.

Should I go to the movie theater? - Duration: 7:34.

Hey guys!

My name is Jaleesa and (squeak) I'm back for another video.

I am truly, truly sorry for how long (hm, squeak) it's been since I've filmed last (fidget).

I do have some other videos filmed.

I just filmed my Tourette's story and it's just taking me (fuck) a really long time to

edit (squeak), so that should be out soon.

It's just taking me a long time.

And I got sick again with my fibromyalgia.

Then I was really busy.

I was trying to get all these doctors to get their you know what together.

Yeah, it's been a little crazy, but I am fine (fidget).

I should be making videos somewhat regularly now, I hope.

I say that all the time and then I don't , I know.

But (squeak) it shouldn't go another month without filming.

Sorry.

On to today's topic of the video.

Now, in a few seconds, prepare yourselves, I'm about to say something that is a little

bit controversial.

So, here it goes.

I have Tourette's, I have very prominent vocal tics (squeak) and I go to the movie theaters.

(ngup) Basically, there's a lot of different people on various social media sites on the

internet (squeak), including Tourette's-specific groups like support groups, who've said that

if you go to the movie theater (squeak) or some other places that are supposed to be

quiet or if people are supposed to be concentrating, then you are a selfish person.

(fidget) You are ruining somebody else's time and, like I don't know, (fidget) it's annoying

or something (fidget) and you're supposed to be quiet, so if you can't be quiet and

you're in a space where people expect you to be quiet, then you shouldn't be there.

I'm not sure if I'm wording that right, but...

Basically, I'm trying to address going to the movie theaters when you have Tourette's.

I probably should've said that in the first place.

So, as I said, I myself do go to the movie theaters (hmm), but I do try to go on weekdays

in the morning (frigid) and to movies that have been out for a while.

(frigid) I don't really go on Saturday afternoons to a popular movie.

I try to go when it's gonna be (squeak, hey) a lot less crowded.

And admittedly, if there was something like a relaxed screening or something like that

for people with disabilities like mine, I would prefer to go to that, where you would

expect people to make a noise, but that's not really (squeak) a widespread thing and

we don't really have that where I live (frigid), so my choice is either go to the movie theaters

with my vocal tics or just don't go to the movie theaters.

But honestly, I have to admit, for the like 8 people that are going to see a movie on

a Monday morning that's been out for a while (frigid) that are in the theaters with me,

I don't really feel that bad for them to be completely honest.

Let me try to put this in perspective for you.

If you find yourself in a movie theater with me, you are only going to have to deal with

the few of my vocal tics that aren't drowned out by the massive surround sound in the theater

and you're only going to have to deal with it for one movie.

Maybe you'll see me twice and have to deal with it another time a few months later if

you're really lucky and you happen to be (squeak) in the same theater with me twice (frigid,

click), but you're probably only going to have to deal with it for a couple hours, for

one movie out of your entire life (click) and that's only a few, few tics.

I have to hear these sounds all the time.

I'm the person making them.

I can't stop making them and I can't walk away from them when the movie is over (squeak,

ha, hmm).

Not only that, but I have to deal with the motor tics that you're probably not even going

to see (uh) most of them (squeak) or be paying attention to them (fidget).

You can't even really see a lot of them on this camera because it only films (frigid)

from like my chest and shoulders up, but I'm the one that's going to have to deal with

the movements and the pain that those movements can cause throughout the entire movie.

That also includes eye rolling tics which can keep me from even seeing the movie.

And that's not even to mention the premonitory urge that I feel every time I tic.

You know that feeling when you've been holding your breath for a really long time?

Imagine having that all throughout your body 24/7 along with the movements and the noises.

And yet, somehow, with all of this going on, I can still enjoy the movie (squeak).

It could be argued that it's much more distracting, impactful, painful...whatever.

You could argue that it's much worse for me and what people are telling me when they say

I shouldn't be in places like the movie theater or church or libraries is that they can't

deal (squeak) with the tip of the iceberg, the little vocal portion of my Tourette's,

for a couple of hours maybe, so much so that they don't want me to be in the same theater

or, you know, any quiet space as them (fidget) because they might be bothered by it.

It's a wonder that I'm made out to be the selfish one in this situation.

I just honestly want to get out and enjoy my life (frigid, click).

And to be honest, I've never had (hm, squeak) anyone even bat an eye at the movie theater,

which is really rare for going out to any public place for me (fidget), but I really

have not had problems with it.

And if I've talked to people afterwards (fidget), they usually say that it's not a problem or

that they completely filtered it out.

If you yourself have Tourette's (fidget) and you have this opinion that you shouldn't (squeak)

go to the movie theater per say when your tics are bad (fidget), then I sort of respect

the opinion a little bit more (frigid), but if you don't have Tourette's (tds) and your

problem is that you don't want to be in the same theater as me, what you're saying is

that you value your own comfort so much that you don't want other people to enjoy the same

things that you do (squeak) just because they have a medical condition that they can't help.

You're saying that you can't endure my tics for one movie when I have to endure them for

all of the movies that I see (fidget).

And I think that's it for my little rant today or whatever you want to call it.

A Tour of Barcelona's Gaudí Architecture

Hi guys!

Today I managed to snag an EF staff member. This is Victor. Hi!

What are we doing today? Where are you taking me?

We're going to visit some Gaudí buildings here in Barcelona.

Antoni Gaudí Catalan architect (1852-1926)

We're standing here outside a famous Gaudí building.

Gaudí was a famous architect here in Barcelona.

We're here in front of Casa Batlló, which Antoni Gaudí rebuilt in 1904.

It's a very famous and beautiful building.

It is built of stained glass, ceramics and iron.

Victor and I are standing outside La Pedrera, one of Gaudí's most famous buildings.

It's actually supposed to look like it's moving because it goes like this.

It's really nice. Do you know some more facts about it?

What you must know is that this building became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, so we must preserve it.

Also, the sculptures on the rooftop are ventilation shafts.

This building is very unique. Just imagine what a rebel Gaudí must have been considered in his time

because it was not a normal thing to be reconstructing old buildings to look like this.

Victor and I are standing outside la Sagrada Familia,

which is Gaudí's most famous building. It's this beautiful church.

It's still under construction and it won't be done until approximately 2030.

It's been under construction for over 120 years.

They started building it in 1892 when Gaudí was still alive.

What you must know is that he died in a tram crash in Barcelona and he's buried here inside.

You can actually go inside here to look if you pay a small fee. It's very beautiful.

It's worth the queue for sure.

There's been a huge debate whether it's right to continue building since he passed away,

but Gaudí actually joked about the long construction, saying that

his client, meaning God, was not in a hurry since it's a church.

Now we're standing inside the Park Güell and it's where Gaudí used to live.

We're going to visit some monuments and sculptures he made when he was alive,

and also see a very nice and spectacular view of the city, Barcelona.

It's quite a popular tourist attraction.

There are a lot of people here and you actually have to get in line to get in.

It was definitely worth it to stand in queue because this is so nice.

The view is really nice. You can actually see the ocean from here.

These irregular ceramic tiles covering the walls are very typical for modernist architects, like Gaudí.

As you know, they've continued the construction of la Sagrada Familia, which we visited before,

even though Gaudí is not there to oversee the actual building of the church.
