Youtube daily make Jan 5 2017

Hi I'm Sophie and welcome to my world

today we are going to finish up our

duct-tape hat we're gonna add the topper

and some embellishments and off we go and

you can wear your hat when we're done

this webisode for this project you are

going to need duct tape pre-made duct

tape fabric nine by nine inches scissors

sharpie pen parchment paper so I've got a

visor now I want to add the topper now

everybody's is going to be different so

you want to make sure that it fits your

head so put it on make sure you get it

to the size that you need it

to be and then what you're going to do

is take it place it on top of your

fabric and then using your Sharpie pen

you're going to trace the inside shape

could be a little teeny teeny bit wonky

when you do this but you get the idea

there and and you are going to cut you

can kind of smooth it out as you go

along there if you've got any sort of

ragged edges kind of cut to the outside

of your line all the way around now

don't worry about the fact that you've

got that sharpie there it is going to

get covered up but if you are worried

about it you can just take a little bit

of rubbing alcohol or a baby wipe and

wipe it off I've got my piece here and

i'm going to basically lay it into my

hat just like that kind of on the top

there and start with these little pieces

of tape again going to line it up make

sure you got it front to front and then

you're going to just take these little

pieces of tape and like we did with the

brim I'm just going to attach at major

points

so the front part there a little bit

off of the side here

other side here and then the back now

i'm using little tiny half pieces here

again these are pieces that i cut

earlier which were two inches by a half

an inch and then I cut them in half to

make them one inch by half an inch

because i only need little teeny-tiny

pieces here because i'm using a lot of

them so I've got some anchor points going

on a couple more there we go just to

get a nice solid base going on here

little secure and if you get a little

bit of a overlap kind of a thing or

like a little bit of a pooch don't worry

about that because you can just kind of

push it in and seal it

ok now what I want to do here is use my

longer pieces that were the 2-inch by

half an inch and i'm actually going to

go instead of going up and down like a

have been doing we're gonna go we're gonna go

long ways with these so i'm going to go

long ways instead of up and down so let

me show you what i mean by that I'm going to

take this piece long-wise and i'm just

going to lay it in right at that seam

and i'm laying it in at that seam and if

all you have left are the little little

pieces that's ok too but as you can see

i'm just going all the way around here

and the reason I'm doing the inside

first is because the outside is going to

be much easier to see where there's

little sticky spots because if you get a

little gap and get a little sticky spot

it's much easier to seal that

and see that on the outside as you can

see i'm just going to keep going around

here all the way around and see what i

mean about it covering up that duct tape

and the longer pieces do certainly make

it go faster here all the way around now

on the outside what I want to show you

about see this little area

right here that's where I've got a

little sticky spot so that's why I'm

going to come back with these guys

shorter pieces and I'm going all the way

around and taking care to cover up all

those little sticky spots now again this

is why this project takes about two

hours in total and that is because

there's a lot of little taping going on

here

ok so I'm going to continue taking all

the way around the top continue taping

all the way around inside here and when

I'm done it'll end up looking like this

as you can see all the tiny little

pieces of tape and all the tiny little

pieces of tape now we only have one

thing left before we embellish and that

is to once again just like we did with

the brim seal everything so just like we

did with the brim

we are going to make a giant sticker

base now I want to be careful with my

hat when i trace around that I don't

hurt my beautiful hat so what I'm going

to do is actually go wide with this so

that i'm not near my hat but again if I

do get on my hat by accident

it's okay because what i can do is use a

little baby wipe

use a little rubbing alcohol so as you

can see i'm going pretty big here and so

I'm actually going to be cutting this

way inside

and it's okay because really this is

just to top it off and seal everything and

make it look really nice

now if you remember I did a double sided

sticker right so I've got two layers of

tape with a layer of parchment paper in

between

okay i'm going to cut around now

remember like I said I'm cutting this

pretty far in here if you want to when

you do that original topper piece you

can make the template right then or you

can wait until your sealed off like i

just did and you cut around it just like

that and now peel the top here make

sure that it's give it a little a

little eyeball here you can trim it just

a little bit again remember this is just

to seal everything off and make sure

it's nice and secure a little bit big

on this side so I'm just going to

trim it there

the reason i can't give you a template

for this is because everybody's hat is a

could end up being a little bit

different

according to their head when they

measure it so i got that first one and

i'm just going to seal it off and then

flip it open and seal it off on the

inside there you have it

here's your hat now as you can tell you

can make it smaller if you have a tiny

peanut head like i do or if you've got a

big head like my husband you can make it

even bigger now you want to embellish

this of course this is just your base so

I'm going to add a little strip of

fun tape here and this is just a 20 inch

strip of tape that I sliced right down

the middle to make from a 2-inch into a

one inch strip and i'm going to make it

kind of like a band and all i'm going to do is

lay this around all the way and if it's

a little bit short i can add a little

bit from my cut away piece here as much

as I need to get it all the way to the

side there

there we go and i think i'm going to add

a little sticker as well if you don't

know how to make stickers go to

www.sophie-world.com and put in duct

tape sticker and i'll teach you how to

make a cute little sticker and there you

have it very own duct tape hat and

what's great about these is the more you

wear them the more they're going to shape

to your head because duct tape is pretty

soft so you get a nice solid good looking

hat for fun ideas with suggestions

that came from you come check us out at

How to Make Bukkit Plugins Tutorial # 7 - WorldManager Class - Duration: 24:28.

Hey guys wassup

blendycat here

and welcome to your

7th bukkit plugin tutorial

in this video i will be making the world manager class

for our land claim plugin

so lets get started

so um in the future

I plan to

make it so you can add friends to your plot

and then I'll probably make some subcategories

and it will be a list of UUIDs

actually it's probably gonna get pretty complicated

like we're gonna have permissions

so friends can do certain things

but they can't do you know

other things like

maybe you don't want them to go into your chest

but you'll let them break blocks

actually that's completely stupid

or maybe you want them to open chests but not break blocks.

i don't know

so

let's get started on our WorldManager

so first let's create a private object

uh, landclaim

that's our main class

keep in mind when you're making

this is just like for future reference

when you're making

uh, a bukkit plugin

just never do this:

this will actually cause your plugin to not run

Lifehack products: Things That Make Your Life Easier #2 | Coolest Things from AliExpress - Duration: 2:24.

Hello everyone.

I was on the roadtrip to the US for a 9 days - great times, but finishing the video was

a bit more tricky than I expected.

Good news is that I saw about a dozen new packages when I arrived back,

some of which I hope will be the speakers I ordered on 11.11, so the speakers review

should be out next Wednesday.

But right now we will see 7 products that can make your everyday life easier.

Number 7 - magic magnetic shoelaces.

Otherwise found under the name Zubits, on Aliexpress they are simply called novelty

magnetic casual sneaker shoe buckles closure no-tie shoelace.

It will save you time tieing and untieing your laces.

Buyers' comments indicate the magnets are moderately strong.

Number 6.

This fancy charger cable device that borrowed the Swiss Army knife appearance.

It has a plug for iPhone 4, 5 and 6/7, a Micro-USB for Android devices, and an indicator light.

And unlike other universal cable solutions it is portable and tangle-free.

Number 5.

A cleaning slime thing.

I've had one before I even did reviews, and it did a pretty good job

picking various junk from my laptop keyboard and the cooling fan area.

I advise that you wash and dry it every once in a while so that it lasts longer.

Number 4.

A bag hook for your car.

Transporting bagged groceries can be tricky, especially if you live somewhere where the

roads aren't the greatest.

It may look somewhat flimsy, but Russians in the feedback section say that

it is quite sturdy and works well for about 5-7 kg which is 11 to 15 pounds.

Number 3.

A brush for blinds.

If you think it's a common thing please don't be a dick about it, I am 26 and I was fascinated

by the existence of such an amazing device.

Cleaning blinds is otherwise a tedious task, but not with this brush.

The cloth is washable, and can be reused.

Number 2.

A bendable smartphone or a tabet stand.

It is a pretty cool item for what it's worth, and has a variety of uses and functions.

It is strong, and its 8 legs are capable of handling even a heavier gadget.

Number 1.

Luminiscent tape.

If you always bang your toes on the furniture, this can help you route a safe detour to the

bathroom, or to simply amplify the uniqueness of your

house.

It can also be used for wrapping up bicycles and helmets to add more visibility

for the night runs and rides.

There are different widths available, and they all have 3 meters - or about 10 feet

in length.

9 Surprising Fitness Myths - Duration: 10:18.

Hey girls! Tiffany Dawn here, and

welcome back to a fun little surprise

video! This week I am here with my friend

Amanda. And she is a fitness instructor

and personal trainer and she's super

awesome. You did an Ironman, right? Half

ironman. Ironman is this year's story. That's crazy!

So yeah. That's amazing.

So, girls, I've asked Amanda come on

because I think sometimes we make new

year's resolutions off of myths or

misconceptions about fitness.

So I'm just gonna ask her questions and

we'll go ahead and get started. So Amanda,

if I eat fat, I'm gonna get fat.

Is that true? No. So the good news is you

can actually eat fat. Yes!

Fat doesn't make you fat. But we want

the good kind of fat: avocados, nuts,

olive oil, meat that's grass fed - so

good quality - can actually be really

beneficial. FDA guidelines actually

recommend that your diet be around

25-30% percent fat. And

that's what's really gonna help you have nice hair,

nice skin, nice nails... So far makes you

beautiful.

Yeah, and it also helps you feel fuller. I

totally bought into the low-fat, no-fat

for a while and I was always hungry. All

I want to do is eat! But don't be scared

of fat. It's not actually fat that makes you

fat.

We're actually finding it's probably

more of the sugar.

Okay I'm gonna throw an unexpected one

out. You know gluten-free is like the big

thing. And like I am gluten intolerant, so I

like literally cannot eat gluten or I'll throw up,

but... - Me too! - Are you really? - Yeah! - I didn't know that!

Oh that's so funny! Surprise!

Yeah but like a lot of people assume

because it's gluten-free it's good for

you. That's not true, is it? No. So I'm so

glad you asked that because that was one we

did not think of. Bonus for free! Gluten

free came about because of an actual

medical condition or an intolerance, and

then people saw that you could lose

weight by not eating gluten, so it

became gluten-free means you lose weight.

That's not true.

Gluten-free products that are still

processed are still processed foods and

most of them actually have less

nutritional content than foods that have

gluten. So just because your box says

gluten-free, doesn't mean it's better for

you. In fact most of the time it's

actually worse for you. I had to switch

from eating gluten-free processed food

to really looking at whole foods, like

instead of bread, I'll eat potatoes. So

you're still eating real food as opposed

to the processed food. Okay here's one that

I thought many times -- that if I lifted

weights I would start to look like a man. And

I didn't want to be buff, so I just

didn't lift weights. If I had a dollar for

every time I heard that, I'd be so rich

right now, it would be amazing.

We don't have enough testosterone as

women to look like men.

So you can safely increase your weight

and lift heavier weights, and not look like a man,

which is super awesome. We sit

there and we're worried about like, "I can

only use five-pound weights in class,"

but a gallon of milk weighs eight pounds.

Does it really?? Yeah! So like why are we only lifting

five-pound weights in class when

everything we're doing in life is

heavier than 5 pounds? It doesn't make sense;

you're training for life!

I currently lift a lot of weight and

I don't think I look like a man. I'm

always waiting for the day when I tell

a client, "No, look, I lift this much and I

don't look like a man," and they look at me like,

"Yeah, you do." I've often thought that

if I want to be really healthy and happy

that I have to be a certain size or

certain weight. I have never met a person

who has been happier when they reach

their goal weight if that's not what's

right for them. My goal for myself is to

be strong and to be able to do life well.

I have been a very unhealthy 120 pounds

and I'm now a very healthy 150 pounds.

And that's 30 pounds heavier which is

crazy, but I also have a much healthier

body and a much lower body percent fat

percentage.

Yeah so it's crazy, like the number on

the scale really doesn't tell you that

much.

If you start doing a program where

you're going to build some more muscle,

which is really anything - even running

you get muscles in your legs - that scale

number might not move, but your body

composition - so the percent of body fat

will decrease. I like to go by how my

clothes fit. Your number on the scale may

not go down at all, but your clothes will

fit better because you have less body

fat.

Okay so to see success, do I have to - while

working out - then also eat like cardboard

and tofu and birdseed as well? - like

nothing good? The good diet of twigs and

the cardboard box. Like, no. It

really comes down to balance and

moderation. And I tell people as a

general guideline, if you could pick it

from your backyard or you could kill it,

then it's probably good. And that sounds

terrible -- apologize to my vegetarians --

but if it comes out of a box, it's

probably not as good for you.

So the less processing that something

has, the better it is for you.

I don't get caught up on calorie

counting. I try and listen to when I'm

hungry when I'm not. Stick with a wide

variety towards the outside edge of the

supermarket. And spices, a little bit of

good fat, adding a little avocado, really

goes a long way. So a lot of people think,

"If i want to be healthy, I have to be on

a diet." The word diet just refers to what

you eat. Right now we're all on diets

because we're all eating. Some people

have better diets than other people.

Anybody who

I have ever trained or interacted with who's

been "on a diet" has never lasted.

It always ends and then they typically

gain the weight back.

I've totally eating even like six times more

than I would have just because I was

trying so hard to like resist the chocolate

milkshake. Okay, I'm not gonna eat the

chocolate milkshake, not gonna eat it.

Oh, cookies! They're not the chocolate

milkshake, so I can eat the cookies. When

if I had just eaten the chocolate milkshake I

wouldn't have eaten anything else, and I

probably would've been better off.

And that's actually why I

business is called Thrive Fitt, because I'm

trying to get people to stop depriving

themselves and start thriving. People are

more likely to stick with healthy habits

when you have some times where you're

like, "Oh, I really love my grandma's

meatloaf that she makes on Christmas and

so I'm not going to eat it every day for

the rest of the year, but I'm just going

to eat that meatloaf and then I'll be

good to go." Again it goes back to

balance. A lot of times we say 80%

not processed and then 20%

percent eat however you want. If you can

follow the 80-20 rule, you'll be just

fine. And that actually reminds me of the

next myth, which is to get a really good

workout I have to run or do something

that I'm going to hate. And this is

something I believed for a long time. I

was like, "I hate working out," I just would

always tell myself that. So confession: I

run a lot and I bike a lot and I swim a lot,

some days I hate it too. So on those days

sometimes I try and find something that

I love to do. I love to lift weights. If I

am exhausted and just need to get moving

or I'm super stressed, a lot of times i

will go and lift weights - and like lift

the heavy weights, because that's what I

love to do. Some people Zumba and dance

it out. The important part is that you're

moving, whether that's yoga, pilates,

triathlons, running, playing sports,

chasing your little brother and sister

around the yard - like that is exercise,

and we forget that because it's not in a

gym. You may find you really love mountain

biking! I didn't. That didn't happen for

me. I didn't love mountain biking.

I was too scared of all the rocks. So no, you

don't have to run to lose weight. You

just need to move. Amanda, basically every

weight loss campaign you see says that

you can see results in 3-10 days.

Can you really see like lasting, real

results in a week? If you've never worked

out before you may notice some

differences, but it's probably not an

actual physical change. Sometimes it's

water that you're losing or inflammation.

There's a lot of reality TV shows now

based off of trainers and weight loss.

We won't mention any names, but the

largest not winner - if you catch my drift.

Really gave us a false

sense of what exercise looks like. They

all had incredible weight loss and they

worked really hard, like six to eight

hours a day, they were eating a very

strict diet, but if you look at the

results after, they gained most of that

back, because again, it wasn't real-life

sustainable. I don't have 6-8

hours a day to work out, but people get

frustrated: "I went every day for two

weeks and I didn't notice a change!" It

takes longer than two weeks. And for

some people it's been 20 years of

being unhealthy, and you can't get

healthy in two weeks.

Consistency is key; balance is key. So for

people who are Christians - a lot of my

viewers are - sometimes there could be

this idea that, "Oh if i'm spending time

like taking care of my body, I could be

using that time better to like pray or

like do devotions or something." What

would you say to that? A) I think quiet

time is a huge part of our health and

fitness. Prayer and studying God's Word

cannot be neglected. If you think of your

health as a triangle - your physical

health, mental health, your social health -

your spiritual health is really in the

center and that's kind of what holds

everything together. Again, balance. The

Holy Spirit lives inside of us and like

we're called to honor God with our body,

so whether that means to you modesty, I

think in my mind it also means having a

healthy vessel for Him to live in.

Yes you could work out too much and

neglect your spiritual life, and then

your triangle starts to shift a little

and you'll notice like maybe you're more

grouchy or you're not at peace, you're

really stressed, and that's when -

usually those things happen when our

triangle starts to shift. Thank you so

much for sharing these things! And check out

Amanda's Instagram and her blog - she's got

tons of really cool videos on her

Instagram that can show you how to do

different stuff, different workouts and

whatnot, but it also has like

her blog and encouragement and

inspiration. So thrivefittlife.com. Yes,

and "fitt" has 2 t's. That confuses people

all the time. Two t's.

Perfect. So you'll definitely want to

check that out. Have an awesome day girls,

and happy new year! Happy new year!

Make your own Havana mambo twists + easy crochet install - Duration: 5:46.

Hi everybody and welcome back to my channel.

In this video, I am using the Golden queen afro braiding hair and in one of the packs,

I'm using two packs and in one of the packs; I found this multi-color which was pretty

cool.

the edges were blunt but I will simply just cut that off. and for my gadget my contraption,

I'm using this flat top stool and I'm going to use my foot to keep that steady.

So for my pre loops, I'm using an old belt, its about an inch in width and thats gonna

help me acheive that perfect loop, not too big and not too small.

So I'm ready to start doing my twists, I simply cut the blunt ends off and this hair is very

stretchy and the quality is very good.

I am going to be using the Senegalese twisting method, I find that it gives me a professional

looking twist.

So I'll continue twisting and here's another colour too, it's a very pretty colour, it's the 613

and I'm also gonna twist that up and the Senegalese twisting method is simply just twisting the 2 strands

in opposite directions before crisscrossing them.

For this hair, the texture is so great that it makes it so much easier.

And here is another color, a pretty color that I found in the pack, I believe that is

the 30. And I highly recommend this hair, the kinky ness is just perfect and it gives

you more of a natural look, just like that.

So as you can see the loops are just right, not too big and not too small.

For my braiding pattern, it's just simply 12 in the front and 6 in the back, I'm using

this crochet method that I learned here on youtube from Braided Innovations, I'll leave

more information on her in the info bar.

So it is really a one-step thing.

I put the needle right through the loop and then I go under the cornrow

and I put the end of the twist inside the latch hook, close it up and pull through the

cornrows and straight through the loop.

It's a time saver because you are going trough just once and you're done.

Just a few more demos.

I hope it is clear.

The hair wasn't as full as I wanted it so I decided to put it up in a bun, but a low

bun.

I was really happy with the color combination for this look and I hope you guys enjoyed

it, thank you so much for watching.

please like and subscribe and I will definitely see you in my next one

How to Make Louisiana Seafood Gumbo | Recipe | Smoked on the Blaze Kamado | BBQGuys.com - Duration: 4:35.

Hi, I'm Chef Tony Matassa with BBQGuys.com, in this video we are making one of my childhood

favorites, and certainly a south Louisiana staple, we are making a creole style gumbo,

and I'll be smoking mine today in my Blaze Kamado.

Let's get started on the roux!

I have my kamado setup with a 9 quart cast iron pot on top of my Blaze 4 in 1 stainless

cooking plate.

For the roux, pour in some clarified butter.

Now, gradually incorporate your flour.

Today I am actually using a gluten free flour blend, but of course you can use bread or

all-purpose flour if you prefer, the procedure is the same.

I have added a few soaked pecan wood chips on top of my lit charcoal, this will add some

nice smokey flavor throughout the cook process.

When making gumbo, I prefer making a blended light and dark roux, that way you get the

thickening qualities of a lighter roux, and the nutty flavor of a dark one.

For the light roux, I am shooting for the color of peanut butter.

Make sure to keep the roux moving the whole time, you don't want it to burn!

After about 30 minutes of cooking this light roux, I've reached the color I want, I'll

set that aside, and work on my dark roux.

I want my dark roux to resemble the color of hot chocolate, this will probably take

you around 45 minutes, but I think most cajuns tend to time this with how many beers they

drink during the process!

Once you've reached a rich chocolate color with your dark roux, go ahead and incorporate

the light roux from earlier.

Our roux is smelling great, I'll remove it from the heat, and set it aside for when

we need it in a little while.

Let's start this gumbo by browning some andouille sausage... then of course it wouldn't

be gumbo without the Cajun Holy Trinity, which is onion, bell pepper, and celery.

Now.. red bell pepper isn't traditional, but I like it, so it's going in.

Saute this mixture for a few minutes to reduce, and season with some kosher salt and black

pepper.

Next, I'll add in some diced shallots….and a generous amount of minced garlic.

Saute for about a minute, until the garlic is fragrant.

Now add in some shrimp stock, I made my own by simmering the heads and shells from the

shrimp that will be going in later, along with some onion, celery, shallots, and a little

white wine.

Follow that with some clam juice.

For our dry seasonings, we have some creole seasoning blend... a little dried thyme…

dried oregano..Old Bay Seasoning...

White pepper.. and Cayenne pepper.

I'll go ahead and pour in a few cups of water, leaving enough room in the pot for

the rest of the ingredients.

This is a good time to add a few splashes of your favorite hot sauce.

Now grab your blended roux, and gradually whisk it into your gumbo base.

I was able to find some beautiful Louisiana blue crabs, so I'll add them in now so they

can cook for the last 10 minutes, this will add some delicious flavor to the gumbo, and

they look great as a plate garnish.

Follow the crab with some sliced green onion, and chopped parsley.

During the last 3 minutes of boiling, it's time to add the finishing golden touches to

this seafood gumbo…stir in 2 lbs.

Of medium size shrimp…

2 lbs of regular lump crab meat..

And 1 lb. jumbo lump crab meat.

Let your gumbo simmer for a couple minutes, which brings us to the moment that makes all

of our preparation and stirring worthwhile… let's eat!

ca ce'st bon! That was excellent creole flavor, and gluten free! I hope you enjoyed it today, thank you for watching. I'm Chef Tony Matassa, and remember.. at BBQGuys.com, we SMOKE.. the competition!

How to make school easier - Duration: 3:54.

If only there was a way to make school easier...

Well, there is! Thanks to the Internetz.

Here are a couple of ways to simplify your schoolyear.

Let's go!

Google Chrome... Bookmarks

Click on Bookmark Manager.

And you're gonna create a new folder.

You're gonna call this folder anything. You can call it second semester… whatever.

Now, you can save into that folder anything that you find that's related to the specific classes you're taking.

That way, you're not gonna mix all your cat videos and stupid shit with the important shit from school, no.

Okay so for the next couple of hacks, we're gonna use Google Chrome Extensions

Here's the first one: Type in "Cite This For Me"

Wait for it to load...

Click on "Add to Chrome"

Yeah, just add that bitch! Mmm, like that.

It's gonna be on the top of your browser and it's gonna look like that.

Click on it and type the book or article that you need to cite for your homework. Just type it in and look at the options.

Now all you need to do is copy paste that shit into the document.

You're all set!

The next extension is called Google Dictionary. This one allows you to look up words in less than 5 seconds.

Just type it in, click define and there you have it! Now you can use it or do whatever the hell you want with it.

Allright, this one is perfect for writing those annoying essays.

ou have to create a fake account, just type in whatever.

Start writing your essay and it's gonna fix every single mistake you make, and it's not just spelling I'm talking about here.

Take this example...

It's telling me I'm an idiot because I wrote Disney in lowercase. And it's gonna fix it for me.

Next, we have Speakit!

Again, just download it and now you have a narrator for your lazy ass.

You don't have to read anymore. Hooray!

All you have to do is highlight the text and it's gonna do the work for you.

Check it out!

"Honey" is a great extension that's gonna find discount codes when you need to buy something online.

I use it for textbooks.

The codes don't always work, but it's pretty nice to have it.

Do you find yourself scrolling down that Instagram feed over and over again?

Or maybe watching ownage pranks instead of reading?

Block & focus is there to help.

It's gonna block all those distractions and it's gonna give you a pretty awesome quote to make you feel bad about yourself.

Sleepyti.me is pretty cool if you're falling asleep in class every day.

Let's say you have a class at 8 and you wanna wake up at, idk, 6:30.

This site will tell you the time that you should go to bed in order to have a good night's sleep. Just pick a timeframe!

Alternatively, you can tell it that you're going to sleep right now and it's gonna tell you okay, this are the times you should set the alarm for.

If you're like me, you enjoy studying when it's raining outside. This is what rainymood.com does, it's a pretty awesome background loop.

And last but not least, we got f.lux, which automatically adjusts the brightness of your screen, so it doesn't fuck up your eyes.

Allright, that's all I got.

I'm sure there's many more hacks, the internet is an amazing place

So what other sites do you use to help yourself study?

Comment them down below!

See ya!

Why Does Toothpaste Make Things Like Orange Juice Taste So Awful? - Duration: 3:22.

Why Does Toothpaste Make Things Like Orange Juice Taste So Awful?

You may think the reason toothpaste makes things like orange juice taste so awful is

simply due to the common mint flavor of toothpaste clashing with other flavors, but this isn't

actually what's going on here.

The real culprit is thought to be two compounds almost universally added to toothpastes -sodium

lauryl sulfate and sodium lauryl ether sulfate, which are anionic surfactants, meaning they

lower the surface tension of water.

Why is that desirable in toothpaste?

Because it works as something of a detergent, and makes the toothpaste foam to help it spread

around inside your mouth easier.

Besides any cleaning effect, this has the by-product of making you feel like the toothpaste

is doing something, which toothpaste manufacturers have found to be a great way to get people

to buy more of their toothpaste.

Mint is added to toothpaste for this same reason, as it leaves your mouth feeling cool,

clean, and fresh, particularly if it's well distributed throughout your mouth.

As Tracy Sinclair, one-time brand manager at Oral-B stated in the book The Power of

Habit, by Charles Duhigg,

Consumers need some kind of signal that a product is working.

We can make toothpaste taste like anything — blueberries, green tea — and as long

as it has a cool tingle, people feel like their mouth is clean.

The tingling doesn't make the toothpaste work any better.

It just convinces people it's doing the job.

(Interestingly enough, besides any real cleaning effect, sodium lauryl sulfate is added to

shampoo for similar marketing reasons, as people perceive that foaming shampoo works

better than non-foaming, whether a particular brand's foaming shampoo actually cleans

better than some other non-foaming shampoo or not.)

Back to your taste-buds -the sodium lauryl sulfate interacts with your sweet taste receptors,

making them less sensitive, and thus dulling the sweet flavor.

In addition to that, it also destroys phospholipids in your mouth, which are compounds that have

the same type of effect sodium lauryl sulfate has on sweet taste buds, except the phospholipids

dampen your bitter taste buds.

The net effect is that your sweet taste buds are dampened while your bitter taste buds

become more sensitive.

So when you drink something like orange juice, which normally has an overpowering sweet taste

that masks an underlying bitter taste, it is going to taste drastically different -in

this case extremely bitter.

So if for some reason your morning routine includes brushing your teeth before eating,

you can simply find toothpaste that is free of sodium lauryl sulfate, and sodium lauryl

ether sulfate and the food you eat directly after shouldn't taste awful, unless you're

bad at cooking, of course.

Sodium lauryl sulfate has been shown to act as a shark repellent.

There is also evidence that it is effective as a microbicide when spread on your skin,

particularly effective in helping to prevent infection from viruses like Herpes simplex

and HIV, which are non-enveloped viruses.

How to make $20,170 in 2017 | The #2017FlipChallenge - Duration: 10:55.

- I have this really interesting 2017 challenge.

It is my belief that everybody has a ton of tchotchkes,

ton of former clothes, ton of electronics.

I'm trying to find my iPhone but different generation of iPhones.

Thank you, DRock. You know, iPhone 4 sitting in your closet.

You know, a Ram-man, one that's actually from '84

that'll probably go for $9.

Here's my big belief.

My big belief is this my friends,

the 2017 Flip Challenge is this.

I believe that if you amass the hours that you allocate to

iPhone game for three hours here,

to when you're on the bus commuting for an hour instead of

just reading, escapism's important but if you want the

$21,000 that I think you'll get the end of the year and by the

way we're gonna have a 21-7 family thing at the end.

We'll have like a $21,700 club everybody who's hit it,

maybe we'll get together at the end of year.

Let me figure that out.

By the way, I just changed my mind.

It's $20,170.

The 21-07,

the $21,700 Challenge means it's the year 2170.

- [DRock] Oh.

- Yeah, I was like what the hell?

I was driving yesterday, I was like what?

Anyway, we're gonna have a $20,170 Challenge.

No cheating and you need to be fresh.

There's much people like Reezy Resells and some these other

people that already making tons of money.

- Marshall's employees think I'm Santa Claus out here spending

$2000 on shoes.

Ha ha ha, little do they know, I'm getting that online money.

(laughs) - New fresh.

You've never done it before or you've never amassed more than

$5,000 before and you're gonna do this $20,170 Challenge

I believe if you take that one hour when you're commuting and

actually search on eBay and search what are clothes worth?

What are hammers worth?

Like what is this hammer worth?

DRock, you know how much this hammer will go for?

- [DRock] $20.

- Yeah, $7.99 better than zero.

Especially when you don't have it.

- [DRock] You have two hammers. $14.

- Where's the other hammer? - [DRock] Right there.

- [Gary] Fuck, two hammers.

$14. This one might go for $9. (cash register rings)

What you can easily go search hammer and

you can go then to completed items,

sold items and see what people are doing.

The tens, let's go ask AJ actually.

Bro! - [AJ] Yeah.

- [Gary] Real quick, how many hours do you think you put in

researching eBay sold completed, how'd we build our education?

How many hours really? What's your gut?

- Realistically? You'll tweet 1,000.

- [Gary] But it's not that. - I don't think it's 1,000.

- [Gary] I get excited sometimes.

- I would say...

- [Gary] We would get pumped on Friday nights.

- Yeah, do it for like two or three hours just that.

- On Friday nights me and AJ would literally be on instant

messenger back in the day, pre-mobile,

and (AJ laughs), right pre-mobile?

- Yeah, yeah. I'm laughing 'cause I haven't used

instant messenger in a long time.

- Yeah. We literally would, I would have to,

we lived far away.

I was in New York,

he was in Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

Oh no, - [Both] We met in Springfield.

- Because you were driving now. Anyway, nonetheless.

- Three or four hours.

- We'd have to get up at 4 o'clock in the morning.

5 o'clock in the morning to go to these flea markets and then

garage sales and at midnight

we're like sending each other a link like,

"Wait a minute, marbles are worth a lot of money."

- Buttons and jars.

- Do you have any video games?

- [AJ] What do you think Gar?

- [Gary] What's the best you think you could do on it?

- [Woman] $40?

- Give the lady $40. He'll like it.

Anyway, take every hour,

every hour this year to make this $21--

- [AJ] I'd say, I would say a 150 to 300 hours.

- [Gary] Okay, great.

And by the way, we only did it on like 15 categories.

It's a never-ending game.

- [AJ] Well because you want to be positioned if you want to buy

mugs, you got to be in a position that when you walk in

to a garage sale and they have 40 mugs and they're asking $5 a

piece you need to be able to cherry pick two of them.

- Information expert.

But AJ, the thing that's changed huge,

did AJ have to go?

- [AJ] Right, you have phone, you can look it up.

- [Gary] Yeah.

- [AJ] It's gonna be $200. - [Justin] Really?

- $40 to $200 boys and girls.

- [AJ] With all the pieces, $150.

- That's how you make $150 in 10 seconds at 7:30 in the morning

on a Saturday.

It's easier, you have a phone on you.

You take your phone, you take your eBay app,

you can literally scan some items if they have a UPC but if

not you just search Flintstones mug,

you go to completed items, you see how much it sold for,

how often it sold.

Understand the supply and demand of the market and if the person,

by the way mugs are a quarter they're not $5 at garage sales.

They're a quarter.

Maybe a dollar and you're like, "I'll give you 50 cents," and

you can make $9.

It's also a great hobby but most of all here is the punchline.

So many of you are trying to build a business and you're

begging for money, you're crippled by not having money.

I have a huge community now on social networks and they're,

I don't know how many people wouldn't want to have $20,170

extra in their pocket.

And a lot of you have bigger ambitions.

I know a lot of you are about to say this is small,

I don't need it.

It's taking away time I could be working on my business.

I don't want you to take time away from your business.

I don't want you to take away time even away from your family.

I want you to take your time away from other dumb shit,

if you're complaining.

If you don't complain,

and you don't want the $20,170 then do you.

Play Call of Duty, watch fucking every bowl game.

But if you're complaining and you're struggling and you're

hungry and you can't breathe 'cause you want to win like me,

well then do this.

Because every one of you has a foundation of between $500 and

$5,000 worth of junk in your closet,

attic and garage basement right now.

Every one of you. It's insane.

Even the poorest of us in

America have stuff laying around.

A jacket you're not wearing any more.

Sneakers that are out of style.

Those sneakers go for $19.

I mean, DRock, I really need you to spread a bunch of stuff from

social networks like screens here while I'm yapping.

I want people to see I made $200 today.

I made $700 today.

I made $38 today.

The key is doing your homework.

The one thing I want to make sure,

I've seen a lot of you post and be successful but you've sold

your product for half the price 'cause you created a Buy It Now

price that is half the price of it's worth.

This image, that I sent DRock, completed and sold items.

You have to understand that.

You have to understand what things sell for and you have to

understand if they sell.

The reason completed matters is you can see 58 people didn't

sell that Goofy toy and one person sold it for $18 and

that's why you can't price it at $18 Buy It Now and think it's

just gonna sell 'cause the supply and demand is off.

It always comes down to the work.

This is the most practical real advice that I've given that

actually generates dollars.

It is massively important if you want to be successful in life to

know and try and learn how to make money.

If you don't learn that, you are vulnerable in any business or

anything that you create and so I'm very excited about this.

Young and old learning this craft because

you learn supply and demand, you learn market conditions,

you learn speed of execution, you learn so many things.

This is the foundational execution of how AJ was built as

a kid so I'm excited about you doing it but please make sure

you do the work and so many of you, already I'm seeing it are

pricing things way too early, way too high and stuff's not

selling 'cause you miraculously think people are gonna overpay

and way too low because you're pumped to sell this sweater for

$33 but it was worth 57.

So there's strategies of listing at $0.99 and letting the market

take over but if you're not good at listing the name,

putting out the title you may not,

you may spell something wrong or not put the extra thing or not

even know the nuance of it.

There's millions of people, probably not,

there's tens of thousand people

searching on eBay for your misplay.

Right, so do your homework, learn,

search, learn how to search, play within it.

I can put you there but you gotta take over and do the work

to understand that marketplace so put in those hours.

Learn and don't be crippled.

Don't be crippled that you sold

this sweater for $33 when it was $57.

Those learning experiences are good too.

So that's the punchline that's the challenge.

$20,170 in my opinion easily made,

easily made this year if you take the 3 to 500 hours that

you're gonna throw directly in the trash doing jack shit and

applying it to becoming educated and learning the markets.

We didn't get into buying stuff

on Craigslist then flipping on eBay.

Buying stuff on eBay and

then selling it on Facebook Marketplace.

Facebook Marketplace I think is a huge arbitrage,

a lot of people don't know.

They're just posting stuff, buy there,

sell on eBay.

There's also all these flipping apps,

Let Go or something I got to do the homework

but everything always matters.

The photos matter, posting it on social matters but don't spam

people because you lose them.

Selling them on Craigslist or

Facebook Marketplace or Etsy matters.

Buying T-shirts on eBay and then selling them as thrifty vintage

stuff on Etsy may create huge arbitrage and you don't have to

go garage sale-ing and Goodwill hunting and so it's amazing

how many things matter.

DRock and I were just talking about the questions

that are coming in. These are Google-able.

Don't ask me.

Don't ask Reezy Resells who's crushing it.

Google it. It's all there.

It's just the work.

You want me to answer you in DM form real quick.

You could've gotten the answer in four seconds if you actually

put in the 15 minutes to click 17 different links and read and

watch a couple of videos or read an article or two.

And I do believe that an enormous amount of people in my

community can make $20,170 this year converting leisure time

into flipping time.

Going to Goodwill, going to garage sales.

We're gonna go hard.

We're gonna do some garage sales videos this summer,

this spring, DRock and that's the challenge ahead.

(upbeat music)

- Hey DRock, hey Gary.

John Gianni here @DevelopThem on Instagram with my son Lex.

So you wanted to know about selling these things on eBay.

I grabbed this here at a garage sale in my neighborhood for $5

and less than 24 hours

I ended up selling it for 20 on eBay.

Once I did, that my son Lex sold

these two video games for $4 apiece.

- Thanks Gary.

- Thanks for all you guys do. Have a great day.

- For real though, I just dropped two G's on some shoes.

I'm mad at myself, I thought it was gonna be three G's.

I wasn't keeping track.

About to pull up and get some pizza on the business card,

you know how it goes.

When you drop a couple G's you

got to get some pepperoni and cheese, ugh.

- Gary, I'm taking your advice and selling my collectibles from

childhood to help fund my new company.

- Hey Gary, DRock.

I'm on a roll with eBay and also Craigslist.

Let's start with Craigslist.

Yesterday morning I sold two couches.

I put them on Craigslist they

were gone by 5 o'clock yesterday made $400.

And now the eBay I got these

Christmas inflatables.

Got the ugly Christmas sweater, got a guy coming to meet me,

give me $40.

I got a couple more on eBay.

One's going for $95, seriously?

Thanks Gary, in for five and more.

themselves

what's the least I need to do to feel

what's the least I need to do to be

successful

once I stopped asking that question and

I started thinking about really who I

could become and really harnessing human

ability to adapt what people need to

understand humans have become the apex

predator not by being strongest not even

by being the most intelligent but rather

by being the most adaptive to change and

when you realize all of us are born with

nothing no skills no knowledge nothing

rolando flesh that can hardly hold on

our job is to build ourselves brick by

brick and that is what separates the

truly great from everyone

they're willing to put in that hard work

they're willing to reframe the question

from what's the least i can do to what's

the most i can bear and when you're

looking at yourself on that long time

when you're saying what can I

accomplished over the next

suffering and back-breaking work that

i'm going to put in an indoor in order

to become something extraordinary

that's the key is you actually have to

perform it's not about convincing

someone else to you're looking good on

paper it's about actually delivering a

result is about actually becoming

capable of the extraordinary but you

have to understand the way the

mechanisms the very anatomy of the human

works and it works by building things up

brick by brick it works by starting out

terrible is something incapable of

something and being willing to put in

the work to find out to become that had

when people can move beyond

words when they can will be on that

bullshit right stuff people say they can

transcend that and see what it means

that actually

put in work to actually

something to really feel

everybody just wants to see the shit

come back to they want the fucking heavy

way to the ring they want the jewels

they want to riches they want the house

the cars uncle and

want to be great one look at yourself

and believe who you could come and even

more importantly if there's no one

around to look at there's no one around

to impress do I still push and adapt

when I'm still willing to push it and

now

that circumstance i still want to be

something and I still

Green the potential out of myself and I

want to actually

the potential I wanted actuated I want

to actually do something with it even

when nobody's watching

that'll be proud of myself then I know I

accomplished something because that's

real that's beyond the bullshit and

that's where people have to get if you

really want to do something

stop worrying about the echo and start

worrying about the shout believe in who

you can become tomorrow and let every

day until the day you drop be about

ringing that potential out of yourself

be about building something and becoming

something bridge

I branch putting in that day-to-day work

of building something of becoming

capable of something today that you

weren't capable of yesterday of asking

yourself how far you can go of becoming

obsessed with that process and no longer

thinking about the end

and when you understand the difference

between no longer focusing on being a

champion and instead of delivering a

championship performance everything

changed because it's the people who

build themselves into someone who can

give a championship performance that win

INDIA to make Stealth Fighter - Duration: 3:38.

With the induction of light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas into the Indian Air Force this year, the Aeron-autical Development Age-ncy (ADA) which has jointly developed the fourth generation aircraft with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), is now ready to develop the stealth fighter aircraft.

"The concept and feasibility study for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) has completed and submitted to the government. We are awaiting the government's approval to develop prototype vehicles ,"

P.Ramachandra, Director, Admin and Planning, Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) told this newspaper on the sidelines of the Indian Science Congress.

It is designed to be the 25-tonne class aircraft whereas the Tejas is weighing only about 10 tonnes. It will have the range of 2,800 km.

"The aircraft will have many stealth features for evading radars. The weapons and antennas will not be visible from outside. This makes the aircraft heavy and it will have twin-engines," he said.

This was envisioned as a replacement for the British Jaguar and the French Mirage 2000 which the IAF flies.

According to defence experts, the stealth fighter would be of great help during the initial days of a major war as it will allow the air force to target enemy's infrastructure such as roads, railways, airfields, radars, headquarters and depots.

ADA also plans to showcase the model in the upcoming Aero India exhibition.

Indian Air Force ordered 40 Tejas aircraft and 83 LCA Mark-1A aircraft with the HAL. The Air Force also wanted better specifications for LCA Mark-1A like mid-air refuelling and advanced electronic warfare suit.

"We are going to carry out the changes very soon," he added.

When asked about the prolonged delay in developing the LCA, he pointed out that the aircraft was developed within eight years after it was sanctioned in 1993.

"The combat aircraft can be customised to our requirement which was earlier not possible with the imported planes. More than anything we have saved Rs 50,000 crore for the country as the HAL secured orders for 83 LCA Mark-1A planes," he said.

The HAL is expected to deliver 10 combat aircraft per year in the initial period and it can be expanded up to 16 aircraft per year.

The LCA's naval version also is currently undergoing various tests at Shore Based Test Facility at Goa.

Some of the foreign fighter jets which are competing with AMCA are Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, Dassault Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon, Mikoyan MiG-35, and SAAB JAS 39 Gripen.

4 Questions That Will Make You Question Reality - Duration: 13:39.

Reality - what does that word mean to you?

Does it refer to your everydayexistence?

Is it something which is tangible and to be experienced?

Or is reality something else entirely?

Is it a virtual construct of our overly excited monkey minds?

Let's find out shall we, in our video which asks four questions that will make you question

reality.

Number 4: Who are you?

The field of neuroscience has been described as the last frontier in science, and although

it is still in its infancy, we are beginning to understand more about the human brain than

ever before.

But when humanity unravels the complex processes behind consciousness, decision making and

behaviours, what does this mean for our sense of self?

Beneath every single thought you've ever had, every single dream you've experienced, every

action you've ever performed, there is a chemical process responsible for it.

We seek out certain foods and sex because too little dopamine makes us depressed, yet

too much causes addiction to the action which generated it in the first place.

Glutamate helps us learn and retain memory, but this can make us agitated in high doses.

And high-levels of HVA, which is produced when dopamine is broken down, are now thought

to be one of the major causes of psychopathic behaviour.

Everyone's brain contains a different balance of these chemicals, and a variety of factors

can influence the exact composition of your brain.

The nature versus nurture debate is still trying to figure out whether such compositions

are genetically pre-determined or affected by our experiences.

But, one interesting crossover between the two has even discovered that historical trauma

experienced by your ancestors can affect their offspring's genetic makeup, meaning that nature

and nurture may be inseparably intertwined after all.

But regardless of which has the most influence, when we further understand how and why these

factors affect the human mind we'll reach a crucial moment in history.

Because then, we can begin controlling our brains to a more advanced degree than we do

today, and when this happens, does the idea of a personality go straight out the window?

After all, couldn't we simply manipulate the mind of an anxious person to create a more

affable, comedic personality type?

What about that jerkoff neighbour who never says hello when you pass him in the street?

Surely he could be fixed to make him a tad jollier?

And what would it mean to be fixed?

What are the most desirable personality types?

A workaholic isn't always a good thing.

Being forthright isn't always a bad thing.

Without sadness, we'd lose many great works of art.

Without psychopaths where would the horror movie industry be?

Which personality types are the right ones?

Obviously, if we could choose, we'd want to do away with the most destructivepeersonalities,

and this means we could end up ridding the world of dangerous criminals, or at least

reducing their numbers.

But how far do you go with this?

Where is the cut-off point between a good personality and a bad personality?

And who gets to decide?

But to return to the initial question of the reality of the human self, we have to ask

a question which seems less hypothetical by the day.

If our brains can be so easily manipulated, as we've seen it can be through electric pulses

and chemical treatments, then who is the true you?

Behind all these chemicals and your genetically inherited makeup, what is your real personality

type?

Is there even such a thing as a real you?

When you consider the fact that 95% of human decisions are made subconsciously, and the

rest are so clearly affected by exterior forces, the idea of free will becomes a little less

believable.

As does the notion that you, me, your aunt Sally and your best friend Steve possesses

anything close to what could be called a definitive, individual personality.

So the question who we really are inside may not have a fixed answer.

Number 3: Why is my reality the right reality?

As well as forming a personality type out of a random assortment of chemicals, the human

brain is also capable of creating its own subjective social realities, by perceiving

events and individuals in a way which pleases it the most.

This is why some people dislike certain religious groups, and others think they're hunky dory.

It's why some are in favour of gay marriage, and others believe it causes hurricanes.

Humans create their own social realities every single day thanks to some influential psychological

quirks known as cognitive biases.

Cognitive biases can make you warp facts and twist knowledge into your own version of reality,

and there are many stark examples of this to be found in everyday life.

The framing effect describes how humans react to certain choices when presented with either

a loss or a gain, and more often than not humans are drawn more to a riskier option

if a negative frame is presented, with positive frames causing you to avoid risk.

This was demonstrated in the recent EU Referendum in the United Kingdom, where the Leave vote

won by 52% to 48% with a campaign based almost entirely on fear.

This is despite the fact that the Leave campaign was seen as risky, with no real plan in place

regarding how the UK would operate post-Brexit.

The positive benefits of leaving the EU were mentioned by those in favour of leaving, but

they took a back seat to claims that jobs, power and money would be lost if Britain did

not depart the European Union.

This campaign won, albeit by a slim margin, yet such a closely run result clearly demonstrates

how some people can view the same concept under similar circumstances, and still come

out with entirely different viewpoints.

Obviously, you have to take a person's life experiences, circle of friends and media influence

into account.

But each of these comes with inbuilt biases too; including cognitive bias, which makes

you seek out information to back up your current opinions, and illusory correlation, which

makes humans perceive a relationship between two unrelated events.

There's that gay hurricane thing again.

And even though some things are easy to prove and disprove, other situations are a little

more complex.

Today you've got people arguing whether the gender pay gap exists, whether there are too

many welfare spongers, and whether micro-aggressions are the worst form of racism ever.

Who is to say which reality is the truth?

Is this even measurable?

Can anyone objectively analyse someone else's social reality?

Or do we all live in our own permanent social reality, one which is impenetrable to anyone

but ourselves?

Number 2: How the heck am I alive?

This next entry is a little lighter than the rest because my brain is tired and I'm trying

to figure out how biased and racist all my relatives were over Christmas.

But have you ever considered the astonishing reality of how you exist through everyday

life?

How complex it is.

How you've even survived the last 24 hours, let alone made it to whatever age you are

now?

Let's start with the past five minutes.

If you went to take a whiz, you could've slipped and cracked your skull upon on a wet floor.

Ten minutes ago you could've plugged in a toaster, only to be killed by the faulty wiring

some poor Chinese kid botched because his lunch break was about to start.

And how the bejesus did any of you survive the commute this morning?

Think about your route to work people.

If you're a driver you've just hurtled down the highway in a two-tonne metal can filled

with explosive liquid, entrusting your life to all the people who designed and built the

vehicle you were in, the road you drove on and the stop signs directing traffic.

You also had to trust yourself not to have a lapse in concentration or a mental breakdown

while in control of your vehicle, while also relying on thousands of other psychotic, hairless

over-caffeinated apes in motorised bomb-carts to do the same.

This pyramid of responsibility underpins our entire reality.

Every day we place our lives into the hands of thousands of others who have enabled not

only the existence of our world today, but also the worlds which kept our parents, grandparents

and ancestors safe too.

If Mitochondrial Eve had decided it was a good idea to poke a prehistoric bear with

a stick just for fun one afternoon, your bloodline and that of everyone today could've been snuffed

out before humanity even left the caves.

If you sit back and look at all the things that could've gone wrong in human history,

it makes no sense that you, I or anyone gets to experience reality today.

The sheer number of minute decisions taken to get you here is astonishing, and that's

before we even consider all the random occurrences and the junk going on in your body which needs

to work right just to keep you in good working order.

Ah well, it's a good job that none of this is real, probably.

Number 1: Is this all a game?

Elon Musk knows a thing or two about technology, at least I hope he does; has anyone actually

looked inside a Space-X rocket or a Tesla car?

There could be just a bunch of cats taped together in there for all we know.

But let's assume for a moment that Elon does know what he's talking about and that he understands

the potential for technology to change and manipulate our lives.

Does this mean he might be right when he says humanity almost certainly lives inside a simulation?

Are we the playthings of a superior race?

Have they seen and influenced all the weird stuff I've been doing when I thought nobody

was watching?

This theory originated in the first millennium, with ancient Indian and Chinese philosophies

first posing the question.

However, interest in the idea of simulated existence has increased recently, due to the

progress humanity has made in the field of virtual reality.

Just a few decades ago we were taking control of a yellow, pixelated ball to escape the

attentions of equally pixelated multi-coloured ghosts.

But today, we're on the cusp of creating fully-immersible three-dimensional environments, so is it really

so hard to believe that one-day virtual reality could become indistinguishable from real life?

The technology either does or will shortly exist that can create images with a higher

resolution than the human eye, audio with more depth than our ears can comprehend, and

sensations which feel as though you're actually putting your hand into a moist bowl of tapioca

pudding.

So if we continue on this technological trajectory, will we one day create a virtual reality so

believable, that someone could be born inside it with a conscious mind, and remain unaware

of true reality throughout their entire lives?

Musk believes so, as he feels that because humanity has the potential to one day create

advanced simulations, it is therefore almost inconceivable that we ourselves

are not living inside a reality created by a superior race because it's highly unlikely

that we were the first to achieve this.

In fact, he pegs our chances of being at the top of this virtual reality food-chain at

one in billions, and I do not like those odds at all.

This theory is now a genuine field of scientific inquiry, and the US Department of Energy's

Fermilab has undertaken a number of experiments whose results have been so far inconclusive.

But while some proponents of simulated existence are worrying that we could be approaching

the point where our simulation is turned off, due to our current technological advancements,

Elon Musk is a little more blasé about the situation.

He's discussed this topic at length, so much so that Musk and his brother have agreed that

whenever they're in a hot tub together, they will not talk about simulation theory, because

in his words, "it really kills the magic".

Wow.

I guess now we know why Elon wants a self-driving car; it's so he can feel up his siblings in

the back seat.

And that's our list.

Has this video collapsed your brain into a pile of useless goop?

Are you now so entrenched in misanthropic existentialism that you just want to stay

inside and forget the world exists?

Super.
