The Australian Open finalist sits down with WTA Insider to discuss how she's managing her blistering start to 2019

-A +AWTA Insider Courtney NguyenFebruary 17, 2019 DUBAI, UAE - World No.3 Petra Kvitova is doing her best to recharge after a grueling first five weeks of the season, but the Australian Open finalist says it's been difficult to escape the physical and emotional exhaustion stemming from her sparkling start to 2019

"It was a crushing time for me, to be honest," Kvitova told WTA Insider ahead of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

"I came home from the Australian Open because I had to get my passport with my visa to Russia and flew the next day to St

Petersburg. I was really looking forward to being there again. It's a nice tournament

I came there with friends and it was fun." "Then I flew to Monaco, then to the Czech Republic, where I had different reasons to be there

Then a few days of practice. Of course, it's not really easy to practice after an exhausting beginning of the season, which I really had

I still do feel it.  "Physically and mentally, it's still not 100%, but it's the tennis world and we are just in a circle and it's tough to do anything against it

" READ: Dubai Draw Analysis Over the last 12 months, Kvitova has become the Queen of the Streak

She has posted double-digit win streaks three times over that span, the most recent of course being an 11-match win streak in January, which ended with a three-set loss to Naomi Osaka in the Australian Open final

Already the tour-leader in wins with a 13-3 record and the most matches of any woman in the Top 10, Kvitova comes into Dubai after a 10-day break

"I played a lot of tennis in that month so I think I have a good reason to be tired," Kvitova said with a laugh

"My mentality right now is different from any other mentality in the world. I'm not feeling really fresh, to be honest

I'm not feeling empty as well. It's just the mix of everything, of all the emotions, physically and mentally it's been a lot on me right now

"I'm just trying to find a way out of it. That's what I'm dealing with right now

"Tennis is fun for me, it's a joy. Every time I'm on the court it's great, I'm really enjoying it

That's important, that I find the joy on the court. That's what matters right now

" Asked how she would recharge her batteries in an ideal world, Kvitova said a friend had asked her the same question a few days ago

"I leave the phone somewhere, I will fly by myself to another world, and being there for a while, and then I come back hopefully refreshed," she said

"On the other hand, I don't know if being there by myself will help me as well. So probably I need a few days alone and then I need some company to chat, laugh, and have a great time spending with someone

Yeah, it's tough." "I did have a few days without the racquet. I was able to see my parents, my family, my nephews and nieces

I just love them. they are 9, 7, and 4 from my two brothers. It's just lots of fun with them

They don't have to do anything and they're giving the energy to me. You are just focusing on them and not on yourself at all

It was great to see them. So do her nieces and nephews have any understanding of what Auntie Petra does for a living? "I don't think so

The older one she said, Auntie I know that you are famous. They want some signatures from you

But I don't think she realizes what it means." Kvitova is seeded No.2 in Dubai. After a bye into the second round, the Czech will face either Katerina Siniakova or Petra Martic

Liverpool news: Roy Keane explains why £75m was CHEAP for Virgil van Dijk - Duration: 1:24.

That is the opinion of former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland midfielder Roy Keane

Van Dijk joined Liverpool midway through last season for a fee of £75million. The deal to take the Dutchman to Anfield still remains the most ever paid for a defender

Van Dijk has made a huge impact on the Liverpool side and helped them reach the Champions League final last season

The Reds are unbeaten in the Premier League this term heading into Sunday's clash at home to rivals Manchester United

Keane was working as a pundit for Sky Sports for the match. And ahead of kick off he paid tribute to the impact Van Dijk has had on his team-mates

"Outstanding," Keane said of Van Dijk. "When they bought him you thought 'that's a lot of money'

Now it looks really cheap. "The key to him, whatever he has done, he has made the players around him better

"That's what great players do. He's made the other players around him better. "We saw some clips there, he obviously looks comfortable on the ball but he also looks like he wants to defend, he likes defending, he's got that bit of pride

"A lot of the modern defenders now or centre-halves seem to be neat and tidy on the ball

"But the priority is when you get your head on it, and he looks like he's got the full package

"A big, big player for Liverpool."

One Dev Question with Raymond Chen - What was your first project at Microsoft? - Duration: 0:58.

So, what was the first thing I did when I came to Microsoft?

When I started working at Microsoft full time,

I came into what became the Windows 95 team,

but my job at the start

wasn't even writing code.

It was taking changes from Windows 3.1

that was just wrapping up

and porting them over into the Windows 95 codebase.

So, I was basically a human merge-machine.

This apparently is not a bad job to have when you started,

because another one of our high ranking developers,

Laura Butler did exactly the same thing.

Her job was porting changes between--

I think it was Cairo and Windows NT.

And so, you know, the first thing you do

when you come in here is porting changes around.

And, you know, that's auspicious.

Roy Keane was bristlier than his beard during his Sky stint as pundit - Duration: 4:16.

Wrong end of the East Lancs Road for his taste, but Roy Keane wore the expression of a man living out Bill Shankly's aphorism that football is more important than life and death

The old warrior and serial winner was a masterstroke of casting by Sky. Even though it can be hard to locate the actual sport for all the chatter on our screens these days, it is worth it when you are watching Keane just in case he rips off his shirt and cracks someone over the head with his studio chair

I was most hopeful when his shoulders heaved and his chest beat as the seconds counted down to kick-off

He looked ready, at least, to hurtle down and snarl out some home truths to the pale shadows in the United shirt he once wore with such garlanded distinction

Smile? There was one in the five and a half hours, in the first few minutes. It was an ironic grin when David Jones asked him which of the two great North West clubs were better placed to create a new chapter of glory

'Is that a trick question?' asked Keane. 'You are looking at Liverpool.'The big match-up, leaving aside the sideshow of England's most famous domestic fixture, was Keane versus Graeme Souness, the two studio bruisers

They are so forthright and fearless that their views are not to be encountered in a dark alley

They are peas from the same pod, both bearded, Keane's a little bristlier. Their analysis was unerringly first-rate — intelligent, incisive, illuminating

Sky have set the standard in this area for nearly 30 years and Sunday's dissection was in that penetrating tradition

It was Keane whose old club's predicament demanded the greater scorn. Liverpool are flying — the 'real deal', as the ever-perceptive Souness put it — and United floundering

Character, or the lack of it, was Keane's recurring diagnosis. And players who are simply not good enough for United, he said

Don't blame the manager, I never did if I played badly, he added. And enter the subject of Jesse Lingard's new clothing range

'If that was a strong dressing room it wouldn't be tolerated,' Keane despaired, the revs going round the dial

'Football should be your No 1 priority. Don't hide behind your tattoos or your cars

You can do that when you retire.'Co-commentator Gary Neville, another Sky star, laughed a touch nervously at that, thinking the condemnation a bit old-school fierce

Souness and Keane generally seemed a little wary of each other — Keane's hands clamped to the side of his chair, their body language wintery

'Liverpool dominated everyone, I am not surprised,' said Keane when the result proved his fears right

'United were playing hanging-on football,' added Souness. Sky say Keane's appearance is a one-off

A shame.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus star was forced to stop one thing during Sporting Lisbon spell - Duration: 2:27.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid in the summer and has made a big impact, scoring 19 goals to propel the Old Lady to the top of the Serie A table

Long before he became a superstar, however, the 34-year-old once plied his trade in his homeland of Portugal with Sporting Lisbon

Ronaldo dazzled during his days at Sporting and left for Manchester United in 2003 after terrorising them in a pre-season friendly

And former team-mate Tonito has now revealed he often had to force Ronaldo to stop training - such was his determination to be a superstar

He told La Gazetta dello Sport: "During training, he'd turn heads among the veterans, and I'd say to him: 'Steady, don't overdo it

' "I would also give him lifts [to and from training]. "But I'd have to wait an hour at the training ground, because he never wanted to leave

"I'd bang on the window of the gym and say: 'Come on, Cris, it's time to stop - it's getting late!"  Meanwhile, speaking in January, Ronaldo refused to rule out an emotional Sporting homecoming one day

"Will I go back to Sporting like Nani?" he said. "In football you never know. It was the right decision to leave the national [team] momentarily, but I'll be back in 2019

"Everyone in Turin welcomed me in a fantastic way. We're all feeling very good. "I don't know when my career will end, but I'm fine and I want to keep going for many more years

" Ronaldo is set to feature for Juventus when they face Atletico Madrid on Wednesday

The Old Lady are aiming to win the Champions League for the first time since 1996

And Ronaldo will be targeting a goal having struck just once during the group stages

Das große Insta Q&A: Bin Ich mit Rebeka Koha verheiratet? Was finde ich gut an CrossFit? - Duration: 15:15.

Sings Happy Birthday

How long is this supposed to take today ?

Hello

About one hour

Then let me use the restroom real quick

Today is time for the bro shoes

Good morning competitive sports friend and welcome back on my YouTube channel

Todays location is my apartment

from where I'm going to answer all your questions

I gave you the opportunity to ask me questions via Instagram

And I am going to answer them today

Be excited

But before we do so let's start with a coffee

Hurry up

I want coffee

How long have you been lifting for ?

I am part of the weightlifting business for about 11 years now.

can I ,,,,, *starts coughin*

What the hell was that ?

Can I still lift heavy weights even if I have the feeling that my joints sometimes ...

Isn't something missing there ?

OK well I understand the question like this

That you want to know if you can still lift heavy weights even if you got the feeling your joints can't handle it

Hmmmm No

Well how am I going to start ?

Your own body always gives you signals

And when your body gets the feeling that the way that you about to lift is too heavy

I cant do it

Then it is trying to tell you that and some kind of way

It could be a little pain in your muscle

But it also can be that your knee joints dislocates

OK that might be a little bit too much

your body will tell you what's good and what not

And a little advice from a professional

listen to your body and cater to its signals

Good luck ---- Or get well soon

Is a 38 kg snatch and 48 kg clean and jerk good for a 13 year old boy

Who has been doing weightlifting for about six months ?

When you have been doing weightlifting for only six months

I guess it's not about how much a snatch or how much you clean and jerk but if your technique is right

And what you shouldn't forget starting weight lifting

The joints, muscles and tensions get exposed to a lot of strain.

And they will need time to adapt

Therefore I would say yes

But even if I would've said no,

it doesn't matter

Because after six months of weightlifting

nobody expects you moving heavy weights

The most important thing is that your technique is correct

and that you have fun

After your personal opinion. how old is a person supposed to be, at least, to start powerlifting?

OK let me give you my opinion regarding weightlifting

I know that you can start weightlifting in your youth already ,

And I talk about the age of 8,9 or 10 years

And by that I mean you're not doing only weightlifting

you do more like athletic exercises .

You could almost call it movement therapy

So to start weightlifting about 12, 13, 14 years.

How big is your quad ?

I don't know

And I have nothing to measure it here.

This would be actually funny but I don't have anything here to measure

What is your guess ?

10 meter

I want to start weightlifting , can you tell me how to do it the right way ?

I would say the best way to start weightlifting is in a weightlifting club with a trainer who enjoys teaching

In case you don't know where to find the next weightlifting club

our association had a really good idea

They installed A club finder ,

In which you just have to insert your postal code and it shows you at the nearest club to you

You can read it here

Click on it, insert your postal code and then ..

And even if the club is a little bit further away,

I think it's still a good idea to visit this club

to get to know the basics of weightlifting

And there it rings again

What do you like about CrossFit ?

Well what I really like about it is

That you can go all out

I even did a couple of workouts myself

And the first phase is like

You are excited and you're full of emotion

OK emotion is the wrong word maybe you're full of motivation

And you just want to get things done

The second phase is more like

OK well I have another 15 minutes to go

Can I do it ?

I do not have any joy in it anymore.

Your muscles start getting sore

But still you fight through it

And the last phase The phase of ecstasy

You can't think anymore and start miss counting

I miss counted a couple of times even when there were only 10 repetitions

I am not in control over my salivation anymore

And I have to keep my mouth shut to not drill on the floor.

And your mind is somewhere far away.

Really

And while doing my first work out I mentally missed out on the last five minutes

When I wanted to reflect my performance I was missing on the last third

Therefore if you want to grow out yourself CrossFit is a really good way to do so

That is the reason I enjoy watching it

How the people ....

Well you know already

Is it true that you and Rebecca Koha are married?

I wish it would be that way but no

And it is nothing planned yet.

Well Ritvas wouldn't be happy with it and I am a little afraid of Eduard her coach...

so ——- no

What is the feeling like to always be the smallest ?

I am only 1 m 77 myself

1,77 is huge man.. if I would be 1,77 I would be really happy

Well sometimes I meet people they are smaller than me

Jolie per example

She is really tiny

Like this

The funny thing is

Even if the other person is only 1 cm smaller than me,

I'm always doing jokes about small people

Without exception and I think it's funny

The other person mostly don't think it's funny

Do you do other sports ?

No unfortunately not

I would really like to. I would really like to play some soccer once in a while

But I just do not have the time

If you train twice a day I don't know how to find more time for another sport .

And it would be contra productive if I do something on my rest days

But I like to watch other sports

Would you like to give squat classes ?

Yes I could do that but it's quick explained

That wouldn't be a long class

I think the limitation for the majority of people is the mobility

And when I hear mobility are always have to think of moving monkey

Therefore go and contact him.

Are you still an active member of the army?

If yes which career path ?

Yes I am

I am there for as long as the army wants me to be part of them

But this also go hand in hand with my competitive sports career

Therefore yes I am and my career path is

Seen on long-term sergeant

Do you have to wear your uniform from time to time ?

Do you have one ?

Of course I have a uniform

It doesn't fit really good but I have one

How did you deal with your injury ?

An injury always sucks

There's no discussion about it

The question is how you cope with it and how you cure it the fastest way?

And especially my last injury of the bone marrow odema

I really needed to rest.

And there was nothing I would've prefer then continue training

Maybe even training in pain

Which is definitely not a professional advice

But if you are injured

Dependent on how big the injury is

The best thing to do is take a break

Especially the people who aren't professional athletes as I am

Can and should really take a break when needed

Wait till the pain is gone and then you can restart doing sports

Why no belt ?

Actually a lot of people recommend that I should start using a belt

Well the thing is

Years ago

I trained with a belt

And I lifted with it as well

Till I forgot to bring it with me to a competition and it really made no difference

At least I didn't feel the difference

From that time I question myself do I really need it ?

Or makes it no difference?

Still it can be

a situation when you reach high weights and wearing a belt is useful

Therefore maybe I will try it again

Somewhen in the near future

Why do you breathe like that?

Well basically I breathe to stay alive

And in a free country like Germany

Everybody is allowed to breathe as he please :)

The next question is probably how often do you breathe like that

What is your personal best with the military press ?

When I hear military press I always think of somebody in uniform does a strict press

I don't even know where the name military press come from

Probably from the military

Does that mean you're only allowed doing strict press when you join the military ?

I don't get it

Well I never performed a strict press wearing my uniform

But wearing regular clothes

Not too sure it's the same thing still

My personal best is 105 kg

I had a really good day

can't do it always

What do you think before entering a platform on a competition?

Are you using any visualization?

Before I enter the platform I think ...

Did I turn off the oven ?

Did I feed my cat ?

Did I put my golf bag back into the cellar ?

Did I park my Maserati right ?

I'm only kidding

My Masarati stands in the garage.

Well before I enter the platform I'm very focused

I don't recognize what's going on around me

But at the same time I am trying not to get too nervous

So Actually I'm still cool

Because actually I know what it's going to happen

Are you happy with your performance and what would you like to improve ?

Well I'm never totally happy with my performance

And what would I like to improve ?

What would I improve

I would improve everything what gives me the ability to move more weight

This could be strength

But I'm already working on that

This could be technique

I'm working on that too on the daily basis

Well I guess my biggest problem is

My clean

But I'm working on that too

As you see I'm trying to work on myself

And I hope that I will gain from that

What are your goals for 2019 regarding your performance

Yeah I really have to give my all 2019

And mentally I think I can do a 160 kg snatch

And 195 kg With the clean and jerk

But I would still not be satisfied

Because I always want to do more

But 160 kg and 195 kg would be a great start

And if I make more I wouldn't be disappointed

The question of all questions

Since you made a cooking video with EDEKA Who did the female voice belong to ?

That was Charlotta

And Charlotta works for a Edeka

She took care of that I get the receipt right

And don't talk any bullshit either way

What is in your training bag ?

I remember that Gregor from All Things Gym did a video about this

I think I must've been at the European championship

We show you the link right here

So you can take a look for yourself

But let me say this, there are a lot of things in it

What is your favorite time to train morning , noon or evening's ?

Well Actually evening's

Because in the morning my body is still little bit tired

And noon , it is my time to eat and I don't want to train

Therefore in the evening

when I'm already awake a little bit and I already eaten it's my favorite time to train

Most competitions taking place in the evening as well

Especially the Bundesliga

And then I'm really motivated

What is the best place to weight lift in Germany ?

Our former national trainer Oliver Caruso

Open a big training place in Schwarzach.

I think they even opened a new training hall recently

And I think

Well not only think

I know that everything is brand new there

The plates are from Eleiko so as the whole equipment

So this makes it a really nice place to train

And I think it's the best place to do weightlifting in Germany

In my opinion

So that was it Bye

And if you like the video thumbs up if you dislike the video thumbs up as well

And greet your grandparents from me. Ciao

DER, DIE oder DAS? Regeln für Artikel im Deutschen - ALLES, was du wissen musst! - Duration: 7:35.

der, die and das - three little words that are absolute horror for German learners!

Are you ready?

Good that you tuned in again, because today's topic is gender.

Not the natural gender of humans which is man and woman

but the grammatical gender of nouns

All German nounds have a gender. We call it genus

There are three in total.

maculine or male, feminine or female and neuter

What's very interesting for German learners is that

34% of nouns are masculine.

46% are feminine and only 20% are neuter.

That means when you are unsure about the gender of a noun

you just use the article "die".

But, today I will show you a few other tricks to better remember the articles.

When you talk about humans, you normally use the natural gender.

So: the man - the woman, teacher - teacher, pupil -pupil

But what about all the other nouns that do not describe a human?

Unfortunately, there is no rule for all of them.

But there are a few small rules and that's better than nothing, right?

Let's start with the masculine nouns.

Weekdays, months, seasons and times of day are normally masculine.

Monday, Tuesday, January, February, morning, noon, evening, but night

spring, summer, fall and winter

directions: North, East, South, West

weather: rain, snow, wind, fog, storm, but cloud

car brands - of course super important in Germany!

Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen

Also very popular in Germany: alcohol. Wine, sparkling wine, schnapps

but, most important drink: beer.

currencies: euro, dollar, rouble, peso. But: rupee and pound

Now there are certain endings that are typical for masculine nouns.

motor, director

honey, king, vinegar, carpet

spring, twin, butterfly

capitalism, socialism, optimism

und the matching humans: the capitalist, socialist, optimist

computer specialist, mechanic, technician

doctoral candidate, demonstrator, president

engineer, hairdresser

Let's get to the nouns that are normally feminine.

Numbers: one, five, thirty-eight

trees and plants: palm, flower, rose

fruit: banana, kiwi, grape, but apple

You remember: 46% of all nouns are feminine.

So there are many endings which are feminine.

heating, bill, insurance

freedom, unity, ability

society, friendship

station, region, religion

music, politics, mathematics

university, quality

nature, culture, temperature

distance, existence, difference

garage, floor, jam

bakery, butcher's, library

many nouns ending in -e, especially with two sillables

lamp, street, trip

Finally, let's get to the neuter nouns.

You remember, it's only 20%

nominalisations - that means you convert a verb or an adjective into a noun.

for example walking. And you can turn "walking" into a person: the runner

the good, beauty, speaking

colors: blue, green, yellow

letters: A, B, C

Many materials: gold, silver, platinum

glass, plastic, wood, oil

fractions: quarter, third, fifth

And also neuter nouns have certain endings.

for example the diminutive:

young woman, little man, little house

theme, climate, drama

document, experiment, but moment

centre, date, album

property, growth, but riches

face, court / meal, light

and a few verbs that we have taken from the English language:

shopping, training

Yes, that is the best rule I could find for you in my smart books.

My advice: Always learn nouns together with their articles.

That's it for today!

If you liked this video and you have learned something, then subscribe to my channel now!

And if there are topics that you have problems with, write them in the comment box

then I can create a video about it.

Bye bye, see you next time! Yours, Julia

Arjen Robben claims Liverpool was 'the worst stadium' for him ahead of Bayern's CL visit - Duration: 3:56.

One of the greatest wingers to ever grace the game, Arjen Robben, will be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season after a decade at the German giants

The 35-year-old - known for his famous 'cut inside' from the right flank - has played with the very best from the English, Spanish and German top flights and has a rather handsome trophy return to go along with his impressive club resume

Robben has managed to pick up one La Liga with Real Madrid, two Premier League titles with Chelsea and an astonishing seven Bundesliga's as well as a Champions League with Bayern

The former Dutch-international will not feature for the Bavarians in their up and coming Champions League game against Liverpool due to injury

It's the first time in recent memory that Liverpool have had a better domestic campaign than their German opponents, yet Robben believes Liverpool have always posed a huge threat - predominantly in European competition - especially when looking back at his time with Chelsea

"At that time [Liverpool] were really capable of being this cup fighter team, also in the FA Cup or [League] Cup," the Bayern winger told the Guardian

"In one or two games they could really live up to it and perform; just not the whole season, which was maybe too much

"That was their biggest quality: they were there at the moment they needed to be there," he added

Robben went on to admit something that will fill Liverpool fans with hope ahead of their European clash, with the Dutchman having played at grounds such as the Nou Camp and Old Trafford, his views on Anfield may surprise a few

"I think, if you ask [about] the worst stadium for me, it's probably Liverpool,  "You always have your favourite opponent and there always has to be a negative one

"  Robben has even called it "the worst possible draw" for Bayern, despite the likes of Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Manchester City still being in the competition

If you delve deeper into Robben's history with Liverpool then it does become a lot clearer

He was at Anfield for Champions League semi-final defeats in both the 2004/05 and 2006/07 season

The first being that infamous Luis Garcia 'ghost' goal, with the latter being a painful penalty shootout defeat, in which Robben saw his spot-kick saved by Pepe Reina

The former Madrid man not only thinks that Liverpool were a threat during his spell in the Premier League but believes that Jurgen Klopp has set them up to be even more prepared for success

"Now I think it changed and they developed really well," Robben added.  "The manager has done a great job

"Last year they were in the Champions League final and at the moment they are top [of the Premier League]

"It's a long, long time ago that they won the league and that's the one they're dreaming of

"

In the name of God

I am Hassan Zarif Sadeghian

Worker in the tissue company, Mashhad

In year 1337 (Iran calendar, 1959), where there were a limited number of doctors in service, I felt a pain in my stomach one day during the working hours.

Doctor Radpoor, the father of Dr Radpoor who is in service at the moment in Mashhad, was coming to the factory on some special days, visiting the sick workers, and giving them drugs if needed.

I also went to him and asked for help about my stomach pain.

It seems that he misunderstood my problem and give me some drugs that after using them, my feeling was much worse. With help from my mother, I went to Imam Reza (A) hospital.

I was in the hospital for more than 5 months. My situation was becoming worsen and worsen.

First I was with other patients in a big room (10 patients), later they brought me to a single-patient room. I was really alone.

My situation was changing from day to day, and it was becoming worse and worse.

I have been received many injections, and hence, there was no single spot on my body without a trace of injection.

I was always crying, saying Imam Reza, heal me (Give me Shafa)

If you heal me, I will come and will put 2 Tomans (20 Iranian rials, almost equal 2 USD in that time) in your holy shrine.

If not, I will go to your sister, Fatima Masoome in Qom, and will complain from you to her.

I was uneducated, and had nothing else in my mid, I just was repeating this motto for several months untill the day the docotrs oppened my room's door.

I was always crying, saying Imam Reza, heal me (Give me Shafa). If you heal me, I will come and will put 2 Tomans (20 Iranian rials, almost equal 2 USD in that time) in your holy shrine. If not, I will go to your sister, Fatima Masoome, and will complain from you to her.

One day several doctors came to my room and did a review of my body and disease. I asked on of them: Am I dying? If so, please send me to my home, i don't want to die in the hospital.

They asked me: how has told you this. I answered (crying) I don't know.

The religious speaker (sheikh) asks the speaker: How old were you at that time?

I was born in 1319 (Iranian calendar), and this happened at 1337 (then, he was 18).

After they went out, the nurse came back and tilted my bed towards the Qibla. While she said that doctors asked me to provide a garden view, I was sure that I am gonna to die.

After several minuted, I passed away, and my sprint went away.

Liam Hemsworth reveals Miley Cyrus because he 'felt like it was time' after 10 years together - Duration: 6:29.

Liam Hemsworth says he proposed to Miley Cyrus because he 'felt like it was time' after 10 years together

They had been dating for 10 years before he popped the question. And Liam Hemsworth has since revealed that he felt like it was the 'right time', to tie the knot with his longtime love Miley Cyrus following their recent ceremony.

During a touching interview the Australian native, 29, told Sunday TODAY that he 'feels really fortunate to be with such a great person'.

He said; 'We've been through so much together over the last 10 years, so [I] felt like it was time.

Liam added that 'it was a really special day' in Nashville, Tennessee on December 23 when they married, and 'it was pretty much just immediate family' on hand for the wedding.

Miley has been littering her Instagram with posts from their special day, as she regularly posts more snaps from inside the event.

Most recently she took to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes pics from the unexpected union where she larked around with her bouquet. The Wrecking Ball hitmaker goofed around in the pictures, including at one point pretending to smoke an elaborate floral arrangement.

In the funny photos, Miley was still wearing her made-to-order Vivienne Westwood wedding dress in an ivory silk satin, which was reported to cost $8600.

In the series of funny snaps shared with her 83. 6million followers, the songstress posed for the cameras, at one point holding the flowers by her groin and mimicking a thrusting motion.

She also posted a series of shots on Thursday where she sweetly referred to Liam as her 'Valentine every single day', as she showed her love for her beau on the romantic holiday.

Alongside another shot, she wrote to her spouse: 'Thank you for always bending down to hug me. I promise I will always meet you in the middle on my tippiest toes! I love you Valentine!'.

Liam, appearing on Live With Kelly and Ryan last week, said that the We Can't Stop singer insisted to take his last name upon exchanging vows.

'She will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great,' he said. 'That was honestly one of the best things about it.

I didn't ask her to take my name, but she was like, "No, of course I'm taking your name."'. They had been dating for 10 years before he popped the question.

What If The Library Of Alexandria Was Never Destroyed? - Duration: 5:33.

The library of Alexandria was located in Alexandria Egypt.

It was one of the biggest and most important libraries in the world.

It was the focal point of knowledge and learning during ancient times.

It's a common belief that the library of Alexandria was destroyed once, but that is

actually false.

The library gradually deteriorated over the course of hundreds of years.

But regardless of how long it took to actually destroy the library completely, there are

those who believe that ancient knowledge and artifacts could have been destroyed during

its demise.

So what if the library of Alexandria was never destroyed?

That's the question we're asking right now on life's biggest questions.

Hello and welcome back to life's biggest questions, the channel that asks the fundamental

questions of life, I'm charlotte dobre, hit that like and subscribe for more daily

questions that will have you asking more questions, and make sure you stick around until the end

of the video where we respond to users comments.

Before I get into this video, I should tell you that Its actually a myth that the library

of Alexandria was destroyed in one fire.

It took quite a while for the library to be destroyed completely.

Named after alexander the great, At the height of its glory, its believed it housed over

half a million documents and scrolls.

100 staff maintained the library and its contents.

It was a research center and somewhat resembled a modern day university.

It had lecture halls, dining halls, meeting rooms and libraries.

It also housed the first medical school ever.

In 145 BC, the library's decline began with the purging of intellectuals.

Then, most famously, Julius Caesar accidentally burned the library and part of its collection

during his civil war in 48 BC.Julius Caesar set fire to his own ships, then the fire ended

up spreading to the waterfront and then the library.

Historians don't know how much of the contents of the library were destroyed as a result

of this.

But according to First century AD roman playwright and stoic philosopher, Seneca the younger,

the fire started by Caesar destroyed 40 thousand scrolls from the library of Alexandria.

Plutarch and Cassius Dio also wrote that Caesar destroyed the library.

But other historians say that the fire only destroyed the fleets and some of the houses

near the sea.

Whatever happened, the library of Alexandria was not completely destroyed by Caesar.

The library either survived party or was rebuilt shortly after because there are records of

scholars having access to it in around 20 BC.

During the roman period, the great library got progressively worse because of lack of

funding and support.

Between 270 to 275 AD, there was a rebellion in Alexandria which probably resulted in the

complete destruction of the library, or whatever was left of it.

It is widely believed that The destruction of the library of Alexandria could have set

back the progress of human civilization by 1000 years.

All ships that came to the harbour of Alexandria were required to hand over their books so

that scribes at the library could make copies.

Needless to say, there were a lot of important documents held at the library of Alexandria.

The library was essentially a collection of thousands of documents.

Many of the documents were historical in nature.

But how important were those documents really to civilization?

Did the burning of the library really set civilization back 1000 years?

Well, honestly, we just don't know.

Maybe some of the documents did burn when ceasar accidentally set the library on fire

but we don't know how many of these documents were destroyed.

It should also be noted that the library of alexandria wasn't the only prestigious library

of ancient times.

It was the most famous, and the largest, sure, but the library of Pergamum probably housed

just as many important scrolls.

Many of the texts that were housed at the library of Alexandria probably existed in

several other libraries across the Mediterranean.

In short, there were copies of many of the important scrolls.

When the library of Alexandria was destroyed, it meant that those scrolls were no longer

as easily accessible because they weren't all housed in one place.

But that doesn't mean they didn't exist elsewhere.

That being said, the library did house important ideas and medical techniques that were gathered

over thousands of years.

Modern medicine could have made its way into the hands of people around the world far sooner.

Who knows how many lives could have been saved by advanced medical knowledge that might have

been lost when the library of Alexandria was destroyed.

Furthermore, Almost all writings of Hipparchus, who was the father of astronomy are lost.

Could scrolls containing his work have existed within the library of Alexandria?

Possibly.

There's also plenty of mathematical knowledge that has been lost as well.

Practically everything before Euclid doesn't exist anymore.

Euclid is one of the most famous greek philosophers, and we only have 50% of his work.

Many historians think that Euclids lost works used to be housed at the library of Alexandria

and we subsequently destroyed when the library was destroyed.

How do you think the world would be different if the library of Alexandria was never destroyed?

Let me know In the comments.

For now I'm going to respond to some comments from my last video, What if earth was the

size of Jupiter.

Crash Coaster – Why does charlotte sound really depressed in this video.

cant a girl be depressed?

Jeez Cole Martin – Great video – these are

so interesting.

Glad you like them cole Jerick Mico – you should add clips or something

But if I show my face then I wont be an omniscient narrator anymore and you'll see that I'm

Ummm, I would assume you would be kinda stinky tina.

Currently, we can discover on the internet videos of John Paul II, the declarant

Satanic, I still remember that John Paul II is at the origin of the fall of

communism in Russia.

He also participated in the return of religion in Russia.

We can also see videos declaring that our Pope Francis is an anti-pope ...

For those who did not see him, he is purifying the church ... yes

we have the impression that the evil has entered in the church since he was there ... in

reality, it brings to light what is in the darkness ... so that all this

"shit" sort of church ... If there is so much attack against the popes,

it's that they do a good job and that does not please evil ...

You may have noticed, too, that evil wants absolutely that we believe, that we are

the end of the world and that there will be disasters on disasters ... it's a wonder

why evil wants that, what is it hides?

Many talk about 3 days of darkness, ... to Medjugorje ... where there are millions of

pilgrims every year ... Mary does not speak not ... these other places of apparitions,

where we talk about it, do not have millions pilgrims ... so be careful ....

Evil wants to talk about disaster all the time, that we are rotting the life with

bad news ... stop talking Evil ... talk about god, religion,

Melody to Martell: "What You Did Was the Ultimate Betrayal" | Love and Marriage: Huntsville | OWN - Duration: 4:20.

- So here's my concern.

Your mentality not understanding that this part

shouldn't have started.

I knew it was wrong then, and I know it was wrong now.

OK.

But it's-- I mean, I almost lost my family behind.

It--

It was such a slap in the face to me, I feel, because I--

I didn't feel like I had the idea that we

were in that kind of a place.

I wouldn't have guessed that that was going on.

And so now, we're not about to not discuss what the problem

is, because I absolutely don't know

what the hell the problem was.

It ain't like me and you were in a place in our marriage

where we ain't having sex, and we ain't kissing,

and we ain't doing walks in the park,

and we ain't holding hands.

What that concerns me that we were still doing all of that,

and you still found it necessary to have

a full-blown girlfriend.

Because I love you, that's why.

Though I stepped out in another relationship, that--

it doesn't discount--

Oh, oh, oh, wait, did you just say in another relationship?

So OK, we're in a re-- relationship.

Because ya'll was talking all day every day, just about.

Yes, no, you pulled the phone records--

- I sure did. - Investigate her, right.

- Yeah. - I mean, you saw everything.

How long was it?

That's another question I need to know.

I'm pretty sure you know what-- you told me how long.

I'm asking-- I don't care. I'm asking you, though.

A year.

Ya'll only talked for a year?

So you're still lying.

No, I'm--

I'm sorry, but that's irrel-- irrelevant.

I don't talk to her anymore.

The only relevancy is if you're still lying to me.

See, we can't move forward--

OK, OK-- we talked for two years.

If we don't put all our cards on the table.

We talked for two years.

That's a long time, Martell Holt.

Now, here's my other concern, is every time I mention--

I say something-- - Why-- I'm so sorry--

Why-- why is it--

Why do you have to talk about this during their wedding day?

Because this is-- well, because this is what I--

I know it's beautiful out here, but you talk about--

- Because this is-- - something negative.

We should-- - Because this issue what--

We should-- we should be hugging and kissing.

Look. - Hey, Martell--

- It is-- - --I'm so sorry, but--

Buildi-- building some of these--

Martell-- Martell.

80 $100 million buildings, that's something

we need to be talking about.

Martell, I really don't think you understand

how much you hurt me.

See, in my mind, I'm thinking that you and I

are Mr. Mrs. Power Couple--

- I'm sorry-- - Whatever.

Are we not?

I'm talking about--

I was a good man.

I was still producing.

I was still taking care of the kids.

I was still-- - Martell--

--taking care of the house.

To the d-- you hurt me to the depths--

I know. I'm s--

--of my soul.

I'm sorry for that.

Because the biggest thing for me with this whole

thing was the disrespect that came with it.

I answer your phone.

If somebody says to me, I didn't call your phone.

Put Martell on the phone.

You should have checked her right then

and say, hold on, who the [BLEEP]

you think you're talking to?

That's my wife. - I couldn't.

You ran off with my phone. - Don't talk to my wife.

I'm sorry. You didn't give me my phone.

Sweetheart, it was on speaker.

I said, Martell, say something.

Say something, Martell.

You didn't say not one word.

I'm sorry.

I'm not accustomed to that situation.

You heard your girlfriend get smart with your wife

on the phone.

You never took up for me, or defended me, ever.

I mean, why am I defending you?

Like saying something to your wife,

saying don't say nothing to my wife.

I did. I did.

No, you didn't. You stood there in silence.

[INAUDIBLE],, that's the first phone call, babe.

So how did I end up having three full other conversations

with her later on?

But you went to her.

Sweetheart, you must not remember

when she called my phone.

Is there anything you can do to keep your husband

from following in behind me?

Because every time I change my number he costs me.

How--

That's what she's said.

Oh, OK.

And I told her I have no pity or mercy

on anybody who wants to sleep with somebody else husband.

Figure it out.

OK, babe.

You looking angry right now. - I am.

You don't gotta relive that.

What you did was the ultimate betrayal.

People knew.

No.

You think this [BLEEP] mouth was so closed tight--

Oh my God.

That she wasn't saying [BLEEP.] That's a lie.

And quit defending her.

You're still defending her.

After that, Martell, you had me going to somebody's doorstep

at 2:00 in the morning, confronting them

about being with my husband.

You didn't have to go out and do that stuff.

I didn't have to, but I'm saying you put me--

you put me--

You didn't have to go and tell-- tell the entire

city what your husband did.

Oh, you think I told the entire city?

You made it worse by going to tell everybody

instead of keeping it--

Oh, hey, you can say I didn't tell everybody.

- --in our house. - I didn't tell everybody.

If your husband do anything wrong,

I don't care if I slept with 1,000 people,

you don't go out and tell people.

We keep that in our household.

You should have kept your penis in our household.

Man Tries To Find Daughter Who Was Adopted (Full Episode) | Paternity Court - Duration: 17:48.

Please be seated.

Hello, Your Honor.

Hello.

This is the case of Browne v. Hampton.

Thank you, Jerome.

You're welcome.

Good day, everyone.

Ms. Browne, you stand before the court with your mother, Alicia Browne.

You say your world was recently

turned upside down when you were contacted by a man

whom you've never even heard of before,

claiming to be your birth father.

Now that man, Mr. Hampton, is waiting in our courtroom hallway

and he will join us in a moment.

Now, he claims he has evidence to prove

he is, in fact, your biological father.

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

Now, what happened when you were first contacted by Mr. Hampton?

How did you even hear from him?

Well, first and foremeost,

I'm adopted.

I was adopted when I was three months old.

So, I have no idea who my extended family is,

or my biological mother.

I was recently contacted by someone claiming to be my sister

on what's called Instagram.

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

And from there he messaged me on Facebook,

and he said, "Kayla, I think I finally found your Facebook.

"Please let me know.

"I have no idea how much you or your adoption parents know about how things were,

"but I'll be more than willing to answer your questions,

"that they may have, and I have pictures also.

"Talk to you later."

As if he already knew.

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

Wow.

And so, what were you thinking when you read that?

"Who are you?"

So, you've never met this man?

KAYLA: No.

Never heard of him?

Nope.

JUDGE LAKE: And, next thing you know, he's on your Facebook saying,

"I'm your birth father."

KAYLA: Yeah.

He's not my dad.

Wow. Well, Jerome, I think it's time we meet Mr. Hampton.

What a story.

JEROME: Hello, Mr. Hampton.

JUDGE LAKE: Hello, Mr. Hampton.

Thank you for joining us today.

Hello, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Thank you for being here.

So, we just heard an amazing story from Ms. Browne.

HERBERT: I've been looking for my daughter for 20 years, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Okay.

I was in love with her mother, Your Honor, and...

JUDGE LAKE: You all were in a relationship?

Yes, we was in a relationship, Your Honor.

And she was pregnant, Your Honor, this was my first child.

I'm the one that gave her her name, Your Honor.

I did everything that I...

So, you were participating in this pregnancy and in the birth?

Your Honor, I moved to Alaska to be with her mother while she was pregnant,

I was there at the hospital when she was born...

I'm confused. If you did all that stuff,

I don't know why I'm here with my mom today and not with you.

I just don't... I don't know.

I don't get it,

to be honest. I'm just being honest.

Your mother was goin' through some problems.

I had the opportunity to take you when I met her at the mall.

I didn't know whether she wanted me to take you permanently,

I couldn't take you at the time.

I had to go back to Seattle.

I cried every minute on the plane.

Do you have any proof of this?

This is it, Your Honor, this is the toys that I first

bought her before they left, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Jerome, hand me the evidence, please.

Thank you.

So, this is a picture of the person

you say is Ms. Browne's birth mother.

HERBERT: Yes. Yes, Your Honor.

And she's pregnant?

HERBERT: Yes, Your Honor.

Okay.

I've kept this photo for years, Your Honor,

because I knew that someday I would find her, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: And who's in this photo, Mr. Hampton?

HERBERT: That's me, that's my daughter here,

and, and that's her mother, Your Honor.

So, Ms. Browne, what are you thinking as you see these photos?

I look at that baby. That could be you, or you.

It's just, there's nothing that distinguishably says it's me.

Maybe if I had that wrap that was around that baby,

uh, maybe if I had something...

So when you look at these pictures, you don't feel a connection

'cause in your mind you're saying,

"There's nothing identifiable that says it's me."

Yeah. Nothing that...

That's my daughter in those pictures, Your Honor.

Okay. And listen, that may be true,

that in the picture,

the baby you're holding is your daughter.

But why are you so sure that it is Ms. Browne?

I know her birth date,

and I knew the situation surrounding it.

JUDGE LAKE: Okay, now we're getting somewhere.

So, the exact date of Ms. Browne's birth

is the exact date of your Kayla's birth?

Exactly, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: And you named this baby Kayla?

Exactly, Your Honor.

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

Okay. When's the last time you saw her?

Before today?

If this is, in fact, your daughter?

I haven't seen her since she was...

(SIGHING) Since she was about two weeks old, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: About two weeks old?

Two weeks old, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: In your statement to the court,

you said you have a picture of her at two years old.

How did you get that picture?

HERBERT: Your Honor, when I went back to Alaska, Your Honor,

I came across her mother, Your Honor,

and her birth mother gave this picture

to me, Your Honor.

Jerome, let me see this picture.

JUDGE LAKE: Her birth mother?

So you went back to Washington and then you came back to Alaska

and her birth mother gave you this picture?

(AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING)

HERBERT: Yes, Your Honor.

And I still have that... (STAMMERING)

I've kept that photo on my wall for the last 20 years, Your Honor.

This picture?

I've kept that photo on my wall.

JUDGE LAKE: And she's two years old?

And she's two years old, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: So this is a picture of... Wow.

So this picture of the young

baby girl that you say is your daughter Kayla

has been up on the wall in your home?

HERBERT: Exactly, Your Honor.

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

KAYLA: I don't know if that's true.

Ms. Browne, is this a picture of you?

Um...

HERBERT: She's got the eyes, Your Honor.

I think it looks like me.

Yeah.

Has a little devious smile that I had.

(AUDIENCE LAUGHING)

JUDGE LAKE: This is amazing.

Have you ever seen this picture?

No.

It looks like you, to me.

It looks like your eyebrows,

and look, I don't know the results of the test either,

so I am here inside this mystery with you,

and I want to figure it out for you.

I know that it's my daughter, Your Honor.

Your Honor, I contacted Social Services, Your Honor,

and I told them that yeah, I didn't want my daughter to be adopted.

They told me that I needed to get a paternity test, Your Honor.

KAYLA: I don't know why. I mean, I'm 20.

I'm 20 years old.

But she's still my daughter, Your Honor.

That's a long time to go without seeing your child you love so much.

I've been looking for you.

I've been looking for you for 20 years.

I searched everywhere.

I want to hear from your adoptive mother.

Ms. Browne, please stand,

and I'll first ask you, have you ever seen this picture of your daughter?

ALICIA: Yes, I have.

You have?

(AUDIENCE GASPING)

I have, and I'm...

I'm curious to know how her

biological mother got that picture.

Oh! Okay, wait.

So you know this to be your daughter?

Yes, that's my daughter.

JUDGE LAKE: But...

But I never gave that picture to anybody,

and I don't know where...

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

We've had Kayla since she was three months old.

JUDGE LAKE: So when you adopted her,

did you have any information given to you about a father?

There's no one listed as a father on...

What are you reading?

Her adoption papers.

JUDGE LAKE: May I see that, please?

Yeah.

HERBERT: Your Honor, I got child support papers right here, Your Honor.

The State of Alaska was collecting child support from me for her.

Wait a minute.

(AUDIENCE MURMURING)

HERBERT: So they knew that I was the father.

Hold that piece of evidence, let me just see this first.

I took this child, several different times, at least,

for sure, three times, if not four times, in for blood tests...

Don't cry.

And watched them draw blood from her

to try to determine who her father was.

And they never could determine who the father was,

so they kept listing different men,

"Okay, now we think this is the father,

"can you please bring her in for another another test?"

And I'd take her in, and then...

I mean, at this time...

But they never came to me.

(AUDIENCE GASPING)

JUDGE LAKE: I understand your emotion.

The thought of being a mother and bringing your baby in

to have blood drawn,

to try to figure out who their father is,

I know that was really tough.

And yet, you're telling me,

three or four men were tested?

ALICIA: Yes.

And every test...

Yeah, because we wouldn't have been able to legally adopt her.

We had her from the time she was three weeks old.

She came to us...

Normally, we were foster parents,

and I normally wouldn't take an infant in

because I knew I'd be attached to them...

Mmm-hmmm.

But it was supposed to be just a weekend.

Then it turned into a week, and then I'm like, "Oh, God, please," you know?

JUDGE LAKE: "Don't take her."

"Don't take her from us."

And we went on for two years of trying, them trying to determine who,

because they told me they could not...

That can't be true.

JUDGE LAKE: So, hold on, I just wanna be clear.

Out of the three to four times that you took

your baby, Kayla, Ms. Browne, in to be tested,

so they could try to establish paternity,

ALICIA: Yes.

never once was Mr. Hampton tested? You don't remember him being...

I've never heard his name in my life.

JUDGE LAKE: Never heard his name.

Now, I wanna confirm from you, Mr. Hampton,

were you ever tested in the past? Were you ever contacted

as a potential biological father for this baby to be tested?

No, ma'am, no I wasn't.

They had me paying child support, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Let me see that paperwork.

They knew!

That doesn't make sense.

JUDGE LAKE: You were paying child support...

HERBERT: That's what they had me doing.

Don't they have to determine paternity to be able to make you pay child support?

HERBERT: I didn't know...

KAYLA: Yeah, you do have to have a paternity affidavit.

Well, then, they must have proved that I was your father, then.

There couldn't have been another man listed.

I wouldn't have been able to adopt Kayla...

JUDGE LAKE: All right, so here on this page it says

the paperwork you completed

states that there is an order for child support

in Alaska, and that the order names you

as the father.

Of...is my name on there?

HERBERT: Yes, it is.

Yes, it is.

(AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING)

I mean, my mom...

JUDGE LAKE: So, listen...

My biological mom has... I have biological siblings

that are literally consecutive years under me.

No, there is no other man, Your Honor, we were together every day.

I've celebrated her birthday every single year, Your Honor.

I've always put her name on the cakes, Your Honor.

Because, Your Honor...

JUDGE LAKE: Jerome, let me have...

HERBERT: I didn't forget about her, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Every year, you put her name on a birthday cake?

HERBERT: That's right, Your Honor.

'Cause I wanted to show her, 'cause I knew someday that I would find her,

and I wanted to show her that I've been looking for her, Your Honor.

And do you have any paperwork to prove that

you were reaching out to Social Service?

HERBERT: Your Honor, I gave you the letter from Social Services, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Department of Health and Social Services.

HERBERT: I've reached out, Your Honor.

In May, 1994,

"Dear Mr. Hampton, two phone messages from you.

"And I don't have a number to contact you. Please be advised

"that you need to establish paternity of Kayla King,

"and we can discuss reunification."

HERBERT: Exactly, Your Honor, and that's what I did, Your Honor,

but when I tried to do that,

they wanted her mother, Your Honor, to take part in this, Your Honor.

I didn't know where her mother was...

How did you not have contact, if she gave you a picture of her at two?

JUDGE LAKE: And look, Mr. Hampton, can you not understand their doubt?

They've never heard of you!

HERBERT: Your Honor, they knew, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: Do you understand their doubt?

ALICIA: We've never heard of you, I've never heard your name in my life.

I have this birth certificate.

And my parents are on it,

I don't see your name on it. I don't know.

Those are your adoptive parents that are on that birth certificate?

Yes. Which are my parents.

JUDGE LAKE: Exactly. Absolutely. Um...

Your Honor, my name is on her original birth certificate, Your Honor.

They had me paying child support for her.

I was there. I'm the one that gave you your name.

Where were you through all these months that

Kayla was with us as a foster child

and they were trying to find out who the father was?

Do you feel like Mr. Hampton is her biological father?

(SIGHING)

I mean, honestly, I kind of feel like you are,

but, you didn't take me when she asked you.

You know?

(STAMMERING)

I don't care for how long.

It does... You know, even if you couldn't...

(STAMMERING)

I look at my son today, I would do anything.

(STAMMERING)

I had no place. I had no place!

I don't... It doesn't...

Live in a car, you know, go to a shelter,

there are so many resources.

JUDGE LAKE: Let me just say this.

This has got to be

the most incredible mystery that

we've ever heard in this courtroom.

Jerome, right?

But the only way we're gonna be able to move forward is to get the results.

HERBERT: Uh...

That would be nice.

That'd be really nice.

HERBERT: Your Honor...

Jerome, the envelope.

Yes, sir, would you like to say one more thing, before we get to the results?

I've gone through a lot the last 20 years, Your Honor.

This is my life, Your Honor.

I've made some, some bad choices, Your Honor,

but I've never run from any of my children, Your Honor.

I've run to them, Your Honor.

And that's why I'm here today, right here in court, 'cause

(STAMMERING) everything that she has felt,

all of her life, Your Honor,

I felt the same thing, Your Honor.

I felt all the hurt, everything, Your Honor.

JUDGE LAKE: I see your heart is breaking, I really do.

I can see the emotion, written all over your face.

I'm glad that her adoptive parents were able to take her, Your Honor.

I worried about her, all the time, Your Honor.

She's had a good home.

And I've had it great, I've had a great home.

I owe that to your adoptive parents, for having you.

Well, are we ready for the results?

(MUMBLING)

These results were prepared by DNA Diagnostics,

and they read as follows.

If anyone would like to take a seat, they can.

In the case of Browne v. Hampton,

pertaining to 20-year-old Kayla Browne,

Mr. Hampton, you have desperately waited for this answer.

You...

In the case of Browne v. Hampton,

pertaining to 20-year-old Kayla Browne,

Mr. Hampton, you have desperately waited for this answer.

You...

...are not her father.

(AUDIENCE GASPING)

That can't be right, Your Honor.

But that is me in the picture.

I don't know what's going on here, Your Honor.

This is where paternity secrets destroy our lives and our perceptions,

and what we believe to be true,

because it may, in fact, and it unfortunately, obviously, is true,

that her biological mother was involved with someone else

besides you, during that time.

I've been wanting to bring some closure to myself, Your Honor.

This had to be done, Your Honor.

It had to be done, and, um...

(SIGHING)

I'm real sorry that things didn't work out.

Don't be sorry.

It's okay, I'm... I'm good. I am, I'm fine.

And ultimately, Ms. Browne, Kayla, that's what we want to know, that you're okay.

And that's what he wanted to know.

HERBERT: Exactly, Your Honor.

So with that said, court is adjourned.

Take care, everyone.

I was pretty shocked.

I think, I'd, like, convinced

myself at first that he wasn't.

In the courtroom I then convinced myself that he was,

and then he wasn't.

I feel very thankful that she's in a good home.
