hey what's going on guys it's modix back here with another tutorial for you guys
and in today's tutorial I'm gonna be showing you guys how to create live
stream thumbnails like Nick a 30 makes so the first thing that we're gonna want
to do is go into Photoshop and just load a 1280 by 720 project up and next we're
gonna want to go just unlock this background to make it layer 0 and then
come over here to your paint bucket tool just right click the paint bucket and go
to the gradient tool so next we're gonna just come over here and we're gonna try
to find like a pretty cool thumbnail to use or like a thumbnail background use
so I'm gonna try this blue yellow blue and you're just gonna want to hold on
the top of your screen and go a bit further down like this so honestly I
don't really like the look of that so I'm gonna go ahead and just click on
this and press Delete so that way we have our yellow right there and I think
that that will look pretty good so let's just go ahead and do that so I do not
like the yellow at all now that I'm looking at it so one thing that Nick's
been doing recently is he's been having these these monochromatic gradients so
be sure to go and like just play around with these gradient styles so this looks
good to me we could even reverse this that way we
can make it look maybe just a bit better you know what I'm not gonna do that I
like the way that it looked the other way so there we go so next all we're
gonna want to do is go get one of our characters from fortnight's so I already
pulled this up this is supposedly elite skin don't--if how much I agree with
that let's just go ahead save image as save it to my desktop and we'll just
name it zero zero zero zero zero zero zero there we go that's how I find
things pretty quickly when making videos then we get a file place embedded and
it's right there right on top so now we're just gonna want to bring it over
here to this side look at that already lookin
pretty nice now we're gonna want to go to our text I'm gonna want to come over
here and just type in pro because that's what Nick puts in a ton of his
thumbnails just pro player because trust me he is he has the right to call
himself that just pro player and there we go
and next we're just gonna bring these down a bit so I do have his thumbnails
pulled up right here and these are like all of his live streams so as you guys
can see right now this is kind of like what we're gonna be making I should have
done this at the beginning but hey you guys would have probably seen one so
like if there's a special event going he will like change it up but other than
that it's basically just pro player so it looks like he has this red then it
goes to goal or like not even gold but like I'm now on this kind of gold so
this red orange to red so let's go ahead and just try to do that so the first
thing we're on it we're gonna want to do is just double click on Pro go to our
gradient overlay see that's what I'm that's what I normally use for my
thumbnails but you do not have to do that if you do like it by all means try
it out so just come over here double click on this let's go down to the red
we're just gonna put it like this and now we're gonna want to drag not even
drag I have to press okay first then we're just gonna make a new one go back
to red well actually let's let's make this one orange and now we can drag this
over I keep on forgetting to press okay over there so we'll drag this one over
and then we'll just click again at the end and then we'll go back to this red
color just like this we can also adjust this by making it fade to red even
sooner and then we can just come over here just go ahead and delete that you
just need to click on there to get it let's just make the orange just a bit
bigger so I really like the look at that that looks pretty similar to Nick's his
did take probably longer time but that basically has the same look
to it just a different font so next we're gonna go ahead and just add a
quick little stroke I'm not gonna do white I'm gonna make it black or let's
go see what his are doesn't even look like his really have one except for
those but like on these maybe it's a bit thinner so let's just go ahead and make
it just a bit thinner there we go and now let's go look back at it so the
bottom ones just white so that is I'm just gonna go ahead and not a stroke on
that one so that it does look a bit more professional um I think that's the
perfect width 9 pixels really looks well I'm gonna check Pro out I think that
stroke might be just a bit too small let's go ahead and try 9 pixels I think
that looks pretty good so the next thing I'm gonna do I feel like pro could be
just a bit bigger so let's go ahead and make it 75 that might be too big no 75
looks good there we go and then player needs to be bigger cuz they do end up
touching the character so we're just trying to put the finishing touches on
it right now but other than that look this looks pretty much like NYX
thumbnail I'm gonna go ahead and put his thumbnail right here just to kind of
compare it we'll put a side-by-side view for you guys but yeah that's basically
how you make Nick a 30 some nails in Photoshop in Adobe Photoshop so if this
did help you guys out be sure to hit that like button and also be sure to
subscribe if you are new to the channel because it really does help me grow and
other than that that's gonna be it for today's video so thank you so much for
watching and I will see you guys in the next one
