Life After Lily - Duration: 4:11.

- [Tarah] We suffered a huge loss when we lost Lily,

she was a big part of the herd.

- [Shawn] A lot of the team have been here for over a decade.

So we've been through here through the whole life of Lily,

her birth, her first moments with her dad,

her first moments with her family.

- [Jason] I think the elephants are bouncing back

a lot quicker than the keepers.

Lily had a huge impact on everybody that worked around her.

- [Tarah] It's hard.

- [Bob] She was just that ray of sunshine that you had every day.

No matter what else was going on in your life,

you knew that this little girl was having a great day,

and you were gonna do everything you could

to keep up with her.

- [Shawn] I see Lily in her brother, and in her mom, in her family.

She was such a light in our lives.

You know, she was very boisterous, and very loud,

and loved doing things, she was such a spirit.

- [Dimas] She was a very smart elephant,

and it's sad that we couldn't see her be an adult,

and I'm sure she would've been smart like Rose is,

and that she would've been a great mama also I think.

- [Tarah] Well I think we're all spending a lot more time with Rose.

She was very busy as a mom, like one would expect.

So Rose comes over to us seeking out more attention,

and we've definitely been spoiling her,

giving her extra treats,

more for us than for her.

- [Dimas] She's coming around, she's doing a lot more now,

she's kinda engaged.

- [Tarah] Hanging out with Shine,

she seems to be really close with Chendra.

And everybody's kinda getting their place back.

- [Jason] You wanna be there for her.

Just being around and being present

I think says a lot in the elephant world.

I think elephants are smart enough to know

you know, we kinda feel the same way.

Because I'm sure as much as we read their body language,

they can just as easily read ours.

- [Tarah] When Lily passed away from EEHV,

we had a huge outpouring of support.

I have some friends over in India

that work with elephants there in the wild.

They've experienced losing calves to this as well.

I realize now that I had no idea what to expect

how fast and sudden it was.

The team here did an amazing job trying to save her.

I wish it was enough, but it's a really bad virus.

- [Bob] Having EEHV strike so close to home

has strengthened all of our resolves

to fighting this deadly disease.

Nothing makes it more real than have it affect your family.

One in five elephant calves succumb to EEHV.

And we're gonna do whatever it takes to end that.

- [Shawn] It's really, really tough to see her pass,

but part of our job is bigger than just being there

when there's fun times in the pool.

Part of our job is to be there when they're sick,

when they're not feeling well, to comfort them,

to be with their families,

to help everybody through these kinda times.

Everything that we work towards is to provide them comfort

no matter what happens.

- [Bob] You know, this is a massive loss for all of us,

but we have to continue, we have to move on,

we have to make sure that her death isn't in vain.

We're gonna continue to push research so other folks

don't have to go through what we've went through.

- [Tarah] We still have our five elephants that we love dearly,

and wanna do a good job for them.

So we just keep it up.

MY MOUTH WORKS BACKWARDS AND UPSIDE DOWN - LIFE IN A ARI SLEEPER TRUCK - Duration: 10:31.

all right everybody we're headed up to the black smoke black smoke matters

black matters event keep going to throw life in there well

you know black smokers life's matters this is not in and yeah things come out

wrong my mouth works backwards and upside down it's a hodgepodge world

let's go up there now it's snowing pretty good it's supposed to quit though

we're not a fear right guys let's take discipline chair

we're a couple of miles to the end of the smokey event that would sing on the

on the GoPro it's just the wall just solid wall trucks

I'm sure most of them have no clue what they're in with but yeah it's still a

wallop brother

now you we can get up here and do an interview hopefully they've set a little

some time aside for such things as introduced that would be great

a good deal people

okay everybody this is after the video video the video interview we did with

black smoke guys it's probably too big I'll probably have to upload it

singularly all by itself separate from this you know because but it was really

productive and made with some really nice guys they were good all hands we

would call them definitely wasn't they yeah

hey was enough to cause no trouble be bad well they didn't walk one way they

went snow one anyway they had a slow road and it was okay and then police

escorted them and they were all nice guys so we came

over here to the Cracker Barrel afterwards to partake of their excellent

food and it was very good too bad he wasn't here to enjoy it as the girl did

the crackhead they are in the mail what actually happened was when I went in 16

days ago and ordered my plates and they said you're good you're good to go

they'll be in the mail tomorrow well somehow they had a computer glitch and

the next person that came in in line behind me their information ended up in

the computer with our truck so either I was leased to them

or they released a commitment maybe there are information that we had a

20-17 Peter bill with another company under our do t stuff correct they add

they added their truck to our account and then they were saying with your

fleet you got to change this and this because you got multiple tracks right

but I didn't he called him that he had you know that information it couldn't

just magically got there but I only found out because I was on the website

and it was this is what the website tells me so then I googled the people

and they lived over my hazard Kentucky they're on the other side of the world

now their heads in Georgia County still a sentiment

okay it has ties but anyway so I got her name I googled her up got her telephone

number and called her had a real good conversation with her she knew exactly

what had happened because when she was in the office she realized something

that happened when she was on the computer she said help me guys and they

helped her but they told her I will take care of this and he don't got to worry

about it we'll take care of it well they didn't and when I called them about it

they told me I should not have contacted that lady that I had no business

discussing business that was my business with anyone else and you know what I had

to do I had to button my lip and be nice you know what I wanted to do even

convince the guy but he's not the one that entered these other people's

information you don't have a copy of their leads you don't have their VIN

number we don't have that well we have it now

I have no business knowing their information anyway and he's probably

confidentiality breach thing is your first given to him and now you have

somebody else's all their information that's probably one who's like oh no but

he was trying to put the blame off on me he was the same guy I had talked to the

day that that I actually registered the truck and everything he was a butthole

then and a butthole later I don't think Colin

is supervisor to be doing any good and the girl won't let me choke anybody

anymore so I'm not gonna choke somebody in the

State Building I wouldn't mind choking him a little bit

you'd still be in trouble though security would come security would come

and taser you you can choke him and I want to record you getting tasered that

guy's 86 years out I don't know if he can make it up the stairs

but they'll pay them ladies in the past have always been nice and helpful and

never given me any grief up there at the Statehouse they've just got this new guy

and it probably is hate it it's not a very manly job so he's probably sitting

he looks like a manly enough guy I'm taking pay anyway he's probably sitting

there going he feels like a little girl working with

a bunch of girls he's ex-military I could tell by his bearing he should just

be happy that he came out the military and got a job that transfers over to his

military pension and he can still make some money retire early and then become

a truck driver where he will get treated like crap like the rest of my people

like themselves that's right I hope I hope you see that Ryan

because that was his name should I call him back get it last night

Ryan oh one cloves did it sound like Owen to you when you were on the phone

nice Maurice in hi Owen okay we'll make him Owen and we'll forget

grind I know what he looks like gosh

anyway we better get on home and I'll record some more of the footage and then

we'll talk to you from that 20

What If An Asteroid Hit Earth At The Speed Of Light? - Duration: 5:39.

Asteroids make us nervous, and for good reason.

Large rocks hitting the earth at great speeds can not only destroy large areas of land,

the impact can have knock on effects to our environment for very large periods of time.

The Asteroid that put an end to the dinosaur dynasty was travelling between 12-17 miles

a second.

Fast… but absolutely categorically and fundamentally nowhere close to the speed of light.

So…what would happen if something did hit us at light speed?

Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, the channel that loves to muse

on many a wild query – from science to space, history and politics to pop culture.

I am your host Rebecca Felgate, join me as we ask the apocalyptic question – What if

an Asteroid Hit Earth at the Speed of Light?

I am neither an accredited scientist nor a physicist so my answer to this is going to

be more circumstantial than mathematical….

But an early spoiler….

It would be a total mess.

Before we get into this video, why don't you let me know what you think would happen

if an Asteroid hit the earth at light speed.

While you are down there please do leave a thumbs up on this video and share it with

a friend.

Also if you haven't yet subscribed to our channel then please do so now - stick around

to the end of the video when I will be reading out replies to some of your comments.

So what if an Asteroid hit earth at the speed of light?

Okay, let's get REAL for a second before we insight any panic… no particle with mass

can travel at the speed of light.

The speed of light is the fasted known movement and seems to be only be capable by photons

– light particles.

A photon carries energy proportional to the radiation frequency but has no mass.

Stick with me for a second, Einstein figured out the mass energy equivalence – Energy

equals Mass and Speed squared.

As an object approaches the speed of light, its mass rises very quickly, as does the energy

to move it… making it impossible.

The Asteroid that hit earth 65 million years ago causing all the extinction drama hit at

between 19-27 kilometres a second.

To put this in perspective, the speed of light is - 300,000 km per second…sooo… like……absolutely

nowhere close.

Despite not even reaching a fraction of light speed, the impact crater left by the meteor

– the Chicxulub crater is 150 kilometres in diameter and 20 kilometres in depth.

The Impact was one thing – the dust and debris it blew into the atmosphere was entirely

another.

It covered large swathes of the world in dust and blocked out the sun for weeks.

It also caused massive fires and generated a tsunami tidal wave.

Annnd of course, we know it triggered the K-PG extinction event.

All of this for an asteroid travelling at 20 something kilometres per second?

I mean…… it's a bit ridiculous - as you can imagine anything approaching the speed

of light would be…well… ridiculous.

When it comes to impact at speed….size doesn't matter.

Think about it.

A bullet hitting you in the chest is more likely to kill you than being run over by

a car at 20 Kilometres per hour.

If something .01 the speed of light hit the earth it would leave a huge crater….

Like…… huge huge and likely choke the planet and plantlife with dust from the fall

out.

Aside of the potential millions of people who would die on impact, billions would likely

die in the fallout.

If something one tenth the speed of light hit the earth the impact would be so great

that it would crack a hole in the earths crust, wounding it right to the mantle, spilling

hot hot molten mantle, which could turn the earth into a firery ball…

Also, the light from the impact, which would generate energy thousands upon thousands of

times more powerful than the most deadly nuclear weapon we have, would instantly blind us.

We would die a firey death but we wouldn't be able to see a thing.

And yes, say an asteroid with mass travelled at the speed of light defying everything we

know about the laws of physics thus far and hit the earth… well… honies….

Its over…

If something the speed of light hit the earth the energy it hit with would punch a hole

in the earth right to the core, turn the world's surface into a huge ball of fire, the atmosphere

would burn away and we'll all die quickly in a blaze.

The crumbling earth rocks and moon would be knocked out of orbit and after the great blaze

we would be space rocks.

But fear not….

Once again….

It cant and wont happen.

That doesn't mean we are safe from regular Asteroids, though….

Although you worrying about those wont help… so don't bother…

NASA is on it.

OKAY what a cheery video!

- What do you guys think would happen if an Asteroid hit earth at light speed ? How long

in advance do you think we would know about it?

Answers on a postcard….

But actually in the comments section!

Before I go I am going to read some comments from one of my

recent videos – What if Texas left America?

T-MantheHero said: Honestly America would be lost without Texas?

Dominic Scott said: California leaving instead would be the end of the US.

Matt Morrison said: What if Scotland went independent.

Avery Loopez Baines said: What if New York Left America

JET LAG | Draw My Life - Duration: 5:53.

We have just begun the new year, and we are already thinking about going on holidays.

Some of you might even have found a good deal already to go to Dubai, Thailand or Australia.

Not us.

But instead of hating you with all our hearts, we are gonna give you some advice to get rid

of one of the most feared problems when traveling: jet lag.

The circadian dysrhythmia syndrome, or jet lag, takes place when we travel and go over

terrestrial meridians, and our biological rhythm, or circadian rhythm, takes its time

to adapt to the time in the new country.

This happens because our organism, day by day, is programmed to do certain things at

certain times, through the 24h of a day.

Tho not every time we travel we suffer jetlag.

Experts say you need at least a 2 or 4 hour difference to start feeling the symptoms.

Another factor is the direction in which we are traveling.

Jet lag affects us more when we are going to the east than when we are going to the

west, since we are going in the opposite direction of our biological clock, shortening the cycles.

And, logically, if we travel north or south, without changing time zone, you wont need

to worry about jetlag.

As for who is more affected, generally women tend to suffer it more than men.

Same as people over 50, who suffer it more than young people, because of their physical

condition.

How long does jetlag last for?

Unfortunately, there is no concrete answer.

Depending on many different factors, such as age, health, time difference… it can

go all the way from some hours to several days.

Studies say that, average, a 6 hour time difference corresponds to an adaptation period of 2 to

3 days.

And we still havent talked about the worst part… the symptoms.

The most common one is related to sleep.

We will be sleepy if we go west, since we are lengthening the cycle in the day.

We will suffer difficulty to sleep if we travel east, as we are shortening it.

As a consequence, more symptoms appear such as physical tiredness, difficulty to think,

changes in humor, memory loss...

We can even suffer digestive ache, nausea or diarrhea, since we eat at times our body

is not used to being fed.

If you suffer other things such as sinusitis (sainosáitis), ear ache or swollen legs,

you are probably being affected by the dry air, the préssurization, and the reduced

space in airplanes.

And now that we have scared you enough, let's give you some keys to counteract the effect

of jetlag and have it affect you as little as possible.

You can start preparing for it days before the flight.

Try and start adapting to the new time, changing your own hours of sleep.

Go to bed one or two hours later if you are traveling west, or one or two hours earlier

if you are traveling east.

That way, the difference with the destination place wont be as big.

YOu can also change your times to eat.

It's important to get enough sleep the night before.

We know, you'll be all excited about the trip and you'd rather sleep during the flight,

but having rested will help us confront jetlag.

If we have different options to chose from when booking the flight, it's better to

avoid arriving at night at our destination - it will be easier for us to stay awake.

When we are flying, the first thing we should do is set our watches to the time in the country

we are travelling to.

It might seem stupid, but it will help us start preparing, mentally, for the change.

Make your last meal before getting on the plane a light one.

Bring some snacks like fruit or dried fruit and nuts, and only eat light food to avoid

having a heavy feeling.

Another very important factor is staying well hydrated, drinking lots of liquids like water

or juice.

And specially, don't drink anything with caffeine or alcohol.

They not only dehydrate you, but caffeine alters our sleeping patterns, and alcohol

increases tiredness.

Two factors we are not interested in if we wanna get rid of jet lag as fast as possible.

Last but not least, it's important to move during the flight.

Exercising our legs while we are sitting down, or walking around the plane when we are allowed

to do so: it will ease the tension and oxygenate our blood flow.

And its also a good idea to bring a pair of extra socks on the airplane with us, to free

our feet and improve our circulation.

Once we arrive in our destination, there are two main things we have to keep in mind.

First, try to be outdoors so your body gets used to the new time, even better if it's

during daylight.

Sun light has an effect upon the hormone of sleep, and it helps regulate times inside

the organism.

And second, run away from taking naps, you fools!

It doesn't matter how tired we are, we need to try and stay awake until nighttime, at

least until 9pm, so we can rest better and adapt earlier.

It will also help cooling off when we arrive, so we feel more comfy.

Do some exercise in the mornings, to initiate our daily activity.

And have breakfast with lots of proteins, so we have enough energy to face the day.

People used to suffering jet lag, like pilots or flight attendants, usually go for melatonin

pills as well, the hormone our body produces when it wants us to go straight to bed.

We can find it in food such as hazelnut, banana, walnut or rice.

But truth is, the melatonin we ingest doesnt really trespass the blood-brain barrier, so

its effect is more like a placebo (plasíbo).

So now you know, if you have a long flight ahead, follow our advice and don't let jet

lag become an unpleasant travel buddy.

Happy holidays, tiktakers!

Meghan Markle takes style tips from Kate Middleton as she recycles a Givenchy coat - Duration: 1:57.

It looks like Meghan Markle's been taking tips from sister-in-law Kate Middleton as she recycled a black Givenchy coat for an official visit with the Association of Commonwealth Universities today

The custom made cap sleeve detail coat was previously worn by Meghan, 37,  for the National Service of Remembrance in November

The cap-sleeved style is based on a Givenchy Haute Couture coat and was created by her wedding dress designer Clare Waight Keller

Meghan teamed the coat with a black pleated dress with a handkerchief hemline and pair of nude high heeled courts

She also showcased a new hairstyle, an elegant high bun.  On Tuesday the Duchess of Cambridge recycled a McQueen coat for the third time for the opening of the new V&A museum in Dundee

The navy and green tartan coat, estimated to be six years old, was previously worn in 2012 when she visited her old prep school, Saint Andrew's in Pangbourne

And then again in 2013 for the Christmas church service in Sandringham.  Meghan's outfit was in stark contrast to yesterdays blush pink ensemble but was equally striking

The Duchess is clearly enjoying her pregnancy and has been showcasing some incredibly stylish maternity looks

The ACU is the last of the Meghan's four newly-announced patronages.   She went to the National Theatre yesterday and visited Smart Works and the Mayhew earlier this month

Enjoy a fulfilling life - Duration: 0:46.

Many people wait until there is a crisis or they have problems to seek out help.

And this is a very typical medical model, if you are sick, then go to the doctor.

But what about preventative work?

What about working on your being from a holistic perspective addressing your body and mind

through nutrition, exercise, being outdoors, or receiving acupuncture, or a massage?

And let's not forget the mental health aspect.

It's important that you don't wait for a crisis to talk to a counselor or a coach.

In addition, try meditating or journaling.

Doing more of these preventative techniques can help you connect to your true self and

help you experience a more fulfilling and rewarding life.
