Where are EastEnders' missing Masoods now? Here's what happened next for Marc Elliott, Rakhee Thakra - Duration: 13:36.

BBCDigitalspy Note: The following article contains mention of suicide that some readers may find upsetting

Since their arrival in EastEnders over a decade ago, the Masood family have gone on to establish themselves as one of the soap's most iconic clans, right up there with the likes of the Mitchells and Beales

The brood has changed shape several times over the years, and currently there are only three – Masood, Arshad and Mariam – flying the family flag in Walford

The dynamic is set to change again with the arrival of Mas's feisty nieces Iqra and Habiba (hello, double trouble!) next week, and news that the former postie is about to leave again

Advertisement - Continue Reading Below But whatever happened to the rest of Masood's famalam and the actors who played them? Let us fill you in

1. Nina Wadia (Zainab Masood, 2007 - 2013) Possessing the uncanny knack of being able to rub just about every Albert Square resident up the wrong way, Masood matriarch and one-time postmistress Zainab was an unforgettable force of nature

She fitted a hell of a lot into her six years on the show – giving birth to baby Kamil in her mid-40s, being divorced by hubby Masood, remarrying her abusive ex-spouse Yusef, before reuniting with Mas, only to leave him, and E20, in 2013

Nina Wadia was already a big name before she joined EastEnders, due to her lead role in long-running sitcom Goodness Gracious Me, and being a panellist on Loose Women

And the mum of two has continued doing what she does best since – starring in series such as Still Open All Hours and Trollied

2. Marc Elliott (Syed Masood, 2009 - 2012) Despite swindling his family out of thousands through a dodgy business deal, golden boy Syed was the apple of his mother's eye

That was until he went against his family and religion, to embark on a forbidden gay love affair with Christian Clarke

Chryed's steamy romance captured the hearts of millions, and after battling against all the odds, the boys finally got their happy ending, leaving the Square as husband and husband in 2012

Advertisement - Continue Reading Below Marc Elliott made TV history by becoming the first openly gay Muslim character in a soap, and post 'Enders has toured in various theatre productions, as well as playing doctor Isaac Mayfield in Holby City from 2016 to 2017

Sadly Marc has no plans to return to Walford. Speaking to Inside Soap, the actor said, "I reckon my EastEnders days are done, to be honest

" Sob!3. Preeya Kalidas (Amira Masood, 2009 - 2012) Pampered princess Amira was exactly the type of woman Zainab hoped her precious Syed would marry

But the couple's union was brought to an abrupt and dramatic end following the discovery Sy actually preferred fellas

Heartbroken Amira (who was secretly preggers with Syed's daughter Yamin) fled the Square in 2010, but returned the following year to try and deny her ex a divorce

After finally giving in, Amira disappeared once more. Preeya used the period between her first and second stints on the show to pursue a career in pop music, signing a deal with Universal Records

But despite winning the award for Best Female Act at the UK Asian Music Awards in 2011, and releasing various singles, she was dropped by Universal

Advertisement - Continue Reading Below Advertisement - Continue Reading Below Not letting her singing talent go to waste, the star took on the role of Pinky in West End musical Bend It Like Beckham, after previously playing the part of Monica in the film version

4. Himesh Patel (Tamwar Masood, 2007 - 2016) Even though he didn't make the grades to go to Oxford, bespectacled boffin Tamwar was definitely the brains of the family

He also had a rather wicked sense of humour – who remembers Rude Masood, the witty website he set up and impersonated fellow Walford residents on? FYI, his Dot Cotton was a stroke of genius

The shy geek didn't have much luck with the ladies, but following a failed marriage to teen sweetheart Afia, Tamwar found love with tomboy Nancy Carter

The couple left London to go travelling in 2016, and are just about to get hitched Down Under

Since leaving the job he'd had since he was 17-years old, Himesh Patel continued down the comedic path, playing the part of Nitin in Channel 4 sitcom Damned

Himesh also has the lead role in the new Beatles-themed movie Yesterday and he's currently filming for upcoming TV series The Luminaries

5. Meryl Fernandes (Afia Masood, 2009 - 2012) Advertisement - Continue Reading Below Afia was originally introduced to the show as a guest part, but as her relationship with Tamwar blossomed, she was made a permanent fixture

The young lovebirds tied the knot in 2011, but tragedy struck when Afia's deranged dad Yusef set fire to the B&B, killing himself and leaving Tamwar with life-changing injuries

The couple tried to move on from the horrific events, but after realising they wanted different things in life, Afia waved goodbye to Walford in 2012

In real life, Meryl Fernandes, who has the likes of Doctor Who and Minder on her CV, is taking on the most important role of her life – being mummy to her adorable daughter Freddie

Check out her Instagram @merylfernandes and get ready to go ahhh.6. Rakhee Thakrar (Shabnam Masood, 2014 - 2016) Zainab and Masood's only daughter was originally played by Zahra Ahmadi, before actress Rakhee was recast in the role in 2014

Her most famous storyline during her two year stay was also the most traumatic, when Shabs gave birth to a stillborn son, Zaair

Rakhee rose to the tough challenge, winning widespread praise for her emotional performance, and became an ambassador for the stillbirth charity, Sands, a role she still holds

After quitting EastEnders three years ago, Rakhee has gone onto big things – starring as English school teacher Miss Sands in the brilliant Netflix series everyone is talking about – Sex Education

She's recently wrapped filming Those Four Walls, the story of the three best mates reunited

Advertisement - Continue Reading Below Advertisement - Continue Reading Below 7

Paul Bhattacharjee (Inzamam Ahmed, 2008 - 2010) Masood's bully-boy big brother had two short stints in Walford, and made no secret of his disdain for sister-in-law, Zainab

Inzamam might have thought Zee was beneath his brother because of her previous marriage to Yusef, but that didn't stop the dirty dog trying it on with her! After discovering his sibling's indiscretion, angry Mas ordered Inzamam out of his life

As well as success on TV, Paul Bhattacharjee also had his slice of the silver screen, with parts in Casino Royale and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel

Sadly, Paul took his own life in 2013 aged just 53. 8. Phaldut Sharma (AJ Ahmed, 2012 - 2014) Joker of the pack AJ often drove Zainab (and us) up the wall with his annoying antics, but you can't deny he made Masood a hell of a lot funnier

In fact, Nitin Ganatra (aka Mas) recommended Phaldut Sharma for the part, after they'd previously performed together in various comedies

The actors recaptured their on-screen magic in 'Enders, and AJ brought some much needed laughter back into his brother's life following Zainab's departure from the Square

Advertisement - Continue Reading Below AJ left London become an assistant manager in a garage in Birmingham in 2014, while Phaldut released I Gotta Be Me, a ten-part web comedy, playing semi-autobiographical character Paul Shah

You might also recognise him from appearing as Leigh in Russell T Davies' Channel 4 series Cucumber

Here's why Texas' first ski lift is not such a stupid idea | Spider Mountain Bike Park - Duration: 9:24.

Over the summer I participated in a short film contest called Dirt Diaries, which takes

place in Whistler Canada.

My entry involved taking my friend Scott mountain biking for the first time in his life.

Having not seen him in well over a decade, I looked Scott up on Instagram only to find

that he was still riding his BMX, just like we did together in highschool.

To make a long story short, I reconnected with Scott, and he was all too willing to

participate in my film.

So that Summer we flew to Canada together to ride downhill in Whistler.

Scott was absolutely blown away, first by the scenery, and then by his new equipment.

He even embraced the part where you climb to earn your descent.

But coming from BMX, riding lift served downhill was the deal sealer.

Most of you already know how the story goes.

By day three, Scott learned to ride his mountain bike rather well.

In fact Scott was boosting all the jumps on Aline so hard that, well, he didn't even

need to go fast.

My friend mike normally clears these jumps but couldn't when following Scott.

Scott was hooked on downhill, and at the end of the week he was gutted to be leaving Whistler.

The video we made ended up getting third place at Dirt Dairies, and Scott and I had a boatload

of amazing memories to show for it.

But we both knew that it would be a long time before Scott would get to ride lift served

downhill again, as he makes his home Austin Texas.

While Austin has great food, amenities, and BMX spots, it's notably devoid of mountains.

Even in the hills west of the city, nobody would ever be dumb enough to build a ski lift.

This is the Texas Eagle, the first chair lift to ever operate in the Lone Star State.

It runs from the valley floor to the summit of spider mountain, a 350 foot hill.

Understandably, haters were writing Spider Mountain's obituary long before it opened.

Where would all the riders come from and who would travel to Texas Hill Country for a 4

minute descent?

Well, opening weekend happened and people traveled from as far as San Antonio, Dallas,

Oklahoma, and even Louisiana to ride there.

I traveled from North Carolina because I had to see this place.

Scott somehow ended up one hour from a downhill park which is closer than Whistler is to Vancouver.

I had to come out here and celebrate.

The funny part is that it snowed on opening weekend.

The whole selling point of Spider Mountain is lift served downhill in the winter.

While other parks switch to skiing by the end of fall, Spider's midday temperatures

normally hover around the 60s in February.

Austin is also the full package in terms of destination cities.

There's a big airport, lots of great food, and even a marshmallow dealership.

But a lot of people still have reservations about Spider's 350 foot descent.

Let me attempt to give you a frame of reference for how high that is.

This is Berm Creek, my backyard, which has 25' of vertical.

It's over in just a couple of seconds, but it's plenty fun.

Here's highland bike park in new Hampshire at 700 feet.

This will give you a nice 10 minute run if you take your time and stop between trails,

and it's more than enough for the likes of Skills with Phil.

This is Mountain Creek bike park in New Jersey, with 1000 feet of vertical.

That's almost like putting spider mountain on top of highland.

Stepping way up in vertical is Whistler Mountain in British Columbia, which from the peak,

boasts 4900 feet of vertical descent.

But most people don't go up that high in fact, you may spend a week in Whistler having

never traveled higher than the Fitzsimmons zone, which has 1200 feet of vertical.

That's where Aline, Crank it up, and all the jump trails are.

So if 1200 feet is more than enough for the most popular section of a world class downhill

park, then 350 feet is enough to have a lot of fun on.

Especially if you live in central Texas.

For lift served downhill, residents of Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas used to to drive 12

hours to Anglefire, which is only open in the summer.

Some also travel to Arkansas, but to those in the know, there's always been plenty

to ride right here in Texas Hill Country.

Reveille Peak ranch is only 10 minutes from Spider Mountain, and has existed for quite

some time.

With great dirt, rugged terrain, and not too shabby scenery, Reveille Peak is as good an

option as Spider if you don't mind pedaling for it.

Locals have scratched everything from singletrack to jump lines into the hillside here, and

the land owners just ask for a waiver and 10 bucks to access all of it.

So it was no surprise to me that Hill Country already had a group of locals who could absolutely

shred.

Nobody is more excited than Jeremiah, who has spent years organizing races and trail

building initiatives in the area.

For him, Spider Mountain is a testament to how far Austin's mountain bike scene has

come, since the first XC lines were cut in hill country.

And Spider mountain brings to the area a lot more than just an easy trip to the top of

a big hill.

On park day you don't need to eat a light breakfast, bring a water bottle, or wear a

shammy.

You don't need to check your speed in consideration of other trail users.

You don't need to conserve energy.

You just do lap after lap until your bike breaks or your hands fall off.

Bike parks exist to satisfy our need for unadulterated exhilaration.

But there's also the social aspect of bike parks.

A chair lift is a great place for conversation, and when you get to the top everyone seems

to congregate before dropping in.

If you want to bond with your fellow downhill enthusiasts, the best way to do it is to run

a train together—on a trail.

This involves riding in recklessly close proximity while going as fast as you can.

It's a blast, but requires a high degree of confidence in the riders in front of you.

Although the trail options at Spider are currently limited I never got sick of this hand cut

intermediate route to the bottom.

In fact, as I learned the lines it only got better.

The advanced trails are mostly tech right now, with steep off camber sections following

the path of least resistance down the hill.

And if you're not careful, some of them will getcha.

Most of these runs were built for enduro races before the lift was in operation.

My friend Eric, from the YouTube channel no front brakes, has climbed this hill countless

times during such events, and has now completed more runs in one day than he has in his entire

life.

Scott and I regaled Eric with tales of our Whistler trip, like Scott's epic X up to

nosedive on the moonbooter.

While Spider doesn't yet have a moonbooter of its own, it does have some pretty sweet

jumps at the bottom, followed by a wide swooping flow trail which seems to have been cut to

build additional jumps on.

So at least for now, the Naysayers don't have a leg to stand on.

Spider had a very successful opening weekend, and as they build more trail, things can only

get better.

If this all works out I could see other warm cities building parks like in their hills.

I'm looking at you Atlanta.

As for Scott, things seem to be working out for him rather well.

Imagine you ride downhill for the first time in your life, and only months later they build

a bike park near your house.

Just from riding the trails around Austin, Scott had already met a lot of people at the

park that weekend, and it seems like now more than ever, he'll be getting a lot of use

out of his new bike.

Being that I'd travel to Austin just for the food, it's safe to say I'll be back

next winter to see how things have progressed.

To all the builders and riders in hill country, I'm really really happy for all of you.

Thanks for riding with me today, and I'll see you next time.

3 Ways to Raise Your Vibration to the 5th Dimension INSTANTLY - Duration: 16:22.

- In this video I'll be sharing with you three things

you must do to raise your vibration

to a fifth dimensional state of consciousness.

These are things that, if you do,

will change your entire life.

(bright music)

Welcome back to another video.

My name's Aaron and I help people

expand their consciousness.

Now in this video I'm gonna be sharing

with you those three things, that when you begin

to do in your life, will raise your vibration

to a new state of consciousness so that you can start

to exist in the new energy, not necessarily new energy,

but the energy that is here right now

that is available to us as we go

through this process of awakening.

Now you may be asking yourself, Aaron,

what is the fifth dimension and what does it mean

to raise your vibration to the fifth dimension?

Well, this has to do with understanding different

states of consciousness and not also misinterpreting it

because many times people misinterpret it.

I misinterpreted it long time ago, as well,

thinking that the fifth dimension is actually a place,

a place that's separate than where we are right now.

The truth is is that the fourth and fifth dimensional

states of consciousness are here right now

depending on which lens through which we see the world

and which state of consciousness we are embodying.

Now let's look at it like this.

This is one of the things that you must understand

in order to really raise your vibration

to that higher level and it's first off

that you are an immortal spiritual being

living a temporary human experience.

Now the reason that this is important to understand

is because when we identify with just the ego,

with just the avatar body that we quote unquote live in,

then we end up thinking and limiting ourselves

to this small little perspective that is just a fraction

of a percentage of who we really are.

We're really so much more than that.

But what happens is when we are born into this reality

we forget who we are.

We forget that we are unconditional love and bliss.

We forget that we are naturally at that high level

of consciousness but that we've descended

and forgotten who we because that's one

of the parts of this reality.

That's what makes this reality so beautiful

because when we raise or lower our vibration down

into a third D, 3D level of consciousness,

with the avatar body that we have, in order for us

to believe it's real one of the things we do

is we forget who we are.

It's through what's called a veil of forgetfulness.

So we forget who we are and then we go through certain

life experiences and we have in most of our societies

that of social conditioning which means

that we're constantly emphasized to be

in the stimulus-response,

to be in that of the senses, and because of that

we start to identify with what we perceive

through our senses.

Now, because of that, we forget our connection to source

through the social conditioning and one of the purposes

of life is for us to wake up to who we really are.

And as we wake up to who we really are we start

to gain more of our abilities back, higher dimensional

states of consciousness.

Wwe start to literally feel better,

we start to raise our vibration and everything changes.

And you here on the planet right now are here

to go through this ascension of vibration.

We're doing it collectively together.

And we are doing it in a way to where we do it here.

Back in the day when there was ascension you'd think

about the Mayans, you'd think of it

as different civilizations.

When they would ascend to higher levels of vibration

they would completely do it in body and many times

they would leave and go to a quote unquote different place.

However, what we are doing, what makes this so special now

is collectively we're all going through this

raising vibration, some at different rates than others.

And sometimes part of the process is seeing things come up

that are maybe negative because we can then clear it.

But nonetheless, we are raising our vibration

to where we are letting go of the old,

old structures are falling down because as we raise

our vibration and understand more and more of who we are

we're going to begin to exist in a completely new type

of reality and it's happening right now,

it has been happening and it will continue to happen.

So the fact that you are even into this content,

first off, is showing that you are on the leading edge

because there's a lot of people that are so completely

asleep to this they wouldn't even come across

a video that said something with a fifth dimension on it

and, if they did, they wouldn't even click on it

because it wouldn't resonate with them.

But the thing is is you are on the leading edge

and if you're watching this video you are also

a light worker which means that when you came here

one of the missions you had was to carry light

from higher dimensional states of consciousness here

to help awaken other people.

Doesn't mean that you have to broadcast this information,

you have to be on YouTube like me.

It just means that by you being and being in this vibration,

you raising your own vibration,

you affect everyone else around you.

And when it comes to this of raising our vibration

to this fifth dimensional state of consciousness

let's first off understand a little bit

more of what that is.

3D level of consciousness is duality.

Think of 3D like we're looking through our eyes.

We have left brain, right brain,

light, dark, up, down, the polarization.

In 3D there's also normally a lot of control

because there's this control of information.

There's this control of where the energy goes.

People are identified with their ego

so they want to control it.

It's identification with the avatar body.

Now a 4D level of reality is when we bring

into that a more flexibility.

3D's very solid, 4D becomes a little bit less solid,

becomes a little bit less fixed.

You can think of 4D as that of life becoming

more like a dream, time becoming a little bit more slippery.

You may have had times where time just flows by.

The fourth dimension is more about vibration.

The paradigm that we're moving into,

and we are beginning to ascend through,

is what manifestation, normally in 3D,

is massive, massive action, banging around

to get things done.

4D is more about vibrational resonance,

more about being here now, embodying the emotions

you want now, understanding that the more you

view your life as a dream, the more dream-like

your life will become.

That is 4D reality.

And in 4D reality there is still an option

of a perspective of duality, light, good,

good, bad, light, dark, you know what I mean.

There's still that option there.

5D level of reality is where we begin to exist more

in seeing people as connected to us.

It has to do with more understanding that we are

unconditional love and bliss.

What we put out comes back to us because what we do

to someone else we to another aspect of ourselves

so you wouldn't treat people any way

that you wouldn't treat yourself.

So it's about also being in the heart space,

being, thinking and doing is the three, 4D mentality.

Being in a higher state, being loved,

transcending intellectual thoughts,

that is the fifth dimension.

Fifth dimension's when our light bodies

are more activated.

It's when we literally start to take on more

of our true potential, more of our DNA

when we activate it.

It is more of who we really are.

We realize more of our multi-dimensionality,

that we exist at many different levels at the same time.

So these perspectives and these feelings as vibrations

of 5D reality is an option we can see right now.

4D reality's an option we can see right now.

3D reality's an option we can see right now.

It'll be different rates of vibration depending

on different people on the planet.

Now the first thing you must do in order to raise

your vibration to a fifth dimensional state

of consciousness is you must take responsibility

for your life.

This'll sound harsh to some people.

They'll be like Aaron I've been doing so much.

How can I take responsibility for the child abuse

that I went through?

For these very negative experiences that I have

how can I take responsibility for that?

Well the key is not taking responsibility for what happened.

The key is to take responsibility

for how you responded to what happened.

Remember, the most important thing is your state of being,

not what actually happened.

And I've been through that, I've been through pain

growing up, I've been through it,

had an abusive ex-stepmom in my life,

had complete control to where I wasn't allowed

to do anything.

I know what it's like but I also took responsibility

for how I responded to that and I integrated

those emotions and by integrating those emotions

I released the patterns to where they're

no longer in my life because for a long time

I carried around the pattern of my ex-stepmom,

of that control, that blame

and I would attract similar experiences.

I had managers, even years after I never have

to see her again, managers that had the same

personality traits, ex-girlfriends that had similar

personality traits.

Until I dealt with it and I integrated it

they remained patterns in my life.

All of a sudden, I deal with it, those leave my life

and I don't have to deal with it ever again

and I raise my vibration and that pain from my past

led me to my spiritual awakening in 2012.

And the most painful things you've been through

may be the most beautiful things that wake you up

to being an immortal spiritual being

living a temporary human experience but you must

take responsibility for it.

Also, many people, they just don't take responsibility

for the thoughts and the emotion and the direction

of the thoughts they have.

When you start to put your thoughts more

in the direction of what you want to experience,

the understanding that you create your own reality,

then what happens is things in your life begin to change

because then you're giving it direction.

Most people live in the auto-pilot mind.

So the key to this is being aware of it.

The other thing you want to do is neutralize the past.

See it, not as bad or good, but it just simply is.

Observe your thoughts.

When you do this you begin to disengage

from that of the 3D reality.

It no longer has power over you.

You must first off neutralize it in order

to move beyond it.

Now the second thing that you must do in order

to raise your vibration to a fifth dimensional

state of consciousness is you must understand

that your beliefs are creating your reality,

whatever you believe to be true.

Do you believe the world is good?

Do you believe the world is bad?

Do you believe that things come to you easily?

Do you believe that you have to work hard for it?

Do you believe that there are loving people in your life?

What do you believe about reality?

Whatever you believe to be true is going

to be reflected back to you.

When you become aware of your beliefs you can then change

from the inside out because all the outer reflection

is in our life, everything in our life on the outside

is just a reflection of the inside.

So the more that you take accountability for it

and the more that you become aware of what you believe

to be true is the more that you're gonna

be able to transcend 3D paradigms

because in your definitions itself you will find those

beliefs and many times those beliefs are tied

to the 3D reality.

Oh, this is the way reality is, reality is bad.

Things get worse with age.

All of these beliefs they're social conditioning.

They're not who you are, they're on the auto-pilot mind.

Become aware of these beliefs,

become aware of your definitions,

become aware of the language you use

and then see everything in your life as a choice

because as you do that you start to gain your power back.

Understand that this is more of a 4D perspective

'cause in the fourth dimension it's about understanding

that everything is a reflection.

It's all about vibrational resonance.

What do you believe to be true because your reality

will always be a reflection of what you believe to be true.

It'll be equal to that.

So become aware of it then you begin

to change your reality.

You then start to live more in the dream world

than the illusory dream world,

the one that we identify with as our avatar

because it's solid, we can make noises

with our hands and stuff (chuckles).

So when we look at someone like Einstein

he calibrated on that scale of consciousness

that I always share at about a 499.

On a scale of zero to 1,000, 400 to 500 is a level

of vibration of the intellect, beliefs created

out of reality.

Think of it as fourth dimensional state of consciousness

which is ironic because it's the 400s.

Einstein himself calibrated at 499.

In order for him to get to 500, which is love,

he would have had to let go of all the intellectual ideas.

That's why the third thing you must do in order

to get into the fifth dimension, in order

to raise your vibration to the fifth dimension,

is to let go of all the intellectual ideas,

all the beliefs that we just worked on

in the fourth dimension, understand it as simply a choice

but let it go and just be in the present moment right now.

Be, shift out of thinking and doing and into being.

Be in your heart center.

Experience reality for yourself because the more

you are here now the more that you begin to experience

more of what you want because more of your energy

is coming through.

That is the key.

It's being in the present moment right now.

So when we start to see this we could see

that the more we raise our vibration, as well,

the more divine we will acknowledge within ourselves.

We are all divine beings.

A piece of the puzzle that we call source energy

that we call God, whatever label we wanna give it,

we are all divine.

When you look at enlightened people of the past

or enlightened people now that can do magical things,

read the book Autobiography of a Yogi,

you'll see someone who was enlightened

that had gurus in India that could do things

that you literally think are impossible,

things like levitate, teleport,

plant ideas in people's minds.

But the only reason these enlightened people can do

that is because they do it from a divine will,

from understanding that they are a piece

of source energy and that so is everyone else

when they embody that.

We can embody it too.

The more we embody the divine part of how we are

the more we will raise our vibration

into these higher states.

You are divine.

That is who you are.

The more you recognize your divinity and the divinity

in other people the more your vibration'll begin to raise.

We came here to understand, to realize

and to embody our divine light.

Begin to understand that that is who you are.

You come from higher states of consciousness,

of unconditional love and peace, higher vibrational states,

light bodies that were much less physical than this

but we've come here to experience this and we are going

to continue to raise our vibration.

So these are the three things that you must do

in order to raise your vibration.

Take responsibility for where you are.

Choose to put your thoughts in a more powerful direction.

Become aware of the beliefs you have.

Your beliefs create your reality.

And then simply be in the present moment,

exist in your heart space and watch your life

begin to change.

One of the most powerful meditations I have

is for raising your vibrational set point

so that you start to exist in these higher

states of consciousness.

Sewing How-to | Shoelace Tying Helper for Kids | Whitney Sews - Duration: 4:07.

hi everyone I'm Whitney and I post a new tutorial every week to help sewers of

all skill levels learn new projects and techniques and as a frugal homeschooling

mom I am always trying to figure out a way to make things that we are going to

need for upcoming lessons and things that my kids need to learn how to do and

of course one skill that every kid has to learn is how to tie their own shoes

so today I'm going to show you how to make these cute little practice shoes so

it is easy for kids to learn how to tie their own shoes for this project you

will need two different colors of felt a piece of heavy weight interfacing some

3/8 inch ribbon and a 36 inch shoelace start by creating your pattern in a

basic shoe shape I will have all the exact measurements that I use to make my

pattern over on my website and the direct link to that post is in this

video description stack one piece of felt directly on top of the other pin

the pattern on top of the stack and cut around the outside of the pattern

through both layers

you should have two identical pieces decide which color will be the shoe top

and trace and cut the ankle opening out you can skip this step if you want but I

feel like it helps it look more like a real shoe then mark out eight slits for

the shoelaces I tried this with an x-acto knife as well as marking with a

pen and then cutting with scissors and the scissors definitely worked better

the last piece of the shoe is the inside layer and you want to cut that from a

heavy stabilizer I'm using the pellon 65 extra heavy stabilizer and I'll make

sure to leave a link to it down below this will make sure that the shoe holds

up better over time you want this piece to be cut a little

smaller than the other ones so that it won't show on the outer edges lay the

pieces in order with the bottom the insert and then the top sew around the

entire outer edge as well as the ankle opening to attach all the layers I used

about 1/8 inch seam allowance

then cut 8 pieces of ribbon 2 inches in length fold a piece in half so the

pretty sides are on the outside

insert the ribbon in one of the slits cut earlier so the raw edges are going

toward the side of the shoe repeat with the other four slits on one side making

sure the loops are sticking out an even amount so about 1/8 inch away from the

slits to secure the ribbon loops in place repeat with the 4 ribbon loops on

the other side

I went ahead and made two so my kids won't fight over them all that left is

to insert the shoelace and your kids are ready to learn how to tie their shoes if

you like this project and want to see more like it make sure to check out the

playlist that I have linked right over here to the side and also don't forget

to subscribe by clicking my picture right down there

so that you don't miss out on all of my upcoming tutorials and until next time

happy sewing

Here's What a BMW Looks Like After 320,000 Miles - Duration: 8:28.

welcome to wacky Wednesday's where everyone has a chance to show off their

car mods, and here's this week's winner hey youtube

hey scotty fans my name is philip this is my 1999 BMW 323is, it's got 321,000 miles

and I've had it for almost five years, I'm gonna show you the

pros and cons of living with the 20 year old German car,

I'm gonna go through the history and also some of the maintenance that I've

done on this car, and naturally I've got plenty of quirks and features to

show you, so the e36 had a production year from 1992 to 1999, this particular

one is the last year, so you see tons of these driving around in California

especially, people love them as daily drivers, however where they've got the

most recent attention is in the recreational activity known as drifting

these cars are no stranger to motorsports, they have a rich history and

DTM with the German Touring Car Championship, got near 50/50 weight

distribution fully independent rear suspension, so unfortunately we can't

include any clips of DTM cars in action due to copyright issues, but here's a photo of

our friend's car which is actually a DTM replica built from the

ground up, we've got rear seats you can actually use, it's more well balanced

you've got better suspension geometry a better setup which works better in motorsports

and drifting, now this video wasn't meant to be a 240 road

session, but take that as you will I just want to tell you how great this model

was, it was featured in car and drivers best 10 cars every year it was produced, the

car has taking me from point A to point B year after

year reliably, but of course there have been some things that need to replace

none of which have actually left me stranded on the side of the road

thankfully, most recently this summer I actually did the head gasket on this

vehicle, a shop would have quoted me about 4 grand to do the job, with my

friend here the cameraman he helped me out, parts and labor only were

about $350, labor was free of course, but all the gaskets and associate parts that

were replaced ran us about that much, and took us about two weeks to complete the

job, cylinder head had to come off of course, intake manifold and the nest of

vacuum hoses basically, most of the engine minus the block had to come out got

got the infamous BMW cooling system which is

perhaps the worst thing about these cars they're all made of plastic it gets

brittle with age, and they are prone to dozens of leaks if not addressed

prematurely, for me I've already been through two water pumps, you can make a

joke there if you like, if you're willing to do the

DIY maintenance on these cars you'll save a ton of money, I would never really

recommend that anyone buy a German car if they're not doing the work themselves

unless they've got deep pockets and they can pay someone to do the work

but the best part about owning this is just doing the work yourself, there's so

much you can learn about cars that you know you wouldn't be able to learn from

buying a newer Corolla, not enough things would

go wrong for you to learn about how to work on cars, that pretty much covers the

stuff in the engine bay that I've done I've also replaced the driveshaft

because the u-joint was actually bad when I bought the car, it remained

undiagnosed and untreated for several years and I had the nastiest clunking

coming from there whenever I accelerated yeah it's amazing it didn't grenade the

transmission or the differential but honestly these cars can take quite a

beating, despite what people say, maybe that's also why they're so well liked

for drifters, you know whether you put them into a wall or you blow the engine,

they're like Legos you know, you slap on new body panels, new engine parts, now

that we've covered some of the big-ticket items we'll do a walk-around of

the car and I'll show you some of the things I've

done to it, other than those things I've replaced it's really just been basic

maintenance throughout the years and some cosmetic items, it's wearing the m3 contours

17-inch HTR z 3 tire in the front, and we got federal

SS 595 s in the back seventeen inch, it's a square set up seventeen

by seven and a half, you can see here got the lovely trim piece missing because we

all know how great German plastics are, exhuast is stock,

the trunk in here pretty spacious, got to finish it off with some nice

pink emblems, started off as more of a joke but now I just run them on the whole car

coz I think it's funny and you know maybe some guys will leave me a love

note after they see the pink emblems thinking you know, a chick that's into cars

is driving this, well they're in for a surprise, the car has 321,000 miles,

obviously it's not gonna drive like a car that has 90,000, what's important is

that the power train is still in one piece it gets me to my destination

everyday reliably, this model it's got a pretty Spartan interior, luxury cars back

then are certainly not what they what they are today, the seats are leather

they're nice, well padded, it's got manual adjustments for the seats,

it's got vinyl door cards and speakers that are okay, obviously they don't even

compare to the speakers in a lot of economy cars today, but it's still good

enough for you to listen to your music let me just leave you with a couple of

tips for longevity for any car but particularly older German car, the thing is

you need to drive them, there's definitely a divide between the purists

who do everything by the book and would rather see the car low mileage and cared

for, then seeing a beat to hell example that gets driven every day and gets used

for its intended purpose, these cars were meant to be driven, and I think that's

really the best way you can care for them, just drive them, do the routine

maintenance, change out the fluids, that's the one way you'll get these cars to

300k miles plus, it's really not that difficult for them to reach these types

of mileage, just obviously there's Achilles heels in every type of car, but

addressing those and preferably addressing those yourself, will save you

both a lot of money and a lot of headaches, thanks for watching and thanks

Scotty for featuring me on your channel well that was this week's video and to

have your car mod shown on my channel here check this out,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to

ring that Bell!

Here's Why Kate Middleton did NOT spend Valentine's Day with Prince William - Duration: 4:11.

KATE Middleton has been married to Prince William since 2011 – but, since then, the

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have spent Valentine's Day apart on at least one occasion as the

royal couple's calendar becomes increasingly busy.

Kate Middleton and Prince William have spent nearly eight years happily married together

since their royal wedding at Westminster Abbey was watched by millions around the world.

The proud parents of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have a busy family

life to juggle with their dedication to royal duties.

In the recent past, both Kate and William have taken on more and more engagements as

the Queen and Prince Philip have continued to age.

In 2016, the Duchess of Cambridge took the reins as Royal Patron and Honorary Air Commandant

of the Air Cadet Organisation, after the Duke of Edinburgh stepped away from the position.

Proving her dedication to royal duties, Kate decided to spend Valentine's Day separated

from her significant other in 2017, in order to meet air cadets at the Cambridgeshire RAF

base.

During the visit, the Duchess was given privileged access to a tutor plane in which generations

of RAF Air Cadets have had their first experience of flying.

Wearing a £760 red blazer by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini and black skinny jeans, she

climbed confidently into the aircraft instead of spending the romantic day with her husband.

It is not clear how the two will spend the romantic holiday this year but the couple

showed the world how the royals do a date night when they hit the red carpet at the

2019 British Academy Film Awards at Royal Albert Hall.

Kate dazzled in a one-shoulder white Alexander McQueen gown with floral detail.

More pressure for this Valentine's Day seems to be on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who

are to celebrate their first as a married couple.

Kensington Palace announced Harry will spend February 14 on a visit to the Arctic Circle,

meeting Royal Marines learning to survive the extreme cold as part of the Exercise Clockwork

winter training.

However, royal commentator Loni Love suggested the Duchess of Sussex could still be treated

to a surprise on the most romantic day of the year.

The Real Talk host said: "Kensington Palace has announced Prince Harry has an event on

February 14 that will take him out of the country entirely.

"He is the Captain-General of the Royal Marines for the UK.

"He will have to leave on February 14 to head 200 miles south of the Arctic circle.

He has to oversee the training of the Royal Marines.

The good thing is that is just during the day."

Ms Love suggested Prince Harry could decide to board a plane at the end of the training

session to spend Valentine's Day evening with Meghan.

THE younger generation of the Royal Family have a shared WhatsApp group so they can keep

up with date with each other's busy lives while carrying out their public engagements.

But the public will rarely see royals such as Meghan Markle and Kate checking their messages

on their mobiles phones while they are at formal events.

The Fab Four, otherwise known as Meghan, Prince Harry, Kate and Prince William, have been

only pictured with their phones during their free time.

Royal etiquette expert Myka Meier revealed the Royal Family do not want to seem unprofessional

by being caught on their mobile phones.

She said to Thrive Global: "Just like most high-ranking professional would do in a formal

business environment, the royals leave their phones in a pocket or handbag."

Meghan hinted there may be another reason she doesn't check her phone often during

her royal tour around Australia last October.

Meghan deleted her Instagram and Twitter accounts before she officially joined the Royal Family

as Prince Harry's wife.

But her half-sister Samantha Markle has used Twitter to vent her frustrations at her estranged

relative.

Samantha responded to the Duchess of Sussex's claims she "hardly knows" her in leaked

snippets of a letter written to their father Thomas shortly after her wedding last May.

Game of Thrones Went On for Too Long and Here's Why - Duration: 7:42.

Hey.

This is.

One Dodgy Dude.

And I gotta tell you something.

I don't really enjoy complaining, I don't; ask my friends if you don't believe me.

But lately…lately something's been nagging at my mind.

Game of Thrones winds down in 2019 and every one's all "who's gonna sit on the Iron

Throne?" or "who's gonna buy it this season?"

yet no one's asking the most important question.

"Did Game of Thrones really need to last 8 seasons?"

I'm just asking you to consider that maybe, just maybe, too much of a good thing can be

bad.

To make my case, I drew comparisons between Game of Thrones and two other stories in the

fantasy genre.

A video game and a book series you might have heard of.

All 3 stories share a simple premise: Almost everyone ignores the biggest threat

to the world until it's too late to stop it easily.

On Game of Thrones that's the White Walkers.

They raise an army of dead people, while everybody else is distracted either making more dead

people, or making little people (that will also be dead).

So eventually the Walkers lumber into Westeros like they own the place.

In Warcraft III, there's a demonic army called the Burning Legion.

Kings and wise men receive warnings about the Legion's impending return, but they

couldn't care less.

So, eventually, the demons return and lay waste to everything in sight.

In Harry Potter, the threat comes from Lord Voldemort.

Although the dark wizard is at large and probably staging a comeback, the powers-that-be don't

put much effort into tracking him down.

So, of course, he returns and tries to take over the world.

These 3 set-ups are not identical, granted, but they're similar enough for a fair comparison.

And on that note.

Exhibit B.

For this one, let's answer a question: At what point in each story do the bad guys

become powerful enough to endanger the world directly?

Warcraft III is split into 34 chapters.

The Burning Legion invades at the end of chapter 8 of the Undead campaign, aka chapter 19 of

the overall story.

At this point the game has gone through 56% of the story.

A decent number.

Enough time to set things up, and plenty of time left for the heroes and the bad guys

to fight it out.

Harry Potter is made up of 199 chapters spread out across 7 novels.

Lord Voldemort recovers his powers in chapter 89 of the saga.

That comes to 45% of the story.

Again, enough time to set the stage, and plenty of time left to exploit the premise of Voldemort's

return.

Game of Thrones is expected to have 73 episodes by the time it's over.

The White Walkers don't become a direct threat to Westeros until episode 67.

Which comes to--

But…but the show's practically over by then!

Why wait so long?

Was that really necessary?

Well, one way to find out.

Let's answer this question: do the major storylines build up to the main

premise?

For the first half of Warcraft III the story focuses on a plague that's ravaging the

human kingdoms, and the Undead army responsible for spreading it.

We see everything unfold from both the human and Undead perspectives.

At some point we discover that the Undead are weakening the humans to pave the way for

the Legion's invasion.

So the early storylines end up being crucial to the premise.

In Harry Potter, we first see Voldemort trying to acquire a magical item that can restore

his body.

In the second book, part of Voldemort's spirit is discovered inside a diary, which

is a set-up for how he will ultimately die.

And the third book ends with the escape of the man who helps Voldemort recover his powers

in Book IV.

Warcraft III and Harry Potter make good use of their storylines to build up to the main

premise without getting distracted.

Hmm, I wonder how Game of Thrones handled this?

Well, we have Dany's time in Meereen, learning about politics, diplomacy, the evils of slavery,

because all that might come in handy when fighting the Walkers.

Or, maybe not.

But she can use her hard-earned political skills to gain allies in Westeros.

Or not, that's acceptable, as well.

Dorne and the Sand Snakes.

And Ellaria--yeah, I can't even joke this is important.

Get out.

Shoo, shoo.

Ah, the Tyrells conspiring to get power.

And the High Sparrow with religious fanatics, how are they gonna factor into the fight against

the White Wal--?

Oh yeah, they don't.

Arya in Braavos.

Who told HBO we needed a two-season-long training sequence?

Or a crossover between Saw and The Passion of the Christ that went on for an entire season?

I guess I should mention the Boltons, Littlefinger's scheming, and Stannis.

We can't leave them out.

Not when their contributions to the premise were so significa--

Ok, what's going on with the White Walkers while all this is happening?

Every time we see them all they do is attack people because that's what they do.

There's no master plan beyond getting more dead bodies, I guess.

It's always the same formula; the writers just dial it up a bit more every time to

keep it from getting boring.

White Walkers attack, make an impression on their enemies, and then do nothing else for

2 more seasons.

Why doesn't the biggest threat to Westeros get more to do?

Why make them the centerpiece of the show's opening scene only to push them to the sidelines

for nearly 90% of the series' run? All the stuff I mentioned before, I'm not

claiming it's bad or boring; it's neither.

But it feels more and more like padding that draws out a story that didn't need to be

so long.

A story that doesn't have enough to say in order to justify these many diversions

from the main premise.

Now, I do wanna be fair and point out that there have been relevant plot lines.

The wildlings' move from north to south is directly tied to the White Walkers' existence.

And there's hope Bran's drawn-out quest to become a Greenseer will have some bearing

on the final showdown with the Walkers.

But that won't get rid of the excess fat.

Will that be part of the show's legacy?

To teach writers they don't need to trim the fat in their stories?

I hope not.

Like it or not, Game of Thrones is gonna be one of the most popular sagas of the 21st

century.

This is a very good story, but far from perfect.

And if it's gonna influence media and writers for years to come, we should make an effort

to tell the good from the average, and the average from the downright atrocious.

We should fully understand what worked and what didn't.

But who would be foolish or brave enough to go through ALL the episodes of Game of Thrones,

season by season?

It would have to be someone with an overblown feeling of self-importance.

Someone in desperate need to justify to himself the many hours squandered consuming pop culture.

Maybe he's out there.

Biding his time.

Waiting for the right moment to give us a detailed story analysis of Game of Thrones.

You do know I'm talking about myself, right?

Cause maybe I wasn't clear enough and--

Here are the Hudson County priests named on sexual abuse list nj.com

By Patrick Villanova | The Jersey Journal and Ron Zeitlinger | The Jersey Journal

When the and deacons who have been credibly accused of sexually abusing minors, dozens of former priests who spent time in Hudson County were named.

— nearly half of whom had never been publicly accused of abusing minor — appear on the list.

Here are 42 men:

Jorge Batista: Ordained 1983; St. Paul of the Cross Jersey City , St. Nicholas Jersey City , St. Augustine Union City , St. Anthony of Padua Union City , and St. Joseph of the Palisades West New York ; the archdiocese said there is one credible accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against the now deceased priest.

John X. Bergeur: Ordained 1945; St. Anthony East Newark ; the archdiocese said there is one credible accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against the priest, who has since died.

John C. Bouton: Ordained 1949; Immaculate Conception Secaucus ; the archdiocese said there is one credible accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against the now deceased priest.

Michael Campanlonga: Ordained 1962; Stevens Institute of Technology, Holy Rosary Academy Union City ; two brothers alleged that Campanlonga sexually assaulted them between 1967 and 1968 while he served as an assistant pastor at St. Anthonys Church in Northvale. He was permanently removed from ministry in 1993 and later moved to Florida.

John Capparelli: Ordained 1980; Our Lady of Fatima North Bergen ; accused of groping teenage boys and photographing them in compromising positions. He was permanently removed from ministry and stripped of his standing as clergy.

James A. Carey: Ordained 1936; Christ the King Jersey City and St. Michael Jersey City ; the archdiocese said there is one credible accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against the priest, who has since died.

Robert Chabak: Ordained 1972; Ss. Peter and Paul Hoboken ; the archdiocese said there are multiple credible accusations of sexual abuse of minors against the priest, who was removed from ministry in 2004. He was accused of abusing a teenager for three years beginning shortly after his ordination.

Peter Cheplic: Ordained 1972; St. Henry Bayonne , St. Lawrence Weehawken , St. Aloysius Jersey City ; accused of drugging and molesting four teenage boys in the 1970s and 1980s, and removed from ministry in 2006. He has denied the allegations.

Dennis Cocozza: Ordained 1975; St. Henry Bayonne ; was removed from the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park in April 2002 after he was accused of misconduct. The archdiocese said Cocozza, who is no longer alive, has one credible accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against him.

Absalom Coutinho: Ordained 1972; St. Nicholas Jersey City ; at least two people accused Coutinho of molesting them, as far back as 1977, according to the Sarasota Herald Tribune. He has been permanently removed from ministry.

Arturo Crespo: Ordained 1994; St. Bridget Church Jersey City ; the archdiocese said there is one credible accusation of sexual abuse of a minor against Crespo, who has since been removed from ministry.

Joseph DiPeri: Ordained 1956; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Jersey City ; the now deceased priest was removed from ministry in New Jersey in 2003 after the archdiocese learned he had been credibly accused of molesting a teenage boy in the 1970s at Chaminade College Preparatory High School in California.
