2018: What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been [CC] - Duration: 12:00.
Hello, old friend. Long time no see! Hey everybody, it's Anna,
and welcome back to my booktube channel. You might notice that I am in a
different location than I usually am. That is because it is a 100 percent
chance of rain right now in Seattle, and the clouds are totally blocking out the
natural light that I usually use to film, so I'm filming in the
office/bookshelf/game room. You can see the brand new bookshelves that my
husband and I just built. But yeah, I just wanted to check in with you guys before
the end of the year- say hello, welcome myself back to my own channel. I've been
a little bit absent between planning my wedding and having Hanukkah, Christmas,
Thanksgiving, husband's birthday... a bunch of major holiday celebration event-type
things going on. But yeah, I am back I am back to making
videos, and I just wanted to check in with you guys a little bit before the
end of the year. Wow, I am really out of practice! I feel so uncomfortable and
weird right now, sitting in front of a camera and just
talking. It'll take me some time to get used to this again, I think, but anyway, I
wanted to share a couple books that I got for various holidays.
I think all of these were actually Christmas gifts; we celebrate a lot of winter
holidays in my family, but I think all of these were gifted to me for
Christmas. Before we get into that, I wanted to give a little bit
of explanation, I guess, since some of you might be following me to this
channel from Twitter, where I am a lot more active and vocal in my love
for Dungeons and Dragons, RPGs, tabletop games, and stuff like that. I wanted
to incorporate a little bit more of my love for games into this channel as we
go forward, partially because it is related to books, since a lot of RPGs and
stuff like that are based off of science fiction and fantasy tropes or existing
structures from sci-fi and fantasy novels-- there are a lot of
RPGs that are actually based off of worlds like the Lord of the Rings, Game
of Thrones, etc-- but also just because that's an
interest and a passion that is really taking up a pretty significant
chunk of my time now, whether it's playing games,
RPGs, whether it's cosplay, whether it's going to conventions, different things
like that. So I just wanted to say hello if you followed me here because of all
of my Dungeons & Dragons tweets! I hope that you'll stick around and don't
find this to be too off-putting. Beginning with that then, I have a couple
of books that I was gifted for Christmas. One of those was "Waterdeep: Dungeon of
the Mad Mage," which is a D&D adventure for high level characters. This one I got
from Buddha, a Secret Santa that I matched up with online, so thank you so
much for that if by some slim chance you're watching this! And then from my
husband, I was also gifted "Pugmire" core rulebook,
which is an open gaming license D&D 5th edition book.
That allows you to play as a canine adventurer, and it's super fantastic.
I actually read through the entirety of this yesterday while I was just sitting
in a coffee shop. It lets you create a dog that's an adventurer character, and
you can go through all of these different types of classes similar to
Dungeons & Dragons, but adapted a little bit to fit the particular skill
sets and personalities of different dogs. I'm really impressed with what they
managed to do in such a relatively short book in terms of building the
mythology and the politics of the world of Pugmire, and I really cannot wait to
DM the game because I think it's going to be absolutely great.
Then from my extended family Secret Santa, one of my aunts got me "Becoming" by
Michelle Obama, which was one of the three books that I had specifically
requested to receive for Christmas. I have already started reading
this. I think it's really great. I'm enjoying it a lot so far, and I'm sure I
will have more fully formulated opinions after I've gotten further than this
amount into the book.
And then from two of our friends, I was gifted this book "Designs for the
Pluribus: Radical Interdependence Autonomy in the Making of Worlds" by
Arturo Escobar. This is the kind of book that, while I don't miss being in
graduate school and being in a ph.d program, I really do miss getting to sit
down and read this type of book. I'm just really happy that now I get to do it on
my own time, and I don't have to write any really long papers about it.
That would be a little bit more tedious than enjoyable. So those are all of the books
that I got for Christmas, winter holidays, etc. I usually don't receive too many
books as gifts either for Christmas or birthday or any other gift-giving
opportunity, mostly because people know how much I read, and they are like, well I
don't want to get you a book that you already have or that you've already read!
I can't blame them. I mean, I'm gonna post my end of year/best books of
2018 a little bit later, probably after we pass New Year's, but I read
186 books this year so far. I'm still probably going to finish a few
more before 2018 is fully over, so I totally understand why people don't want
to get me books as gifts. That's fine-- I am more than happy with these ones that
I have! And then I wanted to talk a little bit about some plans that I have
for the booktube channel in 2019. First of all, I wanted to thank all of you that
have stuck with me this far, that have been watching my consistent and then
somewhat inconsistent uploads with this channel throughout the year. There's now
138 of you subscribed to the channel at the time that I'm making this video-- wow!
That's really incredible! I did not ever think that this many people would care
what I had to say about books, especially because I don't really feel like I stand
out that differently from people that are already doing this on the internet.
I'm still trying to figure out what it is that really makes me *me*
online, if that makes sense. I'm really trying to figure out my my voice and
my position when it comes to making these type of videos, so thank you to all
of the people that have joined this little community, whether you've been
here since I first started uploading, or whether you just joined, or whether you
found this channel by accident and now you want to stay for some reason-- thanks a lot!
So I guess without any further ado I'll
go ahead and talk about some of my goals for the channel for 2019. I would like to
keep my uploads very consistent. I set myself a goal when I started the channel
that I wanted to make four videos a month, and I just checked: I made 50
videos--It'll be 51 after I make this one-- this entire year. However, a bunch of
those were actually spread out. I think there's a few videos where there's
a month gap or a two month gap between videos, and while some of that is
unavoidable just because life happens, and I have multiple jobs outside of this,
and other things going on, I would like to set myself a challenge to be more
consistent with uploading. Second thing that I would like to do with this
channel is more readathons. I really enjoyed the readathons that I did this
past year. I love the Tome Topple read-a-thon so much. It is my favorite
read-a-thon. I wasn't able to do it this year because it was happening right when
I was getting married, so I did not have time, but I would like to do that.
I know I'd like to do the Read Yo' Shelves read-a-thon that Kathy Trithardt and...
I'm forgetting [the co-host's] name, but I'll post it in the description, are hosting at the
beginning of 2019. I know I'd like to do the Queer Lit read-a-thon when it
comes back in the new year. That's hosted by Kathy and Rogan; I will link them as
well down in the description. I think I'd like to just participate in
other readathons as I'm able to and as I find out about them. Another thing that
is a little bit more experimental for the channel is that I
might like to start making some videos about storytelling via games, especially
with a lot of the conventions that I attended this year, a lot of the panels
I went to discussed storytelling via games as being a really important
component of playing games. I think that there's more to be explored on this
topic that I would like to dive into, so I was thinking about making some
more chat videos that are specific to that topic, just so I can keep
them separate and more focused from the stuff that is more book related.
Is that anything that you guys would even be interested in watching? I'll probably
still make them because I want to, but I'm curious just to see how much
interest is out there for something like that. The next goal is
something that's pretty much entirely on my end: I'd like to make some technical
improvements to the channe. l I'd like to get better editing software. Right now
I'm just using what comes with YouTube. I'd like to invest in some quality
lighting so that I'm a little bit less dependent on the great outdoors, fickle
as it is six months out of the year here, and that way I don't have this weird
ghostly light in the ceiling casting strange shadows on me when I
have to film not in natural light. That's a little bit more on my end, but
I'm giving myself a year to figure out what I'm gonna do about those things.
The last goal that I have for the channel is that I would like to post a
few vlogs this year. I think I posted I posted one vlog in 2018. I had a second
one filmed, and then some disaster happened to the files and it wasn't
actually able to be recovered in order to be uploaded, so that was kind of sad.
But I would like to make a few vlogs of different fun things that I do
throughout the year. I'd like to make some readathon vlogs, maybe vlog a couple
conventions that I have coming up. That way you guys would get to see a little
bit more of that storytelling via games, cosplay, RPGs,
stuff like that that I'm interested in related to books
and geekiness, but outside of. I don't have any specific bookish events
that I can vlog coming up right now. I might see about getting permission to do
that from the event organizers, so we will see if I am able to do that.
Is that something you guys would be interested in watching? I'm pretty
interested in filming vlogs just because the last time I did that I had a super
fun time with it. I had fun playing around with music. I had fun filming
outdoors, trying different things out with different cameras:
the one that I use here or the camera on my phone.
It was just interesting to do something different. I enjoyed that aspect of it.
Is that something that you guys are interested in at all, or is nobody
gonna watch those? Let me know in the comments because I would really like to
have your input on that. So as always, thank you all so much for watching, thank
you for sticking with me through the craziness of the year that has been 2018,
and I will see you in the next one in 2019. Bye!

What is A/B Testing? | Data Science in Minutes - Duration: 3:43.
Hi and welcome to this quick introduction to A/B testing. So what is A/B testing?
At a high level, A/B Testing is a statistical way of comparing two or more versions,
such as Version A or Version B.
to determine not only which version performs better
but also to understand if a difference between two versions is statistically significant.
So why do businesses conduct A/B tests?
This is the way businesses are run these days and they have to take a data-driven approach.
A common dilemma that companies face is that they think they understand
the customer, but in reality customers would behave much differently than you
would think consciously or subconsciously. Users don't often even
know why they make the choices they make, they just do. But when running an
experiment or an A/B test, you might find out otherwise and the results can often
be very humbling and customers can behave much differently than you would
think so it's best to conduct tests rather than relying on intuition.
So let's visualize. For example, in marketing, or a web design, you might be comparing
two different landing pages with each other or two different newsletters let's
say you take the layout of the page you move the content body to the right now
versus the left or maybe you change the call-to-action from green to blue or
or your newsletter subject line has the word "promotion" in Version A and the word
"free" in Version B in order for A/B testing to work, you must call out your
criteria for success before you begin your test. What is your hypothesis or
rather what do you think will happen by changing to Version B. Maybe you're
hoping to increase conversion rate or newsletter signups or increase opens
call out your criteria for success ahead of time. Also, you will want to make sure
that you split your traffic into two it doesn't have to be 50/50 but you will
want to figure out what is the minimum number of people I need to run my A/B test
on to achieve statistically significant results you can do this with
multiple versions such as two buttons that are blue and two that are orange
one blue and one orange button say RSVP and another blue and orange button say
sign up this would be called a multivariate test or a
full factorial test since you are comparing different factors. So what are
some factors we can test on when conducting an A/B test? Changing the
layout of the page and shifting where certain items are such as moving the
content body to the right, the navigation to the left, or the call to action near
the bottom you can change the call to action such as changing the color or the
text or where the call-to-action is located on a landing page or email.
You can compare two different images with each other to see if one has a higher
conversion rate or a higher click-through rate. And what about on the
back-end suppose the UX and the UI is the same but you update your
machine learning algorithm to update the recommendations that are shown to people
but what happens if something is broken or funky or the data is messy and the
quality is off or there's too much noise maybe there's a sampling problem and you
don't randomize correctly it could be a one to two percent impact but you should
make sure that your A/B test is being conducted properly first by setting up
an A/A test. Thanks for watching, give us a like if you found this useful or you
can check out our other videos at Data Science Dojo tutorials.

What makes Rewind 2018 the most disliked video yet - Duration: 13:32.
Ay, it's Will Smith!
Our no. 1 and beloved YouTuber on the platform.
What could go wrong?
"Fortnite and Marques Brownlee"
Oh, so that's why.
YouTube wraps up all the highlights that happened each year with Rewind, and it's considered
as the biggest celebration on the platform year-ends.
Its first Rewind was in 2010 and 2012 marked the year where they increased the production
budget to create what it is known today.
But why is 2018's Rewind such a mess?
To answer that, we have to look at how YouTube evolves with its content creators.
YouTube was officially launched in 2005, created by Jawed Karim, Steve Chen and Chad Hurley,
a website where everyone can share their videos with anyone easily.
Google, one of the major tech companies in the world, acquired YouTube in October 2006.
During this period, we've seen some of the classic memes and viral videos which defined
YouTube in the 2000s.
The birth of viral videos has opened the doors to other viral videos, one after another,
and it is indeed a platform where anyone can be a star.
On May 2007, YouTube started to pay content creators with its own monetization program,
and YouTubers can now earn money by recording and uploading videos on the platform.
Ads now began to roll after the program started.
And this is where YouTube saw a bigger change.
The late 2000s saw some of the first content creators, or the OG YouTubers, with millions
of subscribers.
Ryan Higga, Shane Dawson, Fred, and Smosh were among the most subscribed YouTube channels
during this time.
Also, in this era, higher production value, HQ videos and better video editing started
to become a norm for YouTube videos, and YouTubers started to upload their contents weekly with
a fixed schedule to maximize viewer counts.
Early versions of commentary videos, vlogs, and comedy skits were everywhere.
With the increasing number of daily users, more and more videos are being uploaded every
second.
During this era, we saw the rise of gaming channels, and Pewdiepie comes first to mind
when everyone hears the phrase "YouTube gaming".
He became and still is the no. 1 subscribed YouTuber since September 2013, dethroning
Smosh.
He is the face of YouTube.
He is the king and no one can beat this indie creator.
But this YouTuber also faced something that everyone was afraid of later in his career.
One word, the "adpocalypse".
It was such a depressing time for YouTubers.
Advertisers such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Dr. Pepper started to pull out ads from YouTube.
Demonetization became a meme and one person was blamed for the incident.
That person is none other than the king of YouTube, Pewdiepie.
Various news outlets attacked him mercilessly, and the Wall Street Journal started the whole
"PewDiePie is a Nazi" thing.
Adpocalypse did not start because of PewDiePie's infamous video, where he made a Nazi joke,
but rather the incident when big companies' advertisements were shown on controversial
contents (one of them being Chief Keef Dancing to Alabama N****r).
Then, in New Year 2018, we have the infamous Aokigahara forest incident, which added more
fuel to the already blazing fire.
As a result, YouTube's Partner program increased their requirements from 10,000 lifetime views to
4,000 hours total watch time in the past 12 months and a minimum of 1,000 subscribers.
Smaller creators suffered from this the most, although the change is necessary to avoid
such controversy to be happening again.
YouTube is becoming more and more distant from its community, and one way to see that
is through YouTube's own year-in-review, the Rewind.
It is created and produced by YouTube themselves and also with the help of Portal A Interactive.
2010 was the fetus Rewind, it was the first and it was... nothing.
It's a simple video showcasing the top 10 videos that were trending or viral on that
year.
It's like any other listicles but it's simple, minimalistic and, pretty much a year-in-review.
In 2011, YouTube invited Rebecca Black to host Rewind that year, and like the previous
Rewind, it's a listicle which shows the top 10 viral videos that year.
People during that time actually hated the video because the host is the singer of the
worst song ever, Friday
...and this is where it got bigger.
2012, Gangnam Style.
Boom!
We have a perfect template for future Rewinds.
They increased the production value and it turned out to be great.
This was the first time they included content creators in the video and made a song mashup
and everyone is dancing and everything about it is so energetic.
Rewind 2013 saw more YouTubers, and they introduced non-Youtuber such as talk show hosts and Sesame
Streets characters.
It's a fine addition since their screen time is actually quite short.
This is also the first time they introduced the official YouTube Rewind logo.
The cute little Obama Kid hits the Rewind button and it's the most epic, the most uplifting
video at that time as viewers and fans of their content creators were all hyped.
And the video ends with Pewdiepie burying the button, and coincidentally a perfect foreshadowing
of the near future of YouTube.
The following years pretty much followed the same formula.
The colors are bright, the music is epic and they also started to include more memes into
Rewind.
2014 is opened by Pewdiepie, parodying the TDFW music video, and then he falls into a
classroom.
Everyone starts to dance and you can feel the emotion, the hype from the video.
2015 features more memes and gaming channels.
Nothing much has changed but it is better than the previous ones.
2015 also marks the 10th anniversary of YouTube, and they referenced some of the past viral
videos in Rewind 2015.
So far, so good.
In 2016, they feature more and more YouTubers that their screentime is less than a couple
of seconds.
More things are happening in the video, and memes get more spotlight too.
They also got Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to open Rewind that year.
2017... it received backlash from fans as PewDiePie [and other Youtubers] wasn't in it and they chose to feature
family-friendly YouTubers more.
The Paul Bros somehow got featured in Rewind even though their video quality is pretty
mediocre.
More non-YouTuber celebrities are featured and it shows how YouTube is becoming disconnected
from the community.
But everyone didn't know what comes next.
Rewind 2018 quickly became the most disliked YouTube video on the platform.
No one likes it, and that's just me being generous.
The video feels different.
It does not feel like a Rewind video.
It is an utter mess.
Will Smith isn't a YouTuber, Ninja isn't a YouTuber.
Talk show hosts aren't YouTubers.
The massive dislikes the video got reflects how YouTube has become out of touch with its
own platform; it is now an advertising platform.
Will Smith, Fortnite, Kpop, forced propaganda; they're all cringy.
The video centers around Fortnite heavily, reminiscent of Rewind 2012 with Gangnam Style.
It doesn't have anything much to it, other than the fact that YouTubers "control" Rewind
on a campsite.
The video is less colorful, a bit dark and bland.
You can't feel the vibe from the video, unlike previous Rewinds.
The settings are less compared to previous ones.
Kpop has always been big.
This year BTS has finally broken into the American market.
But Rewind only referenced BTS, which does not reflect Kpop as a whole.
Besides, Girls Generation was featured in Rewind 2014.
Honestly, the Kpop scene in Rewind is cringy because only BTS can rock the visuals and
aesthetics.
YouTube finally included animations, which is good
but it won't change the fact that the whole video is a mess.
Then there's the "emotional" campfire scene and it feels forced.
Take a look at Rewind 2011 and Rewind 2017.
See how they're different from 2018?
Rewind 2018 executed it very badly.
It's better to show, rather than talking in front of the camera because the emotion is
in the videos, unscripted and unfiltered, not through scripts and the mouths of YouTubers.
Mental health is no joke.
Everyone should be aware of it.
But YouTube suddenly cared for them and it feels fake since these YouTubers are reading
from a script.
Asian representation.
OK, what does this have to do with YouTube?
Crazy Rich Asians is the only movie that is very Asian this year, so I'm not sure what's
the impact that it has on YouTube.
Female empowerment is on the rise these days and it's good, although it can be quite toxic
sometimes.
Rewind 2018 however made it into a feminist propaganda bait.
I'm quite puzzled when they mentioned drags empowerment.
I don't remember drags being impactful on YouTube this year.
And after the scene ends, they decided to read the comments, RIGHT AFTER THEY TALK ABOUT
MENTAL HEALTH.
Everyone knows the no. 1 rule to taking care of your mental health on the internet is to
NOT read the comments.
Plus the comments shown on the video aren't real.
Who commented this?
Who wants Will Smith in Rewind?
Nobody.
And the irony of the whole video is...
when in reality none of the viewers really asked for these.
And somehow YouTube unconsciously referenced the Aokigahara forest controversy in Rewind.
PewDiePie once again wasn't in Rewind 2018 but he himself said that he's glad he's not in the
cringy video.
Thankfully Jaiden Animation featured PewDiePie's chair in her scene.
KSI vs LP and the iconic Shane Dawson documentary series are also two of the biggest events
on YouTube in 2018 but YouTube didn't reference them at all.
Jaiden Animation had put some Easter eggs in her scene, and she became the savior of
Rewind 2018... well not really but everyone is thankful for that.
From a humble beginning to the very messy love-hate relationship with its community,
it has become into a giant corporation which
relies heavily on advertisements to pay YouTubers.
When we take a look back at previous Rewinds, it
seems a like a big party where all YouTubers can have fun with themselves and their achievements.
Rewind 2018 feels claustrophobic and empty because it doesn't feel like Rewind, it feels
like an advertisement.

What is nanotechnology YouTube - Duration: 4:42.
What is nanotechnology and why should you care?
Before we get too technical try this
Pick up something that's close to you. Anything might be a glass or a smartphone or even a t-shirt. It doesn't really matter
What now?
Think about what this thing does
Well, it could be holding water or chasing Pokemon or if you're thinking about that t-shirt making you feel awesome
then think about what it doesn't do so well have
Smashing when you drop it or running out of power just when you need it or thinking about that t-shirt still
Smelling of Bo after you've worn it for a couple of days
It might not be obvious. But all of these things are good stuff and the bad
Depend on the individual atoms that make up the things around us and importantly how they're put together
It's a bit like a car working because of how all the individual bits are arranged
It's not just a case of having four wheels and engine and a steering wheel
They all have to be in the right place. If you want a car that gets you to where you're going without falling apart
of
Course atoms are a bit smaller than the wheels on a car but the same idea holds
How the different atoms in something are arranged can affect things like how strong or how weak it is or if it conducts electricity
or if you can see through it or even what it feels like in
Fact pretty much anything that the stuff around you does it does because of how all the different atoms is made of a put together
and this includes the things that you don't want stuff to do like breaking or smelling or
Running out of power if we were really smart, of course would make the stuff around us work better
Simply by doing a better job of arranging the different atoms
It's made of and if we were smarter still we could make
Totally new stuff by putting atoms together in ways that we'd never done before
We could even start to create stuff that behaves in quite unusual ways
Because when you start playing around with atoms you can tap into some really weird quantum physics
The trouble is atoms are really small
More than a million times smaller than the tip of your pinky finger and that means they're not that easy to work with
But over the past few years scientists and engineers have become increasingly good at designing and engineering
materials down at the level of atoms or small groups of atoms and
Because this new technology involved doing stuff at such a minut scale, it's called nano
technology
using their new skills
nanotechnologists are beginning to do cool stuff like
Creating materials that are really good at turning sunlight into energy
or using nanoscopic Li small particles to deliver
Anti-cancer drugs or even turning polluted water into drinkable water
They're even finding new ways to make glass
That doesn't break when you drop it batteries that last longer and even t-shirts that smell fresh after you've worn them for a few days
This is really powerful tech. It's helping us to do stuff
we couldn't even dream of just a few years ago, but because
Nanotechnology is so powerful. We need to be really careful how we use it
Just in case we end up causing more problems than we solve
The last thing we want is to make better solar cells that also
Destroy the environment or design more efficient water filters that just happen to cause more pollution
Because of this scientists and others are working hard to make sure we develop and use nanotechnology
responsibly but this isn't just down to
Nanotechnologists, it's something everyone can be part of because at the end of the day
It's up to us to decide just how much we want
Nanotechnology enabled products and what we're willing to put up with to get them

What To Do When You Have No Direction In Life - Duration: 11:48.
In this video, I'm going to show you 6 things you can do when you have no
direction in life. Don't waste any more time. Let's get this figured out now.
Alright. No direction? Wow. I know what that feels like. Sometimes
some things happen and just rattles our head and we can actually lose our
direction and be completely, completely lost in what to do next. Well, I'm glad
you clicked on this video because I'm going to show you what I do to get my head
back in the game, get some clarity and be able to make some choices and
re-establish that direction. Now, you're not alone in this being lost and
confused and not sure what to have. You know, what to do next. And because there's
a couple of things that can happen. Number 1, you could get broadsided by
some dramatic thing to happen in your life. You know, my son he was riding his
motorbike one day and and he got in a really serious motorbike accident. That
took about 3 days of my life to kind of settle back down my thinking because
he got beat up pretty bad in the motorcycle accident. And when I went back
into my office, I felt completely lost of like what exactly to do next. Another
reason why you might have lost your direction is you could have had a
mind-expanding moment. Maybe you just went to a training class. Maybe you just
finished reading a book or maybe just finished having a discussion with a
friend or a person and and they literally opened up your mind to a whole
bunch of possibilities. That actually can overwhelm us so much that we actually
lose direction. It doesn't have to be something bad to have happen to us to
lose direction. We could actually have too many things to choose from that we
lose our direction. So, whichever end of the spectrum here has happened to you,
let me give you some steps here. And in fact, there's going to be 6. 6 different
ideas here to literally help you get back on track and decide what to do next.
So number 1. And if you haven't heard this from me yet, it's
something that's I really believe in. Number 1 is to journal. If you haven't
heard me say this yet too, you're probably going to hear me say it a bunch. But
journaling is a great great step to help you figure out where you're at. Now, are
you journaling like a history of what your.... Of what's going on in your
life? No. You journal about what it feels like
to not know where you're going. Get all that out of you. You know, what's... What are
the worries, the concerns, the fears, the anxieties, the uncertainty? What's
going on in your head and inside your heart that may be messing with you?
So, express yourselves and get all that out inside of a journal entry. Another
step to be able to help you move forward here is literally to ask others. And ask
others where they're going? What are they doing? What are their thoughts? What are
they doing over the next month, 2 months, 6 months when it comes to the
fun things about life or the work side of life. You know, ask people what their
goals are. But to literally get your mind open back up to what other people are
doing. It's this is not so that you can do what other people are doing. It's to get
you in to the idea of thinking. Other people have direction. You know, other
people have made decisions of where they're going. And so it helps you
realize, "Oh, yeah. It is possible to figure out where you're going." So number 1 is
journaling. Number 2 is ask others. Number 3, meet someone new. Meet
someone new. And what this looks like is if you, if you've been talking to the
same people over and over again in your life and nothing's helping you figure
out where to go, it's time to meet somebody new. So where do you find that
person? Well if it has to do with a direction when it comes to business, go
join a business network group. If you... If it's not about business and it's about
you know, your own personal life, maybe open up and and go to the next door
neighbor and say hi. I know it sounds crazy. But I don't think you've met all
your neighbors. And I know it sounds weird to go over your neighbor's house
to figure out how to figure out you're particular
direction of life. But you need some new conversations. Some new thoughts, some new
things that are happening. And so go talk to your neighbor and see what
they're up to. I have a neighbor that just lives just down the sidewalk from
me here and every time I talk to him, he just opens my mind to all these new
things that are possible. Because he into building and construction and he's
got big ideas. Whenever I get stuck, I should go down
there and knock on his door. And he gives me his ideas away he's doing and it just
builds my my hope and faith in myself. So, go meet somebody new. It's time for
some new conversation. Now, number 4, 5 and 6. It may be you know you, may
be looking at this like, "What's that going to do?" But over the years for me in
figuring out how to keep me moving? These have all made a really big difference in
my life. Number 4 is to go to new places. And
if you've been driving down the same roads, going to the same restaurants,
going to the same movie theaters, you just are doing the same things all the
time. Change directions in how you drive home after work, change the road patterns,
go to a different restaurant in a different part of town. Go to a different
movie theater, go to a different grocery store. Not only do we get caught in the
ruts of how we think but we also can get cut caught in the ruts of how we think
about the future. So if if we always have predictable patterns of where we're
going with a grocery store, where we go to if we got to the restaurant, with
movie theatres. We go to and it's the same thing all the time. And we're trying
to get up and out of that thinking to think some new thoughts about our
direction. It kind of been away keeps us trapped. And so seriously, I one of my
mentoring clients, I asked him. I said, "Do you go home the same way every day after
work?" "Yeah, I go home the same way." I go, "Take a different road everyday. This next
week on the way home. And just go a completely different way. And then tell
me at the end of the week what that has done to help you with your thinking."
Within 5 days of changing his driving patterns,
his thought patterns changed. And something he noticed was this. He said,
"Kirk, you know on the way home because I was driving somewhere different, I had to
pay attention to the turns. I had to pay attention to the routes. And what it did
is it literally woke up his mind to literally pay attention."" And he didn't
realize what a kind of a... Not a zombie state. But almost like a sleepy brain
state. Like your brain didn't even have to think about anything always doing the
same thing always you know, over and over and over again. But go to new places. The
way you get there, the different kind of grocery stores. You go to a new grocery
store, you have to really look around to find stuff because you don't know where
anything is. But it helps you keep your mind open and
and have the ability to pick some new directions. Okay. Number 5 is give yourself
permission to test and try the new direction. I noticed when I watch people
make a new direct, new choice and a direction, they get super nervous and
they're worried that it's going to fail and they're overly concerned and then they
kind of get confused. And they don't do anything. They don't take any small steps.
So I suggest to them to remind yourself you're testing the direction. Not all
choices are the best choices. So we need to test it and give ourself a time
period to test things. You know when you pick a new direction, tell yourself, "You
know, I'm going to... I'm going to try this new direction out for a week or maybe 2
weeks. Maybe a month." And then I have permission to reevaluate. That can help
you make some decisions in the direction you want to go. But give yourself the
permission and also the timeframe to test it. So you're not sitting there
trying to figure out what is the perfect answer to move me forward in life.
Sometimes having no direction can be a signal or a sign that you're a little
bit of a perfectionist. Where you're holding back until you have the perfect
idea with the perfect steps so you can do the perfect work. And you might be
using this as an excuse while you're working on your perfect... Your
perfection side of you and try and have perfect idea. But back off that so you
can choose something and then test and try it. Now number 6. This one is super
fun. To travel. No, I don't mean like traveling clear across the world or you
know. I'm not saying you have to go to a secluded island or a different country.
But if I ever in a place where I have no direction, what I will do is I will take
a trip and I will drive to the top of the mountains here. There just right next
to the Salt Lake City. Drive to the top of the mountains or we'll go on a short
little getaway vacation. But I need some fresh air, I need a different atmosphere,
I need to be around different people. And just the different differentness. Is
that a word? It's not a word but I'm going to say it again. The differentness. So
not a word. But the just that everything's different. And when I go to
those places, right? Drive to the top of mountains or we go to a restaurant and
way over that's a couple hours away, I take a journal with me. You know, or I'll
just type notes on my phone. When I'm in that different place, it helps me think
differently. If you don't have direction, it's not because you lack ideas. I think
you just need to have some new fresh things happening in your life to spark
the ideas that are inside of you. Yeah, I I think what you got going on is you're
a little bit of a perfectionist or you have had a very big mind-expanding act
experience recently or you've been broadsided by something tough in life. So
perfectionism or a mind-expanding experience or even broadsided by
something. So your ideas are still inside of you. They're still there. If you were
to take action on 1 or 2 of these, you can begin to bring those ideas back
to the surface so that you can take some action and test and try it. Just a test
and try it. You're not as lost as you thought you
were. You're really not. You're not as lost as you thought you
were. You just have had something happen to you recently. And this can help you
get you through it. The simplest out of all of these is number 1. That will
help you in finding and clarifying your direction. It's also why we
make these training videos to be able to help you. I mean, check it out. You're
maybe you're sitting there in your pajamas. I don't know. Maybe you're just
watching me on your phone. You're off you're sitting there just for a moment.
And here, you and I are able to talk and I was able to give you some steps to be
able to help get things moving again. So, don't miss out on any of our other
training videos. So subscribe. So that the next training video I have can
automatically come to you and you don't miss a thing.
So, before we go here though, take action on number 1. I don't think you're as
lost as you thought you were. Something's happened but this could get you back on
track. And thank you for watching. Because here, your life matters.

What's Credit Cards In My Wallet? | 2018 Review of Cards That Are New, Staying & Leaving - Duration: 8:51.
Hey, how's it going everyone? Its Ernest from Trip Astute. Happy Holidays! In this
video, we're going to review what credit cards are in my wallet at the end of
2018 and which ones are out.
(light chiming music)
I know a lot of you have asked me to do a "what's in
my wallet" video, so I thought I would end the year with the review of which cards
are staying in my wallet, which ones are leaving, and which ones were added. But
first, if you're new here, welcome to our channel. Trip Astute a travel channel
that is focused on sharing ways to make travel easier, affordable, and more
enjoyable. Traveling can be stressful and expensive, so we're looking for ways to
help you maximize your experience through travel tips, points and miles, and
innovative gear. If that sounds interesting to you, please consider
subscribing. First we'll cover the newcomers to my wallet this year. Number
1: American Express Gold card. I'm excited to be earning American Express
Membership Rewards points again. It's been a while since I've had them and I know a
lot of you have asked me to do videos on the American Express cards. I've
hesitated to do them since I didn't have a points-earning American Express card
until now, so I couldn't pull accurate screenshots or even speak from personal
experience. But now that I have one, you can expect to see more videos on the
Gold Card and Membership Rewards program. This is definitely an interesting card
and it looks like American Express is really trying to win over the Chase
Sapphire cardmembers with this card. Number 2: US Bank Cash+. I've been
interested in this card for a while. I'm definitely not a big spender when it
comes to daily expenses, but I still have this dream of having most of my spend
earning some kind of a bonus. I thought this card might be a good fit to help me
reach that goal and to fill in the gaps. I like that it has customizable rotating
bonus categories. However, I don't expect to generate a lot of cash back from this
card. But I think it'll be useful to have, especially since I do a rotating bonus
category video every three months. Number 3:
Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Business card. I wasn't planning on getting this
card but I got it for the purpose of earning enough points to get another
year on our Southwest companion pass. Last year, I earned a companion pass by
applying for the personal Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus card and we really
benefited from having the pass. Having it for another year seems like a no-brainer
for us so we strategically planned to get
the card and use Southwest hotel bookings to
earn enough points to get our companion pass renewed. I'm gonna do a video on the
Southwest companion pass program since it's very valuable and easy to get if you
plan it right. And now, here are the cards that have become a regular part of my
everyday carry this year. Number 1: Chase Sapphire Reserve. You all know how
much I love Chase Ultimate Rewards points, so this shouldn't be a surprise. I still
love my Sapphire Reserve, and it's probably the most valuable card in my
wallet. Since I tend to spend a significant amount on dining and travel,
especially parking expenses here in LA, this card really works well for me. Also,
the $300 annual travel credit makes this card feel like it only
has a $150 annual fee. Even though most of my dining out spend will probably end up
on the American Express Gold card, I still think I'll be able to take
advantage of this card's benefits. Number 2: Chase Ink Business Preferred. This is
my primary business card for Trip Astute. Like the Sapphire Reserve, it earns a lot
of bonus points. Even the opening bonus on this card is an amazing eight
thousand points. I basically use it for all my business expenses and it's
definitely a keeper in my wallet. Number 3: Chase Ink Business Cash.
This is another card that I keep and use all the time. I have another small
business that I run so I use the Ink Business Cash for all of those expenses.
I also charge my internet and streaming services on this card since it earns
five points per dollar on purchases from office supply stores, internet, cable, and
phone services. It doesn't have an annual fee so it's a great card to have
especially since it also earns Ultimate Rewards points. Number 4: American
Express Blue Cash Preferred. This is a powerhouse cash back card. It earns me
six percent cash back on groceries and three percent back on gas, and I'm able
to take advantage of many of the Amex offers. However, this card will likely get
downgraded to the no annual fee version since I'll be using the Gold card for
grocery purchases this year. Though if I decide not to renew the Gold card after
the first year, I'll likely restore this card as my primary grocery card. Number
5: Chase Freedom. This is another workhorse in my wallet. I try to take
advantage of the five percent quarterly rotating bonus categories which can earn
me 7,500 Ultimate Rewards points every quarter. With no annual fee,
this card is definitely staying in my wallet. Number 6: Chase Freedom Unlimited. This
card is my go-to card for any expenses that are not covered by a bonus category.
It earns a flat rate of 1.5 points per dollar so it's a great no-nonsense card
for expenses where I can't really maximize a bonus category. Number 7:
Discover It. Like the Chase Freedom, the Discover It card offers a rotating
quarterly bonus. However, similar to my American Express Blue Cash Preferred
card, it earns cash back. But I can put that money toward my travel budget. Okay,
those are the cards I actually carry in my wallet. However, I do have a bunch of
other credit cards that I don't necessarily carry with me all the time,
but I keep active since I get some kind of reward or benefit with them, even if
they have an annual fee. Here's a list of cards that I have as well. Number 1:
Chase IHG Rewards Club Select. I've covered this card in several videos. I
basically keep it because I get Platinum Elite status with IHG and more
importantly, a free anniversary night with my $49 annual fee. The free night
alone is worth so much more than the annual fee. Chase is trying to get me to
upgrade to the new IHG Premier card, but honestly I don't think that I would take
advantage of the new benefits. And I don't want to pay the $89 annual fee. The
next card on my list is the Chase Hyatt card. Like the IHG Rewards Club card,
this card offers a bump in loyalty status and provides a free night every
year with an annual fee of $95. There are a ton of awesome hotels in Hyatt's
portfolio where you can use your annual certificate. Since I can almost guarantee
that I'll get a room for more than the value of the annual fee, it's worth
keeping this card. Next is the Chase United MileagePlus Explorer card. I
never use this card but I keep it for the lounge passes, free check-in baggage,
priority boarding, and additional award availability. If you have this card, you'll
actually see more award seat availability for flights when redeeming
points. To me, these benefits are worth the $95 annual fee. I've contemplated
cancelling this card, but I'm gonna keep it for at least another year, especially
with some of the changes in United's economy baggage policy. The Citi Double
Cash is also in my drawer. I thought about closing the account but I figured
I would just keep it just in case anything changes in my current setup,
especially with Chase. The Double Cash used to be my go-to non-bonus spend card,
but it was replaced by the Freedom Unlimited. I know
that may sound strange because the Double Cash earns 2% while the
Freedom Unlimited only earns 1.5%, but keep in mind that the Freedom Unlimited
earns Ultimate Rewards points which are valued at at least 1.5 cents.
So essentially, I'm earning 2.25% with the Freedom Unlimited,
which is why I prefer it. Lastly, I do have two USAA credit cards that are also
in my drawer. I got both of these credit cards when I was a cadet in
college. The only reason I even keep these cards is because they are my
oldest credit cards, so cancelling them would probably affect my credit score since
it would decrease my average age of accounts. And sadly, there are a few
credit cards that didn't make it to the end of 2018. This includes the following
cards. Club Carlson Premier Rewards. While this card has helped me to earn a lot of
Club Carlson points, I've struggled to redeem the points. Club Carlson does have some
incredible resorts around the world like their Radisson Blu brand. But we've not
been able to use the points when traveling due to limited availability or
high point rates. Even though I was earning 40,000 Club Carlson points every
year with my $75 annual fee, I decided to cancel the card. Chase Southwest Rapid
Rewards Plus. As I mentioned earlier, I got this card last year in order to earn
a companion pass. At the time, Southwest was offering California residents the
opportunity to earn a free companion pass as a welcome offer. The only
problem is I didn't really use the card, and even when paying for Southwest
flights, I prefered to use my Sapphire Reserve card since I could earn
Ultimate Rewards points. So, I decided to cancel this card since there wasn't a no
annual fee downgrade option and applied for the business version instead. And
that's my wallet wrap-up for 2018. Let me know what you think in the comment
section below. Also, I would love to hear what cards have joined, stayed, or left
your wallet this year. If you're interested in applying for any of the
cards featured in this video, please consider using the credit card links on

What I got my Friends & Family for Christmas |🎁 Gift Buying Ideas 🎁 - Duration: 12:10.
hey guys it is Lily here I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas and are
looking forward to the new year so this video was actually meant to come out
about two weeks ago that she was meant to come out maybe like that beginning of
this month for a gift guide video but the problem is I came unwell and
don't worry about it guys I'm fine, just don't worry and I just didn't get
around to editing it and all that so I've scheduled it to come out today or
whenever you see it I kind of as a sort of show you what I did maybe future
reference for gift buying and stuff like that or hopefully you might be watching
it next year of all Christmas I don't know anyway I hope you enjoyed this
video and I hope you get really good ideas from it hello my lovelies and
Merry Christmas it is Lily here from crafting though mental
health I hope you're all having a fabulous December so what I wanted to do
today will show you what I'm getting my friends and family for Christmas I have
been on quite a budget this year so I've done it all quite very cheap and quite
well so I have crafted a few but I have mainly sort of gifted them but even
though I've done it on the cheap I still think these presents are really
nice and people will really want them so I think it will really help you I don't
really believe that you need to spend big to show your love for people at
Christmas I think it's more at the time and for that is the important part and
that's what I'm gonna gonna show you so let's just dig into it at first I'll
show you the ones I got wrapped already because I forgot I was making this video
this one is what I'm getting my dad this is the most expensive present I've got
this year for anyone and it is 15 pounds he loves trains and I just saw it and I
was like I don't care how much it is I'm getting that because I know it will
bring so much joy to our family and we'll play it on Christmas Day these two
are for my dogs so one actually pretty much just looks like my hat is a turkey
any other is a Brussels sprout apparently that's the big thing
Brussels sprouts for dogs like toys I didn't know I thought I was unique and
special clearly I'm not so weeep weep
I got a Northumberland colouring-in but she loves coloring in books she's before
they were thing she was like why isn't there adult colouring in books so we got her one well I
say we me and my sister picked out and it's just different places up north
where our family are from and yeah it's really cute and I thought she'd really
like that then I picked up and she seemed to whoa check if it's got any
price labels. Don't forget to check for price labels, I got her some colored
pencils from Tiger I just thought was a really cute little thing and that was
only like two pound maybe at most they're like I'm getting this I know I
know this reminds me of did you remember
that Simpsons episode where Bart gets really fat and he wears a muumuu and he
has a rag on a stick yeah he uses a rag on a stick
well my mom basically said oh well you know what they should invent sponges on
sticks and that's like they have them and I found this I think it was 33P
in home bargains and obviously I had to get it for in all of the presents they
are all getting a toffee and I got this pack it's five for basically four pound
and I'm giving it to my boyfriend my parents and my brother and sister and
they're all getting one each because I know they all like them so the next
thing I got was I think this was about four pound but it was down to £2 when I
bought it because Its an ice hockey game
my brother-in-law loves ice hockey he lives for it so I know this one's a bit
confusing so you have to add water then freeze but you know what it's just a
little you know game thing to play maybe at Christmas or at New Year's or
something and I just think it would be a bit of
fun so let's move on to the gift boxes that I have made I'm really happy with
these because they are super super cheap and you can so customize it to the
person you're doing it to and you can also kind of make it as expensive as you
like because you don't have to buy the exact same things I bought I just kind
of bought a few bits that were a bit cheaper but you can make it as cheap as
you like if you want to or as expensive as you can you can really indulge in
this person if I got boxes from my work so those were three my brother's called
Alex and I've made it into a movie night theme I didn't gave him a DVD because I
just thought it's just gonna be one of those presents I was probably not gonna
use. he got one of these toffee things also got him popcorn obviously
mini Pringles because who doesn't like Pringles so that's a all together the
Pringles they came in a big thing like this I wanted to get one for
myself I think it was like just under five pound for a big one like this so I
got him one and I got my problem because he don't really like chocolate so if he
doesn't like the toffee ones we can leave him and the other thing I got him was
lager because he's more of a drinker that is kind of his gift one I might get
a few more bits and bobs just a kind of little extras to put in there and then
I've just gotten some old tissue paper I had laying around it's good to kind of
keep a bag of stuff like this. oops this one is ripped, oh well I know he won't care
it sounds like bad I know he won't care it's just all nice he can open it up I
will be wrapping these boxes as well but you could just leave it like that but I
just feel like wrapping them will be bit more of a surprise I am wrapping them in
this paper I got from primark so it's really cute and it was one pound for
eight meters and I have one from the works it was £3 and it's
sort of like decorative stuff the next one is my sister's cozy night in box which
is just adorable yet again from work I got more stuff for her but actually I
think the price of equaled out the same it's always tricky because she is a lot
easier to buy for then my brother first of all she's like into blue, mermaids and
stuff like that and I've got her this I love Imperial leather oh my god that
smells very good I got us some cozy socks I don't see his eyes bring your
eyes down oh that's so cute the next thing I did was buy these jars
now I do need to still label these jars actually so hot chocolate I love hot
chocolate and I have some at home so what I did was buy jars and fill them up
with the hot chocolate I already had so this is the white hot chocolate and this
is just normal hot chocolate I fit its the aero one and both really nice and I
just know that it's just nice to have with it and I know you can get like these
spooned things which is one drink and you can get like a few drinks out of these
next thing I got was candles I'm shocked when I looked back at how expensive
these were they were a 39 P each I mean that's bargain there from home bargains
I'm pretty sure they were this ones mold pear and cranberry she loves mold drinks
and this one's gingerbread you gotta have gingerbread anytime around
Christmas she's a crafter like me and I know she likes these little crochet kits
and because it's a cozy night in and I know she's like me she'll be watching a
movie and she won't just be watching the movie she'll be having to do something
with it and I just think that's so cute look at those little mittens they're so
cute I kind of want to do it myself and then the rest is all different things
some of these were sort of ones I had already so we've got a dead sea mask and
then because I'm an ex hair dresser I used to get a lot of samples so I've
got a few here that I've gotten I thought
she would like I know this is a man so it might be a bit meh, but like I mean it's a face
you can use it on anyone's face but this one works really well they will
from Primark then the pink lemonade peeler and we've got a tea tree foot spa
thing so just little extras that are just really nice at us now we're on to
my boyfriend's box so I also got my boyfriend the Pringles as well so he's
got the eight cans of Pringles and he's got two things I haven't arrived yet
they're both books so it's regrettable superheroes and regrettable villains
that I got off of loot crate and actually it was really good considering
its from America it was really good bargain so I got him some drumstick
because he bloody loves these squishy drumstick things so obviously you need
to get him those I got him these wooden games he loves doing like little things
and like impossible game thinks and I know I don't think he has any of these
ones so I think he'll kind of like doing these. now I'm gonna tell you all about
the most exciting presents I've made I have made these oh thank you they are
little jars with pancake mix in I have made them with a recipe that I've got
off Pinterest I will link it down below it'll be the first link in my
description if you would like to find out how they did it but I would just
tell you some of the ins and outs as well so the ingredients round about our
baking powder flour cinnamon dried apples which I got mine from Holland and
Barrett they were really good they were probably the most expensive item which
kind of was about two - three pound caster sugar and then I got a cinnamon stick
this was the ribbon I already had and the black paper and white ink I
already had what the jars from hobby craft I've got the instructions on the
back I've kind of personalized them to myself the woman that made this recipe
sort of had printable labels so that's really good and yeah it's just really
good tried them out and they taste amazing
and I love them I love them and they're just so good for Secret Santa because
they're so personalized and handmade and all the other gifts are done so I worked
out how much they cost including buying the jars and all that and all together
it was 1 pound 87p that's bargain! and I've made six in total and I just I
love them they're amazing thank you for watching this
video guys I hope you have a fabulous fabulous New Year's and you've had a
really fabulous Christmas and you're stuffing yourself full with really
amazing food anyway I will see you guys in the new year I love you

[ENG SUB] MONSTA X (몬스타엑스) What the story that Monsta X hit in Hongdae street? [Future Diary _ep15] - Duration: 17:54.
[Why did MONSTA X get spanked in a street?] Lay your face down.
I'll spank you hard.
[The Future Diary]
[MONSTA X will be starring in the Future Diary Ep.8] [Hyungwon & I.M & Juheon & Minhyuk]
Hello.
Why do you think you're paired in twos?
[Yeah, right] -The Stong team and the Weak team. -Correct.
Once you see us, you get the idea.
-They're helpless. -Yeah.
Helpless.
-What do you think? -You agree with me. -Yeah.
[You seem to have different characteristics] The seven of us have different characteristics.
-But these twos have similar characteristics. -Right.
[Hyungwon and I.M have similar taste in traveling] We have similar taste in traveling.
They get emotional.
-They walk together holding a cup of coffee. -Wearing sunglasses.
[Hate it] That's not my style.
[Counterattack] As you can see, they're so talkative.
They've already talked like 400 words each.
-Because this is a variety show. -Don't you want to be exposed on camera?
-Is this a documentary? -You should say something.
[Hate it] Did you just see them?
They're so distracting.
[Sad~]
[The Future Diary can give you an experience] We can make each other experience the hell
[of the heaven and the hell] and the heaven in a day.
I won't make them experience the hell. We're a team.
They're more than willing to do it.
[Haha][He he]
As you can see, we're so harmonized.
I'm feeling tired already.
[Writing a diary, START!]
[So excited from the beginning]
[So excited]
[On the other hand, Hyungwon & I.M are serious] They are
talkative.
we have to minimize their strengths.
[Insider Minhyuk & Juheon] They're insiders.
We're going to end it.
[They don't care. They're just so excited]
-I don't think we should do it. -They're going to be mad.
-They're doing to mad. -Really mad.
I love Future Diary.
[Unexpected MONSTA X, How will they spend the day?]
[The Future Diary]
[A playground at Hongdae on an autumn day in November]
[Suspicious conversation] Walk straight like this.
[Planning on something] -Walk straight like this and.. -Straight and...
Face each other like this.
[What are they doing?] Okay.
[1000 years later?] We've come to the future, 1,000 years from now.
Going back to the Joseon era
and experience the spirit of our people.
You've prepared a lot.
[Nodding in affirmation]
[How will they act like they're from 1,000 years ago]
[What are the doing?]
-Is this right? -I think it is.
[Imitating Dr. Strange who moves through time and space]
[That was perfect]
[They did it so hard that we decided to apply computer graphics]
[1,000 years ago in Hanyang, Minhyuk and Juheon were talking a walk]
[A strange tunnel appeared in front of them]
[They were sucked into the tunnel and traveled to another time]
[Where have they arrived?]
[Arrived to the future, 1,000 years ahead]
[Good job!]
[Minhyuk and Juheon's day] "Oh, my god! What happened?"
"I arrived to the future, 1,000 years later from now in Nov. 2018."
[Suspicious diary] "I can't believe it I slapped my knee."
-What's wrong with this tone? -What's wrong?
Just do what the diary says. You should slap your knee first.
Slapping on the knee!
[What does it say again?] "Fortunately, my loyal..."
[Slave? Dolsoi?] "slave Dolsoi is here with me."
[What does this mean?]
I don't believe it.
Let me give you the costume first.
-What's that shoes? -Do we have to wear these?
I can't believe it.
[The straw shoes made them want to win even more]
[What game do they have to play?]
[Game to decide their rank][Old version of Cleopatra game] I'm confident.
[The rules are similar to the Cleopatra game] He's good at making high-pitched tone like a dolphin.
[Confident]
You can go first.
[GAME START!]
[Starting from Dolphin Lee] Hello, a girl from next village.
[Scared already][Dolphin Lee is fierce from the beginning] The best potato digger in Joseon.
Hello, a girl from next village.
The best potato digger in Joseon.
[Is that all you got?]
Hello! A girl from next village.
[Dolphins from next village are summoned] Hello! A girl from next village.
Girl!
The best potato digger in Joseon.
[I can't let him win] Hello!
Hello! A girl from next village.
A girl from next village.
[What's wrong with him?] The best poptato digger
[I'm using my secret weapon] in Joseon.
[It's like...] Hello!
[pure voice hitting high-pitched tones]
[Just like a soprano] Hello!
[Calling his dolphin friends again]
[People from next village] The best potato digger
[came to see the best soprano in town] in Joseon.
[Going up!] [Higher!]
[Mom, I'm scared of him...] Hello! A girl from next village.
The best potato digger in Joseon.
[I'm ending this before Juheon collapses on the ground]
[That Soprano came again to beat Juheon] Hello, a girl from next village.
Hello, a girl from next village.
The best potato digger in Joseon.
[YOU LOSE]
[WIN
[I can't be his slave] No!
[Excited]
We'll be right back.
Let's move through time.
My throat hurts.
[10 minutes later]
[Came back in strange clothes]
You look good, Juheon.
[We gave him comfortable shoes] You're cool.
[Rules for Minhyuk and Juheon] Since you're from 1,000 years ago,
You can't use modern words.
What if we do?
[Ta-da]
You'll get spanked.
"Dolsoi and I were so curious about what happened"
"We came to see a famous fortunteller."
"I was about to scold Dolsoi."
"Then Dolsoi lied down and gave me a piggyback ride."
[Heavier than expected] Let's go.
Wait!
[Satisfied]
Okay, okay.
Okay?
[Oh my]
Lie with your face down!
[First spanking]
I will hit you hard.
[Sad]
-Carry me on your back. -This is too hard.
[Once more time]
[Feeling comfortable on his back] I feel so comfortable.
Let's go.
-Where to, sir? -Go straight.
My arms are shaking, sir.
[Strange tools]
[A stranger man. Where is this place?]
[And two paper dolls...]
[Hesitant...]
Hello.
Please come on in.
-Good bye. -Good bye.
[I want to go home]
[He knew what they are going to do]
[Frustrated]
[And he is getting angry]
[Do you work out?]
-I breathe... and walk...
lift a spoon.
I work out on stage.
So I don't...
[His hands are expressing his fear] I'm okay.
I'm doing a crossfit.
So I called my
crossfit coach in advance.
My coach has prepared everything for them.
I feel like my body is crushing when doing a crossfit.
[So excited for them]
[
[Delivering the diary]
-"We met a coach who's in good shape" -We did.
"And let him control our body and soul."
Oh, my...
"We repeated 'I'm happy" over and over again."
[No explanation needed] -Let's do it. -Yeah.
[Taken in by the coach]
Okay let's go!
[Warming up] -Are we starting already? -Go! go!
-To where? -To the end.
My flank hurts already.
[Only one minute has passed] You can't be hurt already.
I'm happy.
Smiling brings you fortune.
-I'm so happy. -I'm happy.
I'm happy.
[As the exercising continues] -I'm happy. -I'm happy.
I'm happy.
[Hyungwon is lagging behind I.M] I'm happy.
We heard that Hyungwon is the weakest in MONSTA X.
[Can' deny it]
He starts a day coughing in the morning.
[Imitating Hyungwon][Coughing] Like this.
[Can't deny it]
-Here we go. -Okay.
-Here we go. -Okay.
Do it.
[I'm doing it]
Why won't you do it?
[His feet can't leave the ground]
Why won't you do it?
[Trying it again]
[Yes... you failed...]
Did we do something wrong to Juheon?
[Falling on the ground] You'll be here with Juheon the next time.
Let's just have a cup of coffee instead.
[I'm so tired]
[I'll train you hard]
[Sounds simple] You'll do it 8 times and 12 times after that.
8 and 12 in 7 minutes.
[Confident] -Are you happy? -I'm happy.
2,1 Go!
[Starting with a lot of energy!]
Hyungwon, faster! Above your head.
I.M is full of energy. You'll be here with Juheon the next time.
[Fun exercising]
[Laugh when you can] Two more.
Jump.
[Moving on to the next exercise] Be careful not to fall over a box.
Jump higher. You can't get hurt.
Great job.
[To. Hyungwon & I.M] We wrote down something funny in the diary.
Nothing that will make you suffer.
-Don't make a straight face. -Don't make a straight face.
-You'll make great memories. -Let's enjoy it.
We love you.
I'm happy! Happy!
[Let's move!] 40 seconds!
30 seconds!
Lee Juheon!
[Enduring till the end] I.M, after 8 times you are done.
-I've already did it 8 times. -You're almost there.
[Hyungwon is getting sick]
Hyunwon, let's go.
How many more?
[Where am I...?] Three more minutes, Hyungwon.
-I think I need to go home now. -3 minutes.
[Finished the last one] Okay.
[Exercising time is over!] It's over now.
[Please help me]
[You both work really hard!]
[After exercising, Dingo brings up the reported stories]
- We've received too many stories. - What stories?
- This has been too plain. - Too much plain.
[They came up with something special..] - This will be really difficult. - Right.
But it's better than I thought.
This is nothing.
Everybody wrote things like this, right?
Right.
"To nurture patriotism,"
"we must not use loan words today". Like this..
- You don't look good. - We're happy!
[Oops! Foreign word!] I.M!
[Interpreting his words..] My name is...
[Can't understand we can't call him his name] [Shh!]
[(He heard him so well but)] You didn't hear anything.
[Penalty 1][Penalty 2] - Short and quick. - Okay. - Let's go! - Okay.
[Penalty 3] - Let's go. - Okay.
[Penalty 4] - We can't use foreign words. - Let's go. - Okay.
[What's their first penalty?] This is easy.
It's too weak. Give us stronger one.
[First penalty: Wear a pink hairpin]
[What's their second schedule?] Let's go home.
[In the meantime, Minhyuk & Juheon] Dingo.
Dingo.
[Excited by the fact that they can say Dingo freely] When you want to say foreign words,
Dingo.
Do you know what time you were born?
- I don't. - You should know it.
[Juheon is calling his mom]
[Surprised by the loud sound] [Reading people's faces]
- Mother. - What's wrong?
I'll be appreciated if you tell me what time I was born.
[His mother doesn't sound confident] Um.. daytime..
Tell me the minute, mother.
Minute.. there's no such things.
By any chance, you don't remember it?
[Just laughing without saying a word]
I think in the early minutes.
Mother, I'm Minhyuk.
I knew it. You sound a bit husky.
- Okay. - Cheer up, my son.
- Thank you. - Keep up the good work.
Bye.
[Why does he need to know the time he was born?]
Can friends do that?
To predict their harmony.
[Laugh whenever they meet]
[Always taking care of each other]
- You like me doing this, right? - Yes. - Ha ha ha.
[Serious face] - You sounded like you didn't mean it. - Oh, really? Let's do it again.
- You like me, right? - Yes.
[How harmonious will Minhyuk & Juheon be?]
I'm nervous.
You don't have to be nervous.
[Minhyuk = Earth] - Minhyuk, you were born as the earth. - Okay.
[Juheon] And Juheon, you were born as the tree.
If there are no tree on the earth, what will happen?
It's just empty.
Lonely.
- Wow~ - Oh~
[OMG] So, Juheon will be
the great scenery of Minhyuk.
[Like Minhyuk always takes care of Juheon] He's the person who can take care of Juheon.
But he may get sulky easily.
[The reason why he should take care of Juheon = Because he gets sulky easily]
[He can't agree more] - He is timid but no one knows. - Right, right.
He's right.
- If I don't take care of him, he gets sulky right away. - Yes, if you don't.
And Minhyuk, you seems outgoing but
you gets lonely easily.
- This is amazing. - You're right.
[He does feel lonely easily despite his outgoing personality] People think I have many friends,
but I don't have a friend.
[I had no idea] You get lonely easily.
So, you take care of each other in detail.
Try to understand each other.
Be his beautiful scenery.
[Hope you keep taking care of each other!] I love you.
I love you.
[Their perfect harmony was proven] This is the best.
I feel a bit sorry for other members.
We had..
[How do I say healing in Korean..?] a healing time.
Because I think we're having a healing time.
- He's right. - I feel sorry.
[While Juheon & Minhyuk is having a healing time]
[Arrived at somewhere in suspicious costume] - Hello. - Hello.
Let's make them wear something that they can't take off.
Let's make them wear animal pajamas.
- Right! - Animal pajamas.
How cute they would look in that? So cute.
[As Juheon asked..] Honey bee and..
a honey bee and a puppy.
"I just got curious about how our day will go today"
I'm really curious.
"I decided to try tarot cards for today"
I do want to try tarot cards.
[Both are satisfied] - Here.. - I think this is a good idea.
[How will their fortune be today?]
It says Hyungwon was really upsetting until this morning.
[Our puppy had a really disturbing morning] Yes, I was.
I think your heart may get tired.
I can see
something that is beyond your control is coming.
[He already had a really difficult time..]
[I don't want any more hardships today..]
[I.M's fortune for today] You are wondering what pictures will appear?
So many cups.
[Cup.. That's a foreign word] I think I will spend a lot.
[He seemed like he would pretend nothing has happened]
[Bad me!]
[How is I.M's luck today?] In the afternoon,
there will be an event and you need to make a decision.
[Decision..] It says you'll be satisfied with the result.
[Unlike Hyungwon] I think today,
will be a great day for you.
People around you will grant any request you make.
That's right.
[Envious] Really good..
By any chance..
Can I read cards for you?
[Bewildered]
[It's so like I.M]
Because it's unfair for you if you only have to read other's luck.
[Very unique client] Thinking about my luck?
[What's the master's future told by I.M?] Good, good.
[I'm doing this right]
[Say just about anything] Good.
[Why am I so nervous..] You..
will have lots of customers. After our visit.
[Sounds like he has 23 years of experience] Can we call this place a good restaurant?
I think this place will be popular.
One thing you should be careful about is,
[Hyungwon is also reading the cards now] you should watch out for dogs.
- Seeing this.. - You'll have a really bad customer once.
[I.M's conclusion] He's shooting out his tongue.
You should beware of this customer.
If you quit singing, you should try this job.
[The moment they finished tarot card reading, penalty cards are presented] Foreign words!
[What will be their second penalty?]
Blusher.
[Beware of foreign words today] Touch the face.
[Second penalty mission cleared]
[Tarot reading time is over] Thank you for your hard work.
Thank you for your hard work.
[Crowded Hongdae streets] It's been a long time.
[They stand out] It's really been a long time.
Amazing.
[Cultural shock][Korean idols?] There are lots of people.
[Who are they?]
[The moment they are walking down the street]
Our music is coming out.
[Following the music]
Hello.
Please play that music a lot. We are MONSTA X.
[Amazing!] Thank you.
[MONSTA X is a foreign word] I should get spanked.
[Voluntarily let him spank him] I'm not a monster (word fun with MONSTA X).
[Ruthless spanking]
[About to lose his temper!]
[Although he got spanked, but they feel good thanks to "Shoot Out"]
- I feel good. - I feel good.
[They are happy after having a healing time and walking down the street] When can we
the street like this.. It doesn't happen very often.
[They became the Pied Piper of Hongdae]
[Oh my gosh]
Please listen to "Shoot Out" a lot.
[Time to spank] You need to get spanked.
[Shoot Out by MONSTA X (X)] He meant our song "Shoot Out".
[Ready to spank]
[Spank]
Please listen to "Shoot Out" by MONSTA X a lot.
Please listen to "Shoot Out" by MONSTA X a lot.
[MONSTA X is the best!] MONSTA X.
[Arrived at this place on foot, not knowing what will happen next]
Hello.
[They are having a good time?] We are friends
who will spend the rest of the life together.
[Juheon turned his back from him?]
[Next episode of MONSTA X]
[Please check it at 6 PM, December 27 on Dingo Music's V Channel]
