previously the Nokia 6.1 Plus launched with stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo

this wasn't surprising because the Nokia 6.1 plus was part of the Google's

Android 1 program like other Android one devices the 6.1 Plus would receive

priority software updates directly from Google and this has been the case as

well with the handset receiving several software updates in the 4 months it has

been around however the phone has reportedly started receiving the most

significant software update since its launch

according to folks over at Nokia power user

it seems nokia has started to quietly roll out an official update to Android 9

pi 4 the 6.1 + according to the blog post by Nokia power user the latest

Android Pi build for the nokia 6.1 + includes several user interface and

stability improvements what the official changelog for this update fails to talk

about however is that this update also includes several feature additions one

of the more significant feature additions is in the camera department

where once you update to this new version you shall be able to access the

pro camera mode that was hitherto absent from this handset this mode was

unavailable for handsets from Nokia that did not feature Zeiss optics it remains

to be seen how useful this new feature actually is the second software feature

that the Nokia 6.1 + gets with this update is the option to hide the notch

appearing in the display settings menu note that you had this option earlier as

well but had to go into the developer settings menu to access it simply put it

is now simpler to turn off and on the knotch

Nokia 5 1 Plus start receiving Android Pie update brings Pro Camera mode feature and more - Duration: 1:58.

Android Pie is making its way to more phones as time goes by with UI

Samsung and oneplus rolling out the update to their phones just this month

not wanting to be left behind HMD global has now released Android Pie

yet another one of its devices the nokia 5.1 plus the announcement was made

by hmd chief product officer Juho Sarkis who further announced that

the update includes the new pro camera for the mid-range phone this feature

made its debut on nokia Android phones with the Nokia 8 Sirocco and it's made

its way to some of the company's higher end phones since then in addition to

this nokia power user reports that the update brings the ability to enable or

disable the knotch on the nokia 5.1 plus which is likely to be welcome news for

those who don't like it what's interesting about this is that following

the release of Pie for the nokia 8 Arvika stated that the 8 Sirocco would be next

in line for the update however the nokia 5.1 plus is receiving the update first

and there's still no indication of the update will come to the company's

flagship hopefully that happens sooner rather than later
