Finally after a long time: Croatian Combat ration

Kavabon, coffee candy you will get in every IBO ration

200 grams of luncheon meat

pork and beef meat

this isn't commercial item you can buy, the can is clear with just this sticker on the top

Another item made just for the Armed Forces, green bean beef stew... my personal favorite in all 7 Croatian rations

Dessert chocolate

Eva sardines with vegetables

Instant black tea with lemon flavor enriched with vitamin C

2x 20 grams of honey

3 packs of crackers

banana chips

papaya

last item is instant soup with beef flavor

let's start with orange vitamin drink, best way is to open it is just to cut into the bag

papaya packed in nitrogen atmosphere bag

you get 3 paprenjak cookes

crackers, they are pack in this little box

pate best before date is two more years from now

luncheon meat looks like this

last item, sardines with vegetables "taste of the Mediterranean"

luncheon meat is one of the best in my opinion, if you like this kind of food

it's soft, but still firm enough you can't use this as a spread

chicken pate, I will try even this (I hate chicken)... you can see how gentle and soft it is

pate isn't bad, it has gentle taste that anyone could like

let's try this instant drink

it's not so sweet and flavorful like Cedevita, but it's very similar drink (this one is called Lerovita)

sardines are maybe too salty, but they are one of the best brand you can get and if you like seafood you will enjoy this very much

paprenjak, tasty and crunchy biscuit similar to ones you can find everywhere in Christmas times

papaya taste like it's packed yesterday, very nice snack for a field

this is the end of the first part, let's now continue with other items from this ration

this can needs to be heated up and in the meantime I can prepare the soup and a drink

you need 2dcl of hot water for instant soup

the main meal is already heated up

we need 3dcl of water for instant black tea

chocolate bloomed it seems

but that does not mean the chocolate went bad

so this green beans and beef stew is probably the best meal you can get in IBO rations

Podravka company makes this for Armed Forces and you can't buy this in supermarkets. This Type 6 is also one of the rarest Croatian rations

and this is probably the best canned food I have ever tryed

you can see potato, green beans and meat

there isn't much meat, but the ones you have are really nice chunks of beef

the taste is amazing and the spices they use for this are just enough

the sauce is some kind of tomato sauce, but it's not overpowering and acidic

too bad they don't sell these, if they did I would buy 10 cans right in this moment

great meal to have even at home, so imagine how good it is to have it somewhere in the field

in the soup you get some pasta also, you can see it at the bottom

maybe a bit too salty for my taste, but since it's instant soup it's not that bad

banana chips is still crunchy and you can taste that banana taste very lightly

instant tea is a bit too strong, I used less amount of water then I should

you can add 4 or 5 dcl of water with no problem, it's too strong and too sweet with recommended 3dcl's of water

chocolate isn't anything special, but if you like dark chocolates you will like this... the best by date passed two months ago

but as I already said this is still good chocolate and you can eat it without any fear...

last items are honey and Kavabon, if you haven't tried Kavabon's it's coffee flavored hard candy

you can find them in any Croatian rations

even the old ones (like CSO)

you will not get any coffee in Croatian rations, but instead they issue this

so if you like this kind of stuff... you will be hapoy

this is all for IBO type 6, with this phenomenal meal
