Have you ever heard of origami?

It's the ancient Japanese art of paper folding.

Often into compact shapes like animals, flowers, but also geometric forms...It can even be

used to decorate a wall!

You will need A4 paper.

About 30 to 40 pages in different colors.

and double-sided sticky tape.

That's it!

We can already start.

First of all fold the paper up diagonally from the bottom right to meet the top edge

– smooth to midpoint.

Fold the remaining piece to the right.

And really smooth down the fold firmly.

Then unfold it again

and then fold in the left-hand side piece again

This time the bottom edge is folded over that piece – unfold.

Then fold the paper over so the right hand edge meets the left one.

And press down firmly on the crease.

the unfold it again.

Now fold in all the corners so they meet in the middle.

And open it up again.

Then place the folded-over left-hand side onto the right one and fold a diagonal line

in the bottom half.

Open it up and press the diagonal line upwards to form a triangle.

Then fold down the tip of the triangle into the middle.

You can already see that a pyramid shape is emerging.

We carry on with the upper right hand corner.

Fold this up to the next crease.

This creates a flap to tuck in when the shape is finished.

And there's your pyramid.

Make about 40 of them.

Then add double-sided sticky tape to the surfaces of the shape.

Now you stick them on the wall.

You can choose the pattern that you form yourself.

Voilà – stand-out wall decor!

In this project the choice of colour is very important.

If you'd like a different color combination, simply look for color palettes online.

How To Make Sourdough Cinnamon Coffee Cake || Glen & Friends Cooking - Duration: 5:46.

Hey everyone welcome back! So in the in the near constant struggle to use up the

sourdough starter discard or cast off. And on the victory of an amazing banana

bread that I made last week. Today I'm gonna make a coffee cake with the

Sourdough starter. So in this bowl I have flour and I added to it salt, baking soda, and

cinnamon. Give that a stir, and now I'm going to put in some nutmeg. Freshly

grated nutmeg, because I think nutmeg and cinnamon just go together really well. It

would work excellent in this cake. Great! So give that another mix just to bring

everything together. And now we'll move on to the butter, and the butter just

goes in. We'll give that a really quick cream with the hand blender. Once

the butter has had that initial creaming, in goes sugar and cream those together

completely. Next in is a little bit of vanilla and one egg. Just continue

creaming that until it's fully combined.

Now it's time for the sourdough starter. This is starter that I need to feed

today and instead of just throwing it away...

like I probably would have done today because I'm not baking bread. I'm gonna

use it. Now we put this into a cake. I'm giving it a stir first to homogenise it

and make sure that I de-gas it a little bit. Putting this in the cake, not for the

yeast, the yeast aren't going to give this any leavening I'm putting it in the

cake for the flavour. it's going in, in the place of sour cream, or some other sort

of sour acid component. So all of the flavours from the lactobacillus are

really gonna pump up the flavours in this cake. And it's gonna go a long way to

giving a really nice soft texture to the cake. So we'll just beat that in. Great so

that's it for the beater. And before I put the starter away for the night, I'm

going to feed it so that it's ready to go tomorrow when I'm going to bake some bread.

Next up I'm gonna make the topping before I mix these two ingredients

together, just so that I'm ready to sprinkle it on as soon as the leavening

agent starts to rise. So into this bowl goes brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and some

butter. And I'm just gonna squish that together with a fork. Once I've got that

to a nice consistency set it aside and I'll put the flour in a little bit at a

time and just mix it in with the spatula.

There you go. So into a 9x9 pan, this is a nonstick pan but I still put a little

bit of butter on the sides on the bottom and a little piece of parchment paper as

well, just to make sure that I can get it out. So smooth that out just a bit.

Give your spatula a bit of a scrape to

make sure that you get all the cake into the pan. And then sprinkle on the topping.

I'd spread it over the top a little bit after you sprinkle it on just

to make sure you get it even. Then into a preheated oven.

Let's give it a taste, that is really good.

You got that tang from the sourdough starter bringing in just that little bit

in the bottom. And then the topping has sunk into the cake and you've got like

really nice caramel bits in the middle. I think this would be really good

if you could put nuts it, like walnuts or pecans or pretty much any

kind of nut would go really well in this. You could change up the spicing quite a

bit, put in different warm spices just to kind of take it in a different direction.

And if you don't have sourdough starter, just use sour cream or yogurt, you'd come

to pretty much the same place. So I'm gonna finish my piece of cake. Thanks for

How to Make a Homemade Peppermint Mocha Foot Scrub - Great DIY Gift Idea! - Duration: 8:31.

Hi Kelli from FreebieFindingMom.com and today I'm going to share with you how to make a simple easy

DIY gift idea. That's perfect for most anybody on your holiday shopping list

And that is a homemade peppermint mocha foot scrub

So all you need and quite honestly all the ingredients is you're going to need you probably already have in your pantry at home

Maybe with the exception of peppermint essential oil, but all you will need to make this peppermint

Mocha foot scrub is one cup of your granulated sugar. You'll also need 1

Tablespoon of baking cocoa you need about 5 to 10 drops of your peppermint essential oil

and then lastly you'll just need about a third of a cup of melted coconut oil, so

What we're going to do to go ahead and get started making this is we're going to start with just our one cup of granulated

Sugar and I added that into a bowl down here and I'll show you I'll point the camera down here in a second

So all you like I said in here is just 1 cup of our granulated sugar now

I'm going to go ahead and melt our 1/3 of a cup of coconut oil

Which will probably take about I would say 15 to 20 seconds maximum in my microwave

So, let me just pop this in the microwave really quick

Now why that is melting

Oh just kind of give you a little background on why we're including the ingredients that we are for this foot scrub

Now we're using the granulated sugar because that is part of the exfoliant for our foot scrub

It is the granulars and the sugar are what's going to be a little bit rough against your feet

Which is going to help slough away some of those dead skin cells

Next we're using the coconut oil, which is what like I said, I'm melting right now in the microwave

I'll check it right here in a second, but we're using that melted coconut oil for a few reasons. Actually. I'll be right back

Perfect now we're using the melted coconut oil well one because it is incredibly moisturizing it just very hydrating to your skin

but coconut oil is also actually

Antibacterial and antifungal so that's another reason why it's great to incorporate into a foot scrub

So right now I'm gonna point the camera down just so you can see what I'm doing, but right now in our bowl

Hopefully I don't drop it off the tribe. Sorry for my hand there in our bowl here. Sorry, the lighting is really bright today

But here we just have one cup of our granulated sugar

Then we went ahead and our melted our coconut oil

which is just one third of a cup of coconut oil and we're pouring that on in with our granulated sugar and

Now we're going to add one tablespoon of baking cocoa

Get that here for us

So we have a tablespoon of baking cocoa that we will add here

Now this baking cocoa is we're not including it just because of the smell, you know

It has just that nice chocolaty cocoa smell, which is nice for the holidays, especially when you incorporate with peppermint oil

but we're adding the baking cocoa because

Cocoa powder actually has some really good properties that make it great for our skin believe it or not

Cocoa powder has been known to help with skin hydration

cocoa powder also can help with repairing skin cells and

Cocoa powder can provide a gentle exfoliation to our skin as well

So there's some health benefits to incorporating that cocoa powder

Not just that it has that nice, you know chocolaty cocoa smell to it

Which is like I say really a delicious combination when you incorporate that a peppermint essential oil as well

so once we get this incorporated, all we're going to do is

going to add our peppermint essential oils and

So here we have it. I think I probably put about I would say seven or eight drops in here now smells delicious and

That's all we do really so in here to make our peppermint. Mocha foot scrub was just one cup of our granulated sugar and

Five to ten drops of our peppermint oil a third of a cup of melted coconut oil and then one tablespoon of cocoa butter

I'm sorry not cocoa butter baking cocoa

So that's all that we did and then all I would do

Truthfully to give this as a gift is I would start from my hand here all we would do truthfully issues

I would add it to a mason jar to be honest with you

And so just kind of give you some perspective of how much this recipe will make

This recipe I made earlier. I easily packed full two or these four ounce jelly jars mason jars

I easily packed two of these and I still had some left over

so if you're giving it I had about this much left over so

Guys from perspective if you're giving it as a gift if you want to fill one of these mason jars

I think it was a little more than halfway full

So I would double the batch if you want to give the foot scrub in a larger mason jar

but if you want to just kind of

You know

Incorporate it maybe in part of a gift basket and give it in like these smaller 4 ounce jars you could easily pack full two

Jars, and then have some leftover

So that should give you some perspective of how many batches you have to make if you want to make multiple gift ideas

I love this foot scrub. Because like I said, it's great for teachers. It's great for co-workers for friends

Just especially if you're giving maybe a gift card with it or like I said

maybe you're making a gift basket of all kinds of you know, spa items or just kind of pampering items and

it is super simple to make and it's incredibly nourishing and moisturizing to your skin and

Are you ready? Freddie? Yeah. Okay, cool. Let's bake less, but we're not baking

But more moisturizing. So the first thing we're going to want to add by the way

These are the ingredients you're gonna need for this recipe. You're gonna need half of a cup of coconut oil

That's just wait. I'll sit just a minute, sweetie half a cup of coconut oil

You're also going to need two teaspoons of almond oil a tablespoon

of cocoa butter and then five drops of frankincense oil and five drops of your lavender essential oil and

You know moisturizers or microdermabrasion paste or body butters or your own deodorant or anything?

You're going to probably see that a lot of them use the same type of ingredients

A lot of them are based on like coconut oil

A lot of them will use like a beeswax or a cocoa butter for instance

so what I recommend doing is if you can buy your ingredients in bulk and really

Maximize your savings so buy them from Costco or you know, another wholesale store or the Amazon

Sometimes has really good prices on things like, you know, cocoa butter or beeswax or em in coconut oil

I've seen really good deals on Amazon for that, too

So I like I said

I recommend buying the product Brian the items you need for a lot of these recipes in bulk and really maximize your savings

All right. You ready? I know you're ready to get started. Okay, so

What we're gonna first add into our and like I said show and let me angle this down a little bit so they can see

What we're doing on here, sorry for my hand, but down here we have and we'll show you at the very end

we will show you at the very end what it looks like because if we're you're not gonna be able to see both us and

What we're making so I'll bring it up to the camera. But the first thing we're gonna add you wanna grab your coconut oil

First thing we're gonna add to our mixer is a half of a cup of coconut oil. Let me get this down a little bit

It's okay. Okay, go ahead and pour your coconut oil into here

and the reason for add all of its going in is a half a cup coconut oil and

You may need to spin for that because I got this right here this morning

But the the reason we're adding coconut oil is if you're not familiar with using coconut oil, it is incredibly nourishing to your skin

It's very very moisturizing. In fact, some people will use coconut oil just as a moisturizer in and of itself

What I would say just a minute what I will say, that is great

I love like I said using coconut oil for as a moisturizer, but in addition to that if you follow this recipe

we are including other ingredients like the cocoa butter and

your oils that are gonna give you additional benefits so like anti-aging benefits and

anti-aging and acne

Benefits as well and for active prevention benefits as well. So this recipe is not just for moisture rising your skin

It's also really good for treating your skin for other legs like anti-aging

Next and is going to add two teaspoons of almond oil go ahead two teaspoons of almond oil

And that almond oil is really good because it has a very light texture good job. Has it very light

Thank you a light texture which makes it really easily absorbed into your skin

And it also has been known almond oil to help delay the signs of aging

Okay, go ahead and carefully pour in your cocoa butter your cocoa butter here at me grab the spoon

Cocoa butter is also very very very moisturizing which is why we are including it in our homemade Beauty recipe here

today we are going to make apple jam

very easy way

to make apple jam we have taken 1 bowl sugar

1 big lemon juice

we have taken 1 kg shimla apple

you can take any apple but in shimla apple has less waxing

now we will cut it

we will remove the seeds and other extra stuff

if you wish you can remove the peel

but we have not removed the peel so the natural color will come in jam

we will cut it in small pieces

we have cut all the apple now put it in one pot

we will add 2 cup water

we will keep it in stove with full flame

cover it for the 10 min

10 min is over we will check now

using ladle we will press the apple if its getting pressed softly, that means apple is ready

we will press apple by ladle

now we will mash it with masher

apple was juicy that why too much juice came out

to make it thick we will keep the flame high

you can see its mashed properly

now we will filter it

if you feel headache on filtering then remove the peel

by removing the peel its not required to filter

but in our case we will have remove the peel from pulp so filtering is required

we have filtered the pulp now its clear, no seed and no peels

now we will keep it again in stove with full flame

we will add 1/4 teaspoon food color

mix it well

if you like more color then you can increase or decrease the color quantity

if you wish you can use the color or you can add beetroot while boiling

now we will add sugar

mix it well and we will cook till it gets thick

you can see bubble is coming

its getting started thick

you can see now its thick

to check we will put jam in one plate, you can see its transparent and thick

by this way you will know its ready

switch off the flame and keep it for get normal temperature.

jam is thick and cold now we will add lemon juice in it

by adding lemon juice, sugar will not get hard and jam will be transparent

so dont avoid to add the lemon juice its very much required

now we will take it our in one jar

we have taken out the jam in one bowl and keep rest of the jam in jar

by keeping this in fridge you can eat till one month with bread, chapati, paratha or any other dish

you can see its thick and it has natural color and tasty in eating

you can make it at home so easily not required to buy from market

But right now we're to go ahead and get started and show you just how simple

And easy it is to make your very own acne treatment recipe at home in just simply minutes

Alright, so all you need you want to tell what we need for our recipe?

Just okay first we need a one and only Oh ten drops of lemon essential oil. That's right. Very good. You remember that? Okay

Ten drops of lavender essential oil

The biggest bottle we can find for this and ten drops of tea tree oil

So what you'll need you'll need those three oils

Plus you will need about a quarter of a cup of coconut oil and then show the mason jar

We're probably going to use ice. It's about a 4 ounce side

so first things what we're gonna do is we're gonna take our quarter of a cup of coconut oil and we're gonna add it to

Alright, so what we're gonna do is we're just gonna put air a cup of oil into our little mason jar here ready, honey

why we use coconut oil a lot in homemade beauty recipes is quite simply because it is so hydrating and moisturizing and

It's a really good base for a lot of homemade beauty recipes right in

So that was about like I say a quarter of a cup of coconut oil into our mason jar

Let me point this back up. Hopefully sorry about my hand there. So that was

Alright so that was a quarter of a cup of our coconut oil into our mason jar

Then what we're going to do is we're going to pop that into the microwave for about 10 to 15 seconds only to really kind

Of just soften the coconut oil before we incorporate our essential oils. So Anne say hi to Nana and all our friends out there. Why?

Huh, alright, so like I said, we have our coconut oil

We're in there now like I say about 10 seconds

It's really all we need to just kind of soften it we before we incorporate our essential oils. So stay here the magrav this

So what we have here is is the softened coconut oil in here not en. Are you ready to add your essential oils?

Yeah, okay, so that laugh I need lemons. So Ian's gonna start now we have melted while we stop it

Teri, hi teri, thanks for joining

But so we softened of our coconut oil and now Ian's gonna add you need help and hand drops of lemon essential oil

So the reason we're adding lemon essential oil I could get it or you got it

We're adding lemon because lemon is really good to help reduce acne is also very nourishing and very it's very fact that lemon battle

Yeah, okay. It's also very nourishing for her skin lemon also can be hydrating as well

And it also has some antioxidant are not antioxidant anti-aging properties to it

So that's what I love about a lot of these homemade Beauty recipes is they oftentimes will serve dual purposes

So this is a homemade acne treatment, but you also are going to get some anti-aging benefits and with the other essential oils

you'll get some anti-inflammatory benefits -

If you suffer from any age spots, I wouldn't I highly encourage you to check out lavender essential oil

It's also lavender is also an anti-inflammatory and it also has

Antioxidant properties careful with that and it helps ease any skin conditions. So if you are someone who has any sort of like

anti-inflammatory issue like hey Joe up some

Okay, so did you put ten in there yeah, okay

So if you have any skin condition it can help with that and lavender can also help with anti aging as well

So again, you're going to anti-aging benefit as well in your in your acne treatment

All right. So now we're gonna stir them but just wait. So yeah

okay, that is your tea tree, Selassie and is going to add 10 drops of our tea tree essential oil a huge bottle and

This one's bigger than this one, okay. Do you know why that is?

Okay, let me tell them because look at you put your drops in there and let me tell them so that's a good point actually

In so the bottle that he has opening now is for teach me because that does not come in the premium starter kit

So this is a 15 ml bottle

So this has many more drops than what you're going to get in the premium starter kit bottles

Which are 5 ml could have about 80 drops. So

So you're go ahead go ahead and add your 10 drops of your tea tree right now

And then we'll go ahead and stir it up

All right, so it's adding our 10 drops of tea tree just 10 of our tea tree oil and tea tree is great

It's really good for acne. Tea Tree is also up and sorry it's okay extra benefit. It's fine

So it's also antibacterial and tea tree is also

Anti-inflammatory. So if you have any sort of skin conditions like eczema or something like that

You're gonna want to check out tea tree essential oil. It's really good for those sort of like I say skin conditions

You're also gonna get some anti-aging benefits as well

So in all of these oils meaning lemon lavender and tea tree, you're getting the benefit of having, you know acne treatment

But they also help with anti aging and a couple of them help with anti inflammatory issues

So if that's a concern for you, okay. Thank you. All right

so yeah, it's gonna go ahead you want to go ahead and stir up but

It's yours. That's why you're serious. So he's gonna stir it up now. I will say um

I'll point down here really quick, please

You love the smell. Oh

It's not work that's not horrible

Right, okay, so that's good. Okay. So right now we've softened it right because we put it in the microwave

so what I would do then next is I

would encourage you could go ahead and put it in the refrigerator for a little bit and to go ahead and kind of

Harden it

I'll get it to set a little bit you don't to harden but really kind of set it up a little bit

But we had to soften it so that we could easily incorporate our essential oils

So the way you're going to use this and now mind you ours is not set yet the way you're going to use it

He's gonna wash his hands the way you're going to use

This is you're just gonna dab it on wherever the your acne spot is. Do you want to put it on me?

right now you want to okay so you can go ahead and I know like I said

This is not set up at this point yet because we haven't put in a fridge

But just to kind of give you an idea of how you apply it

So like I said in this recipe

all you needed was a quarter of a cup of coconut oil which we went and put in our four ounce mason jar we pop

It in the microwave for about 10 to 15 seconds, and then we incorporate our essential oils

We needed lemon lavender and tea tree lemon and lavender coming your premium starter kit

But the tea tree is one you'll have to get and I'll drop the link down there for that as well

Tea trees are really good very useful oil to have on hand if you have

Carefully apply this to my face, right so but it's a spot treatment for acne. Go ahead and this is not set up yet

So it's gonna be a little bit more running than what we would like it to be but that's okay. I mean it's still effective

How To Make An Easy Beaded Bracelet: Jewelry Making Tutorial - Duration: 7:18.

To make this bracelet we've got some beads. We have 27

Ultramarine blue beads here and these are six millimeters in size.

And then we've got 10 copper nugget beads. These are darling little 2 millimeter beads.

For findings, we have copper findings to match our nugget beads. We have a magnet clasp.

We have clamshell bead tips and we have 2 crimp beads.

And then we're going to use bead stringing wire for this project. You can use copper colored bead stringing wire.

We're using gold because it isn't going to show so it doesn't really matter what color it is.

And we've got 19 strand bead stringing wire.

For tools we're going to use wire cutters and chain-nose pliers.

To make the bracelet

the first thing you might do is cut a piece of bead stringing wire

eight-and-a-half inches long and then we'll put the clasp on one end. And to do that

We're going to feed on a clamshell bead tip

so the clamshell bead tip is a little clam with a little hole in the bottom and

We're gonna feed the wire up through the clam through the hole in the clam

We're just gonna let that

sit there and

Then we're gonna feed on a crimp bead and a crimp bead is a little piece of metal. That's meant to be crimped

I'm gonna feed that on

Next what we want to do is crush the crimp bead or crimp the crimp bead onto the end of the wire

so to do that, I'm

Grasping the crimp bead. I don't need it to be inside the clam. Shell. Yeah, I'm gonna come out here so you can see it

I'm gonna press that crimp bead closed

onto the wire

And I'm gonna give it a couple squeezes. I want to make sure it's really on there. So I'm kind of tug at it

Yeah, it's on there real good

So next what you might do is slide the clam shell up over that crimp bead. It's gonna hide that crimp bead and

We're just gonna close the clam shell by pressing it gently, you know one press too hard

It's metal and it's hollow and you don't want to dent it. Let me just give it a little squeeze like that

And that's one end, but the sort of wires sticking out. I'm going to trim that wire with the wire cutters

It's gonna give it a little snip

Just snip that right off and

Make sure that the clam shells close like that and then we can go ahead and put one side of the clasp

Onto that clam shell and to do that. I'm going to separate the magnet clasp. We love magnet clasp

We do all this work. You don't want your bracelet to fall off

so I'm just going to slide the magnet clasp into that open loop on the clam shell and

then I'm gonna close that little loop up you can buy these clam shell bead tips with a closed loop here if

You're worried that it's going to open up on you. We have never had that happen, but it could happen

So you can buy it with the closed loop. You'll just want to add a jump ring in there

to attach the magnet clasp

So that's on there nice and secure

One end of the bracelet is done and now we can do the beads

And this is a basic bead stringing project. Which means we're just going to slide on the beads in the order

we want them on the bracelet and the pattern of this bracelet is going to be one copper nugget and

Then three of these pretty ultramarine

round beads

You could do this with any

beads, you want the round beads look particularly good on this bracelet and

The copper nuggets. We like how they're smaller

than the

Round beads. They just look nice together. So once we have on one nugget and three round beads, we're gonna feed on another nugget

so here goes a

nugget bead

followed by three of

My ultramarine beads

One

two

Three this is a great project to make as a gift because it's super wearable

And this blue color we liked it because it's got kind of a denim feeling so it really has sort of a neutral

Look, but it's still bright enough to be kind of jazzy

so I've got

Two beads on there and yet another one

keep the pattern going and this one with these six millimeter beads and

The two millimeter copper nuggets we wound up

With a bracelet that has a finished length of seven and a half inches, and that's pretty standard

But if you want it shorter you could leave off a couple beads

and if you want it longer you could cut your wire a little bit longer and

Add another set of beads

I've got two more of my blue beads

The hardest part is finding the hole in the bead right and

Then here's my last nugget

So the next thing we want to do is finish the end and to do that. We're going to slide on

Our clam shell bead tip

And

then slide on our

Crimp bead, they're small so that they can fit inside the clamshell

When I do the other side I did the crimp bead all the way out at the end of the wire

But for this side, I want this the beads on here nice and tight. I want them all pushed up against each other

not so tight that it is curling in on itself, but I don't want a lot of gaps like this gap eNOS

so I'm gonna push that together and then I'm gonna reach inside with my chain nose pliers and

press that crimp bead closed inside the clamshell and

I want to tug on a little bit make sure it's closed it is and

Then I can close that clamshell over the crimp bead

If you want, you can put a drop of jewellers glue inside here as a little added security

How to Make All Natural Homemade Grapefruit Face Scrub for Acne Using Young Living Essential Oils - Duration: 11:47.

Pamper someone that you care about with a face scrub now

I'm going to show you today how to make a homemade face scrub and then I will also share with you

I would say my favourite product as far as space crafts are concerned

So if you go if you prefer more the DIY route

Then I will be happy to share that recipe with you

So like I say without further ado

I'm gonna go ahead and get started sharing with you a homemade face scrub if you've been over to freebie finding mom

You've probably seen that

I have shared a numerous different face, rubs and body scrubs

The one today that I'm going to share with you is for a grapefruit face scrub

This grapefruit face scrub is specifically really for people with any sort of acne issues

But you don't absolutely have to have acne issues at all to uses quite honestly anybody could really benefit from this space crab

It's just in the face scrub. It has two essential oils that are really good at helping with treating acne

So that's why I consider this more of an acne based face scrub

But like I say anybody is more than welcome to use this it is like I say

It's called the grapefruit face scrub and to make this space rub. All you need is

Really simple ingredients you need a half of a cup of sugar

You need two tablespoons of coconut oil that you're gonna melt which I've already melted mine here and I'll show you in a second

You also need three essential oils. You'll need frankincense

You'll also need your tea tree oil and you'll also need grapefruit and if you want it's kind of optional

But you can include a drop of red food coloring to give the scrub the kind of a nice pinky look, you know

Since it's a grapefruit face scrub, but that's more of an optional ingredient if you want, so let's go ahead and get started

So the first thing you're gonna wanna do and I'll tilt this down so you can kind of see what we're doing here

the first thing we're to do is we're going to add our

Two tablespoons of coconut oil and that is what isn't here and I melted that already in the microwave

So as you probably have seen if you see any my DIY Beauty recipes

We use coconut oil a lot because it is incredibly hydrating and very very moisturizing

So in here are the two tablespoons of coconut oil that we want had it melted

I melted in the microwave for I think it took about 30 seconds. So I would say depending on your microwave

It'll take 30 to 45 seconds to melt yours. So in here is two tablespoons of the melted coconut oil next to that ingredient

We're going to add in our half of a cup of sugar, you know, just take that sugar and go ahead and add that in

We'll stir this in once this is combined is when we will add our essential oils

now what I was and the reason we're adding sugar is because that is really what's going to help with the exfoliation that

The rough sea of sugar particles are going to help you just Slough away some of those dead skin cells

Which is what we're trying to achieve with our face scrub. So this is starting to get incorporated and

Next we're going to add our three essential oils. The first oil that we're going to add is

Grapefruit oil because this is a grapefruit face scrub. We're going to need about three to five drops of our grapefruit essential oil

There we go, so there we added our three to five drops of grapefruit oil

And the reason we add grapefruit essential oil is because you put its note

It's so good for a myriad of things but especially grapefruit is really good for

For acne. So that's why since like I said, this is more of an acne based face scrub. We're adding the grapefruit essential oil

It's good for acne. It also helps with reducing inflammation

the next oil that we'll add is one drop of frankincense essential oil the frankincense oil here it um,

If you probably may want to know this but frankincense oil is one of the more expensive oils

so I love that they include it in the premium starter kit because it is a

Tremendous value to be able to pick it up and get it in that kit

so we add frankincense because frankincense is really good for basically helping with elasticity helping with the strength of your

Skin helping with the tone and texture as well. So it is really good for your skin as well and the last

Essential oil that we will add is our tea tree tea tree essential oil is also helps with acne

so we've got grapefruit to help with acne and we have our tea tree oil which helps with acne and

We'll just add one drop of tea tree oil and like I said

It helps with acne acne and it also helps with soothing your skin and reducing inflammation as well

So those are the three essential oils that we add to our sugar and our coke

Well, we'll get those combines nicely

And what I will say is like I said once I have these oils mixed in here really well

I'll show you more specifically what this looks like, but once these oils are added in there, it smells so good

Then you can add your one drop of food coloring your red food coloring if that's of interest to you

Since this scrub is just for me. I'm not gonna add the food coloring today

But if I was giving this as like a gift, I would say I would go ahead. Oh, hi, Ben

Thanks for joining. If I was giving this as a gift, I would absolutely add that red food coloring

So let me show you kind of just what this really the texture is

Here we go. And it mean it's basically it's your sugar right? That's your exfoliation

And that's really what you're buying when you buy a lot of you know, scrubs face scrubs or body scrubs

So this is really what it is. It's just nice

What are you making today? I'm making a homemade face scrub. It's specifically it's a grapefruit face scrub

It really helps with just exfoliating your skin and basically helping make your skin smoother and softer

So let me come up here and turn out to get the camera all messy. But anyways, so that's pretty simple, right?

I mean

All you needed to add was your two tablespoons of coconut oil we melted that then we added a half of a cup of sugar

And then three suns oils and that is I'd be willing to bet as good as most

bodies or face scrubs that you're to buy in stores and it's incredibly inexpensive to make and as you saw it just took just a

Few minutes to whip it up, right? So I would go ahead and to use it

Recipe. Yep, Oh GM you the recipe sure actually, you know

What I'll do with my hands are a little bit cleaned off as soon as I hop off this video Ben

So, like I said, I will drop the recipe actually not just for this grapefruit face scrub

I will share with you another face form I have on 3b fighting mom and that's for a strawberry face scrub, too

I love that one as well

so if you were giving this space scrub as a gift the first thing I would do then after I whip this recipe together of

course, I would be sure to add that one drop of red food coloring because like I said

It just gives it a little oh, you're welcome

And it just gives it a really pretty appearance and you know

If you're giving this as a gift all you really have to do take this face scrub

Put it in a cute little mason jar tie a little ribbon on it

Maybe put a gift tag on it and you are good to go. It'd be great

Like I said just by itself or if you're including it like for a teacher gift you could give it to

neighbors friends co-worker

I wouldn't maybe put a gift card with it a box of chocolates or some cookies or something

And that is a perfect DIY gift. I would think and like I say very inexpensive and useful incredibly effective

So that is our great face scrub

It is great for obviously for the exfoliating your skin

They mean you're making your skin feel soft and smooth afterwards

It helps with removing dead skin off the surface of your dead skin cells off the surface of your skin

Thus leaving your skin feeling really soft and smooth. So that's it's the apricot seed powder is really what you want

Is your main ingredient in and good exfoliation a good exfoliator?

So, like I said, I love this product use this all the time. You used it for years now

Highly highly highly recommended

so there's two options for you if you want to pamper yourself or someone that you care about you can absolutely go the route of

Homemade as you saw it was very quick and easy to whip this up

I can go ahead and put this on my face

Like I say after you wash your face then go ahead and just you know massage in the face scrub

Leave it on as far as how long I leave on my face scrubs to be probably more information than you need

But basically I I put it on before I go ahead and shave my legs and oh, hi, Stephanie. Thanks for joining

Put the face scrubs on my face right before I start shaving my legs in the shower

And then when I'm done shaving is when I wash them off, so that's probably too much information

But I would say maybe leave him on like five to seven minutes or something if that

But like I said, you can leave them on longer

But that's kind of how long I tend to leave my scrubs on

So, like I said, you can go ahead and go the whole main route

It takes just a few minutes to whip up

If you don't have time for the homemade, I highly highly highly highly recommend young livings face scrub. It's our satin face grub

Also, I want to make sure that I tell you that in this face scrub to not just do they have apricot seed powder

But there's peppermint essential oil in here and why that is great is first off it gives it that nice minty smell

How to Make an Essential Oil Roll-On Blend with Young Living Essential Oils - Duration: 13:59.

Today I'm going to show you how to make a roll-on blend using your Young Living Essential Oils now

If you aren't familiar with what a roll-on is it's basically

A bottle like this with a stopper that

Has a little roller bottle at the top and a cap

Now I'll show you and the reason you're gonna want to make some of these is because it just makes putting on your essential oils

even easier

Now there's no problem and using your oil straight ala bottle and that's how I use them a lot of times just like this I

Using straight on the bottle but a lot of times it

also

Does make it easier to make some of these roller

bottle ball

roller bottle blends and then you can apply them like I say even easier to your body so I'm gonna show you how quickly and

Easily you can make some of these blends yourself and then want to share four of some of my favorite roll-on blends with you

In just a second so like I said it just makes applying your essential oils a little bit easier

so

Let's go ahead and get started the first thing you're gonna want to pick up to make any of these blends is you're gonna want

to get my bottles from Amazon you can get them I know in other places but

I

I like Amazon they have a good variety and they're not

expensive at all

So what I will do is if you don't have anything and when you order these roll-on bottles and I'll put drop a link for

You so you can check out it's my affiliate link I'll drop a link down here and you can check out exactly what I'm talking

About because you'll be buying the bottle and I'll come with a little stopper

which has the rollerball on top and then they'll have a cap in as well and

so let's go ahead and get started showing you exactly how easy it is to make some of these roll-on blends and

Let's go ahead and get started so all you're gonna do is you're gonna want to take you are a little bottle that comes like

I said you get it at a health food store wherever you go or

or your local store

or like I say on Amazon get your bottle and then the first plan I'm gonna tell you about is called sweet dreams and

Sweet dreams it's just to help promote a good night's sleep you know if you're having any issues

Sleeping I highly recommend making this blend and all you're gonna do is you're gonna take

Ten drops of your stress away, which as you know comes in your premium starter kit you're gonna take ten drops of this now

I'm not gonna make this exact blend because I don't need this because

I actually sleep well I just um

getting myself to bed early enough is my problem not so much falling it's like you're gonna take your essential oil and you're gonna just

Put it right into your roller bottle like that

Okay, you're gonna put your drops right in there like that I'm a little bit shaky there either

You're gonna put your ten drops okay? I'm not gonna make the complete thing because

I don't need this blend is you're gonna put your 10 drops of stress away in your roller bottle

next you're gonna add 15 drops of your lavender oil okay and

Then you'll do the exact same thing or just drop your 15 drops of your lavender oil

Right in and this one's probably about empty yeah I probably grab the one that's about empty but do you understand what I'm saying so

there is

pretend that's your 10 drops of stress away and your 15 drops of lavender

Next what you're gonna do is you're gonna fill the rest of your bottle up with a carrier oil

So the reason we add carrier oils is basically it helps kind of dilute the essential oil

it just helps if you have any concern about any skin

Sensitivities so it's a good, idea to use a carrier oil like

I say to just um make it less likely that you would have any skin sensitivity

what you're going to do is you're gonna use your choice of carrier oils I personally have today a

This is a grapeseed oil you can got

I got at Walmart you

can use like a

fractionated coconut oil you can use a lot of different oils if you Google carrier oils on Amazon you'll see a lot of examples of

Different oils that you are welcome to use

So what I would do then is after you've dropped your ten drops of stress away and your 15 chops of lavender for this

combination in I would take my carrier oil and

I would just put my carrier oil right in and I'm not gonna use this because I need this for other or

Blend but what I will tell you is is I would fill it all the way to the top then with your carrier oil so

Put in your essential oils first and then fill the rest of your bottle with a carrier oil

Once you have this filled up. You're down you're going to take the stopper that you got from Amazon or wherever

You're gonna put that on top now what I'll tell you is a lot of the rollers that I bought

Now this looks like it's on it's not 100% on I have to get a push

to get the top there and you'll hear a little click

but um but anyways you'll

Just so you know it might take a little bit of pushing to make sure that the stopper is all the way on and then

you have your roller bottle that you can easily quickly and easily apply your essential oils with I especially love them like I say when

I'm applying them to my face I think it's just a little bit easier than just applying them straight out of the bottle

But there's no problem with applying it out of the bottle it's just I find that rollers

Using these roller bottles just make it even more efficient in applying them and like I say I love making rollers for friends and family

who are curious like I say with trying to sensual oils and

you can put just if you want you can grab a roller bottle and put all of one like just put 10 drops of

If they want to try that and then fill it with a carrier oil

Or like I said like we just made with that sweet dreams blend you

can make it blend in one and give it to a family member that way

especially with the holidays coming up I think it's just a really good idea to

Like I said you know like a cousin or an aunt or somebody who you maybe don't get to see all the time who's probably

Curious about essential oils but you weren't really sure if they want to get started

Make them a few roller bottles let them go ahead and try them and see what they think before they have to no go ahead

And make that investment in purchasing a kit so that was sweet dreams like

I say that was ten drops of stress away and 15 drops of lavender and the reason we use those too common in

Combination is as we know stress away is really good for relaxation and also help just promoting and good night's sleep

lavender 15 drops of lavender because again it's very calming and it too can help with promoting a good night's sleep so the

Combination of the two is a really good combination for just like I said getting a more restful night's sleep the next blend I want

to share with you is called happy tummy

Oh, by the way if you're wondering where to apply that sweet dreams blend you could

apply it a number of different places I would probably apply a sweet dreams to like my forearms here or

My chest area or neck areas where I would probably be applying sweet dreams

now the next one that I want to share with you is happy tummy that's if you have any sort of stomach issues their belly

issues for that you're going to want to combine ten drops of your peppermint ten drops of your peppermint into your roller bottle and

Then you're gonna want to also combine about 20 drops of your digest a ghin you're gonna have every single one of these oils that

you need and

your premium starter kit so if you're concerned that you won't have all

Have more than enough oils in your premium starter kit to make all of these blends and much more

So you're gonna take your ten drops of your peppermint and 20 drops of your diet rise and then fill the rest of your roller

bottle up with your carrier oil

where I would apply that I would apply that to my stomach my tummy area if that if I have any issues with that I

would

also use it on children so if they're complaining about any sort of belly issues I

would make this combination and ten drops of peppermint the reason

We use papperman is as we know peppermint is really good for digestive system support the reason

We would use dyes is digestive eyes digestive system support it

also

Helps cleanse your digestive system so for like I say for a digestive system that is a very powerful combination

peppermint and dyes the next plan I will share with you it's called deep breath if

You or the kids for instance or having any sort of congestion or difficulty just breathing maybe they've caught something

Try this blend of deep breath what you're gonna want to combine is

ten drops of your lemon

You're also gonna want to have fifteen drops of Raven and then five drops of your peppermint oil

Okay

The reason we're using lemon is as you probably remember

Lemon is really good for your immune system support and that's what you're gonna need so if the kids or if you have any sort

of nasal congestion and you're trying to open up some of those nasal

Passages I would use this blend I would probably put it on my chest and maybe my neck area

and Rayven is really great for it hoping open up the nasal passages it's really good for respiratory support Raven

Also feels very cooling and refreshing to the skin, when you apply it to your chest and neck area

Which is also can be great like I said you're having any respiratory

Issues and then the last oil peppermint peppermint as we as we talked before is really good for a

digestive system support and why that matters when you have any sort of congestion in your nasal passages is your digestive

Digestive system impacts everything in your body so if it's not operating properly and efficiently

that it's going to have a negative impact on everything including your immune system so you're gonna need that getting that immune system

support from your lemon oil you're gonna get that respiratory support from your Raven and you're gonna get that

digestive support from peppermint

So that's the really good combination and it's called deep breath that is a very good combination for like

I say if you're just having some real

Congestion or the kids are and I would put that like I say I would put that on my chest and on my neck area

the next one I would primarily on my chest you can put on the neck but I would definitely put it on really put on

Quite a bit all over the chest area

the next blend is

The last blend that I want to share with you it's one of my faves it's called be well be well is a blend that

I would use year-round but especially this time of year be well I'll hi Ben thanks for joining

Be well is the blunt is a blend that

even if you aren't feeling well you could use it even if you're feeling great you can still use it I

a lot of times like with my son if I I try to keep it on Amal time

but if not like if I hear him like coughing or sniffling

I'm like

Oh Lord you need to get I need

To use this blend on you this is a really powerful blend because it has a lot of immune system and it allowed me instant

Support the first thing you're gonna want to add is 15 drops of one of the best oils and that is your thieves oil

Okay

you're gonna want 15 drops of your thieves oil in a roller you're gonna then want ten drops of your frankincense and

Then you're gonna want five drops of your lemon oil

five drops of your lemon and then you're gonna fill the rest of your roller up

With your roll-on bottle up with your carrier oil that you choose it's a reason

We are adding the thieves of course I mean it does so many good things but especially for your immune system support

Thieves is great for immune system support and also provides respiratory support so well so if you weren't feeling well or the kids aren't feeling

Well, or even if they are like I say it's just a really good blend I would probably put this

Especially for kids like if they don't love the smell I would put it on their feet

I don't mind the smell so I could use on my forearms or chest or neck area but

I do tend to want to put this one on my feet and on my son's feet

So that's where I would probably apply this one but like

I say you're thieves you know it's gonna be great for your immune system support and your respiratory support among other things

Frankincense such a powerful oil is good for so many good things but it, also provides an

immune boost we need frankincense can

Also help just ease digestion and as we know to having a really efficient and properly working

Digestive system is very important in staying healthy and also frankincense is

Its antiseptic and it's a disinfectant so that what that basically is important for is hopefully it'll help our body kill off

Some germs so your to make sure that you have your 10 drops of frankincense in that roll-on - and then you don't have five

Drops of your lemon oil and as we talked before?

Lemon oil is just really what's good for number of things but one of the main things for this blend it's really good to help

With your immune system so every single one of those oils is going to help with the immune system

Which is really important?

Which is why the blend is called bewell?

Because you want to make sure that you have a really strong immune system to fight off any sort of germs coming your way

So those are my four blends that I love the most and then I'm happy to share with you if you have any questions on
