Back Pain Treatment After a Car Accident | Accident Clinic in NE Portland - Duration: 2:23.
- Hey guys, this is Dr. Carl Baird at Evolve Performance Healthcare.
Today we're gonna talk about what you need to do to recover from an injury sustained
in a car accident here in Portland, Oregon.
The first thing to do, is to open a PIP claim.
So what PIP stands for it's Personal Injury Protection.
It's part of your auto insurance policy and it covers you for up to 100% of medical expenses
after a car accident and so a couple things to keep in mind with this is one, again, it's
through your auto insurance policy, so this isn't health insurance and two, even if you
weren't at fault in the accident you open it up through your own auto insurance policy
and then they'll seek reimbursement from the at fault party.
So, it doesn't raise your rates, they get reimbursed 100% but just keep in mind you
have to open it through your own auto insurance policy.
Now, the second thing to do is to schedule an appointment with a medical provider whether
that be an MD, a chiropractor, or a PT.
This is important for two reasons.
The first being that studies have shown that people who receive care early on after a car
accident experience greater long-term results in terms of pain and disfunction after a car
accident.
So, it's really important to get in there early as you all know a lot of times in a
car accident the pain doesn't come on right away.
It's the two to three days later and the second reason we wanna get in early is again, it
has to do with the insurance which as a healthcare provider we are advocate to get the necessary
care and the longer we have in between when the car accident happened and that initial
intake, the harder it is for us to advocate that these injuries were sustained in the
car accident and not caused by something else which is again what the insurance company
wants to prove.
So again, it's really important to get in early and the third is to receive care.
So again, there's a lot of different types of care that help the body heal.
Here at Evolve Performance Healthcare, what we focus on is full body chiropractic care,
manual therapy and rehabilitation with the goal of again, reducing pain quickly and effectively,
two, restoring range of motion, and more importantly, is building that strength and stability to
prevent long-term complications from a car accident.
So there you have it.
Those are the three things you need to do if you're involved in a car accident here
in Oregon and we're happy to help if you go ahead and follow the link down below, or give
us a call, 503-954-2495.
Thanks for watchin'.

Just 8$! Hybrid Car vs Cyclist Ultimate Challenge! Who Will Go Further?? - Duration: 23:55.
[German Washing Powder]
This is Andrew...
The king importer of American pickups and German washing powder.
Watch out, dude!
What da ....!!!
Bring mi this guy in the gray shirt!
I didn't quite know, what was going on here,
but I had a strange feeling, that I won't be able to buy any washing powdder in Cracow anymore...
I've had enough of you, cyclists!
You cut us off and want to be first everywere.
You create the traffic jam!
I just realized the trial ahead of me...
Let's make a clean challenge.
We get the fuel for 8 bucks,
you buy the food for the same amount of money.
If you cycle, on this grub only,
less miles, than we on our fuel,
Then you and your lousy fellow cyclist GET OUT of my city!
You're gonna compete with my best man.
He will make you suffer.
His name is Zachar.
Oh shoot, Zachar drives the Prius!
The next morning, we both arrived ready to fight...
After greeting each other coldheartedly,
and my body weight check,
we both wanted to GO!
And there was an amazing road ahead of us,
leading through very hilly area of Malopolska.
110 km / 69 miles one way,
with 1500 meters of climbing,
and it was the climbing, that was going to challenge the hybrid vehicle,
and my muscles...
Let's do this!
Well, it's time to hit the road.
Let's zero the trip on the computer.
You will see here not only the distance,
but also the money we spend on the fuel.
It the displays the amount in Euros.
So, let's go.
There is a climb, after climb here...
Fortunately, after each climb, there is a descend too ;)
The very first meters took us up the steep hill.
We had the consumption even 20l/100km (11,5 mpg).
But it starts to go back down now.
It's below 8l/100km (29mpg) already.
It should be 5l/100 km (47mpg) soon.
And finally down to 3l/100km (78mpg).
Because that should be the average fuel consumption on this road.
In order to minimize the fuel consumption,
we need to save as much energy, as possible.
And so we make sure, the seat heating is off.
So far the air condition is off too.
There is 9 degrees Celsius outside ( 48 Fahrenheit).
We drive in the Eco mode.
Which you switch on here...
We can always see the chosen mode on the display.
We've made 2 km so far.
The fuel consumption went down from 20l/100km to 2,2l/100km | (107 mpg).
And it's only the beginning.
I just notice the first problem...
I didn'd know, that there was going to be so much climbing here.
Some 1500 km of ascends.
It's not something I can't make,
but it increases my calorie intake dramatically.
And each calorie costs me some money...
At least the view is beautiful.
As you already know, we have 30 Polish Zloty to spend (8$) on fuel.
But a fraction of our budget, we're gonna spend on some food too.
Because we need to eat as well.
So far we've burned the fuel for some 70 cents.
the climb...
uhh...
We got to Daniel's wheel on 33rd kilometer (20,5 miles).
He's not having it easy now,
pedalling up the hill.
We can see him, pushing it hard.
I have no idea on how much he's been eating and drinking so far.
We've burned 90 cents, according to the info on our computer display.
I'm gonna follow him for a while,
protecting him against some speeding drivers on this road.
But this is not my pace,
so I have to overtake him soon.
I would also overtake some cars...
It's time for me to visit some shop,
and grab some money :)
In order to squander some bucks for the bars...
An interesting move...
Won't this purchase make the cyclist win?
My first purchase:
the water, with as much electrolytes as possible,
and my calories.
For the "banana calories" I paid 1$ (1 kg).
1 such a banana equals about 115 calories.
And here I've got not only water,
but also all the electrolites, so that I won't get any cramps.
If I mess up my drinking and eating within the first 2 hours, then I'm done!
I am already over 1 hour into the race.
I must remember to drink a lot and eat regularly.
And pay close attention, to how much I spend on EACH calorie.
We stopped in Łopanow town for some shopping and a small snack.
And it's a good moment to explain to you, why did we actually choose Toyota Prius for this challenge.
Why not hybrid Auris,
which would also make the jobe done for us.
Well, Prius is even more fuel efficient, than the Auris.
One of the reasons is it's aerodynamics.
This new generations has the drag coefficient of cd 0,24.
Even at the speed of over 50 km/h (31mph) it creates so little drag,
so that our fuel consumption has been 2,5l/100km (94 mpg) for a long time.
Now it's quite stable at below 3l/100km (78 mpg).
And so, with such a results we can win this challenge.
My second problem, I haven't thought of is the need to pee,
as I'm gonna be riding much longer, that 3 hours.
Maybe seven hours...
That shouldn't be any problem.
There is lots of bushes on the way...
But my aero cycling kit doesn't have the zipper at the front.
It's got a rear zipper.
That means I'm able to unzip it.
But I won't put it back on myself...
Can somebody help me with the zipper??
Oh, thanks so much!
It's so much better now.
After a couple of stops, my filming crew,
which is my brother-in-law Matthew,
knew very well, what to do...
...can somebody help me with the zipper?
In the meanwhile...
Oh shoot, it's not going that well anymore...
The consumption goes up to 3l/100 km (78 mpg).
Even 3,1/100 km (75,87 mpg).
It's been so nice to 2,5, 2,7, 2,9l/100km.
Just one larger hill and it's 3,1l/100 km now.
It's a disaster ;)
Cruising in Eco mode,
I can shortly reveal my winning plan for today.
I've already made a video about eco driving,
where I was explaining,
that the car should be as lite as possible,
and we were getting rid of any unnecessary weight from the car.
Today though we don't go that extreme.
Our boot is full of the video equipment ;)
And so we only focus on driving.
We don't drive to fast.
Our average speed should be around 50-60 km/h (31-37 mph).
And the second thing is to drive very smoothly.
Anticipating the situation on the road.
No hard acceleration, no hard braking.
And that flow on the road,
is our key to success, without creating traffic behind us.
Danny is probably pushing up the hill somewhere,
let's call him and find out, how he's doing...
The 2 meter - hybrid man is calling [Zachar is 2 meters tall]
Hello Danny!
Hi!
How are you doing?
I'm pushing up the hill...
That's what I thought.
It's like that here in Małopolska.
Do you at least burn more fuel on these bloody climbs?
Oh yes, it went up from 3,1 to 3,2 l/100 km (73,5 mpg).
You're kidding me!
Damn!
That's my car :)
So I'm gonna be pushing 300 km (186 miles).
Thanks a lot...
You're welcome ;)
At least turn on the air condition and listen to some music...
...you'll be more relaxed...
I'm charging wirelessly my phone :)
So we use some energy ;) I can also switch on seat heating...
OK, I'm switching on recuperation system in my calfs, see ya!
Take care!
We are have way through.
Not far from Rożnowskie Lake.
Wielogłowy town, that's were we make U-turn.
It's time to sum up our journey so far.
We've made 115 km (71 miles) burning the fuel worth over 4 bucks.
The average consumption 3,2 l/100 km (73 mpg).
The last part of the road was quite demanding.
Lots of hills made the vehicle burn more fuel.
The problem is, that our budget was 8$.
We've spent about 1,20$ for food.
That gives us 6,80$ for the gasoline.
But we've already "burned" 4$,
which means, we won't make another 100 km on what's left,
which means, that we're not gonna make it back to the start / finish line...
...meanwhile, Danny was drinking and...
Mati! [short for Matthew]
What?
The zipper...
And another climb...
I have no more gears.
Let's sum up:
2 kg of bananas - 2$
2 x sweetened milk - 1,25$.
That gives us 3,25$.
Water - 2$.
That makes 5,25$.
Plus some more bananas and fruit juice ...
[counting]
That will be some 6,25$ all together.
You've got 1,25$ left then.
Not really...
I gave them the tip...
Then you won't make it back.
Let's not play it safe ;)
Made the u-turn already.
Let's push it back to the finish line.
And that is the whole difference between the car and a bicycle.
We can afford to stop and relax.
Get some sunbath.
Look around and marvel at the georgious nature.
And Danny pushes it up the hill,
arrives tired and sweaty.
He won't feel like looking around.
And I am going to get some more sunbath here...
The whole point is about saving energy.
I can't save anything on the climbs.
Just need to get to the top of each hill.
But on the descends and on flat roads,
I need to hold an aerodynamic position.
That's the only way to save something here.
In addition to that,
my cycling kit has a special structure,
which minimizes the turbulences of the air,
when I'm riding in the aero position.
That makes me saving more energy.
We can see over 6$ on the display.
We're left with some cents to "burn",
but there's a hill ahead of us.
And this hill will probably stop us...
3 cents left...
Let's call Danny.
We are done.
We've burned over 6$.
Making 167 km on it (103 miles).
And so our race is over.
OK, 167 km.
And it was about 111 km one way.
Something like that.
167 minus 111 gives me 56 km to beat you.
That's cool, I'm even going to speed up a little bit.
Will make it finish sooner.
OK, don't lose too much weight.
Remeber - for each 10 grams you lose, we take 1 km of your distance.
In order for me not to cheat,
I was told not to lose more than 1,5 kg (3,3 lbs) of my body weight.
But if I do, I will pay 1 km for each 10 grams of my weight lost (below 1,5 kg allowed).
Save energy Dann!
[my full weight was 78 kg]
Mountains, my beloved mountains..
But it's not today I'd like to see you...
We've made over 200 km with this car today.
We've spent over 4 hours on the road.
The average consumption of about 3 l/100 km is in my opinion very good.
Even more so, because of all the hills and mountains.
The combustion engine had to help us quite a lot.
Despite that, I'm super happy with the result.
While Zachar was praising his car, Danny was about to hit the planned 168 km...
Mogilany [Cracow], same day,
a few hours later.
7 hours...
We're on the same parking lot, where we started.
And it's time to weigh this guy...
Here's our scale.
Come on...
Ha, it was 78 and still is 78 kg!
The cyclists can stay in the city!!!!
Respect!
That's a true happiness of somebody, who can still ride his bike in Cracow :)
Coll, congrats!
And what will the boss of all bosses say...
Yes?
What?
OK, let's give them another chance...
Is it not the end of our cars-and-bikes adventures?
Starring:
Wait, my underwear...
[messing the text]
We've experienced a wonderfull adventure with Zachar and our crew.
I'm not sure, we've proved anything,
except that bikes and cars can bring us a lot of fun and joy.
They can be environmental friendly and amazing.
If you'd like see more of our adventures,
you know, how to let us know about it ;)
now
Can someone help me with the zipper? ;)

Rapper Missy Elliott car collection | Rolls Royce, Ferrari & others - Duration: 4:18.
When talking about female rappers of the 90s, no one catches the eye like
Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott does.
In 1997, she released her first studio album Supa Dupa Fly, which reached number 3 on Billboard
200.
Till date, she has released 6 studio albums and sold over 30 million copies in the United
States only.
After her last studio album The Cookbook (2005), Missy had been out of the radar for almost
a decade until her surprise comeback with a promotional single at the 50th Super Bowl
in 2016.
Fans are desperately waiting for her seventh studio album.
Missy has an estimated net worth of $50 million.
With a sizable fortune comes a lavish lifestyle that includes luxurious passions like collecting
cars and bikes.
The rapper also has an extensive car collection, including varieties of supercars from Mercedes
to Lambos and even Rolls-Royces.
Today let's take a look on some amazing cars that rapper Missy Elliott owns.
But, before we get into the list, be sure to subscribe our channel and hit that bell
icon to be part of the eCelebrityFacts family.
#5. Lamborghini Aventador
When the name Lamborghini is heard, the first
thing people think is fast and expensive, and Aventador is just the perfect example.
Among different versions of Aventadors, Missy has the most expensive of all, Veneno.
To have this $4.5 million dollar car, she traded her 2005 Bentley Continental and paid
$30,000 as a down payment.
#4. Ferrari Enzo
Ferrari Enzo is the holy grail for the one
who really loves supercars.
It is one of the most fabulous and expensive cars that Ferrari has ever released.
This car was named after the founder of the company, Enzo Ferrari.
This V12 mid-engined car can produce up to 651 horsepower and can reach up to 0-60 mph
in just under 3.14 seconds.
Ferrari only manufactured 400 cars of this model and Missy Elliott has one in her garage.
#3. Lamborghini Diablo
Diablo is the first production car of Lamborghini
which could attain the top speed of 200 mph.
Only 2,284 of them were produced by the company.
The car had a wide range of price starting from 92 grand to 500 grand depending on the
model.
Back in 2001, Missy had also ordered one but someone stole her new ride, who ended up crashing.
The car was repaired and the person who stole it was sentenced to three years in prison
with charges of theft, crash, and damages.
#2. Rolls-Royce Phantom
Rolls-Royce Phantom is one of the classiest
cars in the world.
It is massive, striking and packed with almost everything a luxury car should have.
With her love for both speed and luxury, Missy also has a Rolls-Royce Phantom in her arsenal.
This car's price value starts at $418,825 which can even reach up to $500,000 if customer's
choices are added.
This beauty runs on a 6.75-liter V12 engine which can produce up to 563 hp.
#1. Lamborghini Gallardo
Seeing a number of lambos in her garage, we
can fairly assume that Lamborghinis are amongst Missy's favorite cars.
She has not one but two Lamborghini Gallardos of different shades in her collection.
This is one of the cheapest cars of Lamborghini collection whose price starts at $181,900
for the first generation and reaches up to $259,100 for the LP570-4 Squadra Corse special
edition vehicle.
