bands usually create music out of jams, right, especially if it's jazz music, but, you know even traditional

musicians and rock stars and etc

they actually have some ideas of some things and some sounds they want to experiment and

and very often they go into jams to

to align themselves into a specific rhythm and a specific lyrics and you know to create music together and

And it's all about improvisation as well

So they go there with themselves totally present play the guitar sing a little bit play the bass

Whatever, drums and then they create great music

hopefully great music out of that and

For Bossa

we found out at some point that we were in a position

all the decisions and everything that we were creating game-wise was kind of top-down and

We had the opportunity to join a massive global Game Jam

where we sent four people of our team there and

Ended up creating Surgeon Simulator

At the time, we were already experimenting having this kind of time off

Inside the company on an ongoing basis

And we said for games

Is there something else that we could craft that make sense for us?

And that's how game jams came about

So in practice, what happened is that every other month

Since we were I don't know 10 people

We stopped the whole team to allow themselves to get together in teams

However, they want to compose the team. Usually the teams have

One or two developers. They have designers, a game designer.

They have artists. And sometimes some someone from marketing also joins

What they do is -

They get together they have ideas, they brainstorm a lot of ideas

And they create a game and there are only two rules

One rule is you cannot work on your own

Persuade someone else or if you can not persuade someone else that your idea is amazing

Chances are you should be joining someone else with a better idea than yours

The second rule is the game needs to be playable at the end of 48 hours

the one that we're doing this month is

amazing because

We actually created a mini exhibition inside the office so that people created

each team created a whole experience around the game

Then all of us were kind of going around and playing the game and kind of having a feel of that

Which is much nicer than than doing a presentation, right? Because sometimes with presentations

You're like, okay, this game is amazing. You ask a lot of questions, but you actually have not played it

What happens for Bossa is that all the projects that we create from Game Jams they either get

killed because they're not good enough or they get

Picked up by someone else or someone in the teams. I don't know

I want to do that in my spare time

and

we usually

Have a conversation with the team and say well maybe we can allow

and in the future we can consider if we publish the game

Because it's not of interest of Bossa or something

But most importantly, the best ones go into our roadmap

Meaning it goes into production

It goes into the next available slot for us to build the game full-on

Game Jams became part of our culture and it's so funny because it's

I have to give credit to my co-founder Imre

He's the one who started crafting game jams

And he's so on it, adamant on improving that on an ongoing basis. So

That's how we roll here. We love doing things differently. We love being bold

And we love to take those risks

because

imagine

from a business perspective

It's actually costly for us to stop a whole team nowadays 80 people for two days to do that

but

It's so important for the way that we create games. It's so important for

For the team to feel comfortable to create great things together

but also to have the the purpose and the autonomy and feel like you know, they

They are doing something that has meaning

Because they created that

It was not me as a founder or my co-founders saying

Hey, you should do that because that's what I believe right and as a company

I think it's so important that we give the teams, and we give our best people the

The space to shine and the space to create awesomeness

Squirrel_Token: on the one hand, warping a familiar place is cool. On the other hand, they're re-using assets

Squirrel_Token: Missile Launcher owns actually. It's the strongest DPS weapon. It just won't hit a moving target

Wolfcau: Look at it this way. This is the only way that they could be arsed to give a level a second pass.

masterjayshay: 3 is pretty great for canceling. you can cancel gun reload time by switching and firing another weapon lol

Squirrel_Token: the rocket launcher is as strong as the shotgun in melee range, but with an infinite range, and half the fire rate

masterjayshay: You know as much crap as this game gets, I'm glad it at least introduced Wallrunning to the series. It's so good in 3.

Squirrel_Token: here's the savage golem, it has too much HP, no range,is slow and regenerates

Edmond_SA: If someone told me the rocket launcher was supposed to fire in mid-air but its bugged and swaps to pistols instead, I'd immediately believe it

masterjayshay: Well the reason Wallrunning is so good in 3 is because every frame you're on the wall is an immunity frame.

KalinDonn: this game has solid gameplay ideas in it that devil may cry 3 does much much better

Squirrel_Token: Is that Dante doesn't fucking die, or kill something every time he gets a weapon

Fabulousvillain: devil may cry has a bad habit of reusing assets, but in this they reused all the bad parts only

masterjayshay: They keep respawning if you come back to that area because they wanna make sure you have enough DT to fly up and hit the orbs lol

Fabulousvillain: i wish there was anything to say about these reused levels in this, but theres nothing right now cause this combat is boring

piritsgap: Their final attack is to regroup into one again, and shoot a mega blast from all mouths. Don't be tricked so easily, because this attack does not take the whole area (be careful when its life is low, because from here on, the Mega Blast does, sometimes, take the whole area). So look for a safe spot in the arena to escape. Then repeat the whole strategy to defeat it.

hey guys welcome back to part two of my

starting tips for scum no all these

steps are totally fresh they're not and

the first one but you haven't seen the

first starting tips I suggest you go and

check it this is aimed at the people

just literally just start to play

people keep asking is how do you open

cans of food it's actually quite easy

all you have to do is right-click you

can use a can opener you can use a stone

simple as that um just something that I

actually struggle with it fast as a bit

complicated then just press eat that's

suppose can find it a bit weird at first

and I suggest maybe trying what I've

done and use a table button to go faster

no I think it's pretty cool that you get

all your keys mapped out properly I mean

my map button there's one of the buttons

on my mouse so I can quickly get up and

ask to mess around

and I've also changed my first person to

e so I don't use a lot of the peak to

the right at all in fact so I've changed

it straight to there so map out your

buttons to what you're comfortable with

and because it can make all the

difference especially if you're are

fainting zombies know some people may

find yourself stuck in a mode where they

can't stop and focus in a zombie it's

cuz your own fate would know if you have

V you'll quickly come out that mod you

can move free range again but when

you're fighting like a zombie it just

stays directly looking at them so that's

one you keep on north I kept on a lot of

trouble that at first I didn't realize

that actually in has like a fight would

focus so always have V if you know

you're just gonna get owned by the

puppets or the zombies no another one

people don't actually know effort rains

are you fall into a river your clothes

get serious away and it can actually

humpy it and cause you go slower and

catch like disease and stuff so if

campfire but if you're a struggle if the

campfire and you can't use the drill

fire drill works because your survival

skills and high enough here so you may

have to use a lighter instead now to dry

your clothes the easiest and quickest

way to do it is literally tick them off

put them in the ground next to the fire

like so just leave it all down on the

ground and it will dry all the time no

different materials dry quicker than

others if you were in a cub Kevlar

helmet that'll dry obviously quicker

because it's metal no don't try and

think you can put wet clothes or dry

clothes because the system and the game

actually detects that and the dry

clothes will become wet just went a bit

of Maine but again we're doing this make

sure those puppets are around your

players just keep waiting over there

what I tend to do is I press left alt I

was keep looking some assayed behind me

so I can see what's happening but I'm

still getting f8 to the fire without

moving it's also probably better to

crouch as well just to try and keep

yourself down if you can try and face

some rocks and one between your rocks

craft a lot of that Shore Lord items

though endurance survival melee weapons

and running that's probably the key one

joy they have when you are actually

starting the game stealth held up as

well as you can because that means you

can hunt animals a lot easier then the

rest so just a little pointer for a lair

for fangs just pull them up to see if

you can do with them

if you take anything else up then do it

um but I should get into the game and

you start learning him properly then you

can start playing boat with us I mean

you see the stole things to be added to

this every weapons weapon flying driving

water cycle and and piloting ceilings so

it's a lot still to happen so as quite

that if you are starting out try to go

for those kind of settings simply

because you have to run away quite a lot

little bit but see I personally think

you're going to have to run quite a lot

when you're learning the game especially

from the puppets so it may be worth

game and see if they get away from them

animals the best thing to do is try and

sneak up know your stealth skill Mars

quite a lot for us so if your stealth

skill is quite low chances are you

probably won't get it it's probably

better to use a gun B can use a spear we

Kickstarter and loved the game now I've

noticed some exclusive footage of where

into the updates and we'll see this

the guys have rebelled a lot the systems

that said the supposed to tape which was
