The beyond-compare comedy actor, Danny DeVito had been dreaming of becoming a film performer
since teenage years.
However, short stature and disbelief in himself made him choose a career as a hairdresser.
He had been working in his sister's salon for some time, yet understood that it is definitely
not his cup of tea and decided to enter any of the New York Drama's academy programs.
The rest they say is a history.
DeVito's talent was obvious from the very first seconds, since he could play literally
any role, be it a crazy antagonist in a western Batman Returns, a comedy character in Junior
and Get Shorty or a striptease performer in Friends.
For the last couple of years, the multi-award winning actor has been acting in TV series
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Danny's mother, Julia was an actress as well as a mom of a comedy mega star.
She died in 1990 at the age of 85.
The father, Daniel Michael had always been working from home in order to spend more time
with the kids.
He was a bookie, who took bets on horses.
DeVito was very close with the father and is always sensitive when it comes to a conversation
about him.
Daniel passed away in 1982, aged 80.
The celebrity had two sisters with Angela being the eldest one.
She was an owner of a beauty salon, where a future actor worked for some time.
She died in 2013, being 85.
The second sister, Theresa passed away just a year later after Angela, in 2014, aged 80.
She was a specialist in inventory management, who loved cooking and adored animals.
As for Danny's personal life, he had been married to Rhea Jo Perlman since 1982 and
up till 2017.
Their love story began back in 1971, when DeVito was introduced to Rhea after the play
he had participated in.
Within just a month, the two love birds started living together and it went on like that for
11 years.
As Perlman is also an actress, both were acting together in several movies and enjoyed it
a lot.
Their union was considered to be the strongest in the Hollywood until they announced of their
separation in 2012.
The ground for that was the Drowning Mona performer's "wandering eye".
However, in 2013, they gave a second chance to this long-lasting relationship, yet the
outcome was the second separation in 2017.
It is not clear now whether the couple that had been living together for over three decades
would divorce or not.
But whatever the result is, we are sure they will remain to be best friends.
In a marriage, they have produced three kids with Lucy Chet being the oldest.
She was born in 1983 and is the first child to both DeVito and Perlman.
Lucy greatly resembles her dad not only in looks but also passion for the moviemaking
industry.
She is an actress who acted alongside her father as well as in a movie This Revolution.
The middle kid is Grace Fan who was delivered in 1985.
She is also into the entertaining sphere, but prefers to stay off the screen, being
a producer.
The third child is Jake who was welcomed in 1987.
Like the rest of the family members, he is into the filmmaking business and was featured
in several movies.
All three siblings grew up together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Perhaps, that's why they are very close and share a special tight bond.
