Youtube daily game Jun 3 2018

Hi my friend,. welcome back to the channel. CA here along with.. MTK...and RB.

The game that we want to talk about today is and I always wonder how to pronounce it

Romi cube. Rum rum eq. Rumikin. Rumacub. Rummikub.

We actually recently shared another game from Pressman which was the Mastermind for kids

which i'll include a link for. It's another really popular game. Oh yeah, that was fun.

This is designed for two to four players. In the box. A tile game so everybody's gonna

have their tile holders. And our tiles. So this set-up is pretty straightforward. To begin with

you're gonna take all of your tiles and you're gonna put them on the table face

down and everybody is going to choose one, without showing. Whomever gets the

highest number goes first. Yup

I have a 6. A 6. Twelve.

Alright. Just mix those back in. So RB will go first. So once you

determine who's gonna go first, every player chooses14 tiles from the pile to put in their rack.

Everyone is our tiles. So the purpose of the game is to use as many of the tiles in your

hand as you can. Ultimately at the end when nobody else can play it's the

person with the highest number when you're totalling. First hand you can lay

down has to total 30 points and the points are just really just adding up

the numeric value on your tiles. After that you don't have that requirement. So

um I looked through all my numbers and I didn't have anything that

I could play that would equal 30 so I picked up a tile from here and that ends

my turn.

Three 11's, that is 33 so over my 30. You can see they're all different colours. You don't

have to stop at 30. I also have three 8's. If all of your tiles equal some sort of

combination you can lay them all down. I do have a sequence. Four

is not at the same colour so therefore I can't lay that down. When it comes to

just numbers, they can be different colours like the three 2's. Can you play

next turn? Oh yes. Finally. Three 5's.

That equals 33. So I'm going to put this joker down to replace an 11. So now I'm going

to reuse the eleven. Eleven, twelve, thirteen. The fact that this joker is on the table

means that MTK or RB have an eleven in their hand, so they can own this joker

and put an eleven on the table. But by taking that joker it has to be

played on your turn. I am going to take my 13 and replace the joker. Whoa!

And lay down three 5's.

Alright, so we are done. To figure who wins we have to add... 345 678.. to add our total, what we played.

You're the winner. Thirty. Two-thirty. Two-thirty seven. Two- forty six.

And the fact that we were playing the beginning of game RB, you passed...

She didn't even play for 6 turns, probably 7. She had to keep passing. But still she came up on top.

Don't let that discourage you.

That is the game Rummicub.

Rummicub from Pressman Toys. As you can tell from the game,

it's really easy to set up. It doesn't take a huge learning curve. The fact

that all you're doing is coming up with the ...organizing numbers... yeah organizing. So the first time you play

being able to add up to 30. So whatever you play adds up to 30. But other than that

there's no other skill except for knowing the order of

numbers, knowing number pairs. Yeah. Easy enough for young to older family members playing.

Two to four which is a great size

Doesn't take up tons of room though the more space you have the more you can

kind of spread it out. We're here on Fridays talking games with a bit of a

geek twist. Tile number games kind of a non-board game board game. Yeah which

is great. If you like this content make sure to tell us that by leaving a thumbs up

on our video. Subscribe. Press the bell icon so you can be notified when content

like this is uploaded. Ding ding. Ding ding ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. And as always

three to beam out. [whooo]

LeBron James' Infamous Finals Game 1 Suit with Shorts Cost More Than $45,000

The widely panned suit Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James wore prior to Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday cost him a surprisingly large chunk of change.

According to Aaron Dodson of ESPNs The Undefeated, LeBrons complete ensemble—including his sunglasses, alligator bag and headphones—ran him $46,964.

As seen in the following photo courtesy of ESPNs Darren Rovell, the most notable part of James outfit was the fact that he wore shorts with a suit:.

Although James look very well could have come courtesy of the Jack Black School of Rock collection, it is tough to argue with the results it produced.

LeBron went on to rack up 51 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in Game 1. However, the Cavs lost 124-114 in overtime due in part to J.R. Smiths infamous gaffe at the end of regulation.

How games are optimized? - Duration: 7:01.

hello welcome back in this video I'll be talking about how games are optimized

before we start I should let you know I'm not a developer but I did research

this very well asking a few dev they don't need to be popular

they are devs but start with what is optimization Google does a very good job

explaining it optimization is the action of making the best or most efficient use

of a situation sounds good to me so how are games optimized let's go back

for a minute there is different ways to optimize game I'm going to list a few

and talk about them explain them so there are more ways to optimize a game that's

not the listed here to make the video short and save me from blowing up here is the list we are going to talk

about code occlusion culling/frustum culling enable instancing and level

of detail we're gonna explain one of those in the same good optimization

means that the game works at the same framerate across a wide range of hardware

specs including low-end configurations this isn't really true let's replace

same frame rate with acceptable because you can't have the same frame rate of

gtx 550 compared to a 1080 in modern graphical intensive games the word here

is acceptable let's start with code if a game is coded poorly it can have a huge

performance impact here's an example the top code you see is a code that can be

simplified to optimize performance but of course the more poorly coded code you

have the worst performance going to be the second one is the simplified version

of the top one easier to read let me explain why the second code is better if

you did if and else then I must check for the

operation first then assign value in but the second one is just science a value

into the corresponding values of those values to assign them directly basically

let me give you an example of this in English but it's not quite the same but

it should give you at least an idea let's say I asked you to pour me 100

milliliters of water in a special cup of course you'd need to look for the

special cup that I asked you and then for me water or you can just pour water

in any cup that can hold 100 millilitres of water which is faster to do that's

the same way and the code works like if and else so it needs to check that and if

if it can't do that then else just does what next step is occlusion calling

and frustum culling, frustum culling when there's most of the things you look at

let's say you are looking at three trees then you move the camera a bit so that

you don't see one of the trees so you only see two trees the tree that you

can't see and the objects behind the tree are still being rendered this can

hurt performance so much because you are rendering stuff that you don't see

on the other hand, collision calling does a better job it only renders the objects

that you see so if we go back to a three tree example I used the tree that

you wouldn't be able to see and the objects behind a tree or behind any tree

the objects I can't see they wouldn't be rendered until you move the camera and

see the objects see the tree that's not rendered that will be rendered that improves

performance like so they're much and it's one of the easiest ways to optimize the game

instancing what you see is 1000 not one thousand one hundred thousand

objects at 60fps like solid 60s how does it work

and why don't use it in everyday games man okay so how it works is very simple

normally when it's an object when instancing is the same object with the

same textures and everything it's normally the GPU needs to grab

information for every single object which is called correct me if I'm wrong

it's called a drop ball and then just when desert what

instancing does it renders it gets information once and then it duplicates

the objects and moves it place so why don't we use it well this couple of

drawbacks it has to be the same object obviously because you are duplicating

the object so you don't do more drop calls which will reduce

make the GPU do less work to get that boosts FPS boosting of level of detail

level of detail or portion it's used in almost all modern games so normally when

is an object a game object it's made of polygons of different

shapes to make the object so when the object is normally further away you

don't see much detail because that's how things work the

smaller it is the best detail you can see from an object and that's the case

in real life and clothes it's not just a case of games and that level of detail

comes in when there's an object that is far away from the camera what level of

detail does reduces the number of polygons used in the object you want

notice that unless used on trees

let's say for today everything that covered in this video is supported by

unity and the Unreal Engine 4 I don't know about the other engines don't

forget that there is more ways to optimize the game but that was just a

fun video it's not aim to tell develop a bunch of plans again just curiosity

videos but because you're curious stay curious

Life Lessos From Video Games - Ready Player 2 - Healthy Relationships - Duration: 6:14.

Greetings Users and Programs!

This is Etari L1v1ngSacr1f1ce and today we are going to be talking about how our choice

of friends and our partner or significant other will greatly impact our gameplay in

life

When playing multiplayer games our choice of partner or partners will seriously effect

the out come of the game.

We will be covering a couple point in this lesson so lets get started with Number one.

If our team mates goals in the game are different from ours, like their main focus is getting

the highest score possible and your main focus is making sure the team as a whole wins or

gets all the objectives completed eventually this will cause a rift in the relationship.

We have to first figure out what our goals in life are or what game in life we are going

to focus on.

If our main priority in life or dream is to have a big family and we are dating someone

that has no desire to have children the relationship will have a hard time succeeding.

If we are very career focused and our choice of partner doesn't believe in what we are

doing than our partner might do little things that sabotage our efforts whether its consciously

or subconsciously.

We tend to commit to the people we date or spend the most time with so if we spend a

lot of time with someone that we don't share the same values and goals with we may end

up committing to an unhealthy relationship.

It's very hard to win TOGETHER if we aren't even playing the same game.

Number 2 If there is too big of a skill gap between

partners one may start to get frustrated at their partners lack of ability to handle things

that they are already competent at and feelings of envy, inadequacy and contempt may come

into play.

If staying fit and eating healthy is extremely important to someone it would be really hard

for them to date someone that never wants to work out and prefers eating fast food every

day.

They might start to feel like their less healthy partner doesn't care or get frustrated when

they feel like their partner can't keep up.

You may have heard the phrase "to be equally yoked" which is an old english way of saying

to be united, on the same path and lifting each other up.

The origin of being equally yoked comes from a "yoke" of oxen.

The two animals were tied together to pull a plow and if one ox was stronger than the

other the plow would go in circles because one was dragging behind.

This is why it is so important to work on ourselves before we choose a partner.

We have to figure out who we are and what we value in life first.

We have to continuously strive to be the best version of ourselves we can be.

If we aren't in a good place when seeking out a committed relationship we will be more

likely to attract other people that have similar mindsets.

When two mentally unhealthy people get together the resulting relationship will be very volatile

to be sure and next thing you know we are seeing that couple on an episode of Cops or

Jerry Springer.

Number 3 The same goes in our choices of friends.

Statistically speaking if we take our five closest friends and average out their yearly

income we will come very close to our yearly income.

We take on characteristics of who we associate with the most.

We tend to watch the same TV shows as our closest friends, read the same books, and

have a similar sense of humor for example.

Going forward I would recommend being very intentional of who we spend our time with.

There may even be some unhealthy relationships you might want to consider backing off from

or cutting off completely.

It can be difficult cultivating new and different relationships because its always easier to

stay within our comfort zone.

Expect to have to go out of your way to make these new relationships happen.

Again.

Be intentional.

Choose who you want to stand out to.

Over the years I have spent a significant amount of time energy and money to get around

certain types of people.

I have spent money to take trips to get around people I wanted to develop a relationship

with that would make me a better person or whose relationship would help me better myself

at my chosen profession.

I have sent gifts to people that I wanted to stand out to and having that connection

with them might help us connect on a future endeavor.

Be intentional on which relationships you cultivate.

Those will be the ones that grow.

For those of you that would like to learn more about how to cultivate relationships

and live intentionaly I would recommend the books The 5 Love Languages which will help

you learn why some people love getting gifts and others could care less and would rather

spend their time with you for example.

Another book I would recommend is called Intentional Living which will help you learn to live intentionally

just like the title says.

If this video helps ONE fellow gamer adapt their way of thinking and grow into the type

of person they have always dreamed of becoming... than my time has been well spent.

If this video has helped YOU in any way then help your fellow gamers out and share it with

them!
