Let's see.. Here's where you open it!

There you open it

It's a big package!

A big package! Yeah

Huge! Yeah, huge!

New boots!

Did you see that right away that there's new boots?

Rain boots!

Yeah rain boots!

Look here, what's this?

There!

And some pineapple

Where have we been Theo?

I've got a bump there Yeah you got a bump there

What happened Theo?

The floor... Yeah you fell down on the floor

So we've been to the hospital What did you get at the hospital?

And a little tiger, right?

Here's the tiger! Yeah there it is

Hello and good morning! Well, it's not exactly morning, it's actually a little past 1 pm

I got to sleep in a little bit this morning but was waken by..

Theo..

He fell down from the dresser that we use as changing table in his room

He landed right on his head so he's got a huge swelling on his forehead

His eye is all swollen and also the area underneath the eye

So we decided to go to the emergency room with him, just in case

Just to be sure that he was ok

And he's totally fine

He was sad when it happened, and then he got a bit tired, but now he's happy again!

So that's a relief

We've been at the emergency room for about three hours

And now we're finally on our way home

We just had to buy some cookies

And some late lunch

Then Anders' parents are coming to visit in like half an hour or something

I'll see you again when they've left

Thanks for watching!

Project car build - Getting started - Duration: 9:51.

Hi. Harley here.

I'm out in the garage today for what's probably going to be a prequel for a much longer, probably

multi-year, series.

If you look over here, I've got, underneath all these boxes, there's a car buried and

back in the corner behind that car, there's another car buried.

Both of these are project cars that have been sitting on the shelf for way too many years

and it's time to start working on them.

I want to primarily start working on the one that's back here in the corner but in order

to get to that one, I need to get the one in front to be moveable.

So, the purpose of today's episode is to get this unburied and get it runnable.

It hasn't been driven in a number of years since the battery went flat and wouldn't start

it.

So I need to get a new battery.

I need to change the oil in it.

I should probably check the gas in it; put some fresh gas.

Put air in the tires.

That sort of thing.

I just need to get it so I can move it around the yard.

I may end up selling it at sometime in the near future.

But right now, the goal is to just get it moveable so I can get access to the one in

the back.

So, let's get started.

[Intro]

[Time lapse]

OK. I got the first level of stuff off there and see, there really was a car under there.

You couldn't really tell before, but I've got a convertible and a coupe.

I don't know if anybody else organizes this way but the way I do it is I tend to move

things into piles and then shuffle the piles around and progressively reduce the number

of piles I have and get each pile organized individually.

So, over here, I have something to go to the basement.

I've got a pile of trash that goes in the trash can.

I've got a whole pile of cardboard that for some reason had been getting saved and needs

to go in the recycle bin.

I've got a pile back here that goes to the garden shed and a pile that goes to the garden

storage.

I've got a pile here that goes...

I don't know what to do with that yet.

That stuff from the old truck that we used to store in there that we don't have room

for in the new truck, which is a project in and of itself, try to figure out better storage

in the new truck.

And over here we've got stuff that should go in the back of the Jeep for emergency preparedness

stuff.

And over here is project things that need to go down to the basement.

And I've got a vacuum pump in there, so that needs to go to the basement too.

So now the next step is to start organizing these individual piles.

[Time lapse]

OK. So I got a good chunk of things done.

Those are my wife's projects back here in the background.

I need to talk to her about what we want to do with that stuff.

But I got all the cardboard off and got piles sorted.

Some of it was just a matter of moving piles to other places for future... to deal with

in the future.

Still need to figure out what to do with some of that stuff.

I do have quite a few things now to deal with down here that are stacked underneath the

vehicles and around the back.

So I need to figure out what to do with that stuff but that's going to be for some other

time.

My wife's home from the activity she was working on and we're both hungry so we're going to

go get some food and I'll probably tackle this either later this evening or tomorrow

or next weekend.

A couple days ago it was 85 degrees and sunny.

Now we've got drizzly and 55.

Typical Utah spring.

Anyway, last week I didn't get as much done as I was hoping to which you know is pretty

typical when you're working on projects.

But I did get all the boxes off the top of the car here, so we can see there really are

two cars here and today I want to try to get all the stuff that's around underneath these

things so that I can get to them and work on them and have space to actually get the

project going here.

[Time lapse]

This is some of the stuff I had stacked around the car.

It's track lighting that I was able to get out of a building that was being changed.

It was a strip mall and one business was moving out and left this behind, the new business

coming in didn't need it and so I was able to go in and scavenge this material.

I'm going to be using it for project lighting for videography in the basement so I really

need to get this put together and in use.

[Time lapse]

And I've got the obligatory cute cat picture as Smoke is out here trying to help me.

[Time lapse]

So this is kind of an interesting little device that was given to me.

It weighs well over a hundred pounds I'm sure once it's all put together.

But it's got a motor in here, and a drive mechanism here that's chain driven with gears

and a power supply.

It runs off 110 and it's got these tracks that go on each side of it.

It's designed to carry refrigerated vending machines up and down stairs.

So those vending machines weigh 12 to 14 hundred pounds and so it's really, really heavy duty.

It also has these kind of outriggers on it that slip into these ports on both sides for

additional maneuverability.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with this.

If you have any ideas, leave them in the comments below.

I'd love to hear them.

One interesting thing is it does not steer.

It's designed to just go up and down stairs, as I mentioned, and so it only goes straight.

There's no steering mechanism on it.

So, in order to use it for some other application, it might require some engineering.

I'm not sure if it's worth trying to salvage anything off of this or what I'm going to

do with it.

So, like I said, leave a comment below if you have any ideas.

[Time lapse]

These cardboard tubes are another thing I could use some help with.

If you have any ideas what they could be used for, I'd love to hear them down below.

I though about maybe a telescope project with a little bit of it, but that's only going

to use probably not even a whole one of these and I'm not sure what else I'd use them for.

They're too good to be thrown away though.

You know how that goes.

They're smaller than the concrete forms that are used for fence posts and things like that.

I think they're cores from something like carpet or paper rolls or something like that;

that's about the size that they are.

Another idea I have for those tubes is to make some storage for all the long scrap metal

I have in the corner of the workshop.

[Time lapse]

I got everything cleaned up from around this thing.

I'm ready now to try to start getting it running.

That'll be the next video.

If you're interested in this series or other car related videos, there's a playlist up

above.

And until next time, go make something.

Perfection's not required.

Fun is!

Here's Why the Acura Legend was the First Japanese Luxury Car in America - Duration: 6:36.

it's time for show-off Sunday, where everyone has a chance to show off their

own car, and here's this week's winner, thanks for the introduction Scotty

Kilmer, these are my 1990 Acura Legends, developed in 1985, they were the first

Japanese luxury car sold in America with the help from the Austin Rover Group

featuring the first v6 engine ever sold by Honda, and actually prompted both

Nissan and Toyota to form infinity and Lexus, so let's start at the doors, a

silly feature and I really like it, is a little motorized arm that pulls the seat

belt back to allow people to get both from the front and back, when you open the

door, tucks the seat belt back, when you close

the door, it introduces you to the seat belt again, on the driver side of the

door here, we have memorized seats featuring fully powered electric seats

both on the driver and the passenger, also featuring powered mirrors with

heated mirrors as well, a feature I didn't know I had for a while, moving to the

center console, we have a little storage compartment on top, and below is probably

one of the most incredible things I've seen in a pre 2000s car, fuel economy

readout, flipping through the options we have distance to empty, trip, current fuel

economy, and average fuel economy, which I was shocked to see, I know it's a 1990

the system check button lets you verify your engine oil level, coolant level,

washer fluid, next service and when to change your oil filter, my 2012 WRX

doesn't have this setup, below that is the automatic climate control, I know

it's a 1990, there's this little window that pops up and shows you the controls

the a/c works great too, the Bose radio was completely shot when I received the

car, so I pulled the speakers and had the amplifiers on each restored, I also

tracked down a head unit from a junk legend to maintain the original stereo

from factory, now on the topic of the radio, that of course comes with a power

antenna, now Acura develop this beautiful foam spoiler that hangs off

the back, now because it bleeds too far off the edge here, when you pop the trunk

they make it so the antenna goes down, so you don't hit the antenna, upon closing

the trunk, comes right back up, let's not also forget how beautiful it

look on the car

another rare feature is the roll down rear windows, now granted there's not a

lot of space back here, especially if this guy's relaxing, but at least I have

control over my own wind, being the LS model I thought I had every single

feature they offered, then I still see these two blank spots, according to the

manual, the Canadian model actually had heated seats, now we have to buy a

Canadian model, underneath the dash here is a switch, flicking this switch

activates the winter wiper setting, normally are recessed into the hood, so

you lift up just a little bit and now check this out

once that switch is flicked, on the windshield wipers are these little tabs

as you pull them up, you pull the tab out and they'll hold the windshield wiper

just above the windshield, isn't that clever, now let's take it out for a spin

now the first thing I noticed every single time I drive this car, is the

steering, it is butter smooth, you can steer the steering wheel with one finger

no prom at all, you may think that this would affect handling, but it really

doesn't, it's actually very tight now, as far as power, this comes back with 160

horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, now while it might not be a fast car, it

certainly is no slouch either, it makes overtaking and merging into

traffic a breeze, if I just put my foot down

cars a steady power, that just takes right off nice and easy

which I don't normally do that, the transmission, the shifter is smooth a

real luxury feel to it, it actually makes my WRX feel like a stage 3 clutch, so I'm

a really big fan of the exterior styling as well, obviously as you would guess

since I've owned two, it's boxy but it catches your eye, I'm astonished by the

impeccable condition that this one is in since the last two that I had rusted out

so badly, I used to joke and I would slap the corner panel and as rust would rain

down I would yell out weight reduction, but a lot of people don't appreciate

cars from the 90s I noticed, one woman actually left a note on my car that said

donate me, put me out of my misery, which was a bit hurtful, I think the ls

actually completes to look a little bit more, with that rear spoiler and the

styling is actually very functional, it has a drag coefficient of 0.3 zero, which

is the same as a Koenigsegg CCX, just saying, the build quality is very solid

it's leather wrapped front to back, no rickety sounds, no creaks for a 28-year

old car I find that to be very impressive, right next to your hand if

you extend out your finger on your right hand side here, I have my radial volume, I

have my preset, and I have my tape direction, just in case you're still

listening to tapes, this car actually came with a nice fine set of tapes, my

Frank Sinatra collection is nearly complete, the sunroof controls on the

left hand side again the same thing, extend your finger out, you can just open

that sunroof right up, now on the steering wheel there are four horn

buttons, which I don't really see the need for that, but you can tell somebody

to get out of your way no matter where your car is, the one thing this car does not have

though oddly enough, are cupholders, this cars everything else but cupholders it

does have an ashtray, so Acuras you're going to want to smoke but you're

not going to want to have a drink in this car

lastly out of the three Acura legends I've owned so far, they've all had

similar parts breakdown at similar times, with this one being the exception from

my red one ten years ago, to my five year ago purchase of the gold one, to this

gold one, it really does speak to the build

quality and the consistency of what they were putting out at the time, Acura had a

lot to prove when they brought this car to the states, and proved something they

did in my opinion, I do think it's a phenomenal car, and I hope you do too

Scotty I think you'll agree with me, I'd like to thank Scotty Kilmer for

featuring me on his channel, I'd like to thank Acura for making dependable cars

hope you enjoyed the video, have a great day

well that was this week's video and remember to have your car video

highlighted here on my channel, check this out,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to

ring that Bell!

You Won't Own a Car in the Future | WheelHouse - Duration: 5:43.

- According to AAA, driving a mile in a new car

costs the average American 57 cents.

The average American drives 15,000 miles a year,

so this adds up to quite a bit of money, about $8,500.

With shifting societal needs

and emerging technologies being announced nearly every day,

some people are asking

if the cost of owning a car is even worth it.

Breaking down that 57-cent figure,

only about a dime of that goes towards fuel and maintenance.

The most expensive part, by far,

of driving a new car is depreciation.

On average, a new car loses $15,000 of value

during the first five years of ownership,

about $3,000 a year.

While this hasn't been a sales issue

to car buyers or manufacturers yet,

car makers are worried about the future.

Millennials now make up

more than a quarter of all Americans,

making them the largest generation in the US.

And according to a report by the Brookings Institute,

a huge number of them are moving to urban centers,

where alternative services like Uber and Lyft,

as well as public transportation or even walking and biking,

are feasible driving replacements.

A few short years ago,

if you wanted something, you had to go get it,

and that usually meant hopping into your car.

But these days, if you need to buy anything,

you can just get on your smartphone

and have it delivered to your door.

And if you live in a city,

same-day shipping and grocery deliveries

are becoming more and more common.

This decreased reliance on the car

is changing how we see the automobile.

Cars used to be a symbol of what it meant to be an American:

freedom and the open road.

And because of this,

they became an integral part of our society.

The classic representation of this

is the rush to get your license when you turn 16,

finally granting you the ability to do whatever you want,

like see your friends or other stuff high schoolers do.

Now, though, a study released

by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC,

who oddly track this kinda thing, shows that fewer teens

are choosing to get their driver's licenses,

with the total number of high school senior drivers

falling nearly 10% from 2006 to 2015.

These teens are choosing not to drive

for a number of reasons.

These include things like the cost

of owning and buying a car

and the fact that public transportation

and ride sharing apps have become more common

and the ability/convenience to do things online

without leaving their home.

I mean, think about it, when I was in high school,

I wasn't going anywhere unless I knew someone with a car

or my parents were down to drive me.

But now, any 15-year-old with a smartphone

and an iTunes gift card can get a ride across town

to Lindsey Luckenbach's house when her parents aren't home.

What a time to be alive.

For people my age, the keys to freedom started your car.

But now, it's a smartphone passcode.

To try to attract these otherwise lost customers,

new methods of ownership are being thought up and tried out.

Manufacturers like Lincoln and Volvo

are launching subscription programs

in a number of locations around the world.

Rather than having to deal with purchasing

or financing a car, then insuring it and maintaining it,

all while dealing with depreciation,

subscription programs roll all of that

into a single monthly price and no down payment.

It's sort of like how cell phone companies

have started rolling insurance

and the cost of a phone and usage all into one bill.

For instance, Volvo's subscription services

offer a vehicle, maintenance, and insurance,

starting at $600 a month for 24 months,

with the option to upgrade to a new vehicle after a year.

Although, if you upgrade, your 24 months restart,

and that's how they keep you.

I'm keeping my eye on you, you Swedish bas--

And it isn't just Volvo.

Lincoln, Cadillac, Porsche, BMW,

and Mercedes-Benz are all trying out

subscription programs in one way or another.

They're all trying to (bleep) us.

Some companies are thinking even further into the future.

Unless you've been living under a rock or in my apartment,

then you may have heard of Uber and Waymo

testing autonomous cars on public streets.

Such developments might make car ownership

a thing of the past.

AAA estimates that your car is doing nothing but sitting,

turned off, for 95% of the time that you own it.

In this future world, vehicles are in use 95% of the time,

constantly being summoned to and fro

where they are needed by connected devices.

Imagine, it's 2024,

you're subscribed to an autonomous ride service.

You go to work at 8:00 every morning,

so a car's waiting outside your house.

It already knows where you're going

and will combine your trip with others

to make the journey more efficient.

Your phone will tell the car you're inside

and it'll just drive away.

You slip on your Acme-brand VR goggles

to distract yourself from the hellish,

lonely, subscription-based dystopia

Ubertron is now driving you through.

As you arrive at Obey Corp.,

your car leaves for the next rider.

And you think to yourself,

hey, you didn't even need to find parking.

On top of the financial hurdles of such a future

is the hurdle of convincing the public;

you know, you and me.

In Uber's world,

cars are simply a means of transportation.

You use them to get from point A to point B.

While this may be true on paper, for many of us,

including most of you watching this,

our cars are so much more.

They're our happy place.

(laughing)

Somewhere to escape the day-to-day,

to put the hammer down and drive.

And even if that's getting more expensive,

I'm not ready to give that up.

What do you think?

Is it inevitable that we give up driving

or would you ever own an autonomous vehicle?

Let me know in the comments. Subscribe to Donut Media

If you wanna know how cars got so expensive,

check out this episode of WheelHouse.

Oh, (laughing) my Uber's here.

I'll see you later.

Do You Need a Car for House Cleaning - Duration: 5:18.

Do you need a car to be a house cleaner?

Oh, that's an excellent question and we're going to talk about that today.

Hi, there.

I'm Angela Brown and this is Ask a House Cleaner.

This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question

and I get to help you find an answer.

Now, today's show is brought to us by SavvyPerks.com, which is an employee discount program for

you and your employees.

So you sign up on a regular recurring membership and you have access on your smartphone to

over 250 thousand restaurants and retailers all across the country.

Now, one of those savings are rental cars.

So, if you don't have a regular rental car program or you don't have a regular car or

you don't have a bus pass, you can join Savvy Perks and you can get a discount on rental

cars so you have reliable transportation to get to your job.

All right.

So on to today's question, which is from a house cleaner who wants to know if she needs

a car in order to be a house cleaner.

And her argument was this, she said, "I have friends that can take me on jobs."

Oh, okay.

So I don't like the sound of that already.

When you come for a job interview with my company, as is true with many house cleaners

around the country, one of the things they're going to ask you for is,

do you have reliable transportation?

If you do not have reliable transportation, we cannot count on you to show up at a customer's

house at a particular time on schedule.

You need to have reliable transportation.

Now, if you don't have reliable transportation, there are gobs of people in the universe that

have figured out a way around that.

They have Metro passes, they have bus passes, they know how Uber works or maybe Lyft, and

they have figured out a way to be able to arrange for a ride in advance of their appointment

time of showing up.

If you don't show up, and every company that I know,

house cleaning companies, they have rules.

If you miss three times of not showing up, you no longer have a job.

Or, if you're tardy so many days in a row, you no longer have a job.

Reliable transportation is paramount to the success of your business.

Because, if you are working off of a schedule and you have people that you are expecting

to clean their houses and then you don't show up for those jobs, you're no longer going

to have a job.

And so, yes, transportation is incredibly important.

Now, if you are expected to drive to some of the different jobs, from point A to point

B, you need to arrange that with your employer because, if you do not have a car you will

not be able to do that.

And so, you will need to make other arrangements with other team members that you do have access

to a car.

If there are company cars and you are allowed to take one of them home, I know that there

are extreme situations where the house cleaner has been allowed to take a car home so she

can get to and from work.

But, if you put any miles on the vehicle beyond that, if you drive it around once you get

home, then again, you could lose your job and thus your car or your ride

to and from work.

So you have to figure out the rules of how you're going to make it work.

But let me suggest Uber and let me suggest Lyft because there are people all over that

do ride sharing.

And so, for a small fee, and it is a fee, it's an investment in your career.

If you're making a couple of hundred dollars a day and it ends up costing you fourteen

to get to work, it's an investment.

That's the money that you wouldn't have had as opposed to you staying home because you

don't have a ride.

You know, another thing I want you to think about is, if you start house cleaning and

you're making a couple of hundred bucks a day, that's a car payment.

That's a car payment.

So, for one or two houses a day, you can go down to the local car dealership and you can

say, "Hey, I don't have any wheels.

Can you help me get a car?"

If you have a really bad credit, we've already talked about your credit score, but if you

have really bad credit, there are secondary companies that will help you finance a car.

The interest rate will be through the roof, it'll be sky high, but they will help you

get a car at affordable payments.

And so, don't think about the whole price of the car, think about the monthly payments.

What you're trying to do is get from here to there.

When you get to a place where you have better credit and you have more money coming in,

then you can get a better car with better interest rates because you have better credit

and you have better money coming in.

So, there are people that want to help you, but you can also rent a car.

So, if house cleaning is what you've decided for your living, having reliable transportation

is paramount to the success of your business.

And I would not rely on family and friends

to get you there, for this reason.

Family and friends have other lives and they have other schedules, and they don't respect

your schedule like you do your own.

And so, even though they have good intentions, they have lives of their own.

They have sick kids, they have emergencies, they have things that won't allow them to

be reliable for you all of the time.

So you want to make sure that you take care of your own transportation to get to and from

the job.

So, do you need a car?

Yes you do.

Or, you need reliable transportation, however you make that happen.

But that is going to be your number one priority, is to make sure you are at your job on time.

Alrighty, that's my two cents worth today and, until we meet again,

leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

2018 BMW 430i Review | Edmunds - Duration: 8:00.

MARK TAKAHASHI: It's not very often

that my colleagues and I disagree on a car.

And when it happens, it's a little difficult,

because it's never easy telling a friend they're wrong.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

This is the BMW 4 Series refreshed for 2018

with a new front, new back, and a few updates on the inside.

This is the 430I.

It's the base model with a 2 liter

turbocharged four cylinder, puts out 248 horsepower.

My colleagues, however, think that this car shouldn't even

exist with this engine.

That it should have more power and more performance.

I think they're wrong and here's why.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

According to the track numbers we

got, acceleration-wise, why is this 430I isn't really

all that fast.

When I heard that a V6 Camry would outdrag it,

I was a little surprised.

SPEAKER 2: It is a nice feeling drive train, a nice feeling

engine.

Even if it might get outrun by a V6 Camry these days maybe.

MARK TAKAHASHI: That's primarily because this

feels a lot more sporty than those numbers suggest.

A lot of them might have to do with this manual transmission.

I mean, there's a directness about it.

There you go.

I'm sorry, but that's plenty fast.

The 430I, this car, has the base engine for the 4 Series.

So you can't expect truly impressive acceleration

and power and performance overall.

But that's not to say it's a slug either.

I mean, she gets up speed just fine.

In everyday driving, this 430I, it drives great.

It fulfills everything that you want out

of a luxury sport coupe.

Right now, I'm in sport plus mode,

which is the stiffer suspension setting

and livens up the response.

And I'm not on the smoothest road in LA right here,

and I'm not being jolted and tossed around.

It's still very comfortable.

Move to comfort mode, smooths out even more.

One feature that I absolutely like

in most of the new modern manual transmissions is road matching.

I'm in third gear now.

I don't have to blip the throttle in-between

for a nice smooth downshift.

I like it.

But part of me, the purist in me that part of my brain

that still loves manual transmissions,

I still want to do that myself.

I want to blip the throttle myself.

And the only way to do that with this car

is to disable traction and stability control completely,

which for most people, maybe not such a great idea.

For the vast majority of BMW4 Series shoppers,

this base engine is going to be more than enough.

And if they want more power and performance,

step up to the 440I.

Has 326 horsepower and also sets you back another $6,000.

The key thing here though is, and this is important to me,

is handling.

Both cars are going to handle exceptionally well.

They're really entertaining to drive on a winding mountain

road.

Or if you're lucky enough, on a closed race track.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

This is a rare treat for me on a number of levels.

I don't get to spend quite as much time

as I'd like on our wonderful handling course here.

And ever rarer when it's a manual transmission.

That said though, I've never really

been that big a fan of the manual transmissions in BMWs.

The clutch, well, the take-up can be a little bit

far off the floor for me.

The shifter itself is a little rubbery.

I like it a little more positive, a little more

mechanical.

But it's something you can get over very quickly.

One thing I'm noticing right off the bat

though is, this brake pedal is really kind of mushy.

Mushier than you'd expect for a car

that purports to be the ultimate driving machine.

And because it's mushy, it's a little hard

to modulate and trail in accurately

as you head into a turn.

Now even though this brake pedal is really soft,

the brakes are certainly up to the task.

And it's getting it slowed down just fine.

Here we go, come on.

Oh, OK, so I'm in regular [? key up ?] mode,

comfort mode.

Now this is the 248 horsepower 2 liter turbo.

And I'm having a pretty good time with it.

Obviously, if you're going to be doing some track

stuff like this, the 440I is your choice,

because it's got 326 horsepower.

Ah, here's something I just realized.

Actually it's something Carlos told me

just before I got in the car too is,

if you're going from fourth to second in a downshift,

it will not rev match for you.

You have to go sequentially four, three, two,

which is usually what I do.

I just, whoo.

Oh, I just got a little bit in the moment there.

It is taking a lot for me to actually not try and rev

match it myself.

To rev match yourself, you have to take traction control

completely off.

And I don't see the point with this car right now.

Whoa.

There we go.

Yeah, and there's no limited slip in here either.

But as I just demonstrated in that last turn,

she'll hang the tail out if you give it a little goose.

I do like the rev matching in this.

It's quick enough, but you can't just kind of aggressively just

slam it and then dump the clutch.

Yeah, and even right there when I really just floored it

coming out of that turn, it did back the throttle back.

And that's good.

I mean, if you wanted to turn stability control all way off,

drift to your heart's content if you can.

Ooh, you can definitely have fun with what we would consider

the entry level BMW 4 series.

Once you've been in one BMW, it's

sort of like you've been in all BMWs.

There's a familiarity throughout their entire lineup

that's not just refreshing and comforting,

but it's just play nice and luxurious.

Everything falls to hand just as it should.

New for this year is an updated infotainment system,

the new iDrive.

It has Apple CarPlay as an option,

but it's a $300 option, which sort of bothers me,

because a lot of other car companies

are putting in there for free and standard

throughout their entire lineup.

BMW, come on, let's get with it.

Under this arm rest here is a new wireless

charging pad for $500.

That's a bit excessive.

Especially when you consider you can buy one

for your home for $30 on Amazon.

Once you close the door of the 430I,

you're presented with the seat belt right over your shoulder.

And that's really nice, because otherwise,

it's an awkward crane backwards to grab it.

As it is, with this $53,000-ish price,

it does actually feel like a $53,000 car.

[MUSIC PLAYING]

In this class, this BMW 4 Series represents

more of a driver's car versus the Mercedes Benz C Class

that is more classical luxury, while the Audi

A5 sort of splits the difference and adds

a whole lot of technology.

The differences between all three of these are so slight,

it's going to come down to personal preference.

I get the performance argument, but for my money,

and there there's a lot of money on the line

here, I'd go with the BMW M2, because that thing is

an absolute riot to drive.

And if you think I'm wrong, let me know.
