WAG Life Emily Bridgers, Episode 1: Fuel to Recover - Duration: 9:43.

[Emily] I think there's definitely something to be said about going out on top or just

going out on your own terms that's gonna make it feel like it's the right decision

To me I don't want to wait to the point where I'm so broken that I

can't qualify or I think all the time you see people not qualify and

then they get injured the next year because they're just trying so hard

to make it back I don't want that to be me and so I feel kind of like

physically and mentally it's the right time and it's okay if people don't

necessarily understand that

Time for me to move on and you know grow in other aspects of my life and do

other things and I'm ready for that

All right about to spend the day at the gym so

just trying to be prepared for anything I might need and then if I'm ever in

like a a bind Chick-fil-a is down the street and I can actually come up with

some decently healthy options there

[Ben Benson] In '15 and '16 she seemed to have a really

hard time recovering I don't know if that had more to do with the events or

just in general but it seemed that once we were in a more regimented meal

plan that it was a lot easier for her to recover during the '17 Games

[Emily] This year we've kind of just been going off of how my body feels how can I keep

my joints healthy so I haven't been doing as much lifting we used to do a

lot of this kind of like CP Battery barbell cycling type of stuff with short

rests in between so it feels good to get back into it my body feels good today

I would say my biggest observation I mean every year is kind of a learning

experience and I build off the previous year but I'd say in general CrossFitters

think that they're gonna lose all their fitness in like one or two days and

that's like completely not true as long as you're maintaining a base

your strength will come back up really quickly and I've learned that you

just need to train smarter and not everybody needs to train for eight hours

a day and maybe some people do need that I don't know but I think if

you're having fun you're doing a good job and then if you're having intensity

every time you do approach a workout you're doing a good job

I've always been conscious of what I was eating and portion sizes and stuff like

that but I didn't realize how many fats I was eating and not enough carbs and then I

still have to very consciously be aware of how much protein I'm eating per

day otherwise I won't eat enough and I could pretty easily go over my fats as

well so yeah it was a change I thought I was a little bit more aware

than I actually was so just balancing it out a little bit over the past year

chicken enchiladas are one of our favorites they've (Eat Fit Go) got a good fajita chicken bowl that I eat

a lot for lunch go with the salmon pretty often we switch it up week to week but we have our favorites

I work with a food company called Eat Fit Go and most of our

meals are packaged and they come with macros on them so this one I'm about

to heat up some chicken enchiladas it's 450 calories, 25 grams of protein, 49

carbs and 18 fats so pretty balanced and then I'm just gonna add some extra carbs

in because I haven't gotten too many today yet with peppers and some strawberries and blackberries

Lately we've been trying to eat a lot more vegetables so

just trying to keep vegetables in the house we always have meals but they

don't necessarily come with a whole bunch of colorful vegetables we used to

get Chipotle like once a week and we still we still eat Chipotle pretty

regularly but my order definitely changed after starting to count my

macros I used to do like the same bowl with cheese, sour cream, and salad

dressing and so that was like way too many fats so I had to cut out the sour

and the cheese and I'll still use a little bit of dressing as some fats but

it's still just as good maybe one day I'll splurge and add back the sour cream

Probably my biggest composition changes were in the first

month or two that I started counting my macros and then now to me it looks

fairly the same basically I don't do it for like to look lean or anything like

that it's strictly just like can I recover better from day to day and

even like the days where I feel bigger like I'll look at pictures from three

years ago and I'm like oh wow I'm like way leaner

I've gained a few pounds since last year but it hasn't

really hasn't changed anything so at first I was all paranoid about it but I feel

like I've put on some muscle mass so that's good the system that WAG uses (Seismic) you

can compare photos from week to week so that's kinda cool just because

like if you look at a photo itself you're like yeah it looks the same but

if you compare them side-by-side you can see little differences

I feel like if you're too lean your chances of injuries are greater but that's kind of just in my own head

so I don't have any proof of that for myself but I think like going into

the CrossFit Games you definitely want to be probably the leanest you've been all year

leanest and strongest

Somebody was telling me that they serve the same amount of alcohol at the Masters as

they do at like at UGA football game

[Ben] I'm sure they do yeah

Weekends are a little bit more laid-back during the fall Adee was giving me

Saturday's off so I didn't have to track but I also wasn't allowed to just

go overboard so I mean if I'm gonna have alcohol it'll be on a Saturday and then

eating wise it stays relatively the same I mean it's more about like

am I eating moderately and obviously tracking your macros that's the whole

idea is being able to stay balanced and not say I'm never gonna eat a piece of

pizza again but making it fit in throughout the day

We stayed up in Wisconsin after the Games this year cuz Ben's family's from there I mean we

went pretty crazy for like that week and I think I gained like

five or six pounds in a week but I mean that's not hard to do when you've been

tracking and training and then and I think it's like natural inflammation

from a week at the Games I can't imagine just like continuing on

that for a month at a time I mean routine is good for me training is good

but then I mean I would say for a few weeks after the Games I was pretty

lax then got back on it

Battery life talk with Emelie Forsberg - Duration: 0:51.

Emilie Forsberg & Battery Life

I really like it when the battery life is long.

Because sometimes I do training where I go from hut to hut in the mountains

and I don't bring a charger, and it's not possible to charge.

So I can just store all the move,

and I can also have the track to explore places I don't know

and that's really good.

It varies: sometimes it's perfect to have one hundred hours.

Then you're safe for a week or one and a half... depending on what you are doing.

But for me, that's really in the zone of it.

Never Worry about running out of battery again.

The 4 Steps To Life Success (More Than Hard Work!) - Duration: 9:25.

empowerment team.org and today I want to talk about them the fourth the poor The 4 Steps To Life Success

assets of success you know there's um each one of these I think make up 25% of

what a successful entrepreneur has yes and so I actually heard this from Tai

Lopez you know he's a very very famous online marketer and he was just talking

about how everybody talks about the way to success is hard work and you hear

that all the time in a work work work I'm gonna hustle gotta work gotta work

gotta work and it's true 25% of what you need to be successful is hard work so

what you're saying is the other four things the other three things as well as

hard work first being being perfectionism

he said the break that's number one was perfectionism so that was like just

being just double-checking things and just really making sure that everything

was the way you want most most entrepreneurs most entrepreneurs are

very perfect our perfectionist me too I was a perfectionist until you learn that

either you can be the person that checks and double-checks and Jeff or you can

delegate you can help looking get others to help you as well and that's in all

assets of life especially as an entrepreneur but perfectionism is

important you know what most people just think how quick can I make the money but

you know they they don't value the fact that you know you want a good video for

example you want a good article you want to go over it you want to make sure it's

the way that you make sure hasn't got errors or there wasn't bleeps and all

this sort of stuff you make sure that the thing is perfect for you before

you're uploading so perfectionism is the first one the second one and you hear

this a lot is being disciplined having consistency and discipline I think they

kind of band into one but discipline is definitely important I mean whatever it

is that you're gonna do you need discipline lack what discipline is is

good habits because think about most people like say say your goal is to lose

some weight but yet your habit is you go out first thing in the morning you

jimena and then you don't do any exercise and you Drudge your way into

work and then you drink five litres of coffee and then at the end of the day

you jump in a car or whatever so you've been sitting down all day and you jump

in a car you go home you gain your your massive meal tons and tons of calories

again no exercise and evening and then you go to bed and then you wonder why

you're not losing the weight compared to someone whose habits so like they get up

first thing in the morning they eat a good good breakfast take some fruit or

something with water they are exercising first thing in the morning then yet they

have a good meal halfway through the day and then they go to gym in the evening

now that's their routine that's their habits that's their disciplines and so

lo and behold their results are completely different they start to lose

weight they start to be fitter so first thing is that you do have to have

discipline to say it for example for your marketing say you decide you're

going to put videos up you need to say well okay Monday Wednesday Friday

whatever it is or if you if you're a full time marketer then it's every day

but if you not and you see even if it's two days even if you say Monday and

Friday I'm gonna put a video up I'm gonna write an article those days

without fell you should be writing an article you should be writing that

article on the Monday on Friday or making that video on Monday and the

Friday without fell and consistently because that's the difference that's the

difference guys between know people that are successful in their on their

consistent they're disciplined so discipline is another 25% of the fourth

of the four things that make up the whole third thing obviously is hard work

you gotta hear there you go to put the work in you've got to put hard work in

so if you do say Monday and Friday without ferrule you've got to get on air

you've got to start working you know and you put massive amounts of action in

then things happen yeah it's that's one of them you have to work hard but that's

not the only thing but that is definitely in there you know you there's

what there's I call it and people are just like paralyzed by loads and loads

of content loads and loads of stuff and it's fine you do have to take in the

content but when you if you don't add work to that if you

don't put the work in I mean I could sit here and I can teach you the exact what

thing you need to do to put up to do a Facebook live for example but if you

don't then take that information I've given you and go and try and do it The 4 Steps To Life Success

yourself then it's just you know it's just information just loads and loads of

information just goes nowhere and then the fourth thing is he said it was

prudence now you know it's a fancy word but basically all it means is guidance

is somebody guiding you you know what it was saying is like for example if most

people don't know where North is for example you know let me let me see let

me try and break this down what you're saying so it's like say you're an

entrepreneur your business goal your goal to be to be financially free your

go to have time freedom your go to spend more time with your family and friends

is there it's ahead it's one mile ahead yeah but because you don't know what

you're doing and you're blind I mean you don't know what you don't know so you

just you take a bit of information here here here and he says most people are

going that way let go and sell so imagine if we've got the world our

destination is one mile ahead enough but we go south we're gonna go all the way

around the world before we get to our destination and come up on the backside

of it so it's like because you don't know you don't know which direction it

is so prudence basically means is getting guidance getting mentoring yeah

because if somebody else has done it they know where North is you know your

compass probably at the moment is pointing south for it's all over the

place you don't know what to do you don't know what you don't know so you

need to follow somebody who says this is the way we doing this is the way we go

so the best two ways to get people to guide you either books again tyler posey

he recommends that you should be reading a book a day I mean for some people

that's just not doable yeah so even if you just read a book a week nowadays we

have so many things that can help us we have audiobooks you know we have YouTube

videos we've got so much stuff out there to help us and we don't take advantage

of it you know like libraries world of knowledge that's people there

that can guide you you know you for example you to get a sit down now with

Bill Gates for example it's probably I don't know what would it cost you a

million million dollars whereas you can buy his book for maybe fifty dollars and

that's the same thing that's the knowledge straight from his head to the

pages that's like having Bill Gates guide you on on business I mean these

things are powerful so you know if it's internet marketing that you want you

want to get a coach you want to get somebody who knows what they're doing

and has been there and they can guide you to know if they can just guide you

forward to where you need to be and then you'll get their critical one mile

journey rather than all the way around the world you I mean with guidance would

mentoring I mean if you can't get face-to-face in-person mentoring then

you have books you should get books do learning but all of these things have to

come together like there's no point doing loads and loads of learning which

is what a lot of people do and no action no point taking action without making

that consistent action step but but Monday Wednesday Friday whatever you

know and there's no point doing the consistent action and discipline without

double-checking and being a perfectionist and saying this is the way

I want to do because you put those four classes together that's four facets of

success that's 25% each and then you get successful so it's not just hard work

you do need hard work and get me wrong but you need to discipline you need all

the other things as well hiring guys just short once then I hope

you got some value from this if you did then please take the time to like it and

share it with anyone else you believe will get some value from it as well if

you're not already a subscriber to the channel please take the time to just hit

the subscribe button and we'll be below there and tick the bell icon basically

said that if I put out any more videos which I'll be putting I put out videos

once a week I would normally regularly put out some videos to try and help you

to try and empower you to get more sales and to become a better marketer if you

want to have a look at my number one recommendation I recommend to everyone

again because it has these four facets and then it has guidance as people

showing you it is broken down into sections that will help you move forward

I hope you guide you to the direction you need to be in to start making some

money online then I'm gonna leave a links below you can click on that link

and go and have a look completely for free it's a completely free to look at

completely free to get started as well all I once again thanks for listening The 4 Steps To Life Success

25 Facts About Me! | EDS, Hearing Loss, The Frey Life?! [CC] - Duration: 14:14.

Hey everybody, my name's Jen and

welcome to my channel!

Ok, so today I'm going to be doing the 25 facts about me video

Hopefully you'll get to know me more after this, or maybe not. I don't know.

Enjoy.

Alright, so the first fact is I am 25.

Most people think that I'm a lot younger

Recently, I got asked my age when I went to see rated R movie. So yeah

but I'm 25.

Fact number 2 is that I am a photographer. I've done some weddings, but mostly I do portraits. I do families,

engagements, newborn, kids,

whatever really will sit still long enough for me to take their picture

And I really enjoy it.

It's fun.

Fact number 3 and why I have kind of a lot of Frey Life merch around me is that I actually

manage their store Instagram account and I take a lot of the photos are on there. So

For those of you that have been living under a rock and don't know who they are

I will link them down below. But the rest of you that know they are and already love them like I do

Yeah, now, you know who actually runs that account.

Hello.

Number four and maybe the worst fact about me is that I have a major

Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi addiction...

I have one right here.

Honestly like three other cans next to it that I've already had today...

I'm trying to cut back but it's a hard process and

I don't know it tastes good and I don't want to stop drinking it, but it'd probably kill me. So I'm working on it

Alright so the next fact and maybe I should have lead with it is that I have a genetic disease called

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I have the hypermobility type and

Basically it affects everything. All of me, all of my life, but for a more technical definition of what it is, I will read

Lets see, Mayo Clinic

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome is a group of inherited disorders that affect your connective tissues primarily your skin, joints, and blood vessel walls.

Connective tissue is a complex mixture of proteins and other substances that provide strength and elasticity

to the underlying structures in your body.

so

Basically it

affects every part of the body.

Most specifically I dislocate my joints all the time. My stomach does not work.

My neck is

horrendous at holding my head on my body and

I don't know. All the things. It affects all the things, it hurts. I will make more videos about that

it's kind of a main point of this channel, but

it's just a glimpse.

For now, if you're curious you can go see my first video that I made which was kind of like a

short

glimpse of what it's like behind closed doors, what's like behind our smile that we put on every day and

just

the truth. The unseen truth behind EDS. So you can go check that out and enjoy.

The next fact about me is that I am from California. I currently live in Massachusetts, kind of in the Boston area, but

originally, I am from the Silicon Valley. So kind of the heart of

technology, Apple, everything. And

Honestly, I like it here better, I'm sorry mom, um, it's just slower and

Just better.

So next fact and kind of ties in to me being from California is why I moved here.

And that is because I love the snow. I love the cold. I love everything about being frozen. I just don't do well in heat.

I don't like the heat. I don't like feeling like my skin is burning off and

honestly, I just feel really sick. I'm pretty bad heat intolerance. So whenever it's hot,

I just don't do well and New England is perfect for that

because most of the year it's pretty cold or at least 60 degrees and that's fine.

Alright, so the next fact and again ties in with me being from California is that I am obsessed with In-N-Out. I miss

In-N-Out, I think about it all the time. I have nightmares about the fact that I've gone home to visit and

I've somehow

forgotten to eat In-N-Out up until the end of my trip and I have to come back to

Massachusetts and I've realized I've wasted all this time not eating In-N-Out, it's horrible. It's a repetitive dream. In-N-Out needs to expand.

Alright, so the next fact is that I actually have mild to moderate hearing loss.

I didn't find out about this officially until last year, but I mean

I knew I couldn't understand people very well and I had to put volumes up pretty high and all things but

Yeah, I'm gonna do more videos on that as well and of how I

figured out I had hearing loss and the whole process of getting hearing aids and everything

but yeah, they assume it's genetic and

probably unlinked to my EDS. So I just kind of won the genetic lottery.

The next fact is that I actually was going to be a respiratory therapist. I came here for a respiratory therapy program

I was really excited, I was doing really well, and then

I decided that would be a good idea to drive home in the middle of

a snow storm. So the hospital where I was working had a really big hill

by it and I had to drive down it but I did not know it was covered in black ice and my car slid all

the way to the bottom, I couldn't stop, went into the front yard of somebody's house.

I got pretty bad whiplash, but otherwise was fine. But with my EDS

whiplash...

It's not good.

My neck became super unstable. My spinal cord was giving me problems like

my whole body was just ruined and I could not heal so I had to quit.

And that was

probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to do because I loved it so much and I was really passionate about it

but...

What can you do?

Next fact is that I play piano, kind of and some guitar. I say kind of because I can't read music

I just played by ear which is funny because I have hearing loss

Anyway, I have not played piano in kind of a while so it's mainly muscle memory for me

but now that I have hearing aids I'd be really interested to get back in it and see if I can kind of

play songs by ear again and get them out better and faster.

It definitely took a while before.

So the next fact is that I love books. I love reading them. I love looking at them. I love buying them. I love

everything about books. Um, I have some right here

but

there's a dresser behind me. It's actually full of books because I just ran out of shelf space. I actually have a bookstagram account

I don't really use it that often, but I'm gonna get back into it.

It's called @thebookhooligan, and I actually also make some bookish jewelry.

So, I don't know if you like books too, go ahead and check that out and talk to me because I love talking people that

like books too!

So the next fact and maybe the most important is that I love The Lord of the Rings.

I love the movies, I love the books, I love everything about Middle Earth and just

I love it.

I sleep to it every night. I watch it all the time. I have multiple copies of the books [sighs]

I just love The Lord of the Rings.

Next fact about me is that I love candles. I have a ton of candles, some bookish candles that I paid way too much for

but overall just

any candles I mean I'm kind of particular about smell but...

It doesn't really matter. I just love candles...

I need to stop buying them.

So the next thing about me is why I wear glasses so I got glasses a couple of years ago and

up until then, doctors thought I kind of needed reading glasses or whatever. I just, I struggled to read, I struggled to see things. I

I often closed one eye in order to read anything or

see straight.

Basically while I drove I kind of took my head because I just I had double vision.

And finally

I saw some eye doctor that figured out. "Oh, you know you'd benefit from prisms in your eyeglasses." So that's what I have

I have prisms in here, no distance correction or anything.

I just

I couldn't see straight without it.

Not really sure if that's EDS related or not. I'm assuming maybe like we connective tissue in my eyeballs.

I don't really know, but without these I just kind of

run into things.

Alright, so the next fact about me is that I am a Christian. I have been basically all my life

but

Yeah, I mean

it's basically the main reason why I'm still sane I think dealing with all my chronic illnesses and

health struggles and all the struggles.

Well, the next fact is that I have been to Italy and Puerto Rico, otherwise, I've just been to States.

um and

I have to say I really want to go back to Italy because the pasta is just unreal.

I mean, yeah, the buildings are great too. But oh my gosh, the pasta was unreal. It was just so good

So hopefully one day soon I will make it back there and just spend every day

eating.

Alright so the next fact about me is that one time a Disneyland employee made me cry on my birthday.

So much over the happiest place on earth

I was quite upset and my friend had to go in and yell at people and they made it better

But I think I might make that a separate video

because it kind of has to do with

accessibility for people with invisible diseases whatever so yeah. It was a bad day, but it turned out okay.

The next fact about me is that I have a crazy clothes addiction.

I'm looking at so many piles of clothes right now. It's kind of horrible.

But my defense is that I have to share a one-bedroom apartment with my friend, and we just don't have enough space. So

No, I really just need to stop buying clothes.

The next fact is that I know some ASL. I took two of three classes in college.

I've also studied German, Japanese,

Spanish, Italian,

I started doing French...really hard. Not a big fan.

And one day I hope to be fluent in at least

one language. Maybe ASL in case my hearing keeps going and I kind of feel like communicating with people. I don't know but

yeah, I really love languages and they kind of just

I don't know, they fascinate me.

So the next fact about me is that I grew up a major tomboy.

I mean, I still basically am I'm not really into super girly things but

growing up I just was always outside with my friend, he lived across the street and we grew up together. He was basically my brother and

Yeah, we just play sports, biking, rollerblading, skating...

Everything. I did a lot of sports growing up, for time were like boy clothes

That was a great time in my life. I looked great.

So the next fact about me, is that in middle school I ate pizza

with John Lithgow. And at the time I only knew him as Lord Farquaad,

so I would tell people I had lunch with Lord Farquaad.

But now I realized that that's actually kind of bigger deal than I thought it was.

Um, I guess my friend at the time was family friends with him

and he was writing some children's book and he wanted a kids opinion on...

I don't know, the plot or something. I don't remember. I just remember pizza and eating lunch with him. So that was cool.

Next fact about me is I'm kind of an animal whisperer.

I love animals, like maybe an unhealthy amount...

And they tend to like me too, a few times

I put goats to sleep in my arms at petting zoos or farms or whatever, they just kind of end up in my arms and asleep.

And...

Yeah, I just I love every creature. I mean even scary things.

I don't necessarily want them on me, but I'll probably talk to it.

So another fact about me is that I drove across the country from

Cupertino, California all the way to the North Shore of Massachusetts

in about three and a half days.

When I moved here, me and my friend and her sister

drove across the entire country and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. I don't recommend doing it that fast.

I also had my dog with me and that made it difficult. I don't think I'll ever do that again if ever move back.

I'm flying, I'm crawling, anything. Anything but a car ride for 3,000 miles.

So the fact about me is that I cannot say the word

(Apocalypse)

Insert here. I mean I can try it pop up plip flip up plip.

I can not say it. It's like the biggest tongue twister ever. I just can't so hopefully that never happens so that I don't have to tell anybody

Hey the "pop up plip flips" is here and they don't take me seriously.

All right, that's it. I really hope I counted right if not, sorry.

I lost count somewhere around 5. So...

Yeah, I hope you like a little bit more about me, I hope I didn't bore you to death, and I'll see you in my next video! Bye!

different subject let me put these hand bugs up and what's up again

I understand having a bigger dream or a better dream I don't know about even

start this like this on camera

now try on other ventures

lots of truckers will try out of the ventures and they have a tendency to

come back to truck driving so that's not so bad

there's still there's still help I'm gonna miss them in their venues but

that either

or channels on how to be a mommy hey they got a channel for everything

now

so you just don't know what's gonna be in success

this time of year in the YouTube world numbers slow down they just crash and

burn and it's because everybody's outside and

they're doing doing summer things right and some people get upset about that

like if they're making some revenue the revenue goes down about revenue come on

The momentous transition to multicellular life may not have been so hard after all - Duration: 3:38.

Less than a billion years ago,

Life crossed a threshold.

Single cells started to band together,

eventually evolving into the riot of shapes

and functions of multicellular life today.

It's been thought that the evolution

of multicellularity must have been

a major genetic leap but new research

suggests that it wasn't such a

difficult transition after all.

Scientists looked at an organism

that seems closest to making this leap.

Choanoflagellates while single-celled,

resemble the specialized cells that line

the channels of sponges, which are considered

by many to be the most primitive living animal.

A lab found 350 gene families in Choanoflagellates

once thought to be exclusive to multicellular animals.

The findings suggest that this single-celled

organism is already equipped for multicellular life.

A single cell's life is simple but limited.

Like hermits, microbes need only be concerned

with feeding themselves.

In contrast, cells in a multicellular organism,

give up their independence;

they take on specialized functions;

they sacrifice their progeny to the greater good.

Take volverine algae, which comes in

a spectrum of cellularity.

A lab compared the biology and genetics

of this diverse set of algae and learned

that as cells banded together, existing genes

took on new functions.

Chlamydomonas is a single-celled alga

that uses its centrioles for both swimming

and reproduction, so can't do both

at the same time.

Its multicellular relative, Volvox, however,

can do both at once because its cells

have specialized -with some using the centriole

for swimming and others using it for reproduction.

Yeast is a fungus consisting of a single cell.

One lab conducted a series of test tube experiments

with yeast cultures to better understand

how cells evolved increasing complexity.

The biggest cells, which were the ones

that settled to the bottom of the flask,

were allowed to survive and reproduce.

Within 2 months, daughter cells stuck

to their mothers and formed multicellular

structures dubbed snowflakes because of their shape.

Over time they got bigger and more and more complex.

In this sped up simulation of evolution,

the yeast specialized cells.

In large snowflakes, certain cells cell undergo

a type of suicide releasing the cells at the tip

to start a new snow flake.

The dying cell sacrifices its life so that the group

can reproduce--a hallmark of multicellularity.

The team conducted the same experiment

with Chlamydomonas and again,

a kind of multicellularity was quick to appear.

Scientists are still debating what drove

simple cells to become more and more complex,

but with these genetic comparisons

and clever experiments, what was once thought

as a major leap can now be seen

as a series of small genetic steps

that lead to the wondrous diversity

of multicellular life today.

A Day In The Life Of A Window Cleaner - Duration: 3:24.

Working for FISH is the best decision I've ever made.

My name is Clayton and I've been working for FISH since 2009.

I didn't really have a serious career

before FISH. I worked at a gym and did that in the evenings and I cleaned windows

during the summer time in between school semesters. I ended up liking it and

liking the schedule and no nights, no weekends, kept me around after college.

Nobody needs experience. The training that they provide us is awesome.

Anybody can come out being a window cleaner after the two-week training that

they give us.

Before I started working here I didn't really have a clue on how

to clean windows like just getting the spray bottle with a napkin doesn't

really do the job. Turns out it's pretty easy to learn.

It's very flexible I mean

most FISH franchises out there, you have options you can go get more work once

you're done or you just go home and enjoy the rest of your day.

I have another job you know I'm a bartender and this works out perfectly for me.

And I take night classes two days a week. It really frees up enough time so

I can work on my schooling

I have a lot of pride my work because I'm able to clean up the storefront.

That's the first impression you see at a location and it's awesome because I'm a

big part of that.

I typically get to the office first thing in the morning

The manager willl give me my workload for the day, whatever my quota is. When I get done

with the work that I have provided for me I can go out and do sales if I want

to. There's tons of opportunities to make more money.

What made you want to start working for FISH?

A friend of mine told me about FISH and

I applied, I got hired, they didn't need a college degree or anything like that and

they trained me on everything I needed to know.

It's definitely a nice financially

stable job that doesn't require much experience

the more money I can make.

[off camera talking]

[laughing]

What is it a bittery flaky crust?

buttery flaky crust

Before I was completely clueless. I had no

idea how to even hold a squeegee but after training and everything I feel

like I'm the Michael Jordan of window cleaning.

A window cleaning prodigy or something.

I feel like I'm the wizard of window cleaning.

Buttery flaky crust

[off camera] Maybe just ask him, you know, like, what are you doing tonight or something...

Uhhh

I'm going home to my wife.

You guys can cut that part out if you want.

Life's Pivotal Moments - Duration: 0:58.

What's up guys I'm here with Pam at our misfits pop-up event. I want to know what is one pivotal moment

in your life had led you to becoming the person that you are today?

One pivotal moment I think many pivotal moments of

kind of forced independence where you kind of just have to do things for yourself and

that's made me more independent today and more adventurous.

Sometimes I think some people have a lot of supportive people around them and you still need support but at the same time

you kind of just need to be pushed out onto your own so you can be independent and I think you can be stronger.

So all the parents out there who

love their kids and maybe are helping them a little too much might be hurting them in the long run.

I had the opposite where I didn't get any help

So a happy medium will be good, but it led me to be the person who I am today.

Love that! She said she's not a natural on video. You killed that!

I'm not! [Laughter]

TRILOGY OF LIFE - Walking with Dinosaurs - "Dakotadon" - Duration: 1:23.

Below him a column of iguanodons stretches along a beach

Grazing the edge of a dense forest

a thousand tons of dinosaur are on the move

Hundreds of mouths are searching for a. Fresh place to satisfy their enormous appetites

One reason iguanodon are so successful is that they have developed a, new, way of tackling cretaceous plants

Most dinosaurs can, only crudely slice food with, their teeth but

Iguanodon are the first herbivores to have back teeth that can grind up vegetation before swallowing

This ability to chew speeds digestion of even the toughest plant material

Good Food, Good Life, 365 - 4th of July Parfait - Duration: 2:45.

FOOD GOOD LIFE 365, SUE'S

GETTING READY FOR 4TH OF JULY

CELEBRATIONS.

>> IT'S ALWAYS FUN TO HAVE A

SPECIAL DESSERT FOR THE 4TH OF

JULY.

SO TODAY I'M MAKING A RED, WHITE

AND BLUE PARFAIT WITH ICE CREAM,

A RHUBARB BLUEBERRY SAUCE AND

FRESH RASPBERRIES AND LITTLE

SURPRISE AT THE TOP.

I'M GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW EASY

IT IS TO MAKE THIS SAUCE.

YOU CAN MAKE IT TOMORROW, IF YOU

WANT.

START AHEAD, KEEP IT IN THE

FRIDGE, WHEN YOU ARE READY TO

SERVE DESSERT, YOU CAN PUT IT

TOGETHER REALLY QUICK.

THE SAUCE, I HAVE ALREADY

STARTED.

SO I PUT 3 CUPS OF SLICED

RHUBARB AND 1/2 CUP OF BROWN

SUGAR INTO A MEDIUM SIZED SAUCE

PAN, COOKED IT ON MEDIUM LOW

HEAT FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES.

THE RHUBARB BROKE DOWN, IT IS

KIND OF THICK, THAT'S EXACTLY

WHAT YOU WANT.

THEN I'M GOING TO ADD 2 CUPS OF

FRESH BLUEBERRIES.

YOU COULD USE FROZEN, IF YOU'VE

GOT THAT.

AND A LITTLE BIT OF GRATED ZEST.

THAT'S FROM ONE LEMON.

THE ZEST IS JUST THE COLORED

PART OF THE PEELING.

1 TABLESPOON OF FRESH LEMON

JUICE.

AND I'M GOING TO STIR THAT UP.

PUT IT BACK ON THE HEAT AND COOK

IT PROBABLY FOR ANOTHER 10

MINUTES.

I WILL MASH IT A LITTLE BIT

WHILE IT IS COOKING SO THAT THE

BLUEBERRIES BREAK DOWN A LITTLE

BIT TOO.

RIGHT AT THE END OF THE COOKING

TIME, I'M GOING TO ADD JUST 1/2

TEASPOON OF CORN STARCH THAT I

MIX WITH A COUPLE -- MAYBE A

TEASPOON OF WATER.

THEN USE YOUR CLEAN FINGER AND

MIX IT UP SO YOU KNOW THAT CORN

STARCH IS ALL DISSOLVED AND THEN

YOU CAN ADD IT.

I WOULD ADD IT AT THE END OF THE

COOKING TIME.

JUST LET IT COOK A LITTLE BIT

LONGER UNTIL IT'S NICE AND

THICK.

AND YOU WILL WIND UP WITH A

BEAUTIFUL SAUCE LIKE THIS.

SEE HOW THICK IT IS?

NOW THIS IS GOOD ON NOT ONLY ICE

CREAM, BUT YOU CAN PUT IT ON

PANCAKES AND WAFFLES AND TOAST.

YOU WILL FIND LOTS OF USES FOR

IT.

THEN THE SURPRISE TOPPING, TAKE

YOUR FAVORITE PASTRY DOUGH, CUT

IT INTO LITTLE STAR SHAPES, BAKE

IT AT 350 FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES

AND THOSE LITTLE STARS WILL BE

OUR TOPPING ON OUR PARFAIT.

I'M GOING TO START WITH A LITTLE

BIT OF SAUCE IN THE SERVING

DISH.

AND THEN A NICE SCOOP OF ICE

CREAM.

YOU CAN USE VANILLA OR REALLY

ANY FLAVOR YOU WANT.

AND THEN A LITTLE BIT MORE

SAUCE.

A FEW FRESH RASPBERRIES BECAUSE

WE WANT THAT NICE RED.

AND AT THE TOP, ONE OF OUR

LITTLE BAKED PASTRY STARS.

THERE WE HAVE A FUN 4TH OF JULY

RED, WHITE AND BLUE PARFAIT.

I'M SUE DOEDEN SHARING GOOD FOOD
