FRANCE or AUSTRALIA - Which Country Is Better? | World Cup 2018 - Duration: 6:26.
Hey guys, this is Leroy Kenton here and welcome back to FTD facts
And I'm super excited to do this which is better episode between France and Australia
something's gonna
jump Right into it because like these two teams are gonna be battling out at the 2018 FIFA World Cup this match hasn't happened yet
But let me know down below which team do you want to win so starting off now with a country of France?
France is a secular and democratic
country the word France comes from the Franks
Who are a Germanic people whose name in itself was derived from the Frankish franc?
Meaning free it spans 12 different time zones more than any other country in the world
All thanks to its overseas territories
the total population of France is 65 point to 3 million people and has a
Population of a hundred and eighteen point to four people per square kilometre France has a total land area of 550
1695 square kilometers, okay
So now we're going down under I'm gonna be introducing Australia Austria is a sixth largest country in land area
And is the only nation to govern an entire continent it has 10% of the world's biodiversity
And a great number of its native plants and animals
Exist nowhere else on the planet today Australia is one of the world's most multicultural
Countries it has a population of twenty four point seven seven million, and it's population densities
3.22 people per square
Kilometers the total land area of Australia is seven million six hundred and ninety two thousand and twenty four square kilometers
Alright, so now
Let's take a look at some of their FIFA World Cup stats and see how they match up against one another
France grabbed your spot of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia
By topping Europe's Group A and it's continuing a run of appearing at every single tournament since the year
1994 so the total appearances at the World Cup for France have been a total of 14
And they have won the World Cup once
Currently their FIFA position is in 9th spot and their star player is
Antoine Griezmann
for Australia now
Australia became the 31st team to secure their place in Russia and the number of times Australia appeared in the World Cup was four times
But they haven't want any World Cup championships as yet their FIFA ranking is a lot lower than France at
39th spot now their star player is Tim Cahill all right so moving on from FIFA
Over into the money now the currency that France uses is the Euro and one euro equals one point two three US dollars
Australia uses the Australian dollar and one Australian dollar equals zero point seven seven
US Dollars France is one of the world's eighth leading
exporters trade represents more than 60% of the country's GDP
but the country is experiencing strong trade deficits imports are developing quickly as the French population buys a
Substantial amount of imported goods, which are sold at cheaper prices on the local market compared with products that are made in France
France's GDP is a total of two point four seven trillion dollars and their GDP per capita is
41 point five thousand dollars their total export according to the latest numbers were at four hundred and eighty-five billion
Dollars the top experts for France were planes helicopters and/or spacecrafts
Then we have canned medicaments and then cars follow
imports for France total at five hundred and forty billion dollars and their top three imports are cars crude petroleum and
Aircrafts so that was a bit of a closer look into Frances economy now. Let's look at Australia's economy
Australia is a very stable nation with a highly skilled workforce and one of the strongest performing economies in the entire world
It is a world's twelfth largest economy and a top performing nation on almost every measure of excellence
If you look from health to wealth from doing business all the way to education and Australia's GDP is
1.2 trillion dollars
And they have a GDP per capita of forty six point eight thousand dollars their export stood at 159 billion dollars
And they have iron ore coal briquettes and gold at zero op exports. They're in ports as of the latest numbers are
181 billion dollars and their top imports where cars
Refined petroleum and computers all right so obviously these two nations are doing amazing
economically, but which of these nations is more expensive or cheaper to live in when we compare the cost of living in France to
Australia we see that in France food is 10% more expensive housing is 8% less
Clothing is 4% less transportation is 6% less and personal care
11% less and entertainment
10% less so when we average everything out the cost of living in France is just 4% cheaper than in Australia
All right, and now the final stats that I want to look at is their total national, debt and their debt per citizen
France's national debt is two point six five trillion dollars u.s.
And their debt per citizen is forty thousand nine hundred ninety nine dollars Australia's national
Debt is five hundred and seventeen billion dollars and their debt per citizen is
Twenty-one thousand four hundred forty seven dollars all right guys so that was pretty interesting
I love seeing how France matched up with Australia and guys. Let me know down in the comment section which country

Trans or Nonbinary? Which term I prefer & why - Duration: 4:18.
Hey everyone i'm Sam Kayden
And on this channel you'll learn more about queer life beyond binaries to inspire you to live happy fulfilling lives as your true selves.
Today I'm going to be talking about the difference between the words trans and non-binary and which term I prefer the most
[upbeat music]
So before I get into a little storytelling here, since we're talking about definitions
I'm just going to give a little overview of what the words trans and non-binary mean. So if you already know what these terms mean
feel free to skip forward about 30 seconds
Transgender is a word that refers of someone whose gender identity is different than the identity they were assigned at birth
So in most cases, doctors take a quick look at a baby's genitals
And that's how someone's assigned a gender at birth, based on their genitals or their biological sex characteristics
And in almost all cases babies are assigned either male or female
If we think of the term "transgender" as an umbrella, there are many different identities that fall under that umbrella
Now binary is one of those identities
And it's a term that refers to those of us who don't fit into a strictly male or female box
Not all non-binary people identify as trans, but many do. Now, quick disclaimer:
I'm only speaking from my own experience and my own
introduction to these words.
And when I first discovered that I was something other than cis, I used the term genderqueer
And many people use the terms genderqueer and non-binary interchangeably, so I'm going to be using both here
So I know that I've been non-binary and genderqueer my whole life
But when I first started
Understanding that I was something other than cis, it was after coming across the word "genderqueer" in a news article.
This was about four years ago now
and at the time, non-binary identities weren't really visible in mainstream media and pop culture or even within the queer community
So my introduction to the word genderqueer wasn't within the context of trans identities
Genderqueer was sort of talked about as its own thing as being separate from transness
or at least that's how I understood the term at the time
So I think partly because the term genderqueer wasn't referred to as being under that trans umbrella
I didn't connect with the word trans for a long time.
The only representations of transness that I had were people who were binary transgender. So people who were trans women and trans men. And in the last
Few years representation has really blossomed in pop culture, in media and within the queer community
There's still a long way to go but non binary representation today is nothing like it was four years ago
So as the years went by I learned more about what trans meant and what
the actual definition of trans was. And that lead me to realize that the term trans does actually apply to me
Why? Because I wasn't assigned non-binary at birth.
It's as simple as that. So it doesn't matter that my gender exists in a very fluid state and changes on a regular basis.
It doesn't matter that I don't consider myself solely a trans man
I was assigned female at birth. Not non-binary, not gender fluid, not genderqueer, and so I am trans.
But the terms transgender and non-binary don't have the same connotations to me
The way we experience language as human beings is of course individual to our own life experience and the way we've heard
words being used growing up and the way they're used now. So the first time that I heard the word trans it was
in a negative context. I was in middle school and someone had called someone else trans in a derogatory way
And so I asked what it meant and the way that it was described to me was as something
disgusting or something worthy of being made fun of
It was not a good word. And I didn't hear much more of the word until I was in university studying psychology
and transgender came up in an Abnormal Psych class. So trans was described to me as a medical condition or
something wrong or abnormal.
So I think I felt more comfortable with the word genderqueer in the beginning because of the fact that I didn't see it as
a trans identity
Because I thought for me to be trans, that would mean I had to be a trans man and only a trans man
Genderqueer just didn't have all that negative weight that the term transgender did in my experience growing up. And don't get me wrong
There are certainly people who align the term non-binary with negativity, too
But I just don't think it carries the same
History and weight for me personally, than the word trans does. So I clearly have a lot of internalized transphobia
That I have to continue to work through on a daily basis
But one of the ways that I try to work through that internalized transphobia is by calling myself trans.
So yes
I do prefer the term non-binary and I use a far more often than I use trans
But I do consider myself a member of the trans community
I am trans and it's accurate to call me trans. Many non-binary people refer to themselves as non-binary transgender
Which is also accurate for me
I just don't use it as often because it's a bit of a mouthful.
If you're a trans and/or non-binary I'd love to hear which
terms you prefer and why. I just started a new Instagram account so you can reach out to me there
I'm @samkayden, and I post regularly about queer life beyond binaries. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you next week
