How To Do Affiliate Marketing On Youtube - Duration: 14:31.
Alright, welcome back. Today, we're talking about YouTube and about
affiliate marketing with different ways that you can monetize YouTube channels,
so stay tuned. Alright, hey I'm here with Nate Woodbury. We're going to talk about
YouTube marketing, which should be no surprise to anyone who knows Nate or has
seen any of his stuff because that's pretty much what you do. That's what you do
baby, I mean that's your lifeblood right? Yep, now now I call myself a YouTube
producer. I don't know if that existed before but well that's a very high and
mighty sounding title. But probably fairly accurate because a producer is
supposed to kind of from you know soup to nuts, have you heard that expression
before? Okay, I just want to make sure you know
they're supposed to kind of know everything about everything especially
when it comes to a certain project or some initiative. So the idea here in this
particular interview is to talk a little bit about YouTube marketing as it
relates to well specifically affiliate marketing and for the benefit of those
and by that of course I mean me, who don't know what that necessarily means.
Can you tell us what affiliate marketing is? Yeah so you become an affiliate of
somebody else's product or somebody else's service? So Amazon is a great
example, where you have a video and you could feature one of their products in
your video or something and put a link down to it below. And because you're an
affiliate with Amazon, they click a link, they go to the Amazon page,
they buy that product, you then get a commission from that. So you can
become an affiliate for anybody based on that. I see. Okay, now what would a person
have to have sort of a minimum threshold of visits to their site in order for
them to even be considered an affiliate with someone like that? It depends. The
answer is yes. For some like with Amazon, you can join and I think you have
to apply but it doesn't take a whole lot to become an affiliate. But once you have
a higher volume, they'll pay you a higher percentage.
So he'll get... now, do they discover you? Do they come to you? Like it or mostly.. This
is a deliberate choice that I would have, I would say. You know, I cover
a topic in my videos that I think would be really relevant to people who do
gardening. Home gardening, whatever. So I'm going to reach out to Amazon or whoever
it is and say can we enter an affiliate marketing relationship? Is that how that
works? or do they go, "ooh it's that we know you." It's both. Usually,
it's in the beginning especially it's you approaching them and just and
they'll usually have a link on their website of how to apply to be an
affiliate. Oh. But a lot of times, when you get bigger, they'll approach you to say,
"hey, this will be a good fit. And so the so the arrangement is, if I want to make
money, then the money is based on products that are sold by clicking
through my site to their product? Yep, right. Then all that's
automatically tracked. So you know how many clicks and how many purchases.
Got you. Now, you mentioned that you don't need to be big to start affiliate
marketing. I think that was kind of inherent in what you just said there.
Anybody could really kind of start anything and if it has a certain
connection to an affiliates product. But tell me a little bit more about that you
don't need to really be big to get going. Well, it's a good place to start but when
you have a small following, you have small views, expect the earnings to be
pretty small as well. But when you have something, a really niche like I do
a lot of outsourcing to the Philippines. And I've made a few videos just talking
about you know, how do you find people in the Philippines or how do you train them
or you know just answering questions. And I've put an affiliate link over to a
resource where it's the website that I use to find people in the Philippines.
And so I've referred people there and it's been one of the easiest,
easiest affiliate commissions I'd make. Like I just make a video answering
questions about it or explain my experience. People go there, they sign up
and then I get a monthly check. Really? Every single month so... This is
just.. I mean what are we talking about? Just loose change here? I mean it's like
a token commission? I still get a few hundred dollars each month from it.
Well that doesn't... I mean that's a tank of gas right there.
I mean who's going to complain. There's money to be made as what you're
saying, in ways that maybe people aren't even aware of. Because someone like me, I
might think well, in order for me to make money on YouTube, I've got to get
to a point where I have a bajillion viewers and even then that only
translates into a $1,000 a month or whatever. Clearly, that's not
necessarily the case. Yeah, because you're talking about Adsense advertising, where...
That's YouTube. The way of monetizing on YouTube right?
It's called Adsense? Yeah, just when you see ads or commercials before YouTube
videos. Creators are getting paid through through that Adsense program and you're
right. You have to have millions of views before it results in thousands of
dollars. So, as a small business owner, you can become an affiliate and one person
makes a purchase and you get a commission right there. And other people
who have multiple affiliates then or is it an exclusive thing or some you know...
Every video could have its... You could talk about something different. Refer to
something else. So, I mean I've got another example. There's a shopping cart
or autoresponder system that I've used for a long time and it's called one
shopping cart. And they have an affiliate program but I liked it so much and I
noticed that they had a different program. I forget what they called it but
I contacted them and said, "hey can I white label this? And I created my own
version. White label was that? I created my own brand called Pro cart.
Okay, I have a website pro cart org and so instead of sending people to
the one shopping cart website link, I would send them to pro cart which then
linked into their system and I haven't made a video about pro cart for
several years and I still get hundreds of dollars a month, affiliate commissions
from referring people to it. Is it more common than the average Joe, like myself
would even be aware of that companies do affiliate marketing? Yeah. I
mean because what I'm hearing, is that if I were to do a really great blog on
hiking, it's not a real reach. I could have gone with something like moth wing
polishing, whatever. I don't think that's a...
That's a real niche. It's very delicate. But you know, so if I did a really great
vlog on hiking or something like that. I mean, I might want to go and look at
Timberland or you know just somebody. I would just go to like their website and
see is there anything on here about how to have an affiliate relationship?
So, there's there's two ways that you could do that. One, you could do an affiliate
link and you've got to be genuine to your audience that people are watching
because they like to watch your hiking videos and then they say, "well hey and
buy these shoes." So you don't want to be a sellout? Yeah. Completely. Right. So only
represent products that you like. Make sense. Yeah. But and there are there are rules and
guidelines as far as if you're promoting something and you're going to benefit from
it. You've got a state, "hey, this you know I am getting compensated here this is an
affiliate link where they'll they will pay me. But I really like this shoe and
so I am recommending it. You know, take that for what it's worth." So that's one
way of doing it. It just as an affiliate but you can also do a sponsored video,
where you approach Timberland and say, hey, I'm going to make a hiking video. I'm
want to feature your shoe and talk about it and you know get lots of
different angles of shots and be climbing up rocks, do you want to pay me
to do that?" And then that wouldn't shock them? I mean.. It's pretty common. Budgets
of 25,000 to $100,000, when you've got a channel that gets millions of views,
that's very common. So there's kind of different levels of
potential income from affiliate marketing? Based on your... Affiliates
kind of the starting spot where you can start. You don't have to have any
following. You can just start sending traffic and get that tracked and then
when you get a bigger following, then you start calling that sponsorships or
they'll actually pay you proactively even before sales are made.
That's where you start wearing their hats and their jerseys. Oh this is me.
That's your own, be the hero. So I've heard tell that you've espoused the
concept that a small tight-knit community is better than a massive loose
community. Explain what that means because again, sort of my initial take is.
is volume, volume, volume. Millions of people ching-ching-ching more money. Why would
smaller more loyal? Check this out. So I have a friend. He's got a channel. That's
got 9 million subscribers. It's a real fun channel. Videos are
really entertaining. Really fun to watch. Now by the way, let me just... real good
keep that thought on hold. When you talk about nine million subscribers, does
that mean that those people are receiving some sort of notification that
there's a new video ready for them to watch or do they have to opt in as
subscribers, meaning... Yes and no. I'm going to keep my eye on it. I mean, what was a subscriber
mean? So, when you're a subscriber on YouTube, if you go to your YouTube
homepage or kind of screen, your own screen? Then YouTube will show you
videos that of channels that you're subscribed to or that you've seen
recently. Okay, it'll wants to guess which ones do you want to watch. So,
if you subscribe to a channel but you haven't really watched any of those
videos for a while, it'll kind of stop showing that to you but there's also an
alert. You can click the bell. There's little bell. I see that bell with the number.
And if you click the bell, then every time a video is uploaded to that channel,
you'll actually get an email from YouTube to notify you. Here's a new video.
So there's kind of two different ways that you can subscribe... So the actual
subscription itself doesn't mean that you're going to receive, outside of the
YouTube realm, any kind of notification that it's time to watch another Nate
Woodberry video? Correct, yes it's kind of a stepping stone to get there. Okay.
so those subscribers are good... So the term subscription that's...I'm trying to build
your case. I don't even know what I'm talking about. Is the
subscription base doesn't necessarily mean 9 million loyal and alerted
people who know there's a new Nate video today, right? Right, okay but he does... on
that specific channel, they're very entertaining and he does have a lot
of people that return each day to watch. I'm one of them with my son. We
like watching those videos. But that channel is mainly monetized through
sponsorships and advertising like we've been talking about. But when we're
talking about a small tight-knit community, there's another channel, this
is one that I've had a part in creating. Where we've got over 70,000
subscribers now. So, compared to 9 million, this is nothing it's like a puny channel
but yet, we're generating really big revenue just like this other one.
Because we're not using an affiliate link. We're actually linking to our own
website and selling our own cources and so, we're generating five figures, multiple
five figures weekly. You're basically seeing those 70,000 subscribers as your
own client base. They're potential customers directly for your products.
Right, so that the videos themselves are not as entertaining. We don't have
people coming back every day to be entertained. Right. But the the star of
the show, has been positioned as a hero. To be the hero right? He's the
expert in his niche and he has products that he sells and programs that he
offers relating to that that niche. So although it's a small tight-knit
community, they see him as an expert. He is the expert of that community. So
really valuable. Obviously, but if there were 9 million who are watching him.
So it's not bad to have 9 million viewers. Is what you're saying is that
even if you only have 70,000 you can still do very well? Yeah you can still...
Potentially are buyers of... Yeah and but it's foreign to a lot of
YouTubers to think that you can have a seven-figure income with only 70,000
subscribers. Interesting, so there's a lot more work going on behind the scenes
than just creating the YouTube video especially in this case. He's got to come
up with course material. He's got to shoot other things. Well you do. You do
this. This is part of what you do. Yeah? Yeah, yeah that's nice. So...The other
thing to point out is, there's many more ways to monetize than just the YouTube
advertising right? So we can start with affiliate links, affiliate marketing,
their sponsorships, there's creating your own products, there's you can create a
whole business behind it. Not just making videos and hoping it makes you... I love
that because really, when you think about it, all the work that goes in to making
good videos enough that even a million people will watch, if that only
translates into two grand a month or whatever, and you figure that you could
call the hours I put in making that video writing and editing it. All
the equipment, all the gear, all the lights, all the sound had to do all of
that and I got two grand because I got a million people to watch. You'd
think a million people would translate into way more than that and it
doesn't and what you're saying is is wow you're really limiting yourself if
you're just focused on Adsense? There's so much more revenue out there even for
much much smaller viewership. I love that. Well, next time we'll find out how much
money Nate actually has. Thanks for joining. Was this video helpful? Did you
enjoy the the style of the video? Let us know because we're trying something new
here. Also, if you have any questions on specific topics, comment
about it because then you'll give us ideas of things that we can film videos
about. What should they do if they liked this specific episode? Click the thing
that says like. Yeah, like it and you know if you have a comment stuff that he just
said, do that. And they subscribe. We want subscribers. Oh you want to subscribe. If
you don't subscribe, how will we know if we should keep doing these and then what
would I what you should really do is, copy the link to the video and like
email it out to everybody. Everyone that you know. Everyone you know. Your whole
email list. Share it in Facebook. Go into the messages and just message this
video to everybody. So go crazy because who doesn't want to make money on
YouTube? I mean it's so easy. Look how easy it is. Thanks guys.

Ew! Oh, my god!
- What?
- I put the contact solution in my bowl.
- Isn't that what you're supposed to do?
- No, the actual bottle.

Uh.
What is this?
Oh, that's--
- Ugh!

- Oh, I got it.
(laughing)
My spoon is covered again.
- Where is the contact solution?
- I don't know.
Here it is.
- Ugh!
(laughing)
What?
There's like a ton of stuff on it.
- Yep.
It fell--
It fell in my slime.
More like my shaving cream.
(laughing)
Ugh, I have stuff on my--
What is that?
- I think I put a little too much contact solution in.
- I wonder what color this is?
But I can't get it open 'cuz my hands are too slippery.
My hands are too slippery!
- Okay, I think mine is definitely slime.
- Okay.
- Is yours slime yet?
- No.
- I'm gonna add my foam beads.
Yes.
- Where did the spoon go?
- I don't really know how to do this.
- Oh, wait.
Is there any glitter in there?
Wait.
Oh, it is.
- Oh, I can already tell I'm gonna love this.
- I wanna touch it.
- No. - Aw.
- Your hands are fluffy.
- Fluffy.
No, they just have shaving cream on them.
It's not slime yet.
Is it coming out the side?
(squishy noise) (laughing)
- What?
Aw, this feels so good!
- I'm gonna add more glitter.
There.
Whoa.
- [Marissa] Aw, this feels so good.
- [Brookie] Oh, there's too much glitter in here.
- [Marissa] Oh.
(upbeat music)
- [Brookie] Where'd my spoon go?
(upbeat music)
- Oh, no, I spilled it!
- Aw, it's not coming together.
- I'm gonna make that noise.
- Oh, yours is already slime?
- Yeah.
I think I'm done.
- I've been stirring this for so long.
I think it's coming together,
but it's still sticky,
but it's slime.
It's just really sticky.
- I think I added too much contact solution in mine
because it doesn't stretch very well.
Okay, are you ready for the reveal?
- No.
- I wanna see what color I did mine.
- Ready, one, two, three, go.
- Ooh!
I like it.
- I used like a whole entire thing of contact solution
and it's still sticky.
What is going on?
- Mine is amazing.
I definitely added too much contact solution though
because it's like really rubbery.
A lot of floam.
Look, like my foam?
- Oops.
- You know what I wanna do with slime?
I want to fill the entire slime up with the beads
and have it feel real crunchy
'cuz I don't think mine is crunchy enough.
(snapping)
- Maybe we'll do that in another video.
- Crunchy crunchy slime.
What kinds of slime would you guys like us to do?
Comment down below.
- And do you think we should mix all of our slimes?
Like all.
I've seen a bunch of YouTubers do that.
- Okay, there's an amazing slime video coming up
and it is gonna look so cool
and you just have to wait and see.
So, subscribe to see that
and it's gonna be so cool.
One word, satisfying.
- On our channel, we've made fluffy slime,
baking soda slime, I guess, mermaid slime.
- Two-ingredient slime, fluffy slime, crunchy slime.
I really have no idea what happened to your slime.
- Like, I added all--
I made this a million times.
A million. - You were blindfolded.
- A million, a million, a million.
I should know this by now.
I think I put way too much shaving cream in
'cuz it just feels like shaving cream.
- Fluffy?
You have slime in your hair.
- Oh, that's sad.
Oh, look at my pants.
(laughing)
It's so sad.
- It matches your shirt.
- Yay.
- [Both] Thanks for watching.
- I hope you enjoyed the video.
- Make sure to subscribe down below if you haven't already
and ring the notification bell.
See you next time.
- [Both] Bye.

Barack And Michelle Obama Reemerge To Make UNBELIEVABLE Announcement - Duration: 12:12.
Barack And Michelle Obama Reemerge To Make UNBELIEVABLE Announcement
Barack Obama reemerged to try and pretend he is still president this weekend by tweeting
a message to the anti-Second Amendment activists marching all around the country.
"Michelle and I are so inspired by all the young people who made today's marches happen,"
Obama tweeted.
"Keep at it.
You're leading us forward.
Nothing can stand in the way of millions of voices calling for change."
It should be noted that during Obama's first four years in office, Democrats held the House
and a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.
This means that he could have passed any legislation he wanted, but he did nothing about guns.
On numerous occasions, Obama has praised the idea of national gun confiscation by pointing
to Australia's continent-wide forced gun buyback program as an ideal.
"Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown,"
Obama said in June of 2014.
"And Australia just said, well, that's it, we're not doing, we're not seeing
that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven't had a mass
shooting since.
Our levels of gun violence are off the charts.
There's no advanced, developed country that would put up with this."
Hillary Clinton said something similar in October of 2015:
"You know, Australia's a good example, Canada's a good example, [and] the UK's
a good example.
Why?
Because each of them had mass killings, Australia had a huge mass killing about 20 or 25 years
ago.
Canada did as well, so did the UK.
In reaction, they passed much stricter gun laws.
In the Australian example, as I recall, that was a buyback program.
The Australian government as part of trying to clamp down on the availability of … weapons
offered a good price for buying hundreds of thousands of guns and basically clamped down
going forward, in terms of having more of a background check approach – more of a
permitting approach."

Equipment To Make YouTube Videos on a Budget | High Quality Videos - Duration: 6:58.
Do you wanna know how to make youtube videos on a budget? Do you want to know how
to make general videos or pro gaming setup well the math ninja will show you
how he makes YouTube videos on a budget so the first thing you need is a camera
to film duh so what are you going to use, gonna go spend $500?
nah just gonna get your smartphone right so if you have a smartphone that is
about less than 4 years old it is good enough to film okay so what are you gonna
need next right well no one likes a shaky cam right who's gonna look at it
if I was shaking would you want to watch no you wouldn't so what we're
gonna get is a tripod now because people realize that Iphones
are such good cameras we have an iPhone attachment alright so look at this
little simple spider attachment which you can amalgamate you can actually
wrap this around trees and whatnot but more importantly just get your iPhone
pop it in there and just be able to place it down and put it in front of you
to film really simple and this attachment is very cheap it's only about
up to 20 bucks with the iPhone attachment which is expensive itself and
I've left a link in the description for you to buy one from if you live in
Australia America or even left links for Canada and UK eBay or Amazon depending
on what you prefer so next we need to be able to hear you right you can't hear
the person they're clicking off so what I use is a simple lapel mic right that's
all you do if you clip it onto your shirt gets the cord plug it into your
phone and perfect sound it's not on now because I'm not using my phone to film
but that's it right and I have a six metre chord this goes forever
and you want a 6 meter cord because it allows you to film at long distances
otherwise it will be very annoying to film for small cords so six metres just
for an extra 5 10 bucks you'll be able to go from
one and a half minutes to 6 meters big difference yeah and I've left a link in
the description for that so now we need to make sure people can see you clearly
right they can hear you but I need to be able to see you now and what I use is a
professional softbox light only cost 30 bucks but it has a huge difference
as you can see here the difference clicking it on and off alright it's a
huge difference and it's a must especially if you want to go a high-end
professional end for $30 it makes your lighting look professional, professional
natural light without having to leave your dark lonley house moving on
so basically with the iPhone tripod attachment the lapel mic and the softbox
light looking at around maybe 60 70 bucks and you can start making high-quality
videos from your home with your phone camera so now let's step it up let's
imagine say you want to make some real high quality stuff well what are you
gonna need next well I'm gonna start with a chroma green screen right so
if you want to place your body in any background or place in the world we use
a green screen now to use a green screen you must have the softbox
light, green screens cannot have shadows otherwise It won't work look at me on the
screen now perfect right that's because I've got perfect lighting and my green
screen so if we want to kick things up to the next level so do pro gaming like
livestreams we're gonna need a webcam to connect to our computer which
I'm filming on now so I use the C920 Logitech webcam it films in 1080p
has its own inbuilt microphone so it's a camera and a microphone and it only cost
about 120 in Australia and even in the u.s. it's $60 super cheap so that
combined with the softbox and the green screen will allow you to make live
stream gaming or just videos where you're playing games and people can see
you like you can see me on the screen now perfect I look mint
oh right and again I've left links for the webcam in the
description and the green screen the last thing I want to mention is tubebuddy so
now I've shown you all the equipment you need to make professional-looking videos
on a budget what's a high quality video if no one watches it so what tubebuddy
is it's the ultimate growth tool for YouTube so it has heaps of benefits but
the main two that I really love is it helps you pick the right keywords to get
your videos ranking high in youtube search and allows you to make
professional-looking thumbnails which is super important for people wanting to
click on your videos it's only cost about nine dollars a month on pro and if
you have under a thousand subs you have 50% off that's 4.50 a month it is super
cheap and very affordable and it's a must-have and it also allows you to spy
on other people's videos and see where their keywords or what their keywords
are and how they rank so again the link is in the description for that so now
I've given you all the tools you need to start making high-quality YouTube videos
now that doesn't mean you're gonna succeed straight away just look at
Manchester City about 10 years ago they got bought out by a billionaire and he
started buying all the best tools around the world and they didn't have instant
success but look at them now right won multiple trophies and they've had a
record season in the EPL so I'm just saying is give it time you got the right
tools so I'm giving all the right tools you need to succeed just with practice
give it time and you'll start making high-quality videos get lots of views
and that's it so all the links in the description are affiliate links what
that means is when you click on it and buy something I'll get a small
commission right a few dollars here there so you get all the awesome items
you normally buy at no extra cost it's a win-win you buy what you want and I get
a few cents and every cent counts well you don't even have to buy the videos
interlinked as long as you use those eBay or Amazon links to buy whatever you
want I'll get a few cents and every cent counts right so I'm here to help you
guys and I would appreciate if you just help me with a few cents by buying
what you normally buy just using the links in the description so I've got
links for eBay Amazon for countries Australia United States Canada and UK so
guys if you found this information useful make sure to comment
below if I've helped you in starting your YouTube journey or giving you great
tips on how to improve your videos

It's time to make Congress prove it can curb its out-of-control spending habit - Duration: 12:49.
we're so an optimistic music you know we could use Black Sabbath kind of
depresses me uplifting positive show I'd say maybe it's just finding the friend
makes a good point just turn off the lights go back to bed to bed right you
know what let's start again okay we're gonna start with the music and we're
gonna have a happy day and Mark roll it
you cut into our legal immigration talking point but it's okay Abby's in
for Angela don't ask me how I know yeah she's over covering the Royal Wedding
this week she is there already filming on the streets of London and you'll see
those reports starting tomorrow what a fun assignment but I'll be with you guys
the rest the week I hope that's okay fine the father of the bride not going
well the latest report right the brothers stressed him out got sick
oh it's a it's a it's a real sofa saga will bring you all those details that's
why we have dispatched our best team over there in the meantime we start with
a Fox News Alert despite threats from North Korea the summit is still
apparently on at this hour all right here we go
the White House says nothing has changed after the rogue regime claimed they
would not participate and get this a one-sided discussion to give up their
nukes what was that even brought up grip Jenkins is live for us in Washington DC
with the breaking details grip what are you hearing good morning guys are they
negotiating or is this a real threat to scrap the summit overnight North Korea's
Vice foreign minister issuing a statement through state-run media saying
if the u.s. is trying to drive us into a corner to force our unilateral nuclear
abandonment we will no longer be interested in such dialogue and cannot
but reconsider our proceeding to the DPRK US summit this after the North
canceled a key meeting with South Korea and threatened withdrawal over what they
called provocative military ruckus as the u.s. and South Korea maintained
military drills dubbed mak'st under which the Pentagon calls routine annual
training in the State Department warning against getting ahead of our
here would not get ahead of ourselves here let's not get up ahead of ourselves
this news just came out we need to verify it get additional information on
that but we're going forward and planning our meetings next not but the
developments drew immediate criticism from former CIA director John Brennan
who accused the president of being enamored with the fire aim ready
policymaking process that is fraught with pitfalls as well as potential
disasters so here's where we are guys tox still set for June 12th the White
House says they'll continue preparations unless they hear differently directly
from North Korea a prediction here this morning stay tuned to Twitter we may
learn more directly from the president yes we always do alright great thank you
you gotta figure that Kim Chung on his people are saying look before this
summit when all the Weiland eat and healing is supposed to happen you've
already given away so much it's not the missile test you're dismantling your
nuke facilities you gave away the hostages it looks like Trump's winning
you got to do something to make it look like you're still a
player and so what does he do hey we're still negotiating okay we haven't given
away the store he wants to flex his muscles you're exactly right Steve look
he may be evil he may be irrational at Brian he's not stupid and ultimately kim
jeong-hoon is about kim jong-un what we've heard though repeatedly from the
president is he's not backing down he's gonna work with our allies with South
greedy's that's if they're gonna come to the negotiating table and they're not
gonna follow through on things they're promising we're gonna walk away from
this thing we I would know more about why they're doing this if I knew for
sure why they even got to this point where they made the offer to the
president about a one-on-one summit the president quickly says yes and after
that it's been smooth sailing much to the chagrin of all the president's
critics however their attack personally on John Bolton via 2003 you must own
it's almost the same adjectives again their decision to criticize our war
games when they never have military exercises which been on the books for
over a year and they never asked us not to do it and then the fact is they're
saying if you're just going to talk about denuclearizing and sanctions it's
not enough I just go back to the meeting in China last week what did they discuss
and does China know what we probably know and that is if you begin to relax
the sanctions between north and south there will not be no more north well I
think there's no more north China is not going to be happy with the peninsula
what a shiny care most about is the power in that region you're exactly
right China's the most important player continues to be when it comes to North
Korea but you know they're pulling this stuff out of thin air
none of these were problems until yesterday probably because Kim Jong Un's
got to feel like he's still got some skin in the game
we're gonna talk to White House press secretary Sarah Sanders live at 7:30
this morning about that all right well yesterday if you were watching the
president end a 37th annual national peace officers memorial honoring law
enforcement that have lost their live line of duty and he took that
opportunity to double down on our borders and securing our borders
protecting this country and talking about ms-13 and taking back control of
our streets here's a bit of what he said calling on Congress to secure our
borders support our border agents stop sanctuary cities and shut down policies
that release violent criminals back into our communities we don't want it any
longer we've had it enough is enough recently ms-13 gang members called for
the assassination of New York City peace officers so the gang could quote take
back the streets we are the ones who are taking back the streets so the president
was able to link he was absolutely moved by those who lost their lives in law
enforcement on that day and you saw him being move by when the officers came up
and talked about those lost in the battle those who's been wounded and he's
linked it up to ms-13 and we've noticed over the last few years is that it seems
like the war on terror is with our cops because the attacks are happening here
and guess what else was happening an attack on law enforcement while we're
also asking them to stop ms-13 and gangs at our border however I also think was
important to point out that the president sat down with Paul Ryan during
the day and said legislatively you got to get something done yeah he goes and
there's at least three Republicans and they thing get more who are pushing for
a doc effects along with some type of other
immigration reform for this Congress is through which is reasonable because
Republicans are it could very well lose power in six months well you got to keep
in mind while the president can do certain things with the administration
it's ultimately Congress the changes the laws now we did hear from the Attorney
General United States chef sessions about two weeks ago and he said that
going forward at the suggestion of the president and the administration that
illegals would be prosecuted who come into the country including those who are
caught trying to bring in children and then also yesterday in front of the
Senate Homeland Security Committee DHS secretary Kristen Nielsen was there and
she got into some back-and-forth with the senator from California regarding
the fact that how could the United States of America heartlessly rip
children out of the arms of their mothers this is some of the back and
forth your agency will be separating children from their parents and those
what we'll be doing is prosecuting parents who have broken the law just as
we do every day in the United States of America I can appreciate that but if
that parent has a four-year-old child what do you plan on doing with that
child the child under law goes to HHS for care
and custody they will be separated from their parents like my good in the United
States every day so Kirsten Hill said every day yes she kept saying of course
it's an emotional these are heartbreaking stories but ultimately
this is about following the law if you care so much about about the families
the emotional side what about the families that have lost someone that
they love because of illegal immigrants and criminals that are in this country
she mentioned Kate's time as an example of one of many so she was on laura
ingalls show last night here's what she said about that this a law as you know
and you know I had an exchange last week with a different senator that tried to
cut me off and said when know this is your philosophy and I said ma'am it's
not a philosophy it's the law if you enter our country illegally we will
refer you for prosecution and we will prosecute you but as you know for every
sob story we have 73 percent border assault increase with people like Kate
Steinle I mean where is the compassion for the flip side of this conversation
yes that was her last night on Laura Ingraham she
but it's a good point that it gets to the heart of what is the most important
part of this conversation and that is following the law standing through with
what we stand for as a country everything you said is right but there's
something else a signal to people in Nicaragua Ecuador Bolivia that I know
your life isn't great but your answer can't be grabbing your family and coming
to our border because you're not going to get in you have to send a message
there's a way to get in and there's a way not to get in and coming across
illegally you're going to be set your family will be separated if that's not
what you want don't try it and as well the President's
message Congress let's fix it let's fix it in a bipartisan way because that at
this stage is the only way it's gonna happen yeah well it is a busy news
morning a lot to get to Julian mealy with some
headlines good morning Jim good morning about those storms last
night your flight was delayed I think you're right incredible that yes it was
just landed after midnight LaGuardia last night the place everyone was asleep
on the ground hogeol many canceled yeah a lot of people are stuck out you made
it and you made it safely go though let's talk about that extreme weather
right now at least three people are dead as powerful storms rocked the Northeast
a little girl killed when a tree fell on a car in upstate New York falling trees
also blamed two more deaths in Connecticut
strong winds sending metal beams flying off of a roof in New York City and
thousands of people cramming into New York City's Grand Central Station
when the storm temporarily stopped trains a deadly explosion rocking a
California medical building and it looks like this was no accident the blast
responsible for killing a woman and injuring three others came from a
package investigators calling it an intentional detonation a chaotic scene
unfolding as you can imagine after the blast you can see first responders
rolling out children and cribs who were at daycare across the street four states
reporting primary results this morning starting in Pennsylvania president
Trump's pick congressman Lou Barletta beating out representative Jim
Christiana and the GOP Senate primary Mara Letta hopes to flip a blue seat
held by Bob Casey in November in Nebraska another Trump pick Republican
senator Deb Fischer will face Democrat Jane Raybould in November's Senate race
two gubernatorial races of note in Idaho Republican Brad little will face off
against Democrat Paul at Jordan and an Oregon Republican Newton Bueller will go
up against incumbent Kate brown eyes look your headlines I'll send it back to
you what's going on yeah all right I hope we get it all in next up sanctuary
backlash spreading across California today those lawmakers are bringing their
message to the White House one of them joins us next Plus this is the crazy a
three-year-old boy screen right steals the spotlight during his mom's wedding

How To Create A Business Succession Plan - Step Three: How To Handle Management Succession - Duration: 3:14.
Hi, I'm Rob Young, owner of Blue Dot Wealth Management.
This is the third video in our series on Selling Family Owned Businesses.
We have discussed establishing your goals and objectives as well as making sure that
the financial side of your business in order.
Today we are going to talk about our third step in Business Succession Planning for Family
Owned Businesses – Management Succession.
If there is one thing about selling a Family Owned or closely held business that is certain,
it is that how a sale is completed can be almost as individualized as the business owner.
We are going to talk about some concepts today at a very high level.
Some of what we discuss may be right for you – there may be other solutions that are
better tailored for your needs and goals.
Let's begin with the idea that Ownership and Management are not necessarily the same thing
Up until this point, you have been the owner and the "manager" so those roles may be
the same in your head.
However, when you are looking at selling your business this is the perfect time to start
to groom your successor and delegate more Management responsibilities to them.
Now, truth be told, I am a horrible delegator on things that I like to do so I'm not necessarily
taking my own advice here, but it is really important for you and the person or people
that are taking over the business to really know how it runs, and have some space to make
some mistakes while you are still around to help them.
It may seem obvious, but putting agreements in writing as you start to transition is key.
If the business is going to only one child, but you want other
children to have a silent ownership stakes make sure all of that is clear to your Business
and Estate Planning attorney as well as to your kids.
The more detail, the better.
Key Person Insurance is a must as you are approaching a sale, especially if the business
is staying in the family or with a trusted long time employee.
It is important that the sale of your business and financial future are not derailed by accidents
or untimely passing.
Key Person insurance can at least compensate you for the time invested to that point in
the person you are designating as your successor and allow
you the time and money to search for another candidate.
You may also think about ways of using Golden Handcuffs or Non Qualified Deferred Compensation
plans in order to keep those successors in place.
There are many ways to structure these plans and it is a good idea to ask questions from
your team of advisors.
There are different ways of funding the sale of a business.
Employee Stock Purchase Plans, Stock Options, Separate Classes of stock, Installment Sales
and Small Business Administration Loans are just some of the many ways that you can structure
a deal to sell your business.
This part really does tie into your goals and desire for control after you leave the
company, so it is important to have this conversation with your team so you can make the right decision
for you.
Our goal with this video is to give you some highlights and ideas to think about.
Thank you for tuning in.

How to Make Restaurant Style Japanese Salad Dressing (和風ドレッシングの作り方) - Duration: 1:27.
Every Japanese restaurant in the US
has its own version of salad dressing recipe
Today, I'm showing you my version of the Japanese salad dressing
which is inspired by the salad served at one of my
favorite Japanese restaurants in the Bay Area
The ingredient list is short and simple
and you can easily find these ingredients
at any Asian supermarket
In this recipe, I use 5% acidity distilled vinegar
which match very closely to the acidity of the salad dressing served at this restaurant
You can use rice vinegar if you prefer a milder acidity
In a large glass bowl, add white miso
sugar
soy sauce
sesame oil
and distilled vinegar
Mix everything together until there is no lump
This salad dressing can be served with iceberg lettuce
shredded red leaf cabbage, carrots
as well as cherry tomatoes
Chill the lettuce in ice water for about 15 minutes
so they are nice and crunchy
Drizzle some of the Japanese dressing on top of your salad
And sprinkle some sesame seed
Your restaurant style Japanese salad is now ready to be served
Enjoy!
