This year is the worst we've ever seen.

There is so much melt over the summer that more than half the glaciers

have lost all the snow they gained last winter, plus some from the winter before.

There are rocks sticking out everywhere, the melt-back is phenomenal.

When I started this game, we had 53 kilometers of ice,

that's cubic kilometers, 53!

We now have 30% less, and that's in the 40 years from 1977 to today.

One third of it has melted away.

Once these glaciers are gone, we're not going to be able to capture these images again.

It's pretty much an archive for the future.

What we're trying to do is take hundreds or even thousands of photos of the glaciers,

and use it to make these three-dimensional models of the glaciers that we can actually measure,

really precisely, what the glaciers are doing.

A good way to put it, is that these are the water towers for the southern part of New Zealand,

if we go in to a climate in the future where our precipitation changes,

that's our storage, that's our bank.

We know that our Southern Alps glaciers are responding quite acutely to what's going on

with air temperature and also by association the Tasman sea, sea surface temperature

so this marine heatwave that we've had, that's very bad for the health of the glaciers.

The conditions are so changeable, and having expert guidance from the pilot,

the conditions on the day, to weave us in and out of cloud cover, that's really useful

so we're really grateful to have such an experienced pilot like Andy with us.

It's an FLIR infrared camera and we're hopeful that it might tell us something different

that the still images can not tell us so we'd like to try and capture some of the principal properties

of the lakes and the surrounding areas, and even the debris cover

over some of our long-trunk glaciers like the Tasman.

The glacier is the best climate change indicator you can use.

It is everything in the climate that changes the volume in a glacier.

You know, you can say what you want about temperature on the ground

but you can't make a glacier lie.

I feel mixed emotions about it in many ways, and we often don't use that term emotion in science

but it is a bit emotional. You know, if I put myself in Trevor's shoes,

he's seen these glaciers during much better years,

and that must be like seeing attrition of a child, for him, 'cause he knows them all intimately.

For me, I'm just getting started and I'm thinking,

okay, he's handing the baton off,

what's going to happen and how are we going to feel when we're his age?

Will we remember something that oh, do you remember when there was ice around this place,

or is it going to be a different story with a different ending, where we say,

Okay, we knew we had this problem, we actually did something about it,

and look at them coming back. That would be a hope.

I know it's a slim hope at best, but that would be the hope

is that we could do something about that.

for more easily.

You then need to add all your accounts one by one.

Station supports dozens of services, but the most popular ones are Gmail, Google Drive,

Slack and Trello.

Each service has its own icon in the bar on the left.

You can switch from one service to another just like you'd switch from one account

to another in Slack.

This app metaphor works quite well for document-based apps, such as Google Drive.

When you click on the icon, Station shows you your most recent documents and you don't

get lost between multiple tabs.

33 years of experience there's nobody else that comes to this job

Virginian in the race and that was don blankenship we've had our differences on

many issues but Don you cannot questions Dawn's conservatism and also him being a

republic in West Virginia he's the only one so with that being said you know I

kind of I kind of handicap this race I thought it would be Patrick Morrissey

for this reason he's run two times he's known in 55 counties so he had a little

bit more exposure than whatever Evan and I have worked together for 20 years

we've been in the same party we've he's a very conservative Democrat at that

time he become a committed Republican I respect that

and but I just thought Morrissey would at the end of the day he would come out

and indeed he has that what certain attorney-general on but let me ask you

something about what you were meant to about mr. Blankenship and he has

actually said some positive things about you and he has not indicated that he's

remotely willing to support mr. Morrissey so it does beg a question is

he throwing his support behind you or you and he talked about it man we've had

no conversations whatsoever no I don't like I said we've had our differences

but you cannot questions dawns the West Virginia Republican conservative roots

and we've been at head-to-head down on many issues I just you know with the

horrible tragedies we've had it's just my heart still aches for all the

families and I think you know how close I've been to the families but on other

issues on that we've had our differences and who have been some things we've

agreed on politically so I know we've not talked and I haven't had any phone

calls from Dawn if he were to come out we should some remind people you know

he's the former that's Massey Energy CEO who spent a year in prison for willfully

violating safety standards we know the story there that killed 29 miners back

then but would would you want his support if he announced it to West

Virginia tomorrow I'm supporting Joe Manchin I have no control over that

whatsoever and I would say Don has to make his decision what he's come to but

the only thing I've said about this I hope that in time Don the good Lord

let's Don find peace in his heart because these people need to move on

with their lives that's all I've ever said and and I hope that happens I hope

Don founds peace in his life and allows these families to find peace and there's

of the most vulnerable Democrats I disagree

disagree is this I've been down this road before in 2012 Barack Obama got

beat by Mitt Romney in West Virginia by 35 points I won re-election by 25 points

that's a 60 point swing it's unheard of so the bottom line is they don't look at

me as they Democrat they look at me as a West

I guess when you voted no on the tax thing may be happen no no we get along

Phase two where they want to make permanent the tax cuts for the middle

you would back that we are absolutely well but we might have to look at the

was governor we balanced every budget had surpluses and built up a billion

dollar rainy day fund anyone in your party just like anyone the Republican

Party shouldn't talk about fiscal stewardship you're absolutely correct

night and forgive daddy and mommy for they don't know what they do

so when the president is looking at shaving 15 billion dollars in spending

rescission cuts in that 1.3 trillion dollar measure what did you think of

that I'm happy to look at anything but when you start cutting the most

vulnerable in programs for the most vulnerable let's look and say let's look

and see what programs and where we have most most of the growth in that it

hasn't been and some of the programs I'm hearing about I haven't seen anything on

paper I'm willing to look at anything that puts our financial house in order

but also you based your your priorities your based on your values if you can't

take care of your children and your seniors and your veteran veterans god

"A few days ago, my mother was crying when I reached home."

She said, "Son! I remain very worried about you, till you come home."

"Because, you are handicapped,"

"Sometimes, while crossing the road, or if someone pushes you,"

"You may fall and meet with an accident, so I get very worried."

"I told my mother, 'Your job is to look after the house and cook.'"

"Would you like it if I interfered in your work?"

"If I told you to add salt, or if I added turmeric powder in the soup?"

"Would you like that?"

That lady started from the front row,

And by the time she came, the food was over,

Over meaning, the food was over in the bowl, not in the kitchen.

Again a little time goes.

That fellow was so frustrated that he decided to leave.

When he was about to leave,

Three ladies came with bowls, emitting the fragrance of biryani,

Because of aroma, he felt that, 'Since it has come,'

'And there are three ladies, so let me sit.'

So he sat in the middle.

One lady comes with that bowl, she starts from the first row;

The second lady starts from the back,

The third lady comes with a bowl,

And without even seeing what is there,

He just put hand in the bowl, there were toothpicks!

Because she must have felt that plenty of food has been served;

Many would have finished eating, so she brought toothpicks,

This is what we do.

We go on changing our places, because of our desires.

This is not working; do it that way. Not this way, the other way,

Just stay at one place and God will serve you.

Serving is going on but you keep on changing,

So, when I am saying, let Him worry;

Then allow His plan to be executed.

In that plan, you were supposed to be in the front row,

Now, you changed it and went to the back,

So, now God has to change the whole plan.

He sent the biryani there,

But He wanted to give you in the second or third round of serving,

That was His plan.

You keep changing again and again, so all His plans are failing.
