Heartbreaking Moment Siblings Reunite After Devastating Car Crash Killed Parents And Infant Sister. - Duration: 2:51.
Heartbreaking Moment Siblings Reunite After Devastating Car Crash Killed Parents And Infant
Sister.
On April 7, 2018, a family from San Angelo would be changed forever.
What started out as a trip to church for Jim and Karisa Clemens and their 5 children turned
into tragedy in an instant.
On the way home, a vehicle jumped the center median and veered into oncoming traffic on
Highway 87 in Texas, crashing into their 2005 Chevrolet Suburban and taking the life of
the two parents and their 7-week old baby, Juliana.
Four young children were left without parents and their youngest sister.
8-year-old Angela, 5-year-old Zachary, 4-year-old Wyatt, and 2-year-old Nicholas would face
a long road to recovery, but they had each other.
"THE CHILDREN KNOW THAT THEY'RE FAMILY, AND THEY KNOW THAT THEY NEED ONE ANOTHER,"
SAID THE CHILDREN'S GRANDMOTHER.
After police arrived to deliver the horrible news of the loss of their son and family members,
Colleen rushed to sign guardianship papers so the kids could be flown to the medical
center.
The children's other grandmother, Susan Skillicorn came rushing to the children's
side at the hospital, along with more family and friends from all over.
Susan Skillicorn says she has been stunned by the kid's miraculous recovery in the
hospital, which she called an "incredible journey" of recovery.
They visit each other in their hospital rooms, holding strong to each other for support,
and they are starting to process what happened and what will happen when they all leave the
hospital.
"I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO BEING A LIGHT IN THEIR FUTURE," SAID SKILLICORN.
Nicholas sustained only minor injuries and was soon released to his grandmother, Susan
Skillicorn's care.
Wyatt was left paralyzed on his left side after suffering a stroke but is working through
it with ongoing physical therapy.
He could be released from the hospital as early as next week.
"HE ACTUALLY IS WALKING NOW," HIS GRANDMOTHER SAID.
Zachary and Angela seemed to have fared the worst.
He broke his back, suffered major internal injuries, and has bruised lungs.
She miraculously survived major brain trauma with a fractured skull and broken legs.
Amazingly, Angela is starting to read again.
"NOW SHE CAN ACTUALLY READ.
SHE CAN READ!"
SKILLICORN SAID.
"AND THEY SAY THEY'RE AMAZED AT THE MIRACLES THAT HAVE HAPPENED."
The family has been taken aback at how much love and support has come from friends and
family.
They are amazed at how the story has spread all over the country, and they believe everything
will be ok in the end.
Skillicorn says it's a reminder that we aren't promised tomorrow.
Love each other each and every day.
"I HOPE THE MESSAGE IS LOVE YOUR LITTLE ONES," SHE SAID.
"TAKE THEM AND HUG THEM BECAUSE THERE IS NO GUARANTEE FOR TOMORROW.
THERE IS JUST NO GUARANTEE."
Fundraisers on Facebook and a YouCaring page have been set up to help the family deal with
the enormous health care costs and the funeral for the children's parents and little sister.

How to go camping with a small convertible car? - Duration: 2:24.
We love camping comfortably but we also love our tiny convertible car.
How does it all fit in there?
We use the luggage compartments and some of the space behind the seats for clothes and toiletries.
Food, camera equipment and personal items go in the foothold of the passenger seat, the glove compartments and under the seats.
Then we have our tent with an air bed sleeping bag and inflatable pillows
these are packed in a waterproof bag, in our case a large handy duffel.
This also fits the foldable table and chair and some other items like a rubber hammer, lamp and some spare shoes.
This is the foldable table.
the foldable chairs
and the tent.
the waterproof bag is then tied to the luggage rack with two lashing straps.
Then there is the other inevitable camping equipment like a gas stove,
some pans, plates, cutlery, cup, washing up liquid, olive oil and toilet paper,
these all go in the trunk.
We keep the spare wheel in there too together with a few tools but you might decide to leave those at home depending on your trip.
Don't forget to bring some duct tape, a clothesline and plenty of sunscreen.

Could fleets of self-driving cars become a public health concern? - Duration: 3:40.
When it comes to autonomous and self-driving vehicles, they are perched up on a pedestal
as being the future and a major solution to environmental and public transportation woes,
mainly in the name of safety, reducing traffic congestion, and ultimately reducing a city's
carbon footprint.
But how about associating autonomous and self-driving vehicles as a health, safety, and sanitary
issue?
When it comes to autonomous and self-driving vehicles meant for fleet purposes, such as
potentially replacing traditional drivers in the world of taxicabs and ridesharing,
cleanliness of these vehicles could become a major issue, according to Slate.
It's hard to deny that even today, taxicabs, Ubers, and even Lyfts, can have questionable
levels of cleanliness already, so this concern isn't unfounded as an emerging form of public
transportation suffering from growing pains.
Anyone who's utilized public transportation in any form in any major metropolitan area
knows that even current methods of transportation present major public health challenges.
When it comes to shuttling thousands, if not millions of people, on a regular basis from
point A to point B, it's inevitable things will get dirtied up just by the usual flow
of people by massive amounts of volume.
That, of course, makes it a public health concern, especially when it comes to the control
of pathogens and disease, among many other human health concerns when a mass of bodies
converges in a single, confined space.
From those trying to get the local health clinic for assistance and those who get promiscuous
after a late night of drinking.
You get the idea, which is why it's always good to wash your hands after using public
transportation.
Thankfully, there is usually a dedicated maintenance team that helps keep things as clean as possible
according to health department and commercial policy requirements.
But that can range from a multi-person housekeeping staff for subway cars to just a single driver
of a taxicab, both of which you hope would keep the seats stain-free and sanitized.
And everyone's idea of clean varies, greatly.
So it is without a doubt that cleanliness will be a public health concern for self-driving
cars.
Removing the driver also removes the human element who is expected to maintain cleanliness.
But this isn't to say there aren't any solutions.
Most taxicab and livery fleets usually get cleaned up regularly when they're parked
at home base and throughout the day.
Additionally, lots of taxi and hire fleets feature special antimicrobial seat covers
to simplify maintenance.
With self-driving vehicles, the driver might not be present to keep these things clean.
So it will be important for the automakers of self-driving vehicles to incorporate quality,
health-conscious designs and materials while it's up to fleet operators to maintain a
cleaning regiment.

9-Year-Old Alabama Boy Sees License Plate Of Car At Chick-fil-A… Makes Shocking Move - Duration: 4:17.
9-Year-Old Alabama Boy Sees License Plate Of Car At Chick-fil-A…
Makes Shocking Move.
With everything that is going on in the world negatively, it is always nice to hear good
stories of good people who go out of their way to help their fellow Americans.
Especially in times of need.
Which is exactly why this story will warm your heart.
Tea Party Org reported,
"Landon Routzong of Troy, Alabama, has a big heart for the age of 9, and he proved
just how big over the weekend at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru.
While he and his mother were waiting in line to pick up their lunch, Landon Routzong noticed
the Florida license plate on the back of the car in front of theirs.
So, he told his mom he wanted to pay for that car's meal.
"I didn't want them to waste their money on food because they're trying to escape
the hurricane," Landon Routzong told ABC News.
"I felt like I should help out."
But in order to pay for the meal, he had to get to the drive-thru window before the Florida
car did.
As a result, his mother, Tara Parker Routzong, gave him her debit card and told him to run.
The man in the Florida car agreed to let Landon Routzong pay for his meal.
Later, the man pulled over to meet the family, telling the mother and her son he was from
Miami and was fleeing Hurricane Irma.
He said was on his way to Birmingham to stay with relatives.
"Landon and I both had tears in our eyes from how appreciative he was," Tara Parker
Routzong wrote on Facebook in a Friday post detailing the encounter.
Routzong's post has since been shared over 700 times has over 1,800 likes."
Tara Parker Routzong told Inside Edition she and her husband always try to help out.
She was proud to see her son do the same thing.
"A 9-year-old could be focused on so many other things, but whenever a situation presents
itself, Landon is always thinking of how we can help," she said.
Routzong said the encounter gave her hope that she is doing a good job as a mother.
"I often feel like I'm failing because I can't do it all, all the time and then
things like this happen and remind me that I don't have to," she said in her Facebook
post.
"My most important job is going just fine."
Hurricane Irma was downgraded to a tropical storm after it made landfall along the coast
of Florida over the weekend.
But the storm's overall damage has been severe, with more still to come.
Irma still had sustained winds of up to 70 mph as of Monday afternoon, while over 6.2
million Floridians have experienced power outages.
Irma is considered to be one of the worst hurricanes ever formed in the Atlantic Ocean."
The Facebook post read the following,
"Went to Chick Fil A for lunch today because yum.
Landon saw the car in front of us was from Florida (we have been talking about Irma today)
and he declared we were paying for their meal and I agreed.
But how do you pay for the car in front of you??
You run toward their window with a debit card in hand and scare the mess out of them lol
The man has left his home in Miami and was passing through to go stay with family in
Birmingham.
I told him we hoped he returned to his house untouched and that we'd keep him in our
thoughts.
Landon and I both had tears in our eyes from how appreciative he was.
I often feel like I'm failing because I can't do it all, all the time and then things
like this happen and remind me that I don't have to.
My most important job is going just fine.
All of the hurricanes that hit Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida and Carribean Islands to
name a few devastated the communities that it touched and left nothing but wreckage in
its path.
Now they are finally getting cleaned up but it has been a process and so many more are
still struggling to recoup what they lost.
Knowing that young men and women like this are out there doing good deeds brings such
a positive light to these tragedies.
Next time you see someone struggling, or escaping hardship go out of your way like this young
man to make their day a positive one.
We could all learn a good lesson from him.
Even though he is so young.
What do you think about this?
