Because what one Earth could possibly go wrongscientists create a BLACK HOLE on Earth

Nothing could go wrong reassure experts.

Using the worlds most powerful and advanced X-Ray laser, experts have managed to create

a MINI BLACK HOLE in a laboratory which could lead to numerous revolutionary developments

in science.

In this illustration, an ultra-intense X-ray laser pulse from SLACs Linac Coherent Light

Source knocks so many electrons out of a molecules iodine atom (right) that the iodine starts

pulling in electrons from the rest of the molecule (lower left), like an electromagnetic

version of a black hole.

Many of the stolen electrons are also knocked out by the laser pulse; then the molecule

explodes.

(DESY/Science Communication Lab) The machine used extremely bright, intense,

fast flashes of light in order to capture atomic-level snapshots of natures fastest

processes known to us.

According to experts, a single pulse managed to strip away everything but a few electrons

out of one atom from the INSIDE out.

This resulted in a void that began to pull in electrons from the rest of the moleculejust

as black holes feeds on a spiraling disc of matter in space.

This new breakthrough is expected to advance the imaging of viruses and bacteria, something

that could eventually lead to the development of better medicines in the near future.

The so-called molecular Black Hole was developed by scientists from the Kansas State

University.

The results, published in Nature, give scientists fundamental insights they need to better plan

and interpret experiments using the most intense and energetic X-ray pulses from SLACs Linac

Coherent Light Source (LCLS) X-ray free-electron laser.

As reported, the laser which created the molecular black hole (LCLS), is used to image individual

biological objects, including viruses and bacteria.

For any type of experiment you do that focuses intense X-rays on a sample, you want

to understand how it reacts to the X-rays, said Daniel Rolles of Kansas State University.

This paper shows that we can understand and model the radiation damage in small molecules,

so now we can predict what damage we will get in other systems.

As explained by SLAC, the experiment, led by Rolles and Artem Rudenko, took place at

LCLSs Coherent X-ray Imaging instrument (CXI).

The device is able to deliver X-rays with the highest possible energies achievable at

LCLS, known as hard X-rays, and records data from samples in the instant before the laser

pulse destroys them.

So How intense are those X-ray pulses?

They are about a hundred times more intense than what you would get if you focused all

the sunlight that hits the Earths surface onto a thumbnail, said LCLS staff scientist

and co-author Sebastien Boutet.

Scientists used mirrors in order to focus the X-ray beam on a spot which is around 100

NANOMETERS in diameterthats around one thousand times SMALLER than the width of a

human hair.

As reported by SLAC, scientists observed three types of different samples, individual

xenon atoms, which have 54 electrons each, and two types of molecules that each contain

a single iodine atom, which has 53 electrons.

Interestingly, based on previous studies experts expected electrons from the outer parts of

the atom to drop into voids inside the atom.

While this did occur, the process did not end there.

SLAC reports that the iodine atom also sucked in electrons from neighboring carbon and hydrogen

atoms, losing a total of 54 electrons, resulting in a level of damage and disruption which

is higher than expected, and greatly different in nature.

Artem Rudenko, the co-author of the study, said: We think the effect was even more

important in the larger molecule than in the smaller one, but we dont know how to quantify

it yet.

We estimate that more than 60 electrons were kicked out, but we dont actually know where

it stopped because we could not detect all the fragments that flew off as the molecule

fell apart to see how many electrons were missing.

This is one of the open questions we need to study.

Mike Dunne, director of the LCLS, concluded: This has important benefits for scientists

wishing to achieve the highest-resolution images of biological molecules to inform the

development of better pharmaceuticals, for example.

Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama Die And Go To Heaven… - Duration: 13:14.

Richard Nixon, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama Die And Go To Heaven…

Regan Pifer reports that in a recent interview with The Times, Barack Obama's former Deputy

Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromonaco shared how Obama gave her dating advice.

According to The Daily Mail:

The former White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Barack Obama claimed that the President

once gave her dating advice in 2006 when they were on a return trip to Chicago from Iowa.

In an interview with The Times, Alyssa Mastromonaco shared how the at-the-time Illinois Senator

once threatened to text one of Senator Tom Harkin's staffers on her behalf when he

saw him checking her out.

'Obama turned to me and said, "Look, he was really into you.

And if you don't email him, I will.",' she writes in her book about her time working

with Obama called Who Thought This Was a Good Idea?.

But what is even more interesting than Obama attempting to make love connections for his

staff is the obvious lack of love Michelle had for her own.

According to the same Deputy Chief of Staff Mastromonaco who remembered Obama so fondly,

she states this about Michelle:

But the true person in charge of the White House was first lady Michelle Obama.

'She's the boss,' Mostromonaco said.

'If he was mad at you for any reason, you'd be, like, "OK."

If she was mad at you . . . if you thought for some reason she might be, you were, like,

"I'm in so much trouble."'

That isn't exactly a surprise.

After all, if you're Michelle Obama and think you're entitled to 24 servants, you

must be running

the show!

Where Do the Commas Go? - Duration: 8:09.

Welcome to this tutorial from the Gaston College Writing Center that will answer

the question we are all asking. Where do the commas go? But first before we answer

that pressing question, let's ask another. Why does it even matter if I insert

commas in my sentences? One reason why commas matter is that they can change

the meaning of a sentence. Let's take a quick look at some well known examples

of commas changing the intended meaning. "Let's eat grandma" versus "let's eat,

grandma." In the first sentence, grandma is in danger of being eaten, and in the

second sentence, that comma means that grandma's life is not at risk.

She is simply being invited to dine. In a similar manner, the sentence "we're going

to learn to cut and paste kids" puts the lives of our children at risk, but a

comma indicates that they'll be learning to cut and paste something other than

themselves. The lesson here is that commas save lives. Have you heard this

one? "Most of the time travelers worry about their luggage." If we remove that

comma: "most of the time travelers worry about their luggage." We no longer have

the average commuter concerned about their luggage. We now have time travelers

worrying if their suitcases are going to cross the time and space continuum.

Clearly, commas can drastically change the meaning of a sentence. Now that we're

convinced of the importance of commas in communicating our intended meaning, where

do they go in our sentences? It's a common myth that we should insert a

comma every time we take a breath. Sometimes a reader may take a breath

where a comma should not go. For example, you should not use a comma to separate

the subject from the verb even though there may seem like a pause there. Commas

in the wrong places can break a sentence into illogical segments or confuse

readers with unnecessary and unexpected pauses. This sentence is punctuated

incorrectly. An 18-year-old in North Carolina is considered an adult. Placing

a comma where we may take a slight breath in a sentence may lead to another

error: the dreaded comma splice. I met Tyler, we went to a 7 o'clock

movie. A comma splice is where we've joined two complete sentences with only a

comma, but that is not correct. A comma is not strong enough to hold together two

complete sentences. That is the job of a period or a semicolon. While it is true

that a comma can help create a brief pause in a sentence, there are actually

a few simple rules you can learn to begin using commas more logically and

consistently than that old myth. Use commas to separate complete sentences

when they are joined by any of these seven coordinating conjunctions: and but

for or nor so yet. I want to eat dinner out this evening, but there is no dining

out money left in my budget. It was raining, so my dog refused to go

outside. On either side of the conjunction, you need to identify a main

subject and a verb to determine if you are connecting two complete sentences. If

they are complete sentences on either side, you need a comma before that

coordinating conjunction. Here's an example of when a comma is not needed

before a conjunction. Liam plans to spend Spring Break visiting Ireland and

Scotland. "Scotland" is not a complete sentence by itself. Ireland and Scotland

are compound objects of the verb "plans," so you should not place a comma before

the "and" in this sentence. We turned on some music and began to study. This is

called a compound predicate. The subject "we" is still the same for the verbs

"turned" and "began," so no comma would go before the conjunction "and" in this

sentence. Use commas after introductory clauses, phrases, or words that come

before the main clause or complete sentence. Common starter words for

introductory clauses that should be followed by a comma include: after,

although, as, because, if, since, when, while. While I was eating, the dog begged for my

food. Because her car had a flat tire, she was late for work. However, don't put a

comma after the main clause when a dependent clause follows it

except for cases of extreme contrast. This sentence is punctuated incorrectly:

The baby cried, during his nap time. Here's a correctly punctuated sentence.

He was calm, although he had missed his flight.

This comma use is correct because it is an example of extreme contrast. Common

introductory phrases that should be followed by a comma include participial

and infinitive phrases, absolute phrases, non-essential appositive phrases, and

long prepositional phrases, which means there are over four words long. Having

completed her degree program, she applied for jobs. Common introductory words that

should be followed by a comma include however, therefore, and furthermore.

However, you may need to give the room a second coat of paint. Use a pair of

commas in the middle of a sentence to set off clauses, phrases, and words that

are not essential to the meaning of the sentence. Use one comma before to

indicate the beginning of the non-essential element, and one at the

end to indicate the end of the non-essential element. You can think of

these commas as bookends: one on either side. Ask yourself these questions to

decide if the clause phrase or word is essential to the meaning of your

sentence. If you leave it out, does the sentence still make sense? Does it

interrupt the flow of words in the original sentence? If you move it to a

different position in the sentence, does the sentence still make sense? If you

answer yes to one or more of these questions, then the element in question

is non-essential and should be set off with commas. Here are some example

sentences with non-essential elements. Next Monday which happens to be my

birthday is the date of my jury summons. The cafe downtown makes excellent food.

The service, on the other hand, is rather poor. Hershey's chocolate is good. When it

comes to creaminess, however, Cadbury is far better.

Do not use commas to set off essential elements of sentence, such as clauses

beginning with the word "that." The documentary that I borrowed from you is

fascinating. She thinks that she will be able

to travel to the coast for spring break. Here are examples of other essential

elements that do not need commas. Students who cheat only harm themselves.

The candidate who had the most money won the election. And here are more examples

of non-essential elements that need to be set off with commas. Matthew, who often

cheats, is just harming himself. The Republican Party candidate, who had the

most money, won the election. Use commas to separate a series of three or more

words, phrases, or clauses. The Microsoft Office suite includes Word, Excel, Outlook,

Access, and PowerPoint. Use a comma to shift between the main discourse and a

quotation. Maya Angelou wrote, "If you don't like something, change it. If you

can't change it, change your attitude. Use commas wherever necessary to prevent

possible confusion or misreading. In the lab, rats are used for testing

products. The common rules covered in this video are good ones to get you

started inserting those commas into your writing with more consistency and logic

so that your writing will be clear and comprehensible. Be sure to check out our

other videos on writing-related topics, and stop by the Gaston College Writing

Center for an appointment with a tutor if you want more help with your writing.

How to Go Live on YouTube - Easy Tutorial - Duration: 7:49.

I have a tutorial for you on how to go live on YouTube.

(upbeat music)

Welcome back, or if you're watching for the first time,

then thank you for joining.

I'm Sonali Ankola, the creator of Dream with Intent,

where we talk about creating a positive life attitude,

and getting results for your side hustle and business.

Now let's get started designing your destiny.

So today we're doing something a little different.

I actually have a tutorial for you on how to go

live on YouTube.

Now just in case you did not see one of my recent videos

on getting out of your comfort zone, especially

with your first live video, then check that out.

You will see why this tutorial was so important.

Cause there were so many hiccups that I ended up having

and just understanding the technical part of it,

especially when you're not so technically savvy, like me.

It's not that easy to figure it out, and unfortunately,

even when I was Googling and trying to just get information

on how to actually go live, there weren't as many

up to date resources on how simple and easy it was.

And by the way, talking about simple and easy,

I do have to give a really big thank you to

Trena Little.

She actually has this amazing channel on YouTube

where she gives information on basically creating

your YouTube channel.

So definitely check it out, especially if that

is something that you're looking to learn or

just create for yourself.

All right, so let's get started with the tutorial.

So the first thing that you wanna do is make sure

that you're actually logged in to your You Tube account.

Once you're logged in, then select right here

under Creator Studio.

Once you've selected that, then you wanna go to

your Live Streaming.

Now under Live Streaming you'll notice that there are

two options, which is Stream Now and Events.

You actually want to select the Events option

cause with Stream Now you do need to have a

Third Party way of connecting your live streaming,

whereas with Events, it's actually done

through Google Hangouts.

So once you click on events, you can either select

New Live Event, or you can select Schedule a New Event.

Now either of these options will allow you to either

schedule your event, or to go live immediately.

So I'm gonna go ahead and click on Schedule a New Event.

Once you have that selected, then go ahead and

enter in your title.

After you enter your title in, it does allow you

to select as to when you are looking to go live,

so either you can do this at a later date and time,

or we can just leave it for going live now.

And since we're gonna be going live now, I'm just

gonna leave this selection.

Then next you have the option to put in your description.

So go ahead and enter that information in.

Once that is done, then you want to make sure that

you're adding in all of your tags, cause if

you're gonna be going live to the public,

then you really want to make sure those tags are

added in prior to going live.

Because with tags, it allows your video to be found

as you're live streaming in that moment.

So once your tags are added in, you want to make sure

that you have the correct selection selected here.

So with Public, this means that your live stream will

go out to the general public immediately

as soon as you're live.

With Unlisted, that basically means that you need to

share your video URL while you are either doing your

live video, or you can share it afterwards

once a live is done and that's the only way that

people will be able to access it.

And then the last option, which is Private.

So with Private, the only way someone can either join in

during the live streaming, or see the video afterwards,

is if you enter the actual email into this location.

So since we're going to be doing more so of a demo

on how to go live, I'm just going to leave this

under Private for now.

And right here under the Type, since we are going live

immediately and we want to leave it for the default option,

which is Google Hangouts on air, I'm just gonna leave

this option here as is.

Now under the Advanced tab here, I did not really

make any kind of changes cause most of these options

I was able to just leave it as is.

But you can basically read through to see

if there is something that you need to change in here.

A couple of things that I do want to point out,

which is under chat, you have the option

to enable or disable your live chat.

So it's up to you on how you want to leave this,

and also under category, just make sure that you do have

the correct category selected for your YouTube channel.

Now with the last tab, which is the Monetization tab,

this basically allows you to put ads on your video.

So again, it's up to you if you're doing ads or not.

Since I don't normally do ads on any of my YouTube video,

I've just left this as turned off.

So now going back to the basic info, what we're gonna do now

is click on Go Live Now.

Now by clicking on Go Live Now this does not mean that

you'll actually go live immediately.

There is still another button that you need to click on

in order for you to actually go live.

So now I'll be connecting to Google Hangouts.

And you'll notice here that this is still showing

that we are off air.

So it's not yet live as of now.

Now while that is still loading, what I want to show here

is that you have the options to either have your

chat window open, there's also the screen sharing option,

also depending on how you want to have your camera set up

for yourself, or even for anyone else that is joining in,

and then here, this is actually your control room.

So basically can see all of your options listed right here.

So you can leave this window open or keep this closed

and just have your chat open.

Now before you go live, just want to make sure that

you do have your video camera turned on and also

your mic turned on.

So by default the mic is already turned on on here.

So what I'm going to do is go ahead and enable the camera.

All right, so now that the camera is enabled we can

go ahead and click on Start Broadcast.

Now as soon as this thing goes live you'll notice that

the off air will go away and at the bottom,

you'll notice that here is showing that it is live.

So once your live video is actually done, just click on

Stop Broadcasting, and that will basically

end your live video.

Aren't you surprised by how easy that was?

And that is exactly why I thought it was so important

to do this tutorial.

I know it's really hard to go live to begin with

and the last thing that you want is more headaches,

and trying to figure out, how do you even go live

in the first place, especially on YouTube.

I mean on Facebook, it's pretty easy.

All you're doing is clicking a button, but whereas

with YouTube, it's a little bit more complicated.

But, not as complicated as you might have thought initially.

So, I really, really hope that this video is helpful.

Let me know in the comments below and please feel free

to share this with anyone that you think

may benefit from this.

Thanks for watching.

Nikki Reviews Insecure (Season 1) | Watch & Go - Duration: 6:12.

Hey Naturally Curly World, I'm Nikki, and welcome to Watch & Go - the series where we

review things while we do our wash and go.

I know you're probably thinking "Girl, you got braids!".

Don't worry, I have a solution.

These next few Watch & Gos for the month of August and September will feature brands from

Texture On The Runway.

It is our annual hair and fashion show that's held in September.

In this episode, I'll be using Carol's Daughter and reviewing season 1 of Insecure.

Go shawty, it's my birthday!

But no one cares because I'm not having a party.

'Cause I'm feeling sorry for my...self.

[upbeat music] I just wanna be more confident.

Brave me.

I wanna be that person.

- I love these Fendis!

- I have a problem!

- Converse!

- I have a problem!

- I love how you just like, don't even care.

So, I haven't had braids in a very long time, and usually I start these Watch & Gos out

by wash and conditioning my hair.

But I have these braids in which probably need to come out.

I don't need y'alls comments about my baby hairs.

So I think I'm gonna start by cleansing my hair.

So I'm going to use this clarifying scalp treatment.

I know y'all are all hype because Insecure is so good, right?

It's based on-- loosely based I guess on Awkward Black Girl?

It was inspired by Awkward Black Girl.

Awkward Black Girl was Issa Rae's YouTube series.

And everybody fell in love with it.

It was great.

I loved it.

And so Insecure came out of that, and now she on HBO.

She's goals, dreams, hopes, you know, all of those things.

Insecure is about two best friends and their shenanigans in life.

And their dating relationships, work.

Molly played by Yvonne, is basically the really successful Black woman who's also -- she's

really successful at work, but not so much successful in relationships.

They kinda make her a ho, I guess?

That's what they-- They called her a ho, I didn't call her a ho.

I don't believe in slut shaming or whatever.

She basically a ho, but she's so like, great at her job and she's such a great friend.

So, I guess those qualities make up for the fact that she just be like, you know, seeing

what's out there!

And Issa has a relationship.

You know, she seems to be doing well in relationships and catching dudes.

Jay Ellis is the character Lawrence.

Lawrence is her boyfriend.

He ain't got no job.

He got laid off.

And you know, she's giving him a chance, right?

But he's like not trying to find a job.

And so she, you know, serendipitously meets a man named Daniel.

And old friend, really.

An old fling.

And Daniel happens to be...

attractive.

It's just comical, really.

It's sad, it's heartbreaking, it's comical.

But more importantly to me is not necessarily Issa's relationship with the men in her life,

but her relationship with her friend.

We haven't seen a lot of Black girl friendships since Girlfriends, so to see this play out

on HBO is really great.

Alright, I think I put this all over my head now.

It's just nice to have something cooling on your scalp.

And so, I'm just gon' keep doing this [laughs].

It feels good.

You know, you ain't gotta [pats head].

This is legit.

So now I'm just going to apply this calming tension spray.

I don't have a lot of tension, 'cause like I told y'all, ya girl was runnin' her head

under hot water, cold water.

I don't believe in tension.

I won't be the one who's losing her edges.

But, I do like a nice spray 'cause I feel like it adds a little body to it, and it,

you know, you can air it out which is real nice.

You can get a lil air on your scalp.

Yes, this is.

This is nice.

There isn't really a reason I wouldn't recommend you watching Insecure, unless you feel some

kinda way about cursing.

Unless you feel some kinda way about like, sex.

Sex scenes.

If you're like "Oh no, sex!"

But if you're into comedy, Issa raps.

And she got bars.

But it's for everybody, you need to get over it.

It's great.

Go get you an HBO subscription.

Don't be cheap and triflin'.

Don't be tryna like, download the episodes from yo friend through like a proxy server!

Do better!

I actually have HBO through my mama, so I can't even [laughs] I can't even lie, I'm

not buying it. [laughs]

My least favorite character is Lawrence.

I know y'all are like "Oh, but you know, Lawrence he love her!"

If he loved her, he would have got a job!

I get patience, right?

Everybody should be patient.

You know, with your relationship, things happen.

But how long you gon' be patient?

Plus, she seemed like she didn't wanna...I mean...Issa was wrong for what she did, right?

She shoulda just broke up with him.

But I feel like she was patient.

And I feel like he wasn't responding.

And then now he gets a job, and now he's like, taken his life to a whole other level, but

it's like "Bruh, you shoulda done that a long time ago!"

Like I said y'all, pride cometh before a fall.

And Lawrence didn't listen.

He did what he wanted to do.

He was like "Oh no, I'm gonna figure my way out of it, and she'll just have to be patient."

And it's like, this is a relationship, and y'all have responsibilities, and if she's

covering all the responsibilities, then you bein' triflin'!

I agree, you should not be cheated on.

There should be no "but".

Period!

He shouldn't have been cheated on.

...Also, he shoulda got a job.

[laughs]

I'm going to tame these baby hairs.

I have this little baby hair brush, and I'm gonna use the Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla

Edge Control Smoother.

[upbeat music]

Now what I would do next is style my hair.

I'm gonna show you guys a couple of styles that I wear on a regular basis.

Um, I like, take two pieces like this, move all this to the front.

And then like, take a scrunchie or whatever.

And I would do this, right, 'cause that's cute.

Then, if you wanna spice it up a little bit, you wanna be youthful.

If you're one of those 3C girls who've always loved your ninja buns and you can't get rid

of it, you can create like a cute little ninja bun!

You could rock this, you know what I'm sayin', and that's kinda cute.

Then you can bring it all the way to the tippity top.

Make a big roll out of it.

Drag all those hairs around.

Usually you can use the little hairs to make it stick, but if you gon' do more than this

with your head, you need to put one of these on.

I would give Insecure season 1 a 5 out of 5.

It tells a story of California, it tells a story of friendships and relationships.

If you haven't seen it, watch it.

Tell all your friends to watch it.

It is definitely a 5 out of 5 for me and for my crew.

Thanks so much for watching.

If you've seen Insecure, let me know in the comments below what you think of it.

Also if you've tried Carol's Daughter.

Tell me if you like-- this is a new line.

Tell me if you like the new Mimosa Honey and obviously the edge control.

We make videos every Wednesday, so we'll see you next Wednesday.

Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe.

Bye!

Trump Administration To Go After Colleges For Allegedly Discriminating Against White People - Duration: 3:48.

While Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions may not be getting along, at least as far as the public

knows, there is one thing that the two of them, I guess, kind of agree on.

That is that somehow American colleges are discriminating against white people.

That is why, according to a new memo, within the Department of Justice, they're going to

start cracking down on colleges, start investigating them and possibly even suing them for their

alleged discrimination against white people.

Jeff Sessions, as well all know, has a very storied history of making racist remarks,

of representing racist people and defending them, and thinking that there's nothing wrong

with their world view.

And basically for, himself, being pretty much a racist.

It's no surprise that he would go after this, but what they're actually doing, on the surface

they're saying that they're discriminating against white people.

What they're trying to do behind the scenes is get rid of programs like Affirmative Action.

That has been a Republican goal for several decades.

They hate the program, they hate what it does.

They always claim that it's racism against white people, when in reality Affirmative

Action has helped to create racial diversity, not just in colleges, and on campus, but all

throughout this country in areas where minorities would not otherwise have a chance, even though

they were qualified.

You know why?

Because there's too many people like Jeff Sessions calling the shots for some of these

college admission boards, or some of these corporations that refuse to hire people, based

on the color of their skin.

There are too many Jeff Sessions out there, and that's why we still have to have some

kind of Affirmative Action program.

People get discriminated against when they fill out job applications, even though, if

the person's never seen them, based on their name.

They think they say an odd name and assume it's a minority, don't give them the job,

don't give them a call back.

Study after study has shown that that happens all too often, especially with regards to

college admission boards.

Jeff Sessions wants to do away with this.

Donald Trump is perfectly fine with doing away with this, because they want white people

in this country to have even more privilege, on top of everything else that we already

have.

They want to stomp down the people that have already been stomped down for centuries in

this country, just because they're afraid that their whiteness doesn't go as far as

it used to.

They're also trying to play to the very racist base of the Alt Right, by showing them, "Look,

I know you're worried about your white identity disappearing."

Because that is a major part of the white nationalist movement, and the Alt Right.

We're going to make sure that we "level the playing field", so you white people don't

have to worry about losing your identity as who you are.

That is exactly what we expected of Jeff Sessions, as Attorney General.

That is why a lot of democrats and most of the public spoke out against him.

This is exactly what we knew would happen when a man like that got the votes, and got

installed as our Attorney General.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

The longer Jeff Sessions stays in office the more of these disgusting policies that we're

likely to see come out of that office.
