What I've Learned About Myself after Losing 145LBS - Duration: 4:26.

Hey everybody and welcome to the video.

In this week's episode, we get right into it.

So I talk a lot on this channel about how my life has changed for the better since losing

weight.

How different things are and how much happier I am, all of that sort of stuff.

Well I've been feeling like there's something I should clarify when I talk about all of

those things.

Losing weight by itself isn't going to solve all your problems or the struggles that you

have in your life.

All of these changes and realizations and everything that I've made over the years.

When you lose weight there's a level of self awareness that comes along with it.

You're forcing so much discomfort wether it be mental or physical, you're dredging up

all of these problems in your head with the weight and it kind of forces you to solve

them and forces you to face them.

Simply being smaller or simply reaching your goal weight isn't going to fix those things.

But for me it kind of started a journey of personal growth and self awareness and just

made me face all of these things that I was insecure about for so long.

The big thing that did happen, that I learned when I lost weight.

It feels incredible to follow through on your dreams and it helped me realize that I can

make those things a reality if I want and if I put in the work.

None of this stuff happens on its own but I let that good feeling of accomplishment

from weight loss spill over into every aspect of my life.

Now compared to back then when I have goals I know if I allow myself to put in the time

and the effort, I know I can do it and that's not something I ever felt with such passion

beforehand.

Reaching that goal just gave me the confidence and the self assurance to know I can reach

any goal I want if I'm willing to put in that work.

In the land of social media and the land of I wish or I wish I could do that or have that

or be like that person, it doesn't just happen.

For anybody.

You can reach your goals too.

So that's the biggest lesson I've learned with all of this.

I'm capable of achieving whatever I put my mind to and put the work into.

But just know if you put in that work and that time and that effort it pays off and

it feels great.

What doesn't feel great is continuing to hide behind all of your insecurities and problems

and excuses.

That was a big part of weight loss with what I struggled with, what a lot of people struggle

with.

It's easy to keep being fat and there's some sick part in our brains in those stages that

almost wants us to fail because it's the easy option and it's the one you don't have to

think about, worry about, do, it's complacency.

So just keep that in mind as you're going through this journey.

Don't be complacent.

Don't let that back part of your head let you give up and go back to routine and business

as usual.

Self awareness and personal growth and mental growth is the biggest factor in succeeding

in your weight loss.

Once you allow yourself to make those observations about how you act in situations and learn

how to adapt and change and pivot.

To correct those actions and do what you want to do to reach your goals.

It all gets easier.

But that is it for the formal topic, I wanted to jump straight into it before getting into

the week updates.

I think I'll probably just leave it at that, I'm going to save the details about the San

Francisco trip for next week, and the video from the trip to Bend is coming.

I've been falling behind on my edits.

I promise it'll be out soon, but make sure to give the video a like if you enjoy it,

it really does help me out a ton.

Be sure to subscribe if you want to see more videos, I make these every Monday, I make

other videos every Friday.

Leave me a comment below let me know what you learned about yourself since you started

this journey.

I'd love to get that discussion going.

Until next time, I will talk to you all later.

Have a good one.

What Perks to Use? | Battle Bay Perks Guide - Duration: 4:03.

Hello Friends!

This is Kyle from Genki Gamers and today, we're going to go over the best perks for

each item so that you know which perks to get when you see them in the shop.

It can be tough to know if the cool new perk you see in the shop is worth spending your

hard-earned gold on or if you will see a better one in the future so hopefully this guide

will help you out.

Remember that although perks can get pretty expensive, they can always be taken off your

item at a relatively low cost to move it to a better version of that item down the road.

In other words, the perks you buy now can be used forever so keep that in mind when

deciding to buy a perk.

Now there's a lot of items to go over so I'm going to try and quickly get through

the list but feel free to leave any questions you have in the comments below.

Let's get started with the weapons.

For all the weapons, I ranked the perks based on which would give you the highest average

damage per hit.

However, critical hits deal double damage which may be enough to take someone out by

surprise and win you the game so it is very situational to know what perk will work best

in each game.

In terms of average damage, the best perk for the cannon, blast cannon, and explosive

cannon is the cannon damage perk.

These weapons all have a very low base critical hit chance so adding critical chance and critical

damage perks aren't as effective.

On the other hand, the sniper cannon has much better scaling with critical hits.

The best perk to use on a sniper is the sniper cannon critical hit chance perk which can

only be used on the sniper cannon and gives a higher percentage chance than the regular

cannon critical hit chance perk.

For the carronade, use the carronade damage perk.

For the grenade launcher, use the fire grenades perk which increases the chance of setting

your opponents on fire.

Setting them on fire does fire damage over time similar to the fire bomb.

All the mortars should be equipped with the mortar damage perk to deal the most damage

possible.

The best perk for torpedoes is torpedo speed, which will make it a lot easier to land them

as your opponents have a smaller window to react when they see the torpedo coming.

On the railgun, I would use the railgun damage perk to make every hit hurt even more.

For the missile launcher, use the weapon damage perk, which increases the damage of all weapons

on your ship.

For mines, use the mine damage perk.

On the flare gun, napalm launcher and fire bomb, use the fire duration perk which keeps

the damage of time effect lasting longer.

BLUE ITEMS The standard shield and big shield are best

with the shield defense perk as it scales better with having a lot of health.

Every point of defense reduces the damage you take by one damage for each shot that

hits you.

For the turbo, use the turbo effect perk which further increases its speed.

Gear lube will use the turret rotation perk and rudder will use the rudder effect perk.

For a bandage, use the repair boost perk which increases the healing the bandage will do.

YELLOW ITEMS Overboost is best with the overboost duration

perk to maximize the time that the over boost is active.

On a nitro, use the nitro cooldown perk to ensure that you have your nitro up when you

really need it.

For the tesla bolt, use the stun duration perk and for the tesla shield, use the shield

duration perk.

Lastly, For the frost blaster and frost launcher, use the freeze duration perk which increases

how long the freezing effect lasts.

GREEN ITEMS Moving on to the green healing items, it is

best to use the repairing boost perk that increases the amount that these items heal.

Cooldown may not be as useful because you usually can't use your items the moment

it's off cooldown anyways.

That's all for today.

I have created a list of all the perks I have found in a Reddit post that I will link in

the description below.

If you haven't already, subscribe for more Battle Bay videos.

Bye friends!

What is a March and a Marquess? - Explained - Duration: 3:26.

I am a big fan of games based on medieval times and if you have ever played dragon age

then I am sure you have heard about the territories known as the free marches.

I also love history and am especially fascinated by the Holy Roman Empire which also had regions

known as marches.

In this episode, we are going to see what a march is and who was in charge!

A march or mark was, in broad terms, a medieval European term for any kind of borderland,

as opposed to a national 'heartland' or 'homeland'.

More specifically, a march was a border between realms, and/or a neutral/buffer zone under

joint control of two states, in which different laws might apply.

In both of these senses, marches held an important role such as providing a first line of defence

and warning of military incursions and regulating cross-border trade.

Like other areas such, as counties were traditionally ruled by counts, marches gave rise to titles

such as: marquess (masculine) or marchioness (feminine) in England, marquis (masc.) or

marquise (fem.) in France, margrave (Markgraf i.e. "march count"; masc.) or margravine (Markgräfin

i.e. "march countess", fem.) in Germany, and corresponding titles in other European states.

The word "march" derives ultimately from a Proto-Indo-European root *mereg-, meaning

"edge, boundary".

The root *mereg- produced Latin margo ("margin").

Because of this "mark" in Old English meant "boundary" or "sign of a boundary", and the

meaning only later evolved to encompass "sign" in general, "impression" and "trace" which

is pretty much what it still means today.

In most of the world, over time, the theoretical distinction between a marquess and other titles

has, since the faded into obscurity.

In the UK in times past, the distinction between a count and a marquess was that the land of

a marquess, called a march, was on the border of the country, while a count's land, called

a county, often was not.

As a result of this, a marquess was trusted to defend and fortify against potentially

hostile neighbours and was thus more important and ranked higher than a count.

The title is ranked below that of a duke, which was often restricted to the royal family

and those that were held in high enough esteem to be granted such a title.

Like other major Western noble titles, marquess (and marquis) is sometimes used to render

certain titles in non-Western languages with their own traditions, even though they are,

as a rule, historically unrelated and thus hard to compare.

However, they are considered "equivalent" in rank.

This is the case with: In ancient China, 侯 (Hóu) is generally

translated as marquess or marquis.

In the Japanese restoration period Meiji Japan,

rank, was introduced in 1884

In ancient Korea also translated as marquess of a region

So to conclude: March comes from an ancient word meaning margin

It was the borderland territory between countries It could be ruled over by a couple of nations

Its leader was known as a marquess And it held an important defensive and economic

position

What People Are Saying About "From the Ashes": A New Documentary on Coal - Duration: 1:55.

We're gonna see an amazing film tonight.

It needs to be told all over the country

that you can succeed and be committed to an environment.

Watching the lives of the people who are so strongly

impacted by the loss of the coal industry,

I think that's a story we don't tell enough.

This is a battle on which we need to be relentless.

Now's a good time to do something about it

because there are alternatives.

As a human being, as a citizen of the world,

I think it affects all of us no matter where we are.

Coal is an issue that was massive in the campaign

and it's a very, very complicated issue.

We're so excited that we're using film

to tell a very important story about the work

that Bloomberg philanthropies has been doing.

It really presented the human aspect.

Well-meaning people who just want jobs.

But we've gotta find some ways to pull together

and to train them to fit into jobs that are available.

I don't know if there's been a more exciting time

to be paying attention to how we make our electricity

in this country since the Industrial Revolution.

This film really does a great job

of putting the human cost of coal in perspective.

It dives deep.

This film did a really great job

of making it an American issue, a people issue.

It was a very powerful look at coal.

It really resonated with me.

I thought it was a phenomenal film.

I thought it was really inspiring.

Being somebody who's going to grow into this future,

it's very scary, but I like that they offered solutions.

It's a choice.

I'm choosing to make things better for my son.

It galvanized me.

Let's go out and really try and make sure people know

they have that choice, and make the right choice.

And it made me want to get involved.

What's the Point of the European Union? | Let's Talk | NPR - Duration: 1:50.

Some see it primarily as a peace project that

grew out of a desire for stability and security

after two world wars devastated the continent.

Others argue it's a super-state that infringes

on the national democratic freedoms

of its member states.

Either way, one thing is clear:

The EU started out as a trading bloc

in the aftermath of the Second World War.

In 1957, France, West Germany, Belgium,

the Netherlands, Italy and Luxembourg

signed the Treaty of Rome

creating the European Economic Community.

Their hope was to avoid conflict by trading with each other.

As membership grew, it became a fully fledged

single market, allowing the free movement

of goods and services, and what started as

just an economic union has also become a political union.

Today, the EU is based on the rule of law.

Its members remain sovereign, independent states,

but in matters of mutual interest,

they delegate some of their decision-making powers

to key EU institutions,

of which they are all a part.

Those institutions create policies ranging from

climate, health, human rights, education

and research, foreign relations and security,

to justice and migration.

All of its 500 million citizens are entitled

to live, study and work anywhere

they wish within the EU.

The bloc is also, in part, a monetary union,

with 19 of its members sharing a

common currency, the euro.

Of course, in a 2016,

a narrow majority of the British

electorate voted to give up its membership

and – as the "Leave" campaign put it –

"take back control" from Brussels.

It remains to be seen what impact this very first

departure of a long-term member will have on the union.

Fábio & Nuno 13 I Know What You Did! (EN.ES.FR) - Duration: 11:01.

Look, Paula...

What's the problem for you to sleep there in the room, anyway?

They're friends.

- No?

Ouch, Papoila! Don't ruin this moment, pal!

- Aren't you the one who's always fighting for the right of privacy in this house?

- I know, I know, but this is different! - No, It's not different! Go immediatly to your room, ok?

If I catch you again spying on the girls... - Ok, Ok! I got it! Damn it!

- Do you want help? - No...

- What's wrong, Paulinha?

It's because of this 'Mariana & Valéria' story, isn't it?

You know, Mariana is a very open minded person. Including when it comes to her sexual choices...

- I've noticed.

- And you're not used to meet people like her, right? - Yes, that's it.

But... That doesn't matter. I mean, I didn't know how to react, because I've never met someone like this.

- Look, me neither. - You'll still have the chance to get to know a lot of people like that.

- I believe you. But I love Mariana and I won't change the way I think about her just because of this.

- Will you be ok here? - Yeah.

- I'm gonna sleep. I'm really tired. What about you, André?

- Yeah, I'm gonna do the same. See you tomorrow. - See you. - See you.

Close the door! What were you doing, fool? - I was just checking if everything was alright! - Really? Then, maybe I should take off your eyes! Go to your room! Now!

- Look, didn't you hear something coming from the other room, last night? - No.

- Interesting things must have occurred, in there...

- Is that your businnes?

Why don't you just stop being nosy?

- Oh, "I'm sorry"!...

- Are you really unable to respect other people, pal?

- It's not a matter of respect, actually...

Some things simply awaken a man's curiosity.

Oh, excuse me... You probably don't know what I'm talking about.

- Honestly, Fábio... Sometimes you get to a very low level!

- Good morning! - Good morning! - So, how did things run?

- I managed to fall asleep, somehow.

- You were lucky. Fábio "did one of his deeds", last night. - Oh, I don't wanna hear about him! I'm already sick for today, thanks to his comments.

- He's like the saying: "a barking dog, never bites". - And you don't even know yet what he did last night.

- I don't know but I wanna know, now.

- I caught him spying on Mariana's bedroom. The only thing missing for him there was a cellphone for him to take a picture!

- He's such a weirdo! - Totally!

- Good morning! - Hi, good morning! - Good morning!

- Valéria, will you take breakfast with us? - No, she has to go. - Ok.

- Goodbye. See you later. Ciao.

- Look, who she is? Where did you hide your friend?

- What? - Nothing!...

You could have shared...

Ouch! It hurts, pal!

What? Is it the first time you see me?

- How did you get that scratching on your neck? - In a tree... Why?

- In a tree? Do you know what you deserve? - What are you talking about?

- Yes, you know! - Ouch! What's up, man! Are you nuts?

Oh, man... What a nightmare! Now he knows it was me!

Look, man... What do I do? - Nothing, man...

Stay quiet. Pretend you don't know why he beated you.

- Oh, that won't change anything. He already knows it was me.

And soon, he'll realize you were there too. - No, he won't realize.

Only if you tell him! - Me? Do you think so? Are you crazy? Of course I won't say a word.

I mean, I just don't think it's fair that I'll be the only one to blame!

- Listen, If you open up your mouth to speak my name, you'll get serious trouble, man!

I'll beat you so hard that I'll break your mouth! - Calm down! Calm down!

Damn it! We're partners, aren't we?

- Yeah, but don't you take it for granted...

Don't get me trouble... And I won't get you trouble...

- So, what's the special dish for today?

- You'll gonna love it!

Well, but this is complicated! It's a real fight!

- Oh... Will we have a special dish? - Yes, to celebrate the beginning of RIO generation, at school!

- Don't you guys have nothing else to do?

- While there's something more important than looking to our own belly button, we can assure you that we don't!

- Can someone explain to me what's that RIO thing?

- It's a group created by Mariana.

- It fights against injustices at school!

- We fight for fairness at the school! - Boring!

- Oh, man... You're the one who's boring! You sound like an old man! - You mean, a mature man!

- Fábio, don't be such a loser! If RIO gets to be so popular as MAR, we'll make history!

- But you always "let the water get in" [like a boat that sinks].

It's MAR (sea), it's RIO (river), it's... - BORING!!!

- Will you finish cooking dinner fast enough for us to eat it today, or will we get a stomach ulcer while we wait?

- Pal, you're the one who has ulcers! IN THE BRAIN!

- Are those for the masquerade party?

- Yes. You're going, right?

- I guess so...

- I'm gonna be there. And you're all gonna be surprised with my costume.

- Oh, yeah... I can imagine...

- What about you, André? Do you already know what are you going to wear?

Are you gonna be a little fairy or Cinderella?

- I won't show up as a fairy, for sure.!

It's not cool to have two of them at the same party!

- I didn't get that one. Are you going to take a friend with you? - Come on! Dinner's ready!

- Hallelujah!!!

- Thank you all for having decided to join RIO!

Well, to start... There's only one rule in RIO. We never talk about RIO! - What?

- We must promise to never reveal to the outside world any decisions or matters that we discuss inside her.

I believe that with RIO we'll be able to fight against all the injustice in this school!

Let's show our principal... That she is one...

Against all of us! - Well said!

- May we talk? - Sure.

What about that big "bomb" you wanted to reveal to us? You didn't say a word.

- I Thought I should take this matter in a more... - ...Private way? - Exactly!

RIO is against all the injustice in the school. Then, we have an issue to solve, here... I already know who did that thing to Alex.

- Fábio??? - Yeah. Alex told me. He's totally sure about it. - I live with Fábio! I know he's an asshole, but... to do such thing?

- Yeah, he did it!

- Maybe he wanted revenge for being suspended. - Yeah, that's possible. - But, nothing justifies what he did!

- Yeah, Alex could be dead, now! - Fábio is "asking" for a little lessons!

- But Alex told me that there was another person in there. - Yeah, I can see who was it. - João Pedro!

- Another asshole!

- He told me he's not sure about that.

Now you figured out why I've decided to tell you guys about this.

Alex has been bullied by almost everyone and this went too far! - Don't worry...

We'll see crystal clear if the other person was actually João Pedro!

- I just know that Alext can't continue to be bullied like this, just because he's... he's different.

- May I count on you guys? - Oh yeah!...

- I invited Alda to make the cocktails at the party.

- Do you think she knows how to make... - Forget about "Tom Cruise's!"

- Mariana, It was just an idea!...

- a BAD idea, as always! Actually, you love to have ideas, but all of them, are BAD!!!

- But, what have I done to you, now? - Nothing! You exist! That's all, pal!

- Guys... Let's take it easy... We're having dinner.

May we have a little peace in this house?

- Papoila is right. Calm down, Fábio.

- Excuse me, but, is it my fault? She's the one freaking out!

- Oh, stop complaining, man! God!...

- I see that your revolutionary meeting didn't run very well...

- It was very good! - Seriously? Oh...

- Papoila, could you pass me the water, please? - Take it.

- Thank you.

- So, did you take any important decisions already? - BINGO! [ Oh Yeah! ]

- I wouldn't mind to be a little fly in moments like this.

- And I wouldn't mind to be a slipper to hit you really hard!!!

- Good morning!

- What's up, guys! Are you alright?

- Not really, pal... - Why?

- We have to talk.

- It looks like you find it very funny to bury living people, right?

- Oh, pal... Excuse me, but I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

- No?

Then, we better refresh your memory.

- Do you remember it, now? - About what? - Who's the guy, man?

- Let me go! I didn't do anything! - Are you sure? - Let me go! Yes, I'm sure!

- It seems like his memory didn't come back yet. - Let me go! You're going to kill me!

- This guys is really talented for drama! It's impressive! - What do you guys want?

- We wanna know who helped you! - Doing what?

- Are you playing the fool? Who helped you burying Alex!!!

- Are you stupid or what? I didn't bury anybody!

- Will you confess it? Or will we have to break your mouth?

What's New in Web of Science - June 2017 - Duration: 3:26.

We've made upgrades to the Web of Science interface that make it easier to navigate

between databases, and choose your search options.

The most popular search options in the Web of Science Core Collection are now front and

center, giving you quicker access to the tools you need.

Click the More option to see additional ways to search.

You'll also find improvements to the way you manage your search results.

Using the new Fast 5K option, quickly export up to 5,000 records.

You'll need to be signed in to your Web of Science profile to take advantage of this

option.

Article data downloads into tab-delimited text format for use in documents and spreadsheets.

Changes to the refine panel bring key options to the top for quick access.

Refine by Highly Cited and Hot Papers, for example.

If you need more details on Hot and Highly cited definitions, click the icon on any article.

Refine options have been reordered, bringing the most popular options to the top.

But at the bottom of the panel, you can View all available options by clicking here.

We've added a new option for refining by Web of Science Core Collection index, so you

focus on the broad groupings of content you need.

And each record clearly displays the index name.

There are improvements to the Marked List.

Additional fields are now available for export.

Indicators of gold Open Access status, as well as Highly Cited and Hot Paper status

can now be exported alongside other bibliographic data.

Marked Lists now hold up to 50,000 records each, with up to 50 saved marked lists per

user profile, making it easier to curate lists and send to InCites for bibliometric analysis.

The Citation Report feature has been redesigned with interactive visualizations to help you

quickly interpret the data.

Hover over definitions make it clear what the numbers mean.

Export easily to text or Excel.

We're also making the content in Web of Science accessible more quickly.

Web of Science Core Collection is now updated every day, so you'll find that article counts

and citation counts may change more frequently.

If you have email alerts scheduled weekly, there will be no change, they will simply

be an aggregate of the prior week's daily updates.

And searches using the Latest Week option will return the prior week's daily updates.
