hey guys welcome to tech best today we are having a quick look at this very
powerful but affordable Windows 10 tablet PC it's called the cube mix plus
now I got this from a Gearbest and there will be links in the description
below if you want to know current pricing you can get an optional keyboard
dock to turn it into a two in one tablet laptop hybrid and there is also
an optional Wacom stylus so it's well suited for painting and drawing and
writing so let's quickly cover the main specifications so firstly we get a 10.6
1080p IPS display now it's not the brightest screen around but it
is sharp with good viewing angles and of course it also has the Wacom digitizer
built in the processor is an Intel kaby lake core m3-7Y30 which can turbo boost to 2.6
gigahertz and is one of the best you can get in this class of device graphics
are Intel HD 615 and we also get 4 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of SSD storage
we also get a couple of cameras that are fine for video calls and basic photos
the tablet itself weighs about 700 grams and is 9.6 millimeters thick
on the bottom is where the keyboard would connect on the Left we get DC
power in Micro USB 3.0 USB type-c you can charge the tablet from this port but
you'll need to have a high powered charger a phone charger won't be
sufficient I used a 65 watt laptop charger and
it worked fine it takes about two hours to fully charge we also get a microSD
slot and a 3.5 millimeter audio jack on the top here we have the power and
volume buttons and mic and over here we have dual speakers they're not great
they get the job done but having both on the right side isn't ideal when watching
movies in landscape mode the back is made of metal and overall
the build quality feels very solid inside the box we get a bunch of
documentation a charger and a micro USB 3.0 to full size USB adapter so you can
connect up your USB devices straight out-of-the-box now if you need more USB
ports the optional keyboard dock adds two full-sized ports so what's good
about this tablet well it all comes down to performance which is very fast the
kaby lake core m3 is super speedy it is far more powerful than an Atom or Celeron
based option also this tablet uses an SSD now similar price tablets use slower
flash based memory which usually maxes out at around 150 megabytes per second
read speeds but the SSD in this tablet is capable of over 500 megabytes per
second read speeds so this means App load times should be noticeably
faster now although this is a very well made and very fast tablet there are a
couple of things that perhaps stopped us from being a great device first is
battery life which is only good for around four to five hours on a single
charge the second thing is the delay when waking from standby now Windows
tablets often have a delay when waking up but this one does seem to take longer
than normal and I'll show you what I mean so right now the tablet is in
standby mode and I'll just go ahead and click the power on button and you can
see it takes a little bit of time to wake up now depending on your level of
patience this may bug some people overall though the cube next plus is a
good windows 10 tablet especially if you need performance or Wacom support
but if you want a tablet mainly for web browsing and streaming movies then check
out my personal favorite low cost Windows 10 tablet which is called the
chewi high 13 now it isn't quite as fast but it has a much much better screen four
speakers and it costs less I'll leave links to my review on this in the
