I need something to kind of keep me landed and grounded otherwise I'm still
gonna be flying up here praise the Lord thanks Matt just like that video talked
about we're talking about Christmas and our series that pastors having us talk
about and kind of convey obviously is what child is this and thank you Matt
he's one of our amazing youth leaders that guy that guy is like the Rock of
Gibraltar he is awesome he is on time he's faithful praise the Lord you can't
ask for much better than that amen and so we're talking about what child is
this in the Christmas season and as pastor said my name is Kevin Dharma from
a youth ministry here and I work a lot with teenagers and students so some
sometimes I don't I get a little crazy get a little bit out there so just
forgive me praise the Lord it's part of my personality but I do tone it down a
little bit for you adults sometimes I don't know go to Matthew chapter 1 verse
18 if you got your Bibles and I'm gonna be reading from the New Living
Translation this morning you got your Bibles in verse 18 it says
in a new living translation I'll give you a second to get there we're gonna
read a couple verses this morning then we're gonna dive into what what God has
for us today amen it says in verse 18 it says this is how
Jesus the Messiah was born his mother Mary was engaged to be married to Joseph
but before the marriage took place while she was still a virgin she became
pregnant through the power of the Holy Spirit Joseph to whom she was engaged
was a righteous man and did not want to disgrace her publicly so he decided to
break the engagement now we'll stop right there and we'll go
over to another verse I'm gonna shoot around go to Luke chapter 1 verse 28
we're seeing right there in Matthew that that was Joseph's side of the story okay
how many know that you're married you you have a husbands and wives you know
that there's always two sides to a situation amen you ladies know that that
you have one viewpoint us guys have a completely different viewpoint amen
praise the Lord I learned that real quick in marriage my first argument we
had I learned I said where did you get that from she's like what did you
from I'm like your Lord help us we need to come to the middle Amen we did come
to the middle by the way praise the Lord Luke chapter one praise the Lord verse
26 it says in the New Living Translation verse 26 it says in the sixth month of
Elizabeth's pregnancy God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth a bilging Galilee to
a virgin named Mary she was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph a
descendant of King David verse 28 Gabriel appeared to her and
said greetings favored one the Lord is with you couldn't know those verse 29
confused and disturbed now I don't know about you but Mary was sitting there she
was a little confused and disturbed by seeing an angel a man she got a little
confusing disturbed it says Mary tried to think of what the angel could mean
verse 30 he said don't be afraid Mary the angel told her for you have found
favor with God and I know about you but if I it now I know you ladies but if you
ladies had enough angel appear to you and say guess what you're engaged but
you're gonna become pregnant and you're not gonna become pregnant from your
future husband you be probably looking at like what are you kidding me see
here's Mary sitting here she's thinking what most of us think when we sit when
we come up against a circumstance that seems impossible we're thinking what in
the world am I gonna do and here's the thing Mary here this is what God was
doing with her she had to sit here and trust that God was telling her was the
truth verse 30 he said don't be afraid verse 9 says you will conceive and give
birth to a son and you will name him Jesus and he will be very great and will
be called the son of the Most High the Lord God will give him the throne of his
ancestor David and he will reign over Israel verse 34 says Mary ask the angel
but how can this happen I am a virgin hello God what are you talking about
she's sitting here looking as saying this is not does not equate with my
human brain okay she's sitting here saying this is absolutely impossible the
angel privately replied the Holy Spirit will come upon
and the power the most high will overshadow you so the baby will be born
and will be holy and he will be called the Son of God what's more your relative
Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age that again is a miracle
people used to say she was barren but she was conceived as son and is now in
her sixth month for the word of God will never fail Mary responded check out her
response I am the Lord's servants may everything
that you have said about me come true and an angel left her Mary visits
Elizabeth verse 39 a few days later Mary hurried to the hill country of Judea to
the town verse 40 where Zechariah lived she entered the house and greeted
Elizabeth at the sound of Mary's greeting the Lizabeth child leaped
within her and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit Elizabeth gave a glad
cry and explained exclaimed to Mary God has blessed you above all women and your
child is blessed why verse 43 it says why am I so honored that the mother of
my lord should visit me when I heard your greeting the baby in my womb jump
for joy you are blessed because you believe that the Lord would do what he
said verse 46 Mayer responded oh how my soul praises the Lord how my spirit
rejoices in God my Savior for he took notice his lowly servant grown from now
all generations will call me blessed for the Mighty One is holy and he has done
great things for me he shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear
Him now check this out we'll stop right there later on in this chapter Mary goes
on to sing a song and praise God for what's happened I'm gonna break this
story down a lot of us talk about the the Christmas store and we talk about it
like it's kind of like a second-rate thing or like it just happened in a way
you had a nice little baby as Jesus and all this good stuff and we talk about
the crucifixion of Jesus and the resurrection
obviously that crucifixion resurrection was the act that gives us salvation we
know this but there's an important thing that happened with Jesus birth that we
all got to take a look back and go back and look towards that happened that was
an absolute utter amazing miracle now we know about Jesus in the Old Testament
that Jesus had over 350 prophecies about him that he fulfilled now I was studying
this and I up an article that a one a college
university professor had over 600 mathematical students in this College
University's professor had them do equations and fractions about the
probability of one prophecy in a person's lifetime being fulfilled and it
was like 21 to the 10th power or something like that then they went on
to sit just 61 prophecies being fulfilled in one lifetime and that
professor said that they came out an equation and it was so big it was a
trillion to the trillion to the trillion to the trillion power it was so big they
just said you know what forget math this is completely utterly impossible for
this to happen now here's the thing let's break it down some more Joseph and
Mary Joseph sitting there in this situation and here's an angel parent to
him telling him you know hit your wife's pregnant she's just a virgin and I'm
about you but if my wife Jen came up to me we're about to get married and she
said guess what honey I said what she said I'm pregnant it's not from you I
don't know about you but I would be like really and then she tells me it's from
the Holy Spirit I'd be like girl you're getting all spiritual on me are you
kidding me and here's the thing we for Joseph and Mary think about this and
comprehend for them too in their situation back then when stuff back then
was looked upon a lot more serious than it is now nowadays whatever is whatever
we're like okay that's cool whatever hey back then it was serious back then
it even said when you got engaged to someone you actually had to file for
divorce to get unengaged that was before he even got married so Joseph is sitting
here and he's like excuse me what I mean II it's natural that he would be little
disturbed he'd be like are you kidding me and here's Mary at first she's like
what but check out what Mary did after a while check out what she did she finally
had her perspective changed she finally had after the angel kept
talking to her see sometimes we hear the word of God on a Sunday morning we hear
the Bible and we hear we're like I got it I got it
we get out there we face something during the week and we're like oh I
don't got it anybody in here ever do that I'm glad
some people in here honest praise the Lord but here's the thing you get out
there and the word of God's in you sometimes you got to hear it in here
that's why I wrote that Romans 10:17 says faith comes by hearing and hearing
and hearing you can't just hear it want to go out there and conquer the world
praise the Lord faith has to be built and with Mary and
Joseph the angel built faith in them they had to tell them and then here's
look at look what she did Mary after a while she just said you know what this
situation looks crazy but I'm gonna get my praise on I'm gonna start getting out
there and I'm gonna get my praise on because even though it doesn't look like
it could happen even though it doesn't look like it's a good situation the
natural I know that God gave me a word and I don't know about you but this if
you go to a new creation Church we are a word Church hello we are a sanctified
Holy Ghost spirit filled healing Church amen and we as people of God we come
here on Sunday morning I come here and I hear pastor Mario preaching the word I
might give me some more give me some more because I know when I walk out
those doors I know the enemy is gonna come trying to throw all kinds of
craziness my way because he knows I got a plan he knows I got a purpose he knows
that I got to get out there and fulfill God's plan for my life so I gotta get as
much faith built up in me so when I get out there I can be more than a conqueror
amen and that's what God has for us with Joseph and Mary they were sitting there
as most of us are young people God's telling them guess what you're gonna
give birth to the Son of God it's not going to be just a normal child with a
normal life in a normal situation it's going to be a life of supernatural faith
in God you're gonna have to step out in faith where others don't
probably you're gonna have to step out in faith
where you never thought you possibly could step out with faith anybody in
here has ever had that before anybody facing that right now say you can say
Amen amen praise the Lord God wants you to know the miracle of the birth of
Jesus you know Christmas season and I just can't stand hearing about this
people say they see on the news the media that Christmas season one of the
most depressing times of the year are you kidding me
you want to know why I shouldn't be the most depressing time this season because
one of the greatest miracles ever in all of time never before and never after was
the virgin birth and what do we celebrate on Christmas it's not a
Christmas tree it's not gifts we are celebrating the birth of Jesus who gave
us everything we have in life as Christians he gave us a new covenant
whoo that means Jesus is inside of us that means the Holy Spirit's inside of
me that means when I don't know where to go
or what to do the Holy Spirit does and he can help me when I can't face a
situation God's in me he can handle it for me praise God and you don't have to
be Israeli to do it I'm gonna break it down I'm sorry I break the Bible down in
a crazy way but seriously in the Old Testament you basically had it be an
Israeli basically in the New Testament boy we expanded that I'm telling you God
has a plan for your life and Christmas season it should be a celebration now
some you you're gonna get this and you're gonna walk out here you're gonna
be doing the electric slide you're gonna be doing the Harlem shake at the devil
whatever you got to do you're gonna be saying hi devil guess what I'm gonna be
celebrating this Christmas season why because it doesn't matter what gifts are
under my tree I got the greatest gift of all time and it's been unwrapped already
and I can partake in it I don't have to live in
destruction and defeat I'm gonna have to be broke busted or disgusted anymore I
could be victorious blessed and just running it through life happy see this
is what God has for us notice here and verse 19 of Matthew
chapter 1 notice what Joseph did here notice what he did here he was gonna
divorce her now think about this for the Covenant of God the new covenant to be
fulfilled here's that here's the crazy thing about it is that Mary Jesus had to
be a direct descendant of King David okay Mary was not a direct descendant of
King David Joseph was but yet Jesus could not be of the sin nature the seed
of man which means Joseph could not be involved which means it had to be
utterly impossible whew somebody gonna get this utterly impossible I'm gonna
read a verse real quick here praise the Lord that means it had to be possible
through God so Joseph had to marry Joseph had to
marry Mary praise the Lord I know that rhymes no I'm not wrapping up here I
haven't gone to that level yet I know some guys who can rap but I don't do
that here's the thing Joseph had to marry
Mary if he didn't marry her but here check out what the enemy tried to do
through Joseph and Mary from the very beginning that God gave them the word
from the very beginning the enemy tried to give Joseph and Mary a negative
thought he tried to give him a thought saying this is impossible what do you
think you're doing there's no way this has never been done before nobody in
history you see Lazarus was raised from the dead you know there's lots of people
in the race from dead but when's the last time you heard about someone having
a virgin birth praise the Lord through the Holy Spirit
so Joseph and Mary had to look at this and Joseph had to he could have easily
divorced her he could have said you know what this is
too crazy I don't believe this I can't believe this could ever possibly
happen let me break this down for you guys real quick here when I was personal
testimony but when I was starting off to the mission field Lord called me to go
to Scotland I had no inclination I had just got finished with Tulsa Russa ylim
Tulsa Oklahoma I was happy to be leaving Tolson praise the Lord for me
some people had that's their thing it's good for me I came from Colorado that
was a step down hey I'm just kidding no anyway praise the Lord
but anyway so God called me said I want you to go serve a dude in Scotland I'm
like really are you kidding me fact when I went to go meet with him I I met with
him privately and he says okay Kevin where's the Lord told you I said the
Lord spoke to me and told me I'm supposed to serve you and whatever that
entails I could I can work I even off I said I've been working in ministry
office in Arkansas if you want he literally the dude his pastor Scott
Stewart he was behind his desk and he jumps up and down goes like this goes
you're the one I'm like what my dear God would I just get myself into
he goes you're the one I've been praying for years for someone exactly your age
and the Lord told me you'd be 21 and you're supposed to go to Scotland so I'm
like whoa are you kidding me he's like I've been praying for years for you I'll
make really praise the Lord that your prayers worked praise the Lord
come miracle right there and so I'm excited I'm like okay I'm gonna be he's
like heaven okay this is what I want you do I want you to go get your residency
visa to Great Britain and then you can come on over
notice get your residency visa and then you can come on over so I start applying
to my residency visa I really had no clue what I was doing
so I'm applied for residency visa and the British Consulate calls me and they
said we looked over your application and there's no way we can approve this I
said oh Jesus thank you Lord ah what am I getting myself into
so I called the British I saw that in the
spirit of Lord rose up in size it calm again I call him back again I said
you've got my application to say yes if we do I said I really feel like you know
I need to do this what do I need to do to get this this application fulfilled
what I need to do get this approved they said well - in order for this
application to be approved for your residency visa we needed you to have
four years of college four years of Bible College four years of ordained
ministry experience four years of mission marry experience overseas in
another country I'm doing the math four plus four four four four four I came up
to 20 I'm 21 I have to start at 1 years old I was like well okay so I hung up
the phone got a little discouraged just start
praying a little bit Lord prompting me again call him again
all right call him again call them again they get on the phone with them they're
sitting there they're like alright well let us we'll go ahead and we'll talk to
the ambassador of Great Britain and we'll get back with you
alright get back with me I get a phone call that day later I remember it beau
called a later lady calls me she says the ambassador of Great Britain wants
you to get on a plane flight tomorrow morning and be at the British Consulate
in Los Angeles at 8 o'clock 8:30 in the morning I'm thinking today morning I
gotta be there I got a book a ticket now so I mean I'm like trying to book a
ticket I'm booking a ticket and that ticket was pretty pricey the night
before that I wake up that morning of I gotta be at the airport at all right
five o'clock in the morning I wake up sicker then I'll get out I mean I'm
fever hitting me you know just all the symptoms you can you can think about I'm
I mean I'm like crawling crawl into the doorway like I'm telling my mom like mom
just putting on the plane just drag my body on the plane do what you got to do
I'll survive as long as I know how to love I know I will survive so I might
get me on the plane so I get on the plane the whole time I'm just
praying in this appear on the plane I'm just I'm still not feeling good at all I
mean I can barely even look up I'm just as soon I got as my witness as soon as
the plane touched down it's like a snap of a finger
the sickness left me boom then my aunt's and my parents they're from Detroit my
aunt is from Detroit god bless them I think they learned how to my aunt she's
a she's from Detroit she drives you can tell she's from Detroit so we get on the
LA expressway and its morning traffic cars are standing still they're not
moving somehow my aunt's van is moving I'm sitting there to see like dear Lord
I want to live she's I mean we get to the median there's like a four-lane
highway on each side there's a big you know those medians she stopped the
British Consulate on the other side of the median okay the other side she goes
slams on the brake she goes Kevin get out I'm like oh she's not get out you're
gonna be late I take open the door I'm doing OJ
Simpson across the parking lot I'm high I mean I'm I'm doing Deion Sanders I'm
getting my legs up I'm I'm runner good people looking like what's wrong with
that that you've run across I'm getting I get in there God is my witness met
with the British ambassador I will make this story long but I look at the
British master he never looked up at me once and I started he said well why
should I prove this Saudi guy Rosa preaching at the guy
I don't wants to do I stop reaching them we're gonna see people get saved we're
gonna see young people get touched by God I'm just going I don't know what I
said to this day it was a Spirit of God came out of me and he shakes his head II
so I don't know why I'm doing this and I shouldn't be doing this but him go ahead
and approve it walked out of the room I met a guy recently a wonderful man of
God who's actually the son-in-law of our wonderful pastors Jonathan and I sat
down with him Ward told me to go go out to lunch with him talk to him I love the
guy he's like he's an amazing man a gun it's so I'm
sitting meet with them and I want to meet with him anyway but the Lord said
make sure you take him out to lunch so I got to lunch with him he's telling me
I'll tell him the whole story and he looks at me he goes Kevin do you realize
how unbelievable that is I said enlighten me
he goes first of all ambassadors never meet with people they don't meet with
people they've got people to meet with people
secondly the Ambassador never leaves Washington he said so I'm wondering how
in the world he met with you in LA I said I don't know he was there OHS he's
behind a glass case I had two armed guards next to me I don't know he said
that is a complete miracle but here's the thing sometimes we as Christians we
gotta be oblivious to circumstances if we're gonna obey God we can't sit and
look at the surface as it says it no God's Word says this so that means I
have it cuz I'm more than a conqueror sounds 5/12 favor surrounds me it
encompasses me everywhere I go that means when I walked into that
British Consulate the favor of God walked with me and just because the
situation looked like it was impossible doesn't mean it wasn't possible to God
I'm here to tell you you can meet you may have been going through some things
you mean dealing with some things I know this is kind of crazy but here's the
thing sometimes faith isn't like sheikha pudding now some of you who grew up in
the 60s and 70s you remember shake a pudding okay you pour the it's like this
pudding thing the little cup you pour the powder in you pour water shake it
and it's instant pudding okay it's called shake a pudding teenagers think
I'm talking about something else no I'm not talking about that anyway I'll just
woo working with too much of teenagers amen Matthew chapter 19 verse 26 faith
isn't always like sheikha pudding let me go get something real quick I'll
come down from the seventh heaven praise the Lord there's always like
shaking pudding here Matthew chapter 19 verse 26 it says in verse 26 it says but
Jesus looked at them and said with man this is impossible but with God
what Oh things are possible that's why with faith it says in Hebrews chapter 6
it says through faith and what patience we inherit the promises I had to have
some patience to call them back dear Lord I'm like I don't like sitting on
phone with people too long praise the Lord let's get down to
business I'm the type of guy a little as conversation a little more action anyway
I'll just stop right there it's not faith is sometimes more like je ll oh
you guys ever made jello before come on don't look at me like you haven't made
jello I know you've made jello before okay so it's like jello you got a you
got to get the water you got to put the powder in sometimes you got to stir the
power see sometimes God's going to stir you up a little bit got to stir the
powder then you got to make sure the water is heated and then after the water
is heated you got to get it in the refrigerator and the freezer what does a
refrigerator do the frigerator gets it set right here's the thing some of
you've been believing God for some things some of you have been speaking
some things over your life some of you guys have been tithe and some things
giving offerings and some things some of you guys have been believing for your
family to get healed you've been believing for finances to come in you've
been believing for situations in your life to come come to pass and you've
been saying God why hasn't it happen why has this not happening yet why have not
not seen this happen yet and God wants to tell you don't don't get impatient
don't lose hope don't lose faith right now because guess what the thing that
you've sowed seed is here right now it's encased in heavens
refrigerator right now and it's just getting set because I've got to get it
set just right at the just right time so when it comes out the blessing is just
going to overflow in you amen see God is it God's Word he said he puts his
word above his name his word is true his word is power when his word says it that
settles it there's no more discussions amen
and here's the thing the enemy the devil wants to give you guys an optical
illusions guess what he's been doing he gives you the optical illusions he gives
you circumstances as like an optical illusion that appear to be what's gonna
happen in life but God says my word supersedes anything on this planet
here's the thing with Joseph and Mary they were they had persistent faith
after they after the birth that you are before the birth of Jesus Joseph Mary
had to travel 81 miles from Nazareth to Bethlehem 81 miles and I'm here to tell
you they did not have a brand new Hyundai Sonata to get them there they
did not have paid roads they had they they really didn't have a lot of good
transportations they had to drag travel 81 miles a lot of it by foot I don't
know about you but that's a long trip ok so during those 81 miles I'm sure the
whole time they're thinking what did we get ourselves into see sometimes I'm
like Lord just get it over with just hit me just hit me just hit me I don't want
to have to walk through this anybody else in here been there I'm here to tell
you we are a faint Church I'm telling you we're a debt-free Faith Church
because we've got faith in this church there's healing in this church there's
deliverance in this church but here's the thing
we as human beings we get impatient we want fast food everything's fat you
never notice my fast food is not very good for you it tastes good at first but
after a while it doesn't settle well home-cooked meals they taste good but
guess what they take more time to prepare see God wants to give you a home
cooked meals he's not trying to get you fast food that when it tastes good at
first but then in the long run it's nasty
I don't know about you but one okay I ever pinned in one of those play
fast food places and afterwards you thought dear Lord I need to find a
bathroom real quick whoa I'm gonna I'm gonna we gotta help
raise I'll just stop I won't even I could go on I'm not around teenagers
right now so I will L stop woo first Corinthians 15 verse 57 I don't want to
go too long this one first Corinthians 15 verse 57 it says but thanks be to God
who gives us the victory as conquerors through our Lord Jesus Christ he's given
us the victory it's already there it's not like we have to shake it bake it
flip it flat or come up with it God's given us the victory the problem is is
with us when we look at it and we say it hasn't happened yet well just because it
happened is doesn't mean it's not gonna happen cuz delay is not denial because
it stills getting set Amen that's what God wants to tell you guys this morning
but the story of Joseph and Mary when they when they when they walked out in
faith they had to change their perspective their to change what they
were viewing they can't they couldn't look at it as oh man this shouldn't
happen in the natural no they had to look at it and say God gave us a word
God gave us a word if God's given you a word guess what it doesn't matter what
comes your way it doesn't matter if it's the biggest thing you ever thought you'd
ever face if God's giving you a word then it will
come to pass God gave me a word said get your Italian polish whatever rear end
over to Scotland I knew it was gonna had come to pass I didn't know how I was
gonna come to pass I just knew it was gonna come to pass and I even had to
preach at an ambassador who I should have been meeting with in the first
place but that's God that's his that's way he does things he doesn't just come
out here and say well okay I'm just gonna give you everything at once
because you wonder why we couldn't handle it
if you I if God told me everything every place I've been in ministry and where
he's called me to best American Amen on this one he knows exactly what I'm
talking about I'd have been like
kicking out is there an option B is there an option P because I'm Justin B
cuz this is crazy this makes utterly no sense to me you
know what I was told I was told by so I was even told by other ministers that
because the Lord had us be on different staffs of different churches and and and
I was told by Minister one time I said you know most ministers after working
for their second church don't make it in ministry I thought well okay well guys
tell me so doesn't matter what I think right it matters what the Word of God
thinks amen and it you know here's the thing a lot
of you you may be in a situation as a purpose where God in a situation of life
where someone's told you you can't do this you can't be this you can't
overcome this your family look at your family look at this look at what you've
been situation but you've been dealt in life and you can say but the Word of God
says it doesn't matter what I've been dealt it matters what the Word of God
says and that's what God deals in my life because if God said it that means
it has to come to pass now obviously we know there are things there are
stipulations you know you got to be serving God and fellowship with him
hello it's a relationship you can't just talk to God one time a year and say okay
Lord you got it I'll just go leave you be no it's the relationship we got to
have a relationship I don't know about you but I have a wonderful wife and if I
never talked to her we would have issues I'm telling you I love my wife sometimes
she'll have me up at night and she I'll be going to bed trying to snooze it
should be I got an idea I got an idea don't you look at you you has been
looking at me like you've never seen it happen before anyway she's I got ideas
she's talking and talking to talking and I'm like your Lord my brain can only
handle four words today and you're on like 10,000 but she's great like that
she's anointed she can think about things I don't think about and that's
great because there's things she needs to think about that I don't think about
that tell me that I didn't think about amen this is a little help for you
husbands praise the Lord so talk to your wife listen even when you're thinking
this is like the 500 word today it's okay it's good we need it praise the
Lord we just grunt huh
sorry whoo Jeremiah 1 verse 11 go to Jeremiah 1
verse 11 my brother Jeremiah whoo my man Jeremiah the word of the Lord came to me
saying what do you see Jeremiah and I said I see a rod of an almond tree then
the Lord said to me you have seen well for I am watching and another
translation says hastening over my word to perform it
now I'm gonna I'm gonna break this down for you real quick God's word in your
life when he says I am hastening you know what hastening means pacing means
to run with such speed that you are completely out of breath now let's just
put this in God's hands the creator of heaven and earth running as fast as he
can where he's completely out of breath to perform his word in your life when
you have a word over your life when word is spoken when you speak the Word of God
over your life this Bible this powerful book of power of supernatural power
God's words when you speak that over your life every time you can have
confidence with your mindset to know that God is running fast to perform that
word in your life and here's the thing we get caught up into timing of things
don't wait come on now I'm not the only human being in this room praise the Lord
we get caught up in the timing of things we get caught up on what is it gonna
happen when is it gonna happen you know what sometimes we need to leave
that in God's field because he knows best when we need it
amen some y'all pqp like I've been single I'm waiting to get married
something to get married like can I be single again I'm kidding
that was a joke so y'all take it we said no please don't
some y'all been waiting to get married some y'all been waiting for that
blessing some y'all been waiting for those things to happen and gods saying I
am running to hastening to perform it but you've got to let me do it in the
timing that I have it to happen amen delay is not denial remember Joseph and
Mary had to go 81 miles for that word to be performed I'm sure there is like Lord
didn't get it over with man get it over with be done with it but God said nope
it's gonna happen when it's supposed to happen
Amen praise the Lord praise God really quickly here got a couple more things I
want to go over real quick going back and forth through my notes if you're on
you version they're on there but I'm all over the place so you might follow me
you might not I praise the Lord you might have some issues with that
okay second Kings chapter 6 and I'm gonna paraphrase that well I'll go
through this second Kings chapter 6 in verse 13 and this is the story of Elijah
and his servant and some of you have read this story before the reason I'm
saying this because it has to do with Joseph and Mary's perspective but what
they had the situation they had to go through 2nd Kings chapter 6 verse 13 it
says go and find out where he is the king commanded now this is the king of
the Arminian armies and this King wanted to kill and destroy
Elisha he was he was out to get him so I can send troops to seize him and the
report came out back Elisha is at Dothan so one night the king of Arum sent a
great army with many chariots and horses to surround the city you know if the
Bible says it's the great army that means there's probably more than a
thousand dudes it's a big army ok this is a power form is it just like ok we're
just having a little football game in the backyard this is a powerful army
they were powerful do that lashes it so when the sermon of verse 15 it says when
the servant and the man of God got up early next morning went outside there
were troops horses and chariots everywhere Oh sir what will we do now
the young man cried Elisha don't be afraid Elisha told him he's looking at
like she's like too late I was afraid a long time do you see
what's going on outside here we are surrounded there's two of us and about
4,000 of them those odds do not equate very well for me and you brother I love
you but we're gonna die unless something happens here so he's looking out there
looking out the window it says let's just don't be afraid for there are more
on our side than theirs then the Lord pray didn't Elisha prayed o Lord opened
his eyes and let him see the Lord opened youngmen eyes and when he looked up he
saw the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire
here's the thing sometimes God's got to open our eyes
to have a see that greater is He that's in us than he that's in the world that
means the greater one is in us than is in your situation whatever you're facing
today whatever I know we have a room full of people with situations and some
of them seem insurmountable whatever it is you just need to know that God is
greater than your situation that his word in your life is greater than your
situation whatever you're facing it will you will get through it by the Word of
God God has everything that you need in fees in Chapter 1 the business prayers
it says the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe that the
eyes of our understanding are being unlikely what does that mean that means
the eyes are humanly eyes need to be enlightened to God's eyes to see what
God sees because what God sees is victory God doesn't see defeat God sees
life he doesn't see death God sees prosperity he doesn't see poverty God
sees victory he doesn't see defeat in your life that's what God sees and I
don't know about you but you may be a person in here you've been facing things
you've been in situations where you're saying I can't get out of this and God
wants to tell you you can't get out of this I've got what your situations going
through I've got it I'm gonna perform my word in your life so just hold on keep
speaking the Word of God and don't give up because it's through faith and
patience that you inherit the promises faith does not look at the situation
faith looks at the Word of God and what the Word of God says in your life and
I'm here to tell you this morning that you know what sometimes it's not like
sheikha pudding it's like je ll o amen it's in the God's
gonna bring it to pass but we've also got allow God to set it and what that is
is faith it's trusting God pastor Mario talked about you offering
this morning about tithes and offering in proverbs chapter 3 if you go up
earlier in that chapter 3 verse 5 it says trust in the Lord with all your
heart and lean not to your own understanding in all your ways
acknowledge him what direct your paths you gotta trust
in him you know when I was a senior in high school I told you guys before but
God told me to change height' high school's my senior year I was also I
wanted to go to college I wanted to go to a normal secular college and get my
degree and everything and guys did go to Bible School in Tulsa Oklahoma I thought
Lord you are totally shaking up my whole entire life what life I had it it's gone
but guess what the life I now live is in him Glacius 220 I died with Christ so
the life I live now is in Christ Jesus some of us got to die to what our life
is and I don't mean death physically I mean you just got to die to what your
life is and say god my life is all yours you take it you use it whatever you want
to do with me and I'm telling you right now God will use you to do things you
never thought possible he wants to do it every one of your lives and this morning
with the story of Joseph and Mary it's a great story but it's not just a story
it's it's a real occurrence that happened and we talked about the
Christmas story but it's a real occurrence real event that happened and
here's the thing guys Christmas should be a celebration a celebration of God
doing the impossible in Joseph and Mary's life and guess what in our lives
too because we're believers we've got that so anything that looks
insurmountable it's not anything that looks like we can't get through it it's
not God's God's Word says he takes the impossible buildings and makes them
possible in our lives praise God so if you're there this
morning I just want to encourage you trust God whatever you're facing trust
him trust his word follow his word speak his word over your life I thank God
everywhere I've been in my life I've been places I never thought I would
possibly be doing things I never thought I would ever do and I just want to
encourage you this morning you have a purpose in a plan
and sometimes just like Joseph Mary it doesn't seem like God's ly what God's
thinking to do it doesn't seem like it's something that is even wisdom or
sometimes it seems like it's it's just out-of-the-box crazy but if you know and
you've had confirmation and you know God's told you do it man you got to step
out you got to step out and do it I know we serve I serve pastors that they are
pastors of faith faith and they walk in faith every single day and they face
things that I'm looking at a whoa and I'm rising to those levels of faith but
I think God I got a leader that has been walking with God and faith and shows
faith into my life so that I can go out there like Romans 10:17 I've heard it
and I've heard it and praise God I can go out and be a conferee men crazy I
won't we pray real quick father God we just thank you Lord for this morning we
thank you Father for this service for new creation Church a church of faith a
church of trusting in your word your holy written word father God the word of
power in our lives father God that we can walk out these doors and fulfill the
plan of God you have on every one of our lives
father God everyone in this room has a purpose and a plan that you've had for
the lodge and I here by chance and I here just because of by accident Lord
it's a it's an amazing purpose an amazing calling the other one of them
the past father God so I think you look for their lives and for the callings on
their lives lord I thank you Lord that as they step out and faith with you
probably they won't look at the circumstances they won't look at what
they see but they'll walk in what they know by your word of by your word father
God I thank you Lord for every single one in this room
