What Makes Us Like Or Dislike Something | How To Master The Mind | Part 3 - Duration: 11:50.

What is the cause of attachment. Why do we get attached somewhere?

Everybody has got different attachments somebody is so attached to the carrier

he doesn't care for the family, somebody is so attached to the wife he doesn't

care for the carrier, somebody is so attached to money they have bride

burning in India, so much of attachment to money, somebody says "sab bhad mai jaey botal lao"

he is attached to his alcohol. So what is causing attachment?

What is the cause of desire?

Everybody has got different desires sitting listening to the lecture

somebody's mind goes to jalebi somebody's mind goes to chai somebody's

mind goes to the child or the parents in India

everybody's desires are different. What is creating desires within us. Somebody's

desiring money money money somebody's desiring prestige prestige

prestige. What is happening in this inner world that is leading to the creation of

different kinds of desires? again the Geeta, "quoting from Bhagwad Gita"

2.64 Cause of desire is attachment. When the mind is attached to

some object or to some person the attachment of the mind causes desire not

the intrinsic object as such. You see like you may say that you know something

has got a wonderful taste hence it creates desire of course not

Tell me does alcohol have a good taste chi chi Swamiji it causes vomiting to me

but you ask the same question to an alcoholic, who says bad taste

when I go by the pub and I get the whiff of it I start swaying from side to

side. So you say I'll give you a better tasting thing

forget about alcohol I'll give you milk with kesar pista and badam and saffron on

it. I don't want that I want alcohol see he doesn't want just taste he wants that

to which his mind has got attached. Now your mind is attached to your child you

place your child in the lap, you smell the child the child's nose may be flowing

may have done excreta it doesn't matter to you

supposing I say place your nose on your neighbors body for 20 minutes. Swamiji in

the summers he's sweating how can I do that he's foul-smelling. Really your

neighbor is smelling and your child is not smelling? Yea the child should be

smelling I don't know why he's not smelling. Your mind is attached the

attachment has created the desire to hold the child to hear the child to see

the child it is not the intrinsic qualities your child may be beautiful or

ugly that doesn't matter. One mother her child got lost in the

fair, she had gone to you know Anand Bazar Mela and the child got lost. So she

went to the policeman my child has got lost the policeman said mother five

lost-and-found children have been brought see which of them is yours. My

child is not here. Mother how does your child look like? my

child he walks with a limp and his hand is contorted and because of a paralytic

attack his face is twisted and he doesn't have one eye there a pock marks

on his face. CheeChee mother what kind of child are you

desiring? You have seen such beautiful children just pick anyone and feel your

maternal affection. The mother says Mr. policeman are you crazy, I don't want any

of them, I don't want any beautiful child I want my child to whom I am attached

you will never understand a mother's heart. See the mother wants her child to

whom she has got attached so what is creating the desires it's not the

intrinsic qualities of some object it is the attachment of our mind that is what

Lord Krishna stated "quoting from Bhagawd Gita" number one comes attachment , your

mind is attached number two comes desire

number three the fulfillment of desire leads to greed and number four it's

obstruction leads to anger straightforward logic. Now if we are

attached we cannot avoid desire, impossible and if we are not attached

we will not experience desire and everything else will get dismantled

So then desires seems to be caused by attachment. Attachment is the cause of it

all

but what is the cause of attachment? Why do we get attached somewhere? everybody

has got different attachments. Somebody is so attached to the carrier he doesn't

care for the family somebody is so attached to the wife he doesn't care for

the carrier, somebody is so attached to money they have bride burning in India

so much of attachment to money somebody says "sab bhad mai jai botal lap"

he's attached to his alcohol, so what is causing attachment? Okay this is the

important one, it is our own contemplation that causes attachment! See

here is how Shri Krishna begins the link "quoting Bhagawad Gita"

Arjun when you repeatedly contemplate happiness somewhere when you

repeatedly think this will give me happiness

this has got pleasure this will satisfy me, your own repetition of thought

creates the attachment. It doesn't come from the outside

somebody repeatedly contemplated happiness in cigarettes

How did one get attached to cigarettes where you born a cigarette smoker from

the mother's stomach get me the Marlboros otherwise I will

not be happy No then when that boy or girl went to

college and she got some newfound freedom then he saw his friends dangling

cigarettes between the two fingers he said their personality looks very

impressive. His intellect said you know there is happiness in cigarettes so he

tried one and it was a foul experience, he started coughing his eyes became red

his friends instigated no no it'll give you happiness it is giving us happiness

so he kept on contemplating yes there is happiness there is happiness so he

started taking one hiding from the parents sitting in the restroom, under

the staircase and then it increased to two everyday then thr ee everyday and ten

everyday and then it became a link one has got extinguished the second one is

required that has got extinguished the third one is required now a link has got

created. The same cigarette that he first tried out let us see what is there in

this now the cigarette comes into his mind and pinches him, smoke me I will not

let you live in peace. How did this attachment come about by repeatedly

thinking there is happiness there!

What is NASAMS (National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System) and why India To Buy It - Duration: 2:54.

The National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) is a medium-range, network-centric

air defence system designed and developed jointly by Raytheon and Kongsberg Defence

& Aerospace, primarily for the Royal Norwegian Air Force.

The system can be deployed to identify, engage and destroy aircraft, helicopters, cruise

missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as well as protect high-value assets and mass

population centres against air-to-surface threats.

The missile system is in service with the Royal Norwegian Air Force, the Dutch Army,

the Spanish Army and the US National Capital Region, Finland and an undisclosed nation.

Raytheon and Kongsberg entered into a ten-year agreement in June 2015 to expand their partnership

on NASAMS until 2025.

NASAMS 2, an upgraded version of the NASAMS, uses new radars and 12 missile launchers for

quicker identification and destruction of the targets.

The upgraded system has been in service since 2007 and ordered by a number of countries,

including Norway, Finland and the Netherlands.

The NASAMS air defence system features network centric, open architecture that provides increased

survivability against electronic countermeasures.

The missile system can engage 72 targets simultaneously in active and passive modes.

The primary weapon of the system is AIM-120 AMRAAM.

Raytheon MPQ-64F1 Sentinel high-resolution, 3D pencil beam surveillance radar is fitted

to the NASAMS to detect and track the targets.

The missile system is also fitted with AMRAAM launchers and a passive electro-optic (EO)

and infra-red (IR) sensor, hard-real-time communication network and an embedded and

stand alone mission planning tool.

The Spanish Army successfully conducted a live-fire exercise of the NASAMS with four

AMRAAMs in November 2008.

A tactical live-fire exercise of NASAMS was conducted by the Royal Norwegian Air Force

in June 2011.

The air defence system successfully test fired AIM-9X Sidewinder short-range air-to-air missile

in 2011.

The Royal Norwegian Air Force conducted a test firing of ground-based Evolved Sea Sparrow

Missile (ESSM) from the NASAMS in July 2012.

The NASAMS is equipped with three multi-mission launchers, each carrying up to six ready-to-fire

missiles inside the protective canisters.

It can be carried on truck and rail.

The system features a 360 degree defence capability and is suitable for day and night, all-weather

operations.

What is your FORGOTTEN dream? ★ #TheDay1Journey Ep. 3 ★ - Duration: 6:21.

we are live welcome to the day one journey yes yes the day one journey it

is the journey that never ends what why does it never end

simple because tomorrow it will be the day one journey episode 4 today's

episode 3 tomorrow's episode 4 but it's still the day one journey you

see every day I will be with you five minutes reminding you that you have the

chance to look at this day yeah look at this lovely day you see you can look at

this day or any other day as a fresh start

new beginning what we here like to call that day one think about day one is as

the first time you are doing something okay the first time

always has a different smell to it think about the first time your your first

kiss your first going to the movies your first going abroad

with the family the first time being at the sea this is the first time this is

what is all it is all about the day one journey looking at every day as a first

start so I'll be here reminding you of that every day less than five minutes

so let's jump on this episode I have a question for you

to be honest I thought to ask you about to ask you if you have a dream but that's

not really what I want to ask you I have a little bit different question for

you

did you once have a dream that you totally forgot about maybe something

that you didn't tell anyone and maybe even didn't tell yourself recently think

about that stop and think about that while enjoying the view yeah this is the

this can be pretty deep and if you don't have anything in mind like a

specific dream you can try to think about a subject a subject that once

really really fascinated you and you totally forgot about it I hope you have

something in mind so we are going a little bit nostalgic why so I have

another question for you why didn't you why didn't you tell anyone about that

why didn't you tell yourself something about that why didn't you remind

yourself about that recently about the dream or that subject that once really

fascinated you but now you just put it in a back drawer and

forgot about that

why maybe that was because people what people think what people say to you

about that maybe you were afraid that people would laugh at your at your

dreams

maybe even you were afraid that you will laugh at yourself about your dreams

it may seem ridiculous but we all have this self negative talk when we say to ourselves

you can't do that and even laughing like you thought that you can

do that you're serious so what I want to tell you if that ever crossed your mind

I have something very powerful to share with you something I read quite recently

and I was very excited about that it goes like this if no one get this if no

one laughs about your dreams they are simply not big enough let it sink I'll

say it again if no one if no one laughs about your dreams they are simply not

big enough I don't know about you but that gets me very very very excited

extremely excited we are soon out of time we said five minutes so I'll just

tell you why I'm telling you all this so we can meet tomorrow and continue our

conversation I'm telling you this for the simple reason I want to set an

example here in future episodes I want to tell you about my ridiculous

laughable dreams and not not only do I expect you to laugh about them I want

you to laugh about them because that means to me that they are big enough big

enough for me is exciting enough get me the motivation the drive to do something

about that every day and I want to set an example for all of you and mostly I

hope you're watching my children so back to you

think again about your lost dream forgotten dream the secret dream the one

nobody knows about but you what can you do today five minutes only five minutes

and make this day as if the first day you thought about that

the day one for that specific dream what can you do today five minutes only five

minutes see you tomorrow

Why Diets Wreck Metabolism And What To Do About It - Duration: 1:02.

One of the issues with yo-yo dieting is that, we lose a lot of muscle in those diets because

they are very drastic. What happens is our body kind of shuts down a little bit, so our

metabolism slows down and we are losing more muscle, when you lose more muscle it becomes

even more difficult for you to burn calories because muscle burns way more calories. You

may be happy that your weight is going down, but remember weight is not showing what the

body composition is.

So you may be losing more muscle, which is what we don't want to lose because it is a

healthy tissue.

It's a tissue that we need for our normal functioning of the body.

So practical advice that I would give anyone is really to maintain physically active, maintain

your levels of physical activity for your age, resistance training exercise if very

important for building muscle mass, and also eating diet that have the muscle building

nutrients.

Tour de France 2018 - Stage 20: What happened with the time of Froome? [English Subtitles] - Duration: 2:04.

This was shameful for ASO. Nobody knew what was happening, first red, then green.

In the images you can see that the time stopped a couple of meters before Froome reached the finish line.

Is that where the error came from? I don't know. But they should be sure about what they are showing.

Jose De Cauwer also doesn't know the real reason. There are 3 stakeholders in this story:

France television who is covering the broadcast.

On the technical side of the story we have Dimension Data and Tissot. Let's find out where it went wrong.

France television, there is no one here who can give us an explanation.

Dimension Data also didn't know anything, maybe Tissot (time registration) knows what happened.

There was a police... Like this I can't talk. There was a police man who covered the registration eye.

So know we start to see what happened. There was a police man who passed the finish line when Froome was approaching.

Something like this, but here close to the "eye" that has to register the time.

The police man walks here. There is Froome. The time stops. Here is the confirmation of ASO.

There is a police man passing the finish line when Froome was approaching. Afterwards we corrected it.

So the police man just had a bad timing? - Exactly, because he didn't win the stage.

What is Low Stomach Acid? How to | "Doc Talks" with Dr. Daniel Nuzum - Duration: 4:46.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Do you have stomach acid problems? Do you take antacids after a meal?

Do you want to learn more about it? Stay tuned to find out.

Jonathan Hunsaker here with Organixx. Thanks for tuning in. Listen, so many of us have

issues after a meal with our stomachs, whether it's acid reflux, or indigestion, or gas,

or bloating, and it turns out a lot of this has to do with low stomach acid. Let's go

talk to Doc Nuzum to find out more right now.

Dr. Daniel Nuzum: Stomach acid is hydrochloric acid. And hydrochloric acid has a pH of zero.

It's the marker. Zero pH is hydrochloric acid. If you go up, sulfuric acid is 1.8 pH.

Distilled water has a 7 pH. Hydrochloric acid is pure acid.

So, the resting pH of your stomach should be 4. When you consume food, your stomach

has to reach a 2-3 on the pH scale before it can empty. So, the contents of your stomach

after you eat, in order for that to empty into the small intestine, the pH has to drop

down to between 2 and 3 on the pH scale.

Think of this. If you eat something that has a very high pH, like bread, think how much

acid your stomach has to produce to bring that 8 ½-9 pH down to a 2-3 on the pH scale.

That's a huge drop in pH. If that takes more than 2 hours to happen, the food in your

stomach starts to go bad.

Remember, your stomach's 98.6 degrees. So, if you consume that chicken at 8,2 pH, and

it takes 4 hours for your stomach pH to reach a 2-3 before it can empty, the chicken went

bad before your stomach could empty.

How can you tell whether you have a low stomach acid production? If you have reflux, or you

have indigestion, or you have bloating when you eat, those are all low stomach acid production

conditions.

In the reflux model, when someone eats, if their stomach acid production is too slow,

the food in their stomach doesn't break down fast enough and it starts to putrefy.

Putrification always produces gas, and that gas puts pressure on the valve at the top

of the stomach, and that valve starts to open up to release that gas. Well, when it does,

it has all these vapors and acidic and alkaline vapors that come off of the stomach then,

and they burn the esophagus and you end up with what's called esophagitis.

When someone has indigestion, or they have bloating, the acid production was so slow

that the food actually started to putrefy in the stomach. The pH finally hits low enough,

between 2-3 on the pH scale, the food empties into the small intestine, but it has gone

bad. That causes an inflammatory response in the gut and you swell up.

When the gut is healthy, it should be all knit together nice and tight like this. See?

My fingers are knit together nice and tight. Only small particles are going to come through

this tight-knit mesh.

When the gut wall gets inflamed, it swells up. When it swells up, all those fibers start

to separate, the membrane stretches out and becomes hyperpermeable. We call that leaky

gut. Chemicals in our food, and the antibiotics, and the preservatives, and all those types

of things that we consume, outside of that, this process of the food putrefying in our

stomach before it empties into the small intestine, because of low stomach acid production or

slow stomach acid production, is another contributing factor to virtually all inflammatory conditions

that human beings suffer from.

If you want to know what to do about low stomach acid, check out my next video.

Jonathan Hunsaker: Thanks, Doc. I love learning from Doc Nuzum, and I hope that you do, too.

What The Hell Am I Going To Read?! | 2018 BookTubeAThon TBR - Duration: 9:19.

KAT: Is this the best lighting? No. Do I have a cat on my lap? Yes!

Are we gonna record anyway? Yes.

Hello Internet. *Kona purrs in background*

So this is KatOfDiamonds that you see here on this channel called #FannishReviews.

Have you seen anything from me since December and Project for Awesome? No!

Am I back for BookTubeAThon? Yes!

I don't believe I've missed a BookTubeAThon on this channel so *clicks teeth* here I am!

So we're just gonna hop in to the challenges. I have too many books.

I have reasons and with the challenges you'll see why!

I wrote them all on "Posty" notes.

"Let a coin toss decide your first read"..

I have a Canadian dollar. I have a queen on the front and a loon--

--Is this a Loony? Is that what they call Loonies?

The coin decides my first read but I am also going to decide which read it is.

So I have "The Heir and the Spare" out of my TBR at home and "Miss Mayhem" which is

Book 2 (the first book is "Rebel Belle").

They are both under 300 pages which is why I chose them.

The Loon will be "Miss Mayhem" because this is a Southern thing even though Loons are Canadian...

and then The Queen will be "The Heir and the Spare." *sounds of coin flipping*

Heads! So "The Heir and the Spare" it is! That is gonna be my first read!

"Miss Mayhem" is going back in the TBR pile.

The 2nd challenge is "read a book about something you want to do."

Well, all of the books in my TBR are either non-fiction or fantasy-fiction and so there

wasn't really anything was "real" and what I want to "do." I just didn't really--yeah.

I am in my 30s; I don't need to "do" a contemporary teen romance.

So I went to the library and looked at "200 Skills Every Fashion Designer Must Have" because

as my cosplay sewing skills improve I am considering starting to make my own Geek Fashion!

But then I also saw how intense of read it's actually going to be so I am definitely going

to keep it but I also got so many other things from the library! (Which will make sense later.)

I also got "Unfuck Your Habitat:You're Better than Your Mess" by Rachel Hoffman because

I'm moving next month. No!--in September. It's almost "next month."

But in September, I'm moving and I'm going to have to declutter a lot and get rid of

a lot of things so I figured a book to inspire me would be good for "something that I want to do."

So this is why I went to the library..

We're supposed to do a book to movie adaptation and I didn't have any of those in my pile

that I haven't read and I have read books that have turned into movies and I own movies

that are adapted from books.

I really wanted one that I haven't read so I tried to get (Persepolis) based on the graphic novel..

Which I got the movie but I am still 3rd in--no!

I am 1st in line for the actual graphic novel so I might do this if the library gets it to me in time.

But then I also got "A Wrinkle in Time" because didn't read the book as a kid or I don't remember any of it.

I'm 3rd in line for the graphic novel of "A Wrinkle in Time" because there was less of

a line than for the book and then I could just get "A Wrinkle in Time" the movie online

because it is already available.

That being said, if I don't get either of those books, I got "The Silver Linings Playbook"

and "Simon vs The Homo Sapiens" audiobooks from the library (which this is the screen cap)

because I own "Silver Linings Playbook" and I can probably go see "Love, Simon" in

a dollar theater or access it somehow. I have a lot of options so I don't know which one I am going to do.

I'm going to try to save it for the later half of the week just to see what ends up at the library!

"Read a book with green on the cover" is the 4th challenge which I pulled "Since You've

Been Gone" by Morgan Matson from my TBR pile over there. It is rather hugemongous!

And since it's such a long book of over 400 pages I also got an audiobook version at the

library because I have so much cosplay that I need to do.

If I can do two audiobooks during this challenge that will help me do the challenge and I can

listen to the books while I work on cosplay and not sacrifice time in that way because

OMG I have basically a month to get 4 costumes done for DragonCon.

So you know, should I be doing this TBR? Probably not!

Challenge 5 is "read a book while wearing the same hat the whole time."

Again, I didn't have any graphic novels in my TBR pile and the graphic novel that I'm

buying next doesn't get published until the 15th of August; so that doesn't help me.

I went to my Goodreads TBR and picked "Nimona" and got it from the library.

It is a very common --from a few years ago-- graphic novel that go Tumblr famous. I believe.

Or it was a Tumblr-famous artist that...I don't know. Something with Tumblr.

But this has been on my TBR on Goodreads for a really long time so I figured this is a

good chance and challenge to get it read. Oh! And I was going to have a hat!

KAT V/O: Maybe I'll find a picture of the hat I'll wear but I think because of the nerd-references

of Tumblr, I am going to wear my ewok hat.

KAT: Book 6 was "read a book with a beautiful spine" and I considered deeply to pull "Obsidion"

from my TBR because the Illuminae Files books are so beautiful.

The hardcovers are translucent so the spine shows through.

Like they are just a piece of art and a production! But again, it is huge and so I have 2 options.

This is a beautiful spine but I am going to save it for absolute last; if I get to it, I get to it.

I do have an opportunity to swap it out for "Odyssey Volume 1" from the library.

It's got a beautiful cover and a reason I chose it was because the typography on the spine.

The "ODY-C" cover is symbolically translated. "Odd"-"Dee"-"Cee" "Oddyssey"

... I don't know why I had to explain that to you; I'm sorry.

But it also continues this typography on the spine and I am a sucker for good typography.

This is my most likely beautiful spine and this is my

"oh god oh god do I actually have time for this probably not" spine.

And then "read 7 books."

Originally I had pulled "The Encyclopedia of Early Earth" which is the only (unread)

graphic novel I do have and the reason I didn't chose this for a different challenge is because

I don't know if I want to speed through this because of it's concept.

Also, I got "Well That Escalated Quickly" by Franchesca Ramsey

from the library while I was on my library kick. There's still 5 things for

because when I put things on hold at the library, I can never do just one thing.

KAT V/O: LOL this is a voice over because I said that this book on MagicCatJenny's TBR

because she's my reading buddy for BookTubeAThon but it's actually on Kathy's so she can be

my reading buddy, too? Whatdayasay, Kathy? Ok, back to the regular video.

KAT: I don't remember what they chose this for. But it was on their list and I'll link them below!

With that in mind (that I have 3 alternatives to this TBR), this most likely what I'm going

to be reading during BookTubeAThon. There ya go!

That's a 7 book pile with a movie in place of the book that doesn't exist in physical form!

Cool! It's been a really long time since I made a video on this channel so we're gonna end it here.

Do the "Like" and the "Subscribe" and the call to action stuff... Do people still do that?

I don't know. I've not been a very good YouTuber this year.

Yikes!/Oops!/DFTBA! And happy reading!

*blows kiss*

What is Plastic Love ? - Duration: 10:01.

what is plastic love why is it over here every time I listen to music on YouTube

and how did this old Japanese single become so damn popular well I plan to

answer all this and more today so join me mr. Stevem on my wild ride through

the era of City pop

so City Pop was this big sub-genre in the late 70s and 80s it was a type of

music that was reflective of the new shiny modern Japan, Japan was seeing this

unprecedented boom in its economy Phoenix metaphorinng them into a world superpower

boosted even further by the Americans who were helping to fund their defenses

against the red threat ...communism now considering Japan didn't nor could they

have a military some of this money was funneled into technology cassettes

Walkmans, VHS's, cars, TVs, video game consoles, the list goes on Japan had

created a machine empire on the ashes of its past the cosmopolitan lifestyle was

in full swing influencing the topics and sounds of city pop it was the music of

the city after all it took bits and pieces from New Wave, synth pop, disco

jazz and whatever else was relevant at the time shoving them into a blender to

make what could be some of the sharpest pop music to come out of the Land of the

Rising Sun for more information check out van palgams video on the history of

city pop, so we have excessive living urban life a seasoning of American

influences and Engrish lyrics where does plastic love come in enter

Mariya Takeuchi it's 1978 a young musician on the way to become a pop idol

a couple years later she had a number one album and a single on the top 10 so

you'd think she'd ride this wave all the way to that legendary single but not

quite Mariya decided to take a break from music stating that her schedule had

became too excessive as she was living that classic pop idol lifestyle she

wouldn't return to three years where we'd find out you can't write that many

love songs without having a little bit of your own, she'd married her collaborator

the city pop King tetsuo yamashita once more she was also

pregnant thus unable to do the promotion for her newest album, variety was

released in 1984 and as the title suggests it was an assortment of songs

from a collection of different styles this time her husband was on production

and she was writing every song on the album the album starts off with once

again which is a blue soul style number which is a bit more distant and smokey

but as soon as that mist dissipates what we have in the distance

shimmering hypnotic groove striking you of its beat and never letting go of his

danceable grooves nostalgic feelings and catchy melody an instant joy from start

to finish you've got that quiet descending piano

before the beat reignites the somber vocals cutting through that warm

instrumentation and dancing melody you don't have to understand every word but

you can feel them and people don't read the lyrics but they should not only is

it a meditation on heartbreak it really speaks to the hollow plastic feeling of

what people do to fill in the sorrows of their life and loneliness we use this

plastic love to fill in our loneliness and insecurities buying commercial goods

in the hopes that they will make us feel more and avoid dealing with our own

personal anguish really deconstructing that party lifestyle and the problems

that come with it in a way that's even more relevant to today's generation

the

album variety skyrocketed to number one and like the YouTube version it saw an

unprecedented rise more so than anything in her career before this point

plastic love has a 14 million views on YouTube and as I must built a community around

it in fact all my friends I'll call him average Joe who has no interest in music

has heard the song and knows that plastic love is an absolute Jam YouTube

seems to be cultivating this record store in the digital space affecting how

people define their taste in the modern era mass producing the feeling of

finding these obscure gems on your own in a way that feels natural doing it so

well with the puppet strings that you don't even see them it's became such a

epidemic that noisey wrote an article about how plastic love was the best pop

song of all time now is plastic love the best pop song of all time?

I don't know if I could call it that it's pretty good

but uh it's No ah no sportsmen if you

know what I'm talking about but here so comes the other side of the argument

which happens anytime something like this becomes popular in a music space

the idea that it's overrated or not special anymore or not worth the

description of the best because people should be listening to X Y and Z now if

this song is introducing people to genres they'd never heard of and other

artists with the music bringing that deep joy to them

then what's the harm the music world exists beyond your playlist takeuchi is

one of the most celebrated popular musicians in a homeland she was

considered one the three daughters of RCA and since 1984 every one of her main

albums have went number one on the charts

she sold over 15 million albums as a result and it's even worth mentioning

that plastic love wasn't even at a hit at the time it charted at about 86 most

likely because of its a so-so cover which has been replaced for the YouTube

version with the cover of sweet music much better much better decision and

it's an amazing through the power of the internet and memes that a not so

successful single from the past with an artist that was mainly big in her home

country has cultivated 14 million views on YouTube and all it took was that

captivating smile some remixes and YouTube to stop finally deleting it so

that brings me to the next topic the power of music memes as promotion now

the original definition of memes from Richard Dawkins book The Selfish Gene is

that they are like jeans but for ideas they multiply through mimicking carrying

information while spreading and new tating the same way that jeans do and

the Internet age does idea is taking a new form we have these musical genres

that could be considered memes like future funk nightcore and vaporwave that

took concepts from city pop and samples especially from plastic love and turn

them into new content and riding them to self-destruction as plastic love became

a prominent sample in this community a gaved a cult-like following which

erupted a couple years back when it was posted on reddit and got to the top of

the hour listen to this subreddit before being deleted causing some sort of

Streisand effect where more and more versions of the song were posted to try

and fill the new demand that it was seeing now why did this happen to

classic love well I don't know when I like to argue that considering plastic

love does sample jungle boogie there may be in some meme energy in the blood of

it which has sewed a bit of a seed and it just took a lot longer than we

expected for them to blossom now one of the counter arguments against see pop

and its subsidiary genres is that it's more of an AESTHETIC than it is a genre and

that people are interested more on the look

the trend than they are actually the music and I completely disagree an

artist is not just in music the persona and visual character plays a huge role

in how you're introduced to that music and how is promoted I don't want to go

back to the world of brown sleeves and even if the visuals did entice people

there to begin with it's the content that keeps them around and keeps them

listening or you would have moved on to something else the newest trend the

newest aesthetic that's the most on point

the Internet has globalised music so those that didn't hit the shores of the

West now have the ability to become popular hits all over again we're even

seeing modern music like kpop become number ones in America which was unheard

of a decade before memes could well be the future of how we grow and promote

music some artists have even used memes and internet subculture to promote

themselves to massive success not to mention I'm sure a meme or two has made

a single even bigger than it once was the city pop genre is seeing a revival

in this current era not only in Japan but places like South Korea where

artists like ubin whose newest release city woman echoes the sounds of city pop

with her videos being a direct homage to that era with Maria's style in

particular how do we know that well one of her singles City love was accused of

being a plagiarism of plastic love and was swiftly removed from the album now

I've only heard a sample but it it does sound quite close but you know what they

do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery so all hail the new age of

City pop with Mariah as the face that does run the place both introducing and

reigniting the genres legacy to a new generation

yo yo yo thanks for watching it's really really hot I'm melting and dying this

recording process was a horror show burner if you want to promote me doing

more terrible things that make me cry uh say hello to my patreon support me if

you like it if you want more videos these people are my wonderful backers

I'm not gonna pretend to pronounce their names Krait I'm gonna probably have to

ask them how to do that it's a good thing to do and I love them for

it so if you like city pop tell me about your favorite city pop paintings and

like the video or something did do nice things for me please go back

BREAKING OBAMA BUSTED!!! Look What He Did! - Duration: 11:35.

BREAKING OBAMA BUSTED!!!

Look What He Did!

Our nation's brave men and women that serve in the police force have lived through some

devastating, traumatic, and deadly attacks the last few years.

It seems that these brave men and women are being targeted more than ever before, both

physically and through the use of slander and defamation.

However, Donald Trump promised something on Monday…a promise so big and so bold that

Barack Obama never would have been able to make it.

During an event held at the National Peace Officer's Memorial Service, President Trump

encouraged the nation's law enforcement by making a strong promise to protect them

from these attacks moving forward.

According to The Hill:

"Our police have been subject to unfair defamation and vilification and — really,

you see what's going on — even worse, hostility and violence," Trump said.

"You are entitled to leadership at the highest level that will draw a bright line in the

sand, not a red line in the sand that isn't gone over, but a bright line in the sand,

and we will protect you."

The president called it a "personal priority" to help foster respect for law enforcement

in America, criticizing those who use the "reckless words of incitement that give

rise to danger and give rise to incitement" and arguing that some people might not believe

it's politically correct to stand with the police.

That's similar to the language that he used during his presidential campaign, when he

lamented a "war on police" and defended officers against accusations of police misconduct

in high-profile officer-involved shootings.

"True social justice means a future where every child in every neighborhood can play

outside without fear, can walk home safely from school and live out the beautiful dreams

that build their heart," Trump said, a clear callout to conservatives who chide "social

justice warriors" that have questioned police conduct in controversial incidents.

Framing an attack on officers as a "wound inflicted on the whole country," Trump praised

the sacrifices made by police officers around the country.

He called out to 6-year-old Micah Glasser, whose father, David, died last year in the

line of duty as a Phoenix police officer.

Removing a white "USA" hat from the podium, Trump called out to Micah and threw him the

hat.

"He has my hat and he's now with us," Trump said as he asked Micah and his mother,

Kristen, to stand up to be recognized.

Trump mentioned the support he received from police unions during the presidential race.

The Fraternal Order of Police endorsed Trump in 2016, while criticizing Democrat Hillary

Clinton for not seeking its endorsement.

"You'll always find an open door at the White House, and you've already found it,

believe me," he said after highlighting FOP leadership.

"I will always support the incredible men and women of law enforcement as much as you

have always supported me, and you did, big league," he added.

Trump's encouraging speech was delivered on Monday – a day that he had earlier decided

to name, "Peace Officer Memorial Day."

He commemorated his promise by ensuring that the White House would be lit by blue lights

in support of police men and women.

He also asked for flags to be flown at half-mast in response to the event.

In addition, the speech was delivered just in time for Trump's "Police Week" – an

entire seven days he dedicated to our nation's brave men and women who serve in law enforcement.

In dark times such as these, Trump's speech and motions thereafter seem to provide hope,

comfort, and future safety

for

the nation's police force.

What is Avril Lavigne doing now? More on her boyfriend! - Duration: 3:41.

Avril Lavigne burst into the pop scene winning millions of hearts with her powerful voice

and catchy hooks in the early 2000s.

It didn't take much time for the Canadian sensation to cement her place as the pop-punk

queen right after she released her debut single, Complicated, in May 2002, which was followed

by her hit debut album, Let Go, in June.

She went on to release five studio albums, 8 EPs, 23 singles and 25 music videos.

She has sold over 40 million albums and over 50 million singles worldwide, which makes

her the third best selling Canadian female artist of all time, after Celine Dion and

Shania Twain.

Without a doubt, her contribution to pop-punk music has been vital.

But, the constant hitmaker staying out of the radar in recent years has led her fans

to a frenzy.

So, what is she doing now?

We will find out in this video of eCelebrityFacts.

But, before we begin, take some time to subscribe to our channel and hit the bell icon.

Avril hasn't made headlines due to her recent music, but she has attracted some really weird

PR, thanks to a bizarre conspiracy theory.

A rumor that originated in 2011 on a Brazilian fan page called Avril Este Morta claimed the

singer committed suicide and was replaced by a lookalike actress named Melissa Vandella.

Rumors resurfaced in May 2017, alleging that the changes in her image, her height and darker

song lyrics supports the conspiracies.

In 2014, the hitmaker tumbled down the charts after releasing the single, Hello Kitty, as

it prompted a PR disaster and she was also accused of racism and the singer not taking

the backlashes seriously fueled the rumors even more.

While dealing with various setbacks in her career, she also grappled with a health crises.

In 2014, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, and she took time off the spotlight for recovery.

Later in 2015, in an interview with Billboard, she disclosed her plans on releasing a single

named, Fly, and a Christmas album but that never happened.

On the 25th of December 2016, she took it to Instagram to announce that she was working

on new music.

She was seen in a featured song, Listen, by the Japanese rock band, One Ok Rock, in their

album, Ambitions, released on January 11, 2017.

That same year in November, she signed with BGM and released a single, Baby It's Cold

Outside, with Jonny Blu.

As of now, she is all set to release her album sometime this year and is also ready to return

to the stage.

With a string of high-profile relationships, including her failed marriages with Deryck

Whibley and Chad Kroeger and long romances with Ryan Cabrera and Brody Jenner, Lavigne

continued to become a fixture in the tabloids.

Now, it seems like she is giving love another chance as she is currently dating Phillip

Sarofim, the son of Egyptian-American billionaire investor, Fayez Sarofim.

They reportedly first met through their mutual friends and have been seeing each other for

quite some time now.

The duo was spotted together for the first time in March 2018 in Los Angeles, while they

were out on a dinner date.

Are you excited for Avril's return to music?

Let us know in the comments below.

DiGenova on Possible Rosenstein Impeachment: 'He's Getting What He Deserves' - Duration: 3:43.

and you know if you did have your past job I don't think I would be under oath

but more importantly let's go to rod Rosen Stein this is a guy he signed the

fourth warrant which was the bulk of information was that phony Russian

dossier paid for by Clinton they didn't tell the FISA Court judges they didn't

verify the information they didn't follow the law they didn't follow up bi

protocol and Roger Rosen Stein signed the last one the third renewal the

fourth all together your reaction well there's no doubt that rod Rosenstein

deserves everything that he's getting whether or not impeachment is the right

way to go doesn't even matter anymore Rosen Stein remembered didn't even read

the final application he had people explain to him what was in it Rosen

Stein is the one responsible for the crisis that the president has faced in

the Muller probe without Rosenstein there is no Muller probe he did it

purposely to avoid having to make difficult decisions in a political

investigation he should be ashamed of himself he's getting precisely what he

deserves but what's more important than that Shawn is that you are watching a

President of the United States who is astride the globe and he is being

assisted Abele by a Secretary of State in full we no longer have a namby-pamby

foreign policy we have a Secretary of State who today performed beyond any

expectations any Americans could expect of a Secretary of State I was amazed at

pompey's performance and I can tell you say the president is really pleased

especially because of the outrageous performance of the Director of National

Intelligence dan coates in Aspen when he kissed the feet of Andrea Mitchell and

criticized the President of the United States shame on dan coats

I watched Pompeo today and I literally felt fabulous no fabula geez finally

strength and he laid out all the things that the president nBC though I think

reported at an agent of Russia is doing to Russia

but the irony to here is look we cannot ignore I gotta get you take on this FISA

listen if I like to a FISA judge or I lied to any judge you couldn't get me

out of jail as great an attorney as you are if I did this is this this is this

case is over what Sean this case is over the FBI under Obama and the Department

of Justice under obama with john carlin the assistant attorney general for

national purity lied to the FISA Court hid material information from the FISA

Court it is an outrageous abuse of power and if Jeff Sessions and Rod Rosenstein

have not begun a grand jury to investigate all the people involved in

the phony dossier and everything involved on it ultimately when Muller is

done Rosenstein and session should be fired this is a clear case of criminal

law violation in the FISA application it was clearly a fraud committed on the

FISA Court and it is beyond belief that nothing publicly known has been done to

hold accountable everybody involved in the signing of those applications in the

FISA Court

Details emerge about what happened before and after Demi Lovato's apparent overdose - Duration: 3:05.

Last Updated Jul 26, 2018 11:17 AM EDT  New details are emerging about what happened before singer  Demi Lovato's apparent overdose on Tuesday

A source told Entertainment Tonight Lovato was not partying alone before she was found unresponsive in her Los Angeles home and her family and friends had feared she was hanging out with people who were encouraging her drug habit

The source also said Lovato was dating someone her family wanted her to stay away from, reports "Entertainment Tonight" co-host Kevin Frazier

A source said Lovato's family is now focused on providing a clean, safe place for the singer to heal

Lovato's friends reportedly used the medication Naloxone, sometimes referred to as Narcan, which can reverse the effects of opioid overdoses to treat the 25-year-old after she was found unresponsive at her home Tuesday morning

"I think it was very wise for her friends, or family, or whoever it was to have Narcan on hand

They probably saved her life," addiction psychiatrist Dr. Laurence Westreich said

RELATED: Demi Lovato was in "downward spiral" before apparent overdose, sources say  Just two days earlier at a concert in California, Lovato had trouble remembering the lyrics to her recently released emotional ballad "Sober" and walked off stage

In "Sober", Lovato admitted she relapsed after six years of sobriety

She's been in rehab twice before, the first time at age 18. Still, her overdose took fans and fellow artists, including Meghan Trainor, by surprise

"I didn't know it was that bad," Trainor said.  Lovato's family is going to do everything in their power to help get Lovato back on track and are making plans to get her straight into rehab, a source told Entertainment Tonight

"The important thing is to keep hope alive. To try another modality of treatment, to try another medication, to try a psychotherapy… To try to get better," addiction psychiatrist Dr

Laurence Westreich said.Lovato was open about her addiction as well as her family difficulties and depression when she spoke with "CBS Sunday Morning" back in 2016

"Every time I go through something painful, I kind of just, I look up at the sky and I just go okay, I don't know why you're putting me through this, but there's a reason, help me figure it out," Lovato said

Lovato was scheduled to perform Thursday night in Atlantic City but that concert was cancelled

The addiction specialist we spoke to says it's relatively common for people with a long period of sobriety to relapse, but with proper treatment there's every hope for long term recovery
