Youtube daily what Jun 2 2017

You know who's having a great year?

Medical cannabis will not be legalized in Utah.

A big no on legal weed.

No, really.

You might remember voters in 8 states and the District of Columbia legalized recreational marijuana between

2012 and 2016.

Well, this year, for the very first time, a state almost passed a recreational pot bill

through its state legislature and this not an anomaly.

And that's because public opinion is changing quickly.

Back when

...that girl is poison...

less than 20% of Americans supported legalization.

Now, it's up to 57%.

This isn't just a story of stoners getting their way.

Marijuana is a lucrative business.

In Colorado, for example, pot sales totaled $1.3 billion in 2016 alone.

That meant $200 million in tax revenue,

most of which went to the public school system.

And in the first year of D.C.'s legalization, marijuana related arrests dropped 85% -- saving

the city more than just money.

So of course, other states want to get in on that,

which brings us to Vermont.

Vermont had a bill that would legalize small amounts of pot for adult recreational use.

It passed the house and the senate.

If Gov. Phil Scott had signed the legislation, Vermont would have gone down in history as

the first state to legalize marijuana through the legislative process

instead of at the ballot box.

However, the governor vetoed it, but, not without recognizing a shift in public perception.

I'm not philosophically opposed to ending the prohibition on marijuana.

If the legislature addresses some of his concerns during the summer session, the Green Mountain

State will get quite a bit greener.

And Vermont is not alone.

As of May, 19 states are considering bills to legalize recreational weed.

Some are stalled in committee, others are making their way to a vote.

And granted, four have failed this year.

But the fact that these bills are

is a far cry from when Bill Clinton

didn't inhale.

So really, this is just the beginning.

What is Acute Otitis Media? | ENT | Free Medical Education | Subtitled - Duration: 3:14.

Acute Otitis Media

What is Acute Otitis Media?

'Acute' stands for 'abrupt onset' 'Ot-' stands for 'Ear'

'itis' stands for 'Infection & inflammation'

While 'Media' stands for 'middle ear'

So acute otitis media means 'Inflammation of the middle ear'

What are the stages of 'Acute Otitis Media'?

I. Stage of tubal occlusion: Since the middle ear drainage is entirely

dependent upon Eustachian Tube.

The first step in 'Acute otitis Media' is the blockage of Eustachian Tube.

Children are particularly pre-disposed to 'Acute otitis Media' because their Eustachian

Tube is Shorter, Wider and More horizontal as compared to Adults.

Which increases the chances of their Eustachian Tube getting blocked.

II.

Stage of presuppuration After the Eustachian Tube is blocked, the

micro-organisms start Infecting.

III.

Stage of suppuration This is marked by formation of pus in the

middle ear.

Tympanic membrane starts bulging to the point of rupture.

IV.

Stage of resolution The tympanic membrane rupture, with release

of pus and subsidence of symptoms.Inflammatory process begins to resolve.

If proper treatment is started early or if the infection was mild, resolution may start

even without rupture of tympanic membrane.

V. Stage of complication.

If virulence of organism is high or resistance of patient poor, resolution may not take

place and disease spreads beyond the confines of middle ear.

Treatment 1.

Antibacterial therapy : It is indicated in all cases with fever and severe earache.

2.

Decongestant nasal drops.

nose drops should be used to relieve eustachian tube edema and promote ventilation

of middle ear.

4.

Analgesics and antipyretics.

help to relieve pain and bring down temperature.

5.

Ear toilet.

If there is discharge in the ear, it is dry mopped with sterile cotton buds and a wick

moistened with antibiotic may be inserted.

6.

Dry local heat.

It helps to relieve pain.

7.

Myringotomy.

It is incising the drum to evacuate pus and is indicated when (a) drum is bulging and

there is acute pain, (b) there is an incomplete resolution despite

antibiotics when drum remains full with persistent conductive deafness, (C) there is persistent

effusion beyond 12 weeks.

All cases of acute suppurative otitis media should be

carefully followed till drum membrane returns to its normal

appearance

What do plants need to grow? - Duration: 5:42.

Every living animal needs to eat to make sure they are healthy and stay alive.

So, I have a question for you?

OK…..

Aren't plants living?

Yes

So why don't we feed them popcorn or other food?

Don't they need energy and nutrients to grow too?

Well, yes, but we don't need to feed them popcorn because they can make their own food!

They can!

Yep!

How?

Well, let's get our thinking caps on, and perform an experiment to see what ingredients

plants need to make their own food and grow well.

So what will we need?

You will need seeds or dried beans, soil, cotton balls, or both, 6 mason jars or

see through glass or plastic cups and some water, two lids for your jars, or if you are using

cups plastic wrap and tape.

Begin by putting some soil into 4 of your mason jars.

Next, stuff 2 of your jars with cotton balls.

The goal is to have about the same height of soil and cotton in each jar.

Next, you will get your bean, and gently place it between the jar and the cotton balls or

soil, so that you can see the growth of the bean through the clear container.

It's better to place more than one bean in each jar, just in case one of them is a dud.

Try to place your seed about a thumb's width from the top of the soil.

Now, you will need to water the soil and the cotton balls until they are damp, but not

too wet.

Repeat with each of the jars.

Place a top on two of the containers with soil.

If you are using plastic cups that don't have lids, then you can seal them with plastic

wrap and tape.

We will place half of the jars in the sun, and half of the jars in the closet.

Don't forget to water the plants if the soil or cotton balls become dry.

My question is: will our seeds grow well if they don't have everything:

soil, sun, air and water?

What do you think?

During the music make your prediction.

What do you notice?

This is day 7. What do you notice?

Let's return to our original question:

Do plants need water, soil, sun, air to

grow well?

What did our plants show us:

We watered all of our plants and all of them at least sprouted, so yes, water was important.

Check.

What about soil?

We noticed that the plants in the soil and the cotton all sprouted and began to grow

roots, but after the plants in the soil took off

and grew stems and leaves.

It's one thing to sprout-- because the bean provides energy of itself-

but after than the soil is important and provides the nutrients

that plants need to continue growing well.

Does a plant need soil?

To grow well-- it sure does.

Check

What about sun?

As we can see with the plants in the closet--

they still grew even without any sun.

In fact the plants in the closet, in the soil grew so tall so quickly because they were

searching for the sun--

Except in this case it was in the closet, so there was not light for it to find

but it still kept growing.

So they grow well without the sun?

Well…….wait a second.

Did you notice that they were white and not green?

Yeah, but they still grew.

Yes, but not the best that they can be.

If you look at the plant on the windowsill, which did get sunlight, it didn't grow as

tall, but it's stems and leaves grew green.

So the sun makes plants green?

Yes, in a way.

What happens is light is an important part of photosynthesis-- which is the process plants

use to create sugar, which is their food.

During photosynthesis, chlorophyll in the plants' leaves

captures the sun's rays

and creates sugar (the plant's energy), which then allows the plant to grow.

You know chlorophyll is present when the leaves and stems are green.

So in the closet with the white plant the chlorophyll wasn't working?

Eureka.

You're bright-- like the sun.

So if the plant is white it means that photosynthesis is not working and the plant is not creating

its own food, so it won't survive for very long.

Which means that plants need sun to be healthy.

Check.

What about air?

In the jar with the lid on it, the beans barely sprouted and then did not grow.

So it is clear that they are not healthy.

But why?

Let's see.. all around us is air, and in our air we have carbon dioxide and carbon

dioxide is a key ingredient in photosynthesis.

So, the plants in the open air use the carbon dioxide to carry out photosynthesis.

But the plants in the jars with lids (even in the sun), had no new supply of air, and

therefore not enough carbon dioxide to carry out photosynthesis.

And if a plant can't do photosynthesis, it can't produce its own food and

it can't grow

So once again air, more importantly, carbon dioxide, is important.

Check

So to put it all together, plants need water, soil, sun, and carbon dioxide to grow and

be healthy.

Now my friends, it is your turn..

What happens if you take the sprouted closet plant to the window-- will it turn green?

What happens if you take the sprouted window plant and put in the closet?

Or if you keep observing the plants for two weeks-- do they keep growing?

So you don't miss any episodes, make sure to subscribe.

Until next time my friends....Explore More

JUST IN Kellyanne Conway Rips Kathy Griffin! What She Said Will RUIN HER LIFE! - Duration: 21:09.

JUST IN Kellyanne Conway Rips Kathy Griffin!

What She Said Will RUIN HER LIFE!

Late Wednesday evening, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway said the photo of comedienne

Kathy Griffin holding up a manufactured bloody, decapitated head of President Donald Trump

was a planned-out action, not a "misstep."

Conway is the first White House official to publicly comment on the image.

"Ample time for reflection/correction," wrote Conway.

Her tweet centered around the idea that Griffin's participation in creating the image was not

a momentary foible.

"Kathy Griffin did not misspeak or misstep.

She plotted & posed for photoshoot," she wrote.

In a video for TMZ during the photo shoot, Griffin makes very clear that she was aware

of the extremely severe nature of the photograph.

She created the image with controversial photographer Tyler Shields, whom Griffin called "wildly

talented."

She said that she and Shields are "not afraid to do images that make noise," adding that

first she is an artist.

After eliciting a high-five from the photographer while looking at the images, Griffin jokes,

"We have to move to Mexico today cause we're gonna go to prison, federal prison."

Shields replies, "Yeah, yeah."

Griffin continues in the TMZ video: "Call your dad, apologize, then let's you and

me and Darrell just go to Mexico today cause we're not surviving this.

K?"

She initially defended the photo against criticism, but by the end of the day had issued an apology.

"Hey everybody.

It's me, Kathy Griffin.

I sincerely apologize.

I am just now seeing the reaction of these images," she said in a video posted to Instagram.

She stated she is a comic and went too far.

"The image is too disturbing.

I understand how it offends people.

It wasn't funny.

I get it.

I've made a lot of mistakes in my career, I will continue," she said.

As of late Tuesday, CNN had issued a statement that what Griffin did was "disgusting and

offensive."

Griffin has participated annually in CNN's New Year's Eve coverage since 2007.

[Eng Sub]Whats in my bag | for Wedding Guest | LISA - Duration: 7:25.

Hi everyone.

It's Lisa.

It's already May.

There are so many weddings in May and June.

Today, I'm filming 'What's in my Bag' video.

I'll briefly show you what I carry with me when I'm taking a smaller bag.

I'll briefly show you what I carry with me when I'm taking a smaller bag.

I usually dress up very casually

so I often carry this kind of echo bag.

But echo bags are not appropriate for weddings with formal attire.

So I take this kind of small purse.

In this bag, there are stuff that I always take with me

but there are other stuff that I needed as a wedding guest.

I'll go through them one by one.

Firstly, a camera!

It was my best friend's wedding so I brought a camera with me

for some snap shots.

This is Fujifilm X70.

I like this cause it looks like a film camera.

I like this cause it looks like a film camera.

I normally film with DSLR at home

But when I'm filming outside, I mostly use this.

It takes great sentimental photos.

I bought this as I fell in love with the colors it gives.

But it's so slow with focus when filming a video

And the motor makes loud noise

so I don't think it's suitable for videos.

Anyway, I took my sub-camera for snap photos.

My purse was too small to fit in my wallet.

So I just put my card and ID in my phone case.

Some people might not need this but this is a must have for me.

A portable battery

and a cable.

I have iPhone6 and the battery runs out so fast.

And I'm always on my phone so my battery doesn't last long.

So I always bring a portable battery when I'm going outside.

EarPods

I think everyone brings earphones.

Because it's boring to take a subway.

That time, I usually watch other creator's video on Youtube.

So I always bring headphones with me.

It's time for some makeup products, right?

We always take photos at weddings.

Depends on the wedding,

sometimes we take photos after the ceremony then move to the restaurant.

Or some wedding places have buffet on the venue or prepare course meal for guests.

sometimes we take photos after the ceremony while having food.

This wedding had buffet inside the venue.

So I had to take photo after the ceremony while having a meal.

I had to fix my makeup as I was in the middle of my meal.

So I just brought two products with me.

One is Estee Lauder Doublewear Cushion Stick.

The product comes out when you twist it.

The product will come out like this and you can just pat it in.

It's literally a 'cushion stick'

This is Bone shade.

If you go to Estee Lauder counter, they have a device that analyses your skin tone

and tells you what base/makeup fits on your skin tone.

That device told me #Bone is my shade.

The wedding ceremonies aren't that long.

The makeup doesn't melt down too much

but when you are eating, your lip makeup disappears.

So I fixed my makeup with Doublewear Cushion stick

then reapplied lip makeup.

The product I used on my lips was this YSL tint #48 Orange Graffiti.

The product I used on my lips was this YSL tint #48 Orange Graffiti.

I chose a tint instead of a lipstick

because I have dry lips.

But I couldn't fit in a lip balm and lipstick in this small bag.

That was the first reason.

Secondly, I had to take photo while eating

If you rush to apply a lipstick, it might get on to your teeth.

Of course lip stain and liquid lipsticks can transfer on your teeth.

But in my case, lipsticks tend to transfer on the front teeth a lot more often.

So I chose a tint which is relatively safer.

I applied it when they called my name for the photo during the meal time.

Next, I have a small mirror.

I brought a mirror with me.

So that I could quickly check my makeup, lips, and hair.

lips

and hair

Usually, I carry a small mirror with me.

Thought I wasn't the bride

I still wanted look good in the wedding photos.

This bag was bit too tiny for this mirror

But I just shoved it in to the bag.

I took this with me because it was a wedding.

This is heel shields.(Blister Prevention)

You will understand as soon as you see it.

There were round shape and square shape but I used them all up and only left with the big ones.

It's a thick, bouncy sponge

that you can put on the sore area underneath the stockings.

If you think it might come off, wrap it with a bandaid to fix it in place.

It will stay better.

I rarely wear heels.

I usually wear something comfortable such as sneakers or Crocs Leigh wedges

But I thought Leigh wedge wouldn't be appropriate for a wedding

So I wore high open toe heels instead.

It wasn't uncomfortable shoes

but it was my first time wearing it so it was still stiff.

My feet were really sore so I put these all over my heels and toes to go through the pain.

My feet were really sore so I put these all over my heels and toes to go through the pain.

If you don't wear high-heels very often,

put it on in the morning in advance.

If you don't, your feet will have blisters by the time you get to the wedding venue.

All my friends and uni friends asked for one so we all had this on our feet.

All my friends and uni friends asked for one so we all had this on our feet.

I always bring this blister shields with me whenever I attend a wedding lol.

Maybe I should wear high heels more often.

I wore this metal watch.

This is Daniel Wellington Petite Sterling.

Usually, I prefer leather strap.

But I thought that looked too casual

so I wore this Petite.

The only slim part of my body is my wrists.

This is the perfect size. (32mm)

I felt like bare nails were inappropriate so I just applied something neat.

I felt like bare nails were inappropriate so I just applied something neat.

I didn't use any of the glitter stickers. I just applied a nail polish.

So that was all I had in my bag.

Thought it's a tiny bag,

I feel like I brought all the essentials with me quite efficiently.

The echo bag or back pack that I usually use can hold more stuff.

The echo bag or back pack that I usually use can hold more stuff.

I'll film another 'What's in my bag' video when I get a chance.

I hope this video was helpful for those who are planning to attend a wedding.

Please like, comment and subscribe to my channel.

Please like, comment and subscribe to my channel.

I hope today is full of happiness for you.

I'll see you in my next video.

What happens when I stop taking creatine? - Duration: 3:16.

Hey guys, Paul from Ultimate Fat Burner.com here, and in this video I'm going to answer

the question, "what happens when I stop taking creatine?"

I'll have the answer for you in just a couple of seconds,

stick around, I'll be right back.

Alright, welcome back - thanks so much for sticking around.

So... if you're wondering "what happens when I stop taking creatine?"

... here's what you need to know...

The first thing you're going to notice is that you're going to drop some weight on the

scales.

It won't happen overnight, but within a couple of days to

a week of stopping your creatine, you're going to notice that you weigh anywhere from a couple of pounds

to as many as 10 pounds - or maybe a little more - less.

Now a lot of people freak out when this happens, because

they assume that what they're losing is mucle, and all the gains they worked so hard for...

are slowly going down the drain.

Relax. That's not what's happening here.

Creatine is very effective at drawing water into the muscles cells and the weight you

are losing is water weight.

Your gains - whatever gains you did make - are not impacted.

The other thing you're going to notice is that you look "flatter" physically.

And by that I mean less pumped or "swole".

This too has to do with the water that is no longer held in your muscles, which

helps give you a more pumped look.

And of course, your performance in the gym is also going to be affected.

Not your aerobic activities - studies show creatine has minimal to no affect on

cardio related activities - but instead your performance with anaerobic activites like

weight training will be affected.

Of course, if you regularly "phone" in your workouts, you probably won't

notice much when you stop taking creatine.

On the other hand, if you`re the type of person who makes every rep count and pushes out every

very last one with each and every set, you are definitely going to

notice that you gas out earlier, and it makes perfect sense that you do; they way creatine

works is that it provides the raw material for the

anaerobic energy creation process in the muscle cell, so if you`re not maintaining peak saturation

by taking a daily dose of creatine, you`re not going

to be able to do as much work.

Now, if you're not liking the answer to the question, what happens when I stop taking

creatine, well the solution is actually pretty easy...

Take a short break, and cycle back on the stuff.

All these effects will be reversed within a week or so of starting back up again.

Remember, long term studies have been performed on vulnerable populations taking creatine

safely for periods of up to two years, so unless you have an

underlaying health issue or kidney problems, don`t feel like you have to cycle off the stuff every couple

of weeks.

Ok, guys that's a wrap and I hope you enjoyed this video, if you did a thumbs up would be

awesome.

If you have any questions or comments about cycling off

creatine, please leave them below.

If you're interested in learning more about the sort of results taking creatine can bring

you, you'll find a link to my "creatine results video" on the screen

here in a moment.

Lastly, if you haven't subscribed yet, please do so - there's a icon to my right here that

you can click, or just use the red subscribe button just a little

further below this video.

Thanks again for watching and I'll see you really soon.

What Is Payment Banks? | Why They Are Important For India - Duration: 3:23.

Hello and welcome to another video. Today we will discuss about The

Payment Banks

A Payments bank is almost similar to other banks in service; one

major difference, however, is – it operates on a smaller basis.

The Reserve Bank of India introduced this concept to increase the

financial inclusion of small businesses, migrant labor force, and

unorganized sectors. Payments banks shall confine their activities to

remittance services, acceptance of demand deposits, and internet banking

remittance services, acceptance of demand deposits, and internet banking

"in-principle approval granted will be valid for the period of 18 months.

Rather than traditional banking, the Payments banks operate their

functioning through mobile phones

RBI has given the nod to 11 entities including, Sun Pharma, Airtel,

PayTM, Tech Mahindra, Vodafone, and reliance industry.

What payments banks can do

Accept demand deposits, i.e., current deposits, and savings bank

deposits from individuals, small businesses and other entities

To hold a maximum balance of Rs one lakh per individual customer,

interest is given on these balances.

allowed to set up branches, ATMs and Banking Correspondents

Allowed to issue debit cards also offer internet banking.

Can accept a large pool of money to be remitted but at the end of

the day the balance should not exceed one lakh rupees

Permitted to handle cross border remittance transactions in the

nature of personal payments / remittances on the current account

* Allowed to distribute mutual fund products, insurance products and

pension products

Has to use the word 'Payments Bank' in its name to differentiate from

other banks

What payments banks cannot do

No NRI deposits should be accepted

cannot issue credit card loans.

Why the Payment banks are so important ?

It's a step to redefine banking in India. The Reserve Bank expects

payment banks to target India's migrant laborers, low-income

households and small businesses, offering savings accounts and

remittance services with a low transaction cost. It hopes payments

banks will enable poorer citizens who transact only in cash to take

their first step into formal banking. It could be uneconomical for

traditional banks to open branches in every village but the mobile

phones coverage is a promising low-cost platform for quickly taking

basic banking services to every rural citizen.

The innovation is also expected to accelerate India's journey into a

cashless economy.

Veterinary Passion: Doing Good - No Matter What the Task - Duration: 0:49.

I used to despise dental cleanings because there's a lot of complicated

extractions, but then I realized how much you helped that animal and how much

better they feel. And owners call and say wow he's playing with toys and played

with in three years because he didn't want to put him in his mouth. And that

changed my perspective like okay I'm doing good here yeah they might be

difficult tricky and intensive but getting that positive reinforcement and

watching those animals come back after you've seen them ill and you've seen

them hurting and you're able to help out with your technicians and your client

care specialists and work as a team to make them feel better is extremely

rewarding.

This is my passion.

This is my profession.

This is our AVMA.
