Morning guys, I don't even have a voice yet. So it is, it's not even that early, ten past seven in the morning.

It's Sunday morning, I'm heading to the airport, I'm going back home for my Scottish Hen Party, and a whole load of other stuff.

I'm definitely still recovering from the Icelandic Hen Do, and not necessarily alcohol wise, hungover, but

but my voice and definitely for my muscles from pole dancing.

I'm absolutely aching, can't even carry my case so that could be quite interesting. But yeah, I'm flying home today,

I'm hoping that I can just kind of relax and sleep all day, hahaha

This will be our last time away before we are man and wife - last time apart babe. I thought I was the sleepy one!!

Hey guys, so I am back in Scotland now, I'm feeling

knackered after an early morning flight. Now this maybe shows you how acclimatize

I am to Iceland but when the doors opened it was actually warm and it's so

nice it's like 21 degrees or something so I'm nice and toasty back home.

I'm going to enjoy sitting in the garden for a little bit, mum is making a fry-up so

I'm going to have some bacon and eggs and a good cup of Scottish tea and then

we're probably going to get through the dining room which is covered in post

because of all the things that we've been ordering for the wedding. I think that

I will be, quite shortly, also taking a nap and then maybe taking a bath as well.

But I'm sitting in front of all these beautiful plants that she's been

organising, growing and nurturing for our wedding. So this is a one table full of

plants and some over here as well.

So first stop is the supermarket and

I'm always amazed by how inexpensive this amazing food is, yes!!

We've done our evening walk, this is what the woods behind our house looks like, I thoughts I'd show it to you.

because it's beautiful to see so much greenery after living in Iceland and

listen to those birds.

We should ask for a request for videos since I'm home with my mum who is a yoga and

fitness expert and an amazing cook and amazing at flower arranging and

telling you what flowers are what in her garden. If you have any video suggestions

Hey guys so it's a lot later on now and I am in bed,

in my makeshift bed on the dining room floor because my mum's got full

house at the moment with a whole lot of people saying, my sister and her

boyfriend have just bought a new house and they were moving into it tomorrow so

I am on the floor, em I have pulled the short straw and, basically we had

dinner, I had a really relaxing bath that was good

and now I'm just gonna chill out in bed and maybe upload some footage and just get

it on the computer and started because there's a lot to do this week

and I still want to keep up with editing and uploading so I shall say good night

for now and see you up tomorrow brings.

Good morning guys it is Monday morning

I look like this because I have just woken up in the corner of the dining room.

It is a beautiful sunny day and I'm struggling to move because of the pole dancing.

I've still not really got a full voice

but look how beautiful it is. Da da!

Actually I just remembered that the window cleaner was out here somewhere so, yeah!!

but sunshine

and then get some low carb breakfast on

okay so these are all the parcels for wedding preps, I'm gonna start

just opening them now to try and remember what I've actually ordered.

It felt a bit like Christmas.

We have a ton of balloons and some ribbon sticks, some ribbon, some LED

lights, ribbon nope balloons with gold inside them, more balloons and some chalk

board writing pens, these are all fake candles, paper tassel decorations, hangers

for all the dresses, umbrellas just in case, surprise surprise a load more

balloons, and helium balloon weights, this is bubbles, these are present, this is

sparklers, hair decorations, a little gift box, and a ton of flowers.

There was no way I was going to remember how much I'd ordered or what there was in there.

We're gonna go and eat in the garden so

everybody grab their plate and enjoy this...mmm

So we are now in the car we're heading

down to North Berwick where the jeweller is that I am getting my ring made from,

and we're all going because, well, Ingimar is not able to go for us because he's

back in Iceland.

We changed cars and now I'm in the

'top down, summer in the city' with Mum.

Wow...it's lovely, it's absolutely perfect.

of different people em, I was gonna go to TKMaxx but I don't think I've

got any time so I guess I'll just go on me up with mum now

I'm literally two minutes in town and mum just phoned me because she's round the corner ready to

pick me up so I did not succeed at any shopping time but I'm sure I'll fit

some in the next two weeks.

So this is the breakfast spread for this morning,

we have two little people joining us but they're still in their bed or on their way,

and mum's even made a Sonia-friendly little fruit, aw, thank Eric.

yeah...one foot...Ted's going to destroy this one...yeah. that's how you drive the car.

So fun in the garden with the kids. We have dressed up in the wrapping from

Amazon and we have all become presents.

We're gonna go and visit Auntie Steph in her new house!!

Shopping with the little people...

That was pretty skilful, I just managed to

sneak Nori's birthday presents, I got her to choose it and then managed to somehow

convince her that she had to write to the birthday fairy and I went off to the check out and bought it.

So I've got her a bubble set because she wants to make bubbles in the garden so a whole wands and

some soap and everything, and then there is a little

suitcase that's got a load of craft stuff, playdoh, sticker book and that kind of thing in there,

and it's a little travel trolley which is really cute.

So I'll now head back in and join them to actually do food shopping now.

An Immediate Shifting for Your Family and You! - Duration: 2:21.

Greetings. It's good to be back home. As you can see, I'm here in my office. I want to

talk today about one of the blessings God released at Pentecost. And this

happened because I was on our ministry trip———They asked me to help

them celebrate Pentecost. We did. It was amazing what the Lord did at that time.

But then I felt He showed me from the book of Ruth. Ruth starts out in the barley

harvest, which is Passover, and then continues all the way to the wheat harvest,

which is Pentecost. And Ruth is amazing because she didn't receive any angelic

visitation or vision; she just chose to take care of her family. And many of you

have chosen—you began to realize that you are the key for your

family. So you said, "Lord, I want to take care of my family. I want them to come in to

all you have for them." So the thing about Ruth is as she faithfully served, there

came a time when her kairos time came and she asked Boaz to cover her. The

result was that the fields and land was restored to her family. That

represents calling and destiny. And so I feel that what the Lord was

saying to us at Pentecost this year is "Because you have been seeking

after Me, you will see that I am restoring your family." And so therefore

if you don't have that understanding, please get it. God wants to restore the

destiny of your family. But not only that. As you move in that understanding, you

will see that you will enter into your greater destiny, or the plan or calling

that God has for you. That's what happened to Ruth. And so I feel that's

really one of the great messages or blessings that God has for us this

Pentecost. Happy to share that with you. Talk to you next time.

I am really excited about this special vlog because we have a new DCARA staff member who recently joined us here.

If you don't mind, tell us about yourself: your name and where you come from.

Kelly: Sure. Of course! My name is Kelly McCrary. I recently moved here from Rochester, New York.

Ray: Rochester! That's far away. Wow. Kelly: Yeah.

Ray: Which is hotter: Rochester or here?

Kelly: It is better here because the heat is dry. Perfect. There it gets hot too but also humid. Ugh, so sweaty.

Ray: In winter? What is the difference between here and there?

Kelly: Oh! It is worse there! Definitely! Cold. Lots of snow! Here there is no snow. Wow!

Ray: What is your job title here at DCARA?

Kelly: I am the Family Connections Manager here at DCARA. I am thrilled to start moving with these services here at DCARA!

Ray: Please explain and expand on what you will do.

Kelly: As Family Connections Manager, I will contact different families with Deaf children. I will help those families to connect with their Deaf children.

I will help those families with ASL and IEP meetings for schools--both mainstream and Deaf schools.

And also, I will be hosting events for families to get together and have fun!

Ray: Since you are responsible for the Bay Area and North Coast, what kind of help do you need?

Kelly: I need help with Deaf mentoring. What does a Deaf Mentor do?

Home visits with families to talk with them and make sure the connection between the Deaf child and their family is good.

If ASL needs to be taught, pulling resources and referrals from DCARA.

And also getting families together so they don't feel alone. Getting together with the Deaf Mentor.

Also, very importantly, the Deaf Mentor is a Deaf role model. This is important when looking for Deaf Mentors.

Ray: If you are interested and want to be involved as a Deaf Mentor, please contact Kelly. She needs to expand services throughout the region.

She can't do it all herself. She needs help. Please contact her.

Kelly: Yes. I would love to have you join us in Family Connections!

Ray: What is your vision and plan for Family Connections in the future?

Kelly: First of all, I would like to see an increase in awareness, referrals and advocacy partnerships.

Also, we will have events happening more frequently for families to get together and have fun! That is my goal.

Ray: Someone told me that you plan to film your own vlogs--breaking off from Coffee Chat with Ray. What will your vlogs be?

Kelly: The plan for my vlogs is to be about tips and advice for Family Connections with Deaf Children.

Also we will be informing you of what's happening in the future--related to tutorials, classes, etc.

Ray: Perfect! Exciting! So watch her vlogs from now on! Okay? Kelly: Yes!

Ray: Okay. You know I always must have a Deaf artist featured on Coffee Chat.

The artist's name is Ann Silver from Seattle, Washington. She has been famous for many, many years.

This is one of my favorites.

Kelly: I find this fascinating.

Ray: I am curious what your interpretation of this artwork is, as Family Connections Manager--connecting with families.

I did look at this with interest. What I noticed first: the colors.

When you deeply analyze this, you see that these crayons represent 100 years before these crayons. Interesting.

These crayons have negative names related to Deaf.

These crayons are positive, showing increasing awareness and improvement.

These are dark. These are bright!

Connected with my position of connecting with families, children--of course--love drawing, color and expressing themselves that way.

Interesting.

I match up with this Deaf identity.

Connecting with Deaf children with the same identity.

That's my interpretation.

Ray: Marvelous. I did not think about drawing with the crayons. She went right to connecting it with family and children.

I did not think of that, but now it makes perfect sense--combining with children.

Kelly: This is very interesting. I want to bring this to my office. Can I?

Ray: So you feel this combines well with Deaf mentoring, teaching and raising Deaf children to grow up to be proud of themselves

and their diversity, their intersectionality? Matching with the different identities in this artwork. Right?

Kelly: Yes! That's right. Perfect!

Ray: Okay! I am excited and looking forward to your upcoming expansion of the Family Connections program!

And I am confident she will be successful in the upcoming expansion. No question about that!
