[Steve Myers] If you're like me you love a discount.

I love a deal.

You never know what might be waiting on the often overlooked shelves and corners of a

thrift store.

It's always interesting, sometimes entertaining and occasionally an educational experience.

A while ago I stopped by a local thrift shop and began my search.

I was looking through all kinds of oddities hoping I might find something valuable.

Then it caught my eye.

It wasn't a useless trinket, a broken gadget or an old knickknack.

It wasn't just any old junk item.

There it was on a shelf amid the clutter of discarded decorations and cast-off curios.

It seemed to me to be a priceless possession, but it was marked with a blue sticker that

read only one dollar!

It was a charming plaque inscribed with the Ten Commandments, the law of God, certainly

worth more.

After all they are God's guidelines to a successful life, yet marked for only a buck.

This brought a question to my mind, "How much is God's law worth to me?"

What price do you place on God's law?

The decoration reminded me that the most widespread controversy about the teachings of Jesus concerns

God's law.

Do you think that Jesus' instructions in the New Testament discounted or replaced the

teachings of the Old Testament?

Most churches and denominations believe Jesus brought new doctrine that was very different

from the instructions of the Old Testament.

Many believe that Christ did away with the teachings of the Old Testament, in a sense

casting them off to the thrift shop.

So, what exactly does Jesus have to say about the law?

Has he relegated it to a quaint plaque?

You need to know the surprising answer.

Stay tuned to this edition of Beyond Today as we help you answer the question, "Which

Commandments Do Christians Have to Obey?"

Do you think that the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament canceled or replaced the

teachings in the Old Testament?

What was Christ's attitude toward the laws of God recorded in the Old Testament?

Most religions believe that Jesus' taught that the Old Testament laws are no longer

binding on Christians today.

Were His teachings altogether different from the instructions in the Old Testament?

Many think Christ annulled the teachings of the Old Testament so they should be cast off

like that plaque in the thrift shop.

But should they?

What exactly does Jesus have to say about the law?

Should Christians obey the law?

I was visiting with someone not too long ago and we got into a conversation about God's

law and which Old Testament laws apply today.

It went something like this.

As we began to talk, she told me she felt Jesus nailed the law to the cross so she didn't

have to worry about it.

I asked her, "To what laws are you referring?"

She focused on the Saturday Sabbath.

She told me that the seventh day Sabbath observance was done away at the crucifixion and that

old law was no longer necessary.

"In fact," she said, "didn't Jesus Himself say that He fulfilled the law?"

I wanted to help her understand what Christ and really what the Bible teach in the New

Testament about the law of the Old Testament.

I realized that she was making the same mistake that most Christians, and Jews alike for that

matter, make about the teachings of Jesus.

Both hold the mistaken idea that Jesus departed from the teachings of the Old Testament especially

in regard to law.

I mentioned to her there's no doubt that Jesus disagreed with the religious leaders

of His day.

But did you know that He didn't disagree with Old Testament Scripture?

Christ made a crystal clear statement about the law in the New Testament.

So we turned to a section of scripture that's the longest recorded statement of Christ's

teachings.

It's often called the Sermon on the Mount.

This is where we can find His view toward the law of God as recorded in the Old Testament.

Here's what Jesus said, "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets.

I did not come to destroy but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17).

I explained because Jesus' preaching was so different from that of the Pharisees and

the Sadducees, they were the religious leaders of His day, some mistake what Jesus did.

His real intention was to challenge them.

Jesus showed that their example and teaching were contrary to the teachings of the Bible.

Christ said, "I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."

You see, Jesus had no intention of destroying the law of God, not doing away with it or

nailing it to the cross.

He even tells us not to even think such a thing.

"Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets."

Now my friend thought about that for a moment and then asked me about the term "the Law

and the Prophets."

What exactly is that talking about?

I described that it was an expression commonly used for the Old Testament Scriptures.

Far from being opposed to the Old Testament Jesus said He had come to fulfill "the Law

and the Prophets."

"So fulfilling the law is not finishing it and ending it?" she asked me.

"Isn't that what Jesus meant when He spoke of fulfilling the law?

Since He said He would fulfill the law, I guess we don't need to keep it any longer."

I said, "Well that's what so many people believe, but it's just not the case.

When you look up that word translated "fulfill" in a lexicon it will show you that it means

"to make full, to fill up, to fill to the full" or "to complete" (Thayer's Greek-English

Lexicon of the New Testament, 2002, Strong's number 4137).

In other words, Jesus said He came to complete the law and make it perfect, or in other words

to show its true meaning.

"So you're telling me that Jesus didn't mean that He ended the law by fulfilling it?"

I said, "Exactly!

Christ said He came to show its true meaning and make the Law perfect.

One Bible translation puts it this way.

"Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law or the Prophets; I have

come not to do away with or undo but to complete and fulfill them" (Amplified Bible, Classic

Edition AMPC).

That ties in with what it says in Isaiah 42:21.

It says, "He [Christ] will magnify the law, and make it honorable."

You might ask, "How did Christ magnify or complete the law?

What did He do?"

He magnified it by showing the spiritual intent of God's law.

That's so important to realize.

Jesus demonstrated how the law continues to have a spiritual application, even today.

Actually in a way it made it even more difficult to keep, not that it was no longer necessary.

So you see our Savior showed that deeper meaning, that spiritual meaning and purpose of God's

law.

He set the example by meeting the requirement of the law by obeying it perfectly in thought

and in action.

He obeyed the letter of the law and its spiritual intent.

If you take an honest approach to the Bible, you'll clearly see that this is true.

Jesus himself demonstrates it a moment later right here in scripture, he demonstrates that

teaching of the spiritual application of specific commandments.

Notice how He does this in Matthew 5:21.

He says, "As you know, long ago God instructed Moses to tell His people, 'Do not murder;

those who murder will be judged and punished.

But here is the even harder truth: anyone who is angry with his brother will be judged

for his anger'" (Matthew 5:22).

You see here Christ showed the spiritual application of the law and that it applies today.

The spiritual application of "do not murder" is, do not even be angry.

So as we continued our discussion, she thought about what Christ taught.

After a moment she said, "I was always taught that it was nailed to the cross.

I know there's a passage that talks about that."

Well I had to agree.

There is a passage that states that something was nailed to the cross.

But was it the law?

We looked at that verse that's found in Colossians 2:14.

It refers to Christ "having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against

us, which was contrary to us.

And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."

(NKJ)

When we examine this passage, is it really saying that God's law was wiped out or nailed

to the cross?

Are the commandments done away?

When you have a question about a Bible passage, we always have to remember to read those verses

that go before and after it and by looking at the context of the scripture we find the

verse before it identifies what Christ's death wiped out.

"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has

made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses" (Colossians 2:13).

So what's the real problem?

It's our trespasses.

In other words our sin is the real issue.

It's not God's law.

Only sins are wiped out and nailed to the cross, not the law of God.

This becomes clearer by looking at the next phrase "having wiped out the handwriting

of requirements that was against us" (Colossians 2:14).

What are the requirements against us?

It's NOT God's law.

It's the penalty of the law.

The word here means "an opinion, or a (a public) decree" (Robert Thomas, New American

Standard Hebrew-Aramaic and Greek Dictionaries, 1999).

When you realize the background you'll find a better understanding.

In fact, there's a historical aspect that's very interesting about this passage.

Back in the day, this expression referred to an official handwritten sentence or a charge

against someone for breaking a law.

Notice this translation: "He canceled the record of the charges against us and took

it away by nailing it to the cross."

(NLT) The Living Bible also clearly renders this verse, "He took this list of sins and

destroyed it by nailing it to the cross."

Jesus did in fact take something out of the way and it was nailed to His cross.

He is our Savior and He took the penalty that we deserve.

We deserve death for our sins.

He died for us and that through Him we can be forgiven.

He told exactly the same thing to us in Acts 3:19.

Peter said, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out" (NIV).

It's also recorded for us, "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for

My own sake; And I will not remember your sins" (Isaiah 43:25).

So when these various passages are taken together it begins to give us a clearer understanding

of Jesus and the Law.

It was evident, evident that my friend began to recognize that she was dedicated to becoming

a faithful student of God's Word.

She said she understood that the Bible is more than just a collection of old poems and

letters and we talked about the fact that the Bible, both the Old Testament and the

New Testament, fit together in such an amazing way.

It is the inspired Word of God and it must be our guidebook for life.

Now as we discussed these passages we zeroed in on another part of the statement that was

made by Jesus about the Law.

It's found in Matthew 5:18.

He said, "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one

tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled."

Jesus had just gotten done saying, "I did not come to destroy but to fulfill."

Now He makes His meaning even clearer.

Jesus compares the permanence of His law to the stability of heaven and earth.

Another translation of the Bible puts it this way, "Indeed, I assure you, as long as heaven

and earth endure, not even the smallest detail of the Law will be done away with until its

purpose is complete."

(TPT)

Doesn't it become apparent that Jesus did not come to annul or abolish the law?

He taught that as long as there are still fleshly human beings that God's law is necessary.

So, Christ teaches it is unchangeable; it's immutable and can only be fulfilled, not revoked.

Now it was about this time in our discussion that I asked, "Do you believe that the 10

commandments are still to be kept today?"

She told me that she felt that at least some of them applied now.

She commented, "I was taught from the time I was a little girl that I should tell the

truth, and not steal.

Don't covet what doesn't belong to me."

But when it came to "remember the Sabbath, to keep it holy," she said, "I was always

under the impression that the Sabbath command was somehow no longer required."

That's when our talk turned to the very next passage in Matthew 5.

It's a powerful verse.

Jesus taught that even our future depends on our attitude toward the Commandments and

our obedience to God's holy law.

"So whoever sets aside any command that seems unimportant and teaches others to do

the same will be unimportant in the kingdom of heaven.

But whoever does and teaches what the commands say will be called great in the kingdom of

heaven."

(Matthew 5:19 GW)

Doesn't Jesus make it obvious?

He says that those who continue in law breaking and also teach others to break God's law,

will not themselves be in His Kingdom at all.

As we spoke about it I mentioned if someone truly wants to be a follower of Christ and

ultimately be in His Kingdom, they do have a continual obligation to obey and to uphold

God's law.

He says that we shouldn't minimize the law of God.

Not even by the tiniest bit, not even the crossing of a "t" or dotting of an "i."

That's how much Jesus valued the law.

He says that He disapproves of those who downplay even the very least of the law's commands.

Who would want to disappoint Almighty God?

Yet on the other hand, honor will be given to those who teach and obey His commandments.

We know that Jesus obeyed the commandments of God perfectly.

So it follows that His servants must keep the commandments and teach others to do the

same.

It's no wonder it is recorded for us twice in scripture, "I am the LORD, I do not change."

That's Malachi 3:6.

Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever."

This brought us to a crossroads in our discussion: whether or not Christians have to obey the

10 commandments.

More specifically the controversial commandment number 4.

It seems that no biblical command has stirred as much controversy as the Fourth Commandment.

That's God's instruction to "remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy" found

in Exodus 20:8.

First we talked about some of the misunderstandings, some of the misconceptions about that passage:

- Some believe that Jesus replaced the Sabbath and He now is our "rest."

- Others believe the Sabbath is abolished and we can worship on any day or any time

we choose.

- Some think Jesus annulled all of the Ten Commandments but that nine were reinstituted

in the New Testament, all except the Sabbath.

- Most traditional Christianity believes that the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week,

was replaced by Sunday, the first day of the week.

We both agreed that we should stick to the facts that we could find in our Bibles.

I was glad that she wanted to find the truth right from the pages of Scripture, in view

of Christ's practice.

So what was His attitude and teaching about the Sabbath day?

As we dug into the Bible, one of the first things we noticed is that Jesus' custom

was to attend the synagogue for worship on the Sabbath.

Luke 4:16 says, "Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up.

As usual he went into the synagogue on the day of rest—a holy day.

He stood up to read the lesson."

(GW) This was His regular practice.

His habit, it was to observe the Sabbath and on this particular Sabbath Day He even announced

His mission as the Messiah.

It also came to my mind that after the Crucifixion, the Apostle Paul continued to observe the

Sabbath.

He worshipped and also taught on the Sabbath day.

The New Testament records: "Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three

Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures, explaining and demonstrating that the Christ

had to suffer and rise again from the dead…"

(Acts 17:2-3).

As we studied this, we found that neither Paul nor Jesus never so much as hinted that

they didn't need to keep the Sabbath or that they should somehow worship on a different

day.

We also noted that the religious leaders of the day, they hated Jesus and wanted Him dead.

They undermined what was most important in the law of God.

They also added many meticulous rules, regulations and traditions to the Sabbath commandment.

So many that trying to keep it as they demanded became a tremendous burden for people rather

than the blessing God had intended it to be.

It was in this setting that Jesus gives the true purpose of the Sabbath.

He said, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath" (Mark 2:27).

Christ powerfully declared His authority to say how the Sabbath should be observed right

in the next verse: "Therefore, the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath" (Mark 2:28).

The importance of this statement might get away from us at first glance.

But examining what Jesus really taught reveals the significance.

Jesus Christ takes His rightful place as the One who gave the law of the Sabbath.

Did you know that He is the One who created the Sabbath by resting on it at the very beginning?

(Genesis 2:3).

No wonder Jesus said "the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath" because "all

things were made through Him."

John 1:3

That left us with a question.

Why would Jesus do away with something that He had personally created for the benefit

of every human being?

Christ was saying that He gave the law to man in the first place, so He knows why it

was commanded and how it was intended to be observed.

When He spoke, it was from the authority He inherently possessed as the great Lawgiver.

Doesn't it make sense that Jesus would not annul or do away with His own law?

As we were concluding our conversation, we took note of the unity between the Old Testament

and the New Testament in the Bible.

At the beginning, Jesus created the Sabbath and gave the commandments.

When the Church began, Paul taught that we must obey.

"For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the

law will be justified" (Romans 2:13).

Then, toward the end of the Bible some 60 years after the death of Christ, the apostle

John was inspired to write about it as well.

He answered the question, were the Ten Commandments abolished?

Are Christians expected to keep the commandments?

Here's what's recorded for us all: "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep

His commandments.

He who says, 'I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the

truth is not in him'" (1 John 2:3-4).

That's a forceful statement.

That's one that's emphasized right to the final chapters of the Bible.

Notice what's found at the very end of Scripture.

In Revelation 12:17 it says, true Christians are described as "those who keep the commandments

of God and the faith of Jesus."

No doubt, faith and observing God's commandments go hand in hand.

In His final message in the very last chapter of the Bible, Jesus Christ once again emphasized

the law.

"Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according

to his work…Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right

to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city" (Revelation 22:12-14).

The Bible itself concludes with an emphasis on obeying the commandments of God and the

rewards that come with obedience.

As we were concluding our discussion I wondered if I helped her to realize that Jesus didn't

abolish the Law but came to give it its true meaning, showing the spiritual intent.

I think my friend began to more deeply see Christ's example and the importance of obeying

God's law today.

Our conversation, made me once again appreciate the wonderful truth of God.

How much do you appreciate that Jesus took the list of our sins and blotted them out?

How much do you appreciate that we can be forgiven?

Do you appreciate that we have the opportunity to show ourselves as true followers of Christ

by obeying and upholding God's law and the understanding that assembling together, worshipping

together, must honor Jesus as Lord of the Sabbath?

I prayed she could see the importance of God's commandments today.

It is biblical fact.

There is great blessing for those who do His commandments.

It is a serious mistake to think that Jesus annulled the instruction of the Old Testament,

especially regarding the Ten Commandments.

The biblical truth is that Jesus not only faithfully obeyed all the commandments but

taught His disciples to obey them.

We're looking forward to meeting you soon.

Come and join us!

In my trip to the thrift shop I learned more than the fact that "one man's trash is

another man's treasure."

It made me think of the ultimate treasure.

That plaque with the 10 Commandments engraved on it reminded me that God has given all of

us the treasure of His law.

Even though it was a bargain, selling for just a buck, that certainly didn't reflect

the true value of its meaning.

How can you set a price tag on the Law of God?

Well, in a way you can by following the example of Christ.

We can by our actions, we can declare that God's law is priceless to us.

He doesn't want us to obey Him just because we have to or just because the price is right.

He wants us to obey because we love Him and we love His commandments.

Christ stressed how important that is.

He said, "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.

And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to

him" (John 14:21).

Jesus holds us as Christians to a higher standard of conduct than simply following the letter

of the law.

He expects us to live by its full spiritual intent.

He upheld the Old Testament as God's inspired Word and the keeping of the commandments remain

a requirement for Christians today.

That's our program.

Thanks for joining me.

Which Rice Should You Buy For Your Health? - Duration: 3:08.

Rice.

They are many different types cultivated around the world - But which one is the healthiest?

Intro.

White rice has the husk, bran layer and the germ removed.

As a result of this extraction, it contains less nutrients than brown, black and red varieties.

It is also rapidly digested, and if you overeat on white rice, it can be an overload of carbohydrates.

However, if you eat it as part of a balanced meal and you've got vegetables and protein.

This can change the whole glycemic index, and digest much slower than it would on its own.

Brown rice is whole grain, with only the outer hull removed.

It's chewier than white rice and has a more nutty flavour.

Because brown rice still has it's bran layer and germ intact.

It is an excellent source of magnesium, iron and zinc.

Black Rice is an entirely different species compared to brown and white rice.

It boasts a higher fibre content, more minerals and has a lower glycemic index.

This is perfect for anyone with diabetes as it is a slow releasing carbohydrate.

Red rice is both hulled and unhulled watch out for these variations as this can affect

their nutritional composition.

Red rice has a unique colour thanks to its anthocyanin content, which can give you a huge boost of antioxidants.

Both red and black rice contain higher amounts of nutrients compared to white rice.

So, which one should you buy for your health?

Most dieticians go for brown and black rice, you get more fibre from eating them.

Fibre helps us to feel full for longer and provides the best amount of nutrition.

Mixing these two variations is the best way to go.

If you are going to just eat one.

Brown rice is still budget friendly and has a great source of magnesium.

Brown rice is your ticket to good health.

That doesn't mean you can't enjoy white rice.

Our body's need carbohydrates for energy so we should include it in our diets, it's about

the quantity to suit your own energy needs.

Thanks for watching wee leemons health.

MTB DECATHLON WHICH TO CHOOSE TO START? 🚴 - Duration: 5:04.

Hi guys, I'm Lory Bart, today I want to answer your question you asked me

many of you that concerns the first montain bike to buy or I am a beginner

I want to start off-road mountain biking and then I would like a means that allows me to stay

quiet off-road

be sure, without risking more, do not spend too much money because maybe it's a sport that I do not like and therefore not

I do not want to risk spending so much money to keep her in the garage. So my advice is

see taking a bike at the beginning of the economy, but maybe mechanically

valid that in the sense that you can do off-road routes

both in safety and in fun. I stopped at the Decathlon to see the various types of bikes that

present in their range I verified that a bike in

I think it's the best of all, both in terms of price quality and goodwill for sport.

The first mtb that proposes Decathlon is the rockrider 340,

after which there is the best version compared to the 340 that the 520 then we move to

540 then to

560 and so on.

Let's say that the range starts at € 180 so if one wants to start going mountain biking I have checked

mechanically the best of all mountain bikes that Decathlon proposes is 520. Because the

520? Because the 520 at a competitive price compared to other brands, I for example are a trademark dealer,

this brand that I propose that I sell does not have this figure, we say that the same type of bicycle we find on the

450 euros, then 520 compared to

340 there is an abyss of difference so I advise you to spend a little more and take the 520.

much better this, much better ....

now I'll show you the differences between these two bikes

340 against the 520. The 340 first of all has a very heavy frame and it is a lot

classic as geometry while the 520 already has a geometry much more

updated the front fork I tried it works fine

it really works well as being a spring fork it works really well. In addition it has the garnish in

metal and not plastic like 340

so on a security level

like cranks and performance quality the 520 is much higher.

Then we talk about the circles, the circles is very important to have a double chamber circle

what does it mean ? It means that inside the circle we have two aluminum channels, in this way the circle is much more

resistant and much more performing than the rim that mounts the 340 that has only one channel. Another difference a lot

important is the exchange then the transmission the

340 mounts on the seven-speed gearbox while the 520 is equipped with an eight-speed gearbox

fundamental are the disc brakes of the 5 20 while the

340 upstream on the v brake brakes at the most performance with disc brakes even if they are mechanical mechanical disc brake

is not to be underestimated because first of all is mounted with a brake to es

so a very well known very good brake is not a Chinese brake of some strange brands found replacement pads

quietly where you want

he has a good braking I tried the bike

so let's say that this bike here is a trail bike means that a bicycle there

allows quotes to do all the paths

quite rough in the descents too steep and then I recommend you do

paths not too much

dare with this bike not because we can not do it and because the bike limits you a lot to do these things

if you want I will do a test

in depth of the bike I will try it that we will see the limits of the bicycle the weight is really

ridiculous both for the superior model la

540 very little

weight difference so it is useless to go spend more money for a bike that more or less gives you the same performance

of 520 so I checked both how

components both as quality price from 520 among the rock rider range is the best outstanding

I hope to have been helpful also this tutorial I recommend subscribe to my channel

put a nice like and see you in the next video hello to everyone

I bought the 520 so I will do the test to see if these Decathlon are reliable.

Kim Kardashian Vs. Kylie Jenner: Which Sis Had Hotter Underwear Look While Showing Off Abs? | Breaki - Duration: 3:25.

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner are two hot mamas! Both sisters shared pics of themselves rocking underwear that showed off their incredibly toned stomachs

If you follow any of the Kardashian-Jenner women on Instagram, then you're acutely aware of what they all look like in a bikini

Whether you're looking at Kendall Jenner's feed or Kourtney Kardashian's, you'll likely see plenty of pics of their abs while hanging by the pool or on a boat off the Mediterranean

But there are two siblings who don't need a luxurious vacation or any other reason to share photos of their rock-hard abs

Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner practically live in underwear, and they will take pics of them wearing said underwear whenever it pleases them

(Good for them! Keep feelin' yourselves!)    Most recently, Kim took to Instagram on Aug

2 to share a photo from her "bake sesh." In the image, she can be seen holding a giant spoon with what looks like brownie mix on it

When you take your eyes away from the gooey deliciousness that is unbaked baked goods, you'll see that she's hanging out in her kitchen while wearing a grey scoop neck bra and a high-cut thong

#Casual.  Earlier the same day, Kylie posted a mirror selfie in which she wears a white high-cut thong and matching off-the-shoulder crop top

She's also posing with an unusual object – a bottle of Bondi Sands tanning spray

"My new favorite at home self tan all the way from Australia @bondisands #ad," she captioned the pic

While her outfit is certainly sexy, it's actually her hashtag that's caught our attention

The lip-kit mogul doesn't post too many #ad posts, but as we previously reported in May, Kylie's sponsored content is worth the equivalent of $1 million of traditional ad spending

Homegirl's making bank with a mirror selfie! She's gonna be at billionaire status before we know it

Honestly, both women look incredible and their dressed down looks are completely on point, but Kylie made way more money with her post, so isn't she the real winner here? I'd say so, but let us know how you feel by voting below

NPV vs IRR - Find Out Which is Better? - Duration: 14:04.

hello everyone hi welcome to the channel of Wallstreetmojo Friends today we

are going to learn at tutorial NPV vs IRR so everyone or the investor

who is trying to invest his money or let's say who is planning to make

investment decision is always confused how to know its profitability so well

there are two most important approaches which are used and they are NPV and IRR

so let's assume that your organization has asked you to to do some analysis

whether the new project will be beneficial or not so in this scenario

you would first analyze the project cost the you will first analyze what the

first is the case of the project cost and then try to evaluate its cash

inflows and outflows which is known as the cash outflow it's called as present

value of the cash inflow and cash outflow that is called as free cash

flows next you will check in how many years the cost of the project would be

recovered and by what period of the time that project will start providing

benefits so in order to measure a lucrativeness of the project or long term

investment plans there are some capital budgeting tools used by many

organization and individuals to find out the profitability of the project and the

most common tool which is used is NPV and IRR and IRR okay both of these

tools are majorly used to evaluate the profits from the investments and they

both have their own pros and cons see but the primary question is that which tool

is beneficial is it N is it NPV that is beneficial is it NPV that is beneficial

or is it IRR so there are lot of debate and you must you must read which states

NPV is better and measurable tool well other states that IRR so in this

tutorial I will be guiding you through the differences between the two and also

which tool has more relevance now let's go through some of the differences of

NPV vs IRR let's see so this guy is in question that what should be used for

buying for evaluating assets for many other reasons so let's start evaluating

first is the meaning so NPV is the acronym that is a synonym for the net

present value acronym for the net present value net present value is the

amount of present value of the cash outflow and cash inflow it's like the

present value of the cash outflow less the present value of the cash inflow so

it's like PVCI present value the cash inflow less the present value of the

cash outflow PVCO if this is positive then you get NPV now IRR IRR means is

the acronym for internal rate of return it is known as the discount rate that

makes NPV of all cash outflow and projected cash inflow equal so it's it's

like it's PVCO that is present value of the cash outflow and present value of

the cash inflow are equal in case of IRR so second the explanation part NPV

see it is the expression in the form of the currency return okay it is a form of

in the form of the currency return which our company expects from a project so

over here the portion is involved in terms of numerical value so even if you

receive the the NPV will be in terms of like $10,000 or to $12,000 of $1,000,000

and so on and so forth over here IRR is expressed in terms of percentage of

return a form expects from the project so basically IRR is like you know they

will they will tell you that you know a 10% interest rate your present value the

cash outflow and present value of the cash inflow is equal now the measure NPV is

the absolute measure okay it represents the value of the currency

that is either added or lost by undertaking the project so present value

of the cash inflow let's say if this is 10000 then present value of the cash

outflow is let's say 5,000 then in this scenario what is the difference 5,000

5,000 is your profit and if not if it is vice versa then it will be lost so it

gives an absolute measure IRR is this basically a relative measure it's you

can relate that it is a rate of return of project offers over its lifespan cash

flow changes NPV method can be used to evaluate the project or

investments where there are changes in the cash flows okay so if

there are changes like you know in the year 1 you have different cash flow like in year 1

there is 100 million in year 2 you have 200 million year 3 there is 300

million and so on and so forth so it can be used to evaluate projects or

investment where there are changes in the cash flow but IRR method cannot be

used to evaluate projects where there is changing in the cash flow it should be

constant the additional wealth so NPV takes into account the additional

shareholders wealth for calculating the profitability of the project so the

additional wealth that has been created IRR does not take into account the

additional shareholders wealth for calculating the profitably of the

project because over there the only analysis which has done is whether the

at what rate the PVCO is equal to the PVCI acceptability NPV

method is better under stable by general public as it is easy to easy to grasp

yes absolutely because it's like the outflow less the inflow or you can say

whatever is coming in your pocket and whatever is going on to the profit the

balance is your profit or loss the IRR method is more used by the business

managers and it is better to understand the concept of the return stated in the

percentages so over here in case of NPV people understand this whole thing in in

terms of numbers over here they understand in terms of percentage and it

is you more used by the business managers over here it is used for

general public or as for as layman the discount rates if discount rates changes

NPV produces different results for the same project absolutely like if there is

10% discount rate the NPV will be different at 11% discount rate it

NPV will be different it's like as the discount rate increases your cash flow

will decrease so that is the case with NPV IRR produces the same result even if

the discount rate changes for the same project so that is what the difference

is for the discount rates now the pro tip if you pro tip if you are planning

to invest in the long term projects or any other investments like you know

buying machineries or let's say for investment purpose NPV is considered as

a better measure to analyze the profitability of that investments rather

than IRR as NPV considers considers the different discount rates for the same

project and also takes into account the cost of capital because at the end of

the day discount rate includes everything the discount rate is

basically your weighted average cost of capital it includes your KE cost of

equity cost of debt the cost of preferential everything it includes

everything so now let's get into the advantages and disadvantages of NPV

let's so quickly get into the area of advantages and disadvantages of NPV see

net present value at the end of the day is calculation of the present value of

the cash inflow that is cash inflow less the cash outflow cash inflow and the

present value of the cash outflow which we have just arrayed PVCI less the PVCO

so that is your NPV the difference is NPV so if you are investing in

certain investments of project if it if it is positive that means if your NPV

that is net present value if that is positive that is greater than 0 then you

can accept that project and this will show that the NPV value to your wealth

but in case if your NPV is less than 0 then in that scenario you should not

accept the project so let's evaluate some of the advantage and disadvantage

of NPV see in case of the advantage of NPV the first thing the foremost thing

is that time value of money is given more importance TVM time value of money

is given more importance that is the value of money today is more than the

value of money received and year after now second is that the project

profitability and risk factors are given high priority so profit and you can say

the risk are taken into consideration more into consideration it helps you to

maximize your wealth as it will show your returns greater than the cost of

capital so WACC over here basically forth it takes into consideration both

before and after cash flow over the life span of the project so basically the

consideration is both the after and before the before and after the cash

flow or the lifespan of the project now let's see some of the disadvantage now

but the disadvantage the first one let's discuss see it might not give you the

first one is it might not give you the accurate decision when the two or more

projects or are our unequal life so if if there is only

unequal life you won't be having exact answer so that is one it one

disadvantage it will not give you the clarity how long a project or investment

will generate positive NPV you do simple calculation third you can say that you

know NPV method suggests to accept that investment plan which provides positive

NPV but it does not provide accurate answer at what period the time you will

achieve the positive NPV so the last one fourth one is like you know calculating

appropriate discount rate is difficult so you can see WACC calculation

you can say is difficult because at the end of the day there is a lot of

estimation process so there are some of the disadvantage and advantage of IRR

let's discuss that in case of the IRR the first one is that

at the end of the day first you cannot use this approach of iron as an

alternative method to NPV this method entirely depends on estimated cash flow

as it is a discount rate which tries to make NPV of the cash flows of a project

equal to zero so if you are using this method to make decision between two

projects then accept the project if the IRR is greater than the required rate of

return so basically you can see the event IRR is greater than the RE you

should accept the project now let's see some of the advantages see this approach

is mostly used by the financial managers as I told you and as it is expressed in

terms of percentage form so it is very easy for them to compare the required

cost of capital it will provide you an excellent

guidance on the project value and the risk you can say the project value and

the associated risk so this is one more advantage IRR method third one irr

method gives you the advantage of knowing actual return of the money which you have

invested today so actual return can be tracked very easily with the help of

this particular driver the disadvantage of the IRR is that you know IRR tells

you to accept the project or or investment plan where the IRR is greater

than the weighted average cost of capital but in case of the discount rate

changes every year then it is very difficult to make such comparison and if

there are two or more mutually exclusive projects they are projects where

acceptance of one project rejects the other one and you can say in that case

the IRR is not very effective now let's see one example let's say over here XYZ

company is planning to invest plant it generates the following cash

flows from the above information calculate the NPV and IRR if the

discounting rate is 10% over here which is given so and suggest whether

the XYZ limited should invest in this plant or not you can download this on

the IRR calculation so NPV is basically your cash inflow divided by 1

plus R raised to the n that is T less the cash outflow so over here we have

couple of things cash outflow is equal to the total project cost the first

step over here is the projected cash flows expected discounted and apply the

NPV formula in the Excel so this is number of here over here this is the

cash outflow and this is the cash inflow this is the discount rate where you have

to use and then after use the NPV formula the rate value the first value

and the second value so rate includes the discount rate the value one includes

the cash inflows okay and value to include the cash outflow and when you

apply this you get your NPV the next step is to add the cash outflow to the

NPV formula this step two is basically once you calculate the NPV you just need

to add the cash outflow NPV step three sum total to find the net present value

so this this is how the NPV a value has been found the IRR formula is basically

cash flow divided by one plus IRR rate raised to n is equal to cash outflow so

in this step the IRR step one is first you have to list down all the details

the discount rate is 10% you have the NPV so IRR is equal to

value and guess so value will include all the cash flows of the projects okay

all the it includes everything that is cash outflow and inflow so basically

from the above calculation you can see that the NPV generated by the plant is

positive and IRR is close enough to you can say 14% IRR close enough to you can

say c33 to c-38 once you do that you you see

the IRR is close enough to 14% so this implies that when discounting rate will

be around 14% the NPV will become zero hence XYZ company can invest in this

plant so the final conclusion is that as I can conclude that if you are

evaluating two or more mutually exclusive projects so better go for NPV

method instead of IRR method because it is safe to

depend on NPV method for selecting the best investment plan due to its

realistic assumption and better measure of profitability so even you can make

your use of IRR method it is greater compliment to NPV and will provide you

an accurate analysis for investment decision and also NPV finds its usage in

discounting that is discounted cash flow matter which is not DCF valuation to

find the present value of the cash flows to the form thank everyone

Which is more beneficial: egg whites or yolks? - Duration: 7:11.

Which is more beneficial: egg whites or yolks?

Are you passionate about eggs? If so perhaps more than once you've wondered which is more beneficial – the egg white or egg yolk.

Experts tell us that, in general, eating the whole egg is very healthy.

That said, every part of the egg has specific components that we invite you to discover in this article.

Eggs are an essential part of our diet, a high source of nutrients worth including in our everyday meals.

You do not need to worry about the false myth of their high level of cholesterol.

These are predominately unsaturated fatty acids which are ideal for taking care of our cardiovascular system.

So let's get to know the benefits of each part of the egg, shall we?.

Benefits of egg whites.

Which do you like more: egg whites or egg yolks? There are many people who separate one part of the egg from the other, thinking that they are taking better care of their cholesterol.

It is thought that the egg white is the most healthy part of the egg.

Let's see what all the benefits are:.

Egg whites have absolutely no fat.

They have very few calories which makes them a very healthy food.

The greatest risk occurs when we eat, for example, a fried egg, as the oil used is what contains the fat dangerous to our health.

They are rich in vitamin B complex.

Egg whites have fewer calories than egg yolks.

They tend to be well suited for weight loss.

Many people eat only egg whites for their breakfast because they provide much protein, vitamins and are also satisfying.

However, we don't recommend eating "only" egg whites for breakfast.

It is better if you combine them with other foods, like a bowl of oatmeal or a fruit smoothie, for example.

Egg whites are used for many beauty remedies: they are excellent for toning and softening the skin and can also treat any type of irritation.

Egg whites also have a kind of peptide that helps to lower blood pressure.

Benefits of egg yolks.

Egg yolks have more protein than egg whites.

The yolk is rich in fat.

Surely you know that.

Their content is about 4 grams of fat per egg, of which only 1.5 grams are saturated or negative fats.

The rest are unsaturated fats and are very beneficial to the body.

Their cholesterol level is very low and therefore harmless to healthy people.

If you tend to have high cholesterol you can somewhat restrict their consumption, but don't eliminate them completely since their protein index is very beneficial.

Egg yolk is a powerful source of vitamins and minerals.

It is rich in iron, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium.

As for vitamins you will find the following: vitamin A, E, D, B9 (folic acid), B12, B6, B2 and B1.

Nor should we forget that it is one of the few foods rich in vitamin D.

Another fact about egg yolks that we must not ignore: they contain a substance called choline.

Do you know why this is beneficial? It is good for brain health, for our memory and to fight diseases such as Alzheimer's or dementia.

Impressive without a doubt.

Egg yolk is also rich in lecithin.

What this element does is join with the cholesterol to prevent it from being completely absorbed by the body.

Lecithin is essential to nurture and care for our bone marrow, brain, liver, heart and nervous system.

It helps care for our heart health and also helps to improve memory and concentration.

Who can say now that eating egg yolks is something unhealthy? Absolutely no one!.

There are many people who eat raw egg yolks or combine them raw with smoothies in order to obtain the protein.

This is a mistake.

Eating raw egg yolks can cause diseases such as salmonellosis.

You should know that it is always better to eat cooked egg yolks since the health properties will remain the same and you will avoid any problems.

In conclusion: Which is more beneficial: egg white or egg yolk? Both parts are healthy.

The egg white is fat free and the egg yolk, although it has a small amount of saturated fats, is very rich in protein.

What is the recommendation? Eat whole eggs.

Along with a varied and balanced diet you will be taking great care of your health.

And they are delicious!.
