Princess Ameerah al-Taweel was born on November 6, 1983 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to Aidan bin

Ameerah al-Taweel mother, following her divorce from her father, had to fight for her custody

and raised her at her grandparents' place in Riyadh.

Ameerah al-Taweel attended University of New Haven in Connecticut, US, from where she graduated

magna cum laude with a degree in Business Administration.

In the 1980s, in order to give back to the society following the Islamic tradition of

Zakat, Prince Alwaleed bin Talal started providing humanitarian

aid to people devoid of basic necessities.

However, the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation was founded much later in 2009 by Princess

Ameerah al-Taweel and her husband, and was recognized by the

Ministry of Social Affairs.

She became the Vice President of the charitable and philanthropic organization, which aimed

to alleviate sufferings of common people, improve global

cultural understanding, felicitate women's empowerment, and provide

natural disaster relief to nearby Arab countries.

Promoting better understanding between the Islamic World

and the West, the foundation has established centers for study at Harvard University, Georgetown

University, University of Edinburgh, American University of Beirut and the American

University in Cairo.

Ameerah al-Taweel formally opened the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Centre of Islamic Studies

at the University of Cambridge in the presence of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,

in 2011.

At the opening ceremony, Prince Philip presented her with an 800th Anniversary Medal for Outstanding

Signs of Life? Enceladus Update for July 1, 2018 - Duration: 4:24.

While the prospects for the possibility of intelligent alien life in the universe at

large seem to be dropping in the literature as of late, I'll be covering a paper soon

that doesn't simply provide a solution to the Fermi paradox, but instead dissolves it

completely, the prospects for simple alien life within our solar system have done nothing

but rise.

This has particularly been the case for Mars, recent work very much supports the possibility

that some form of microbial life could have existed, or may yet exist on that world.

But there are also the ice shell moons such as Europa where active life may exist in its

oceans.

Whether it in fact does exist, and how complex it might be remains to be seen.

And, what we find at Europa will answer an extremely important question.

Say we find life there.

If we find very simple prokaryotic organisms, and say they arose billions of years ago,

then that might support the idea that the move from prokaryotic to eukaryotic life is

the great filter that might make intelligent life in the universe extremely rare.

Conversely if we drilled into Europa and found more than that, say we found jellyfish like

creatures, or some analogue of tube worms hanging around thermal vents, and all of it

is absolutely unrelated to life on earth, then we know that complexity of life in the

universe would probably not be rare and in that case, intelligence also may not be rare.

Of course, at the rate we're exploring Europa, SETI may well find a radio signal that preemptively

answers that question for us.

But Europa is only the strongest possibility for aquatic life.

There are many other places in the solar system where liquid water seems possible.

This list grows, and with the exploration of Pluto revealing that it probably has a

liquid water ocean under its surface, that opens up the possibility that other objects

like Pluto in the Kuiper Belt may also have oceans, conceivably allowing for scores of

possible places where life might existing within our own solar system.

But another strong candidate on the list, Saturn's moon Enceladus, has given us yet

another clue that it has all of the ingredients needed for life to arise there.

Enceladus has an interesting feature.

Instead of being locked up completely under the ice, cracks in the ice allow water from

the ocean below to spew into space which makes for convenient study of what might be in the

ocean below.

In a study done by researchers at Heidelberg University, link below, they detail the detection

of complex organic molecules in Enceladus' plumes by the now destroyed Cassini spacecraft.

And it wasn't just trace amounts of organics, the plumes contained significant quantities,

so much that an initial mission to drill into the moon itself and detect life may not even

be necessary with everything spewing out of the moon and into space opening the way for

easier study.

But, since Cassini's instruments were never designed to detect complex organic molecules,

the knowledge is limited and there is no smoking gun for life on Enceladus, just its building

blocks.

But add that with recent evidence of nutrients in the waters of Enceladus that could be used

as food for microbes as well as evidence of hydrothermal vents at the bottom of the ocean,

the evidence builds that Enceladus is ripe for life either to have arisen already, or

to arise in the future, depending on how long that takes on a moon thought to be relatively

young.

Tantalizingly however, while the organics that they did detect are not necessarily an

indicator of life, merely some of the materials that life uses that could be abiotic products

of the environment around the hydrothermal vents, those same organics also would be present

in the biological remains of microbial life.

Who knows what Cassini detected.

You've probably already seen me making people's homes and apartments beautiful,

but something I don't often talk about is how to stay in love with your home

once you're past the honeymoon period.

So, if you're looking at buying, here are some essential things you need to know.

When we're purchasing a property, we tend to let our heart rule our head,

and we have to fall in love with our property,

but it's also important to look at the budget, not just as the purcase price,

but what you have to spend in the future.

This is where a bit of pre-planning comes into play when you're purchasing a property.

It's so important to get the relevant reports before you sign on the dotted line.

Your pest inspection, your building inspection, your survey.

The money that you spend right at the beginning means money saved later on,

when you pick up the mistakes.

Think of these reports as an essential investment.

The building report is all about checking those elements

to make sure that it's got the gas, the electricity and it's structurally sound.

But all the things that you want personally in that house,

it's up to you to double check.

On your building report, it will say, 'electricity is connected',

but you need to find how long ago it was actually wired.

If something isn't earthed or it has to be rewired, it could cost you up to $20,000.

Even more, depending on the size of the house.

Building reports are usually only a few hundred dollars, so it actually is an investment,

which means you can use it as a bargaining chip, if there's something wrong, to get a better price,

or it might actually tell you to walk away from the property, because it's just too hard to fix.

A pest inspection is so important, because mostly they're looking for termites.

The hardest thing about termites is they work from the inside, out.

You can actually look at a building and think it's structurally sound,

and if you poke your finger in a weatherboard your hand might go right through it.

Or sometimes the frames look solid, but they're actually about to fall down.

So, it's really important to see at what stage the termites are at,

so really it is important to get it done because you actually buy a house you fall in love with,

and it could fall down tomorrow.

Don't think you're safe if you're buying a new build and it has a conrete floor and bricks,

if there is timber framing in there, you can still be susceptible.

It depends on the moisture in the air and the area that you live in.

As well as finding a place in the right location, if it's a 'forever' home or investment,

it's so important to do your due diligence and get these checks done.

What you do afterwards is up to you,

but when it comes to the property game, when you're forewarned, you're forearmed.

Coaching is about increasing self-awareness. When we know who we are, life

becomes easier. Our relationships become healthier, because we can express our

emotional needs and also set our boundaries. Another aim of coaching is to

increase emotional resilience. Fear of rejection, for example, can be paralysing.

It can prevent us from applying for a job we really want, or from asking

someone out on a date. We all have emotional and psychological

blocks and they usually manifest in the body. Which is why in my practice I place

a strong emphasis on the mind-body connection. A major cause of unhappiness

in life is internalised shame; toxic shame. Which is different from guilt.

Guilt is the feeling we might have done something wrong whereas toxic shame is

the feeling that there is something wrong with who we are. So we create

these beliefs about ourselves: that we're not clever enough. Not attractive enough.

That we're a failure. Or unlovable. Basically that we're not enough. And we compensate

for these beliefs in various more or less self-destructive ways: by overeating,

overachieving, compulsive shopping and other behaviours, and of course alcohol

and drug abuse. Coaching can help you let go of these self-defeating thoughts and become

Salma Hayek is a Mexican American actress born to Spanish-Lebanese parents and belongs

to a wealthy Roman Catholic family from Mexico.

As a child, she was inspired to become an actress after watching the movie, 'Willy

Wonka & the Chocolate Factory'.

She felt ready to step into the world of movies after attending Mexico City's Universidad

Iberoamericana.

Her first assignment as an actress was in the Mexican telenovela, 'Teresa'.

After coming to Hollywood she was cast opposite Antonio Banderas in the movie 'Desperado'.

It was followed by roles in 'Fools Rush In' and 'Wild Wild West' among others.

She reprised her role from 'Desperado' in 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' and later

started her own production company called 'Ventanarosa'.

Her first production was the Mexican movie 'El Coronel No Tiene Quien Le Escriba',

which was Mexico's official entry at the Oscars in the 'Best Foreign Film' category.

She was also the executive producer of 'Ugly Betty'.

A guest role in the series as Sofia Reyes won her a nomination for 'Outstanding Guest

Actress in a Comedy Series', at the 59thPrimetime Emmy Awards.

She has endorsed products like Revlon and Avon and has launched her own line of cosmetics,

skincare and hair care products called 'Nuance'.

She has lent her support to raise funds for vaccines against maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Salma Hayek was born on September 2, 1966, to Diana Jiménez Medina, an opera singer,

and Sami Hayek Dominguez, a well-to-do businessman.

Salma Hayek was raised in a wealthy Roman Catholic family in Mexico.

At the age of 12, she went to the US to study in the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Louisiana.

Salma Hayek returned to Mexico to study International Relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana.

It was then that she decided to pursue acting seriously.

The 2003 movie 'The Maldonado Miracle', produced and directed by Hayek, won her a

Salma Hayek and Pinault announced the end of their engagement in 2008 but later reconciled

and married on Valentine's Day, the next year.

They married a second time in Venice.
