Safety glasses are essential workplace specific glasses that offer superior impact resistance

and meet higher safety standards than everyday glasses.

Since we only have one pair of eyes, it is of paramount importance that we protect them!

Regular glasses and sunglasses might protect our eyes from UV, dust and dirt particles,

but do little to protect us from flying objects in the workplace.

Hence, the need for safety glasses!

Safety frames and lenses are made from impact resistant materials.

They are specifically designed to protect against eye injuries and are tested to meet

or exceed the strictest ASTM F803 standards.

Also, safety frames are fit with lens materials - such as polycarbonate, trivex or airwear

- that ensure the lenses are shatterproof.

Since we tend to be more active and have a higher body temperature when wearing these

glasses, it makes lenses treated with an anti-fog coating essential.

Lastly, safety glasses come in many different shapes and styles!

In fact, some are designed specifically for certain workplace activities.

Overall, these glasses typically have more wrap and provide you with a closer frame fit,

to meet the ASTM F801 standards.

Fortunately for you, many employers cover the cost for you to purchase safety glasses.

Comic-Con: Here Are All of the Big TV Trailers You Need to Know About | THR News - Duration: 3:41.

Hundreds of thousands of movie & TV fans flocked to San Diego for Comic-Con 2018

over the weekend. And with nearly 90 television shows paneling at the convention, the race was on

to see what footage wowed the crowd — and which fell flat. Here some of the biggest TV trailers

that debuted at Comic-Con 2018.

First up, let's start with AMC's The Walking Dead. Season nine of the long-running zombie drama

premieres on October 7, featuring a jump forward in time following the conclusion of season eight's "

All-Out War." Expect several key changes to the series when it returns,

including the departure of Andrew Lincoln (aka Rick Grimes),

whose exit was confirmed at the convention.

Fellow AMC show Better Call Saul used its first-ever Comic-Con panel to promote its upcoming

fourth season, which will introduce the character of Lalo, who was referenced

but never seen on Breaking Bad.

Meanwhile, AMC's Preacher is halfway through its third season, but judging from this look ahead

at the remaining episodes, there's plenty more madness yet to come.

As part of Jodie Whittaker's introduction as Doctor Who's first female Doctor,

the actress unveiled the official trailer that shows her Thirteenth Doctor alongside

her new companions. The new season debuts in the fall.

CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery also released footage at the con.

Showrunner Alex Kurtzman says fans will see Spock in season two, and the teaser released

at the festival leans strongly in that direction.

Over on The CW, the DC comics inspired shows Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash

and Supergirl also all debuted first looks at their upcoming new seasons.

And the CW longest-running drama Supernatural came armed with new footage and news

that the stars of its female-led spinoff, Wayward Sisters, would return to the flagship show.

Meanwhile, Riverdale offered the first real details of season three

of the Archie Comics-inspired drama.

Fox shows The Orville and The Gifted also used the fan fest to unspool trailers

for their upcoming season.

Sons of Anarchy spinoff Mayans M.C. didn't even wait until its Sunday panel to release

its first trailer. The drama debuts Tuesday, September 4, on FX.

And Amazon released the trailer for Homecoming. Based on the narrative podcast

of the same name, the show stars Julia Roberts (in her first series-regular role) as a case worker

helping veterans and holding onto a dark secret. The psychological thriller premieres November 2.

To watch all the TV trailers that dropped at Comic-Con 2018, including those for The Lore,

Fear the Walking Dead, Vikings, Titans, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and more, head to THR.com.

And be sure to let me know which trailer was your favorite in the comments.

Until next time, for The Hollywood Reporter News, I'm Tiffany Taylor.

and what that would do so we're now are getting the waves

and the true wind from here, we're doing about nine knots

so the apparent wind is coming up over here.

If we were to head dead down wind,

the apparent wind would drop down so low that

it would be going quite slowly or slower.

With the spinakit, we'd be out ahead dead down wind

and for those passages that we've been doing like the

Atlantic crossing or if we ever go to do the Pacific again,

you can head like dead downwind which means you get this

swell directly behind ya and it just pushes you along

and it just makes for an infinitely more comfortable trip.

And if we get a smaller and thicker material one,

we won't be going quite so fast but it's more cruising.

Like you can leave it up in stronger winds

and not have to worry about it so you could leave it

up in the middle of the night and know that's it's not

gonna tear at the first sniff of a squall.

Who Else Wants 24 Fuel Injectors? | Holley EFI [TECH TALK] - Duration: 9:01.

- There's a huge range of options out there in the market for reflashing

or retuning the factory ECUs in a lot of the late model GM product.

However at some point when we're starting to look at more advanced

packages, maybe for drag specific applications, maybe the addition of

turbochargers, superchargers, or multi stage nitrous,

the factory PCM or ECU can become a limiting factor.

So we're here to talk to Tom from Holley EFI about their Dominator

and HP range of ECUs and some of the advanced functionality.

So particularly when we are moving to some of these more sophisticated

engine packages, some of the control functionality in the Holley EFI range

becomes really critical.

Let's start by talking about boost control which is obviously so critical

for turbocharged vehicles so what do Holley offer there?

- So with boost control options, you utilise the HP ECU,

and you can also utilise the Dominator.

My general recommendation, anybody that's gonna use any type of a power adder

** we go with the Dominator ECU, because of its expanded input

output capabilities.

We got a fully functional boost controller that's built into the system,

they can run single port and dual port wastegates with multiple pressure

input controls be it compressor pressure, measured, fixed,

we can do boost versus time, boost versus RPM, boost versus speed,

and manual boost.

We got boost builder functionality that's tied into the system,

we can program fixed fuel, fixed timing, even nitrous activation

in with the system.

And then beyond the basic boost control you can get into our advanced ICF tables

which allows you to do eight one axis tables, eight two axis,

eight one axis per gear and eight two axis per gear tables to control

a lot of things including boost modulation and offsets that you can base off of

any axis that you wanna utilise including any custom input.

So it gives you a really broad spectrum boost control.

It really has a lot of capabilities, combined that really doesn't exist

with many systems on the market today.

- OK obviously a very complete system there.

Just so our viewers can get a little bit of an idea of maybe how some of those

additional tables could be used, could you give us an example

of a typical application there maybe?

- As far as using the advanced tables, you can have your basic boost controls,

maybe you're doing boost versus time, you're doing boost versus speed.

When you get into the advanced tables it allows you to do some offset.

So we've got some boost scramble features that are built into it where you can just

simply hit a button and increase or decrease.

But you can get into the multiple tables that actually potentially allow you

to put in a variable knob where you can adjust,

maybe you get out there and the track's a little bit greasy, something's going on,

you wanna increase or decrease your amount of boost.

You maybe will do something based on slew rates between front and rear

wheel speed basically for slip and other things.

To do boost offsets, modulation, even speed the car or slow the car down

as a general example.

- So essentially there it sounds like the flexibility with the system,

you could basically do just about anything you want based on what

you're trying to achieve, how much traction you've got and how smart

you wanna be with those additional tables?

- Correct I always tell people you can make the Holley system as simple

or as complex as you want.

With the advanced tables that we give you and the custom input and output logic,

the folks that can think outside the box can really utilise it.

Within reason if you can think it, with the Holley system,

you can pretty much control it.

- I think that's so important particularly for those customers who are making

a lot of power and are into drag racing, obviously maximising or optimising

the power delivery to the amount of traction on the track is really the key

to getting down the track with a fast ET or quick ET.

And the other thing we see the popularity now of these no prep events where

traction is really limited so trying to get that boost control dialled in

is so critical.

Now just, let's talk about maybe the case where you didn't quite have it right

and the car does end up with wheel spin.

With the traction control through the Holley EFI system, what flexibility

have we got there to control that wheel spin and bring the car back

and get grip again?

- So there's a lot of things you can do, there's a lot of ways that you can

manage torque outside of traction control.

If you're going to use our traction control **

we actually partnered with ** Davis at Davis Traction Technologies.

And we have capability of working in conjunction with his TC1 and TC2

boxes designed for Holley EFI and his profiler.

So we'll utilise their traction control and inputs into the Holley system.

At that point you'll be able to utilise the TC1 and TC2 to offset timing,

drive by wire throttle reduction or drive by wire controls.

Nitrous offsets, boost offsets, as well as your restore aids through the system.

- So just for those who aren't familiar, that profiler system where we're looking

there at matching essentially the wheel speed versus time to what could be

considered an ideal run.

So if the wheel speed ends up exceeding that profile that you've set,

that indicates to the ECU that the car is in wheel spin?

- Correct and it'll allow it to manage torque by doing power reduction.

- Now also you've mentioned nitrous there, can you tell us about the nitrous control

functionality, obviously when it comes to nitrous we've got options of wet

systems where both the nitrous and additional fuel is injected through

the nitrous nozzle.

There's also options of a dry system where the ECU then has to do some

of the hard work of injecting additional fuel as well as controlling the timing.

What options have we got there with the Holley system.

- So the HP system you can program up to four stages of wet or dry

progressive nitrous but again you are limited to four inputs and four outputs.

When you're getting into the Dominator systems and again one of the reasons

I recommend a Dominator with a power adder, because you have the additional

inputs and outputs, the Holley system actually allows the end user to control

up to eight stages of wet or dry progressive nitrous controls.

- So with the dry system then the ECU will have I'm guessing adjustable

tables for the additional fuel supply as well when those stages are active?

- Correct, so you'll have a multi axis table on your nitrous versus your

fuel enrichment that you'll be able to do.

I really recommend using, if you're utilising the Holley EFI,

to go with a dry system.

It's cleaner, it reduces complexity, and a lot of the times when we have

somebody that's going from carburettor to EFI that has an existing single

stage kit, maybe they wanna go dual stage, one of the things a lot of people don't

think about is there's no reason why you can't take your fuel side,

change your solenoids that you're jetting and actually take that single stage

nozzle on a single stage plate and simply do a two stage system with it.

- Yeah that makes a lot of sense really, if you've got that sort of system

and wanna get a little bit more power out of it.

OK so now moving on beyond that as well, a lot of the cars we're seeing now,

they're making more and more power and that obviously requires additional

fuel and we're getting to a point where supplying enough fuel for some of these

really high horsepower cars, 1500, 2000 horsepower,

that's gonna become problematic with a single injector.

The injector's going to have to be so big that you won't be able to make the car

idle, it won't be able to cruise and achieve good air fuel ratios.

So how can we deal with that with the Holley system?

- The Dominator system actually has the ability to run up to 24 fuel injectors.

So you can run three injector sets as well as staging and programmability.

We're gonna have some additional features with that that add some more,

I don't wanna say complexity, but flexibility,

guys are utilising multiple injector sets.

Coming out here in the first part of 2018.

- Now on top of that, once the car's actually gone down the strip,

and I'm just going to use drag racing for an example here but I mean

any high power car, we really wanna know what actually has gone on

while we've been driving the car.

So what have we got in the way of options for analysing the data from a run?

- So the HP and the Dominator system both have internal data logging capabilities.

You can program the data logging up to ** so up to 100 hertz.

One of the things that's nice about the Holley system compared to a lot of

others in the market is that the Holley system actually data logs everything.

Every factory input or output as well as any custom input output you create,

but then you can go in and you can customise the view, you can select

what data you wanna look at, you can adjust filtering, min max rates,

scaling, you can split panes and panels up.

We give you the ability to do active overlays on your run,

Here's What I Think About the Honda S2000 and More - Duration: 3:04.

rev up your engines, Burak Mueslu, Scotty hope you're doing

well, yeah you can see my voice is almost normal, my cold is going away, I want to

buy an AP2 Honda s2000 as a fun weekend car, and a car I can practice

working on because it seems pretty mechanically simple, any thoughts, yes

those are fantastic cars, I don't know why they stopped making them

but those s2000 were really fun and they're really fast, I mean a stock one

it's not even turbocharged or anything, and it put out as much power as a

Porsche, so they are excellent engines and if you can get one that's in decent

shape, you can learn how to work on it because it's not a super super complex

car and they really are well made engines, like I said Honda was

originally a motorcycle company, they made really good engines, and that could

be a fun car, resale value starting to go up on those things it just is,

but don't overpay, but they can be really fun cars driving and you can learn

how to work on that, Cameron D says, hi Scotty I got an 03

Pontiac Vibe and it is over three hundred thousand kilometers with the original

ignition coils that still work, so do you recommend replacing them as preventative

maintenance with a spark plug change, well I'd change the spark plugs but I

wouldn't worry about it, you know that's basically a Toyota, and those are really

good parts and if it runs perfectly fine now, I wouldn't even worry about it

because if they do go bad, it misfire it'll trip codes for misfire and it'll

say like, misfire cylinder number three, now if it gets to a point that you are

getting misfires, change all the ignition coils, but buy quality ones, just don't go

on eBay and buy the cheapest ones made in China

because I've had customers do it and in the past I tried to save my own customers

and at the auto parts stores I bought the cheaper Chinese ones and it bit me in

the rear end, and they broke down within a few months or a year, and then I had to

replace them again, so you'll want to get quality ignition coils when you buy them,

you don't want to just go out buy the

absolute cheapest ones you can get your hands on that's a mistake,

John says, Scotty I got a 2017 Toyota Tacoma and every time I take

an off road there's an occasional grinding noises coming from the rear differential

what's the deal, okay well it's pretty new vehicle, but you're taking it off

road and of course that's gonna void all the warranties, I wouldn't tell anyone

are you taking it off-road, I have a video called, how to find noises in your

car, watch it, I have a device that has a bunch of different sensors on them, there's

like five of them and their little broadcasting stations, you can put them

all over the place, then you wear headphones, plug it in to the receiving

unit, and then you drive around and you can switch it to all the different ones,

one, two, three, four, five, and you have one

on the differential, if it makes noise then you know it is coming from the

differential, I wouldn't tell them you're taking an off-road, take it in and say my

differential is making a noise and see if they'll do anything under

warranty.

but don't tell them you're taking it off-road, so if you never want

to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to ring that Bell!

• Here's Why Battlefield 4 Will Outlast Battlefield 1 | Reason Behind the Success - Battlefield 4 - Duration: 4:58.

So Battlefield 4 is still doing extremely well for itself, despite the fact that it's

going to be 5 years old this October.

Battlefield V is also going to launch roughly around the same time, making Battlefield 4

one of the longest living games within the franchise we have ever played.

In fact, I believe Battlefield 4 has done so well for itself that the only time players

will move on, is when the servers are no longer available.

With the current amount of people still playing, I don't think DICE has even considered the

possibility of switching them off.

With that said, I believe Battlefield 4 will outlast Battlefield 1 by a good few years.

In fact the proof is already there.

We are seeing more and more players move away from the current game and back to what many

may consider the true Battlefield experience.

In fact Battlefield 4 has been doing this ever since Battlefield Hardline released.

There hasn't been a single game quite like it since it was fixed a few years ago.

Now we all know Battlefield 4 had a terrible release, leading to one of the most controversial

moments in gaming history.

This game alone made EA the worst company in America, on multiple occasions.

Now that's probably an overstatement, but there's no doubt in my mind that if Battlefield

4 didn't release like it did, we wouldn't have the current experience we have today.

Battlefield 4's bad release was exactly what DICE needed in order to get their act

together.

So what does Battlefield 4 achieve that Battlefield 1 can't?

Well the general replay ability of the game is more rewarding.

Playing Battlefield 1 is a great experience, but once you've unlocked all the weapons,

there's not much reason to come back unless you truly like the gameplay.

Once you've unlocked all the weapons in Battlefield 4, there are more things to go

for than a service star for each weapon because now you can unlock a wide range of attachments,

allowing the gun to feel customized to your play style.

Don't get me wrong, both games make use of a sub par progression system, but games

like Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 made that progression just a little easier due

to the added variety to work for.

Obviously this comes down to the setting DICE decided to use for each of those games, unfortunately

Battlefield 1 went too far back that attachments that we see in modern day shooters just weren't

available at that time.

It was ultimately a risk that paid off fairly well.

The only competition Battlefield 1 had was Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.

A lot of those Call of Duty fans were tired of the constant futuristic setting, so they

came over to experience something different.

That's why Battlefield 1 saw such high sales numbers.

It was a great marketing strategy because DICE was actually listening to their customers,

whereas the developers of Call of Duty were far too comfortable in their current situation.

Battlefield players are no longer comparing their game to what sledgehammer or Treyarch

have to offer because they know they are getting the best possible experience they are looking

for.

The big question now comes down to which game within the franchise is going to scratch that

theoretical itch they personally need.

It is such a great time to be a Battlefield fan because we have the option to choose what

we would like to play rather than sticking with the current game.

Battlefield 4 is that game many people would much rather play due to it being set in a

modern day era where players can pilot a little bird, warthogs, etc.

We are living in that day and age that makes Battlefield 4 so relevant, even though its

5 years old.

Anyway, that's my discussion between Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 4.

I personally believe Battlefield 4 is going to outlast Battlefield 1 by a good few years,

just by its current setting.

It's just far more relevant even though Battlefield 1 is trying to teach you about

history, but let me know in the comments below how you feel about this.

Do you believe Battlefield 4 is going to outlast Battlefield 1, and if not, tell me why?

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this video, smash that like button if you did and hopefully

I'll see you in the next one.

MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN - 30 Second Movie Review - Duration: 2:00.

Featuring toe tapping tunes belted out by its capable cast in lush and lively locations,

Mamma Mia, Here we go again, takes all these promising elements and stretches them out

into 2 hours of forced dance numbers and cheesy, underwritten romantic comedy, guiding its

cartoonish characters into admittedly catchy yet disappointingly pointless singalongs,

that feel as out of place as a 24 year old Half-Asian man in a session of a Mamma Mia

sequel.

If you like Abba, they're on spotify, if you like the cast, they've done plenty of

other work, but if you like films that exist for reasons other than money money money,

then don't take

a chance, on

Mamma Mia.

Here's Why MEGHAN And Prince Harry Are Likely To Have Twins Or Even Triplets - Duration: 5:07.

Since the wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Royals fans have been eagerly waiting

for another announcement from the happy couple.

And with the pair already expressing a desire to have children 'in the near future' we may

not have too long to wait.

A new report from The Sun suggests the young Royals' family may expand faster than even

they imagined, as Meghan is more likely to have twins or even triplets.

Helen Turier of the Twins and Multiple Births Association attributes this likelihood to

Meghan's age at nearly 37 years old.

'Older woman, so women in their late thirties, early forties, are more likely to hyper-ovulate,'

Turier explained.

'This means they're more likely to release two eggs or more per cycle than younger women.

Therefore it is believed that's why there's a higher incidence of multiple birth babies

in older women.'

She continued: 'As far as we understand, it's due to changing levels of hormones.'

Turier told The Sun that Meghan's chances of multiples are equally high if she uses

IVF to get pregnant.

'If you have one fertilized embryo put back, in some cases that can split into two identical

monochorionic, monozygotic twins, which is why you have one embryo put back and end up

with twins,' she said.

'In the UK we have quite strict rules — you either have one embryo put back, and in some

circumstances you're allowed two, and one of those may split and become two, so you

can have two put back and end up with three.

'Whereas overseas there is no limit, which is why we get women who have had fertility

treatment abroad come back pregnant with triplets or quads.'

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle children.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spoken openly about their desire to have children,

but the couple doesn't seem to be in any rush.

Speaking with the BBC after their engagement, Prince Harry said they didn't 'currently'

have plans to have children, but was hopeful for the future.

'Of course, one step at a time and hopefully we'll start a family in the near future,'

he said at the time.

This is a stark contrast from a previous interview Prince Harry gave in 2016, a month before

he met Meghan.

At the time he told People: 'There have been moments through life, especially when

we do a tour abroad, when I think, "I'd love to have kids now".

'And then there are other times when I bury my head in the sand going, "All right, don't

need kids!"

There's no rush.

There's been times I've been put off having children.'

Royal pregnancy rules.

As with all things, Meghan Markle will have strict Royal rules to follow if she does get

pregnant.

The rules cover everything, from gender reveals to baby showers and travel restrictions.

No travel abroad.

Pregnant Royals are discouraged from traveling abroad, The Sun reported.

If they must do so, they're asked to keep it to a minimum.

This rule stems from an interest in the safety of both the expectant mother and the child.

Most Royal ladies attend engagements up until the end of their pregnancy, but they're

encouraged not to get too far from home where emergency help is readily available.

No gender reveals.

According to The Sun, Royal women must keep the gender of their unborn children a secret

until they announce his or her birth.

In fact, most of the time the parents-to-be don't find out until the child is born.

No baby showers.

Royal moms reportedly don't get to celebrate their impending bundles of joy with baby showers.

The tradition is viewed as inappropriate since members of the Royal family would have no

problem purchasing anything they may need.

Multiple midwives are involved in births.

It's long been tradition for expectant Royals to give birth at home, however, as times change

so too has that rule.

Princess Diana gave birth to Prince William in the Lindo wing at St Mary's Hospital

in London and Kate Middleton has had all three of her children there.

Meghan is likely to follow suit and she'll have an army of caretakers around her.

Kate is said to have had three midwives on hand for Princess Charlotte's birth and

it stands to reason that Meghan would get similar treatment.

The Queen must be alerted of the baby's birth first.

After Meghan and Prince Harry's child is born, they must alert the Queen before anyone

else.

This rule is dictated by Royal protocol.

After she's been told, other family members and the public can hear the exciting news.

The child should have four names.

Most members of the Royal family are given four names at birth.

Prince Harry, for example, is Henry Charles Albert David.

Similarly, his niece and nephews are Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, Prince George Alexander

Louis and Prince Louis Arthur Charles.

Meghan and Prince Harry will be expected to continue this tradition.

Prince Louis Is 3 Months Old! Here's Every Sweet Detail We Know About the Littlest Royal (So Far!) - Duration: 3:47.

He's only 3 months old, but we've already heard quite a bit about Prince Louis. Here is everything we know about the newborn royal so far

It's a very patriotic birthday, as it's also St. George's Day — England's national day

All three of his names are a nod to family members. That's more than either Prince George or Princess Charlotte weighed when they were born

Prince Louis The hospital, located in London's Paddington neighborhood, is where both his siblings were born as well as his dad

And mom Kate Middleton was nothing short of unbelievable when she stepped out holding little Louis just seven hours after giving birth

That's after grandpa Prince Charles, dad Prince William, big brother Prince George and big sister Princess Charlotte

Not only is it one of his dad's middle names, it's also a nod to Louis Mountbatten, Prince Louis's great-grandpa Prince Philip's uncle, who was a father figure for Charles and was assassinated in 1979

Arthur is one of William and Charles's middle names, while Charles, of course, is his grandpa's name

The list includes aunt Pippa Middleton (who is currently expecting her first child with husband James Matthews), uncle James Middleton, grandma Carole Middleton, and his father's cousin, Princess Eugenie

Other royal visitors? Queen Elizabeth, Grandpa Charles and uncle Prince Harry and aunt Meghan Markle, who also live in Kensington Palace

That's likely so they could introduce Charles to his new grandson in person. That's according to dad William, who said that Louis was "behaving himself" at an Anzac Day service

However, William was also caught nodding off during that same service! Like Louis Tomlinson, who tweeted that he'll take his fellow Louis "under my wing

" He also got a hello from former First Lady Michelle Obama, who tweeted that she can't wait for their "Kensington Palace pajama party

" While his older siblings George and Charlotte served in Harry and Meghan's bridal party, little Louis stayed home during the festivities, while mom Kate made her first official post-baby debut

He was totally undisturbed when his mom carried him into the Chapel Royal at St

James's Palace on July 9 and napped in her arms even as greeted Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, who led the ceremony

"Let's hope he stays like this!" Princess Kate told him.  In one of his christening portraits, Charlotte devotes all her attention to Prince Louis, holding his hand and staring at him in awe — definitely a sweet moment for the family's biggest show-stealer!  Little Louis's gummy grin was the best part of the last official christening portrait shared with the public

In fact, it was so sweet that Will and Kate decided to release it, even though it was taken only for the family to see

New 'mini Ikea' stores to open across the UK this autumn - here's where - Daily News - Duration: 3:36.

</form> Ikea is to launch smaller stores on British high streets in a world first, the Swedish company has revealed

The move is a welcome boost to city centres as the furniture firm outlined plans for a raft of "more personal" stores across the UK over the next three years

It's first mini-Ikea will open in central London this autumn with a "capsule collection" of furniture and fittings

But there won't be room for restaurants serving the famous meatballs. The retailer said the new-look stores would offer a "tailored service" for families planning dream kitchens and bedrooms on a budget

Ikea's retail manager Javier Quinones said, "The opening of this new city-centre shop marks an exciting development for the Ikea business as we continue to innovate and transform to better meet the needs of our customers

"  The project is a boost to the Mirror's High Street Fightback campaign as it could take over premises left empty by firms which have gone, such as Poundworld and Maplin

Mr Quinones said: "We know that by 2050, 70% of people will be living in cities

Our city centre approach is just the beginning of a new period of transformation for us as a business as we respond to the many exciting opportunities in the fast-changing retail environment

"  And Jane Bisset Ikea London city centre market leader added: "The Tottenham Court Road shop will give Londoners a relaxed and professional experience in which to plan more complex or large-scale projects in the home, with the expertise and specialist support of Ikea co-workers

"  Mr Quinones also unveiled plans for a 24 hour delivery service to cope with online demand and competition from sites like Amazon

"It's not that we have to change because otherwise we will not exist tomorrow," he said

"But if we do not do the transformation then in the long run we will not exist.  "By launching this new approach and investing in our online offer and services, we are working to ensure Ikea remains affordable, convenient and sustainable, both now and in the future

"  But the bad news for Ikea meatball fans is the Swedish staple is off the menu as the smaller stores will not have room for a restaurant

The chain, which first opened its doors in the UK in Warrington in 1987 has 21 stores and is planning another in Greenwich, south east London next year but has axed plans for a megastore in Preston
