The Duchess of Cambridge is set to miss one very important match at Wimbledon this year.

Kate, a lifelong tennis fan, often shows her support to Andy Murray and has even watched

him play at the men's final.

However, it was announced on Sunday evening that the former world number one has withdrawn

from the tournament, citing it was "too soon" to play five-set matches after his comeback

from hip surgery.

Andy, who won Wimbledon in 2013 and 2016, played at Queen's last month after taking

almost a year out of playing due to his injury.

Last year marked Kate's first visit to Wimbledon as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet

Club - a patronage she took over from the Queen in 2016.

The 36-year-old is a regular fixture in the royal box throughout Wimbledon.

She usually attends at least one day of the summer tournament, and along with Prince William,

she is often a guest of honour at the men's singles final match.

She will no doubt be backing family friend Roger Federer in this year's championship.

The 36-year-old player was even a guest at Kate's sister Pippa Middleton's wedding in

May 2017.

Kate has previously revealed that her mother, Carole Middleton, has a secret crush on tennis

star Roger.

Appearing in the BBC documentary, Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon last year, the mum-of-three

opened up about her love of tennis.

"

I have watched Wimbledon, that was very much part of my growing up.

It's such a quintessential part of the English summer, and I think it really inspires youngsters,

myself, it inspired me, when I was younger to get involved in the game.

In 2013, Kate was forced to skip the men's singles final match when she was pregnant

with Prince George.

She asked her doctor if she could go but he told her "definitely not".

"I was very heavily pregnant with George so I wasn't able to turn up," said Kate.

"I wrote to [Andy Murray] afterwards saying sorry for not being there but huge congratulations."

The Duchess of Cambridge and her sister Pippa Middleton, both keen tennis fans, have led

the way in the style stakes for several years.

The Duchess often opting for a bold shift dress, ranging from polka dot prints to eye-catching

block colours.

And, the Duchess wouldn't be the only royal who has aced tennis attire over the years.

Princess Diana was also a fan of the event, often donning smart tailored blazers on her

visits to SW19.

Here's the Best Places to Buy Cheap Tools on a Budget - Duration: 6:44.

rev up your engines, today I'm continuing my never-ending search for

ways you can save money fixing your car, by showing you how to save money buying

car repair tools, now I've been fixing cars for the last 50 years and if I had

bought all the tools I got crammed under this garage brand-new, I'd have over a

quarter of a million dollars of money out of my pocket, but yes, Scotty is cheap

I didn't spend but a fraction of that money buying these tools, because I got a

lot of them used, I didn't have much money when I was a young mechanic, heck

people were making a dollar 25 cents an hour back, then so I bought a lot of used

tools, and that found out one thing about tools very early, brand-new tools can

cost an awful lot of money, but if you're hard for cash and need some quick money

and try to sell your tools, most tools have very low resale value, so take

advantage of that yourself, and here's a perfect example of it lurking in the

back of my garage, my old air compressor I paid $90 for this used from a pawn

shop over 35 years ago,

hey it still works like a charm, it's a professional-grade compressor, 35 years

I've had it still works great, and say you don't want to buy a used compressor

you can get a new one pretty cheap these days, now I bought this backup compressor

for about one hundred and twenty dollars on sale brand-new from harbor freight

tools, granted it's not the quality of my compressor that's the professional one

that I bought in a pawn shop years ago, it's my backup, and if you're not a

professional mechanic like me and just doing your own stuff, one of those

compressors can be perfectly good for one guy running air tools, but really my

old professional one it's so good even though I bought it used and had it for

35 years, I never had to use the back of one yet when I was working, because the old

one hasn't broken yet, so taking a trip to the local pawn shop, hey that can save

you a bunch of money, they have many tools, you can pick through them, and

realize one thing about pawn shops, bartering still exists in that world

just because it's got a price of a hundred bucks, you can barter them down

in almost every single case, because you're paying cash generally and cash

rules, sure sometimes you got to walk out of the store and then they'll say, oh

come back we'll sell to you for this much less, but it's kind of a fun thing

to do I like bartering when it comes to buying stuff myself, learned it from a

grandfather, but here's one warning when you go to a

pawn shop, if you see tools that are actually brand new tools, you want to

check out what the make is, do little research on their quality, because a lot of

them these days just buy the really cheap Asian tools and then sell them

they're not a pawn shop deal, they're just being a seller of cheap tools there

nobody pawned the cheap tools, they just bought them from China and are trying to

sell them, and believe me you don't want to buy the cheapest tools possible in

terms of quality, my knuckles are still in good shape, because I buy quality hand

tools, I don't want them breaking when I'm pulling on stuff, so be really leery

about cheap brand new tools in a package, a lot of times they're just poorly made

you don't want to buy those, I used to buy Sears Craftsman tools, they were

decent tools, this ratchet it had a lifetime guarantee

this is like the eighth one I've had in the last 45 years, they just kept

replacing them, but unfortunately the store used to go too is gone now, they

shut it down, so maybe craftsman isn't such a good idea anymore, in that case

you might switch to Duralast tools from autozone, look at that guaranteed for

life, they got the same thing and it doesn't look like the Auto Zones are

going to be disappearing anytime soon, and it's always good idea to have a store

somewhere near you that sells tools that you use all the time in case you either

break tools or lose it in the middle of a job, so you can just zoom down a street

get another one to come back and fix it, rather than wait weeks for it to come in

the mail, now you really can't fix any modern car without a decent scan tool, so

I'm going to show you how you can save money buying a scan tool, now there's

zillions of scan tools out there, but you have to decide how much money you want

to spend, and how far you want to go analyzing stuff, for example this

creator, hey it's less than 50 bucks, it does live data, it does trouble codes or

erasing stuff, it does some pretty basic stuff and for 50 bucks that does a

decent job, but if you're really serious about fixing your car, this Actron auto

scanner Plus does a really good job, now I paid 250 bucks for this one it was new

and I use it all the time as a professional mechanic, because it's so

fast it's much faster than my giant machines that have to be set up, and I

can often fix the problem with this tiny little thing, so if you can find one used

great or even better get together with your friends. say you got five friends

you eat you only have to fork out 50 bucks. and you get one of these top-notch

scan tools. hey since they fit every car sold in the United States since 1996. you

can use them on all kinds of cars. you're not a professional mechanic. you don't

need it all the time. so you can share it amongst friends. now if you're going to work

on your car you need a good jack, but don't try to say too much money

just buying a cheap little Jack, I mean this little Jack was like $40 at a

discount auto parts store, but I bought this gigantic one at Harbor Freight

tools and it cost me 69 bucks when it was on sale, and I know people are going to

say, Oh Scotty you buy tools at Harbor Freight tools, they sell a lot of junky

tools, well yeah some of their tools are junky and

cheap, I'm not going to argue with that, but some of them are reasonable quality, as

with any tool you want to do a little research, for example I bought a cheap

electric saw from harbor freight tools, the thing broke within a year, it was a pile

of junk, so I went to a pawn shop I bought a Dewalt, I did some research

good tools, it worked great, saved money buying it used but I bought a quality

one, I didn't buy another new cheap one because the new cheap ones are exactly that

they're new but they're cheap, so there's actually lots of ways you can save money

buying tools to fix your car, but what the heck, why not start your search at a

pawn shop, and since this is mechanic Monday, I'll be giving away some tools I

bought at a pawn shop, to have a chance to win just place a clean non offensive

comment on the youtube comments below, and a winner will be chosen randomly by

computer to win some free tools, so if you never want to miss another one of my

new car repair videos, remember to ring that Bell!

Here Are the First-Week Sales Projections for Scorpion - Duration: 1:30.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

///// Drake's Scorpion has already broken streaming records on Apple and Spotify since

it's release Friday June 29th, and the albums first week projections are looking bright.

It's no question that Drizzy's album will hit number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, but

the numbers that he's pushing to secure that space are impressive.

According to Chart Data Drake will move 870-920k equivalent album units, with 275-300k coming

from pure album sales.

Those numbers are only a slight decrease from the 1.04 million that Views totaled in its

first week.

What's interesting is that Scorpion is one of the first albums to be influenced by Billboard's

new streaming rules.

Under these new rules, paid subscriptions hold a bigger weight compared to free ones.

Twelve hundred fifty streams equals one sale on a paid subscription platform, while three

thousand seven hundred fifty streams equals one sale on free streaming options.

Spotify revealed that Scorpion was being streamed over 10 million times per hour the day it

dropped meaning it shattered the record for biggest opening day with 132 million streams.

Scorpion has also taken over the top 25 spots on Apple Music and reportedly sold about 30,000

units overnight.

On Friday, Drake was also named the RIAA's highest certified digital singles artist,

having moved 142 million digital singles to date.

That's your news for now, for more on this and the rest of today's stories subscribe

Dems Poll on Whom They Want To Run in 2020, Here Comes Another Term for Trump - Duration: 9:04.

Hilarious: Dems Poll on Whom They Want To Run in 2020, Here Comes Another Term for Trump.

You may as well start planning the victory party for the Republican Party in 2020 now.

Whether Donald Trump wants another term or it's Nikki Haley or Mike Pence — or heck,

even Joe the Plumber — just order the balloons and the big, paper-mache elephant, because

it's hilariously close to in the books already.

How do I know?

Am I clairvoyant?

Just a betting genius?

Well, close.

All I had to do was look at the candidates the Democrat Party wants to run in 2020.

A new poll from Harvard CAPS/Harris is out, according to The Hill, and it's yet more

proof that those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it on CNN for

yet another election cycle.

The top four vote-getters — encompassing the first choice of 76 percent of those polled

— are wholly unelectable.

Five through 10 aren't much better.

Biden might appear to be the most electable of the bunch.

After all, he's a throwback to the halcyon days when people thought giving Barack Obama

a Nobel Peace Prize wasn't that insane.

The problem is that Biden wasn't picked as Barack's running mate for his clarity

of thought or his unimpeachable ideals.

He was a clarion signal from candidate Obama to Wall Street, that they were safe if he

were to be elected, by way of picking a politician so thoroughly lousy with banking money, that

he was derisively called "the senator from MBNA."

Oh, and the one thing that the Democrats want to make the most hay out of in 2020, President

Trump's tendency to speak off the cuff — gets thrown completely off of the hayride if they

pick Biden.

In between his ignominious 1988 primary loss over plagiarizing an entire section from a

speech, by British Labour leader Neal Kinnock and his 2016 threat to beat Trump up, Biden

has managed to say plenty of stupid things with an occasional detour into outright bigotry.

Here's a playlist of some of Uncle Joe's greatest hits:

"You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent

I'm not joking."

— Biden to an Indian-American man in 2006.

Mitt Romney said in the first 100 days, he's going to let the big banks write their own

rules — unchain Wall Street.

They're going to put y'all back in chains."

— Biden, speaking to a mostly African-American audience, during the 2012 election cycle.

"Stand up, Chuck, let 'em see ya."

— Biden to a Missouri state senator confined to a wheelchair, 2008.

"If we do everything right, if we do it with absolute certainty, there's still a

30% chance we're going to get it wrong."

— Biden to congressional Democrats, 2009.

"When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't

just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed.

He said, Look, here's what happened."

— Biden back in 2008, speaking about a president who never got on television because, it wasn't

in wide use until after his death.

But perhaps the most telling quote was from 2012: "My mother believed and my father

believed that if I wanted to be president of the United States, I could be, I could

be vice president!"

Exactly.

Second place: Hillary Clinton, 18 percent.

Oh for the love of… really?

I just checked the calendar.

Not February.

Not Groundhog Day.

We hear over and over again how Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, which probably makes

her an attractive choice to Democrats.

The thing is, that's not what makes you president, which is why Donald Trump wasn't

campaigning in places like California and New York and Hillary Clinton is now writing

memoirs, and periodically "coming out of the woods" to tell us all how much better

things would have been if she had won.

Not even the media liberals seem to particularly believe this anymore.

This was also before Trump was president, back when Americans in general and conservatives

in particular were far more skeptical about how he would perform in the office.

We've seen the results and while Democrats may not like it, Americans as a whole seem

far more amenable.

In 2016, The Donald also had a paucity of resources compared to Hillary, having less

than half the money at his disposal than she did.

In 2020, Trump will have far more, Hillary will have far less.

America will also have four years of a very sore loser moping around, blaming her defeat

on sexism and racism and James Comey and Judge Crater, probably publishing another book nobody

will bother to read and convincing herself, that Vladimir Putin made Donald Trump president.

This is the past you want to build a bridge back to, Democrats?

Be Trump's guest.

Third place: Bernie Sanders, 16 percent.

Just in case you're a Democrat and think that re-nominating the person who lost to

Trump in 2016 may not be the best idea, how about nominating the person who lost to the

person who lost to Trump?

Sixteen percent of respondents to the poll thought that was sound logic.

Look, I get it.

Socialism is very hot in 2018.

It's like how "Despacito" was back in 2017 — sure, it's crap, but everyone's

listening to it.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has become the biggest name in politics this summer simply, by winning

a Democrat primary for the House, all because she's an avowed socialist and beat an establishment

figure all with a shoestring budget.

This is all very impressive at a political level, and socialism may fly in places like

Sanders' native Vermont or Ocasio-Cortez's NYC-area district.

Nationwide, most people are still in possession of their senses and would prefer the occasionally

unequal sharing of wealth, to the very equal sharing of poverty.

Even Barack Obama, not an avowed socialist, had to fight the fact that he was too far

left for most of the electorate.

He did this with carefully manufactured charisma, soaring rhetoric and a projection of youthful

energy.

Fourth place: Elizabeth Warren, 10 percent.

If a socialist is too far left for the Democrats, how about a fake socialist?

America's favorite fake Native American is also one of those, too, having spent a

career cozying up to financial giants, when she needed money and to the same far-left

millennials Sanders attracts when she needs votes.

The problem with Warren can be summed up with one neologism: Fauxcahontas.

It isn't just that she lied about her ethnic background to get a high-paying job at Harvard.

It's that this one fact pretty much acts as a synecdoche for her entire career.

Whatever foundation of her political house hath not been laid upon the sandy soil, of

convenient untruth has instead been built upon the shifting ground of identity politics.

She managed to turn "nevertheless, she persisted" — a throwaway quote from Mitch McConnell,

about why Warren was being removed from the Senate floor because, she wouldn't stop

making ad hominem attacks against attorney general nominee Jeff Sessions in spite of

numerous warnings, into a feminist rallying line that was then appropriated, by Chelsea

Clinton for the title of a children's book.

Most of this has wallpapered over the fact that Warren isn't particularly charismatic,

and hasn't shown any significant aptitude at the gamesmanship aspect of politics.

One would assume, given those facts, that she's reached the Peter Principle point

of her competence, and probably ought to stay put in her current office, where she has a

lifetime sinecure as one of the senators from the People's Republic of Taxachusetts.

Nevertheless, if one were to judge by her media profile since Trump's taken office,

she's persisting.

As for the other candidates, none of them hit double digits.

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker, at 6 percent, is probably the most electable against a Republican.

The problem is that he has close ties to Wall Street and doesn't bother to hide it, which

makes him anathema to the new American left which will likely decide the Democrat primaries.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, whose only real distinguishing feature is

a perfervid desire for gun control, garnered 3 percent in the poll.

Califiornia Sen. Kamela Harris, whose hype-to-results ratio thus far is quickly making her the Ryan

Leaf of the upper chamber, got 2 percent.

New York's Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand each got 1 percent.

The latter is a relative surprise, since Gillibrand has been widely tipped as a favorite for the

nomination; perhaps her closeness with the Clintons didn't exactly, help her in a poll

where Hillary Clinton was in second place.

What do you think about this?

Affiliate Marketing THREATENED by Google Update (Here's what to do) - Duration: 4:03.

so it's actually a must it's a necessity it's not an option it's a necessity

what's up Internet bada$$es welcome back to another video on this channel, my name

is Omid... this is the channel where you learn bada$$ internet marketing tips and

strategies. Okay so as you can see I'm coming from a different location this

time and as I like those cars pass by I don't have my mic stand so I'm just

gonna free hold it like I'm a news reporter like hello welcome to the

channel where you learn bada$$ internet marketing tips and strategies

specifically in this video today we are going to talk about affiliate marketing

alright let's just get straight to it so this video is actually pretty serious

it's going to affect all affiliate marketers and it's actually a google

chrome update so in the past you know you can get away with not having to

install an SSL certificate now if you don't know what an SSL certificate is

SSL certificate is basically difference between when you see like HTTP or you

see an HTTPS at the top of a website so HTTPS means that it has an SSL

certificate and that the website is secure now what's the benefits of having

an SSL well it helps mainly websites that have you know credit card

transactions or websites where you can have a login or something like that you

definitely want to make sure that any time you create a login on a specific

website or anytime you input your credit card into any kind of website that it

has HTTPS guys please I'm sure some of you guys earning or most so you already

know this but HTTPS is very important it also helps in ranking in Google SEO

believe it or not so it does help with that as well and now before it was kind

of like an optional thing that you can do now July 2018 Google Chrome is taking

out an update where they're completely taking off all HTTP websites so that

means that means if you don't have an SSL certificate on your website or your

affiliate landing pages or anything like that and your user on the other end

let's say you're trying to promote a product to someone and they're using

Google Chrome if they go to your website and it doesn't have an SSL certificate

on it they'll see something that looks like this

where it'll basically say your connection is not private and attackers

attackers might be trying to steal your information so that's gonna definitely

kill all your conversions if you don't have an SSL certificate on your website

so it's actually a must it's a necessity it's not an option it's a necessity that

you get an SSL certificate on all of your web sites and your landing pages

and whatever it is that you're promoting whether you're doing drop shipping

whether you're doing affiliate marketing you have a blog anything like that make

sure that you have an SSL certificate now as certificates how do you get one

it's it's pretty easy you can usually get them through your web hosting

servers and our web hosting what am I saying you can get it through your web

hosting essentially and you have to pay some of them you have to pay a small fee

but there's actually a way where you can get an SSL certificate for free and I'm

not gonna go ahead and repurpose the video already because this video already

exists on YouTube so I'm gonna link down below in the description a video of this

guy showing you how to do an SSL for free it works I've tested it it works I

can vouch for it so just go ahead and watch that video and you can input an

SSL certificate for free on your website just go ahead and watch that video I

just didn't feel like I wouldn't have to repurpose it for no reason but anyways

that's it guys this video is just a quick video a quick update just to tell

you guys that you do need an SSL certificate now and it's very important

so I hope that you know yours if you're subscribed to me I hope that you watch

this video because it is very important that you do that so that's the guys just

looking out for all my affiliate marketers out there much love

I'll catch you next video... PEACE!

Antonio and I'm here to show off my 1929 Ford Model A five-window coupe on a

Scotty Kilmer Channel, Ford's Model A production ran from 1927 to 1931 and

sold almost 5 million units in various body styles from coupe, convertible, town

car, and so on the original Henry steel body of this 29

seven-and-a-half inches for motor clearance, the entire body and frame has

been trenched in hugger orange paint and finished with a custom hand-laid flame

job,

suspension and breaking include a forge i beam split wishbone with 2a1

shocks up front, a tubular four length with adjustable coilovers out back

and front disc brake conversion using rotors and calipers from the GM A body,

while not my first choice when it comes to looks, the staggered 14 and 15 inch

weld drag light wheels were chosen due to their low cost and the fact that

they're terrific both GM and Ford lug patterns

the interiors rather low on amenity, but it does have fully functional Stewart

door panels and molded flames a color matched

Here's how Meghan Markle and Prince Harry celebrates anniversary Princess Diana's birthday - Duration: 3:30.

Prince Harry has never shied away from taking an opportunity to pay tribute to his late

mother, Princess Diana and on what would have been her 57th birthday, Prince Harry and Duchess

Meghan Markle honored the beloved Princess in a way that could become a tradition.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex enjoyed spending some quality time together watching the polo

on Sunday, on what would have been Princess Diana's 57th birthday.

The royal couple were spotted at the Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park in Ascot for

the second day in a row, with pictures published online showing Meghan looking effortlessly

stylish in an oversized white shirt and black skinny jeans, while carrying a white sun hat

and a pair of statement shades.

Harry, meanwhile, who was watching rather than playing on Sunday, also looked casual

in a grey polo shirt and white trousers.

Meghan accessorised her look with a bag which she wore cross body, a royal style rule she

has previously broken – and nailed – during her very first visit to Scotland in February

when she and Harry undertook a royal engagement to Edinburgh.

On Saturday, Meghan and Harry were in Ascot, and Meghan took along her good friend Serena

Williams to cheer on Harry and Prince William who were both competing in the event.

Also in attendance were some of the world's top polo players and VIPs including Tom Holland,

Anna Friel and Dominic Cooper.

The high society sporting event supports two charities close to the royals' hearts - Child

Bereavement UK and Tusk Trust.

Last year to mark their late mother's birthday, both Harry and William attended a rededication

service at Diana's grave as 2017 marked 20 years since the Princess' tragic death.

The Duchess of Cambridge and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte also

joined, and travelled to Althorp where Diana is buried.

The private service was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury and attended by Diana's family.

Given the milestone anniversary of her death last year, William and Harry took part in

two documentaries where they spoke fondly about their mother, and shared some of their

favourite, as well as most painful, memories.

It was the first, and possibly last, time the brothers spoke publicly and in depth about

their mum.

The Duchess of Sussex cheered on the Duke of Sussex at a charity polo match exactly

one-year after they stepped out on their first public date together.

Coincidentally, on Prince Charles and Princess Diana's second wedding anniversary, Princess

Diana cheered on her husband in the same fashion.

On Sunday, People reported that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan attended the annual Audi

Polo Challenge, which happened to fall on what would have been her 57th birthday.

The polo event also marked the one-year anniversary of the couple's first public date at the

same event.

The two cherished the moment by sharing a sweet kiss.

Sunday's polo match wasn't the first time Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan honored Princess

Diana.

Prince Harry has spoken out about the effect his mother's death had on him in the past

and vowed to honor her memory whenever he could.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's wedding presented

the perfect opportunity for Princess Diana's memory to live on as her presence was heavily

felt throughout the entire wedding ceremony.

Hui Min found her feet here - Duration: 1:01.

My name is Hui Min and I'm studying a Master of Information Technology.

I chose Swinburne because at the previous university I was at, I just felt that

there was too much focus on theory and not much practical application of what

we were actually learning. I think the highlight of my course is how accessible

my lecturers are. I know I'm engaged when I stay back after tutorials talking to

them about concepts like beyond what we're studying. I chose to study in

Australia because I wanted to get the mix of both world-class education and

also culture. Just the standard of living here and the accessibility of everything,

the freedom. The biggest challenge was fitting in. So if you come here knowing

exactly what you want and talking to the right people, mixing with the right people,

you'll be able to find your feet here.

Avoid Dog Travel Drama, Here's How to Prepare Your Pet for a Flight - News Today - Duration: 11:15.

It's only been a few months, but 2018 can already be called the year of travel drama

Pet deaths, missing dogs, prohibited emotional support peacocks — all of these issues and more have been plaguing the supposedly friendly skies this year

While must flights involving animals are uneventful, especially when airline staff and passengers follow the rules laid out by each individual airline, it's always better to go in prepared

If you are planning to travel on a plane with your pet for the first time, there are several things you can do before you even leave the ground to make the trip less stressful for both you and your furry friend

PEOPLE talked to Neil Gill, CEO & President of Dogtopia, a dog daycare, boarding and spa facility, about the steps you can take to make sure your pet is on their best behavior when they fly and that they stay safe for the entire trip

Your pet should be comfortable in whatever airline crate or carrier you will use for the trip

We want the crate to be the "safe place" during travel. It is also helpful if your pet is used to being around strangers

If they are flying in the cabin, other passengers/strangers will be around them. If they are flying cargo, then workers/strangers will be handling your pet's cage

It's helpful to socialize your dog on a consistent basis so that they are comfortable with unknown situations

Taking your dog to doggie daycare, the dog park, dog-friendly restaurants all help to develop your dog's socialization skills for any new situation

When your dog is comfortable around strange people and environments, it reduces their stress levels during travel

Being familiar with different sounds and loud noises is also important. Planes and airports are loud! If your pet is used to loud sounds, then they will be calmer and more relaxed on the flight

Since your dog is flying as a pet, they will need to be in their carrier for the entire flight

They should know how to calmly and quietly relax in their "safe place" without consistent attention from you

Your dog should also know how to potty on command AND in a variety of environments (like the Pet Relief Area at an airport)

Remember, you know you are getting on a 5-hour flight, but your pet doesn't. You want to make the most of the last potty break

Patience and repetition! Learning to relax in a crate/carrier for long periods of time can be tough for some pets

Start slow by making the crate a happy place. Feed your pet in the crate. Sprinkle treats in the crate so that your pet discovers them when they explore the space on their own

Slowly increase time, as your dog gets comfortable in their space. You want to train your dog to settle in their crate/carrier for the length of the flight plus 2 hours (to account for security/boarding/etc

). Have them practice settling the same time of day as when the flight is. If your pup learns to calmly lay in their carrier from 8am-2pm, then a 2-hour flight at 9am is a piece of cake!  At Dogtopia, we utilize home-style crates for a two-hour nap during the day

This is also where we administer lunch and/or medications when applicable. This not only provides some much-needed rest time, but also prepares them for travel as well

Having her potty on command also takes time. Start by saying "go potty" (Or whatever word you choose) as they start to potty

Over time, you will be able to say go potty to help them know what they should do

Also, have your dog potty on command in a variety of areas and surfaces such as fake grass, pavement and around other people and traffic

As soon as you know you're traveling (the sooner the better)! And you should prepare too! Make sure to check with the airline when you book your pet's ticket

Airlines have different requirements for pet travel so you want to properly prepare you and your pet for a flight on the airline you booked

You may also want to look at several different airlines. Find an airline with a pet policy that works best for your situation and has the most ideal route to your final destination

This is especially important for dogs traveling in cargo.  Preparation of your pet reduces the stress levels for both you and your pet

If your pet is flying in the cabin, we also want the other passengers to have a smooth trip without having to deal with the vocalizations or behavior of an unruly dog

A well-socialized dog is a great travel companion.  Take road trips and socialize your dog! The movement and sounds of a car often mimic the movements and sounds of a plane

If a pet can settle in a crate/carrier for a road trip, then they will be better on the plane

Socializing your pet also helps them become more comfortable in new situations and around strangers

The more you can introduce them to new sights, sounds, smells, other dogs and other people, the better they will behave in this new situation

Dogtopia Canine Coaches are trained to assist with all your dog's socialization needs

If you have the ability, you can try a short commuter flight before your actual trip

Seeing how your dog does on a short, 1-hour flight will help predict how they will do on a cross-country flight

You can also take your dog to the airport and crowded public places particularly with the need to go through security devices, such as a sporting event

But, short of actually flying, there is no real safe way to test your pet's behavior

The saying "It is better to be safe than sorry" is especially true when it comes to flying with your pet

If you have any doubts at all, don't take your pet. Wait until the next time you fly when you can be better prepared

First, make sure to have the proper paperwork for your pet. Pet policies are changing rapidly right now, so the pet parent should check with the airline when they book their ticket, but also a couple weeks before the flight

Build in extra time at the airport. A pet parent will likely need to go through some additional screening and have paperwork checked

If they are rushed, their pet will be stressed. The pet parent also wants to make sure to provide ample time for a little last-minute exercise and a potty break

Consider downsizing luggage, shipping it to your destination or checking the carry-on bag

Most pet parents are used to navigating a couple large bags and a carry-on item, but the pet is going to be an additional bag (that happens to be holding precious cargo!) on top of that

It can get stressful fast! If the pet parent is traveling with a pet in the cabin, then the pet will have to be under the seat in front of the pet parent (where a bag normally fits) with the exception of certified service dogs

The pet parent should think about what they will do if the pet dislikes flying

If, despite best efforts, the dog howls throughout the first leg of the flight, is the pet parent willing to miss the connection and drive the rest of the trip? Or the pet gets to the destination, but had such a horrible time in cargo that she refuses to get back in? Will the pet parent be willing to drive home? If the answer is no, then it is best to leave the dog with a dog daycare, like Dogtopia, during the trip  Ask yourself why you want to fly with your pet

Is it for you? Or for the pet? Some pet parents want to fly with their pet because they will miss them or because they think the pet will want to come on the weeklong family trip, but new, restrictive environments can be extremely stressful for many pets

For example, you might be staying in a pet-friendly hotel, but some of the restaurants or activities you want to do are not-so-pet-friendly

This leaves your dog locked in a strange room all day on its own. Most dogs would be happier playing with their BFFF (best furry friend forever) at a dog daycare, like Dogtopia

Bitter? Here's What To Do About It - Two Minute Message - Duration: 2:06.

- Hey everybody, Daniel Fusco here.

And welcome to today's Two Minute Message.

Ann, who's a part of our community,

asked a question on one of the other posts,

and it's a common question that I really think is important.

It's like how to deal with bitterness

or when you're holding on to bitterness in your life.

Now, what's interesting is that in the Bible

it's called the root of bitterness.

Often times we think of bitterness

as almost like fruit on our tree,

but in the Bible it's actually something

that feeds into our life.

And when you have a root of bitterness,

unfortunately, it ends up rotting

a lot of areas of your life.

And so, I think what's really, really important

is first to acknowledge the bitterness that you have.

I've heard it said that when you harbor bitterness,

it's like drinking poison

and hoping that the other person dies.

See, you hoping that it hurts somebody else,

but really who it hurts is you.

And many of us know what's it like

where there's things that have gone on

we have that root of bitterness

and it's actually choking out

the life of God in our lives.

So first, you need to acknowledge it,

and second you need to repent of it.

Now, that word repentance in the Bible,

it literally means to agree with God

and to change direction.

So, in some ways you have to forsake

the bitterness that you've been harboring

and you're leaving it in the past

and you're turning to God,

so that God can do a transformational work.

So, you acknowledge it, you repent of it,

and then you walk away with God, enjoy!

And if you do that, I guarantee you it is sometimes

you have to you acknowledge it, you repent of it,

you walk with God, and then you take it back,

and you acknowledge it, you repent of it.

It can be a continual struggle,

but you will, takin' those small steps,

you will see God transform that bitterness

and make your life fruitful, which is really what he wants.

This is what I want you to do.

First, I want you to share this video.

'Cause listen, life is messy.

All of us have hurts and hang ups

and things that have gone on that

are negatively impacting our life today.

And this acknowledgment, repentance, and walking with God

away in joy, that's powerful and we all want to do that.

And in the comments section,

let's share about some of our own journey in this.

Where God has brought healing.

Where God has done something amazing,

where you're so grateful that you're not

where you used to be and you're heading

in a new direction with the Lord.

God bless you today.
