Athletes get pumped up with Olympic atmosphere as game day nears and athletes from ... - Duration: 1:53.
Some 3-thousand Olympians from all across the world have now gathered in the host cities
of Pyeongchang and Gangneung.
Naturally they're pumped up and ready for their chance to shine.
Our Lee Ji-won travelled to the host city to confirm the Olympic spirit is high amongst
some of the world's greatest athletes.
Starting with the Romanian team on February 5th,... the Pyeongchang and Gangneung Olympic
Villages have been holding team welcoming ceremonies for the Winter Olympics athletes.
They welcomed Team Korea on Wednesday.
With more athletes arriving at the villages by the day, excitement for the Games is growing.
"This is what we've all been looking forward to.
We've been together as a team since early August so for it to finally be time to move
in to the village and to get the Olympics started it's extremely exciting."
The welcoming ceremonies are still going on until Friday, but many athletes have moved
in and started training already,... creating a real buzz around the Olympic villages.
"It's really exciting.
We got on the course first time last night, onto the mogul course, and checked out the
venue and got a sense for what it's like.
I think everyone is really positive with their vibes at the moment.
There's a great atmosphere around and everyone just can't wait to compete."
That 'great atmosphere' could also be felt over at the Main Press Center, where the briefing
rooms are fully booked with teams wanting to share their determination and Olympics
goals to the world.
"It's a pretty cool atmosphere, it's a big scene.
There's a lot going on, there's a lot of additional media people, for instance, and a lot of other
stuff keeping us busy so it feels like the big event.
With the first event of the PyeongChang Olympics to start on Thursday, and the Opening Ceremony
to take place on Friday, the Olympic buzz is building by the day.

Hello moviegoers, okay, I just want to touch on a quick topic something interesting
That's come out of the starwars

let's get after it Lucas Films announced today that the creators of the game of Thrones television series David annoy and
DB Weiss are going to be writing and producing a new series of Star Wars films
I'm assuming that the trilogy since well
You know Star Wars, and it appears this series will be separate from the Skywalker saga, and the new Rian Johnson trilogy
This is great news in my opinion for the franchise Game of Thrones has very excellent storytelling this is something
I felt these new Star Wars movies need it's not that I don't like these movies. It's just that with Star Wars
There's this feeling that it has to be groundbreaking moving forward with everything visuals characters music
Storytelling and it might not be fair to have these expectations
But it's certainly a feeling that I get from the fandom
And I feel like they also are starting to feel and this is a right step in delivering that for us now
Having these to come on to write and produce. I feel will get them that element squared away now
What will this new series cover?
I haven't heard anything like that yet only fans
And the internet screaming Knights of the Old Republic
And I guess that's probably
what I would suggest as well that seems like a storyline that everybody seems to want and
With these two guys coming on board I feel like they could do that storyline
The most justice after seeing what they've done with Game of Thrones, but that's just people suggestions no word out on that yet
There's some quotes here from Kathleen Kennedy the president of Lucas Films
And she says David and Dan are some of the best
Storytellers working today their command of complex characters depth of story and richness of mythology will break new ground and boldly
Push Star Wars in ways I find incredibly exciting
I mean she's spot-on with that assessment of them in my opinion
Then there's also a statement that the two new producers and writers released so David and Vivi go on to say in the summer of
1977 we traveled to a galaxy far far away
and we've been ever since we are honored by the opportunity and a little terrified by the
Responsibility and so excited to get started as soon as the final season of Game of Thrones is complete Wow
It's funny when I left the last Jedi the first thing I said to the people I was with was it's good
But Game of Thrones has spoiled us tonight feel like the expectation is so high now
And I didn't know if this movie would Ruby received well the last Jedi am now
We're a few weeks away from the last Jedi and you can see it was very divisive
And I think there's just this standard that I feel like the fandom wants
And I feel like these guys can bring and I feel like Game of Thrones is a good example of how?
Well a story
especially with such a big universe that Star Wars has can be told and it's in a history and all the
Expanded universe stuff. They should be telling these very big game of Thrones complex type stories
You know with lightsaber battles
And that is something that I feel like this franchise needs definitely something worth exploring. Let me know down below

so click here on scaffolding press left click on a construction point to start

us kind of like the blueprint for this bridge cuz I'm guessing this is learning
the basics the bridge still requires a roadway for the test vehicle to drive on
can't drive over this selector Netley each Aperture Science convertible
scaffold playing can be converted into a roadway and vice versa
at any time okay so just click on a component ok I'll put the road up very
good let us test vehicle run over your bridge to test it
ok so I'll Drive guessing missile work because they kind
of gave us the exactly prints for it yep nice and smooth past 106 so there's this
option so convoy all right let's uh it's a quick convoy okay yes all right
there'll be a lot more going over I guess this adds a lot of weight and
things like that to the bridge so if it's built kind of poorly it won't allow
six over whereas it would have left the single one over okay so that's like the
more advanced thing I guess let's go to the next level so far I'm enjoying it I
like these kinds of games to welcome to test chamber to overcome obstacles you
will often need to construct your bridge uphill or downhill all right this
roadway leads uphill but is not suitable for vehicles however instead of
destroying these components we will modify their location okay okay so you
don't have to start from scratch so click and hold on yellow hinge point
until moving the mode is activated then drag the hinge points or new position so
I guess we can kind of do this well before we do this I want you guys to
think why do you think this is a bad idea I think this would work do you
that's all okay there's the to move mode okay so I guess we'll just do that very
good now build the supports underneath okay so the supports click and then
click again the first bridge is ready now we will construct a vehicle ramp for
herd link to the exit okay you don't think it'll make it from here to here

guessing they're not gonna give us these exact blueprints throughout the whole
game this is the learning stage this is learning the basics so that's kind of

one forklift to go over the bridge we'll see if it works and then I'm guessing
the convoy option will come up and we'll try that yep there we go let's do the
convoy again they gave us the exact blueprint so this should work if it
doesn't work your cache you quite be quite funny
nice and smooth Bridge is moving a little bit with more
weight on it which makes sense so this is probably gonna get a lot harder in
the coming levels alright next level okay so we
have two areas now please observe this test chamber layout and note that it is
impossible for the vehicle to reach its destination that's correct because
there's the test chamber will be enhanced with an aperture science

but that's normal it can't be completely solid or it would actually be dangerous
sort of people driving over it give him the weight so let's try a convoy here
I'm confident this won't work this one will work because they gave us the exact
blueprints for that okay so two on the bridge that's good okay so this
stretching or I'm sorry this angle of the wire seems to be good as long as the
weight isn't too much I'm guessing but wasn't in this case so let's go to the
next level so far so good can't exist at the same time okay monofin is leading to
a deadly laser field it appears red to discourage casual
contact I was sure wouldn't want to touch it I
am registering an increased heart rate and galvanic skin response obviously due
to the fact that you are not able to tell which portal will lead the vehicles
into the lethal deadlock okay to compensate for your lack of clairvoyant

that goes down to the yellow actually now we'll go up to the blue because
it'll come out here which will go down to the red and since this is downhill
it'll gain speed and hopefully enough speed to jump through here and right
into the exit so let's do that let's start here so we need to go up to the
blue this should be easy let's make a roadway here we're trying
to make it as level as we can in this case red but I actually make a straight
line and we'll go to the shower curtains aka the cables
and people do this right I'll guess um let's do that uh you know what yeah
let's keep it like that that looks like it'll work
so let's um let's give it a test drive here well that's actually the drive I'm
guessing the test will kind of do the same thing but okay so so far so good
let's go back to the build mode well um we're roadway here boom boom go well oh
that's a little bumpy there kind of be like a ramp if I crash into the wall so
make this roadway and then we'll go back to the cables and to kind of do this
that should work I said test I'll test doesn't do
anything else you drive them now there are no orange circles here so
that means that you can't build anything here so you have to have enough speed
when you come in here to go through that and we did so that's complete let's show
a convoy let's see if this actually holds up with more weight on it
especially this one because there's a longer distance a way to get the Shiva
dude let's see how that works looks actually pretty good he's actually
didn't move at all so I'm actually quite happy with that alright that's pretty
pretty good let's go to the next level oh okay so we have another type of
bridge here only has construction attachment points at the start and end
up the roadway in such cases the bridges must be self-supporting with arch
scaffolds placed in a triangular formation we provided two bridges as
structural reference it should be a simple matter of copying this design to
bridge the remaining gaps all right should be easy enough this makes sense
cuz there's no orange circles up here so there's really no way to put cables
there so you have to have a structure that's self-supporting let's go to right
here well let's actually see how does this go it's gonna go from here through
the blue portals so we'll start with this one first let's just put a regular
roadway here this looks a little bit bumpy all right there we go that's
pretty straight then because we kind of just do the triangle thing right here
this the triangle thing being this orange circle would should be about
halfway between these two end points on this piece of road here and then we'll
put the top supporting and you know what since this is kind of really easy let's
do this one as well so put a straight road way and then we'll put the top
supporting beams up here like that boom boom boom and let's drive it
I'm confident this will work but can never get a hundred percent sure I can
yeah I said this is good it does move a little bit but this one seems fine cuz
it's straight guessing let's put a convoy I'm a little bit worried about
this one because some the momentum of coming down with more than one car
meaning more weight on it might actually stress it to the point where breaks but
it looks like they're gonna be alright it didn't move as much as I actually
thought it would so that's really good terrific okay that's good level five
