Product Selection: Which Headlight Bulbs Should I Use? - Duration: 2:25.

[Mechanical SFX]

Hey everybody, Dave here with O'Reilly Auto Parts to talk about something we

all need, headlights. Because if you've ever had to replace a headlight you may

have noticed there are several different ones to choose from.

Sylvania Automotive makes a few different bulbs that will fit your

vehicle so we're going to take a look at them to help you determine which one you

might need next time you need a replacement. Let's start with the

Sylvania Basic. This is a great general use headlight that's held to the same

standard as the original equipment or OE that came on your vehicle. This bulb

is designed for long life and basic down road visibility. If you're wanting added

assurance that you can see the road ahead of you, the Xtra Vision is a bulb

designed to project light farther down the road without affecting the oncoming

drivers. The improved down road visibility is due to improvements to the

filament and halogen gas mixture. Your next option is the Silver Star a bulb that's

designed not only for improved down road visibility, but also for improved clarity.

The bulb features a blue coating that makes the headlight whiter which gives

greater contrast and detail to objects out in front of your vehicle. Great for

driving in rural areas or any place that isn't well lit. Now here's the cream of

the crop. The Silver Star Ultra. Because it's designed for improved down road

visibility and clarity the Silver Star Ultra provides the best contrast to

objects out in front of your vehicle which makes things easier to see. And

because this headlight offers great down road visibility, it also allows you to

see objects sooner. Last but not least, getting away from products designed for

safety only, we have a family of headlights designed for looks. The zXe

which is the closest thing to an HID bulb available in a halogen headlight. If

you're looking for style and attitude the zXe family is the whitest Sylvania

halogen bulb and has a brilliant glow perfect for the appearance enthusiasts.

Here they are, the whole family, and you should know none of these bulbs are the

blinding blue kind. All Sylvania headlights are street-legal and won't

increase glare for other drivers. So hopefully we've helped you decide which

bulb to buy next time you need one. All these bulbs are available at your local

O'Reilly Auto Parts store or online at OReillyAuto.com.

Jaki krem na zimę wybrać? / Which face cream to use during winter? - Duration: 5:15.

As I'm recording this video, weather in Warsaw is around 0C.

Not much of a winter, huh?

But it could get colder any day.

Also, it's important to take into account the difference between outside and inside temperature.

You can keep temperature at home at chilly 18C, but at the mall, it's over 20C for sure.

Your skin doesn't like that.

So, how to take care of skin in the winter and which face cream should you choose? Keep on watching!

Our mothers used Nivea cream or Linomag, an ointment made of lanolin and linseed oil.

Both have distinct smell, both don't work with any type of makeup and make your face shine bright.

I suppose it's OK for babies but we're not talking about it here.

My all time fav is Clinique Moisture Surge gel-cream, but it's too light for winter, regardless of skin type.

Since we tend to layer clothing, we should do the same with skincare.

After cleaning your face, use moisturizing spray, serum, face cream and SPF cream.

Don't forget a lip balm – I reviewed a few recently, link below.

That's why instead of cream, I suggest you try out the Moisture Surge serum.

One of active ingredients is a form of hyaluronic acid, one of the best moisturizers

It's lightweight and absorbs easily.

It works well with all skin types.

It's 119 PLN / 50 ml, link below.

If you have dry skin, think about a face oil.

Polish brand Ministerstwo Dobrego Mydła has a few to choose from.

At 20 PLN per bottle, it's a steal.

More luxurious choice is the serum, or rather combination of oils by Filorga that I reviewed some time ago.

On this, you put on some face cream.

My fav is Strivectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream. I see it's deeply discounted at Sephora right now, so all the more reason to buy it.

Sure, it's packed in a jar, but most of creams are. Still, the ingredient list and the way it works make up for that.

It blends really easily, works well with makeup and lasts forever. Normal price is over 400 PLN / 50 ml. Link below.

Some time ago, a Cyprus-based company Neoderma contacted me.

Instead of randomly choosing a product, they sent me a questionnaire.

I answered the questions and got a cream from Intelligence Prevent line, for combination / normal skin.

Main ingredients are Q10 enzyme, hyaluronic acid and shea butter.

It would really be a great product, even with jar packaging – hey, spoons were invented for a reason!

But the jar is wider at the bottom which makes using up all of the cream a bit of a problem.

I also got a cream from German brand Weleda.

It's formulated especially for winter, good for babies,

contains almond oil, sesame oil, calendula extract... and alcohol.

On 4th place in the ingredient list.

I have no idea why Weleda continues to add alcohol to its lineup – because it's not the first cream with this problem.

Sadly, I can't recommend this one.

And now, Polish brand called Creamy, one of biggest surprises of last few months.

I wrote about them on my blog – link below, but long story short:

You can have a made to measure cream, with ingredients your skin really needs.

The one I have here is a „normal" version with moringa oil.

It's a rich formula, and doesn't work too well with makeup. But if you don't wear makeup everyday, you'll love it.

To sum up: you don't have to get the thickest, richest cream in the store, because there's no ideal cream for all of us.

I didn't talk about classics like Cold Cream Avene and others, but you probably read all about them in a glossy you read.

Choose a cream that works best with your skin and read the ingredient list.

Anything with hyaluronic acid is great and it doesn't have to be pricey.

Avoid creams containing alcohol – not only in the winter, at all times.

This is the time for gentle AHA exfoliation as they make skin look fresh not chalky & dull.

Avoid harsh scrubs, clay masks and long hot baths & showers.

I know this is probably the thing you dream of when going back home, but it's not a good idea.

The water should be warm not hot. And I admit, sometimes I indulge in this, too.

And what do you change in your skincare routine for winter? Let me know in the comments.

Which Smart Speaker Should You Buy? - Duration: 3:37.

Smart Speakers are a new technology.

It started back in 2016 with Amazon's first Echo speaker.

Fast forward to 2018, and companies such as Google, Sonos, and Microsoft have created

their own, with one from Apple underway.

But which one should you buy?

I am assuming that most of you know what a smart speaker is, but for those that don't,

a smart speaker is a speaker with voice control and that company's voice recognition AI.

The two most popular smart speakers right now are the Amazon Echo, and Google Home,

in which the base model is tall with a powerful speaker (the Echo costing $99 and the Home

costing $130), and the mini model is smaller and cheaper (Both Echo and Home minis cost

$49).

When you say "Alexa", or "Ok Google", the speaker activates and you can say your

command.

They can do stuff like play music, set timer and alarms, control your lights and smart

things, ask for the weather, get it to tell you a joke, and the list goes on.

So now you're probably wondering which one is better.

The Amazon Alexa looks sleeker, while the Google Home looks like an air freshener.

The Alexa also has more built-in microphones then the Home, allowing it to better hear

and understand your commands.

Not only that, but Alexa has way more skills than the Home (over 15,000), and is compatible

and integrated with many other smart products, while Google only has about 160 'services',

and is not compatible with apps like Hive and Uber.

However, the Home can stream to a Chromecast, and you can control YouTube videos with the

Home.

It also has the power of Google's search engine, so it answers questions better and

smarter than Alexa.

So, coming back to the original question, which one is better?

The Amazon Echo and the Google Home have similar features, but the Alexa is a newer 2nd generation

device, and is $30 cheaper than the Home, so it's a clear winner.

However, things with the Dots and Minis are different.

They are priced exactly the same, but the Home looks cooler, has a bit better speakers,

and has this broadcast feature that I just learned about, where you can say something

to one Home device, and it will broadcast that to another Home Mini.

This one is hard, but I would lean to the Home Mini, unless you already have an Alexa

device, in which case buy the Echo.

And finally, the big boys.

Echo Plus v. Home Max.

This one is, umm… well I actually don't know what to say.

The Echo Plus is like an Echo, but with a better speaker.

The Home Max, however, is a Home, but with a very, very good speaker.

Oh, and did I mention that the Echo Plus costs $150, and the Home Max costs $400?

Yeah.

That's a $250 difference.

You guys judge that one yourselves.

Now, let's talk Apple, or more specifically, the HomePod.

It is similar to a Home Max, in terms of that is focuses on the speaker, instead of the

voice assistant.

This is further proved by Siri, which is the worst AI of these three, and needs a serious

upgrade.

It's cooler than the Max, because it has a LED waveform on top, has a powerful A8 processor,

and looks a bit better, for a price of $350.

However, I wouldn't recommend the HomePod, as it's released has been delayed for a

very long time, and its AI isn't good when compared to Google and Amazon, and it hasn't

stood the test of time.

Whoo.

Even though smart speakers existed for two years, there are a lot of information on them.

I currently have an Echo Dot, I like it, even if the speaker is not the greatest.

Homeschooling 102 - Which Approach is Right for You? - Duration: 3:00.

So you're thinking of homeschooling your kids. So how do you decide what approach

is right for you? Generally speaking, there are six methodologies. Each of them

have pros and cons and depending on your family, certain approaches will be better

for you than others. Here's an overview of the six methodologies and how to

determine which is right for you. The first methodology is the Traditional

Method which you're probably most familiar with. This is when textbooks are

designed for a nine month school year and either are taught by a teacher or parent

who explains the material to the student or its student-guided where the material

itself is explained at the students grade level, not requiring the guidance

of a teacher. The second method is the Classical Method, which is based on three

stages of learning - the grammar stage, the logic stage, and the rhetoric stage.

This method involves lots of reading and memorization at an early age. The third

method is Unit Study which is great for large families because it's practical

and cost-effective. If you have several children instead of teaching them all

different topics at once, a unit study allows you to teach them

the same topic at the same time regardless of their varying grade levels.

The fourth is a method known as Unschooled. This is where you toss the

textbooks out and trade them for hands-on experience targeted toward your

child's interest. This is an exciting and busy lifestyle filled with things like

museums, libraries, music classes, day trips, and vacations to historical places.

Fifth is the Charlotte Mason Method named after the British educator of the 1900s.

Charlotte Mason didn't believe in the one-size-fits-all method of her day so

she developed a customizable approach which emphasized the unique abilities

and interests of each child. This methodology appeals to the heart of

homeschool.

The sixth and last method we must mention is the Eclectic Method.

This is where you select each subject for each child à la carte, choosing from a

variety of types of curriculum each year and mixing it up each year based on your

child's learning style.

So how do you decide which methodology is right for you?

First, research the methods that are of most interest to you. Second, make a list of

priorities such as your values, your budget, the amount of time you're able to

commit, your children's needs and learning styles and determine which

method fits your family's lifestyle best.
