all right we caught a wet and rainy one today but we're having a little fun

we're at New York Country Club and we're gonna be checking out the shot scope so

you guys have heard us talk on the podcast a lot about the importance of

tracking your stats we talked about the reason being so that you can look for

those holes in your game and work on specific practice targeted practice I

won't get into the too much detail on how it works a little bit of its own as

Chris McEwan called it voodoo magic I'll link to his his video below where he

goes in depth about how it works and what you know a little more about the

shots go we're gonna have a little bit fun with it we're gonna show you so

first things first Mike's here to astutely show you how to install your

shot scope sensor now pay attention because it's tricky you simply take the

nub you get a bunch of these you get more than 14 in fact you get some spares

and watch this we're ready that's it so that you got that you've got the watch

you guys might have seen us wearing these in the last couple of videos shot

scopes sent us these about four weeks ago we've been testing them ever since

so far been really enjoying it so we're gonna show you how it is the other thing

that I really like about this are the metals there right within the app

there's some fun metals you can earn stuff like that so we'll show you guys

some of that a little bit but it's also a GPS watch so we're going to check out

our distances we're gonna have a little fun this course is beautiful as rainy as

it is out here we're gonna get to get around and have some fun

all right so one of my favorite aspects so far the watch has been this pin

collect so what you do is you stand over the pin you click the number of pots

that was a miserable three-putt but it's gonna actually log exactly where the

pain is on that hole that's what gives you the accurate stats on the green so

window has Zack now how many feet i putt that day and I know how close my

approach that's where it's not guessing and knows GPS location right to the pin

all right number two here New York country clubs a tricky hole because it

looks easy enough but there's a lot of trouble on the right there's water so

this is telling me that it's 142 to clear the water 2 3 I'm sorry

238 to clear it 142 to the front there's also a bunker here which is kind of how

to play with the driver so 238 to clear that water thickish bri

we've got some trees here and try to keep it low move it right the left and

just get it somewhere on that green

all right so not only are we have a little bit of fun with the shot scope

all right Frank we've got about what five six rounds with the shot scope

under our belt I mean tell me tell the viewers who is the shot scope truly four

so I would say a couple of people one if you're already playing with the GPS

watch you're used to wearing the watch you like wearing it for your distances

and you want to get a little bit more out of it for you it's a home run

because not only gonna get that great accuracy Mike showed you earlier right

to the to the bunkers to the hazards things like that to the pins

but you're also gonna be tracking every shot as you go right additionally if

you're someone who doesn't like to interact a lot with your phone it's

perfect because actually everything is controlling the watch you download the

course before you go out at that point you could leave your phone in your car

you can leave it at home if you wanted to right I heard a couple of guys saying

- they like it for when they travel overseas so you're not using data the

whole time because everything that the watch handles everything from the moment

you tee off after your round that's when you download your stats this

is your wheelhouse and how important it is you know collecting your stats we

talk about it every week goes out about it like a lot of guys like you and me

look busy we've got things to do we don't have time to practice two hours a

day I think focused practice is key so if

you can find those holes in your game and then just work on knocking those out

first and that's what this will identify sure it's great to look at those

300-yard bombs and we will look back on them but I think it's even more

important to look at the stuff that you're doing wrong and then fish or all

right so you know how I am with accurate GPS and you know accuracy so let's test

it out let's do it the right way I love doing this let's take this the watch is

showing 127 now 128 to the middle and that pin looks like it's close to the

middle a little off to the right but let's check the accuracy of it yeah I

got 130 131 it's toggling to the flag so two or three yards that's pretty damn

good

you know we got trying to hear Mike

up and down there it is my hire you're hired

all right par three long par 3 this is playing 209

from the Blues all wind in our face probably playing every bit of 220 with

the wind so let's see if we can get it there

oh we're dancing or dance I mean you're on the green but

it's like another zip code on the green you got a long putt ahead of you man

all right easy little 2-footer here right let's try differently

by getting a shorter or these flagsticks getting longer alright so when you're

done with your round all you got to do with the launch is click the little

Bluetooth button and it goes right to your iOS or Android app and you can

download all your stats right there you don't even need a computer but if you do

on the computer that's what you hear us talking about on the podcast lately

there's the dashboard where you can get a lot more granular into all of your

different statistics you can base it on round season averages performance you

can look at those metals that we talked about and worked on earning a few while

we were out here so that's where the magic happens like I

said out on the course GPS GPS watch distances two pins bunkers things like

that magic happens after the rounds downloaded you'll see what I mean

oh one more thing special shout out to New York country club obviously the

weather did not give this course do this course any justice but beautiful track

and don't be fooled by the name New York Country Club a lot of people don't try

to book a tee time here because they think it's private based on the name but

it's only partially private you can book a tee time like you're not a member you

play your life right here a lot I love this course very convenient and I love

the layout so Spring Valley New York if you're in that area check this place out

I'm sure I want to get back this is my first round here I want to get back here

when it's a little less yeah let's go let's come back and do this again and

play here again but great track a lot of fun
