Keep watching to learn how to easily add punch to your drums.
Hey, this is Jason from Behind The Speakers.
And before we dive in, make sure you grab my free drum mixing cheatsheet, which is packed
with more tips and tricks that will take your drums to the next level.

So tell me if this sounds familiar.
You listen to your favorite records, and the drums always sound super punchy and impactful.
The kick feels like it just cuts through the mix, and the snare hits you right in the face.
And then when you listen to your mixes, the drums sound soft and mushy, and they don't
really cut through the mix.
Now if this sounds like you, if this is the problem that you're struggling with, the
solution is compression.
Compression is one of those tools that we can actually use to shape and manipulate the
punch and the impact of our drums.
And if we're trying to make our drums cut through the mix more, trying to add that punch
and the impact that we're looking for, compression is the way to do it.
But here's the thing about compression that makes it tricky.
So the settings that you choose when you're applying compression are absolutely crucial.
Because the same compressor can actually add punch to drums, but it can also take it away
depending on the settings you choose.
So it's not enough just to add compression to a drum track if you're trying to make
it punchier, you actually have to make sure that you know exactly what you're doing
when it comes to compression.
And the most important parameter that you absolutely need to get right if you're trying
to add punch and impact to your drums is the attack time.
The attack time on a compressor will control whether the compressor adds punch to drums
or takes punch away from drums.
So in this video I want to go into the attack time control in a little bit more detail,
and show you exactly how you can use it to add more punch and impact to your drums.
So I have three different snare drum tracks here.
It's just a snare sample, so take a listen.
This is dry without any processing.
I'm going to loop this so it'll loop.
And you can see here I have three different versions of this same snare track.
So this one is just dry without any processing, and then I have a duplicate here, and I've
added a compressor.
In this case I'm using the Oxford Dynamics compressor, but you can use any compressor,
doesn't really matter.
And you can see here I've set the attack knob to go as fast as possible.
So you can see here 0.52 milliseconds.
So basically what we're telling the compressor to do when we use a fast attack time, is whenever
the signal, whenever the sound gets louder than the threshold, that's the number right
here, whenever the sound gets louder than -30 dB, we want the compressor to clamp down
and pull down that sound right away, almost immediately.
That's what a fast attack time says.
So we want the compressor to turn down the sound right after it exceeds the threshold,
right away.
We don't want it to wait at all.
Now if we go back to the actual ProTools window here and I zoom in a little bit, you can see
that if you look at the waveform, right at the beginning of that snare hit is a big spike
right over here.
And what that's called is the transient.
That's the initial punch and impact right on the beginning of that hit.
And so with a fast attack time, we're basically telling the compressor to turn down that transient
because that's the loudest part of the sound.
So that transient's going to be above the threshold, which means when that compressor
reacts, because it's pulling down the sound right away, as soon as the sound exceeds the
threshold, so right when that transient hits, the compressor's going to jump in and say
okay, now we need to turn down the sound.
And so the result is that we actually turn down the punch and the impact.
So even though we're using compression, because we've set it up with a fast attack
time, it's actually in this case doing the opposite of what we want.
We're turning down the punch and the impact.
So I want to compare this snare drum sound with a fast attack compression to the original.
So I'm just going to flip back and forth, and I want you to listen to the punch and
the impact.
And notice with a fast attack compression how the punch and the impact right at the
beginning of that snare drum actually goes away.
So take a listen.
So all that thwack, that punch right on the beginning of the snare gets flattened out
completely because the compressor's turning down that transient right at the beginning
of that drum hit.
On the other hand, I have this same snare sound here on a third track, and I've set
the compressor up with a slow attack time.
So basically what this is telling the compressor to do is when the signal gets louder than
the threshold, we want the compressor to wait a little bit before it turns down the sound.
We don't want it to jump in right away and turn it down immediately, we want it in this
case to wait 15 milliseconds.
And so the result, zooming in again and looking at the waveform, is that the compressor actually
waits.
And it looks over this initial punch or impact, and waits a little bit before it grabs the
sound and turns it down.
So what ends up getting turned down is not this transient right at the beginning of the
sound, but the rest of the drum sound.
So the tail of the drum sound actually gets turned down, but the transient gets left there.
And so now when we turn up the sound after using makeup gain, what we're actually turning
up is the transient.
We're making the transient louder.
So we turn the tail up back to its original level using this makeup gain, but the transient
actually becomes louder, because the compressor didn't actually touch that at all.
So it's almost as if we've boosted this transient right on the beginning of the snare
drum hit.
So the effect is that we actually add more punch and impact to the sound by using a slow
attack compressor.
So I want to take a listen now, and I want you to compare this snare drum with a slow
attack compression, and we'll compare it with the fast attack.
And I want you to notice how much more punch and impact we get on the snare drum sound
with the slow attack versus the fast attack.
Let's take a listen.
We'll start with the fast attack.
So see how all that punch and impact and that thwack right at the beginning of the snare
drum hit comes back with that slow attack time?
That's the key to adding punch and impact to drums.
It's all about the attack time.
So we can use a compressor, but if we haven't set it up with a slow attack time then we're
actually going to end up doing the opposite of what we want in this case.
If we're trying to add punch and impact to drums, a fast attack time is going to take
that away.
So here's the big takeaway from this video.
If you want to add punch to drums, make sure that you're using a slow attack time.
On the other hand, there are times when you want to remove punch from drums.
Maybe the drums sound too punchy.
And in this case, you actually want to use a fast attack time.
So you can use the compressor to turn down that punch to make the drums sound like they
hit a little bit softer.
So attack time is the key here.
If you're trying to add punch to drums, then you want to make sure that you get that
parameter right.

ESTIMATING REPAIRS & How to do a Wholesale Real Estate Deal - Duration: 8:50.
CLOSED CAPTION BY YOUTUBE! in this video we'll talk about making repairs and we're gonna talk about how
to do real estate wholesale deals of course as usual but exactly how do you
estimate repairs stay tuned alright what's going on this is all coming to
your life on my Empire Pro studios I have a quick question here that came in
and let's just go ahead and address this question it's it's ok so I might have a
deal on the contract soon so means never ok but I'm innocent like we don't have a
real deal my question is how do you estimate repairs I have no idea how to
do this would anyone in South Jersey be able to walk through a few properties
with me well why don't we just do that right here on this session ok first of
all before I get into the answer to that question let's just talk about what is
wholesale real estate right also never list what is that well it's basically
when you put a house on that contract at the discounted price maybe not so
discounted but at a price that investors love what is the price that investors
love so think of it this way the property is worth $100,000 right after
repair it needs to work it needs about $20,000 of repair ok so because of that
you're not just gonna assess as a seller as a owner it's not as simple as just
doping on the market for a hundred thousand dollars - $20,000 and valving
$80,000 then somebody's gonna come Happiny and purchase the property and
then fix it for $20,000 and then voila $100,000 it's not that simple when the
property needs work it becomes less attractive to the regular market to the
retail market you know people this is their home they
need to fall in love with a dinner for the woman need to fall in love with the
kitchen the bathroom the the lawns and it needs to have to call appeal right so
people need to fall in love with that property for the by so if you have a
puppy that needs $20,000 worth of work and it's worth $100,000 after I repair
the office you're gonna be getting on the market if you put their house on the
market it's gonna be a lot less than $80,000 which is the difference there's
gonna be a lot less than that okay you're gonna be getting offers for forty
fifty thousand dollars why because it's not attractive now that's if you get any
offers at all there's a very high chance that you're not gonna get any offer okay
because again it's not attractive it's not an attractive house and the
retail market basically wants a ready to go live in so the kind of people that
will be interested in such properties are investors investors who would like
to purchase the property put the work in and then sell it for a profit on the
market okay which is legal you know they deserve to make a profit from that
that's the idea of real estate investing so basically if they go purchase the
property for $80,000 and they put in work for $20,000 they sell it for
$100,000 there's no profit there right so was a reasonable profit for an
investor a reasonable profit for an investor is 30% is somewhere around 30%
does that make sense if somewhere around 30% but the more the better
okay a lot of times investors will want war basically here in New Jersey versus
like $40,000 profits okay it keeps the business going they invest
some money they make some money everybody keep everybody go home
everybody goes home right so basically the way that works is an investor will
come in and and do the math of what is the 65% of $100,000
that would be $65,000 right and now they will now subtract the cost of repair
estimated cost of repair from that that's basically $20,000 so 65 minus 25
that's 45,000 dollars so the investor will purchase it for $45,000 sometimes
they do off 270 present okay so that means they purchased the property for
17-20 that's $50,000 so deep properly for $50,000 putting work of
$20,000 there cost us up to $70,000 they put it back on the market for $100,000
they make $30,000 for investing $100,000 to represent ROI it's a beautiful day
they just made profit they can do the business over and over they can feed
their family that's how the business what they are paid taxes on that too by
the way all right so so the question here is
basically based on that repair part because as a wholesaler you help this
investors find these deals which is why I prefer the number 65 percent because
investors can pay up to seventy seventy five percent you make the spread between
which is a five to ten percent spread right so you can make someone between
five to ten thousand dollars on a hundred thousand dollar deal and
investors will happy repair you the seller will happily get rid of this
property that that means work you know and that's your responsibility to find
such deals so when you find such deals you need to learn how to estimate
repairs in the beginning some people say I find a contractor but maybe it's not
that easy contractors like to get paid so but contractors don't get paid up
front potatoes will give you an estimate of work on a house and hope that you
give them the job okay so you could do it that way and observe how they are
serving things but also the way I like to do it for every new market that I
explore is I just Google the information okay I'll say I'll say Stockton
California cost off roof and some numbers will come up and those numbers
are usually good enough to estimate if they are bad you find out in good time
because your investors will tell you and plus you have to remember that investors
your number you'll find on Google is probably already more conservative than
the numbers the investor will be looking at because investors have deals that
they you know the cost of things are cheaper the cost of fixing up a house
are cheaper for them because they do the business over and over again so they
have that volume type of discount in their deals so your numbers Republican
basically enough another way that I find myself doing sometimes if a house need
carpet and painting if based on what I'm looking at I would probably put 10 to
$15,000 worth of work on that if you need a little bit more than that let's
say like cabinets kitchen and new kitchen stuff
I'll put thirty thirty-five thousand dollars on it if that house needs got
work like you've got it that's seventy two hundred thousand dollars worth of
work and I know that from you know just experienced over the years but again
those are two different ways I gave you idea to learn how to estimate actually
they give you three the first way find a contractor and observe what they're
doing and do that a few times eventually it's not rocket science you will see
what they're trying to do and then you can use that information Google some
more information and you come up with a nice little system to do your repairs to
do your repair estimate the second way that I showed with you is actually
Google the information depending on what mark and you're getting into in this
world of virtual wholesaling you should be able to do that on the fly using
Google the third way that I share with you is basically what the third way
remind me remind me or maybe I need to clear my - okay
the third way is what I just share with you which is based on experience I
wouldn't do that unless you've had some experience I said if you miss copy
dinner worth $15,000 if it needs a little bit more maybe a kitchen cabinet
maybe thirty thirty five thousand dollars right and if he needs like got
at work that's seventy to a hundred thousand dollars work depends on the
area it depends on a lot of other stuff so that's how I do it personally and it
works perfectly fine for me so hopefully that was helpful for you if you want to
know more about what I'm teaching this course my real estate wholesaling
basically you want people want to fill your pipeline with leads telling you

Toggle Button Knot - How to Tie a Toggle Button Knot on the End of a Paracord Bracelet - Duration: 10:21.
the toggle button knot hello everybody welcome back and yes in today's little
exercise what I'm gonna do is I've done it in chunky rope here as well it does
work in chunky rope quite well but we're gonna tie the toggle button and mainly
this is used for if say for example you've got yourselves a paracord
bracelet of some sort it just puts a nice elongated toggle type knot on the
end of your bracelet and the beautiful thing about this is it's it's a lower
profile than say the lanyard knot which or the diamond not which a lot of people
tie in the ends of their paracord bracelets and the whole idea is once
again this is just a toggle and as you can see it's elongated but what you can
do is just use it like a button over the end of your paracord lanyard and as I
said here here we've got chunkier versions a little bit too close up for
my likings but we'll sort that out in a bit and also at the end of the video
I'll just explain the process of how to make this is quick and easy it took this
this particular bracelet took me about five minutes to make it uses I'll
explain that at the end of the video anyway let's get on and let's tie the
toggle knot so I'll see in a bit ok so as you can see I've got my cordage laid
out in front of me and what I've done in this particular case I have centered
this and then once I've centered it like you can see in front of you I've put a
bite in at the top here and so let's now get on and tie our toggle button knot so
to tie this knot the first thing that I need to do is I need to get hold of the
top here and what I'm gonna do is just twist it over and form a loop in the end
of my rope and now you can see so let me just point this out to you so now you
can see here at the top here we've got our loop it's going from the right hand
way King end underneath the left hand
working end around over the top and then it's going over and then running off to
the left hand side at that point there so now that I've done that let's just
lay this out nice and gently and the next thing that we're going to do is I
want to take my left hand working end so this lead here I'm going to take that
working end and what I'm going to do now is I'm going to pass it underneath the
right hand working end and just pull through the excess and now that we've
pulled through you can see we've almost got an ampersand there okay so it's now
coming out underneath at that point there the working end is going up there
I'm now going to take that working end and the next thing that I'm going to do
is I'm going to pass it underneath that top loop and pull through the excess
just hold everything else down nice and flat and you can see now here we've got
a rather pleasing almost pretzel shape at this point here now that I've done
that the next thing that I'm going to do is I'm just going to move that working
end going down to the bottom just over to the left hand side a bit out of the
way and then the next thing that I'm gonna do is the top working end let's
just bring that in this top working end here so that working end here which
happens to attach itself there is now going to weave itself down through this
actual criss cross over here so what I'm gonna do now is pass it underneath the
first part of the loop so you can see that's going underneath the first part
of the loop it's going over on the middle part at that point there and then
bring it underneath again and then just gently pull until we create a little bit
of a loop at the top side there so that is now that has now been dealt with
the next thing that we're going to do is we're going to get this working end here
which happens to be that end of the lead there and what we're gonna do now is
weave this one through so the next thing that we want to do now is I'm going to
get hold of it and I'm now going to pass it underneath on the right hand side
here of that working end so pass it underneath there bring it up through
till it falls over the top of that loop there and then the next thing I'm going
to do is just push it down through that loop there and now we've in effect tied
our toggle button knot and now all it leaves to do is we get holding the two
working ends at that point there and what we do is we just hold them in the
middle and the next thing I'm gonna do now is go around and pull out all the
slack so you can see I've got a lot of slack in here and all I'm gonna do is
just go round pull out all this slack and so I can pull that just pull it but
don't pull it you could do this gently because you don't want to miss shape the
actual knot itself just pull it through and take it down and so what you're
probably going to do now is just see me in fast-forward pulling the rest of this
through
okay so we're at this point now here you see we've still got the toggle shape but
it's still once tightening up some more but now that we've taken most of the
slack out of it what we want to do now is bring our two
working ends here together nicely at this point here and now when we tighten
up on this what we're doing is we're going to just keep pushing the knot down
so that it tightens up around those two ends that we're holding here so just
keep working your way around it hold them tight keep working round and just
pull up the slack and what we're doing is just forcing it downwards and
gradually you'll see then we end up with a nice secure and smart looking button
at that point there a toggle not as such or a toggle button not so anyway that is
what are you gonna do I'm just gonna go round and tighten it up a bit more and
then what I'll do is I'll show you on this one here exactly how I just created
that out of two different pieces of paracord okay so as you can see I've
tied it up a bit more and we have ourselves a nice pleasing toggle button
knot and here's the other one that I made in the red cordage and here is the
one that we did in the bracelet so let's get on now and just quickly show you how
I actually out of two pieces of paracord produce this bait bracelet it's very
easy very simple to do so the first thing that I did was I got myself a
piece of paracord and in that paracord I tied the toggle knot so let's just tie
an overhand knot here just to simulate the toggle knot so there we go put an
overhand knot in and there we go let's imagine that is my toggle knot at that
end there so it looks as pretty as pretty as that one there but it doesn't
look as pretty does it then the next thing I did was all I did was so you can
see here I've got one lead longer than the other and all I did was
I then formed a loop and then bought those two
so unform aleut at this end here and all I'm doing is at this point here just
butting them up next to each other so we now have ourselves a very long loop in
our cordage and then what I did after that was so that loop remained that join
remains there you don't need to glue it anything like that because the next
thing you do is at that end where your toggle knot is all I did was I tied the
Portuguese Senate or the Cobra stitches people know it and as I went along so
underneath so you can see here at this point here I have a join underneath here
at about that point there I have a join I've just butted them together and then
over the top of that I've tied the Portuguese Senate and it's not going to
come undone trust me it won't come undone if you tie it nice and tightly
and if you're slightly concerned that something's going to come undone you can
easily coat it with the finishing solution and I'll drop a link in the
video but i sorry drop a link in the description where you can see this
finishing solution being made up and you can use that on your knots to make your
knot stiffer protect your paracord from getting dirty if it does get a bit dirty
it's very simple just to wash it off and so that's basically all I did in making
that nice little toggle button knot and there we have two large toggle button
knots I wouldn't use these to be honest for
anything else because the knot itself will collapse if you put any pressure on
it so don't use it in any sort of climbing situation or anything like that
as a stopper knot it's not useful for that so it's just useful as a decorative
knot so once again thanks very much for watching and if you enjoyed it please
give me a thumbs up please do share this video cuz it certainly helps this
channel to grow thanks very much there bye-bye

How to Improve Your Affirmations (3 Easy Tips to Make Them Work Faster/Better) - Duration: 8:23.
Tara Wagner: Your affirmation should not feel silly, stupid, slow, or ineffective, so stick
around, and I'm going to give you three tips to change all of that.
Hit that subscribe button, and let's jump in.
Tara Wagner: What's happening, boss lady?
I'm Tara Wagner, your Belief Breakthrough coach, helping you to feel great as you build
your business, and I want to tackle a problem that I see a lot in the personal development
community.
I hear a lot of people struggling with affirmations, or I hear a lot of people touting information
about affirmations that doesn't make any sense and that isn't very helpful.
So we're going to talk about affirmations that actually work with three different tips,
and I have a little bonus tip for you at the end, so be sure to stick around for that.
Tara Wagner: Tip number one is the most important tip, and it's that your emotions matter more
than your words.
Language is a construct.
It's something that we use to express emotions and needs.
Your very first language was emotions, and therefore, a lot of the beliefs that you're
trying to change with affirmations are actually more emotional than they are practical or
tangible, or even describable.
This is the first place that I see people really messing up.
They get hung up on some juicy or spiritual sentence that they feel like is going to solve
all their problems, but if they're not connecting to it on an emotional basis, if it's not connecting
to their emotional core or the origin of the belief that they're trying to change, that
juicy sentence is going to have no impact on them whatsoever.
Tara Wagner: Along those same lines, if you're saying something in a very flat, unemotional
way, it's also not going to have an impact.
You really need to feel the things that you are saying in your bones.
If you don't feel it, it will not speak to your subconscious mind in the same way.
It will be slow.
It will be a little painful.
It'll probably be frustrating.
You're not going to see the results that you want to see.
So emotions over words.
Tara Wagner: Tip number two is about the words, and this is where I want you to focus on powerful
versus positive.
Everybody thinks that they have to have a positive statement, right?
An I Am statement.
But again, because words are triggering emotions, it's more important that you're using a statement
that is powerful, and sometimes the most powerful statement that you can possibly have is a
negative statement.
No is a powerful affirmation.
I am not is a powerful affirmation, and it is okay to use what some people will call
negative affirmations if it has a powerful, emotional, meaningful connotation for you.
Tara Wagner: Sometimes we need to state what we will no longer allow in order to move towards
what we actually want to embrace.
Sometimes we got to put up boundaries before we can start building something new.
So when you're thinking about powerful versus positive, don't ask yourself, "Is this a negative
statement?"
Ask yourself, "Is this a limiting statement?
Is it a discouraging statement?
Is it telling me that I can't, or is it enabling me, empowering me in something that I can
do?"
Tara Wagner: I would love to hear from you on this.
Leave me a comment below on a statement that you've used that was powerful, that allowed
you to change something in your beliefs or move something forward in your life, but that
maybe wasn't a positive affirmation.
Drop your comments below and let me know.
Tara Wagner: Tip number three is to baby step your affirmations.
Everybody wants to start off with an affirmation like I am a millionaire, but if you are flat
broke right now and you tell yourself I'm a millionaire, there's too much resistance
between where you are and where you're trying to be, and all that happens is that you snap
back to where you were.
So I want you to think of this like a rubber band, okay?
This is you.
This is your beliefs right now.
This is where you want to be.
You want to have that millionaire mindset.
If you sit there and you try to stretch and stretch and stretch, there's so much tension
on this that eventually it's just going to ... Ow ... snap.
It's going to snap back.
It's going to be a little painful, right?
That's not what we're wanting to do.
Tara Wagner: There's a natural limitation to the mindset that you have right now, and
what you need to do is learn to just stretch it just a little bit, just a little bit.
So instead of I am a millionaire, it's I am ready to learn how to make money.
I am ready to overcome my debt.
I am ready to change my habits.
I am open to the idea of abundance.
I am starting to see abundance all around me.
So on and so forth until you are finally slowly starting to stretch your new limiting beliefs
to something much bigger.
Pretty soon your comfort zone around money is going to be much bigger than this little
tiny thing that was keeping you trapped and stuck and in a lot of pain.
Tara Wagner: So this is what we need to do with our beliefs.
I want you to look at your affirmations as successive affirmations, starting with something
that's just slightly pressing up against your comfort zone, something that still feels good,
right?
Because we still want that emotional state to be a positive one or an exciting one, not
resistance to the belief that we are trying to instill.
Now, this could take days, this could take weeks, months, even years.
That's okay.
Allow yourself the time to baby step forward.
This is a really important process.
If you create too much resistance, you create too much resistance.
You're not going to want to do it.
You're going to stop in your tracks, and then your behaviors are going to match that limiting
belief, the limiting belief of I can't do this or that's silly or that's crazy.
You want to slowly step forward a little bit at a time in your beliefs, in the words and
the affirmations that you're using, as well as in your actions.
So again, step number three is successive affirmations, affirmations that build on each
other over time.
Tara Wagner: And now I have a little bonus tip for you.
Bonus tip number four is to combine your affirmations with aromatherapy.
Essential oils trigger your olfactory system and your olfactory neurons to carry messages
associated with the aroma directly into your limbic system.
Your limbic system is where all of your thoughts, your memories, your emotions, your triggers,
your beliefs are being stored.
So it's going to smell the aroma, and it's going to take the affirmation associated with
that aroma, the one that you're using, directly into your limbic system.
This is what makes the process faster and smoother and more enjoyable.
It's sort of like a secret back-door entrance because of how quickly it can help you to
write new thoughts over old thoughts.

How can I set up payment for my Moodle courses? - Duration: 2:37.
How can I set up payment for my courses? Moodle uses PayPal. As an administrator
you can enable this for all courses on the site and then you can add it to
individual courses and customise the settings. Learners who wish to purchase a
course must first have an account on the site. Watch our videos on how users can
access your Moodle to see how to do this. As administrator, click the Plugins tab,
scroll down to Enrolments and click Manage enrol plugins. Click the eye of
PayPal to enable it; then click settings to add your own details and preferences.
You'll need your PayPal business email which you will have set up beforehand.
This does not involve Moodle. Choose the other settings appropriate for you. For
example, you can set the currency and enrolment duration, you can specify a
standard fee for all courses or you can set these in individual courses.
Then access the course where you want to add PayPal. Note: if you want regular
course teachers to be able to add PayPal to their courses ,you need to give them a
special capability allowing this. Read the documentation to see how to do that.
In the course, click the Participants link on the left and then from the gear
icon click Enrolment methods. From the Add method drop-down select PayPal.
You can then if needed customise your settings to your preferences, for
instance the cost. Click the Add method button and you're ready to accept
payments. What do potential students see? When they have logged in they'll see the
course with the PayPal logo. Clicking the course reveals a button which they press
to go to their PayPal account to make the purchase.
To summarise: courses can be purchased with the PayPal enrolment plugin. This
must be enabled by the admin in Plugins >Enrolment plugins and can be added and
customised within each course from the Participants link by clicking Enrolment
methods from the gear icon.

How To Crochet Frankenstein Monster - Duration: 33:07.
hi guys welcome back this is Sharon Ojala and today we're making
Frankenstein's monster this is actually a video tutorial in two parts there's
one part for the head and that should be popping up on your screen and then this
video that you're watching is going to walk you through the steps of making the
body this actually isn't a beginner friendly pattern in this video I'm going
to show you everything that's out of the ordinary so we're gonna be doing color
changes together I'll show you how to weave in a yarn tail and we're done
the last roll of the shirt I'll show you how to insert the yarn to make the pants
and how to make the bridge between the legs I'll show you how to do the shoes
how to stuff them how to sew them in place I'll also show you how to shape
the jacket and assemble it also show you how to do the bolts and then sew the
head and the body together so that's what this video tutorial is for so
there's a written pattern this is free on my blog and that should be popping up
on your screen and again you don't need to click that right now it'll be there
for the duration of this video in the written pattern I give you the size I
also give you the order in which this video tutorial was filmed and everything
that was in the video is written down here so if you're looking for something
in particular then you want to look at this section I give you the supplies
list and I tell you how to read the rows which is important because my patterns
are written a little bit differently than most so that's a good little
section to start off reading and of course the written pattern for the body
of the doll at the very bottom of the pattern you'll find the green print
friendly buttons and there's also an opportunity to donate this is not an
obligation this is only if you can if you can't donate I give you other ways
that you can help support my blog and you just click that little link and I'll
tell you how you can support me and help me keep bringing you free patterns and
videos so of course you're going to be using the same hook that you use to make
the monsters head with and I used a four millimeter hook
I used a blunt and jerry' needle a pair of scissors of course a small amount of
polyester stuffing I used brown for the jacket and the
pants I use green for his skin color I used white for his shirt and his socks
and a little bit of black for his shoes and a tiny bit of gray for the bolts in
his neck if you use the same hook size and yarn weight that I did then you
should get a doll about six and a half inches tall alright guys real quickly
I'm going to show you a couple of things these are all free the pocket ghost is a
free written pattern on my blog and also here on my youtube channel the Cutie
pocket bat free written pattern on my blog and also here of my youtube channel
we got the grumpy pumpkin you can make him with or without the face and then
my creepy tree this is on my other channel called where the gnomes live and
I show you step by step in how to make this tree there's no wires in this guy
and there's no clay involved I also show you how to make his eyes glow so if
you're interested in making one of those there's still time before Halloween gets
us here and that link is in the description box below and it should also
be popping up on your screen alright guys we're going to start making our
doll in the next clip I'm going to show you how lightly to stuff the neck and
then we're going to jump into the color change and we'll do the color change
together so between the skin and the shirt so if you've never done color
changes before don't worry I'll show you how to do it in this video
all right guys grab your crochet hooks and let's get started I just finished
row eight and I have 16 stitches around and they're written patterns that's the
stop and stuff now you actually can stuff a little later on in the pattern
but let's just do what the pattern tells us to do now when you're stuffing the
neck you don't want to over stuff you see that looks pretty much the same
after its stuffed there and you want it to fit into the head nicely and we are
gonna permanently attach this after and I'll show you how to do that but yeah
you don't want to over stuff it so just a little bit of stuffing just to hold
that shape is all you don't need very much in there alright guys you can pause
the video now and you're ready to change colors we will do that together so you
can hit play again when you get to the row where we switch colors
alright guys I'm coming to the end of row 9 and I'm gonna switch colors this
is the last stitch of this row so I just put in one single crochet now I'm gonna
go back into the same stitch and put my second one but before I finish off I'm
going to switch colors so now I have 2 loops on the hook I'm gonna hold that
working yarn back here and then hold the new yarn color under the same finger get
ready to crochet on switch fingers now pull the new color through those two
loops and we've just switched colors so row ten is one single crochet in the
next two stitches and then two single crochets into that third stitch and then
repeat all the way around when you land at the market and be putting in two
single crochets of course so for this row there is going to be a little bit of
a color jump we're not going to worry about it because it's gonna be hidden
with the jacket so here's the first stitch of the next row when I go into
that stitch I'm gonna crochet around to the color change yarn tail so the
shorter one and that will just weave it in for me and I'll hide it so there's
one one single crochet in the next and then two single crochets in the stitch
after that and I'm still crocheting around that color change now I can let
go of those and that's that color change isn't going anywhere
I can let go of it and I can also cut it free from here look it just cut free
from that one and cut this one up shorter and I can continue on down with
my white I'm gonna do the end of that row and I'm gonna put my last sequence
in one single crochet in the next two and then two single crochets into that
third stitch this main color that I was working with if it's loose there just
give it a little tug there's a little gap just give it a little tug and then
you can crochet around it as well so this hold it along the edge and crochet
around it
all right I just finished off and I'm gonna weave this yarn tail in that's all
that means to leave it in its just bring it back I'm gonna go through bring my
yarn needle through the center of those stitches there this is all I'll need to
do for this they've brought it through
I'll carry it back and now I can cut it free and that yarn tail is taken care of
next we're gonna insert the pant color and if you turn this back the bottom of
this shirt flip it downward you'll see all the outer loops that we need to work
in and there's 30 of these so the last loop here is a bit of a jump from this
one and you've seen there's a jump between them so this is what I do I'm
going to pull my yarn through the first loop and chain one and this chain one
counts as the last stitch of the row so let's put a little marker in there so
I'm gonna put a single crochet in each one of those loops around and I'll speed
it up so you can see what the end looks like I just made it around and I put a
single crochet in that last loop and see there's that jump I was talking about
the beginning and I'm gonna single crochet into where I put that marker and
that last one there it counts thirty-some finished Row one of the
pants and I have 30 stitches around I'm gonna move my marker alright guys you
can pause the video now and finish the next few rows and we'll meet back here
at the end of Row 5 and I'll show you how to do the little bridge across
alright so now we're gonna create the little bridge between the legs and what
we do is single crochet into the 14th stitch from the hook so we count this
way one two three four and 14 single crochet into that stitch turn the piece
put a single crochet in the first stitch after the hook
and now single crocheted directly across
and that's all there is to that little bridge now we can finish off okay we can
stuff the body there's gonna push some stuff in beef in between those legs a
little bit more in there you don't need to stuff right to the edge of the legs
because the socks are gonna fit in there which I'm going to show you how to do in
the next clip as you can see the socks are gonna get pushed in there and it's
gonna hold that stuffing in place so let's make the socks in the shoes and
we'll do that in the next clip I'm just coming to the end of row four I'm gonna
put my last stitch in and this is where we're changing colors so I'm gonna go
ahead and start to stitch but I'm not gonna finish it couldn't leave those two
loops on my hook and I'll bring in my color change and I use black for the
shoes but because it's so hard to show up we're gonna use Brown so you can see
what I'm doing get ready to crochet on I'm gonna pull
the new color through those two loops and there we've switched colors now
we're moving on to row 5 and we're gonna be working in the front loops only for
the entire row we're gonna put a single crochet in the first front loop one
single crochet and now two single crochets in each of the next six front
loops
okay and now one single crochet in the next six front loops one single crochet
and now two single crochets into that last front loop this is the last stitch
of the row two single crochets break free from the white we don't need to use
that anymore we can not off these color changes here
that also helps bring the color change line up together pull the knot fairly
tight that kind of brings that color change line into each other cut those up
shorter there we finished row five and now we have 21 stitches around row six
we're working in both loops you're gonna wind up to add a marker and
one single crochet in each one of those 21 stitches and again you're working in
both loops of the stitch okay row seven we're working in the back
loops now and we're going to put one single crochet in the first back loop
and then crochet the next two loops together and now repeat all the way
around one in the back loop and then two together just finished row seven and now
we're gonna work in the back loops again but do not add a marker we're gonna
repeat the sequence four times one single crochet in the next two back
loops and then two back loops together and again repeat that four times one
single crochet in the first two back loops and now two two back loops
together there is once and that repeat that three more times one single crochet
in the next two back loops and then two back loops together
there we go this finished row eight and I'm going to finish off leave a nice
long tail for sewing we're gonna use this tail to sew up the gap
of the shoe and also to sew the foot into that body before we stuff the socks
in the feet let's weave in and out of the remaining stitches now if you can
weave in and out of the back loops if you can't don't worry about it this
weave in and out of the remaining stitches I'm gonna go in and out of
those back loops all the way around a
little bit difficult when you're working with black to see especially in such a
small around so if you can't do the back loops don't worry about it it's still
going to work out you can go through both loops of the stitch all the way
around to where you started now before we pull that gap we need to stuff the
foot the socks first of course and then we'll stuff a little bit into the foot
not too much
now pull that yarn tail to close up the gap knot it off so it holds that gap
closed so the way I designed the the shoe the where we did the color change
can sit on the inside where you won't see it so make sure when you shape your
shoe that that color change is facing the inside of the body so you don't see
it on the outside at all and see we don't want to over stuff it because we
want the bottom to be nice and flat but we're also going to make it flat by
pulling this up through here before we do that if we wanted to we could shape
the front here we could put a couple of stitches into the front of the shoe if
you want to do it's not necessary I didn't do it like for all of them I'm
just thinking about it now if your foot has been overstuffed you can put a
couple stitches in there to flatten it out see how that flattened it out there
and that's the front of the shoe once you're happy with this shape of the shoe
bring this up to the top of the sock and pull it until the bottom of the shoe is
flat you can put on the table and check it and see how flat it is once you're
happy with the fact that it's flat looks like a UFO once you're happy with how
that shape is then not this off right here it's very important to knot it off
here pull on this and it won't pull on this anymore
you just want it to pull on this part here so it's Soviets legs in place now
just push that stuffing up a little bit and where we finished off the shirt make
that the back so you have the color change in the back and where we finished
off the shirt that little dip there is in the back so I don't have to worry
about that and bring it right up through the center and out at the top of the
neck
and pull it into place and remember that color change jump you want on the inside
so bring the other one up there through the center and it should just stand up
on its own beautifully you don't have to do anything to it to make it stand up on
its own look at his little socks so cute okay so once you're happy with how it
looks then you're going to knock these off individually make sure the neck is
nice and straight not it off right up in the top
okay now the other one and don't cut these because we're gonna use these two
so the neck into the body as well well I guess that depends if you've used brown
for your shoes or any other color other than black then you can't use these yarn
tails to sew it in just not these often and to cut them up shorter if they're a
different color than the hair alright my friends I want to give you an option for
this for the shoes if you don't like this design here and you'd rather these
shoes be completely attached to the bottom of the pants you can totally do
that I've sewn the shoes to the pants these are a different type of shoe but
it's the same sort of DLC just so use your black and sew all the way around
and then when you're done you can take a chain put the brown or whatever you use
for the pant color and wrap it around the bottom and then you won't see any of
those black stitches down there and it look like his pants are cuffed at
the bottom so you can totally do that as well
you don't have to keep this design I like it it looks like his pants are too
short there's a flood coming and you can see a
sucks but some of you won't like it so you can sew the shoes right to the pants
and then add a little chain to create a cuff at the bottom so there's an option
for you alright guys we are almost ready to attach his head before we do that
let's add the two bolts on the neck and I think the easiest way to do it is to
get the gray yarn and we're gonna use double strand so what I mean by that is
we're gonna go in between the sixth and seventh row you just camp from up here
one two three four five six and seven in between there push your hook through
pull the yarn through and now we're going to chain three and we're going to
chain around both of these yarn strands one two and three
now we're going to finish off leave a tail long enough that you can use on the
other side of the neck pull the yarn tail through those loops and pull tight
now let's read them both and then bring your needle through to the other side in
between the sixth and seventh row hang on to that little chain and then pull
the yarn tails through now you can pull it into shape and now I'm going to use
my hook to make a chain here I'm gonna push through grab the yarn pull it
through and now chain three one two three and finish off bring the yarn tail
through that loop pull tight and now we just have to shape this one I'm just
gonna go through it doesn't really matter which side I use I guess bring
the yarn through and then up through the top of the neck come up anywhere you can
grow anywhere up there cuz that's gonna be hidden anyway
pull it through now pull into shape
so I'm not sure how much of it pick up a difference it makes but you can shape
this even further take one of the great iron tales and go back down and come out
where that bolt is and now wrap real tightly around that bolt grab the end of
it and just wrap real tight okay and once you're done that once you're done
wrapping it and you can just take this back up here and not off I'll have to do
this part it's just a little added detail I like little added details so
I'm going to bring it through and now cut free
okay that's lowers head and body together so thread the black yarn tails
and bring them right up through the middle of the head and up the top pull
them through put the head on there squish it down a little bit pull on the
air and Tails squish the head a little bit down further
pull on the yarn tails and that's done now you just have to knock these off so
I'm gonna bring one of the yarn tails out through a different stitch hole so
these can be nodded off not them off now you can spread this
both and carry them out anywhere and cut them free okay now I'm going to sew in
his collar so I just thread it to one yarn tail in the back I'm going to go
right through the back of the center and I'm gonna bring my yarn you don't great
through the center in the front right in between that green and the white there
pull it through wrap the chain around
and put it into shape and I'm gonna put a stitch right through the center of
that chain I'll go back into the body and I'll come out on the side and just
pulling snug enough to pull it into place
not too tight cuz it just alters the shape okay now put a stitch through the
center of the chain there and into the body and I'll come over you about here
and through the center of the chain again bring it down and I care about the
back but I might need more stitches but I think that will do it I'll check it
out here so I ended up putting stitches here here here on the sides in the back
I wasn't too worried about this part back here because I am going to be
having that jacket and that jacket is not gonna be taken off so I think we're
okay back here so I'm just gonna not those two together I will carry them
inside the body and cut them free next we're working on the arms and I'm gonna
show you how to do the bubble um alright guys I'm at the end of Row three I just
put one single crochet in those eight stitches and I'm gonna put a small
bauble into the ninth front loop only we're just working in that front loop
this one right here and we're gonna use three double crochet so yarn over go
into that front loop pull the yarn through you have three loops pull the
yarn through the first two loops only and now you have two loops remain you
we're gonna repeat this until you have four loops on our hook into that front
loop
pull through the first two loops only and we have three loops we're gonna do this
one more time into that front loop pull through the first two loops only and now
we have our four loops now we can pull the yarn through all four loops and
that's the end of our bubble so we're gonna start the next row we're going to
put one single crochet in the first stitch and then crochet two together and
we're repeating that sequence three times so let's do it together one single
crochet and now two together
repeat that one single crochet in the next stitch and two together and
repeating for the last time one single crochet and two together a little bit
awkward cuz a hole is very small now and refinish drill four and we should have
six stitches around so rows 5 through 7 is one single crochet in each one of
those six stitches for 3 rows so take your time very difficult to work in
these small rounds when you're new to crochet you can't find the stitch just
turn it towards you and look for the B
there I go I'm all finished row seven and I'm gonna finish off we don't need
any yarn tail for sewing we're not using this yarn tail at all once we're done
finishing off here so you can cut it up shorter you can stick a little bit
inside there it doesn't matter a dispute hanging a little bit it's totally fine
whatever you decide to do so here's my first one I've just sewed it in place
and when you're sewing the arm in you want to sew when you have it up against
the disparate any has to drag it on when you have the sleeve in place where you
finished off make sure that's facing the body so you don't have any finish off
jumps here so when you saw the arm in place we're gonna stow it only to this
part of the sleeve and not the top part cuz you'll want any sewing stitches
across here want to leave that free of stitches and when I did to sew it in is
I just pulled both yarn tails there's my starting your in tails still hanging
there and my finishing yarn tail reach in there with my hook and I'm gonna pull
them go through and I can use this starting hair and tail to sell the arm
in place if you don't have one there if you've already gotten rid of it don't
worry about it and the other thing to keep in mind of course is you want the
thumbs to face each other so I make sure you're sewing on the right side bring it
down I can feel it in there I just brought the needle through the arm
inside I go I went through the arm again on the inside you see I'm just sewing
the arm inside to this side of the sleeve that's all I'm doing okay now I'm
just gonna finish off
so let's shape the front of the jacket now you can see the top part here where
we just did the collar I want that flap down on both sides and also the front
part here I'm just going to sew that back just a little bit like that just to
hold it in place I'm going to use my starting Aran tail and I'll add a couple
of stitches there and if this needs a little help I can stitch that down too
but it looks like it's gonna stay pretty good on its own so I'm gonna knock this
off back here I'll carry this away and cut it free I'm just gonna so this
little bit back here it was gonna be my my finishing yarn tail down one stitch
and then so this little piece down so it matches this side just check and make
sure I don't need to sew this down I might need to sew this end one here a
little bit more finicky because it doesn't totally match this side so I can
just add a stitch here just to hold it down just one stitch will do there we go
now I'm gonna knot off and I'm gonna use this yarn tail to sew the jacket in
place so I'm not gonna cut it free but I'll carry it down a little ways I'll go
in between stitches here all right guys you can sew the jacket on and then sew
the sleeves on if that's easier or you can place it on the body here and then
just see where the sleeves will go and now you can pin the jacket in place
before you do this part or you can just I it up like I'm doing I'm gonna hold
that spot and now I'm gonna sew the sleeve in and I'm not gonna bring any
stitches to the outside of the sleeve out here because we don't want to see
any of those I'm just gonna sew around the top and the sides
and I'll do one more here
and that is sown in oh I can do over here just one more over here
okay now I'm going to knock off just be sure that you're happy with those arms
before you start sewing and like I said you can also sell the jacket to the body
and then so the arms in place it's up to you okay so for sewing the jacket I
actually just start back here I don't want to sew anything in the front and
I'm going to go through the body and I'm gonna come up through the jacket just to
get my starting stitch in there and again you can pin this in place before
you start sewing make sure that you're totally happy with it and I'm gonna go
back into the body and I'll come up anywhere else where it's comfortable to
come through and I don't want to pull anything too tight alters the shape that
way just pull light enough to bring
everything into place so I'm gonna go through the body again and come up
behind that arm over there carry the yarn tail through and that's already
sewn in place actually let me go back down again and come up through the
center in the back and just check and see what I could do is put a little
stitch here in front of the arm one stitch there go through the back oh yeah
that feels better already okay and I'll do the other arm to go
through the body and then come up right in front of the arm over here
and then back down through the body and else you the center of the back and
let's see how that is that's perfect yeah I'm happy with that and now I'm
just gonna nod off alright my friends that brings us to the end of this video
tutorial I hope you enjoyed making yourself a little monster doll if you

How much mortgage can I get approved for? (Animated) - Duration: 1:58.
- [Mujtaba] DNS in an important part
of the approval process.
So, there are certain criterias and guidelines
we'd like your credit to be at
to see maximum, minimum approval amounts.
So, if your beacon score is technically above 680
where we wanna be at, we want your TDS,
which kinda stands for total debt ratio,
so a total debt ratio is what we take,
is we take your income, we take your monthly obligations,
plus the new monthly obligations of your home
you're looking at buying, which is gonna be
your mortgage payment, property taxes,
utilities, we want that to be around 44% of your income
and the reason why the banks wanna be able to do that
is we want the extra 64,
I'm sorry, 56%
to be available just in case you might need it.
We don't want you to be house poor for sure.
So, if your beacon score is above 680,
we can go to a maximum 44% of your TDS
but unfortunately, if it's lower than 680,
we want to be at 42% of TDS.
And these are just bank accounted guidelines
that we take a look at.
We also look at something called GDS
which is your gross debt ratio,
which is just technically the housing costs
that we talked about.
For the housing costs, once again,
it's just your mortgage payments,
your property taxes, and your utilities
that technically could be part of the home.
We want that to be, once again,
if your beacon score is around 680,
we want that to be around 39%,
which is the maximum, you know,
if your beacon score is less than 680,
we unfortunately can't go more past 35%.
When we say someone has a beacon score of 680
it just means to the bank that one out of 680 people
would most likely default on a loan
compared to someone who might have a beacon score of 700.
So, one out of 700 is, it's less riskier to the bank
compared to one out of 680 or even one out of 600.

How to Establish a Devotional Life | Bible Teaching - Duration: 3:32.
So you know you need to establish a devotional life but you just don't know
how. Maybe you just started reading your
Bible and praying or even reading your Bible and praying for a long time, but
there's been no consistency to your devotional life. If that sounds like you
keep watching this video.
Here are four simple things you can do to help establish a devotional life.
Start simply. The most common mistake people make when they start reading the
Bible and praying is they're a bit too ambitious and they read and pray way
more than they can actually sustain. They try and sit down for thirty minutes and
read the Bible and pray when in reality they had never really read the Bible and
prayed for more than five or ten minutes. So going from that length of time to
30 minutes is a massive jump. What typically happens is frustration starts
to set in because they can't actually continue with that discipline daily
because it's just a bit too much and then they start to feel guilty that
they're actually not a good Christian because they can't sit down to read the
Bible and pray. If you don't have a devotional life then just start simply.
Read one chapter and pray for five minutes, and just try that and then increase
over time. Find a good time. Establishing a discipline is all about routine and
consistency. So what you need to do is find a good time to read your Bible and
pray. For me the best time is just after my morning routine or in the
mid-afternoon. Those are two excellent times. I'm not really a morning person
when it comes to my devotional life and my evenings are pretty scatterbrained so
that's usually where it's best for me. Just decide what works best for you and
schedule it in and try and stay consistent. Remember the first thing keep,
it simple. Seek accountability. Try and find one or
two people who have already expressed an interest in wanting to establish a
devotional life and try and keep each other accountable by weekly asking each
other whether you guys actually did your devotions. If that becomes a bit too
difficult, maybe post what you read on social media so that people who are
keeping you accountable can know that you've read and prayed. Establishing a
new discipline can be so difficult by yourself so it needs to happen in
community. Set goals. And the purpose of
goal-setting is to help this thing that you want to make a discipline become a
natural extension of your life and who you are. When it comes to goal-setting be
realistic and don't be a hero like I said before if you've only really read
your Bible a little bit and prayed for five minutes on and off, don't start with
thirty minutes. Start with five. Do that for a few weeks then go to 10, 15, 20 then
30 or however much time you want to give to your devotional life. Establishing a
devotional life is so important to establishing a relationship with God and
growing intimacy with God. Just trust me on this. When you start establishing a
consistent and disciplined devotional life you will be wanting to go back
because the presence of God is so good and so sweet it will just become a
natural extension of who you are and who you want to be, which is somebody who
engages with God and has a relationship with him. Don't forget that if you liked

How Much Experience Do I Need to Trade? - Duration: 6:14.
- So this video lesson,
I'm going to teach you whether or not
you need experience in order to stock trade.
(exciting music)
What's up?
Tim Sykes, millionaire mentor here
answering your questions.
A lot of people ask me
do you need experience to start.
Um, to start what, to start trading?
Yes, you need experience studying.
To start studying?
No, you need no experience whatsoever
because you're just focused on learning.
The sooner you start studying,
the sooner begins your entire process.
Because first, you do need to study
what is a stock, what are these patterns,
how do you actually trade them,
what broker to have, all the stuff that I teach.
After enough studying, you are ready for trading.
And now a lot of people say Tim,
I'm just gonna trade right away,
I don't need to study, I'll learn as I go.
You will get obliterated.
90% of traders lose money.
Never forget that stat,
there's been several academic studies.
Brokers don't wanna talk about it,
no one in the industry really wants to talk about it
because then everyone's like well,
if 90% of people lose, like, that's really low odds.
That's anything in life!
Anything worth doing, you're not gonna have good odds.
What are the odds that you're gonna be in the NBA?
Freakin' less than 10%, okay?
Probably 0.001% and you need to be genetically gifted.
With training you don't need to be genetically gifted.
I know a lot of the top traders,
they're fat, ugly, weird,
their genetics are bad, but at least
they have work ethic and they have knowledge.
And how did they get that knowledge?
They studied a lot.
What did they study?
Study patterns, study trends, study rules.
This is what I teach, you have to remember,
I had no experience when I started.
My parents gave me roughly $12,000
in my bar mitzvah gift money,
they thought I would lose it all.
They thought that it would be a good lesson for me, okay?
I would learn like, the value of a dollar.
Instead, I screwed up all their plans,
I made six figures senior year of high school.
I made nearly seven figures
between freshman and sophomore year in college.
I did make seven figures before I graduated college.
So I learned, but I also started during the tech bubble.
So I was in the right place at the right time.
You are not necessarily in a bubble right now, okay?
Unless you live in New York, Miami, or L.A.,
but that's another video.
This is not any kind of stock market bubble,
we have been in a bull market.
In fact, this is the longest bull market in history.
So it's a good time, but you're not gonna
turn 12,000 into nearly two million in four years
like I did, given the current market environment.
My top student, Tim Grittani, has turned
1,500 of his own money into seven million,
but it's taken him seven years.
For the first nine months he made nothing.
So be prepared to make nothing.
Be prepared to lose a little bit.
I'll teach you how to lose, and somebody will say
what, you're gonna teach me how to lose,
I don't need you to learn how to lose,
I can lose on my own.
You need to learn to lose small.
You need to learn how to control your risks,
to manage your losses, to not let small mistakes
turn into potential big disasters.
I'll teach you that.
So a lot of people say oh, I need experience to start.
You don't need anything!
You need the right mindset to start.
You need to understand that this is difficult,
but with enough training, with enough mentorship,
with, frankly, enough patience,
you can be successful in time.
And you need to have that perspective from the beginning.
'Cause a lot of people think oh,
I'm gonna get into the stock market
and I'm gonna make all this money right away.
That's not reality, that's dreams.
Okay, that's not real.
You'll probably make nothing
for quite a bit of time, just being real.
And in fact, if you're like most traders,
you'll probably lose.
But we can manage those losses.
You can learn to break even and over time,
one, two, three, four years,
you'll learn to spot the hottest stocks.
You'll learn to take the meat of the move.
You'll learn to grow your account exponentially
like my top students and I have done.
But you need to have the proper training
and you need to have dedication all throughout.
You're gonna have friends, you're gonna have family,
everyone saying this is a scam,
penny stocks are a scam, Tim Sykes is a scam.
I've heard it all before.
If you think that, don't learn.
Don't waste my time, 'cause I'm not a scam.
But I do require dedication,
'cause I have thousands of video lessons,
thousands of webinars, and dozens of DVDs,
all of which you're gonna have to watch.
Because this is not an exact science.
This is not like me teaching you math,
nine plus seven equals 16, no.
In different market environments, different equations work.
It's not like oh, let me just find
the exact value of the company
and that's what the stock price should be.
I'm sorry, it doesn't work like that.
Everything is moving, this is like a moving target.
I made a video lesson the other day.
I showed a scene from the movie Interstellar,
when Matthew McConaughey is like,
spinning out of control and he's trying to dock
on this space station that's spinning out of control,
and he has to match like, the space station,
like the same spinning out of control,
and then y'know, they connect and they actually succeed;
Interstellar is a great movie.
But that's what this is, the stock market is always moving.
You're always moving and you have to try
to match the best you can with a moving target.
And I'll teach you.
That's the beauty of this, you don't have to be afraid.
You have a mentor that I never had.
My job every single day is to be the mentor to you
that I never had, so you're in good hands if you trust me.
Leave a comment just below,
let me know if you're gonna be dedicated.
Let me know if you're gonna be patient.
That's the key to success in this game.
Hey, Tim Sykes, millionaire mentor and trader.
Thank you for watching my videos, I hope that they help you.
I want to share everything that I've learned over the years.
You can check out more videos right over there
and also click subscribe
so that you can watch all of these videos,

How To Get Lowes And Home Depot Locations For Your Hot Dog Cart - Duration: 22:30.
Well, good morning.
Howdy! Howdy!
Howdy! Folks.
It is a beautiful morning here in the mountains.
Look at that river behind me. Got The fire pit going.
It's chilly. Cold.
I think it's about 37 degrees. It's why I got my noggin warmer on and
um, get this computer to straighten up here.
Anyway, I'm going to give a little bit of time
for people to get here. I want to talk to you about,
um, vending at home depot and lowe's.
Been getting a lot of questions. Hey Nick,
glad you're here. And,
but before I do that, before I go into the home depot and
Lowe's, I want to give some time for people to
get here. I see we got several.
I'm matt. How you doing brother?
Thanks. Thank you all for being here.
And um,
how's it going nick? It's going good.
It's going good. All right.
Um, let's see here.
Um, look here.
I want to show you something pretty. Got The fire going.
It's about 37 degrees. There's the river behind me.
Um, well I call it a river or creek.
Um, got my noggin warmer and I'm happy to be
here. Monster Burgers.
Checkout Garrett here from Dublin, Ireland.
I'm Jim Smith and a house. Thanks for being here Jim.
Um, so I want to talk about home depot and
Lowe's. I've been getting a lot of questions.
Got Several overnight last night. And then I got up this morning.
There was two on youtube comments and one on my ass ben page and I was like,
good grief. What's the deal with Lowe's and home
depot to. Is there a rush on getting vendors
there? And I've talked about this before but I
want to update it.
Um, because they've made some updates.
Well here's the deal. I hate paying for.
I'm paying for a location and let me, you know what j d,
You just brought up something I wanted to bring up real quick.
I'm jd just brought up winter vending and it being cold and it is cold.
Okay. And for a lot of people it's cold and
just talking to a vendor this morning, like 7:00
AM in Florida and they got a cold front. They're like down to 80 or something and
they're freezing. They had to,
you know, put socks on before they put the flip
flops on. But if you go over to learn hot
dogs.com, just go to [inaudible] dot com.
You'll see it. The,
I'm on the front page there, I update that with new articles and I
just did a brand new one on hot dog vending in the winter and how to make
money with it even without a cart.
Okay. Um,
some cool people doing some amazing stuff in the winter.
Um, even just coffee.
Um, w what do you see it?
It's called hot dog vending in the winter or what?
Check that article out. I've got coffee from your hot dog cart
right below that. Um,
and then I, I did an update it how to build a
portable concession sink people or do art and they need to have a concession
sink if their state requires. And so I show you how to build one
quick, cheap,
easy. Okay.
Um, and then I did an article called the red
and blue pill. If you got some time it's worth the
read. And check it out as well.
Um, let me go back over here.
Um, yeah.
Cold, cold weather equals dollars.
Get those onions fried. Exactly.
Smells good. Comfort foods do fantastic.
But enough about the winter.
Let me tell you, let me tell you why I'm here in case you
just joined us. I'm going to be talking about the
vending at Lowe's and home depot. A lot of questions about it.
And people are, you know,
it's, it's the obvious choice.
It's like Walmart, you know,
you're like, how do I get that location?
I want to have lowe's or home depot and you know,
if you all followed me for very long, you saw me about,
uh, it's been about nine,
10 years ago now. I interviewed a vendor in surprise,
Arizona. Okay.
I went out there as Oana and filmed, her name was Jackie and she had been
vending 14 years at the home depot and, and she,
this and I'll go into more of this in a minute,
but she made a lot of money. Okay.
And she moved to Florida now.
Um, but the,
it is, it is a wise idea.
Okay. The idea,
the concept of working, but I hate paying for a location.
Well, why would you have to pay?
Right? Because a lot of people like me,
I went to my lowe's or home depot and said,
hey, it was actually my lows and said,
hey, oh,
you know, um,
how would you like it if we set up our car here?
And they were like, yeah,
we'd love it. And then the district manager comes by a
couple months later. It's like a,
you can't do, you have,
um, you have the deal for being here.
We have a company that manages this. Now what's happened is lowe's and home
depot and in the vending business, okay.
The managers love to have a vendor there.
Most of the time they love it. The problem comes in is that lowe's and
home depot don't have time to deal with it.
So what they do is hire a third party company.
That third party company used to be known as street eats and you can find
their website it streets, but it's spelled s,
t, r e a t,
s.net. And I've referred people to that for
years. They are a pain in the ass.
Okay. To put it bluntly,
they're a pain in the ass to deal with. They'll won't answer your phone call.
They don't answer emails. Hardly ever.
They're horrible. Which is more to my point about this,
but the key point is they charge. They charge a fee.
How do they set those fees? They base it on what they think the
store's volume is, but they won't tell you that
information. They won't tell you what the store's
volume is. They'll just say at least at least all
the vendors I've talked to recently that have missed with streets and I'll tell
you how to find them here in a minute because they've changed their name.
That's called best vendors.com. If you go to best vendors.com,
they are management consortium of some sort who literally do nothing for you
other than charge you a fee. And a lot of them will start their fee
out high. So if you decide,
you know what Ben, it's worth it to me.
I'll, I'll want to lowe's or home depot.
I think I could kill it and you might, you might do really good.
They're going to give you a price once you apply to $50 I think to apply and
then they're going to give you all these rules that you have to agree to
uniforms. You have to be there seven days a week
and I'm going to go into that a little more.
I'm not trying to scare you. I'm going to go into how you get around
all that and, and they're going to have all these
rules. I mean a whole list of rules and you
will pay. Okay.
Um, I think I have.
Yeah, I'm going to put that off for there.
I'm sorry I was blocking the page there. So you were going to pay for a fee to
them, to them best vendors.
Now how much is the fee? I've seen it as high as 1500,
$2,000. My fire just fell.
I just heard it. Look at that.
It just fell over. But isn't that beautiful?
Um, cold morning though.
Cope. Um,
so anyway,
um, the,
they may charge you $1,500. You can negotiate with them,
you can't, they don't like you to.
They don't even like you to know that you could and you can say,
listen, I'll do it on a trial basis at $400 a
month, but they're going to have all these
rules that you have to agree to. You can't negotiate the rules,
but here's what I will tell you. You'll never see them.
I personally spoke with Jackie in an interview.
I was there in person with her in 14 years.
She never saw them. They don't come.
They don't have the staff to come. Okay,
and unless something recently changed, all they're in it for the money.
They collect the money and then tell you,
yes, you can go in there and send them a
check every month. Okay,
and I want you to sign a contract. That contract has all those rules,
but they ain't chicken.
They're not checking. I've never heard of a vendor being
checked by street eats. Now when you go to best vendors.com,
if you go up to the top, to the services,
you'll click it and it a scroll down to the bottom and it says,
it says st eats and that's their lowe's home depot.
If you'll notice on their site, no phone number,
even though they say 24 hour customer service,
blah, blah,
blah. They don't have any of that.
Okay. Um,
it, it's a nightmare to deal with them.
It will be a process. They heard one of my videos where I was
ranting about them one time and they contacted me and said,
hey, we would like to discuss this with you.
We've changed things up now and we beloved to discuss it with you.
And I said, that'd be great.
We can do a live video, you know,
we can do a live show.
And they said, yeah,
we do that. And I said,
well, let's do it.
Never heard from him again. Never heard from him again.
And I wouldn't want to like, you know,
do some kind of Gotcha media deal. I'm not a reporter.
I was just going to express my concerns. And then talk with them,
but they, they,
they literally just have figured out a way to make money off of you working.
So let's say that you did a deal with them for $500,
that $500 in profit, right?
That's 500 of your profit that you're going to have to pay them before you
make a dime. It may be $1,500
a month. Now is it worth it?
Yes. I've got vendors,
I know vendors who are doing seven to $10,000
a month, that'll lowe's and home depot.
So yes, it's worth it.
Yes, you can make money with it,
but it's not, it's.
I never suggest it to a new vendor. Number two,
there's so many better locations. And if you go over to the
blog@learnedhotdogs.com, you'll see a list of those locations.
You'll see a list of those locations. I want to put something up on the
screen, I need to put a title problem.
Um, get lowe's and home depot location right
there. How's that?
Um, but it should say don't get lowe's and
home depot locations. I'm against.
It. Can you tell I'm a little biased.
I've talked to thousands of vendors. I've had vendors try it and hate it.
I've had vendors go to lowe's and home depot and not do well sometimes that was
they're doing and we fix those problems and they still didn't do well,
so we knew that it had to do with, with the location,
not a good location. Sometimes Lowe's and home depot may put
you at an end of the building that does not have any traffic,
so you want to ensure that you get a location either coming in or going out,
you want to be at the exit doors or whatever I like and I found the best
results to be at the contractor entrance.
That has been the best, but some contractor entrances are in the
back where nobody sees you except the contractor.
So you don't pick up any extra customers.
If that's the case, don't go there.
Go to the front of the building and at least the contractors to see when they
drive through the parking lot. So you want to keep those things in
mind. Um,
let me make sure I don't forget anything.
I'll need to take a sip of my Diet Pepsi and then I'm going to go to your
questions. If you've got any questions about lowe's
and home depot, I'll help you out with it.
It is a viable opportunity. It is a challenge though and I never
recommend it. The people,
I never recommend lowe's and home depot, but I will tell you some something that
I did come up with it. We'll,
we'll get you in there without using the company.
So
I made a course, um,
if course updated it this year and it's a how to get any location you want and
so you can get any location you want and,
and if you want that, if you want to see what that's about.
Goto. Let me type this in real quick.
Let's see.
And a nine to nine. Let's see.
Learn hot dogs.com location.
Okay. Now this is a paid course,
but there's tons of free information to just learn hotdogs.com
and type in the word location in the search box.
I've got tons. I've got over 20 articles,
at least 20 articles just on just on location,
getting okay with, with Lowe's and home depot.
I've got over 150 articles on locations period so I can help you with locations
without you buying anything. But this,
this course learn hot dogs.com, forward slash location.
That's a course and that course has some secrets in it.
You'll see why I don't give that out. Um,
because there's people that will take advantage of it.
I'm in a bad way and it hurt us all because it's a way to get in front of
Lowe's, Home Depot,
Walmart for free without having to go through another company.
Um, so,
um,
here, here's a question about lowe's home
depot, if you got a question about lowe's and
home depot, get into the other questions in a
minute, but I want to do those first.
Um, um,
let's see, where did that question go?
Do New Lowe's and home depot dictate your pricing.
The company, not them.
The company, um,
best vendors.com. Best vendors.com
has a street. Each department,
that's their lowe's home depot department.
They determine the pricing and they base that off of the volume of the store
does, but they will not share that with you.
They'll just tell you, oh,
that's one of the best stores in America.
That's one of the busiest. You're going to need to pay us.
Seventeen 50 a month. Okay.
So, Hey Darrell,
glad you're here. This is in the house.
Um, so let me go.
Let me go through here. If you've got a question about lowe's
and Home Depot, let me answer those first and then I'll
go off on any tangent you want. Um,
let's see. I love this.
Garrett. Put Up.
Um,
look, Rick just proved my point.
Okay. Or are solidified my point.
I said in the beginning of this, um,
today I said comfort foods work better in the winter and I tell you how to Vin
those. Um,
I've got an article over on the blog. It's right near the top.
Go to [inaudible] dot com. Scroll down a little bit.
You'll see it winter vending or not, or what?
And it talks about comfort foods. He says,
my Chili is out my dogs on colder days it will.
I've got vendors that have found that their coffee out sold their dogs.
I'm not. The dogs don't still sell it.
Still brings them in, but they,
they, they get two cups of coffee.
Alright. Um,
I'm 40 miles south of the Canadian border.
I'm thinking taking a permit spot down Washington and covering my cart with
Costco car port and a big propane heater.
That absolutely works. John.
Um, it does.
We have vendors doing it. We have vendors in Canada who are
vending now in the cold weather, the brutally cold weather.
We got a shift there that left his professional chef career and started
vending and he's got blow heaters to propane heaters.
Um, let's see,
um, Johnny Depp town dogs in the house.
Thanks for being here. Um,
let's see, David,
thanks for being here. Um,
look, Jeanette's I'm from brewster.
Absolutely. Just completed my first month working
weekends at a haunted house in Michigan. Eight day 17,
75 kicked, but mike kicked butt.
That's freaking awesome. Congratulations to you.
We've got some vendors. I had some vendors call me this weekend,
we did a show on vendors united last night,
but some vendors that we talked about this,
but we had some vendors that made thousands of dollars this weekend at the
corn mazes. I mean,
unbelievable the money that vendors are making during the fall and winter.
Um, let's see.
Um, let's see,
I already answered that. Mic Pack.
Grosser net. I'm Dan.
I don't know Dan. I'm not sure what you mean by gross or
net if you're talking about with Lowe's and home depot does,
you're not going to find those numbers from them,
from the company van. Um,
best vendors.com is where you'd go to find the street,
each section. Then you have to fill out an online form
and then they'll charge you a $50 bucks. I think it is for the application before
they'll even tell you the price of the location.
And then they were a nightmare to get a hold of.
And it's a nightmare. I think they have too many chiefs and
not enough Indians and they probably, it's probably a two person operation.
Um, I mean literally they're horrible,
horrible to deal with them.
Um,
we were located selling coffee and dogs all week,
kettle corn, um,
Saturdays, just all five,
five and Tacoma Smack Dab right in front of 72nd street.
Home Depot for years and deal we made was I had to pressure wash the whole
sidewalk in front of the store every Sunday night.
Lol. We did great.
John Martin, that's a great,
a great plan right there. Um,
my goals in the house. Um,
thanks for being here Michael. I'm just linked the deal for a grand
opening where the company is paying all at once.
So I'll be doing. Is serving food already paid for a
holiday festival, launching at an auto auction.
Will be there every Wednesday if all goes well.
Nick Ramsey, that's freaking awesome.
Um, you know,
Frankenstein's over the mountain. He did.
He just did a location where it was a company picnic type deal,
fall festival, family day or something.
And they had, they pre bought 500 needles.
He, he took both carts,
his cash cow and his big dog and his wife ran one.
He ran the other. They only ate about 200 mils that left
him when he got paid for 500 and left him with 300 mills,
so he got to use those the following week at his location because he hadn't
cooked them yet or done nothing. And,
and so he got the, he got paid twice on his meals.
It's great. Um,
if you want to know what Nick's talking about,
that's catering and it's not the kind of catering you're thinking of.
Um, go to learn hot dogs.com
and type in the word catering. I'm in the search box.
Go ahead and call this live stream. In the process of getting started over a
busy, profitable stand,
um, started taking over a busy,
profitable standing.
Awesome. Awesome.
Awesome. Um,
but that's it. Lowe's and home depot.
Let me sum this up for you. And just in case you just got here.
Okay. Let me sum up,
um, and I'm going to put that location.
Somebody asked about to put that back up.
Um, so,
um, lowe's and home depot almost sum it up
for you, is managed by a third party.
That third party is horrible to deal with.
Poor customer service, poor everything.
They will charge you a fee to be there. You can negotiate the fee.
They will have all these rules that you have to agree to apply.
You know, they'll ask you.
I've had new vendors call me up being um,
street eats is telling me street eats is the,
the old man for best vendors. Okay.
Street eats is telling me that I have to have been in business for five years.
Just put that you were, that it didn't say how long have you
been in the restaurant? How long,
how much experience do you have in the restaurant business?
And, and,
and it has say, you know,
you fill in the blank, we'll put five years or 20 years or
however long you've been alive because you've probably been to a restaurant
over your life. And that would mean that you have
experience with the restaurants, right?
Um, it's a play on words,
but it'll work. They do not really care.
Here's why they pitched that. I believe this is my opinion.
Okay? This is my opinion.
I believe they put those rules in place so they can show corporate,
home depot and corporate logos. Hey guys,
look here, look at all this.
We require of them all this stuff that we make them.
Do we have a schedule? We find out if they have experience,
we make him have their uniform and it's all bullshit.
Okay. It's complete horseshit it.
They don't check none of that crap. They don't care about it.
All they care about is the money. They just want the money.
And as soon as home depot and lowe's figures out,
there'll be okay. If one of y'all wants to start a
business, compete with street eats,
contact corporate lowe's and Home Depot. I'll pitch you if you're a good company
because I have never had any luck with them.
Um,
there's Jeanette, she says rural King,
Ag Supply Co op tractor supply. There's tons of that that you can do.
I've done bass pro, Gander Mountain,
all those do good.
Um,
yeah. John says,
the one thing I've learned watching all your videos,
if you have a will, there's way.
Thank you. You're welcome.
John. Thank you for saying so.
Um,
look at this, John j Dot d says my cart and myself
will be in costume for Halloween, make an extra Chile for the cold plan on
killing it with Halloween. Big money abso-freaking-lutely.
And keep in mind I'm going to do another video later.
Not Today, but there's a lot of stuff coming.
You Got Black Friday events where we had a vendor make over 20 grand in three
days at a black Friday event from a hot dog cart.
He froze his butt off. He even camped out with a tent.
He did the whole black Friday event. Made over 20 grand.
Um,
thank you matt. Matthew,
thank you. A bunch.
Um, anyway,
that's it. I want to,
I'll leave it there. I hope that helps.
You have summed up Lowe's, home depot.
I gave you my two cents. If you pursue it,
there's ways to pursue it. There's tips and tricks with it.
You can do it. Um,
I love you. Hope you have a great freaking day and
stay warm.

How do I work with participants? - Duration: 2:14.
[Music plays]
(Narrator) Once you are registered and have connected with participants,
it's time to get to work.
This short overview of Section Five of the Provider Toolkit
shows you how to follow the guidelines around
making service agreements and service bookings.
It's not about telling you how to deliver your services,
it's about how to manage your services using the myplace provider portal.
Once you've been chosen by a participant
as their service or support provider,
you should make a Service Agreement together.
This is to be based on the participant's
approved National Disability Insurance Scheme, or NDIS, plan.
The Service Agreement outlines both of your expectations
about the supports and services and how they'll be delivered,
to make sure you're on the same page.
Section Five has information
on what you should put in your Service Agreement,
as well as a link to a Model Service Agreement
that you can use as a starting point.
An Easy English Guide to Service Agreements can be used
to make sure everyone understands what's involved.
After you've made a Service Agreement with a participant,
you must create a Service Booking online
using the myplace provider portal.
The Service Booking outlines the details of the service you'll provide
to the participant,
plus information such as the date of each appointment
and how much money you'll be paid.
Both participant and provider need to accept the Service Booking
before the service is delivered.
The Provider Toolkit also has a link to detailed instructions
in the step by step guide on using the myplace provider portal.
The National Disability Insurance Agency, or NDIA, Terms of Business
include rules and guidelines around managing and delivering services.
It's important to know and follow the Terms of Business
to make sure that both participants and providers
have a positive experience.
Remember that you can refer to the Key Resources
and Help and Support sections for more information at any time.
Wherever you are in the provider pathway,
we hope this Toolkit helps you understand the NDIS better,
and what you have to do to make it a success.

How to implement three phase on MATLAB / How to refine the waves of scope - Duration: 6:44.
In this video I will show how to implement a three phase circuit on MATLAB
open matlab and then open simulink
open a new model
copy two more sources as we require three sources for making 3 phase
i am connecting the sources in Y connection
you may also know it as star connections
consider this as our first phase
so, set the phase angle to zero
consider this as our second phase
as you would know in three phase, the phases are shifted by a phase angle of 120 drgrees
this will be our third phase
so, it should be 120 degrees shifted from the second phase that is 240 degrees
ctrl + r to rotate
change to resistor in this demonstration i will consider resistive loads only
place two more resistors
change the resistance to 10 ohms
also, i will connect the in Y or star connection
connecting the phases to the loads
place voltage measurement
connect one parallel to each source
make sure you are connecting the voltage measurement with respect to the polarities
place mux
change number of inputs to 3
make connections
place scope
place mux
make connections
place powergui block
now click run
open scope
click auto-scale
as you can see that we have our three waves but they are not smooth
to correct this
click on configuration settings
click on data and import
set the refine factor to 100
now click run
open scope
as you can see that now our wave is smoother than before
zoom in for a better view of the three phase
now lets see for loads
so this is how you implement a 3 phase circuit on matlab
thanks for watching

If you or a loved one has been injured as the result of the medical negligence of another,
give us a call.
We'd be happy to discuss your case.
You can call us at 304-345-1122.

How can I add groups to my Moodle? (cohorts) - Duration: 3:31.
How can I add groups of users to my Moodle?
First of all let's look at two Moodle terms for groups of users:
A cohort is a group of users created by the admin and available throughout the site or
a category.
You can enrol cohort sinto a course.
When users are removed or added to a cohort they will appear in the courses where they
are enrolled.
A group, as Moodle uses the term, only exists within a single course.
A course can have several groups and the teacher can create these manually or the admin can
upload them with a file.
This video looks at cohorts.
If you need to create Moodle groups in courses, watch our video on How can I add groups to
my courses?
Cohorts can be created manually or with a file upload.
To create cohorts manually, your users need to already have accounts on your Moodle.
From Site administration click >Users and click Cohorts.
Click Add a new cohort.
Give it a name.
Choose whether you want this cohort available throughout the site or in a particular category.
Give it an ID and description if you wish.
By default teachers in courses can see and add cohorts.
If you don't want them to see this cohort, remove the tick from Visible.
Click Save changes.
On the next screen, click the Assign icon and move the users you want from the right
into the left.
To create and upload cohorts with a csv file your file needs to look like this:
You upload it from Site administration>Users>Cohorts by clicking the Upload cohorts tab.
And here are the uploaded cohorts, not yet with any users.
You can either add users manually from the assign icon or you can upload them in a csv
file, using the cohort ID.
See the documentation Cohorts for how to do this.
Now your cohorts are ready to use.
For teachers to be able to add cohorts to their courses, make sure you have the Enrolment
plugin Cohort sync enabled, from the Manage enrolments screen of Site admin.
To summarise:
Moodle groups users in two ways: (Site or category wide) Cohorts and (course)groups
Cohorts can be created manually Cohorts can be uploaded
Cohort sync must be enabled to add cohorts to courses.
