Let Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft play. That is the call from the Australian Cricketers Association following the release of the two reports yesterday into Australia's cricket culture and governance
On Tuesday, the ACA called on Cricket Australia to immediately lift the bans imposed on the three test stars following their involvement in the sandpaper affair in Cape Town earlier this year
Smith, the captain at the time, and Warner, who was his deputy, were banned from playing for Australia for a year
Bancroft was given a nine-month ban for using sandpaper to rough the ball illegally
The ACA does not want the bans quashed. However, it says it does think the culture within the wider game created "a web of influences – including good intentions gone awry – that made ball tampering more likely than not"
"The leadership of CA should also accept responsibility for its inadvertent (but foreseeable) failure to create and support a culture in which the will-to-win was balanced by an equal commitment to moral courage and restraint," the players' association said

THE NEW EVERNOTE CEO DISCUSSED - Duration: 4:29.
so in today's video we are talking about Evernote's brand new CEO Ian Small we're
going to be chatting about Chris O'Neill as well and what's next for Evernote so
stay tuned for today's video hello guys and welcome back to another video
another evernote piece today we have an Evernote to interview with Tiago Forte
today all about what the future of Evernote is so this came at a really
weird time if you want to check out that video it's gonna be in description below
so guys Ian small is the brand-new Evernote CEO so who is in small in small
used to be the head of TokBox which is now Vonage or is part of a company
called Nexmo, he was the chairman of the company that offered a online video
conferencing software so the software was mainly developed for businesses to
connect up with people and it has now been acquired as of august 2018 so
previously in small worked with Telefonica which is a popular company as
a chief chief data officer as well he also advised paper fold which was a
uk-based email application and is now joined as Evernote CEO in his
announcement blog post on the evident website
he told what it inventing the future which I quite liked a couple of things
in that blog post and I think you should be aware of is that he did state that
Chris O'Neill was a very integral part in the last three years of helping
evident get back on a financial footing he also has mentions that he's been
chatting with staff and the founder of Evernote about the way more ways to
explore and invent more at Evernote he also states it is a massive user of
productivity applications talking about how he is a relentless task organizer to
and I what I particularly like in a statement as well is dimension of how he
wants us to fall in love with us all over again at Evernote which is quite a
good statement I'd say bear in mind the sort of community situation right now
and he also wants to dedicate some time to where we've fallen short and how we
can do better as well and investigating how that has really impacted the users
one thing that really loved about this post by ian is that he left a little
personal PS at the end the message reads from as far back as I
can remember I have strong memories of my mother
collecting elephant mementos from the first day I talked with Evernote about
talking about taking the role I thought all about those elephants and
had the sense that today was somehow just meant to be I really like that
message and I think that's something really nice to leave us with so over on
reddit it is all been very positive so far and I haven't seen any negative
messages obviously Chris O'Neill has now left the company Chris was CEO all the
way back in 2015 where he joined and he has really been trying to put the
pillars in for supporting finance and onboarding of Evernote making it a much
more open platform for brand new users and Thiago does point a lot to the
things that they've been working on in our chat that we had here on today's
video so what does that mean for Evernote future as you can imagine with
a brand new CEO I can imagine they're going to spend a lot of time developing
their sort of routine in terms of getting him into into touch with
everything that's happening at Evernote and I could probably see that he will
try to refocus Evernote's mission but obviously trying to continue it on it
the lines of work what I quite like about the fact that he's come from a
video confident background is it he's been very interested in the sort of
enterprise side of stuff whereas obviously he doesn't necessarily need to
focus on the enterprise side of stuff I feel like that's gonna be beneficial for
those who use Evernote for work anyway guys hopefully you enjoyed today's video
this end of a guy's what do you think about the Evernote CEO the brand new
evidentiary in small it'd be great to hear in the comments what are your sort
of thoughts what are your opinions are you a bit scared or are you a bit
nervous or are you happy that we've got a new CEO for Evernote let me know in
the comments below if you liked this video hit the like button if your brand
name is subscribe and do comment with your thoughts it'd be great here and
I'll see you guys in a future video Cheers

How Astronomers Are Circling a Black Hole | Out There - Duration: 4:18.
At the heart of our Milky Way,
hidden by the dust clouds of Sagittarius,
lies a trapdoor to eternity:
A supermassive black hole.
Or at least astronomers think it's there.
Nobody has ever seen a black hole directly.
But astronomers can measure it,
by its pull on nearby stars.
In 2002, a young blue star
named S2 made a sharp turn.
The star was moving so fast that
only the gravity of four million suns,
condensed into a tiny space,
could have kept it on course.
That object is Sagittarius A*, the
dark hub of our home carousel of stars.
If it's not a black hole,
astronomers don't know
what else it could be.
Every 16 years, S2 zips close
to the black hole, accelerating
to speeds of 3,000 miles a second.
And this year,
astronomers were watching closely.
Two teams tracked the star to see
what it might betray about gravity
and the dark monster it orbits.
As S2 passed close to the black hole,
time for it appeared to slow down,
reddening the starlight
in what astronomers call
a gravitational redshift.
S2 survived its close encounter,
but other intruders to the
galactic center have fared far worse.
A few years ago,
an approaching gas cloud was heated,
stretched and torn apart.
Now the cloud's head is rushing away,
while its tail is falling into
the black hole's bottomless gullet.
Last spring,
the Very Large Telescope in Chile
captured blurry glimpses of the star
and of a cloud of heat
that surrounds the black hole.
The black hole itself is black.
No light can escape from it.
But the area around the hole
can be hundreds of times
brighter than the sun.
Doomed gases swirling inward
are heated to billions of degrees,
spraying jets of radio energy
into space.
Astronomers recently detected
a wobble in the inner ring
of the swirling disk: A hot spot
that circled the black hole
every 45 minutes.
That's the closest we've come
to probing the edge of a black hole.
Anything orbiting closer
would fall in and vanish.
In the coming months,
the Event Horizon Telescope,
a planet-size network
of eight telescopes,
may produce the first image
of the black hole itself.
At certain radio frequencies,
the accretion disk of hot gas
becomes transparent.
Light curves in the intense gravity,
creating bright arcs
around a dark silhouette:
The shadow of the black hole.
A tombstone for matter and spacetime.
Black holes don't only destroy.
As the hole feeds on
the material swirling around it,
turbulent magnetic fields can
shoot jets of gas above and below.
Astronomers studying other galaxies
have found hot, bright stars
within the escaping jets.
Newborn stars, born on the run.
S2 will swing past the black hole
again in 16 years, to once more
walk its tightrope along eternity.
By then, we might have glimpsed
the silhouette of doom
at the center of our galaxy.
Perhaps it will look
as mathematically immaculate
as Einstein dreamed a century ago:
A sphere of no return.
But that's just the outside.
The inside we can only imagine.
A mystery as opaque and
unknowable as the future,
or time itself.

realize the Yaris is really more of a Mazda, it'a mazda engine that's in that thing, toyota
didn't make the engines they used mazda engines, and their ok their not nearly as reliable
as toyota engines but they can be ok, and you bought one that's 79,000 miles it
should last quite a bit of time, let's just hope you didn't pay too much for it,
florez says scotty what do you think is the best minivan on the market right now,
toyota sienna bar none, I got customers that have 500,000 miles on
those things with the original engine and transmission, they really are the best, you're
going to pay more for them, and you buy a used one it's going to cost more,
but they really last a really really long time, it's the same v6 engine that they use
in the camry and their pickup truck and stuff it's tried and true, and it can run forever,
you can't beat it, sander says scotty I'm considering getting
either a 2002 Saab 9-3 or a 2005 nissan 250z for my next car, thought on these cars,
well if you got a choice between those two get the nissan 350z those are pretty well
built sports cars, they get a little high tech and a little expensive as they age, but
if it's a manual transmission yes they're really strong, now if it's an automatic I
wouldn't buy either of those cars, I would never buy a saab the company went
bankrupt years ago, their cars are impossible to work on, require
expensive parts, the only way you could think about buying a car like that is if you live
in Sweden, if you live in Sweden from what people tell me there, there's still parts
there and they still make parts, and there's Sweds that are nuts about cars because it's
their homeland car and they fix them for a reasonable price, but anywhere else do not
buy a saab, utter says scotty I drive a new Hyundai Kona
2018 why are the cars so poorly painted on the inside, yeah Korean cars hey they've always
been known as being a little bit on the junky side,
now their not as bad as those Ladas those Russian cars I mean those are really cheaply
made, the cheaper ones their just not putting that much money into them, their not finished
that well, their selling them low and that's what you get, you get a low priced car, now
I mean their little, they could still last a while, their not going to last like a toyota
or honda, but their not finished all that well the cheaper ones,
now the higher end ones are much better, I got customers with the v6 high end ones and
they run fine and everything, and like I said they don't last as long as a toyota or honda
but the high ends ones aren't that bad, a lot of them have luxury leather interiors
but those cheaper ones, their just cheaply made, their cheap cars, one of the lowest
ones out there, bee says what do you think about a old chevy
silverado maybe about 2003, I'd go even earlier myself, the older they are, the better made
they were, that's pretty much it for GM, if you really want to go back in the 60's and
70's they were making killer pick up trucks then that could run forever, they were really
better made, then they started to make the engines a little
bit cheaper and smaller and stuff like that, the older they are the better made they were,
their always better with the v8, the v6 are always kind of weak and didn't hold up, but
their v8's were their stronger ones, scotty I had a front and rear end collision,
hood, front fender, bumper, radiator damage do you think it's worth repairing, how do
I know if it's worth repairing, ok should have given me more info like the
year, mileage and all that stuff, when their damaged that far, their generally
not worth fixing, now it depends on how old it is and what you want to do with it too,
I've had plenty of guys when I was going to college, car was smashed up they'd go to a
junkyard, they'd bolt a piece on and hoped it worked, they'd duct tape the bumper on
with duck tape, hey I mean if they still ran they didn't care you know, but if you want
a reliable good solid car when it's that far it's usually a smart idea to say get rid of
it when it's smashed up that bad, do you want some cookies,
I got a 02 e46 with 110,000 miles it's starting to crack at the differential mounting point,
what options do I have, find a good welding shop, any good welder can weld things together,
here's the thing, welds when done correctly by a pro are actually
stronger than the thing their welding together, so if you get a good welder, it will be stronger
than it was in the first place, the hassle is going to be finding somebody
who wants to do welding on that BMW because most guys don't want to mess around with those
things, things can be welded, so if you could find a good welder, but you got to find a
good welder because it's expertise, the metal has to be melted and it has to be shielded
by a gas and it has to be done just correctly so that it melts both what you're welding
and the welding material that you're putting in there, then it becomes one solid piece,
it's an art and a science so you got to find a good welder to that, otherwise just get
rid of the car, bill says I got a 94 jeep 4 cylinder, it needs
a CPU, can a 6 cylinder cpu work, no, the computer is set up for a certain design
of car, if it's a 4 cylinder it's set up for a 4 cylinder, if it's an automatic it's set
up for an automatic, if it's a manual it's set up for a manual, if it's a 6 it's set
up for a 6, if it's set up for an 8 it's set up for an 8,
you can't just swap them because the computer programming is set up that way and that's
a 94, and that's so old you can't reprogram them, the new ones you can have it all erased
and reprogrammed, and a lot of those would work, but that's not even reprogrammable,
you got to try to find one from a 4 cylinder one if you want it to run right,
so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to ring
that bell!

A North Dakota Tribe Is Fighting to Vote, Here's Why It Matters | NYT News - Duration: 6:22.
"I've lived here my whole life,
so I know where everybody lives on a reservation.
We don't even have physical addresses.
If somebody told me to go to BIA Number 8,
I wouldn't even know where that is.
But tell me who lives on BIA Number 8
and I can get there."
Here on this North Dakota reservation,
the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians
don't use residential addresses.
"Do you have your ID?"
But if they want to vote in the midterm election,
they need to have one printed on their ID card.
"They're giving free IDs right now."
"Yeah."
"And you should get the word out
to everybody around here."
That's because of a recent Supreme Court ruling
that lets a controversial North Dakota
voter ID law stand.
The fight against the North Dakota law
started after Richard Brakebill and other members
of the Turtle Mountain tribe were turned away
from the polls in 2014.
"They said that because my ID didn't have my address,
and I didn't really have a North Dakota ID or anything —
that was really a letdown to me, you know?
I felt bad, you know, when they refused me."
Now a seasonal laborer, Brakebill is also a
Navy veteran, who says he's voted steadily
since he was 18.
"That's what kind of upset me too, you know,
you go serve our country
and then to be treated like that, you know?"
With the Native American Rights Fund and others
representing them, the Turtle Mountain members
tried to block the law.
They argued that it was discriminatory,
in part because reservations don't use physical addresses.
They won their case.
A federal judge ruled the law unconstitutional in 2016.
But their fight wasn't over.
The next year, the North Dakota governor
signed a new law with essentially the same rules.
Turtle Mountain tried to block the law again.
And that case made its way up to the Supreme Court
of the United States.
"I didn't hear a lot of conversation
about the Supreme Court decision
when it first came down.
I think it was when people started realizing,
a day or two after, that it really meant suppression
of our votes."
Jamie Azure has been meeting with other tribal leaders
and advocates to figure out how to get people
the documentation they need.
"We came up with a tribal letterhead in — when we met
at Spirit Lake.
I mean, they have everything on there.
They have post office box, physical address,
enrollment number.
They have a photo ID."
Proponents of the law say it's necessary to stop fraud,
especially since North Dakota doesn't require voters
to register in advance.
But according to the Native American Rights Fund,
native voters are more than twice as likely as others
to lack a qualifying ID.
"Come on.
Bring it into your heart and bring it over your head."
With the midterms fast approaching,
the tribes are not alone in feeling the pressure.
The Democratic Party is also rallying to get the word out
in native communities here.
[chanting]
[drumming]
The reservations in North Dakota
are patches of blue in a sea of red.
This is a very conservative state.
Democratic Senator Heidi Heitkamp barely won in 2012.
Her margin of victory was only about 3,000 votes.
"You need to vote.
And you need to vote in record numbers.
Let's send a message that the highest turnout
of any group in North Dakota is Native Americans
because they won't mess with you again."
[applause]
Now, Heitkamp is trailing her Republican opponent
in the polls.
If Democrats are to have a chance of
flipping the Senate, Heidi Heitkamp needs to win.
And her winning depends on getting native North Dakotans
out to vote.
They're depending on her too.
"The most important issues on the federal level
for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa
are federal programs and federal grants.
It's scary knowing that we don't
have control over our own future right now."
The Democratic Party has field organizers
working on four reservations across North Dakota.
Anna Giron focuses on Turtle Mountain,
where she's from.
"Thank you."
"The new tribal ID, right?"
No one knows exactly how many people
here lack the proper ID.
"And I'll give you a ride to go and get your —"
"O.K. —"
"ID."
Younger residents are more likely to have
a state-issued driver's license,
which always has an address on it.
The problem is bigger for the elderly.
"Miss Wally, are you up for a little bit of company?
The voter name —

Get to know the new MASCHINE MIKRO | Native Instruments - Duration: 9:45.
Hey fellow MASCHINE enthusiasts,
it's Boris and I'm back again
with a swift newsflash from our headquarters
in Berlin.
This year, loads of things are
happening here at Native,
one of them being our latest version
of MASCHINE MIKRO.
It's your perfect companion to
lay down rhythms and melodies quickly,
stand-alone or in combination
with your favorite DAW.
MASCHINE MIKRO consists of this
hardware controller,
perfectly integrated with the MASCHINE software
running on your computer.
If you're working exclusively with the mouse,
it's now easier than ever to get yourself
hands-on during the most important stages
in your music production.
So what I'm gonna do next is create
a little sketch and while I'm going along
you can take a deeper look into all the
neat features of the new MASCHINE MIKRO.
First, let's speed up the tempo
just a couple of notches.
I've already set up my browser selection
here in the software.
When hitting the Browse button on MIKRO,
it shows me all results
directly on it's display.
The encoder feels very solid
and allows us to navigate precisely,
so let's use it to add another audio loop.
Whenever you work on a musical idea
and want to change things like
volume, tune, or swing,
there's no need to hunt down
those parameters forever.
Over here you have them all ready
for quick editing.
For instance, I want to match the volume of
those loops now,
so I choose Volume
and hold down the associated pad.
This makes the encoder turn
into a volume fader
and it's value can be read from the display.
I also feel the tune of the percussion
could be a little lower to match
the synth loop better.
The Swing button works the exact same way,
making it perfect to add a vibrant feel
to your rhythms, whenever you need it.
These three new helper buttons
avoid getting lost in browsing.
They let you load recent projects,
bring up your result list,
and manage your favorites
directly from the hardware.
The extra-large pads feel amazing
and provide an even response
across their whole surface.
So let's play some drums, melodies,
and much more.
Here's an example of a drum kit
from the included MASCHINE Factory Selection.
I'm gonna record a little groove now.
While holding down Note Repeat
every sound will repeat in perfect sync.
Another great tool to come up with ideas
is the built-in Step Sequencer.
Similar to a traditional analog drum machine,
you can program patterns step-by-step.
After activating Step Mode,
you can add steps by tapping any
of the 16 pads.
Every time the light passes by,
the sound is triggered.
Each step can be fine-tuned by using
the Quick Edit section,
which you've seen already.
For melodies and harmonies,
MASCHINE MIKRO gives you two additional
modes to work with.
In Keyboard Mode,
you can play any sound melodically,
- which works with both samples
and software instruments.
All brighter pads show you
where the root note is located.
You can change the note range at
any point using MIKRO's encoder.
One really exciting feature
is that you can select from a wide
collection of scales.
If you don't have any knowledge
of harmony theory,
simply dial in the scale and play the pads.
If you followed closely you might have noticed
that I just introduced MIKRO's
cross-functional Smart Strip.
Here, I used it to bend the pitch of the synth,
but there's much more to the strip.
It allows you to apply effects
very intuitively.
Just load MASCHINE's exclusive Perform FX
and tweak them right away.
All movements can be captured
when holding down the Auto button.
It's different Pad Modes and the Smart Strip
make MIKRO very fast to use.
Sampling is no different.
Set up your sound card and recording settings
here in the software,
then hit Sampling and say hello
to this little arrow pointing
down at the encoder.
Yep, it's that easy.
Each time you click the encoder,
another pattern is instantly created.
So far, I showed you the MASCHINE software
in stand-alone mode,
but all tools and functions
are also available when using it as a
plug-in in your favorite DAW.
What you've seen in this video was just
touching the surface.
As you go along, your possibilities
and uses of MASCHINE MIKRO
will keep growing.
Bringing in an A-Series keyboard
can give you even more hands-on
control over the MASCHINE software
and NKS-ready instruments,
with its eight touch-sensitive encoders.
MIKRO comes with a 1.6 gigabyte
MASCHINE Factory Selection,
as well as the full versions of our renowned synths,
MASSIVE, MONARK, and REAKTOR PRISM.
Thanks a lot for tuning in and see you next time.

The New Era of Applied Health Signals - Duration: 2:08.
I watched when my son who was eight years old was diagnosed with type 1
diabetes and it broke his heart. When his son said to him, "dad can you make it better?"
When you're given a diagnosis you have no clue what to do. There's gotta be
a better way. There's gotta be some type of clarity we can bring to this.
I started Livongo because I saw how difficult we made it for my son Sam to
stay healthy. It's hard to be somebody in the current healthcare system living
with a chronic condition. It's confusing. it's complex, and it's costly.
More gadgets, more data, more things to do, more recommendations. Again and again and again and again and again.
This notion that more is better, the "Myth of More"
a real challenge in terms of being able to provide guidance to an individual to
suffering from a chronic condition. You're given numbers, you're given
information, you're given medications. The number of devices. What to do with the devices.
How to load the devices. How to secure the data is complex.
And that creates a noise around healthcare that confuses individuals with chronic
conditions. And we can't even really understand or make sense of what is
actually most important. And so what we hope to achieve at Livongo is to quiet the noise.
Less is actually more here/ Livongo has developed a suite of
devices for measuring clinical signals at their source in the real world from
our members with Applied Health Signals. We can take the data from a cellular
connected blood pressure cuff. Watch the trend of blood pressure readings to get
to know you better and better. In a way that can be utilized to allow an
individual to better manage their health. Where there was once confusion we're now
giving people clear guidance and advice. Where there was complexity you
now have a unified system. And where there was high cost we're making
healthcare more affordable. We're here to make that difference. We're
here to help all those people with chronic conditions and that's the legacy we'll leave behind.

My New Xbox Avatar and Xbox Club - Duration: 3:43.
What's good everybody I'm BLiTz5 and I figured I would make a quick video
showing off my new Xbox avatar so Microsoft just recently updated this
avatar system for the Xbox one and I don't remember when avatars first came
out but I feel like it was for the 360 or maybe to an Xbox one launch but I
think I remembered all the way back on the 360 everybody got excited we created
our avatars and then nothing really ever happened with it since so I guess it
needed kind of a refresh here but really there's not too much new going on here
in just your basic create a class or avatar system and I was looking for a
little bit more here but obviously it's always fun to create a character
especially if you're trying to model it after yourself or if you're doing
something funky and Here I am in the flesh you can see my character here I am
blitz 5 I'm bald and have a beard so this would have to go if you don't have
many options when you have a bald head and a beard like me and I don't know why
so many bald people have beards I guess it's because we can't grow hair on our
face so we grow it I mean we can't grow hair on our head so we're growing it on
our face but it seems like a lot of people who are bald have good beards so
I don't know if there's just like a some kind of coincidence there or some kind
of like genetic thing someone needs to do study on that and discover why so
many both people have beards anyways I'm just kidding around moving on I'm not
gonna go through all the selections here I'm just gonna show you guys some funny
things I was looking at when I was trying to create my character there's
really only a dozen or so options in the main categories here when you're trying
to make your face so you don't have too many options when you're picking your
facial hair or like your eyebrows to make it look exactly like you but
there's enough this is like a cartoon version so I get it
but there's a lot of hats and accessories I almost went with the bunny
ears just for fun or this sideways hat but with the beard it made me look like
a little too aggressive here so then I just backed down from that and went with
this funky windbreaker I like the colors and I also like these shoes that were
pretty cool they reminded me of the shoes actually where in real life I wear
a lot of Nike dunks shoutout to Nike on those high-tops baby so if you're
wearing high-tops you got to show them off with shorts if you're wearing pants
you can't see the high top so I had to go to short shorts and I tried to kind
of color match it but I didn't change the jacket I let that default I don't
even know if you can I the color of the shorts and my shoes to
get a little matching synergy going on here and then you can pick some
different accessories which are cool I went with this skateboard because I do
like to skateboard from time to time even though I'm terrible and here's my
little character blitz 5 in the flesh skateboarding around doing some tricks
you know kickflip pop shove it right into the Xbox one camera so this is it
like I said I was just messing around guys I figured I would show this off
this is me in the cartoon Xbox version do you guys want to make your own Xbox
avatar you can head over to the my games and apps section on your xbox and it
should be there if not you can just like download it but it was there for me so
I'm gonna hope it's there for you you can make you one thing if you want to or
not I don't want to tell you guys how to live your life just something fun to do
and also I figured I would use this video to promote the Blitz 5 and Friends
Club I created a club for the channel and everybody that's come in kind of
hanging out creating a little bit of a community here I think we're almost up
to 50 people in the club so if you're looking for people to play with or to
share your xbox avatar share fun clips or play multiplayer games like pub G and
call duty I feel like this is a good place for you we got a lot of active
people here and it's just gonna start and hopefully we'll build something
really fun so I'll link that down in the description box below how you can join
you have to ask for permission to join I can't just make it where you can join
automatically I have to like accept you but that's just kind of the default
setting for right now and yeah Blitz5andfriends new avatar system
I'm bald and have a beard and I'm blitz 5 and peace out
