Youtube daily up Aug 3 2018

These days almost everybody buys at least some stuff online.

But now, data show most online shopping isn't even done on a computer but on mobile devices.

Some of the biggest gains in Korea have been seen in food delivery.

People in other countries too are using their mobiles to buy Korean products.

Hong Yoo has this report.

Mobile shopping is now the most actively form of online shopping.

Purchases made using the internet and mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs

represented 61.8% of all online shopping for the second quarter of 2018.

That is the highest number ever since the government has begun collecting data of online

shopping since January, 2003.

According to Statistics Korea, money used on online shopping increased by 21.

5 percent compared to the same quarter of last year.

And within that increase, money used in mobile shopping increased by 32.9 percent.

Mobile food delivery alone made more than 800 million dollars, due to the rapid growth

of mobile food delivery services by 88 percent compared to last year's second quarter.

The increase was also reflected in the increase of foreign buyers using Korean online shopping

platforms.

Chinese customers once again took the lead among foreign buyers, with Japan and the ASEAN

bloc taking 2nd and 3rd places respectively.

Items that foreigners were more interested in buying were cosmetics, apparels and electric

devices.

"GIVING UP HURTS" [REAL-LIFE ENGLISH #10] - Duration: 10:46.

This video is going to be very quick

I believe that this video will be quick because

I am at the park right now, I am waiting for my girlfriend

But I got here one hour in advance

I don't know why, I may not know how to calculate time

properly, because I left home a long time before

the time that I was supposed to be here

and I'm sure that she'll get here late...I arrived here one hour before

the time that we agreed and I believe that she'll get here late, but that's ok because I love her

and yeah, it's raining now

It has just started raining, unfortunately

I'm just waiting for her here because she's coming by bus

We probably won't be able to stay here at the park because it's raining

I'll probably just pick her up and take her to a different place

but I'm not going to tell you where I'll take her

because there are some kids who watch my channel

and this is a family-friendly channel

So, I'm going to take her to the cinema!!

Yes! That's eactly what I was thinking about ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

But anyway, I'm here by myself, waiting for my girlfriend

and there's nothing to do, so

So, I started watching some episodes of cartoons here

on my cellphone, because

there is free Internet here

at the park

and I was watching some episodes of Dragon Ball

I don't know if you've watched Dragon Ball

I believe that most of my subscribers don't watch Dragon Ball

I'm not sure of that

But, it's one of my favourite cartoons

of all time, really, seriously

and now I've just seen the last episode

of the series for the fourth time

and it represents a lot to me

This cartoon represents a lot to me

I'm not going to give you any spoilers

or anything...I'm not going to talk about the cartoon

or the plot, especifically, because

It's not really my intention, but

I need to talk to you about my favourite character

in the series...His name is Vegeta

Some of you may not know who vegeta is

Therefore, you may not know why is is my favourite character ever

I'll tell you why and you don't even need to have watched any episodes of Dragon Ball before

First, let me describe Vegeta for you

So, this is Vegeta

I'm going to add his picture here

on the screen when I edit the video

I want the video to be quick, so

so, in a nutshell, Vegeta is pure pride

He basically never gives up

He says whatever he wants to say

Whenever he wants to say that

If you've seen the series, you know that at the beginning of it, he was a villain

but throughout the series, throughout the years he has changed a lot

Now he's married, he's got two children

He's got a daughter and a son

and I can say that he would die to defend his family

and his wife

actually he has already died once to save his family

Many people don't like him because he doesn't represent the "politically correct" behaviour"

When he has an objective he will do whatever it takes to reach it, no matter what

He is ruthless

You'll probably think I'm a nerd now because I remember some of his quotes

and I remember that once he said:

"There is no such thing as fair or unfair in a battle. There is only victory or defeat"

So this guy was really ruthless

Some people believe that he still has evil feelings

deep inside his heart

But I don't think so. I don't see it that way.

I see Vegeta as a representation of strength, pride and determination

as a man who loves and takes care of his family, no matter what

He is definitely not naturally the strongest one but he will do whatever it takes to get stronger

and stronger, he will never give up

trying to become stronger every day

He works hard in order to learn a new skill

but by the time he learns a new skill

He is not satisfied with that new skill because

he wants to learn another one

and another one and another one

so on and so forth

Perhaps that's what defines him best

Hard work

He knows that without hard work

Nothing comes to him easily

"Nothing that is truly worth having comes easily"

I'm going to read here some of his most inspirational quotes

and that will give you an idea of why I look up to his character

so much, and why he is my favourite character ever

Once he said:

"Even the mightiest warriors experience fear. What makes them true warriors is the courage that they possess to overcome their fears"

I like this quote because it is saying that we shouldn't ignore the fact, yes, sometimes

we are afraid of certain things

but we need to face our fears and overcome them

Overcoming our fears is what makes us victorious

In order to corroborate that he also said:

"I do not fear this new challenge. Rather, like a true warrior I will rise to meet it"

I like the idea of having new challenges in my life

and even though it might be scary

I should simply stand up and do it. Just do it.

Fight for it, dive into the challenge

and welcome the challenge

He also said:

"I can always become stronger"

Yeah, I know, it's a simple quote, but

That's what I think. I can always improve...

I bring this quote to my reality. I can always get better and better

So, if I'm learning a new language

There's a process and I've got to go

on this journey, step by step, I know about that. I need to celebrate every new word

that I learn

but when I learn a new word, it's time to learn another one

and practice these two words together

and then learn another one

Then I'll know three words, so it's time to learn the fourth word

and the fifth word, you know

I can always get better and better

I shouldn't be satisfied with one word or two words. I want to know them all

So, I can always improve

"I can always become stronger"

every day, constantly

No pain, no gain

Oh by the way, about pain, he said:

"Push through the pain. Giving up hurts more"

"Push through the pain. Giving up hurts more"

It takes me back so long ago

I remember that when I was 14 years old

I was the fastest kid in my school

So I was invited by a professional coach to become an athlete

and take part in professional competitions

Even to this day I've got many medals that I won in this period of my life

Once there was a running competition

the 100 meter dash

and I was great at this kind of race

I qualified to the final.

Seriously, I was among the best runners

under the age of 18 in England

but before the final race, I hurt my right knee

and I cried like a baby because it hurt like hell

So I talked to my coach and I gave up the competition

I gave up running the final race

I decided not to run the final race

Ok. Then the final race happened

and the boy who won it made it in 13 seconds

After the race was over

I felt that my knee was getting better

I asked my coach if I could run this 100 meter sprint just to see if I would have won it if I had run it

then I ran the 100 meter race

by myself and I asked my coach to check my time

I made it in 11 seconds

2 seconds faster than the boy who won it

then when I watched the episode that Vegeta said:

"Push through the pain. Giving up hurts more"

I suddenly remembered the day of that race

The day that I gave up running the final race

The day that i gave up something that I truly wanted

so easily

How I regret that!

Giving up indeed hurts more

much more

so many years after that and it still hurts

deeply

Well, I didn't become a professional athlete because I had to travel a lot due to some family issues

and I could never focus on the training the way I should

But it's ok!

I never really wanted to become an athelete

but I know that I was talented enough to be an athlete if I wanted to

but it's ok, it's in the past now

I can't go back in time

YET ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I don't want this video to be long

So, I'll end it right now

My girlfriend is about to get here, I believe

I just wanted to share with you something that I like. I like cartoons, I like Dragon Ball

and I especially like Vegeta

So I felt like talking about him

who represents a lot to me

What about you? Do you watch cartoons?

Is there any special character that you look up to?

Mic'd Up On Ice - VOGoalie - Duration: 6:40.

So I never take too many warm up shots because

frankly

I only got so many... I only got so many saves I can make during a game

So, you know what?

Why waste those saves in warm ups

Voice

Over Goalie

All right, here we go, let's see what you got here. 3 on 2 he's gonna pass

There we go.

One save out of the way. I don't know about you guys, but I always like to get that first save in.

Get rid of any jitters that might be...

kicking around.

There you go breaking down the side. Stay with him!

Up the boards, up the boards! That's not up the boards. Ahh, I guess I am working up a sweat already.

Shot! Boom! Save. I'll just cover this up.

Alright here we go, they're breaking in on a 3 on 2...

Oh, Scott made a good move...

Ooh, two saves! That's it!

That's what I'm talking about

Who came to play tonight? Looks like I did

Man, maybe I have to bring a camera and mic myself up every night so I can play like this

Can't jinx myself too early.

He's got a 4 on 1, is he going to pass?

Awwwww....

Probably should've stayed up on that one.

So you're gonna see me do hopefully a couple of my big signature moves tonight

My favorite being...

the sweep check behind the net. Love that one.

I guess that's about the only move I got.

Can't talk now better focus.

There are two guys on their squad, Ron and John

And legit, that's the only reason I remember their names.

That's not a good move...

Let's see what this guy's got...

and in the glove.

Dana giving me the Kudos down there.

I think he's a subscriber...

Awww...

I guess they scored on him.

Woah!

I guess that was a good save.

You see, I was so, I was so distracted... but I made a good paddle save. That was good.

I just really wanna make like a behind-the-back glove save once in my life.

John's at that side. He's got nothing.

That's on

And intercepted, Big John again, Big John Stud.

Oh, didn't have anyplace to go.

Big John Stud is #79. He doesn't wear a shield or a cage...

But to his credit... he's got a mouthguard in.

Let's see what Scott has tonight...

Nothing.

Shot on the right... ohhh!

I saved it, I saved it. I've got it! I've got it!

He's got a forehand shot...

wide.

Oh here we go, possible break. Possible break in the side, my defense has him, but the follow up guy...

I got it, I got it.

And squeeeeeze...

Get down low...

I had that angle.

Aww, I'll shoot this up to. I'll shoot this up this way.

Let's fake this guy out like we're going to pass it this way.

And then focus and turn and shoot.

That didn't work out so good.

Oh, woah woah woah woah!

Aw, that was lucky!

Awwww!

You bit the Cheese Wayne, you bit the cheese!

That was awful.

Well just 20 minutes left in this skate... and ah...

And ah... my pre-game meal is starting to wear off.

Poke check right here!

Oh there we go!

He's gonna look for that pass..

Oh, nice save, that's it, that's it. I came across.

I think that surprised me too.

I can't see... I can't see what's going on down there...

definitely think I'm gonna need new contact lenses this summer.

Alright. Here we go - 2 on 1, 2 on 1! Where's it going with it? Oh

that Defenseman needs to turn around...

I gotta get square to the shooter...

I totally covered that puck.

Giveaway.

Blocker save!

Oh, that prevented a breakaway for sure. Nice job Scotty.

Scotty doesn't know he just stopped a breakaway attempt.

So don't tell Scotty.

Pad save and a Beaut. I should get up faster.

Oh, back again? I should just let him score on this one.

There's a divot right there.

That's why I almost fell, there's a divot.

Oh man, I'm so tired.

This is seriously the longest recording session I've done in a long time.

Should have done a vocal warm up first.

69 mixing it up, big surprise.

I guess we still need one, one goal to tie.

Not like I actually keep track.

Mostly because I end up giving up solid six or seven a game.

One minute remaining in the period.

Oh, oh, penalty shot.

Here we go

This could tie it up with a penalty shot. Let's here the play by play. Goes in, deke, deke, deke...

Oh! Into Dana's pad!

That's gonna be boys and girls.

You

Best new mobile games on iOS and Android - August 2018 round-up - Duration: 12:05.

GameCentral reviews this month's iOS and Android releases, from idle tapper Kung Fu Z to high-tech racer Asphalt 9: Legends

The dog days of summer are the games industry's traditional time of rest, with the AAA release schedule packing up and heading to the beach while plucky indie developers have the field to themselves for two months

Mobile games continue unabated though, with the captive audience of school children on summer holidays in dire need of something to distract them from yet another round of Fortnite

This month's releases run the gamut from premium goodness in the spooky Fracter to surprisingly complete free-to-play Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2

Fracter for iOS & Android, £3.99 (4L Games)    Channelling approximately one part Monument Valley to one part Inside and Limbo, Fracter is a slightly creepy ambient puzzle game in which you wander inky black walkways and corridors, the only illumination coming from the glowing ball that floats over your stick figure character's head

There are other figures in the gloom, but if you stray too close to one they immediately drop to all fours and scuttle unnervingly towards you, ready to send you back to the last checkpoint

Puzzles involve picking your way through the darkened maze using walls of light to separate your spindly stick woman from aggressors and guiding her to pads in the floor which trigger the next door to open

It's not a terribly good summer game, the perma-darkness making the action almost impossible to make out on a sunny day, but it's a well made and atmospheric game with interesting puzzles and a distinct personality

Score: 8/10   Earth Atlantis for iOS, £4.99 (Pixel Perfex)    Trapped in a beautifully hand drawn, sepia-tinted underwater tunnel system, your job is to pilot a submarine around the labyrinth using a simple map to target boss monsters

However, just finding the bosses does you no good whatsoever. First you need to collect enough power-ups dropped by smaller fish, crabs, and molluscs to upgrade your sub's firepower until you've got weapons that fire forwards and backwards, while launching a range of guided ordnance

Once you're powerful enough, you track down your next big beast, threading your way through the maze, whittling down its health bar and watching to see which wall collapses as it dies, letting you explore new sections of your sub-aqua home

There are new subs to unlock, although it does eventually start to feel a bit samey, however elegantly drawn it is

Score: 6/10   Asphalt 9: Legends for iOS & Android, £Free (Gameloft)    The latest iteration in Gameloft's blockbuster mobile racing series is Asphalt 9: Legends, which boasts console quality graphics and 70 tracks from Cairo to Rome to the Himalayas

It's a world of spectacle and bombast, with avalanches devastating slopes next to the track and bits of debris from exploding fellow racers being catapulted around the road, as you progress from Mitsubishis and BMWs to Ferraris and Lamborghinis

You can barely do anything without some sort of pop-up reward: race without hitting anything? Clean race! Smash into stuff on the track? You've smashed stuff! It's infantilising, but a bigger problem is the controls, which default to the new Touchdrive mode where you don't even need to steer, just tap to drift or activate one of four different nitrous oxide settings

You can switch to tilt or tap steering, both of which give a greater sense of actual participation, but leave you at the mercy of Touchdrive players whose 360 skids, triggered by double tapping the drift button, send you pirouetting off the track

In Asphalt 9, skill is a distant second to car upgrades, a situation that generates weary acceptance rather than excitement

Score: 4/10   Supertype for iOS, £1.99, free update (Kamibox)    We reviewed Supertype back in May, commending its offbeat, hand-crafted looks and kinetic use of text, the letters you type falling under gravity to solve its deceptively complex puzzles

It's just received a free update, which adds a level editor that lets you create your own font-based problems, along with a tranche of newly-minted puzzles from creator Philipp Stollenmayer

The aptly named Concrete level pack is indeed incredibly hard, presenting a significantly sterner challenge for players already inducted into the ways of turning words into weapons

The level editor is simple but takes a lot of getting the hang of, mostly because coming up with anything remotely as clever and interesting as the pre-packaged challenges turns out to be the hardest test of all

Sadly there's no way to share puzzles with the wider Supertype community, although you can email them to a friend if they have a copy of the game

Score: 8/10   Kung Fu Z for iOS, £Free (Tiny Titan Studios)    Incremental games (aka idle games or clicker games) are by their very nature pointless, their only goal being to make numbers increase over time, something that happens even in your absence

But somehow they remain sordidly compulsive, the need to keep upgrading outweighing the knowledge that you're really just staring into the void

Kung Fu Z reinvents 90s classic Streets Of Rage as an idle tapper, your kung fu hero whooping undead ass left and right while you trigger special moves and upgrade his outfit, improving abilities and unlocking new ones

Levels include 90s stalwarts like graffiti-strewn urban street, underground station, shopping mall, and Chinatown, while likably evil baddie Dr Z wheels out colourful threats as you lay waste to his zombie legions

Brainless but addictive.  Score: 7/10   Pocket City for iOS & Android, £4.99 (Codebrew Games)    Even though touchscreen devices are perfect for the careful poking around entailed in city building games there are few of any note, with EA's risible cash-grab SimCity BuildIt the most famous

Finally, there's Pocket City, which does what SimCity used to before it was re-engineered to shake you down for spare change

You're mayor of a patch of scrub that you gradually transform into a huge, thriving metropolis, zoning industrial, residential, and commercial buildings; adding infrastructure and ensuring your simulated citizens remain as happy as possible

That means adding parks, landmarks, and stadiums, and taking care of their movie-going needs alongside building fire stations, hospitals, and lumber mills

It's a battery annihilator, especially with the graphics settings turned up, and it needs some balance tweaks – casual mode offers no challenge, while hard and expert are possibly a little too slow burn – but this is the nearest we've ever been to a proper touchscreen city builder

Score: 7/10   Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 for iOS & Android, £Free (Sega)    The Shin Megami Tensei series, and spin-off franchise Persona, has always been a GameCentral favourite, with it's dark, metaphysical plots about ordinary Japanese teenagers fighting demons in (mostly) real world locations

The mobile version retains not just the turn-based combat and modern Japanese setting, but the same stylish art style the series is known for

Importantly, the demon collection and customisation (by fusing different types together) is still part of the gameplay and just as compelling as ever

There are ads to watch in return for gems and a fair few inducements to spend cash, but it's a hugely involving and well-made game that does an amazing job of refining the classic MegaTen template into gameplay compact enough to be playable between train stops

Score: 8/10   I'm Ping Pong King :) for iOS & Android, £Free/£1.99 to remove ads (Oranegnose Studios)    I'm Ping Pong King :) is a game of stick figure table tennis that is simplicity itself: just tap the screen on the same side that your opponent knocks the ball

From this outrageously straightforward interaction comes an unusually compelling game that pits you against a succession of increasingly skilled opponents, who despite not having much to work with graphically still manage to convey something of their personalities into proceedings

Rallies get longer, games require more points to win, and you start facing experts rather than bumbling beginners

The more protracted matches require extended periods in 'the zone' where a stray thought or someone asking you what you want for dinner is more than enough to send you spiralling into oblivion

There's not much to it, but what's there is made so perfectly that it can prove hard to put down

Score: 6/10   Dead Island Survivors for iOS & Android, £Free (Deep Silver)    Based on the appallingly dull yet weirdly successful zombie-killing franchise, Survivors combines the zombie apocalypse setting with Tower Defense and card collecting

On each of the game's holiday islands you'll be plundering resources and helping defend the remaining humans by tactical placement of turrets and traps that variously incinerate, drown, electrocute, and grind-up undead attackers

You also control an armed survivor, whom you can direct in battle, bludgeoning the hordes as your fixed guns unleash hell from multiple angles

It suffers from the usual free-to-play foibles, most notably its blandness and lack of obvious progression; along with a difficulty level that eventually becomes a shade too high in order to encourage you in the direction of visiting the store

The tower defence works quite nicely, but it quickly gets repetitive.  Score: 4/10       By Nick Gillett

English Tutor Nick P Lesson (258) The Difference Between Save Up and Save On - Duration: 2:56.

Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is lesson 258. The title of today's lesson is the

difference between save up and save on. Okay this is one we're again students of

ESL might make a mistake that might mix up the two. The common mistake usually is

to use save up when you're supposed to be using save on. But anyway, let's first look at the meaning.

To save up means to gradually put aside money or small amounts of a supply of

something for future use. So you definitely save up money or you could

save up the supply of something that you need for something in the future as

well. All right. To save on something means to save money when buying something. So

you were able to get something for either a cheaper price or you were

somehow or someway able to spend less money for something similar or almost the

same thing. So you saved on it Okay. So again, let's look at the first example.

here with the X. This one's wrong. To save up the budget the company will no longer

provide a free trip for their employees. Of course this is wrong, to say save up

here. You should be saying to save on the budget the company will no longer

provide a free trip for their employees. Yeah. So they're they're saving on the

money that they have to spend for their budget. So they're saving on , not saving

up. All right . Let's take a look. Let's continue here. To save on the cost of diapers,

we've started to buy in bulk. Now we order them by the case. So this is,

this is correct. This is a way that we commonly use to save on. So it's another

example you're actually saving money. You're buying in bulk. So each diaper

ends up costing less per diaper. So you're saving on the cost of diapers. You're

in bulk. Remember in bulk means buying in large quantities. Okay. Here's another

mistake, with the X where it's wrong. To save up the cost of my clothes I tried

to wait for clearance sales. So again. This is what you should use. With a check

here. To save on the cost of my clothes I try to wait for clearance sales. Okay good.

And then we'll just give you one example of where we would normally use to save up. We have

been saving up money to go on an overseas trip. Okay good. I hope it's

clear I hope you got it. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.

Steve Large - DON'T GIVE UP *POWERFUL* - Duration: 5:12.

hi my name's Steve Large and I want to just do a quick video on keeping the

faith and just to know that even if you go through a rough patch right now it's

not forever nothing lasts forever so you might be getting to a point now where

you're like oh this this is too tough this is hard I put so much work in and

it's not happening and I'm ready to give up don't don't give up the universe

wants to see if you really want it and sometimes you have to take a break

rather than quit so just take time out whether that be for a couple of days or

whatever you feel you need to come back and to go again sometimes you need to

change you a little bit more sometimes if you're going in full-tilt and you're

missing stuff you're missing the signs the universe is trying to give you so

you're rushing in you want it now your mind based and you're chasing it you can

feel it you can taste it it's nearly there but it's not quite happening the

universe will slow you down if you're not listening to the signs and you're

not looking for the signs so if you feel like you've hit a brick wall don't stop

just just sit and have a look around and what signs are you missing what what's

there that you haven't noticed because there'll be something I promise you

there'll be something you've missed and this is the universe's way to say whoa

slow down be patient come out of your mind and just see what it is you need to

do it might be numinous things it might be something

you need to address within yourself something you need to change some what

you need to find in somebody else or so help somebody else to change or it it

could be infinite reasons of what you need to notice and what you need to do

but my message is is just because you go through a storm don't give up the storm

won't last follow your hopes will follow your

dreams and know that you will achieve them keep following them if you stop

following your dreams what are you gonna do the rest your life you live in anyway

get alive anyway so get up and keep following don't be hard on yourself

because you need a break just breathe and accept you're gonna have a break

take the time to maybe if you're busy and you're not seeing your family as

much or there's a hobby you like to do and you're having a chance to do it take

the time to go and do these things and do them free of guilt put what you do

and down to the side for however long like I'm not saying four years or

anything like that I mean maybe for a couple of hours a

couple of days just until it passes whatever it may be and take the time to

recharge regroup look for the signs and to just give yourself that energy and

Trey Gowdy Shared One Truth About The FBI Memo The Media Wants To Cover Up - Duration: 11:34.

Trey Gowdy Shared One Truth About The FBI Memo The Media Wants To Cover Up

The media, Democrats, and the Deep State are in a panic.

The Nunes memo is now public.

And Trey Gowdy stepped up and revealed the one truth about the memo that the media and

their anti-Trump conspirators are desperate to cover up.

The big take away from the memo was that the Obama administration and the FBI colluded

with a foreign spy to present information paid for by Hillary Clinton in order to obtain

a FISA warrant to snoop on a former Trump campaign aide.

The Fusion GPS "Trump-Russia" dossier alleged Carter Page colluded with the Russians

to help rig the 2016 Presidential election.

No evidence exists to back up these claims.

But the dossier – and a Yahoo news articles based on the dossier – were presented in

a FISA court as the evidence for the government to obtain a warrant to spy on Page.

Gowdy cut through all the media distraction in downplaying the memo and cut right to the

heart of the matter.

And although the memo does answer some questions – like the fact that the fake news dossier

was weaponized by the FBI, even though they knew it was a Hillary Clinton campaign production

– it also raises others.

Chairman Nunes declared on Fox News that this is just the first memo.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this story.

'The fake, fake, DISGUSTING news': Trump ramps up his attack on media - Duration: 19:49.

President Donald Trump lashed out at the 'fake, fake, disgusting news media' and 'low-IQ' Maxine Waters during a typically barnstorming speech at a rally in Pennsylvania on Thursday night

Trump asked rowdy supporters in the crowd to 'remember that incredible night' when he won the 2016 election

Then he re-hashed favorite topics including his summits with Kim Jong-un and President Putin; tax cuts; immigration policy; and NATO military spending

He also had a warning for Democrats, saying he was planning to shut down the government if Congress does not grant funding for his border wall, but admitted he was 'a bit torn' whether to do this before or after the midterms

During another attack on the media, Trump criticized news outlets for reporting he was 15 minutes late for a meeting for tea with the Queen during his visit to Britain

A protester was thrown out some 10 minutes into Trump's speech at the overheated arena in Wilkes-Barre as the President shouted 'get them out of here'

Images showed the woman being led away while giving the bird at angry Trump supporters

Time and time again, Trump denounced the press for underselling his accomplishments and doubting his political rise

The President described how he told his wife Melania he had 'just stopped missiles from being launched every two seconds' or accomplished other things, and thought the media' was 'finally going to treat me so good,' but didn't

Trump continued his barrage against the press by commentators for saying he wasn't tough enough on Putin

'They wanted me to go up and have a boxing match,' he said. 'Whatever happened to diplomacy?'Trump described the meeting as 'great' and slammed the 'Russian hoax', claiming Russia was 'unhappy Trump won'

'In Helsinki, I had a great meeting with (Russian President Vladimir) Putin. We got along really well,' he said

'By the way, that's a good thing, not a bad thing. Now, we're being hindered by the Russian hoax — it's a hoax, ok?'Trump then moved on to his meeting with the Queen during his visit to Britain

He said: 'I was asked to have tea with the Queen, who is incredible by the way. Incredible

'I landed [and] I'm on the ground and I'm waiting with the King's and the Queen's guards, wonderful people

I'm waiting. I was about 15 minutes early and I'm waiting with my wife and that's fine

Hey, it's the Queen, right? We can wait. But I'm a little early.'  RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 2 Next Paul Manafort burned through millions then couldn't pay his

We then go up and we have tea. And I didn't know this - it was supposed to last 15 minutes but it lasted like an hour

Because we got along. And she liked our first lady and our first lady liked her.'But we got along fantastically well

But the time went by - you know, sometimes you get along and the time goes by.'So here was the story by the fake news: The president was 15 minutes late for the Queen

Wrong.'And then, here's the rest of the story: The president overstayed. So I was late and I overstayed

But honestly, folks, it was such a beautiful, beautiful visit and afternoon.'But they can make anything bad because they are the fake, fake, disgusting news

'He earlier said he has 'great respect for the UK - the United Kingdom. Great respect

'The president then discussed the country's names, explaining: 'People call it 'Britain', they call it 'Great Britain'

They used to call it 'England', different parts. But the UK - great respect.'Ratcheting up his attacks on the media, Trump then lambasted the 'fake, fake, disgusting news media' to chants of 'CNN sucks'

He also appeared to mock cancer-stricken senator John McCain over his 2017 vote against repealing Obamacare during a rally in Pennsylvania on Thursday

'I had Obamacare done except one guy at two o'clock in the morning. Went in and said

He went, thumbs down,' Trump told the crown in Wilkes-Barre while making an exaggerated thumbs-down gesture and grimacing

The President did not explicitly name McCain but the reference was clear as he was the sole GOP no vote

Trump criticized him for opposing the bill 'even though he campaigned for years' in support of repeal

'Whatever happened to the free press? Whatever happened to honest reporting?' Trump asked, pointing to the media in the back of the hall

'They don't report it. They only make up stories.'Trump said he had received 'good press' before becoming president, and said he 'didn't need' the job

The President was speaking in Wilkes-Barre to back Rep. Lou Barletta, who is running to unseat two-term incumbent Democratic Senator Bob Casey

Immigration was a key theme of the address, with the President referring to the truck attack in New York in October last year as evidence of the need for tougher entry restrictions

Trump defended ICE officers, calling them 'warriors' and slammed Democrats for what he described as they support for 'open borders and more crime'

He also referred to his recent threat to shut down the government if Congress did not grant more money for immigration projects including the border wall

The President cited Republican lawmakers who have told him that a government shutdown before the midterms is a bad idea, but followed this by saying how Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity thought it was a good one

Trump said he was 'a little bit torn' over when to shut down the government, but said he would 'personally prefer before' the midterm elections

'Whether it's before or after, we're either getting it or we're closing down government,' he said

As an aside, he joked that he would use reverse psychology to convince Democrats to provide money for the wall

The President told the crowd he would say he did not want the wall and then, 'they'll insist on building it

'An attack on Hillary Clinton was greeted by chants of 'lock her up!' Trump responded to these by saying: 'Oh no

no. They only want to go after Republicans,' appearing to refer to the Justice Department

'They don't want to do anything,' he said, before adding that things would be changing soon

Maxine Waters also came in for several attacks, with Trump calling the California representative 'low-IQ' following her attacks on his immigration policy

Though Barletta's bid was an undercard to the Trump's main event, savaging his opponents, the president did bless the congressman's bid, calling him a 'legend'

Trump, who has accelerated his campaign schedule in recent weeks to help the Republicans he favors both in primaries and November's midterms, was the first Republican to win Pennsylvania since 1988

'For years and years, they said Republicans should win the state of Pennsylvania,' Trump said

'It always got away. But we won the state of Pennsylvania.'He and Barletta, who is trailing by double digits in the polls, share hard-line immigration views, and Trump lashed Casey with his own derogatory nickname: 'Sleeping Bob

' But Trump's focus was defending his own accomplishments and beliefs. He pushed for tougher borders, overstating the threat posed by violent gangs like MS-13 and making the murderous group a stand-in for all immigrants in the United States illegally

He defended his approach to both Kim and Putin, saying, 'it would be a good thing, not a bad thing' to have warmer relations with the hostile powers and dismissing the talk that meeting with the autocrats elevated them on the world stage

He bashed the Democratic leadership of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and, curiously, suggested that his frequent foe Rep

Maxine Waters of California was 'a new star' of the party. He raved about the booming economy and said, without evidence, that his blue-collar supporters in states like Pennsylvania were the biggest beneficiaries

Trump hailed Republican tax cuts for boosting business and claimed they had led to US steel 'opening seven new plants

AP's fact checking service found the claim was inaccurate, as the Pittsburgh-based company has made no such announcement

US Steel spokeswoman Meghan Cox declined to comment on Trump's claim but said any 'operational changes' such as the opening of new mills would be 'publicly announced' and 'made available on our website' if it occurred

Trump also looked ahead to his 2020 re-election campaign, touting his new slogan, 'Keep America Great Again' while musing whether he wanted Massachusetts Sen

Elizabeth Warren, whom he decried as 'Pocahontas,' or Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, whom he flatly deemed 'crazy,' as his opponent

The rally came at a perilous time for the President, who the day before bluntly declared his attorney general should terminate 'right now' the federal probe into the campaign that took him to the White House, a newly fervent attack on the special counsel investigation that could imperil his presidency

Sanders scrambled to explain that Trump's tweet was 'not an order' and the president was not directing his attorney general to do anything

'It's the president's opinion,' she said. But Trump's tweetstorm again raised the specter that he could try to more directly bring special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia-Trump election-collusion probe to a premature end

And it revived the idea that the president's tweets themselves might be used as evidence that he is attempting to obstruct justice

Earlier in the day, Trump took to Twitter to explain his daughter Ivanka Trump's assertion that the media is not the 'enemy of the people,' saying that she meant the 'FAKE NEWS' is 'the enemy of the people

' 'They asked my daughter Ivanka whether or not the media is the enemy of the people

She correctly said no. It is the FAKE NEWS, which is a large percentage of the media, that is the enemy of the people!,' he wrote on Twitter Thursday afternoon

Ivanka refused to join her father earlier in the day in bashing the media as the 'enemy of the people

' She disagreed with her father's characterization of the 'fake news media,' saying she doesn't see the press as her enemy

'No, I do not,' she said Thursday, when asked if she thinks, as the president does, that the media is 'the enemy of the people

'More than 100 protesters lined up on either side of the sidewalk ahead of the rally, forcing Trump's supporters to walk a narrow gantlet on their way to the arena as protesters scream at them, 'Shame! Shame! Shame!'Thirty-six-year-old union laborer Jeff LaFrance held up one end of a giant 'Impeach Trump' sign and says he has no sympathy for the rally attendees

He said he thought 'it's shameful they could support someone the likes of Trump.'He also called Trump's supporters 'willfully ignorant' about issues like the separation of migrant children from their parents at the U

S. border. Most rallygoers ignored the taunts, but some engaged, yelling 'Trump! Trump!' or muttering epithets

One man replied cheerfully, 'I'm a proud Deplorable!'

Up To Speed, August 3 - Duration: 4:08.

Up To Speed. Week in review.

J: Hey everyone Jeremy and Sravya here to get you up to speed on everything

that's happened around and inside Verizon this week. And what a week it was.

S: It was. But before we take a look back, we've got some big device and 5G news to share.

Yesterday, Verizon and Motorola unveiled the moto z3, the world's first

5G-upgradeable smartphone.

George Koroneos was at the event and tells us more.

Hey I'm George & we're here in Chicago at Motorola headquarters where we

just unveiled the moto z3 & 5G Moto Mod coming exclusively to Verizon.

Our head of our network Nicki Palmer was on hand to help reveal the new Moto Mod

& smartphone. Here's what she had to say.

5G will not be short of ushering in what we're calling the fourth industrial revolution.

It will change the way we live, work, learn & play. And eventually it'll touch

nearly every sector in our economy.

It has the potential to dramatically improve our global society.

So here's the moto z3 available exclusively from Verizon. Starting August 16th.

This has the really cool fingerprint scanner on the side, it's got a dual camera on

the back so you can take awesome photos & turbo charging so you can get a fast charge

very, very quickly. Best of all it will be compatible with the 5G Moto Mods,

which we'll release pricing & availability at a later date.

But right now this will work fantastic on our 4G LTE network.

Get yours August 16th, check us out VerizonWireless.com

S. Thanks, George.

J. Now, the other big news of the week, Hans Vestberg is now officially CEO of Verizon.

He's in the process of moving, and shared this photo on Twitter and Instagram

and he reminds us that we've all got to put in the work.

You can learn more about Hans in a collection of interviews and articles we've put

together for you on the web.

S: Our teams continue to respond to the wildfires that have ravaged parts

of Northern California. Curtiz Mentz has more.

The Verizon Crisis Response team is on scene in Redding, California here at the very

devastating Carr fire. The Carr fire has already destroyed over a 1,000 homes.

When it was safe to do so the men & women of our network assurance team immediately

dispatched a COW & put it on the air, providing valuable 4G LTE service to the

community of Redding. In addition to the Crisis Response Team setup at 2 Red Cross

shelters providing phone service, Wi-Fi & a charging station so that the folks

that have been evacuated have some sort of communication. Jeremy back to you.

J: Thanks, Curtis. You know - it's in our Credo that we run to a crisis.

And in this year's Credo video - we turned the V team into filmmakers to see the

Credo through your eyes. Here are some of your favorite lines.

Bigness is not our strength,

Best is our strength.

We are not driven by ego, but by accomplishments.

Everything we do, is built on strong foundation of our corporate values.

Our actions produce measurable results.

The line in the Credo that actually leaps right off the page at me is that we are

accountable & we follow through with a sense of urgency.

S: So cool to see our V Teamers from around the world.

Now, another favorite line is

"We deliver superior customer experiences through our products and our actions."

That was definitely true when tech expert Katrina Quanne, along with Hum,

helped a customer track down her stolen car, and with it, her adorable dog, Molly.

J: Always a good week when we help save a puppy! Now a few weeks ago, we had our

first-ever company-wide Hack Day. The judges have narrowed down the 1,000 plus

hacks to the top 20, we're very close to announcing the winners.

In the meantime, check out VZWeb for some of the ideas that came from Hack Day.

One of them is from the 5G Open Innovation team whose idea is to raise the bar

with 5G by creating AR/VR technology for technicians to troubleshoot issues

in the field or get a quick refresher. Check out the full video and other examples

of hacks that other teams came up with.

S: Can't wait to see what those winning ideas are. Alright, that's going to wrap

it up for us. Have a great weekend, everyone. And until next time, you are up to speed.
