Top 5 Tag Teams WWE Should Break Up Next
5 THE BLUDGEON BROTHERS This may seem like a strange one to kick things off since at the time of typing this The Bludgeon Brothers have only had two televised matches, both of which were against the now-defunct Hype Bros.
Let's be honest though, the gimmick is pretty terrible. Imagine if NXT's Authors Of Pain were called up to SmackDown Live next week and had to take on Harper and Rowan.
The former Wyatts would look ridiculous next to AOP in their current get-up. What's more is that Luke Harper has so much potential as a singles star.
It looked as if WWE had realized that potential earlier this year when Harper was involved in the WWE Championship angle between Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton. Unfortunately, that was swiftly followed up by the Bludgeon Brother being off TV for months.
4 SHELTON BENJAMIN AND CHAD GABLE The majority of the WWE Universe was probably pretty excited when news broke that SmackDown Live managed to attain the services of Shelton Benjamin—an extremely talented former Superstar returning to the company that made him famous.
Unfortunately, a freak injury indefinitely put that comeback on hold. Considering American Alpha were still together at that time it would have been very interesting to know what WWE originally had planned for Benjamin.
Now that he finally has arrived, he's been paired with Chad Gable and the team just isn't taking.
Both men would be better off as singles stars, and it would be great to kick start that with a singles feud between the two of them. The matches would be great!.
3 THE SHIELD This one is definitely coming, although when exactly it will happen is still unclear.
WWE hinted at it a little on Raw this past week when Seth Rollins was asked if The Shield were about to go their separate ways once again now that Roman Reigns is Intercontinental Champion.
The Architect said hell no, but trust us, it's coming. The Big Dog doesn't even need to be a part of it.
Reigns will have his own thing going on come WrestleMania season while Ambrose and Rollins could fight among themselves. Perhaps it will be the turn of Ambrose to betray Rollins.
It did take The Lunatic Fringe a long time to trust Rollins this time around after all.
2 THE HARDY BOYZ The Hardy Boyz were once a casualty of a time long ago when WWE really went on a spree of splitting up tag teams.
After that happened it's hard to argue Jeff Hardy didn't go on to become the more successful of the two brothers, at least in WWE. After they left though, Matt found his niche when he became Broken.
Well, as of this past Monday, it seems that WWE has finally been given the go ahead to make Matt Broken once again. With Jeff currently out injured, it will give his brother the perfect chance to get a head start.
Then when Jeff does return instead of making him Brother Nero once again, he can go it alone and maybe even have one last shot at becoming a World Champion once again.
1 THE NEW DAY For over three years now, The New Day have been a staple of WWE's tag division. In that time, the trio has become the longest reigning Tag Team Champions in the company's history.
Considering the amount of New Day merchandise WWE must shift, it boggles the mind to think that they will ever break up these three. It will happen one day though, and it may actually happen sooner rather than later.
It's pretty plain to see that while they make a great team, all three men would also be very valuable assets to the singles division.
Big E has been a favorite of Vince McMahon's for a long time, Kofi Kingston was an established star before New Day ever even existed, and as a part of the trio, Xavier Woods has proven how good he really can be.
Rest assured though whenever the break up is instigated, it will be a shocking and potentially heartbreaking moment.
