Youtube daily what Dec 31 2017

so happy new year 2018 I have been reflecting on what I have learned this

year and here it is I'm gonna jump right in one of the top things I learned is

that sometimes when you help people sometimes helping people isn't helping

them. It's enabling them to use the mental health jargon so really think

about that one it took me a long time to get to but when you put the oars down

and quit rowing the truth is revealed so I've been practicing that this year and

it's been illuminating to say the least and on that topic sometimes I forget

forget about it to meditate but guess what the reason I'm bewildered is

because I'm not being still so

it can only take us 5 to 10 minutes and an answer will come or you'll know the

direction I have a complaint anything I do that presses on your third eye I'll

show ya if you want a private session okay and then, Oh Big Thing when you have

a feeling in your gut and something feels off guess what? It is off. But you

don't have to have the evidence yet you just go with the gut and I know we've

talked about this before but it doesn't really mean anything unless you really

use it in practice so you can read about it and you can hear about it and you can

think about it but unless you actually follow it that's where the treasure lies.

Oh and I tried a new thing this year I almost didn't do it I am partnering with

Airbnb now leading an experience of photography experience in San Francisco

and it's going great I absolutely love it read the reviews the link is below

and it's funny because I almost didn't do it you know it's funny how don't

believe the things that you think don't believe everything you think because I

was like I don't know if I can get there and guess what I love going to the city

I love the Palace of Fine Arts, I love the marina, I'm rediscovering it in a new

way which is super great I lived there a long time ago many

decades ago and talk about bewildered I was 20 nothing didn't know what the

heck I was doing but I lived there little over a year and I really liked it

but I just didn't I couldn't I couldn't cope with the bigness it was the biggest

city I'd ever lived in and I just I walked all over I rode my bike so it was

a good experience but anyway now it's better. So if you want to learn how to

take amazing pictures I'm looking at my notes here it's just funny because I

almost didn't do it and I love it and my work is my play I love my job oh and

then another thing be curious. Keep being curious and you'll never get old. I

learned a new way to travel with the Son this year favorite vacation just got

back Cambodia Thailand Nepal and we went together we were both backpacking for

two months we lived in studios by the ocean in Cambodia and I realized that

yeah we got to spend a lot of time together and it's so neat when you can

see your family in a new way and learn more about them by spending time

together so really glad I did that and the last thing I want to talk about is

it was just some random person at Whole Foods I ran into while I was eating. She

was talking about how how it's so horrible about the sexism for women and

everything I said well you guys start your own business if you don't want to

be bossed around by a guy and you know it can still happen but it happens less

when you get to choose your clients so here I'm telling her something that's

really oh and guess what this is the funniest thing because thirty years ago

when I started my business people were like oh but what about the health

benefits and the SEP IRA I mean the IRA and all that it's like no you

have to really put those things aside you can't just go into it with all the

t's crossed and the I's dotted yeah it's a risk, it might fail. But

complaining about everything rather than doing something about okay so what it

made me realize is there's doers and then there's complainers. Be a doer don't

just complain about something if you really want to change your life you can

so I'm gonna leave you with that namaste have a wonderful year that's a

Redwood in the back, Redwoods are only in Northern California which almost makes

me just busts open my heart so enjoy have a gorgeous new year see

WHAT I EAT IN A DAY ON KETO + EMPTY APARTMENT TOUR (LOS ANGELES) - Duration: 14:41.

good morning guys it is another day and I am going to be showing you guys what I

eat I'm super excited I just signed the lease to meet the new apartment and I

got the keys a little bit early it's kind of perfect since we start the lease

January first technically their offices are going to be closed so we had to get

the keys on the 29th Hey yeah so I'm super excited I'm going to have some

eggs and avocado this is literally my favorite part of cooking eggs

honestly hearing it sizzle in the butter

so this is the final product some eggs I put a little bit probably two

tablespoons of cheese on it and some avocado some good fat I just put a

little bit of salt and pepper on the avocado also hmm avocado and eggs are

literally the best thing ever I could have put more cheese on my eggs but you

know trying to be better about my cheese consumption I feel like I you she's like

literally on everything and that's not always good for the

stomach you know I mean mmm all right I'm gonna finish a nervous and I'm gonna

take you guys to see the new place mmm

I'm so excited also we're still keeping it classy as

eff with this boss water it was like the last one that I have actually I love

this but I think I like food you better I'm a foodie girl

so I'm on the way to the apartment now and I'm like super excited of ten more

minutes it's only like 15 minutes from my old place and next year I actually

don't have to go to work until 30 minutes later than normal so instead of

being at work at 8:00 I have to be at work by 8:30 so that gives me extra time

so I probably will have to leave home at around the same time that I leave now

which I don't really mind I'll be on the road a little bit longer but it's okay

because because this place is a like so much cheaper but like I don't feel like

I'm getting gypped at all it's such a fair play like I can't even express how

hard it is to find an apartment in Los Angeles that is actually fairly priced

I'm super excited to live here though I love this area I'm always in this area

anyway so it just makes sense that I found a place here literally the closest

Wingstop is in this area to just FYI so yeah no but other than that there's a

lot of stuff here and a lot of people here so I'm excited to connect with

people thumbs up if you guys like these um car blog style too

I I mean I do like just showing my food in my what 8 in a day's but I don't mind

showing you guys other things like what I'm doing it's honestly boring stuff

usually usually it's grocery shopping or getting food or going to work or going

to Starbucks so it's like little like boring things but I don't mind adding

that into my vlogs if you guys you know want to see me a little more

let me know though in the comments down below I'm really obsessed with this lip

color I bought it and my last one I eat in a day video and it's just like a

muted Brown so it's like my lip color but like

all over my lip if that makes sense because my lips there's like darker on

the outside and it gets in and it's lighter in the middle there's just kind

of mutes and it's all one color I love it

this place just feels right and then the places since I've like moved from

Florida have felt right so I'm hoping this is the third time's a charm because

I really don't like moving for a while like I'm so tired of moving and that's

partly why I was gonna just stay at my place and be okay with staying at my

place but honestly it's just too expensive it's too expensive

this is lost water this is actually the first bottle that I'm drinking and it's

already like 250 I woke up super late today I set my alarm for 7:00 tell me

why I grabbed the alarm because it's in my bathroom because I don't leave it in

my room took my phone brought it in bed back in bed with me and fell back asleep

and woke up at like 10:40

but you know what I do feel arrested so I can't even complain about getting

extra sleep because it clearly was needed but I'm about to check out my

excited I'm super excited like literally at the area alone there's just so nice

this is my home huh thank you guys everyone that has been

praying for me I felt it I felt it I knew as soon as I walked into this place

the woods gonna be mine like I do it the kitchen all alone that's what I'm saying

it the kitchen alone here you guys do it you please okay so here's the con at

first you don't understand storage is like a big thing in Los Angeles so the

fact that this has a walk-in storage as soon as you get in that's a big deal

this is a living room our last place we were like in caves we only had one

window really so there's so much window and view space I'm just I'm so happy

look at this this is the dining area so you'll probably be seeing my mukbangs

here again more views you can I don't know if you can see that those are the

mountains in this kitchen it was the main reason I got this place like in LA

you have to get your own fridge Craigslist I'm gonna be a best friend I

had to get this place for this kitchen it's beautiful like first of all more

storage here come on and you guys saw my last play

though it was a nice place so yeah we downsized but I didn't want to

downsize on the quality of place there's just so much storage here I'm so excited

like and again we didn't have windows in our kitchen so I just can already feel

that my videos are going to be a lot more brighter just better just better

for you guys and I'm super excited okay so now let's go this is a little little

middle kind of hallway area again storage this probably will be like our

towels and hair products and blankets and things like that but it's like all

the way up top it's all the way about it like storage is such a big thing here so

I'm super happy and that we have some storage bathroom this bathroom is

gorgeous and there's another window like there was no one does in our last

bathroom so hey we have medicine cabinets like you guys don't even

understand the struggle of finding a nice place and Los Angeles it's not easy

especially on a budget so and that's gonna be my sister's room I won't show

it I respect for her but here is my room it

is a little bit smaller than my last place but oh so much better for this all

just this window with this view alone I can already tell my mornings are gonna

be a lot better just looking outside and being able to see that view

and then actually so this so you can really see this first of all this right

here that doesn't happen in Los Angeles a ceiling fan and light unheard up but

we have hopefully I will be having some outfit of the days here eh eh eh eh eh

eh yes my last place it was like this was

the size this just right here that was my closet and now I have all of

this even I can walk in it like I cannot believe it please you guys I am just sit

down have a little heart-to-heart I

can't believe this place is mine I hope I don't have to move anytime soon

because I love this place so much I love it I finished the apartment and this is

actually my new neighbor let him know who you are she actually does twitch so

literally I do that for everything I love IKEA though like little things like

I got no I don't know what's in this gravy but I'm just gonna pretend like I

hey I got veggies all veggies instead of mashed potatoes so yeah me back at the

old place just saying is so nice oh we went to I was like literally the first

second time I met her so she's super nice hopefully I'll get hang out with

her more but yeah I have leftovers I ended up eating about half of the food

so I might eat these later on tonight we'll see probably if I stay up long I

probably will sing as I woke up today at like 10:40 we're not gonna talk about

that we're not gonna talk about that future Kayla here I'm actually editing

now and I am snacking on the cocoa polo elderberry I've actually never heard of

elderberries before this chocolate is amazing I started it yesterday I'm

probably like maybe half a serving this whole thing is only two servings this

after I finish eating this I'm definitely repurchase I got this at the

Quito meetup like I'm just slowly going through all my Quito meetup stuff but

this is really good huh I'll show you I already had one piece but it has I don't

know if you can see but it has those little

hmm I'm literally done editing Joe but I did want it but that I had some

chocolate to drive mmm and this is amazing

I'm gonna try some of their other flavors because this one's so good I

Are You Depressed? + What You Need To Do! - Duration: 2:59.

Hi I'm Ryan and I suffer with depression.

And I'm going to tell you about it.

So what is Depression?

So simply put, depression is very complex.

Commonly people will tell you that it's due to low levels of chemicals in the brain.

But it isn't just that.

Really it's an unsure illness that really doesn't have a solid origin.

So I'm sorry for the vauge explaination but what you should really want to know is that

if you have it or not.

But before we talk about that, let me give you some basics.

So who gets depression?

Yet again it's another vauge answer.

Absolutely anyone can suffer from it and at any age too!

So other people I know have had it from hormonal imbalnces, pregnancy, stress but the list

is very long and some people claim that it can even happen randomly.

So I guess you're wondering, what does depression feel like?

So many depressed people will have very little ambition and they will become a very unhappy person generally.

So common symtpoms are fatigue, concentration difficulties, a lack of interest in things

that you once found pleasureabe and a very wide range of emotions that won't make sense to you.

In the description I'll give you a link to other symtpoms that you may get, these are

from the NHS website and webMD.

So if you're wondering what you should do, a good place to start is going to your family

doctor, other places you can go are places that specialise in mental health or any specialists

in your local area, whether it's a paid or free appointment.

So what these people will be able to do, is give you some advice, they may be even able

to diagnose you.

So one tip I have is to be very honest with them, give them as much information as you

can and they'll be able to do the best for you.

If you're wondering what makes me a professional about depression.

I've suffered with it since I was about six years old and that was actually the first

time I saw a psychologist.

I've been on varying ammounts of medication and I've tried a dozen plus techniques of

how to deal with stress and anxiety and just general wellbeing.

The way it used to affect me is that I tend to hide away and not deal with a lot of problems.

Now I'm able to do a lot more in my life, I still get the odd day that, you know is

not a great day and I feel bad but I try to get on with as much as I can and just stay

positive and stay active.

And I found that that helps a lot in trying to battle against depression.

So in the next episode I'll talk about what I've found helpful in my long battle with depression.

I'll be talking about mindfulness and just general positive thinking.

And I'll also give you some tips that I've found helpful along the way.

foundation. So the message I want you to take today is treat your employees well.

If you're the type of business owner that motivates your employees through

fear and intimidation tactics, and you constrict their freedom & autonomy, and

breathe down their neck, and micromanage... that is a recipe for failure. In the book

Drive by Daniel Pink he discovered that we are innately motivated by three

things in the workplace. Autonomy, mastery, and purpose. If you can give your

employees those three things you are miles ahead of the majority of

businesses out there when it comes to the workplace and what you are offering

your employees as true incentives. It's not massive salaries and bonuses that

create loyalty, yeah you might get some good performance for a short while but

if that employee does not have the feeling of self-direction, the feeling of

control in their life coming to work for you. If they don't have the feeling of

mastery, which means if they don't have the feeling of growing

towards something and getting better at what it is

they're doing - not stuck in some stagnant position with a low ceiling on their

head where they have no room for growth. But instead they have the room to grow,

they have a clear plan on how to grow within your company and you provide them

that as a business owner - again, worlds ahead of the competition and the job

marketplace. And number three, purpose. If you can provide your employees with a

grander purpose to the work that they're doing. To create more than a job for them

but an actual mission and a vision towards working towards something. Making

the world a better place in some capacity. That is how you foster true

loyalty and high level performance from talented people. So remember guys

autonomy, mastery, and purpose. That is how you attract high level people and keep

them loyal as Jim Patterson said, without that loyalty you are on quicksand. Crush

I will show you what I received for Xmas in my family night...

I received...hmmm.... I won't necessairily say who gave me what.

So I received a card with a Christmas lottery game inside

A nice Christmas shirt (pull)... lol

I don't know the game though

And I also received a.... "how much?".... a 15$ gift card of Tim Hortons (I think it's 15$)

I also received another gift card this time of 25$ of Canadian Tire store

And, to go along with the flow, I received another Christmas lottery game

So I will play these two lottery games later...

I will show you in another video, a vlog, to let you know if i became a millionnaire!

My boyfriend bought me this weight.

To do my squats.

Because I used it when I went to gym sessions.

So when we went to Dollarama... They sell these at the dollar store...

I almost bought it many times but, ya know, we always say "well, no!"

We never buy this stuff for ourselves but when somebody does it, we are happy to have one.

This! Same thing! We were going to the "SAAQ" (an a liquor store) and hummm...

...you saw it in another video I made. If it's not uploaded yet it will be very soon.

In a Christmas shopping video, I went to the "SAAQ" (a Québec's liquor store) and they had these little vodka bottles for Christmas with different flavours.

I had never saw this before because usually it's always malt liquor but this is real vodka.

I was like "Oh I want some!"

So then my boyfriend went to buy some... lol

I bought myself almonds Bailey's that they were selling only for Christmas time.

So I told myself it was gonna be too much ya know! Too much money spent on alcohol for myself... espicially since I don't even drink a lot!

Though I thought it was cute and fun but... nah!

But my boyfriend bought it!

This too I think I will open it during a vlog and I will do like a "tasting challenge" or we could taste while blindfolded and try to guess the flavour...

So now I have 2 videos to film. Hmmmm... the lottery games and the tasting challenge.

I also received a wireless mouse.

Because it must been over 3 or 4 years now that I curse over my computer mouse (with wire)

The USB wire always bugs and it always does "tadoodaah, tadadaahhh....."

...and I curse and I curse but I never buy one! lol

Because it always works well soon or later...

I have a hate-love relationship with my mouse.

So my boyfriend was pissed off of always hear me curse so he bought me this wonderful wireless mouse!

And, this is funny...

...because these are shoes, size seven, men... and this I will say who gave them to me ok?

The person that gave that to me is......

THE DUMPSTER!!!

My boyfriend goes to throw some garbage in the outdoor dumpster and he's like : hummm, there is brand new shoes in here!

Seem to fit!!

Well, yeah! They do fit me!

At my home because it was very humide, my shoes all took off (broke) so I needed some. I went to buy some but I was never satisfied.

But then my boyfriend finds them in the trash! I was like : "AWW a gift for me!! :)"

YES!

I know who threw them away but we won't tell him. Anyways, he threw them away!

Oh and I received these chocolate bars and... wait, we will all see them at the same time...

"This giant bar with miniature bars..." NO, wait!

This giant bar of multiple other chocolate bars of Lindt and these two other little... chocolate bars...

...of the "Choquette" brand! (well it's "Choupette", sorry!)

These two little bars, I think one is salty popcorn flavouring... is it that?

It's like mid-dark chocolate. Me, I eat a lot of dark chocolate like 90% and more.

But this is 48% and 45%.

And this here is Lindt and it has all these kinds inside.

I do buy them often already...

But ya know, there is not anything above 85% inside this one

We can see it on the box. And now, I only eat 90% and above if possible.

There is 70% dark, and 85%.

There is... "fleur de sel"... This is not 85%... There is some orange dark chocolate... This too is not very high pourcentage... And there is... caramel and "fleur de sel".

The three last ones are not very high pourcentage of dark chocolate.

They are almost just milk chocolate... these three bars.

The two dark ones are, like Is aid, 70% and 85%

It's a big package

I was vere decieved because It's been two years that I see this and my boyfriend also eats dark chocolate.

So it's been two years that I see it and I think to myself : "Oh I will buy him this" but everytime I look behind and I'm like : "Well..."

So I dont buy him this. And another thing that decieved me

is that I thought it was just one big plate of chocolate. It would have been cool.

It was selling at 12$-15$ I think. It's still cool, for real.

It's just that I hesitate to buy it because of that but it turns out I received it!

That's it for the chocolate!

Then I received from my aunt

She made me some jewels... She makes a lot of DIY and we all got some jewels this year.

I think it's super cool!

They are just enough big, enough long, not too flashy but just enough...

It can fit with a lot of outfits.

Thank you dear aunt!! :)

Now, the two gifts here... they are... hummmm.... we had.... hummm

We all brought unwrapped gifts without names on it to play games.... Let's say 20-ish.

...on the table. We were supposed to play games but we didn't have time because we had too much other gifts to open and it was late.

So we all went to chose some gifts on the table and I ended up with these! lol

Cream...lotion for hands. One is aloe and minth lotion, the other is strawberries and coconut, and the last one is vanilla and almonds.

Me, normally, any cream or hand lotion is, yes usefull for me, but I have a reaction on anything that is parfumed. So we will try and see!

There is also this here... it's a bit girly-ish the little handbag lol

Emmm, I have no idea if I will like it or not.

"Inspired by Marc Jacob, Decadence, Body lotion". Body lotion is not stuff I use but let's just try it!

And this looks like a sorta cologne

I don't know what it will smell, it will smell like Barbie!!

We will try it!!

But I find all this cool anyways. So these are the gifts I received this year

So I will mayby do a little video editing with parts of sequences I filmed on our Christmas family night.

So you can see what goes on in a Québec's Christmas diner.

Christmas nights arent realy the same in every family because in Quebec it is celebrated in many ways but I'm sure you can find some similarities between them.

So I will try to show you some parts of it. Surely I didn't filmed in mind to make a video but I filmed to create our personnal souvenirs so I will try to only show parts that don't imply other people that don't want to be in my videos or that don't know that I'm on Youtuble.

it's been like 2 Christmas that he passes with me and them, they are not used of giving gifts between them (adults) so it depends.

Us we do give a lot but most the time it's gifts that are hand made or that we packed up during the year.

Because it's realy not that important to spend money just to say "who bought the gift that cost the most?" ya know.

But overall, we still ahve a lot of pleasure. Me, I like... I love to wrap up gifts and give. It doesn't bother me at all.

Feeding My Betta Fish (What I Currently Feed My Betta Fish) - Duration: 4:27.

hey y'all welcome back Mandy with my hectic life pets here where we talk

about all things pet and pet related and today I wanted to share with you what I

currently use to feed my betta fish so it is always best to try to give your

betta a varied diet and your fish in general so I wanted to share with you

some of the different products that I use to feed my fish and how I prepare

them and how frequently I feed them so for my dry foods I usually use the new

life spectrum community fish and my Omega one of freeze dried blood worms

and for my frozen food I really like the freshwater multi pack it has four

different types of foods in there so that way it doesn't take as much space

up in my freezer so it does have a large variety of foods in it some of the cubes

are going to be the freshwater frenzy emerald entre spirulina brine shrimp and

bloodworms so when I am preparing the pellets then I usually pick out a few

pellets then I soak them in the chlorinated water for about 30 minutes

once I'm done soaking them then I will usually drop them into my net to get the

water out and then dump the pellets back in to my container after I've prepared

the food then I'll usually use a pair of tweezers to grab out just a couple

pellets now I usually feed about one to three pellets per betta fish depending

on the size of my fish and I use the pellets to feed my fish on most days now

preparing frozen food is super easy I just pop a cube and

my container add some de chlorinated water and wait for it to thaw this

process usually takes about 10-15 minutes so I usually try and break open

a cube when I'm cleaning up the kitchen or making dinner or something I prepare

all my frozen food pretty much the same way not just with my bloodworms it's

really easy and a simple process it just takes a little bit of time for the food

to thaw out now that our frozen food has thawed out

I'm gonna take my net and rinse that off and I'm just going to flip the net over

and drop that into my container and now we've rinsed off all the nasty excess so

we can feed our betta now I'm just taking my tweezers and plucking out

about two bloodworms and dropping them into the tank for the

betta fish now when I'm feeding my mixtures then I usually take just a

small amount on my tweezers that's about the same amount as like maybe two

pellets would be so then we're just going to go ahead and plop that in or

the betta to eat okay so that's pretty much how I feed my betta fish I do try

to vary their diet and alternate between different food sources I did not add how

I prepare my freeze-dried bloodworms in this video I already do have a video for

that which I will put a link in the description below but that is pretty

much all there is to feeding my beta's that's all for today's video if you
