Let's face it, sometimes getting a good, brisk walk on a treadmill, or knocking out
a 5K in the gym is all we can manage to stick to our fitness goals.
Are we missing out on some key benefits by running on a treadmill instead of taking our
run outside, though?
Running on a treadmill would seem to offer the very same benefits.
If you run at the same pace for the same amount of time, even adjusting the incline to match
the challenge of running an actual hill outdoors, you're still going to burn the same number
of calories and build the same number of fast-twitch fibers in your muscles.
You'll improve your cardiovascular health just the same, too, but here's what you
aren't getting out of your treadmill workout in the gym:
1.
Being outdoors improves your mood.
Any cardiovascular exercise helps to create feel-good endorphins that contribute to the
"runner's high" we've all heard about, but mother nature offers a color palate – blues
and greens – known to help us feel happy.
Then there's the sunlight.
The last time I checked, most gyms are lit with grotesque fluorescent lights which make
even the most fit athlete look like death warmed over.
They also don't expose us to Vitamin D – an important nutrient which helps us feel great,
but that also fights against cancer, bone deterioration and even seasonal depressive
disorder.
2.
Being outdoors can help attention restoration.
There is a disorder named for our inability to focus on anything.
If you've noticed your attention span is about as long as a flea, then you likely need
to restore your cognitive abilities.
Taking your run, and other physical activities outdoors gives your brain a rest.
So, though might be able to watch the next episode of your favorite television program
while on the treadmill, simply being outside will give your mind the rest it truly deserves.
Your body also gets what it craves too – movement!
3.
Being outdoors reduces the incidence of cardiac arrest, Running outside can help decrease
inflammation, spurs weight loss, and can even help you sleep better.
4.
Exercise already slows aging by helping the body scavenge free radicals, but being outdoors
increases anti-aging factors by at least 35%.
Research published by the Journal of Aging health found that spending time outdoors even
helps people suffering from dementia and other diseases more commonly found among the elderly.
5.
Being outdoors will inspire you to run farther.
Boredom is a big reason we don't make it that extra mile when we're clocking them.
Researchers have found that simply being outside can inspire us to run a little farther, or
challenge our bodies in a new way.
Maybe we take a different route or run downhill instead of uphill for a change.
The added variety is good for muscle confusion, and the sights and sounds of being outside
can make running much more interesting.
The next time you think of driving to the gym, finding your favorite treadmill, and
knocking out a few miles, reconsider taking your workout outdoors.
You'll be smarter, happier, and live longer for it.

There's An Organ In Your Brain Which Seats Your Soul - Duration: 12:20.
Theres An Organ In Your Brain Which Seats Your Soul
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall
be full of light Matthew 6:22-23
Situated at the anatomical center of our brain lies a mysterious gland that may be the intermediary
gate that bridges our physical and spiritual experiences here on Earth.
Seventeenth-Century French philosopher Rene Descartes coined this organ, called the pineal
gland, as the seat of the soul, as he believed it provided people with a medium
from which our soul could be expressed through our physicality.
The pineal gland has been a topic of great debate over the past couple of decades as
the science community is still trying to discover its complete biological function.
Dr. Rick Strassman, M.D., author of DMT: The Spirit Molecule, has dedicated years of research
to the pineal gland as he suggests that this gland is the factory for a powerful brain
chemical called DMT (Di-Methyl Tryptamine) which when produced induces a person into
a psychedelic and mystical experience.
Many different cultures talk about our third eye, and modern theories suggest that this
may be a reference to the pineal.
Even more peculiar is the fact that pineal gland symbology can be traced to many civilizations
such as the Romans, Mexicans, Egyptians, Babylonians and the Greeks.
It is interesting to note that even the Catholic Church displays pineal gland imagery, as the
Vatican Square contains the largest pineal-like statue in the world.
So what could all of this mean?
Is there ancient knowledge of this gland that previous cultures had access to?
Furthermore, what role does the pineal gland play in our spiritual experiences and how
can we explain this in physiological terms?
One of the earliest accounts of the pineal gland is in the writings of a third-century
B.C. Greek physician named Herophilus, where he discusses the piniform or pinecone shaped
organ as being the size of our pinkie fingernail.
The name comes from the Latin word pinea, which literally means pinecone.
As mentioned previously, the gland sits at the approximate geometric center of the brains
mass.
Additionally, the gland is not technically part of the brain, as it is not protected
by the blood-brain barrier.
In his book DMT: The Spirit Molecule, Dr. Rick Strassman discusses the glands unique
solitary status within the brain: [] All other brain sites are paired,
meaning that they have left and right counterparts; for example, there are left and right frontal
lobes and left and right temporal lobes.
As the only unpaired organ deep within the brain, the pineal gland remained an anatomical
curiosity for nearly two thousand years.
No one in the west had any idea what its function was.
Additionally, the pineal gland sits close to the sensory and emotional centers of the
brain, which could explain why spiritual experiences can evoke so much emotion and sensation.
In the 17thcentury Rene Descartes was searching for the source of our thoughts, and proposed
that the solitary pineal organ could be the generator.
Descartes was interested in the location of the pineal in relation to the cerebrospinal
fluid byways, and suggested that when the pineal gland secreted our thoughts that
they moved through the cerebrospinal fluid to make its way to the rest of the brain.
David Wilcocks New York Times bestseller The Source Field Investigations discusses
the idea that our pineal gland is our third eye which provides us with visuals during
psychedelic and near death experiences (NDE), and also while we dream, finding biological
evidence to support this claim, [] it is apparent that several relationships
exist between the pineal gland and retina.
The similarities in development and morphology have been obvious for many years.
Although the mammalian pineal gland is considered to be only indirectly photosensitive, the
presence of proteins in the pineal which are normally involved in photo-transduction [light
sensing] in the retina, raises the possibility that direct photic events may occur in the
mammalian pineal gland This idea has become a common theory in pineal
gland research.
Needless to say the pineal gland does appear to be set up for signal transduction, just
like the retina of the eye, where it picks up visual images and sends them to the brain.
Scientists suggest that the interior of the pineal gland is completely black, but we must
question why our bodies would create this third eye with light detecting cells if there
was no light to be detected in there.
Could the images that are created when we dream or during an out-of-body experience
come from the photic cells inside the pineal gland?
Strassman proposes that a potent psychedelic molecule called DMT is produced by the pineal
gland.
This molecule is found innate in nature, such as in certain grasses and tree roots and even
in our own bodies.
The experience brought on by humans who smoke isolated forms of DMT is said to be profoundly
vivid, spiritual and life changing.
Pineal DMT production must be regarded as plausible considering that the pineal gland
is known to produce melatonin and serotonin, two neurotransmitters which are structurally
very similar to DMT and which play a part in our mood and sleep cycles.
To add to the mystery, let us consider the blatant pineal gland imagery that is expressed
in sacred art and architecture all around the world.
As mentioned before, the word pineal comes from a Latin word meaning pinecone,
and therefore the pinecone was used to represent the pineal gland throughout history.
Wilcocks The Source Field Investigations devotes an entire chapter to the pineal gland
and its representation throughout history.
The following are just a few examples from the book:
A bronze sculpture of a hand from the mystery cult of Dionysus in the late Roman Empire
has a pinecone on the thumb, amidst other strange symbols
A Mexican god holds pinecones and a fir tree in a sculpture
A staff of Egyptian god Osiris from a museum in Turino, Italy, has two kundalini serpents
that entwine together and face a pinecone on the top
The Assyrian/Babylonian winged god Tammuz is pictured holding a pinecone
The Greek god Dionysus carries a staff with a pinecone on top
The Catholic pope carries a staff with a pinecone directly above where his hand is positioned
The largest pinecone sculpture in the world is prominently featured in Vatican Square-
in the Court of the Pinecone
King Tuts golden burial mask features a kundalini serpent emerging from the
general area of the pineal gland in his forehead
Almost all Hindu gods and goddesses are pictured with a bindi, or third eye, between their
eyebrows
A statue of the Mesoamerican god Quetzalcoatl is shaped like the pineal gland and contains
a necklace around Quetzalcoatls neck which is made out of pinecones
Perhaps one of the most disturbing facts is how much the Catholic Church promotes pinecone
imagery.
It is clear that this was an extremely important symbol to the early Church fathers considering
the placement of the giant pinecone statue in the Vatican.
Is the Vatican concealing sacred knowledge that would contribute to mankinds physical
and spiritual evolution?
Wilcock investigates further into the matter in his book, describing the written history
of the pineal gland: [] Plato says in The Republic (Book
VII), the soul through these disciplines has an organ purified and enlightened, an
organ better worth saving than ten thousand corporeal eyes, since truth becomes visible
through this alone. Additionally, masonic scholar Manly Palmer
Hall is quoted in the Occult history of Man as stating the following:
[] The Hindus teach that the pineal gland is the third eye, called the Eye of
Dangma.
It is called by the Buddhists the all-seeing eye, and is spoken of in Christianity as the
eye single[the pineal gland] is a spiritual organ which is later destined to be what it
once was, namely a connecting link between the human and the divine
It is evident that the pineal has been a focus throughout history, with philosophies of all
cultures discussing this organ in relation to the ever-attaining journey towards spiritual
enlightenment.
It is possible that the pineal gland is our connection to the divine, providing us with
visions during many metaphysical experiences.
The next question arises, why is it being kept secret?
Modern theories suggest that the mystery schools which have been hidden in secrecy
for millennia hold the knowledge of the pineal gland that many ancient civilizations understood,
and these secret societies are keeping this information from the general public to maintain
more power and control.
With this information in mind, let us look at the effect that our environment and diet
have on our pineal gland.
As mentioned earlier, the pineal gland is not protected by our blood brain barrier,
which renders the fluid inside the pineal susceptible to mineral deposit build up.
These minerals compile as hard white clusters, and can appear on X-rays or MRIs.
One theory suggests that the heavy minerals and toxins that are dumped into our environments
and that are consequently absorbed into our bodies have a retarding effect on the potential
power of our pineal gland.
One of the main chemicals that cause mineralization of our pineal gland is Fluoride.
As many of us know, fluoride is considered an FDA approved medicine which aids in the
re-mineralization of our teeth, preventing tooth decay.
Fluoride is dumped into most North American communal water systems, making it increasingly
difficult for the population to avoid intake of this chemical.
It is safe to theorize that the powers in control have an understanding of this mineralization
process, and are utilizing Fluoride and many other toxins to debilitate our true potential
as human beings.
On a positive note however, over the past five years we have seen a substantial increase
in the removal of Fluoride from city water all over the world.
People are taking the power back into their own hands, which is inspiring in its own right.
We now understand that our pineal gland may hold the secrets to the divine enlightenment
which has been searched for and talked about since the earliest accounts of mankind.
So what can we do to cleanse our pineal gland?
Removing fluoride is the first huge step in this process.
Get the message out in your own community and be the one who makes a difference.
There are also other supplements such as blue ice skate fish oil which will help decalcify
the pineal gland.
Regardless of the elites agenda to stop the information from getting out, in this
era of internet freedom and sharing they are fighting a losing battle.
As we enter the golden age, we are unlocking the shackles which have held us down for millennia.

Which Is The Healthiest Type Of Onion - Duration: 2:29.
Which Is The Healthiest Type Of Onion (No, They're Not All The Same)
if you don't know about these type of onions then must watch this video till the end.
Recipes often call for just "onions" without specifying the type, and it's easy to default
to plain old white or yellow ones.
But is that the right choice for your health?
Turns out, there's one variety of onions that's better for you than the others.
A 2017 study published in Food Research International found that red onions were most effective
at killing human cancer cells compared with other onions thanks to their higher levels
of the antioxidants quercetin and anthocyanin.
"Anthocyanin is instrumental in providing color to fruits and vegetables, so it makes
sense that the red onions, which are darkest in color, would have the most cancer-fighting
power," says study author Suresh Neethirajan, PhD.
However, red onions aren't the only ones with these benefits.
"All onions are potent cancer fighters thanks to their high concentrations of the antioxidants
anthocyanin and quercetin," says Karen Ansel RDN.
Red onions just happen to be even better at fighting cancer thanks to their highest amounts
of anthocyanin, which increase the effectiveness of quercetin in attacking cancer-causing free
radicals, she adds.
Luckily, red onions swap in easily in place of white.
Try substituting the colorful variety anytime your usual recipes call for white or yellow
onions for an extra boost of powerful antioxidants (and flavor).

Moped Crime Which Has Increased In London - Duration: 2:50.
She's a former deputy general counsel for the FBI, that's my round about ten minutes time
But first let's tell what's happening here police in London
Who've announced new tactics to combat the growing problems of criminals using mopeds to commit offences the?
measures include new police bikes to chase suspects and stinger devices to puncture tyres
Having had three months of reductions. We're now rolling out some new tactics which you can see today
And I am convinced that the use of the spray the use of the pro spike
to safely bring scooters to a halt and
Also the use of our new
Motorbikes to allow us to stay with and follow and potentially confront scooter Nobles
Offenders will continue to reduce the numbers of these crimes
Micron correspondent Martin brunt has this update from Scotland Yard
today we've got an idea of just how big
This crime has become I mean some brief statistics in October two years ago
There was just over a thousand moped scooters being stolen a month in the capital in April this year
That figure had gone up to
1600 a month, but it's not just about the theft of these vehicles
It's also about how these vehicles are being used in some of those crimes particularly to snatch
Mobile phones and what we've also heard today is that Scotland Yard very concerned about this rise in this crime
But also saying that new measures are beginning to work
And they are reducing both the theft of those bikes and the use of them in other crimes like snatching phones
Spraying acid and so forth so new tactics are being used you may have spotted behind me
two rather slick fast looking motorbikes these are being introduced to
Motorbike cops they won't say how many but they are faster
They are lighter and more importantly they don't carry those very wide
Panniers that traditional motorbikes police motorbikes have which means that they can pursue
suspects down narrow streets and suspects are using narrow streets particularly, North London
to to attack people and snatch
Phones and so on so the introduction of these bikes is one thing they've also introduced a new spray that can be sprayed on
Suspects and bikes and they thought those suspects and bites can be matched
After arrests and they've also introduced
What people will know as a stinger a machine remotely controlled that throws out a row of spikes?
That can puncture tires and so stop suspects literally in their tracks
They say all of this is contributing to at last to get into grips with this crime and reducing it

8 Karma laws which will completely change your life - Duration: 3:25.
Life is like a box.
When you do something good, you put a good thing in the box.
When you do something wrong, you put a bad thing in the box.
The same goes for neutral things.
Karma is the strength of the Universe that treats things from the box.
Thus, the more you put good things in the box, the more Karma will treat the good things
of the box.
Karma is a complex thing that reacts according to our actions.
Here are 8 Karma laws.
If you take them to heart, they will profoundly change your life.
1.
The law of humility.
The law of humility says that you will never change anything if you refuse to accept it.
If we see our competitor as our enemy, then we are simply not concentrating on a higher
level of existence and we will not make any significant progress.
2.
The law of creation.
The law of creation affirms that life does not just happen, you must participate in it.
What surrounds us gives us clues about our inner state.
We are really the universe.
Remember that you must be yourself and surround yourself with what you want in life.
3.
The Law of Growth The law of growth says that if you want to
develop your mind, you need to change, not people and things around you.
If you want to grow your mind, it's inside of you, not outside.
When we change our heart, we change our world.
4.
The law of responsibility The law of responsibility says that there
is something wrong with your life, in fact, there is something wrong with you.
What surrounds us reflects us, and we reflect what surrounds us.
So in the end, for things to change, you have to change.
Logic, right?
You must take your responsibilities.
5.
The law of connection.
The law of connection confirms that even if two things do not seem connected, they are.
Everything is connected in the universe.
The left foot that climbs a step is connected to the right foot which will go up the next
step.
The past, the present the future are also all connected.
6.
The law of gift.
The law of gift shows that in life when you give, you receive.
If you do not give anything in this world, if you keep your arms crossed and your doors
locked, the doors you want to unlock will never unlock.
If you want an open, free and beautiful world, you must give yourself the means to make it
happen.
7.
The law of concentration.
The law of concentration says you can not think of two things at once.
Indeed, science confirms it, noting that you can think of only one thing and a half at
a time.
This is what allows us to dialogue.
You listen to what the person thinks, then half of your thinking is what you think when
they talk.
It makes sense to spend some time thinking before speaking, right?
8.
The law of presence.
The law of presence asserts that while it is important to look to the past to understand
where we are going, it is also important to exist in the present and not be too preoccupied
with the future.

Margarine vs Butter - Which Is Better For You? - Duration: 3:42.
There's two types of people in this world - there's people like butter, there's
people like margarine. Which one's right, you'll see in the video.
Hello everyone, Dr. Jason West with the butter-margarine question and I want to lay it right out
on the table right away, I'm a butter fan because I really think that it's
important to eat foods that spoil, you just eat them before they spoil.
So I think that's really important if you're evaluating any food, if little bugs don't
eat it, we're just bigger bugs, it's not gonna be
healthier for us either and I actually tried this experiment, I read a book
about the history of butter, which we're gonna talk about in just a minute but I
had an experiment, we got a tub of margarine, we opened it up, we put it into
our garage and we will observe what happens and after a couple days, here's
what happened, there wasn't any smell, there wasn't any decay, there was nothing
growing on it, no little bugs or flute flies came around it and that in of
itself tells you whether you should be eating it or not but let's talk a little
bit about margarine, where it came from and why I think butter is better.
So margarine was invented in roughly a hundred years ago, one of the original
uses according to the book I read was to fatten turkeys, it's this white kind of
clear substance and then they were trying to figure out how to get a return
on investment and they're like, well, we can't get anybody to eat the white clear
stuff so we better put a little bit of color in it and then what really took
off was when we were shipping it to soldiers in the Middle East because you
couldn't ship butter because of the temperatures that would melt but
margarine has a significantly higher temperature melting point than butter.
Now when you're shipping food, that might be a benefit but if you think about
people physiology, what we should talk about with that is if our normal body
temperature is 98.6 and margarine doesn't melt till over a hundred and ten
or a hundred and twenty degrees, what is the body gonna do with it? Well it puts
it along the 26,000 miles of circulatory pathways in the body so I could get a
little plastic layer there and in my opinion,
it significantly contributes to heart disease, there's an increased risk factor for
diabetes, it's really hard on insulin levels and you know, I really think to
tell people when they talk about margarine is, go take some Tupperware,
some plastic, put in the microwave and melt it, spread it on your toast and eat
it. Now that's kind of how I feel about margarine, I don't think it's healthy,
I don't think it's a long-term health solution, I think butter is a lot better
and there are different types of butter. I like traditional butter but you can
have almond butter, you can have coconut oil butter and some some other things
I think are a lot better for you. The margarine has way too many trans fatty
acids in it, it's not really a food, it's it's a fake food and I think it's really
hard on your long-term health, you're better off eating foods that
spoil. Butter, if you put it out in your in your garage or under a tree after a
couple days you'll see that it starts to rot and break down and bugs will eat it,
this is actually a good sign, you just don't want to eat it obviously when it's
rotten. So those are my thoughts on the butter and on the margarine discussion.
Butter's way healthier. There's a lot better things that you can do to put
melted plastic on your food.
Thanks for watching our video on butter versus
melted plastic on toast. I hope you got a lot of value out of the video, if you
liked it please give us a thumbs up.
