What's the best footrest for a commercial bar?

In this video, I'm going to show why the black pipe

foot rail is the best value for do-it-yourself

commercial bar design. Coming up!

Hey, Rick Uzubell again from Cabaret Design Group,

where I share my personal ideas and tips on bar design,

draft beer system design and product reviews.

If you're new here, consider subscribing, and please

check-out the show notes and links in the YouTube

description below. Now let's jump into the show.

For those unaware, there are a multitude of choices

when it comes to bar footrests. While the solid footrest

remains my traditional favorite, this discussion will be

limited to pipe-style foot rails.

Many are familiar with the brass footrest, typified by

ornamental rail brackets, elbows and end caps as shown here.

With the rise of do-it-yourself bar construction projects,

many websites, such as Keg Works and

ESP Metal Products have expanded offerings,

which include other architectural finishes, such as

matte black, oil-rubbed bronze, gunmetal gray

and others. This type of foot rail is normally offered

in 1 1/2 inch and 2 inch outside outside diameter tubing

and often sold as kits. These companies do a fine job.

This category of tubing is what's referred to as

"lightweight" or thin-wall tubing. This is why it can also

be formed or rolled in circular shapes. While these

products are attractive and very architectural in

appearance, they have a major flaw: they aren't built

to last; even worse, they're expensive and they'll never

look this good the day after their first use,

as they have a classy aesthetic appeal and don't take

the day-in and day-out abuse of the general public.

While installing a foot rail from thin wall tubing, the first

thing the Installer will notice is the flimsy nature

of the product and the weakness of the connections,

as they're merely pinned together with tiny set screws.

The wall thickness of this tubing is .050", which is less

than 1/16" -- not nearly (thick) enough to have

mechanical threads.

For commercial bars, the best foot rail is the type

fabricated from schedule 40 commercial pipe.

One approach is to use 1 1/2" galvanized pipe as shown

in this photo. The only thing I dislike about galvanized

pipe is it has a tinny appearance. My personal favorite

is fabricated from 2" black pipe,

as shown in this photo. The black pipe carries an

oil-rubbed appearance and will hold-up to daily use with

very little visible wear. The reason why pipe makes for

such a superior foot rail is because it's nearly five times

stronger than the lightweight tubing mentioned earlier.

Another advantage of commercial pipe are the strong

threaded connections. Supports are normally installed

every 48", but I tend to put them wherever it makes it

look most customized. The components for a typical

installation can be purchased at the Keg Works,

as shown here, or at any plumbing supply house,

including the threaded pipe and all connecting hardware

This system can be floor-supported, as shown earlier,

or off the face of the bar, as shown here. From a cost

perspective, a footrest fabricated from 2" schedule 40

black pipe will average about $25 per linear foot,

while that of the thin wall tubing will cost upwards

of $40 per linear foot -- over 1.5 times (more expensive)!

Of course, labor is extra.

If you attempt to use a thin wall footrest for a

commercial bar, it won't take you long to reach the

conclusion that you just wasted your money!

Use the commercial pipe and pipe fittings that I

mentioned above and your investment will be protected

for a long time. Best of luck!

What's in My Backpack (Supplies and Organisation for University 2018) - Duration: 8:44.

Hey guys! Today, I'm filming a video that I've wanted to film for absolutely ages, and that is...

A tour of my backpack! I'm going to take you through every single thing that I've got inside here.

It's not exactly the most fashionable bag ever - I'll admit that - but it is my favourite bag.

I've had it for ages, and I've taken it to America, to Fiji... It's served its purpose very well.

Sentimental value. Nowadays, I am taking it with me to university and even though classes haven't "officially" started yet,

this is what I've got for

orientation week. I'm gonna start with the very front pocket there. Inside my front pocket

I keep all of my chargers because

It's sort of just the perfect shape and size to fit them all in. The very first thing

I have is my Mac charger. I have no idea how to fold this properly

It's an absolute mess, so if you do know how to fold it - tell me in the comments!

Yeah, you know what a Mac charger does, it just charges my laptop. I also bring a portable charger with me

I got this for Christmas a few years ago, and it has saved my life so many times

I've got the iPhone 5, but I've had it for three years, and my dad had it before me

It's getting a bit old and it's breaking down... Sometimes

I'll just be minding my own business, my phone will be on

75% battery and it decides to die! Which means that I'm stuck without a way to contact people

And that's where this portable charger comes in handy, so I bring it with me everywhere I go just in case.

Now onto...

This tiny pocket up here

It's really tiny it doesn't have much room inside it. For starters

I've got a USB from a university that I don't even go to, so

I went to one of their open days a few years ago

And they were giving it away for free, so obviously I'm going to take a free USB! And as well as that

I've got two mykis. Now myki is the public transport card you use in Melbourne. This is the main one I use and

I've got a child's one as my backup

Just in case this one runs out of money, but yeah

I take public transport to and from uni because A. I don't have a car and B.

Even if I did have a car, the parking is like thirty dollars a day or something ridiculous, and I'm not spending that.

and

Finally in the tiny pocket. We have my old phone

It's been through the wars - like, the power button doesn't work unless you press it down really hard

It doesn't have a case or a screen cover because I just never got one after dad gave it to me

But I'm saving up for a new one so fingers crossed. So then we move on to one of the main pockets

But it's still along the side

This is probably my favourite pocket actually. It's got a lot of cool stuff in here. In one of the pockets

I've got my wallet. I got this for Christmas

At the end of last year. It looks kind of like this. I don't know if you can see it

You can open it up

That's where I put all my my driver's license, my bank cards, my ID and all that kind of thing

It just has a lot of sections

and it's easy for me to find what I need when I need it and

in the same little tiny pocket that the wallet is stuffed into is a

Whistle! So as I said earlier, I take public transport and sometimes I have classes pretty late at night. Like, I'll get home at

7:30 p.m. And my mum handed me this whistle one day and she was like, "Sam, your screaming voice isn't loud enough

Take this!!!!" I've got it with me just in case

Fingers crossed I won't ever have to use it. In the next little divider section is all of my stationery

I don't have a pencil case I had a pencil case all throughout high school, but I don't know

I'm just I'm just trying something new and I like it. So the pens that I take with me every day

I have been using for like the last eight years

They are my favourite, they fit into my hand so well, and I honestly couldn't imagine using anything else

So I hope they never discontinue these. They're the brand BIC. I'm pretty sure you've seen them before. They're pretty popular

I've got two with the colours blue, green, black and red, and they're just the ones that I use for taking notes

Writing in diaries and stuff, like I use them all the time. As well as pens

I've also got a random assortment of other stationery. I've got a fine liner

The brand is art line, and it's zero point two millimetres

So it's superfine and as well as that, I have... I don't know how to pronounce this brand name...

I've tried so many times, and I've seen it basically every day of my life

But I still don't know how! Stedlah? Staydler? I don't know. It's this pencil. It's just a 2B a pencil

A normal 2B pencil

And I also have progresso 8B pencil

Just in case I'm looking for something a lot darker. A rubber, or an eraser, or whatever you want to call it. And an orange

highlighter! Now

I usually have two: yellow and orange. Yellow is my favourite

but I somehow managed to lose it so now I'm stuck with this one. In the same pocket as

The stationery, my wallet and my whistle, we have these two books. The first book is my sketchbook

It's the moleskin one, I got it for Christmas, and I'm slowly but surely working my way through it

I'm not gonna show you now

I'm gonna do a sketchbook tour once I finished this because my other sketchbook tour absolutely blew up, which is crazy

I'll put a thingy there so you can check it out

If you haven't seen it yet. But yeah, if I'm bored on public transport, or I haven't got anything to do then

I'll just whip out my sketchbook and start drawing things

Usually people because I like drawing people more than anything else. The second book I have in here is my planner

It's the 2018 planner from Typo. It's fake fake leather obviously, but I just really loved the look of it

This is kind of like my Bible. It's where I write down

everything I have to do from lectures, to meetings, to

Tutoring appointments. Everything I've got to do throughout the day and throughout the week goes straight into here

And I've got a pretty good organization system

Which I am going to film a video about so subscribe if you want to see that! Look at that. Isn't it gorgeous

I love this so much. Can you tell? Then we move on to the

Final, final pocket, which is the main pocket. It's quite massive actually. This bag fits so much

It's huge. So in the back pocket, for starters. I have my calculator, which I use for some of my commerce classes... well

We are GOING to use it, I should say. I haven't actually used it yet. In fact

I haven't even turned it on and I don't know how

Usually as well as my calculator. I'd have my laptop inside this back pocket. It's quite sturdy

It's got a lot of padding on the back of it and it's got a divider that separates it from the rest of

The pocket. However my laptop is in front of me right here. It's connected to my microphone, so

Unfortunately it can't be inside the bag right now. On the other side of the divider are all my schoolbooks, so

I take four classes per semester

But I don't have all of them every day. For this day which is Monday

I brought these two books. In the past, during high school

I just used plain exercise books, and I did like them, like I really enjoyed writing in them

And they pretty much suited my needs. The main drawback was that once you wrote something in there

You couldn't take it out, like, it was stuck in that order, and if you wanted to redo it

You'd have to probably type it up on your laptop or something. With these, they have the perforated edges

Which means that I can rip something out if I need to. I also have this display folder

Now green...

I reckon green is such a random colour for me to have. Usually I would go for black or purple

Because they're my favourite colours, and all my stationery is black or purple

However, I was in Officeworks the other day picking this out, and I thought hmm

I just I just decided to go for something different, and I'm kind of I kind of like it

it looks good. And the final few things I have in this pocket and the backpack - I have my

Microeconomics textbook, we haven't done anything out of it yet

It's just a textbook, you probably have textbooks. And the final thing that I have in the main pocket is my novel

I like to bring a book with me whenever I'm going out - a bit like my sketchbook

You know how whenever you're bored

Or you just have time to do something. This one is The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

I'm about halfway through it, and I am loving it so far. And the final thing we've got in my bag is

My water bottle! So underwhelming, right? Yeah, it's just a water bottle that I wash and refill

I don't know if it's a good idea to wash plastic, but I do it anyway so

*annoying and silent drinking*

And that is everything in my backpack

Thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed it

I'm assuming if you made it to here, that means you did enjoy it

So please remember to leave a like! (Do it pls pls pls) and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more content from me, but yeah

I hope you're having a wonderful day, and I'll see you in my next video

M1 Finance - What Happens When You Add, Remove, Re-balance Your Stock Portfolio - Duration: 13:40.

hello everyone and thanks for tuning into the financial investor channel my

name is Brent and today we're going to be taking a look and answering a

question I'm one of my subscribers and viewers left on my last comment on m1

finance they asked the question you know they're not sure exactly how m1 finance

free balances their portfolio do they sell their previous equities in order to

match that new percentage allocation or do they just kind of include my new

trades into the new percentages for the future so basically we're going to be

taking a look at the first portion just what exactly happens when you rebalance

your portfolio so there's a couple ways you can rebalance your portfolio if you

go to your portfolio and you click on view details you can now rebalance your

portfolio inside of m1 finance now I have my main my main priority ones are

mark why the 7 I did that on purpose because most of these I believe there

were eight of them have had pain paying out dividends for more than 10 years so

I know that they're going to be great going for the long term such as Walmart

WP Carey AT&T

Lockheed Martin Johnson & Johnson I believe practicing has also been paying

out over ten years and then some of the other strong ones that were great

competitors for continuing to pay out dividends they haven't paid out the

evidence for more than ten years such as Apple or Pfizer I believe Apple and

fighters are both at seven or eight years but I believe even during a

downturn in the market they would still be paying out dividends and increasing

their dividends whereas some of these other ones down here they may not you

know they may be paying out dividends for more than ten years I don't believe

so I think all of these are less than ten years here so I kept them at a six

percent so if you were to rebalance your portfolio if I wanted to remove say I no

longer want actually a group in my portfolio I would select it or remove it

and now I need to rebalance my portfolio because right now I can't save it I only

have 94 percent of my cash allocated what I could do is select all and

equalize now this would automatically put that money back into my account you

can see that my six percenters that I used to have down here now have 7% in

them and my my my top holdings up here towards the top Johnson & Johnson a

practice area they're now at eight now if you were to go ahead and save the

changes during the next market it would sell out of your position of Altria and

then put that money into these specific stocks so it would create a taxable

event inside your cash management account she would have to pay if you

gain if you had capital gains on that specific stock that you sold out of you

would have to pay taxes on that if it was a loss you could defer it from your

future possibly capital gains but they would not sell out of any other stocks

you could see it would only put the money into these ones in order to bump

them up to the percentage that they need to be at so that is sort of like the

first question if you were to add another stock in here so say I wanted to

add another stock that I don't currently hold say I don't I don't hold Amazon

here so I want to add Amazon boom I added in there now I have to give it a

percentage I would have to equalize it so what would happen is I equalize it it

would remove it out of these following stocks it would take a 1% out of WP

carry AT&T Apple Blackstone kimberly-clark Pfizer and Walmart so

this would create six taxable events and this was on a cash manage account and it

would actually take it out of seven stock so that would be seven stocks

created a taxable event in order to give 7% of the money that's in the total

portfolio now this portfolio it has roughly $5,500 a little bit less than

that in this portfolio it would sell out of six of these stocks in order to

allocate 7% into Apple so that would create six taxable events in order to

buy Apple and that's what would happen if you wanted to add a stock to your

portfolio your money would be allocated that way so it doesn't it it adds it in

the next trading day so if I were to hit save right now on Tuesday because Monday

is Presidents Day Tuesday morning the portfolio would automatically sell out

of the specific stock and actually it would it would it would sell out of like

a piece of these it would sell like 1% of each of these stocks and then put

that 1% that was sold out of here into Apple but I don't want to do that I mean

it's inside this Roth IRA so that would not create a taxable event but I chose

these socks for a specific reason and I will continue to invest ending stocks in

this portfolio so that is basically it I believe answering that question new

trades if you were to adjust this to 8 and 6 there's no way that you can make

it so that your future trades would go into the percentages that you allocate

as soon as you hit Save Changes on the next trading day it would sell out of

Johnson & Johnson and put that 1 percent into Praxair so that's not what you want

to do at least that's not what I believe you

want to do if you do see it figures if you do see that you have some socks here

like Lockheed Martin it's you know it's at a higher cost right now

then I initially purchased that I could reallocate that money out of that

position in order to balance my portfolio out back at say 385 and 330

but I don't want to do that you know I don't want to punish my winners they've

been holding my portfolio and keeping it afloat you can see here I am down 0.98

but you can see that throughout all my holdings here many of these are actually

below where they initially started so only three of them are positive right

now only Lockheed Martin Blackstone Group and Walmart are above where I

initially purchase them at the other ones are actually down right now I don't

want to punish my winners you know it wouldn't be bad to reallocate you could

do this by going to your portfolio and click on rebalance you could confirm it

and then this would automatically cause all your slices you're underweight

slices to it would sell you're overweight ones and then add that money

to your underweight slices and you can see here that um

bringing your pie back to its initial targets here you can see my initial

target is the the second number the seven percent and then the six percent

whereas right now many of them are actually underneath or

above like Lockheed Martin here is that a 7.7 percent on my portfolio now

Pfizer's at a7 so that was about average Walmart's at a 7.3 but I'm not going to

do that you know eventually these will either recover or they're paid dividends

and they'll get bumped back up but with time they'll all kind of regrow so I'm

not worried about that so that is basically I believe I answered the

question what happens if you rebalance your portfolio by adding another stock

you do have to remove money from where you want to you know if you add another

stock it's gonna take money from other stocks it's gonna take 1% out of either

6 or 7 stocks creating 6 taxable events if you're treated in a cash managed

account and it's gonna add that money to your new stock if you are removing the

stock it'll only create one taxable event from the stock that you're

removing and then it'll add that money into another stock or if you want to

remove one stock and add another stock you could take the money from the stock

that you're removing and add it to a stock that you're adding into your

portfolio thus only triggering one taxable event which is the stock that

you're removing and then you're buying into another one it would not touch your

other ones and you can see how you would do this let's see here let's let's go

ahead and just do it really quickly so we want to add a splash you know Alibaba

click Add now I want to add 7% of Alibaba and I

want to remove Praxair so there I would only sell out of Praxair and I would

take that money from Praxair and add it to Alibaba that would not create a

taxable event on anything else that would only sell out of Praxair then add

in Alibaba so that's another trick you guys can do if you guys are just looking

to sell one stock and add another stock in but for the most part if you

initially bought a stock I don't recommend selling it unless you've truly

you know you've you've you've lost out on you know you no longer believe in

that company but a lot of times if you're a brand new investor I would not

start off with singles target stocks depending on how you want on that I

would definitely choose to go with an ETF either in S&P 500 you know an ETF

track in the S&P 500 a dividend growth ETF you know specific ETF targeting the

specific sector that you are comfortable with so on my on my wife's cash manage

account I don't want to be buying and selling multiple stocks because those

are going to be creating cash taxable events so what I did inside of her cash

managed account is I set her up with a-rod the S&P 500 index it's tracking

ticker symbol vu it's a very low expense ratio ETF if she gets paid out dividends

I can those can be reinvested if it hits a $10 threshold if she does get

dividends we may just add $10 into the account you know just schedule another

$10 allotment into the account because then we could just add the add the

dividends into the portfolio and allow it to compound faster

I may just set up a scheduled every time she gets paid on depending on

what week of the month we could schedule a $10 deposit for the following week by

the way any dividends that were paid out by the ETF vu month-to-month because of

you they pay out dividends every single month it's a very low percent if we

click on vous we'll see here that they have a yield of one point eight nine

right now so for every hundred dollars that you have within this account we

have $100 of vous right so within one year we will make one dollar and 89

cents for a hundred dollars and there so every quarter or every month you know if

you have a hundred and eighty-nine if you have a dollar 89 and you're gonna

get paid out every month so you divide that by 12 your Gideon paid out roughly

fifteen cents every month so it's not a fast growth

but at the same time it's not bad it's 15 cents and as long as you you know

it's not about the dividend you want to allow it to compound so that's what you

want to add money and every time you can so always pay yourself a tenth of

whatever you make pay yourself first just it's just like any other bill you

want to pay yourself so that is it for this video I hope I did not make it too

long and I hope I was able to answer the question that they had asked in the

comments so what happens when you rebalance your portfolio by either

removing a stock adding the new stock or just adding a new stock and having to

remove percentages out of some other stocks or removing one stock and adding

that percent to other stocks so a little you know I'm pretty sure we covered it

all so that is it for this video I hope you guys have enjoyed it if you guys are

interested in checking out m1 finance I do have a referral link in the

description below it's also in the comment section if you guys sign up the

requirements for your cash manage account is $100 if you and that's $100

from the referral link you'll get $10 automatically deposit into your account

and then if you start your Roth IRA which i 100% believe you guys should

start first because it's a great account I haven't made a series on it but I will

you do have to start with $500 and I talked a little bit about what I would

have changed going into m1 finance if I could start it over you know and not

invest the full amount I would invest a little bit of it and then average in

throughout the following weeks X amount that way I could average in my dividends

so that is it for this video thank you guys for tuning in if you have not yet

subscribed hit the subscribe button below I really appreciate it

we're almost at 500 subscribers so that is excellent I'm going to be coming up

with a video here soon talking about a gift card giveaway for Amazon so watch

Girl Nervous To Meet Dying Great-Grandma, But What She Does Next Leaves Dad In Tears - Duration: 1:58.

Girl Nervous To Meet Dying Great-Grandma, But What She Does Next Leaves Dad In Tears

Going to hospitals and visiting sick people can make a lot of us uncomfortable.

We know the people we are visiting value the companionship, but it can be tough to think

of things to say and difficult to see our loved ones sick and hurting when we want to

remember them as vibrant and full of life.

That's why it was understandable that 5-year-old Sophie was a little nervous to meet her great-grandmother

for the first time.

Sophie's Great Nana suffers from dementia and is confined to her bed.

Sophie's family wasn't sure how she would react to meeting her Great Nana and seeing

her in such a sad state, but what the little girl did next left them all in tears.

Without any fear or reservation, Sophie nuzzled up next to her great-grandmother and softly

stroked her face as she sang "You Are My Sunshine," a special song in their family.

Sophie is now 8 years old, and she still has the same tradition of singing to her Great

Nana.

It is clear her grandmother gets great enjoyment out of hearing Sophie's sweet voice sing

the lovely words.

Even though many years separate Sophie and her Great Nana and the dementia provides an

added obstacle, it is clear these two share a sweet and special bond.

We're sure Sophie's visits have added not only joy, but likely years to her Great

Nana's life.

So many people seem to forget about their family members when they get older and more

difficult to "deal with."

These precious videos are a great reminder of the importance of family, love, and kindness.

Let's all show more love and kindness today.

We all have a little good inside us.

So share it!

3 Reasons Your YouTube Channel may Fail - What is holding small Youtubers back? - Duration: 8:15.

what's up shenanigans John here and I am back I hope you guys are having a

fantastic weekend I'm here to talk to you about three things I believe could

be holding small youtubers back before we get started I'd like to say thank you

for clicking on this video make sure to hit that thumbs up if you liked the

video and if you are new this channel you're not subscribed please consider

doing so smashing that that red subscribe button for me I'd really

appreciate it and make sure you click that bell so you get notifications when

I post videos now look guys YouTube is not easy it's not easy no one is saying

it's easy everybody who is a big youtuber had to work the rears off to

get there no one has gotten a free ride that I know of they have please clue me

in to who's gotten a free ride but everyone is put in the work on YouTube

so I think we could probably all agree YouTube is not easy whether it is a

hobby you treat it in you treat it like a hobby or whether or not it's something

you hope to replace a job or to be a job or to be supplemental income for you

you're gonna have to put in that level of effort so if it's a hobby you're

gonna have to put in hobby level effort and if this is something you want to be

successful at you want to make it your job you're gonna have to put in that

level of effort that job type of effort to be successful in this platform and

that leads me to my first first issue that I think that small youtubers have

this is me included guys from the last three years that I've been on this

channel I think we compare ourselves to each other and to bigger youtubers way

too much and I think that is really unfair to do to ourselves look to make

fair comparisons you need to compare apples to apples not apples to oranges

those big youtubers have had years and years and years

to hone their craft and become who they are if you have ever seen the beginning

videos for these big youtubers there just as cringy is the ones that we've

created everyone starts somewhere comparing yourself to somebody who is

that established there's really unfair especially if you're starting off or

looking around so I've been on this platform for three years and if you've

just started off is it fair to compare yourself to me now after almost 400

videos gotta learn to cut a lot of things you have to learn your voice you

have to learn your personality your editing style your audience how to talk

to the people on the other end of this camera it takes a while to kind of hone

that craft and get it zero and for your channel again what's gonna

work for you is not gonna work for me so it does take time to learn your voice to

learn how you're gonna communicate on this platform to kind of find who you

are and how you address people it does take quite a while to do that and the

other thing there's so many other factors to compare here it's personality

channel type content type SEO on the channel how good or bad are you with

that you know talent experience you know if somebody's been doing this for years

and years and years it's gonna be really hard to compare yourself to them if

you're just starting out or if somebody's like Casey nice that could

come into the platform who has a decade of moviemaking experience they're

bringing something to the table that we may not have so it's not fair to compare

ourselves to those folks we all start with zero subs that we all bring our

past our experiences to the table so we're all different when we're all

starting from a different starting point when we start here yeah we all have zero

subs but we're all bringing different experiences different talents different

backgrounds to this platform into our channels and we're gonna be exposing

that to folks and that's gonna be different and it'd be exposed

differently in different ways just depending on how we start the type of

cameras we use the editing style that we use just our general personalities it's

all gonna be different so it's really not fair to compare yourself to anyone

else on this platform a second area I think small youtubers fail in quite

often is not focusing on your strengths and therefore minimizing your weaknesses

why did you start your channel is it because you're good at something and

you're focusing on that maybe you're a good speaker and you don't have to worry

about editing too much because you can just throw it turn on the camera and

talk for fifteen minutes and not have to worry about editing at all or you have a

photography background and transitioning to video is not so hard for you or you

could be someone who has a weakness like you're not able to speak very well to

camera you're kind of awkward but if you're really good at editing and you

can hone that craft you can cover up that for a while until you get better at

it so you can focus on the strengths and minimize the weaknesses if you come on

to YouTube and your channel is about something you're not good at and you're

not confident and that's gonna show itself in your video so if you're

something you're good at I think that's probably what you want to

focus your channel on if you're you know good at farming you

probably want to do a channel about farming and really hone in and on that I

know that kind of contradicts my saying a lot about diversifying your channel

but I think as you grow as a youtuber and you get better at this craft you can

start expanding into the other areas doing all of those things is gonna allow

you to expand the areas that you can concentrate on once you get through

those first probably a couple hundred videos as you're learning on this

platform take it easy on yourself we're all gonna grow at different paces we're

all gonna learn at different paces so just take it easy on yourself now the

third area that I think small youtubers need to concentrate on is being self

aware one thing I've learned on this platform after the last three years is

that you have to be self-aware to make adjustments you have to be confident

enough in yourself to have those difficult conversations with yourself

you talk to yourself when you're editing and being able to understand where you

need to improve if you need to bring somebody else to kind of see the video

with you and watch yourself and kind of give you tips do that you're it's it's

hard on YouTube to get constructive feedback now you're either gonna get

people that come onto your channel and just feed you a load of BS because they

want you to sub to the channel or they're not gonna give you true feedback

just because it's difficult to give people feedback it's not easy especially

when you don't know the people to really say yeah I don't know where this video

was you just rambled for 10 minutes and you held the camera down at your waist

and I looked up your nose for seven or eight minutes it's saying that someone

you don't know is difficult so you have to be able to look at other videos and I

think when you're not when I say don't compare yourself you can look at other

videos to say to kind of get that baseline okay like maybe I need to hold

the camera up and not down at my waist up at my face and try to make those

adjustments and I'm just using that as an example there's a many things that we

do that are strange on camera I've learned a lot about myself I say I'm a

lot I leave some of them in but a lot of them I edit out between my thoughts I

just say um and I do that kind of thing and I'm doing I'm editing I can actually

see them in the audio track that's annoying see things like that you

have to be kind of confident enough in yourself and say you know what I need to

improve in that maybe I'll learn to not do that look no one's perfect this is

all a learning experience for all of us being self aware be able to watch a

video and change the things that you see that you don't think are coming across

very well or taking feedback is a lot of times there's a little nugget of truth

when you get negative feedback there's people who'll make a comment on your

video you're like well they were kind of a jerk but I can see what they're

talking about so for you and I to get better on this we're really gonna have

to be self aware and make those adjustments to mitigate any kind of

issues that could be coming across as annoying on camera success is no

accident it is hard work it is perseverance is learning studying

sacrifice and most of all a love of what you're doing or what you're learning to

do that just sums up everything we've talked about today you have to love this

you have to want to study and learn about it and make those adjustments

for the craft that you love so concentrate on not comparing yourself to

people make sure you focus on your strengths and minimize your weaknesses

and be self-aware enough that you can make these adjustments and not feel bad

about yourself and realize that we're all doing that we're all going through

the same thing you are from the smallest youtuber to the largest youtuber I think

everyone is constantly growing and they're doing that by being self-aware

about what they see alright guys that's all I have for you tonight please let me

know what you think down below if you have any tips or tricks and things that

you do to share with everyone or if you have an idea of a video I should do

please leave that down below thanks for watching make sure you hit that thumbs

What God Says About You - Auslan Ministry - Duration: 2:31.

Hi, I'm Amy.

Today we're learning, "What God Says About You."

"I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty."

"Before I formed you in your mother's womb I chose you."

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,"

nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

"God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

"But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin..."

"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become followers of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life."

What are those curlers actually shouting? | Burning Questions - Duration: 4:01.

Curling has been described as chess on ice,

but with more shouting!

Think Wall Street traders... ..but more slippery.

One of the world's oldest team sports, curling,

originated in the 16th century in Scotland,

where games were played on frozen ponds and lochs.

Scottish immigrants brought the game to Canada

in the 18th century, where curling fever

quickly swept the nation.

(BURNING QUESTIONS WINTER GAMES EDITION)

(WHY SO MUCH SHOUTING IN CURLING?)

Today, one million Canadians play regularly

with millions more watching major tournaments,

or bonspiels, on television.

To the casual observer, it may look like

it requires little skill apart from

Herculean sweeping ability.

But, in reality, curling is one the

most tactical, intricate sports around.

What is really going on between the sheets -

that's actually what they call the playing surface,

I'm not being weird - and how do you know your

back line from your biter?

Here's how the magic happens.

Teams of four all play sliding a 20kg stone from one end

of the sheet to the other.

20kg, that's like 1,000 pieces of sushi

or 6,400 teabags, if you're from the UK.

Scoring is simple - you get a point with

each stone closer to the bull's-eye or bottom

than any of the other teams' stones.

Kind of like bowls, but on ice and without old people.

By the way, did you know that almost all curling stones

come from an island off the coast of Ayrshire in Scotland

called Ailsa Craig?

The 240-acre craig is home to the blue-honed granite,

which is used in the stones.

So far, so simple, right?

Now... the strategy comes in.

There are three main types of shot -

guards, draws and takeouts.

Guards block the house, or scoring zone.

Draws are designed to get around the guards

and land in the house, often using physics-defying

curling moves.

Takeouts are hard shots that knock

the other stones out of play.

Teams have to plot how to get their stones into the house

while maintaining a line of defence

so the other team can't pull off a takeout.

And they say chess is hard!

I mean, to be fair, I find snap hard.

To guide the stones across the ice, curlers use brooms.

But these are no ordinary brooms.

They're made from fibreglass or carbon fibre

and a hollow to allow for faster sweeping.

Ow!

Sorry!

I thought he was still there.

Curling is a vocal sport because the captains

have to shout instructions to their sweepers

as they help the stone travel.

While it all might seem like white noise,

there are, in fact, some specific commands the

skippers employ.

If you've ever wondered what they're actually saying,

fear not.

Just for you, we have put together

the Burning Questions Curling Glossary.

Let's start with the basics.

"Hurry!" - this means sweep as fast as you can.

"Hurry hard!" - sweep as fast as you can

with downward pressure.

Yeah, got it?

"Clean!" - not, no, go clean your room,

but an instruction to keep the broom down on the ice

without much pressure to clear away

anything that could disrupt the momentum of the stone.

And finally...

"Die!"

If you hear the skipper shout this, do not panic.

They're not challenging the other team

to a fight to the death.

It simply means they want the sweepers

to stop sweeping a rock.

Clear?

The good news is, while it is extremely skilled,

curlers come in all shapes, sizes, and ages,

so who knows?

Maybe it's not too late for me.

Die!

Guess what I found at Marshall's!? THE AURORA GLOW KIT from Anastasia Beverly Hills - Duration: 14:25.

I'll admit it I've never gone to Marshall's before this time but I think

it's gonna become one of my favorite like makeup stores, because I found a

huge deal. I'm talking like awesome deal.

Hello everyone and welcome once again to today's dose of craziness.

I'm your host Vanessa and the lighting still sucks. Today we're gonna be

swatching a highlighting palette whose name I recognized just by its

brand name. I recognized just by reading it, from watching YouTube makeup gurus

who know far more than I do. It was a steal. I couldn't leave it. It

was pre-approved by one of my friends so we got it. So today we're gonna be

talking about the Anastasia Beverly Hill "Aurora Glow Kit." We're going to be doing

these swatches, I'm gonna tell you how much it cost, and as I said

I bought it at Marshall's. Before we go into the actual swatching, I do want

to make very, very, very clear, that I am NOT being sponsored in any way, shape or

form by Anastasia Beverly Hills Anastasia

Anastasia... how do you say your name? Anastasia

Beverly Hills or Marshall. I'm not being sponsored by either of them or

anyone involved in those companies. I did actually go into Marshall and I did

actually buy this palette by myself, with my mom's, help so here we are.

Adulting 101.Let's talk about packaging. It is it's very eye-catching, at least it

was very eye-catching to me. We have an almost holographic... yeah I would say it's

like a holographic packaging on the outside, and then it is

white and fades into purple. It says Anastasia Beverly Hills and up here it

says "Aurora"... you can't really see it... there we go

"Autora Glow Kit". On the back it says "Glow Kit", it says "metallic powder highlights

for intense luminosity. Complementing shades can be layered together to

brighten cheekbones and decollate, or worn separately over eyelids, brow bones

and inner corners of the eye." I kind of love that because I am going into a whole...

I really want to learn how to do eyes shadow and eye shadow looks. As you guys

know I am mostly an eyeliner girl, but I want to start learning that and to find

something that is highlight but can also be used for the eyes, is a double. The

products slides out like of that and again it has the same exact thing that

the outer packaging slip had Now this has a total of six...

the total of six highlighters which we are going to swatch, but first let me

talk about the pricing. Now Marshall, as you guys know is a kind of like a

discount store, but it is a well-established store so these I am

assuming our original because if not that would really suck. This officially

retails for $42 on Marshall's it goes for... drumroll please... $24. That is about...

$24.99 and that is like a 50% off and I went ahead and bought it.

So you guys can see here it says "Marshall $24.99 blah-blah-blah-blah-blah"

Let's go ahead and start the swatching, which is what you guys came for. Many of

the pallets that were there were actually destroyed from people like touching

them and dropping them and stuff. This was actually the only one that was

still alive so this is the one I got. It does have a little

protector and these are the colors. Look at those. Those are so cute! I can't wait

to try them! I'm sorry let's swatch. It says in the back, each of these has 4.2

grams or point 15 ounces... each of them so you're getting around 24 plus grams in

total, so that's kind of like $1 per gram. Let's go ahead and do the swatches. I'm

gonna swatch this with my finger and then I'll figure out how to put this on

because somehow my fan brush just disappeared.

Let's start with the first one; the first one is titled "Eclipse", which is this one

right here and it is almost like a peachy color,

not quite yellow, not quite orange, but it's very, very peachy. I can definitely

see the glitter. It's calling me. This is how it looks on the finger. This

is how it looks applied. Oh my god! It's so pretty! Look at

that! Look at that! It is so cool! It is very soft, very demure, but definitely has

that iridescent effect on it. I wouldn't really call it holographic because it's

not, but it does have an iridescent feel to it. Let's go ahead and try the second

one which in this case is gonna be this one over here. It's called "Luna" and "Luna"...

it looks very silver and whiteish. I would almost say that this one is based a

little bit on gold and this one's based a little bit on silver, but let's go

ahead and try "Luna". This is how it looks on the finger, obviously very, very

whiteish. Let's go ahead and apply it to the skin. Oh that is pretty! It almost

looks like a platinum white. Ahh! I can't, I can't, I can't with this. I'm like getting...

I'm getting like ideas to do like outer space makeup and I would definitely use

that one. The next one is called a "Spectra" which is this

blueish highlight. I'm gonna... I'm gonna be real with you guys. I am a little bit

very much intimidated by the purple and the blue. It's not that I'm not gonna try

them out, it's just that I don't, I don't know how those would work

on my face but let's go ahead and swatch "Spectrum". This is so... let me swatch

it again. It's not holographic... well oh... I'm having a hard time deciding

whether it's holographic or not because I definitely see a couple of greenish in

there and pink but I don't think it's quite full holographic. Let me go ahead

and swatch it on my hand... my arm. It's a very soft purple. It didn't really like...

look through. Let me re-swatch that. Yeah it is a very, very soft purple. It

definitely leaves a little bit of a purple sheen, but it is not as

illuminating as these two. It's... it's this is subtle... kind of like the material

some dresses that look like they're purple, but maybe they're like dragonish

color, like that effect...that's the effect I'm getting from this color. The next

color will be "Helia" and this looks like it definitely has a greenish tone to it.

Let's go ahead and swatch it. This is what it looks like

on the finger; it definitely looks slightly greenish. Let me go ahead and

swatch it right there. Definitely more illuminating than the purple one but it

still looks slightly green. Alright kind of like between a green and a gold, I

would say. The second to last is "Orion" which is this blue one right here. It is

one of the other ones that I'm really like intimidated to try. Let me go ahead

and swatch this. It almost looks like a periwinkle kind of blue, I would say. Let

me go ahead and swatch it right beside the other one.

Definitely more illuminating than the purple one.

Definitely more eye-catching, I think. this blue I would definitely be

interested in putting it on an eye shadow experiment. The last one is "Lyra" or

"lyria" Lyra, Lyra, Lyra...and it is definitely a

goldish tone. I'm living for this guy's! Definitely goldish and right over here

Im gonna try and swatch that. This is very... I think this one's more like for during

summer when you want like... a little bit of shine but your, your face is a

little bit warm or it's been sun kissed. I think this one would work out far

better than any of them. Which was my favorite? I don't know... definitely for my

cheekbones I think I would try the "Eclipse" and "Lun and probably "Helia" for

my eye shadow experimentations. I do definitely think that I would do "Orion"

and "Spectra" and "Lyra" I would probably use it during the summer months. I don't

know why. Do I know how to use highlighter? No, but you know that's what

it calls to me. I have no clue where my fan brush is. I think I might have used

it for something else. I think I'm gonna go with the "Eclipse" so let's go ahead

and I'm gonna... I'm gonna do it with my finger. I'm sorry,

everyone's cringing now but I always have like an issue with like applying

this. I'm not quite... I know where it's supposed to go but I have issues with

the actual application. Look at that! Look at that shine. Can you see that shine? I

hope you can because it is awesome. Let me go ahead and try on the other.

Highlighters are supposed to go in the high points of your face,

so I tend to put it right on top of like this area of my cheekbones, do the top up

here just to kind of call out a little bit of my forehead, and over here I kind

of do a little bit of that right there, I just bring it down on my the bridge of

my nose and upwards. Sometimes I contour my nose, most of the

time I don't unless it's like for an event or something like that. There are a

hundred and one videos on how to do contouring and highlighting, this is not

the video on how to do it. Of course that is just the amount that I would normally

put like an everyday makeup. Let me go ahead and do a little bit of an

exaggeration, very colorful, very highlighted look

because sometimes I do want to look a little bit more highlighted. Look at that

shine! I love it. Let me just put like a second coating on the swatches just so

that you guys can see how it would look in an exaggerated option.

And this is how they look a little bit more exaggerated. Again the purple

one doesn't seem to have that pop and that shine, but it is definitely

something I could work with on my eyes. They are so cool and I cannot wait to

start using them and going out with them, seeing what people think about them. I'm

so excited that I found this! I can't believe I found this in like a store for

50% off! I hope that you guys like to this video. If you guys have got this

palette at Marshall, or even if you got it just like regular price, which one is

your favorite one? I think my favorite ones are definitely the first two and

the last one. Kind of fell in love with them. I want to know what your favorite

ones are! Leave a comment down below if you have any tips on to how to apply
