click the subscribe button right there down there maybe somewhere I look like
Casper the ghost but how else is a really weird way to start my vlog but
I'm gonna be doing a week in my life and talk to you guys while I'm getting ready
not because I'm running late but because I don't want to run late this week I
just really want to work on getting back on track I used to have not like extra
time but I used to just have a couple minutes to collect myself I wouldn't
have to be rushing I just want to keep that this week and get back to that this
weblo and welcome to a week of my life I hope you're doing well my name is Ashley
if you're new here I never like introduce myself
in my vlogs or really my videos like I mean I do I don't let you know much
about me but there's really not that much for now I'm 21 that's weird to say
no I'm just going about life right now so I I'm getting ready for work this is
the first one since the time change so the Sun is going to be down by the time
I get out which is just really weird so I'm basically just doing a bunch of
housekeeping stuff I guess you could say so that way I could have a week where
I'm not catching up and I'm just on top of my game because I feel like I haven't
been that way since the summer and I don't know what made me stop being that
and myself because that's just me so I don't know what caused me to stop doing
that and then it's just been a ripple effect ever since and then I try and I
get back on top of it and then the next week it's just gone I would show you
guys this since it came in the mail but I ordered another little words project
briefly this is the one that I have this was the first one that I've ordered I've
had it for a little while now I love it so much it just says be kind that they
were actually having a special little customization is how you say that is it
a word where you could customize your own bracelet with your own a word or a
word so as many of you could guess I have my two things in life are be kind
and to the moon and to the moon and back and I love you to the moon and back so I
got one that says to them these are the clear beads if you're
wondering so cute and I'm just so happy with it I love these so much and the box
with the dust Duquette and it even came with a little sticker that says girl
power but I put that on my laptop and I just love it so much
okay I also figured that I would show you guys an outfit of the day so this is
a very Ashley outfit I'm just wearing a sweatshirt my five saw sweatshirt from
tour and then I'm wearing jeans from American Eagle and then I'm just going
to wear my converse I need to go put my clothes in the dryer it's already 1:15 I
need to put them in the dryer and then I need to make lunch unload the dishwasher
and then it will be time to leave for work
hello so don't be fooled by my appearance it's actually almost two
o'clock in the afternoon I need to get my butt moving I just started off the
morning lazy and I just continues and it's something that I really got in the
habit of and it's been really difficult to breathe the reason why I'm talking
with you guys is because my colour-pop order came in I got another brush this
is a F okay I swore the number was on this and now it's not it's seriously
swear the number was on this brush and now it's okay it was on the packaging I
knew I wasn't losing my mind brush is in f3 I put this sticker on
there so I remember and I got another no filter foundation I do really like this
foundation I've just been struggling with finding
my shade which is just a personal thing because unless I see it in person I'm
always terrible at it a reason why I made a color pop order was because they
restocked their Disney collection so I just picked up two things from it this
is the Ariel lipstick and she's actually on the package looking super cute
packaging is seriously adorable it has all of the princesses signatures on it
which is just adorable they're really natural like everyday color I really
really think that it's cute beauty guru hands coming out I also got this
eyeshadow so it has the castle on the front which is so cute and this is in so
this is love and it's just kind of like a pinky golden brown color
I don't know pinky it's like a pinky shimmer color but it kind of has like
gold like I don't know how to describe it that's what I got thought I would
update you I haven't vlogged it all today because I'm like I said trying to
get back on it it's super rainy today I have work only later tonight so I just
I'm just a little hello I just thought that I would check in with you all
because I found a new of longer today I name is Izzy snapshots here on YouTube
snapshots I feel like I'm saying that really weird is founder tunnel and I
don't know I find walkers that I really like and it just inspires me to vlog but
then I just never actually vlog and it's really bad habit that I have and I just
think that my life is way too boring to vlog in nobody would be entertained by
seeing it I folded my clothes into piles as you can see I totally have the time
to put it away but I'm just no I I put on that Ariel lipstick so that is the
color that's on my lips in the past six bones all of a sudden I have terrible
smile lines and I don't know what happened I never had them before in my
life and then all of a sudden they happened and they started creasing and
it's just terrible and for some reason like this isn't a crease but it's just
my face it just looks so ugly like a new thing that I just hate about my face so
might not to be not to spread any negativity in my vlogs but I am not
really looking forward to work
hello good morning I've been a fail of a vlogger now it is 912 on once a morning
usually I am just finishing up my makeup or throwing on my clothes really quick
and somehow I'm already dressed which is good but I need to keep it up so that
way I'm not running behind I am trying to be positive but I know that I'm just
gonna have a really crazy day at work today
okay we're thinking happy thoughts we're gonna get through it today's gonna be a
good day know how I feel about this this is new this is like a sweatshirt but
it's like an oversized sweatshirt shirt I don't know I feel like it's a little
big on me that they didn't have an extra small so I had to roll with it so I just
wore these with jeans because since I've never worn this I felt like it might
look a little weird with leggings and since I don't have anyone in person for
a second opinion I just threw on jeans these are from American Eagle have on my
little wiener dog socks I also called these my five saw socks these are the
socks that I'm at 5,000 oh my god okay so I'm just crazy you put my uggs on
with this because that would just be so comfy cozy and just fit the vibe but I
will actually have a heat stroke in my job if I wear my own contacts that I
have in my eyes I am wearing for the third day and I have dailies contacts
which means you're supposed to wear them for one day now I have worn my my
contacts two days in a row usually that is fine three days is a little pushing
it I paid for expedited shipping and it doesn't feel any expedited I need to
stop talking now because I need to go make breakfast and get my stuff together
and stay on time so have a good day or I hope you're having you the day when
you see this anyway okay why did I say bye hi guys so I survived work and
everything and it was actually a pretty good day it went quickly and smoothly
and everything right now I'm gonna make some coffee unload the dishwasher and
then I'm gonna clean my room a little bit like the clothes and random stuff
laying around I want to pop post more stuff on Poshmark
and yeah my contacts were supposed to come in today and they're still not here
and section of my team
you know let us walk in
arts on a jelly on a single story with disaster
ready to relax in this magical stop is you one design so let's spend outside
I love you love me this power to see watch it grow into the true
what some people say that you're in Spain
let's all be crawling I was just doing my makeup opening the eye shadow draw
and then I went to close it and it closed and I don't understand what
happened don't know what happened and I'm really confused right now I don't
know what to do because this is really inconvenient I fixed it
Bob the Builder can he fix it yes he can hi guys so I just finished filming a
video which was kind of weird because I haven't filmed a video in a quite a
little bit I just I don't know how to explain it I don't want to say that I've
been in a funk like it hasn't been that big of an issue and I think that's kind
of why I don't realize that something was going on I guess or that something
was all I really want to upload three days a week is optimal for me right now
that's like the dream goal but at least twice a week you know minimum of course
just once a week if that's all that I can do I just haven't been able to
upload I've been wanting to and I've been wanting to film and I just like
can't think of anything to do where I just don't want to do it that day do you
know what I'm saying like I have the motivation for it and and the drive too
but then that day I'm like oh no I don't feel like it today I'll do it tomorrow
and now it's been like a week since I've uploaded a video exciting news today is
one week till Disney on Ice and I also need to change our Disney countdown
because I'm not sure how many days are till Disney maybe 44 or 43 I'm not
really sure I have to change that as well but before we go see Disney on Ice
I need to watch Coco so maybe I'll like to watch that tonight or tomorrow
because believe it or not I've never seen Coco
hello guys and happy Friday so right now it's like 12:30
I actually was already showered with my hair done by 10:30 which is very weird
usually I'm not done and I sat down and I was just going about my routine and I
sat down to see my makeup and I was like am I really about to do my makeup at
10:30 in the morning when I don't really need to so much good music it came out
today and I'm really excited about that because I don't know I just feel like
the past couple of weeks I have just listened to all the new music on Spotify
every Friday and I just find like one or two songs but today I was adding so much
in my place and I just makes me really excited I don't know I just like music
I'm a dork okay this is a bad outfit to show you I just realized because you
can't even buy the shirt this shirt it says love never fails and then the love
is in sign language and on the back it says Uganda 2018 and then it says first
corinthians 1624 I believe that's the verse that's on there this was for my um
I guess my friend yeah I know her through the Jacob fandom Courtney if you
don't know sign language is like a big thing to me so she went on a mission
trip to Uganda I bought this to support her and that whole thing my sweatshirt
you've definitely seen before this is from Victoria Secret like I will
probably start sweating at some point today just from this sweatshirt because
it's warm on the inside like my they literally blast the heat out of my work
and then they all have personal heaters and they're all freezing and I just
don't understand and then I stuff on American Eagle jeans I've literally wear
these jeans every single day to work so far since Monday Monday Tuesday
Wednesday and now Friday I washed them I promise it's just I can't wear ripped
jeans and I don't like my other pair of jeans with the shirt so I have to wear
the it is starting to rain they said that it wasn't an or April later hi guys
so it's actually Tuesday now and I'm sorry that
I kind of felt at this a little bit towards the end honestly there were
times that I could have logged I feel like this lighting is so harsh okay
that's a little better sorry my lips look like so washed out
they probably have a little bit of foundation on them we are just a hot
mess Express there were just some questions that I wanted to tell you guys
I wanted to ask you guys if one I should do vlogmas but I feel like the answer is
going to be yes so what type of videos do you want to see for vlogmas if that
makes sense like I'm obviously going to vlog but I think that it would be cool
if I made a couple of them or a bunch of them kind of them to like have a reason
or a thing in each vlog if you know to me but yeah thank you guys so much for
watching this video I'm sorry if it's kind of boring and not that exciting I
know that I didn't get as many like cooler clips that I usually like getting
but I promise it is a work in progress I am trying to get back onto my game I
have fallen off my game in every single sense of like everything I used to be so
organized I used to get up in the morning and just get things done and
just start going and I've just fallen off the wagon in all sense of it so so
we're gonna broadcast hopefully you guys understand but yeah thank you guys so
much for watching and I will see you in my next one

DIY FALL DECOR IDEAS 2018 / STYLE A SILHOUETTE - Duration: 9:36.
hi everyone and welcome back to my channel so if you are what you meet for
the first time I make videos on fashion beauty and lifestyle every business day
so if you are new to my channel then thumbs go subscribe also press the bell
notification down below an extra subscribe button so that you will be
notified every time I upload a new video also guys I just want to let you guys
know that I'm short least on starting my fall series mean this is going to be my
first video from the fall series and the next videos are going to be fall related
the fashion in the Styles the there why is there anything all the videos will be
related to fall so make sure you subscribe to my channel so that you
don't miss out any new videos of mine also in this video I'm going to share
with you four DIY ideas which are under a budget of rupees 100 yes it is under a
budget of rupees hundred mostly it is from the waist so yes without any
further ado let's get started for the first DIY I took a cardboard of 15 to 35
centimeter now obviously you can have it of any size
whatever you are comfortable also I found these leaves from my backyard now
I wanted the fall leaves but obviously it is not possible over here for the
maple leaf I took the image from Google and grew it but you can also take a
printout of it as a stencil so the maple leaf it are we are going to use it as a
stencil and we are going to spray-paint it now for those who don't know what
spray paint is we take color we dissolve it in water and then we use a tooth
brush dip the tooth brush in the water and use our index finger first bring it
all over the place
that is what exactly I am doing all over here I'm using the toothbrush using my
index finger and just moving my fingers tools use out the color from the
toothbrush and it gets evenly spread on the paper so that just will appear like
small dots and it will create a shaded kind of image
so here once I finish spraying it on the paper what I'm going to do is I'm going
to remove the Mapple leaf so that you get an image of a map a leaf without the
spray paint part and voila our spray painted purple leaf is ready isn't that
look so beautiful I also wanted to create a some part of shaded effect in
the map a leaf so I went on spray painting it in one corner of the leaf
and ended up over there and then in the end you can remove all the leaves and
the whole picture looks like something like this now for the second DIY we are
going to use same cardboard same size of cardboard and also we are going to use
some rose petals I had old rose so I used rose petals of those leaves and the
leaf which we used it in the previous er DIY I used the same one now what I am
going to do is I'm going to spread the rose leaves as well as the rose petals
as well as the leaves evenly throughout the chart chart or throughout the
cardboard evenly spaced with one another I'm jealous
I'm just assembling the everything like this so that it appears evenly and now
what we are going to do is we are going to glue all the the leaves as well as
the rose petals on the chart and that's it isn't that so simple you can also use
some 3d alphabets and write proverbs on the top of that and that will look very
beautiful
now for the third DIY I'm going to use this old frame from Ikea I was in a
total mode of giving it a makeover so I decided to paint it now you can do this
with any kind of frame just uh you should keep only one thing in your mind
that you should go for contrasting colors on any kind of frame you have now
you can also use spray paints for coloring this and that is equally going
to look more beautiful so I just went on color I selected the red color and
painted the frame red and girly guys I didn't imagine but it turned out to be
so beautiful you can literally see that
now coming to the for DIY it's for the mason jars or particularly any kind of
jars if you have I had these glaze and ribbons of different colors so I used
this for decorating these mason jars and so what basically I did was I glued the
ribbons and the laces and I stuck it on the mason jar to make it more attractive
the Christmas time as well as the winter time is coming so you can also use these
mason jars for putting candles or candies or you can just put whatever you
want whatever is your liking and decorate in your homes and that is going
to look more beautiful
you
so here I am sticking little the lace on the mason jar slowly and after that I'm
going to pick a make a bow of the red ribbon and place it on the top to make
it more look representable as well as look beautiful
and that's it avatar DIY is ready
for the four DIY I basically use the pictures from a waste calendar and we
are also going to use some leis sellotape and a rod for hanging i
basically arranged the pictures how I wanted it to be and then I cut lace to
attach to both the ends of the Buddha ends of the photos now Here I am
attaching the lace with the help of salute salute it but it's not necessary
that you need to use a lace itself but you can also use a thread or a rule or
whatever is available just to make it more attractive I use the lace and that
completely depends on you catching all the laces it looks something like this
and I'm going to repeat the same with the other two strands and then we are
going to hang it on the rod now here I have finished attaching laces on all the
pictures and now I'm making hooks for the rods to get inserted to it so I'm
going to make books on all the three segments or columns whatever you call it
as and in that hook we are going to insert the rod seeing this DIY you must
be thinking that it is literally time-consuming and who is going to take
so much of time to do this simple DIY but trust me guys it took me not more
than 10 to 15 minutes I can say I literally needed 24 to attend to 15
minutes and I was done with this DIY this device is that simple till here the
DIY is done and it looks really very beautiful but then I had this special
paper so I thought of attaching it on the rows of all the three rows to make
it look more beautiful but this is completely optional you can go till the
previous one and it looks less something like this so that's it guys I hope you
like this video and if you happen to recreate any of these video do tag me on
instagram with the hashtag DIY with follow me and yes definitely i will be
taking their the in my next video so to let me know in
the comments down below which was your favorite DIY and yes like share comment
and just subscribe to my channel I'll meet you guys soon bye
you

Day in life of Danny - Duration: 6:00.
I guess I wanna get more freedom but like as in like
what I do but then I am constrained to what I am learning right now I guess.
So like I have bigger things I wanna do, but I can't right now
Because of studying that needs to be done and school , school, school is the biggest thing
Why do you think school is important?
I mean I guess like honestly like the first part is like you need a good mark to get a good job sort of
But then the second part is like I am still doing what I want so yea its
sort of paradoxical . How can you become happier ?
I need to manage time better so I can do what I really wanted to do in my spare time
And learn about my self so time management.

My Great Outdoor Life - Hunting (Bailey Baker) - Duration: 5:17.
- My name is Bailey and this is my great outdoor life.
Think my favorite thing to do outdoors is to hunt.
It's so rewarding being able to run down there,
dress it out in the field,
take it in to get processed.
It's a great feeling and it shows
that your hard work can pay off.
The practical aspect of being able to kill your own meat
and clean it is important.
It's completely free of all the preservatives
that are put in food nowadays and you know
exactly where it came from.
I got involved in outdoors at a pretty young age,
my dad and I would go on little camping trips.
We'd learn wilderness skills,
how to camp,
how to cook on a camping stove,
know how to fish and then as I grew up
our trips got more and more high adventure.
My family didn't grow up hunting,
we did a lot of fishing.
But when I came here I learnt from Ryan.
- We both come from a different back ground of how we
were introduced to the outdoors,
cause I may know more about one thing
where she knows more about something else.
It's nice to have that shared appreciation
but different knowledge about it.
We got her a hunting rifle and
she had to become proficient at shooting 270.
- [Bailey] My love the for outdoors you know it's so deep
and it's so widespread that it's really hard to explain.
I love the great outdoors for all
the opportunities it provides,
to learn,
meet new people,
to provide for yourself,
to gain life skills,
confidence,
independence.
So many things that the outdoors can give to a person
is why I love being out here.
- There's a bunch of different communities,
sportsmen,
natural activists and hikers and fishermen
and so on and so forth.
They have their own recreational sport but ultimately
it's about preserving and helping the eco system,
in which they enjoy being in.
- A lot of the farmers around here make their living
off of planting crops and when the pigs come in
they root up all the crops.
They'll dig in the ground looking for something to eat.
Whenever that happens the farmers will lose a
lot of their crops.
So one of the things we do to make sure that we are
proficient in our hunting is we use game cams.
They call it hunting,
not killing for a reason.
We'll target what we wanna get.
if there's some hogs that are really tearing up the ground
we'll be able to see those on the game camera.
So when we go out the next night to hunt we'll exactly
what we're looking for.
So when we go hog hunting we have one main goal and that's
just to decrease the population of hogs
so that the farmers can still their have their
lively hood from those crops.
They're very relentless and destructive.
Hog hunting is very exciting,
it's so different from Deer hunting,
it's so fast paced.
Stalking the hogs through the night and how we can get up
to those hogs and take them all down.
Best memory I've had out here sofar.
Once we get there its fast, its furious.
So we just came out on the property and we already see a
big group about 25 pigs.
They're all migrating towards the feeder.
So what we're gonna try to do,
we're gonna try to stalk them out,
get as close as we can and then
see how many we can take down.
- We're at 100 yards,
make sure we step real easy.
Wonder where you shooting at?
- Oh I got a look, closer in.
- Ready?
- Yeah
- Three, two , one
- One more.
- Good shooting.
There two groups of pigs,
one over here in this wood line,
and there's a big group that's out the middle of the open.
So we split up the shooters,
on whose gonna shoot what group
and then we just put a lot of lead down range real quick.
I think we got about six or eight of them down.
- [Bailey] Yeah we'll walk down there and
see how many we got and take any last shots if we need to.
- [Ryan] Its always an adrenalin rush, its awesome.
- [Bailey] Its fun.
- [Ryan] I love it.
- When people find out what I do
usually they're pretty surprised.
I'm a first year medical student in Texas.
I get a lot of oh I didn't think you'd be the
kind of person to kill and clean and cook your own deer.
But you know if you can kill and clean and
cook your own deer you can do anything.
On the weekend when I can take off my white coat,
put on my muck boots go out to the land
and work it with my hands,
whether that be on the lake or in the fields or in the barn.
And they both kinda work together to make me
a stronger person,
makes me a stronger hunter,
stronger outdoorsman and
in the same way its me a stronger
doctor hopefully in the future,
a practicing clinician.
Having these two very contrasting activities really
heightens my love for each of them.
I do plan on having kids one day,
I hope that they can grow up in nature like I was able too.
All the things that the outdoors has to offer I hope that
I can share that with others.

how to literally find your life purpose in a reasonable amount of time.
So if you haven't watched the first part of this series I recommend you do so, because
you're going to get a lot of important information that you will need for this very video.
So you probably remember that the model that I wanna talk about is
the amazing model of Ikigai which is this ancient Japanese concept for
anything between life purpose and the thing that gets you out of bed in the morning.
Your driver, your guiding star, literally that one thing that
everything in your life is about. There ARE a couple of disclaimers and you
will find them in the last video, the most important being: This is a big
concept, but let's chillax everyone. Because -you know- you don't have to find your entire life purpose
in 20 minutes.
But it's possible to have some sort of working hypothesis. So relax, if the insights
you're going to be getting the next five minutes aren't like "boom, boom, boom, boom, boom"
(if they are, congratulations), and
if they're not it doesn't mean that you're lost.
So here we go: From the last video you will remember that there are these four
things, the four purpose areas as I like to call them. And these are the
things that you love doing, the things that you're really really good at, the
stuff that world needs, and the stuff that you can be paid for. And there are
a couple of really, really interesting things and insights that can pop up,
if you look at the overlap of these exciting areas. These overlaps are the
things we're going to focus on today.
So the first overlap is passion and passion is where talent meets love.
It's where stuff that you're really good at meets the stuff that you love doing.
And I think what is so important to note here it is is that it's not actually
stuff you have to be paid for nor does it have to be particularly useful. Right?
So you know my ... one of my passions is... I love googling late at night
amazing and exciting venues where we can host our seminars in. You know, maybe even a
little bit useful but frankly -I mean- I spend so much time doing that but you
might argue whether that is really a very productive thing. And other things
-I don't know- I love old furniture, I'm really good at you know like distinguishing
different styles and -you know- actually styling other people's apartments. And I have this
massive pinterest wall of different antiques.
I don't know- I just have this massive passion for this. And... as said I just
want to highlight: Your passion does not have to be your job. That's one of
the little tiny insights that I love about this model, you know. It doesn't have to
be your job because per sé you don't have to be paid for it nor does it have to be
particularly useful.
If the passion is the overlap between your talents and the
things that you love doing, actually it kind of excludes by definition all the
stuff that you're mediocre at or really bad at. And why is that so interesting?
I'm just going to jump back to this whole "I-want-to-be-more-passionate-with-
my-career"-kind of questions just because we get those a lot. If you are asking
yourself "How passionate a I... like... is my job really my passion?" Think about the
degree to which things you're really good and ... the things you love
things that you love are represented in your daily life on your job. And think
about to which extent are there things that you are medicore at or bad at.
Or that I feel "less than l.o.v.e." for.
Two points here: 1) The things I just said are really good to
evaluate, but also -as said before- 2) your passion does not have to be your job.
So if it is -I mean- LUCKY YOU. And if it isn't -you know- have mercy.
Because I know for instance in my own story I am massively passionate about
what I do. But this had to grow over -I don't know- five or six years.
And I started the job I do today as hobby, as a hustling project. And what I'm seeing
is and it's far more important to really -you know- understand what your passion is
than to make it part of your career directly. Because one thing I can share
with you are with you for sure and that is: If you turn your passion into a job
but you don't have the the skillset and it's just not sufficiently
useful for other people, the amount of money/payment you might be
generated for this just might not meet your standards. And if the job you are
picking that is based on your passion does not provide for a life that you
love, you're going to start sabotaging your own job, your one passionate thing.
And that the last place where you want to be, because you will just start hating
that thing that's in this magic overlap between talent love. And that is such
a bad place to be. So yes, you can evaluate your job according to you how
passionate you really feel about it. And if it turns out that you are actually
not so passionate, have mercy. Have mercy and rather create space and time
for side projects, for hustling projects for great hobbies that will give you
that passion. And then later on you can still think about how to turn that
into a business or how do I include that more in my career. So that was a long
speech, but I just think included it because this is such a central point in the
questions that we are getting. So I hope it's gonna be valuable for you guys.
So the second amazing overlap is between what love and usefulness.
So between the things that you love doing stuff that the world needs. And we call it your "mission".
We call that your mission, because it's something that you just enjoy and it's
needed. And that's why you do it -you know- it doesn't have to bring you money,
you don't even have to be very good at it. So a very common example is people
being a parent. Probably -you know- everybody makes crazy mistakes as
parents. We've all been wounded by our parent by our parents. And we as parents
will wound our children. It's probably the hardest in the world.
Nevertheless -you know- it's ... once you have your child, it's just your mission and
you do it no matter what. For other people and I just remember a super,
super cool coaching client that we had. She is someone who had this mission to
build this mentoring program for young people that are neither in education,
employment or training or in any sort of structure provided by the government. And
you know: Was she the very best person to build this organization? We don't know.
But she loved mentoring, and she loved the idea of a very big
organization. And that's what she's doing. Is she being be paid for it? Well... not yet.
But that's what I'm saying, right? And for me personally for instance, I guess you know
my biggest mission is to support the the International heads of all these
international NGOs that we've been working with. If you know my
own story you will know that I have been helped so much by these organisations.
And they have this massively big place in my heart. You know, in the past we gave
we gave a way up to like 40 percent of our revenues as scholarships for people
from the nonprofit sector. So hey, are we the best people to ever help them?
Idon't even know. Are we making money from this? Definitely not!
Is it needed? Yes! And do we love doing it? Yes! So...
There's one really great thing about this whole mission... little ... overlap... kind of.
And that is: It is actually impossible to fail in your mission. And what do I mean by that?
Someone might take away your stage. You know, The Arc might fail as an
organization or the mentoring organization of our client, of my friend to
be fully honest might also fail. Right? You might actually fail as a parent to a
pretty high degree. But doesn't mean that you cannot choose to pursue that
path? No, it doesn't. You will still be that person to who being a parent is
massively, to who mentoring these kids is
massively important. And I will probably never stop -you know- doing everything I
can to support these international NGO. So that is maybe the one cool thing to
give us peace of mind: If you know what your mission is, it is impossible to
fail it. Because no matter how dire the context is that you are in
you always are probably going to have a choice to go on this direction, or
this other action... And knowing where your mission is will point you towards the right one.
So here we go the next overlap and that the one between talent and profit, i.e. the things that you
are really really good at and the stuff that you can be paid for. Now... if you're
here to get rich quickly, this is probably the box that you want to have a
lot of really smart things in, because yeah I mean obviously being very good at
something that you can be paid for for really well yeah might just end up being
massively beneficial for your bank account.
The challenge for most people though is that at least by definition your
profession does not have to be something that you love. And it might also be
something that is not particularly useful to the world. Having said that
though remember how we said earlier that, if -for instance- the passion project that
you're having or that passion business that you're thinking of building does
not provide you the lifestyle that you want - if that's the case then you would
actually start sabotaging that very own beautiful project of yours? In order to
actually prevent that the whole "profession" box is really the box to optimize.
So more practically, what am I talking about? If you are
knowing already that you have the side hobby, the side hustling project that
you really would love to develop, but you are worried that it will not pay you enough,
relax about it. Just be fine with the fact to have it a little bit
separate. You know, you don't have to move towards the center of this Ikigai
right away or in one year. You have your entire life to do it and a lot of
you a little never. So relax about it. And just think about the ways how you
can -you know- have a profession and how you can sort of balance this
with everything that you put under the passion overlap "shlash" corner, right?
So, I mean even -you know- at The Arc there's so many people who are pulling off their
own massively amazing project which fulfills them which is absolutely
fantastic for them. But at the same time they're working as freelancers to finance
their living. And -you know- sometimes this is looked down upon a little bit in a
sense that... yeah... but you have to you know quit your job and throw yourself in there
fully. But I think that's a little bit of an unfair judgment because
for me, I personally think it's pretty daring to actually pursue
something of which you don't know yet how you are going to make money with it.
So if you are really very self-critical around
"oh-my-passion-just-isn't-worth-being-funded-or-being-paid-for" You know, relax!
Oftentimes something will pop up over time and... maybe there's just no
market for this. And that's fine. We also use the "profession box" or overlap or
whatever you want to call it, as a counterweight. If you have for instance a passion that
you feel, you struggle to make money with.
So the last magic overlap is "vocation"
where usefulness meets profitability or profit. So where
what world needs meets what you can be paid for. For a lot of people it's
really hard to get the heads around between the difference of "vocation" and
"profession". How are these things even different? [pause] Weird! And I think
I can explain it best using a small example from my own personal life.
Because I guess for most people it's easy to identify their profession,
the stuff that they're good at and that they can be paid for. Vocation is a
little bit harder sometimes and maybe you don't even think of anything in
particular right now or maybe what you were thinking of is pretty hypothetical.
But here is the personal example: So I have been working with someone who is
actually a former teacher and who has this crazy social enterprise. And he has
all these ideas around how to lower school absentism. So basically how to
lower the number of students and pupils that are missing from school, because
they're like... for a lot of reasons. So what he came up with it was actually a
software that would monitor these absentisms where people ore actually in
that case the teachers would have to log. Now is he really loving IT?
He's a teacher I can tell you he's not completely against it, but it's definitely
not the biggest love of his life. And is he massively good at programming
IT systems? Well for sure not. And he basically had to hire a programmer. But is it something that
the world needs? And something he can be paid for? Definitely yes! So that
particular business for instance is a good case of showing what a "vocation" means.
I hope this made it clear for you. So let's start off and get down a couple of
things for that.
So that's it already. That's sort of the end of the second
episode of the series. And I am going to challenge you to just go back to your first
Ikigai, those magic 15 words or mantra that you have come up with after
the first video. And just look at it again and see: Does it still make sense?
What's the overlap between all the things that now you've come up with
and things that you've already come up with out the first video? Just iterate
and see what happens. Maybe -you know- you are a little scared or would be
like "Wow, how will I ever get this done?" or like "thanks for that" [frustrated], maybe you are even
a bit disappointed. The one thing I can tell you it: There's an actual risk of
you just putting that piece of paper aside and not doing anything.
The risk is real. We know this because, hey, it's very easy to
not follow through upon the stuff you really should be following through. But
-you know- they're surely out there are a lot of people who don't want to part
with us, but if you're one of those people who DO want support with us, dare to
contact us for a coffee chat. It's a 45 to 60 minutes free coaching where we will
find out if The Arc is really for you, whether or not we can support you. And
yeah what the next steps could be. So if that is something that excites you

Steps for a Teach-Healthy Lifestyle - Duration: 1:53.
> One of the things that you tell your patients is get a Fitbit, track those
steps, there's no excuse, and you actually have
something that is riveting to me and I want you to show the viewers what it's...
Tell us all about that. > Okay -- so we got 90 seconds so sell it to
me -- No problem. I'm not here to sell anything but they're just the healthy
lifestyle but to that point mobile health technology has made a huge impact
on allowing people to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to track keep track of
their medical dashboard. So these days I prescribe more mobile health
applications than I do medications around lifestyle. So I'm one of these
real nuts I actually have a Fitbit to keep track of steps and for many of my
patients who have palpitations and arrhythmias on an Apple watch we have
the capacity -- to monitor EKG -- monitor in EKG so this is a simple Apple watch -- Let's
show that over here -- that gives us the capacity to with a special band that has
an an electrode in it to when you think your heart's racing where you're feeling
something abnormal in your heart can actually record an EKG over 30 seconds
and then it will interpret that EKG a and allow you to get an immediate
interpretation, send it to your physician that's and if you're having an abnormal
heart rhythm, or your heart is doing something funky, it will allow you to
know whether there's anything abnormal or to reassure you and then it'll give
you an interpretation, fortunately in my case it says normal but if it were
abnormal it would allow you to send that to your doctor.

TABI PODCAST EP 2: Expired Lifestyle - Duration: 32:21.
What is up everybody welcome to the tabie podcast this is where we get to share the inspiring stories of hard-working individuals
We hope that you all can relate if you're motivated from these trips. Our model is advance the path
And we are excited to share the stories of our very first guests in our show
We have the team of inspired lifestyle with us today
Inspired as a new streetwear brand that we mix. We need together new collaborations
engage
Their presence and interpretation of the word expired resonates with all kinds of people from various backgrounds
Let us see what we can learn from them
Yeah
All right, so today we got expired game um
Why don't you guys just start off by telling you a little bit about yourselves? So, my name is Garrett
I'm 22 came from the 66 area Arcadia, you know, so
I'm and I'm from Garden Grove
Just drop out at UCI this summer
So your brand is called expired lifestyle, right? Yeah, so tell us a little bit about that
So expire like so it originally started from an idea
So it was during our college days, you know when we're still playing for nine like fresh freshman year
back to yeah, I would say senior senior junior in a way in a way because uh
We have another one of our partners named Chris new year and I call him modak as a nickname
Yeah, so, you know, he came up with the idea of talking to us about what?
starting a streetwear brand with me and I was kind of interested at the time because you know
It's like why not? I wanted to hear what he had to say. So I was like, what would you even call it?
and then he called it expired and I'm like why expired it's because
No one would ever expect the word expired because expire normally means like moldy food
Out-of-date series like I want to be something that's a complete
Opposite like like almost like an oxymoron in terms of expectations for this brand. So I was like, okay, that's cool
And it kind of originated also because like our Instagram we used to each like me
It was like a joke where we would call herself
Expired foods, I'm inspired. I'm expired potsticker honors expired you can sue and my chris
Rice, yeah, and it was kind of like a trend, you know
We had all the papers and like expired bun me expired bowl o'clock expired
Bun say oh and then it was kind of like a thing in like our college days Wow
And then you told me before that you wanted to go for the timeless feeling right with their with their brand
That's why you wanted to call it expire. Mm-hmm
and in the way, like, you know it first started this idea and then you know
We kind of like discovered more of the company as it kind of just everything started clicking and it makes sense
Almost coincidentally. Yeah, like as as time goes more ideas are born and then it just all relate to
Expired because like with the name you can do a lot with the name like our marketing
we you know ship the clothes and food packages because when you talk about expired
It's food related
and then it's also like you know, when you talk about fashion, most people say
Oh, you look fresh. And then like the funny thing is the opposite of fresh is expired
Yeah, so I don't know. It's it's really fun than the name. Mm-hmm. So just to give it a little bit background
I've actually known on and Garrett for a couple years now thankfully like four or five years. Yeah, so we went to the same college
We started our brand Brian around the same time. They started their brand. Okay. Yeah, so
What kind of on this journey together in a way Oh
Same boat. Yeah, me and Garrett
We always talk a lot when we would you know
Hang out together about like our brands and kind of share ideas and like our experience and stuff like that. Yeah. Yeah
I'm actually a really tight with max, you know
Like it was like me max jet and then Raymond like we would all hang on the same house, you know
Kick it all good times and later as we grew older. We kind of started sharing the ideas
I we wanted to do for our future endeavors. Yeah, okay, so
If I'm not correct me if I'm wrong, but both of you guys too drop out of college, right? Yes
Yeah
Here's my question, what was it kind of like
When did you realize that you wanted to go? You know, you know what like fuck this all chips all in
Yeah, I'll just decided to go. Well, what made you all decide to do that?
For me, I like I never liked school to begin with you know, like I only went to class to take the tests. I
just love the social aspect that school has to offer so much more than school itself and
Toward the end of my college career. Like I started pursuing what I like to do what I've always wanted to do
Which is video editing
So I started putting myself out there on social media and doing all that stuff
and then so Garrett and Chris launched a brand and
They noticed what I was doing and they liked it so they asked me to become part of the team
so when I
Accepted the opportunity. I was like this is it like I don't need school anymore. I want to go all in with
This opportunity and apply everything that I know to
You know bring this ground up from the ground and then that's what I've been doing since yeah
Wow, what about you Garrett so I think for me is, you know, I never really liked school in general as well
I threw out all my years like I've had a few major setbacks, you know
I went through a few like complications with my life, you know, but you know
I was as I was going through with it during my fourth year. I kind of just started realizing like
for my
My career path. I didn't really need school, but I was only going through maybe just because you know
I wanted to make my parents happy, you know, they wanted me to do it
I actually wanted to drop out earlier, but I just I just held it off because I wanted to make them happy
Mm-hmm, and then later on I kind of just realized that
Like don't get me wrong. I don't regret going to school because I think without going to college
it gave me the one thing that I needed which was the connections it gave me the knowledge and
intellectual in terms of
the streets and the career path that I want to be able to meet with so many people because without college I've never met on
You guys yeah, and that was like the one crucial factor with me
That's kind of the I think that is the number of reason why I stayed in college
That was just kept telling me to go and then when I saw that I had the opportunity
to
be early on the chance because I already got everything I needed and got enough exposure that I decided to just
Take the dye in do it. Mm-hmm. Yeah, it's crazy because I know Brian and I
struggle when I'm we're in college we struggle with staying in college -
Yeah, I think it's kind of funny because even when I graduated my major has nothing to do with what I matched exactly
Yeah, that's what that's one of the things that I hear a lot - one of the reasons why because a lot of people that
graduated
there's like oh what I'm doing right now has nothing to do with my major and they're like
Oh and interviews, they don't even ask about your school and stuff. So that's just one of the reason
You know. Mm-hmm
Yeah
I think in today's world like I feel like having street smarts having
Actual experience is more important than just academics because you know getting an A in bio isn't gonna help you succeed in the world
Yeah, especially like I feel like a lot of these
Companies just wants you to perform. It doesn't really matter what school you come from. It's just you got to produce these numbers
So if you're able to do it you're able to do it, but I mean besides that I mean, I really respect that
Yes a who's really dropped out of college? There's no need to go all in
No, you know you guys have my support hundred percent and it's like real respect, you know. Thank you
I would never be able to do that
Personally by like hey, but you completed that that's not hella props - yeah, yeah
I definitely think there's like pros and cons to both of it, but I think like for
You guys who's just like following your own path?
I think that's like the most important part and I think it's crazy cuz expired has been gaining a lot of traction. Yeah, absolutely
If you guys check out their IG right here
But but they produce some awesome content, you know, it's very unique
Especially I love how you guys how did you guys create that idea of your platform?
I guess I can IG how they're all kind of
cool that that's one of the cool thing too is I feel like everything is just coming together because the even how we
Do the layout for Instagram?
Because our vision for the brand is to bring people together and to inspire people to just do what they love, you know
Yeah building community and we the the the the Instagram everything is connected with each other
So it's kind of like our way of showing that like we want everybody to be connected
We want to bring everyone together. And then without one picture. The other ones is nothing else. Yeah. Yeah
I also want to mention like if you check out our Instagram, these are all
photography's that we have it's it's to like represent all of our adventures our experiences the
The lifestyle the different people we meet and what we do is like we make it into a form of art
Yeah, as a way of showing people what we've been through as in a type of experience. Yeah
So it's like it's more than just the clothes. It's about the people the lifestyles the experience
Yeah, because you guys mentioned like you one of your like the backbone of your company is building a community, right? Yeah
Yeah, because you guys like kind of speaking more today. Yeah, so some of the principles not just a community
We kind of our corporates will cook is creativity collaboration communities. Like what I call like a Triple C
Triple C. Yeah
Sure for sure
Yeah, because community is because like, you know a lot of brands out there they like to betray I was like
Oh, like we're high. We're unique because I can clean top quality
You know, everyone says that but you know, I don't see many brands that try to be more interactive for their community, you know
Because in the end the people that support you are all people and you know, we want to see them as equals
So like we all love to give that open opportunity to like let them feel what we feel
Because that's why we created the word expire game because anyone that supports us and with us
We want them to be a part our movement and yeah and express through our social media and through the videos, you know
and as we get more and more people involved it like it's like kind of like bringing the
team and group alike bigger and bigger, you know, just like a big entire felt like yeah, we can't inspire like um, I
Like from my college experience being in an organization of fraternity. Don't stay in one with math and good
Hey, you know that girl in the same fraternity. Yeah
so I learned I learned about how like
the the kind of impact a group of people can make on an individual and you know
like so the XY gang is our goal is to inspire people to follow their passion and then as big as as
as the group grows bigger, you're you you can you know, push your
Movement better. Yeah, yeah, definitely keep evolving
I think I think the best part is about like the journey it's like you're obviously
Going to see the process and you are going to see
You know like you guys were nothing compared to no more doubt then like a year ago. Ya know. It's all trial and error
I mean that's kinda why we wanted to do this podcast you you know, we see our progress
We see everyone else's progress and we kind of want to make those progress like in a way public
Want to let people know and that's our way of inspiring people, you know document the growth. Yeah. Yeah
So what would you say would be?
kind of like I
Guess like an obstacle with yeah parents when you guys were telling that that you know
You know what? I'm gonna go all into my business like, you know, it must have been a lot of family drama
I thought I feel
I feel like cuz were Asians. Yeah
Especially if you're Asian, yeah
So with me, my family background is like I actually have a family business where we do imports
so I was already in kind of in the fashion game, but I
Didn't want to always be like living in the shadow of my parents
I wanted to create something myself and you know, it was at first it was kind of shocking for them because you know
All of a sudden I come up with this idea that I want to bring top-quality apparel and stuff
But when our traditional business model from my family business is we chose to sell like an off-brand generic shoes
For like 3 bucks a pop. So this is like a completely different spectrum from what it is now
And you know, it took some convincing, you know
But I showed them like I tried showing them my vision as possible
Like I showed them my partners work like what he's capable of and you know
And I told him like this is what I really wanted. Like coz I wanted to create something out of myself
and you know
I was like I want to be able to have that self independence showing that I created something out of my own rather than oh
I
Inherited my parents business, you know, and that's why I don't want to do that
Like I want to himself made a man I start what about you on?
for me
Um, it's kind of a good and bad thing. I've never been close to my family
So I all of the decisions I have made in my life. It's just up to me. So when I dropped out I
Just did it. Yeah, I'm late. They did have some concerns. I just like oh go finish it and stuff
but I just show them like everything that I've been doing since I dropped out and
You know it
They're like, yeah, I guess you're fine
But then like my goal is to you know
Just get my shit straight so that I can take care of them and my little brothers soon enough
Because my little brother is like one of them is 18 now the other ones like 14, so I wanna you know
get my shit together fast so that I can am I able to
Show them the path. They don't leave out example. Yeah, yeah because they're not sure what they want
Especially the the middle one
He's not sure what he wants to do either and then right now I don't have enough time to help him
But one day soon, hopefully
Yeah, I think it's really cool how your you guys are going very death
Mm-hmm, because I feel like a lot of other companies that go like wide. Yeah, you know, they kind of like scouted themselves out
They don't actually build like a solid route and a foundation. Mm-hmm
I guess when did you start to see a community?
Did you see like right away or was it kind of like so for sure it wasn't right away
You know it first started with in Riverside actually, so you're saying yeah, once we released our first collection we short shared with Riverside
Oh, by the way, we all want to Riverside well
Continue on
yes, like, you know our origins come from Riverside in them, you know, we
Utilized like what available resources? We you know, because in the beginning you want to be able to
Utilize what you have available before you really try to like globalize and expand you into different markets
So we just use what our resources that we had and we reached out to Zeta
Zeta Phi Rho and then we just shared with them and then we we share with all our friends
so it was actually our friends that support us in the very beginning because you know
They bought our merch they like mess you. I don't know if I could cause or they go ahead
They fuck with our brand and then the air just went rocking in they support us
So it was like kind of like a inspiration, you know in the beginning for sure
It was it's pretty hard, you know, like not many people knew about uh, you know, we weren't sure what we're doing
There was a lot of mistakes being made a lot of things were like spontaneous mess
Last-minute things all the marketing was done with an iPhone too. And we actually just got an equipment like last month. No two weeks ago
The camera oh, yeah
My first equipment the first one
The whole thing is $1,000 including the lens that's a reloadable. Yeah. Yeah. I'm super excited to make contents with this
The community yeah the whole community idea we came up with it with it because we grew from a community ourselves
You know from a frat and like, you know
he taught us a lot about Brotherhood loyalty teamwork and like how
an organization can change a person so when I you know
When we came up with this idea like we want to change people's life
We want to inspire people and like the the best method is to have a community. You know, that someone can look up to yeah
Yeah, awesome
What's one of your early struggles you would say
You wanna go first early struggles? I
guess early struggle a big thing was just the
whole technical process of setting everything up and that was for sure a thing just because you know
I think when I created this company, I actually didn't know anything about street work to be honest. Yeah, it's too
Fast and I went to Marshalls or Ross to shop my my clothes
But then what and you know, it was like I have ended up going to a trip to China and then I kind of got
exposed to a giant market
well
it wasn't
But it was like more of the rep market but it kind of may open my eyes to like what is out there in terms
Of everywhere and fashion and then after that like I kind of like grew a better understanding of how fashion work is now
I'm looking at stock eggs Nike newest drop shoes Street where I like I look up all these brands and and
it's crazy how I
Learned so much when a year before I didn't know any about this
Word. It's always learning to do my
Obstacle it's definitely time. It's always it always has been but and I overcome it by just
prioritizing
Sometimes I just have to you know
Like cancel stuff on people which I feel really bad about but it's just part of what I have to do
Yeah, yes time
Time management, right? Yeah, there's only like so little time and so little to do stuff. It's crazy. Yeah, I mean
Especially me. I mean, I think all of us, I think especially when you're working a job
Mmm, now you come home you wash the dishes and it's ready like yeah, 9:30 10:00 p.m
So what's like, uh, do you guys have like a iconic moment where you guys realize like
Okay, like this is it like this is just shit that we're gonna keep building on. Yeah
I think one thing I
could enjoy
Was okay
What's more do you want like?
Yeah, justjust just say oh so like so some things include like our first-ever pop-up ad on a school campus
I mean that was a very exciting thing because I was the first time we set up a temporary brick-and-mortar store
You know for people to really see us in person rather than just on the website
Yeah, also
But I think our my very first one was when we had our first launch party
Where it's like it was kind of more of like a celebratory event where we kind of invited everybody that we were able to
come across me collaborate and
We invited them all to this party and you know, we said it took a lot of setup, you know
it was also a lot of last-minute things but in the end of the day when I looked at that party and I saw I
was like I saw how big we build this community of like not just like it's like a lot of micro influencers a lot of
People and it was just like it was such a crazy thing that I was like, yeah
And we built and that was during our like a fourth or fifth month or the third or fourth or expiring launch party. I
Think it was recently this
Is it it was like, it's August I think August. Yeah
yeah, the summertime and then yeah, it's from the four or five months like it felt like we were
From where we started like things were rolling, right? Yeah. It was rolling like the support was real. Mm-hmm
My favorite moment was I think it's the first pop-up shop - I remember I was like really nervous and anxious
Because I was like, oh what if no one shows up?
yeah, but a lot of people showed up and there's a lot of like random people that passed by and
They actually haven't heard about us but then they like the clothes they like the design. So that's actually a good thing - yeah
And then as they get to know us more we tell them about this whole you know
Vision the whole community thing and they they just fell in love with us and they bought our stuff so that sale went really successful
And then since then we have been invited to other pop ups
so like
DJs and I
Don't know what they're called. Yeah, we did collaborations for HB productions. So yeah for their first concert
That was our first one
also
We collaborated with your tip homos and sorry suck for their no fields or the feels concert and you know
we were set up right up in the front where everyone saw and it was just so much exposure and
Also people come up and they're like, oh should I see your stuff on the on social media?
So that makes me super happy - and we we have more to come
We actually had one yesterday - on a boat
so that was an HP event and like as the day goes by we just meet new people that show support and
It just gives us the motivation to continue. Yeah, so when you guys are
Like obviously when you guys mark it is they're always like one specific person or is it both of you that kind of go well
because for example
Charles and Max, you know, they kind of live out of LA
So in order for me to be like other business entrepreneurs clothing like CEOs, like I have to go out
majority of the time to meet these connections
is there do you guys both just roll together as a unit or is it more of
On doing it or as you most of the time we go together. Yeah when we meet up with people I
yeah set up a schedule we go to the specified date that we're gonna go shoot and then we usually have like
It's not even like it's like they're not even like people who like get paid, right?
They're just like people they just supporting and they they're like photographers and moms. I just come through to like just join us
yeah, and then every time they come through they bring someone new and he's like, hey, let's shoot and then like how we
We don't need you to be you know, a model to take pictures first like yeah, we just want you on there
We just want to know your story
Yeah
Yeah, so eighty percent of time like we got together, but then sometimes like he does his legal business stuff
You know manufacturing he meets up with
Designers and stuff so he does that on his own time and and then sometimes I do stuff on my own too
But most of the time we go together, yeah
after yesterday
What are some tips you guys could give people out there that are trying to build a community
Because I think it's pretty special that you like the way that you guys are building your brand you guys
Are you guys want to build a community?
so
Like what are some tips for people out there?
Well, I mean when you run a say for example when you run a retail store
Right is in customer service like a very important thing
yeah, so it's like you're treating each customer with like the utmost almost attention to just give them what they want and like just to
Satisfy them. So how we take it is like we treat everything like maybe like a transaction
We're like like it's like a customer but they're not customer. Of course. They're like our supporters
So what we do is when we go up to we take everything on a personal level because we want to get to actually know
Them rather than just like oh, hey you bought our stuff cool things and then you just stop talking to them
No, we want to make it more like once like once they hear about us
we want to know about what they like to do what they strive for because of an end that
For us because we want to be that platform people who they always want to do something
they don't know what to do or they don't have that like
Ambition to like take that next step to pursue what they really want to do and you want to be that guy to make them
put their foot on the door the community is
It's like, um, the community is in a way it's like giving people courage to do it. Yeah. It's like leading by example. Yeah. Yeah
so for my advice for people who want to build a community is well, I think I was able to do is cuz um
I wasn't afraid to share my story. You know, like I I talked about me dropping out
Openly I talked about my struggle
Like I I'm not a to be really
you know horrible person back then and I grew a lot and
I'm not showing off sharing it to people and I talk about my change like what you can do to change yourself
What you can do to make your life better
You just have to be genuine and honest and you start with you know
your close friends you start with like a small group and then if
That the group will grow so that's how you grow a community
it that's I don't think it works by just you know going on social me and be like Oh join this company you have to
Really like care about yeah. Yeah, especially like when you're meeting them out at parties and stuff
I feel like it's all about like the jab jab hook
You have a couple times and then you know when there's a favor you want to ask
You'll be surprised at how many people like go through the same struggle
Like most of you I talked to they they they agree like about, you know, our perspective on school and everything
Yeah, a lot of people agree with that you you just have to ask them and just be openly
Open about it know was there
Any time where you guys kind of got?
kind of fucked over basically by another person or like it'd be due to a business just in general like
Within the company. Yeah with it within or outside outside. Yeah, I
Guess in terms of my experience
My would issue would be I guess in terms of supply
so the thing with me is like when I tried doing overseas for the first time the thing of with
ordering overseas is like and these aren't just like these are like people like I've met
Oh, yeah, so like on my trip to China, you know
like I came across his supplier that I thought it was like a little too good to be true because you know
He was offering me Great Race
yeah, and then I was relying on him because you know
I was told by when my partner said this is the guy that I can rely on
For my future drops, and I guess when I started relying on him
He just never gave like left me on read and my message is back
And then at that point it put me at all on a hole which kind of led to delays and on. Yeah
Yeah, Charles can't be here today because uh not enough mics
Cameraman today, he's actually injured. Oh
Okay, it's okay, um
Worried they're
Getting fucked over. Yeah. Yeah ya know cuz like managing relationships with manufacturers is always hard
It's it's not easy. Yeah, especially I think when they see you as a start-up they might don't expect. Yeah
Yeah, so, why would they connect exactly?
That was one of the feed challenges that we faced awesome. That was one of her early struggles. Yeah
also, I think another thing is like the language barrier because even I was born here and then I
Didn't learn Chinese and you know when I'm talking to me
I guess they don't really take me seriously because I get and because of that they can in a way take advantage of you
Yeah, because in there just like oh, it's just some guy who is trying to order like the most minimum quantity
Yeah, you know you have to understand that we're a start-up we have we were the ones that have to sell it piece by piece
That's like a common struggle like a lot of startups, yeah
Yeah, but after that, you know, I keep you la la we're gonna make our stuff in LA now
Yeah, is there any like new markets that you're trying to hit?
well like Oregon or you know, so actually
uh
Some of that she got a lot of coat market penetration in terms of like customers who've never met before we've had people from Massachusetts
New York if you even Washington so it's like wow we don't know where these people are finding us, but yeah
It's like going around I guess and then we have models actually from East Coast that just like love our stuff in repose. So I
think it's crazy cause like, you know originally
the outlook of our company like it attracts a lot of
Ancient American college students Asian Americans is more oriented towards Apple and we have a lot of different other
demographics that are
supportive ran
Like we don't actively look for a demographic to target if if they come they come and we work on them
Like we just like to grow what we already have and just strengthen it and then people will come slowly
so
Yeah, this is one of my last questions if you still have any after is where do you see expired in five years, so
I
I actually really look up to the brand Jim shark. I like I think I got my yeah, they they do the same thing
They have a community. They have a strong presence with media and stuff - yeah, so that's in terms of the marketing and the
Community part and then ask for fashion wise I like off why I like how awful I do their stuff
So I want to be as hype as off-white
But then also I have to what do what Jim shock does like we want to be cool, but like approachable cool. Yeah. Yeah
They do they do really good marketing
Yeah, I agree. Every girl has a pair of gin sharks
Yeah, I mean, okay
one thing we do is like we don't do restocks and
because I don't want to stay exclusive, you know, there's there's some brands out there that like
In the originally I thought I was trying to sell it to like retail stories. Like, you know PacSun. Mm-hmm
Yeah, I mean no hate for them. But yeah, yeah, yeah
I wanted to keep it very exclusive more local so that it just kind of grows from there. Yeah, so
Once an item run now, we don't remake them. Right we usually make like what 50 items?
yeah, usually ranges from like 25 to 50 per
Color. Yeah. Yeah and people are actually like asking us to remake like some items are sold out now, but it's just like it. Yeah
so that's really cool to see -
Yeah, yes, well that's it for right now yeah, yeah, thank you guys for coming out by the way, thank you
Yes, it was very interesting. I'm looking forward to future what pockets yeah
yeah, and like see this whole thing grow and this is gonna be
Well, we just had a podcast with expired lifestyle
With Garrett and on what both?
Cofounders of the company and yeah, yeah and then uh next couple weeks
We're gonna have some more exciting guests. Just stay tuned. We got a schedule
hmm stay tuned
It's my a-game
You
