Youtube daily what Nov 12 2017

hi everyone its Keren here and welcome back to my channel thank you so much for

coming back to watch my new video today i have a video designed for 7 Dots studio

where i created a set of ATC cards i used both the dreamscapes collection and

the hazy days collection however there are some new collections that had just

come out and they're just beautiful so stay tuned for those in the next few

weeks I created a set of ATC's and they have the theme of film and cameras

because I really want to make them a little bit more grungy looking so sit

down enjoy the process and just to let you know that all the materials and

products are linked below in the description area for those of you who

don't know, an ATC stands for artists trading card the size of an ATC is two

and a half by three and a half inches and as you can see I'm cutting some of

the 7 dots studio paper into that size I am cutting six of them and one

side will be three and a half and the other one will be two and a half inches

artist trading cards better known as ATC's arer little cards where you make

your own artwork on it and then trade them with people whether it is in the

same country or around the world and each person makes their own artwork and

then they trade them with other people it's really fun to trade with other

people and I've done this a lot when I've traded with people from around the

world so they have a piece of my art and I have a piece of theirs most people

make them in sets like I did today so you have a few people to trade with once

I cut my six card backgrounds I took the hazy day stamp from seven

dots to do and started applying it to the background I took the one that looks

more circular it looks like a huge paint splatter and in order to get just

partial image on my cards I put two cards together and started stamping that

with my stamp now I took a acrylic block because it's easier to press with it and

as you can see I get half a circle on one stamp and then half on the other

this is a great technique to do when you want to just get a partial image of

something in different areas so as you can see now I'm going to add four of

them together and then get a corner image of the circle and some in one of

the cards and then a little bit of another part of the image on another

card and this is a really great way to just create texture I continued moving

the cards in the areas where I wanted to stamp and just place them beside each

other so I would only have to stamp once in that way I would create partial

images on all my cards ATC's can have any theme you like and a lot of people

trade them in groups where they have a monthly theme and they trade and create

an art related to that theme and then they have monthly swaps where they all

trade one of the cards and they make the same one for every one so that's a good

group way to trade ATC's and find groups in your area that want to do this type

of trading

then I took a stapled like stamp that comes in the same set and added some

more texture in the background

finally I took the smallest stamp in the set which gives you some paint splatters

and just stamped around to add even more texture to create some more texture it

took a stencil from the crafters workshop which has a filmstrip on it and

I use some distress oxide ink in the vintage photo and wild honey colors and

just dubbed it with my blending tool to create some really nice filmstrip

stencils because it matched perfectly with my seam I did this to all the cards

and then I heat set them using my Ranger heat tool because I wanted to make sure

that it doesn't interact with any other medium

I took my prima distressing tool and distrust the edges to each one of the

cards and then I took the two colors I had used for the filmstrip and I just

edged the edges and inked them with the two colors to create a really nice

vintage look I took some Prima marketing wood icons

these are the cameras and I inked them in the same colors I had used for the

cars which is the wild honey and the vintage photo distress oxide ink I

didn't have enough camera so I use an hourglass for one of the icons I don't

know if I'll be able to list these in the description area as I'm not sure if

they're still available these are old and I had them in my stash but you can

use any wood icons for these now it was time to assemble the cards I took a few

flares from the hazy days collection and a few of the die-cut elements from both

the hazy days in the dreamscapes collection I basically took many of them

and then I rearranged them on each of the cards one of the really nice

techniques I like using is I like using my tiny attacher from Tim Holtz and I've

done this with a lot of the ATC's that I've created where I use the staples to

end the stapler to attach the little die-cuts to my cards and this is a great

way to make it look quite vintage and also to make them stick to the page

without having to use too much glue so I just go and I staple them to the

background and because I already had some stamped images that look like

staples this was perfect because it matched the rest of this really rugged

look

once I stapled all the die-cuts on to each of the cards I took the little wood

icon camera and my flares and I put one on each of the cards to give a little

bit more texture I took some black thread and I ripped a bunch of it and

used some soft matte gel to glue it to each of the backgrounds so I would rip

this thread and then use some gel to glue it to the background then I took

the same gel and used it to glue the flare and the camera I would love to

know if any of you like to make ATC's and if you do please leave me a comment

and tell me what type of ATC's are your favorite to make and if you've never

made them before I would love to see some of them so please show them to me

share them with me on social media I'd love to see if you've made them before

and leave me a comment and let me know

you

one of the things that I like doing is adding sentiments to each of my ATC's so

I took the word stickers from both the hazy days and the dreamscapes collection

and picked my favorite sentiments out of them and then stuck them to the

background

finally I knew that I wanted to add a little bit of some glimmer to the

background so I took my noodle glimmer pace this is the gold color and using a

paintbrush I just basically added it to the

background and let me tell you this is one of the easiest way to add some

glimmer to anything it really came out amazing I didn't have and it was not a

lot of effort so it was just a really really cool way to add that's really

nice sparkle to anything and it goes on so smoothly and dries really really

quickly

What Is The Max Amount of Victims That Churnwalker Hook? | Experiment - Duration: 1:52.

Churnwalker has massive area of control potential and it all revolves around his

first ability hook and chain. Landing this ability resets its cool down

allowing Churnwalker to throw out multiple hooks in rapid succession. Now

realistically you're really only going to see three or four hooks thrown by a

Churnwalker in a real game, but I'm going to test the max number of hook

victims today, the max number that you could have at one moment. Basically I set

up in the enemy jungle where I have vision of the mid camp, back camp, and

crystal miner and with the help of my friends, three enemies in the jungle

Enough of me talking, I'll let you see the result.

ENGLISH (natural, native speed) | What's in my bag? | Vocabulary & Listening Practice - Duration: 13:01.

Here we have some...

Hi guys, welcome back to English with Max. Today I have a

listening and vocabulary video for you. This one is going to be a little

different. What I'm going to do is show you what I keep in my handbag.

Now this one's not just for the ladies, so gentlemen, stay where you are, because

most of the stuff I'm going to show you are things that can be used by both

genders. Normally this is the type of video that beauty gurus do, and I'm

certainly not a beauty guru. Although I did do a makeup video - sort of - I'll

put the link in the description. Anyway, I thought by showing you what's in my

handbag, I could teach you some useful, everyday vocabulary. Before I go on I

just want to remind you that you can follow me on social media. I'll put the

link in the description. Remember as well that there are English subtitles

available for all my videos. You just need to click on the CC button which is

in the right corner - right bottom corner - if you're watching this on a computer.

If you are watching this on a mobile device, you need to click on the three dots in the

top right corner, and then click on "Captions". I also want to thank those

people who have added subtitles to some of my videos in their native language.

Sometimes people do that anonymously, so I don't know who all of you are, but I

just wanted to say that I really do appreciate it. If you want to add

subtitles in your own language, I will put the link in the description box.

So without further ado, what is in my bag?

Well, first we have Frank. Sometimes it's Frank, sometimes it's George.

There's not enough room for both of them. Um, nah, I'm kidding. I don't carry

George and Frank around with me. At least not all of the time. I'm 31, after all.

Next we have my sunglasses. These are pretty standard sunglasses. I don't buy

expensive sunglasses because I'm a klutz, which means that I am a clumsy person

and I drop things quite a lot. And as soon as you drop your sunglasses, you

normally get a scratch, and they're ruined. So I think I bought these for about 10 bucks.

What else? This is a dirty tissue. Um, yeah... some more. Time to clean.

This is a packet of tissues. A packet of clean tissues.

Before. After.

Next we have... a receipt.

A receipt is - I don't know why it's so long, I mean, it's a waste of paper - but anyway,

a receipt is what you get at a shop when you buy something. The piece of paper that

they give you with all the prices. Another receipt.

This is a fan. Because sometimes it gets very hot here and you

often don't, I don't know, you just don't expect it to be that hot.

I got this in Spain, by the way. It's very pretty.

Umm... what else? These are my keys. Keys. You probably know that word. Ahh this...

This this is gum - chewing gum, but after it has been chewed. This is um - okay so that's obviously

fallen out of this. This is chewing gum before it has been chewed. So we have

before and after. This is a little bag. It's a shopping bag, you know, so you

don't have to use too much plastic when you go to the supermarket. Unfortunately

in my state in Australia they still give out bags without charging people,

which I don't agree with. But anyway, that's another topic.

It's not good for the environment.

This is - what would we call this? Hair. I would call this a pouch. You

could just call it a little bag. You see, sometimes even native speakers don't

know what to call things. The word "pouch" just means a small bag. A small bag or a

small sack. Anyway, in this I keep just little bits and bobs...

You know, for emergencies. Okay, this is - this is just for women. This is probably the

only thing that is not for - is not for men, or also for men, in my bag. This is a

sanitary pad for emergencies. Normally we just call them pads: a pad. But the long

word is "sanitary pad". Um, I don't think I need to explain what that's for. Okay.

This is a little brush and this is a little mirror. This used to fit together,

but it broke. But they're still good. Okay, what else?

This is paracetamol. In case, you know, you get a headache or something. I think it's

the same in most languages, but in English we pronounce it "pa-ra-see-tah-mole".

These are ear plugs. This is something that I don't think many people carry in

their bag, but I keep them there in case I'm, I don't know, somewhere where I want

to read and there's a lot of noise, or I don't know, when you travel - sometimes

you're in a motel and there's more noise than what you are used to at home.

Earplugs are things that you put in your ears to block out noise. Here we have a

hair clip. It's a pretty normal hair clip. This is lip gloss. I don't actually carry

much makeup around with me because normally I just put it on in the morning,

or I put it on at night if I'm going out, and then I just leave it. If it, you know,

fades during the day, I don't really care. But normally I have some lip gloss.

This is a pen. Just a standard ballpoint pen. And here we have some Band-Aids.

"Band-Aid" is actually the brand. I think in the U- what do they say in the UK?

I can't think of it, but I'll put in a note just here.

Yeah, I'm a klutz, like I said. I'm clumsy so having Band-Aids in my bag is really handy.

This is my wallet. A wallet is simply something that holds money and cards.

I'll show you some Australian money actually, because it's quite interesting.

It's very colourful and it's made of plastic, which means that if you

put it in water, it's not damaged. But I'll do a video on money, because I think

that's - that could be an interesting topic, and I'll also show you some more

Australian money. It also holds cards, like your bank card, your driver's licence,

and things like loyalty cards. Loyalty cards are the ones they give you

in shops when they say that you can save a bunch of money, but really it's just an

excuse for them to get your email address, so they can send you a bunch of

advertising crap. Yeah. I'm very positive today. Now what is the difference between

a wallet and a purse? Well, it's a bit difficult to say, but normally a purse is

a bit bigger. And normally when we say "purse" we think of something that a woman

carries. Obviously women can also carry wallets, like me, because I like having

something small that I can put in my pocket if I need to. But normally men

don't carry purses. Except in the times of Shakespeare. If you read Shakespeare

you'll see that men also carried purses, but nowadays men normally carry a wallet.

However, now this is a bit weird, this is a coin purse. This is where I keep my coins.

I don't know why it's called that because, like I said, normally a purse is

bigger. But this is an exception. This is an umbrella. It's a very small, compact

umbrella that I keep in here, in case it rains when I'm not expecting it to.

These are my glasses. Yes, "glasses", even though it's one thing, are plural.

Like "sunglasses". I'm long-sighted, which means that I see well in the

distance, but I don't see well close up. So I wear them for reading and sometimes

watching TV, and things like that. We say "long-sighted" in Australia, but I think

the more common expression is "far-sighted". Far-sighted, long-sighted, they mean the same thing.

This is a glasses case. Glasses case.

This is my bottle of water.

I always carry water with me... to be healthy.

This is my phone.

This is a good old iPhone 5, which obviously isn't the latest one, but I don't really care.

I've never been into gadgets, so I just bought this second-hand last year and it works fine.

I'm now going to leave you with a short exercise: if you want to practise your

English, you can go to the comments section and tell me what you keep in

your bag. If you don't carry a bag with you, tell me what you keep in your

pockets. Otherwise you can leave a different message. Don't be shy about

your English, you know, everybody makes mistakes. We're here to learn and I

really do like hearing from you. Don't forget to like and subscribe, and

remember also to click the little bell next to the subscribe button if you want

to get email notifications.

See you next time!

Taylor Swift Call It What You Want Lyric Video blind commentary - Duration: 8:15.

how's it going everybody my name is Billy and it is time for another video

in today's video I'm going to be watching another music video by Taylor

Swift this is Taylor Swift's new song you guys wanted me to see this so um

yeah it is cold call it what you want the last performance sensor of Taylor

Swift it was very advanced and very like epic and I really liked it it gave me

chills and yeah me I am a fan of Taylor Swift I'm not one of those really

extreme fans though me I just enjoy her music I find that like wonderful listen

to you sometimes and yeah anyway guys original link will be in the description

but lawyer I do not know what this song has in store I am excited I do enjoy

tell us what's music and yeah call it what you want I'm guessing she's just

like dumb she's she doesn't care what people would say like you can say

whatever about me but whatever it doesn't matter everyone

bother me like I'm guessing that's what it's going to be kind of about but I

don't know just by talking so if not for them to do let's get into it

alright people let's get into this in three two one

play oh it's like a scrapbook

I like these instruments okay this is entirely different to what it was before

my castle crumbled overnight like the last video I brought a knife to a

gunfight picks up the ground but it's alright oh she lost all the liars are

calling me one why nobody's heard from me for months it's just so much

different to the last video my baby's bed like a daydream walking with

his head down oh this beat

my babies fly like a jet stream high above the whole scene loves me like I'm

brand-new okay call it what you want to Windows boarded storm this is so good the fire just to

keep me warm

I can't see anything this is just wow and I know I make mistakes every time

this is kind of relatable

we all make mistakes but sometimes we don't always learn from them

this is great

my babies fly like a jet stream

not because he owns me but cuz you really know

it seems she's has trust for this person - oh God this beat is so good

this is a good song I like it

it's so different to the last video

oh my gosh darn it

my emotions

call it what you want year call it what you want- to

damn I almost teared up

jeez that was oh man I felt that I like wow that's song that? wow it

was a deep song like jeez I couldn't really talk throughout this video

because I was just so into the song I was really taken away when I was

listening to this it was just so wonderful in my opinion anyway I really

liked Taylor Swift's flow in her music now like it just flows so well it's like

just really great when you listen to it like you can go along with it I like

that it's just it's so catchy it's good but yeah Wow a beautiful song like

man at the start like she brought a knife to a gunfight

she lost but it's alright like these lyrics people like wow speechless that

was a much different like feel to what the lost some was the other song was

just like oh my god this is poppin and this song is more of a turndown like a

more serious like getting into the emotional side of things type a song like

wow Taylor oh my gosh uh-oh I wasn't wasn't ready for that

I wasn't very no no no I wasn't ready I feel like this song has a much more

deeper meaning to it and like I'm guessing that people have said things

about her that quite negative and she's just like stating that you can say what

you want and like I don't care in a way like this song has such emotional

touching side it just got me in that state like at the near-end oh I was

holding back the waterworks because it was getting to the point where I was

gonna cry like geez I Wow it was a lot more different feel as I've said than

the other videos I have seen of her and it's good I like music that has that

personal emotion to it like something personal to her like I can tell this was

a personal song just by listening to it and yeah guys I I turned her what else

to say I'm just like wow it was a beautiful song to me anyway these are

just my thoughts of what I thought of the song hopefully we'll get a music

video on this because at the moment it's just the lyrics because this video is

quite nude I really did enjoy this music video I thought it was really I'm

creative or full the styles and pictures and everything it was lovely to watch

and I gotta say thank you for requesting this to me I really did enjoy this a lot

and I've got to say that I do enjoy watching music videos and music related

stuff I'm not really a musical channel but I love music anyway me I will watch

more musical stuff but um yeah I'm still happy to do other things as well feel

free to leave any requests or thoughts on what you think well if you guys have

any requests for me for other videos that's cool I might sound a little bit

off in this video I am starting to get a bit sick I'm getting the flu oh it's

coming back to haunt me I don't like it but um yeah so sorry if my voice sounds

a little bit dead inside but yeah I'm practically falling but yeah I just

really wanted to make this video and I hope you guys enjoyed this

Dragons Riders Of Berk What Flies Beneath Top Cartoon For Kids & Children - BEN WARD - Duration: 16:47.

PLEASE LIKE, SHARE, COMMENT & SUBCRIBE video! Thanks you very much!

The past can come back to haunt them let's go back to sleep

For your right bucket not so happy anymore what happened something pushed me out, so pissed I made them big

Was that whatever it was I want one if I had to take a guess I'd say that was

Luke's angry. Why don't you do that thing? Where you touch? It snores and feed it grass

When I think is cleaner toothless

He can't fly remember and whose fault is that seriously did you just go the hey?

I call it like I see it the whispering death

Singled toothless toothless wanted that dragon all to himself yeah. He certainly did, but why I?

Really? Wish you could just tell me. What was going on out there today?

Just my dad, I don't think he'll be coming back anytime soon at least I hope not

Now me, too

When after him

Alone

Maybe toothless just went for morning flights. Oh, that's right. He can't

Really, you're going there again Fishlegs. Is there anything about the whispering death in the book of dragons that can help us

It can shoot razor-sharp spines from any part of its body. That's new I like it this dragon must have a weakness

Actually, no. Yeah, it says right here. No known weaknesses. Yeah, I really love this down below

Toothless, I know what you don't try to confuse me

He must have lost a tooth is it sharp if it is I want it listen

Listen for what I don't hear anything

What are we listening?

Maybe to look for water

Maybe because he can't stand the pressure of everybody always expected him to have the answers

It'll leave toothless alone right so you are trying to get yourself killed

I know what you're thinking and the answer's no

Kind of figured you'd be the last one to volunteer yeah, I didn't want you to have to face that thing

These things been a busy oh

You were talking to me Fishlegs new dragon you love this stuff

For us

They have a history a grudge if that's true. How long did Jagan's carry a grudge?

They've been down there forever

I don't think it likes you in its. Hole. Yeah. I got that can we get out of here, please?

Line up into the group

Kind of like you and me snotlout you're not my archenemy well, you're mine

He never thought I'd say this snotlout, but I think you're right

There is get me down there

But you had me so worried Kawai from this button

So close he needs our help

You saved me I save you. That's the way it is

Man Jesus could have finished him off

You're gonna need a great friend who has your back. I will always have to fusses back and he will always

Or else

Because sometimes you're dragging those better than you

Hey has anyone seen Fishlegs I saw him yesterday does that count?

Oops and there goes my dignity

Yeah, you're pretty stuck I

Believe those are mine

Now what are we gonna do about meat?

Log like it like a flaming squirrel really a flaming squirrel or chipmunk

There's some other flammable rodents you saw that right

I've never seen anything like him

Don't be afraid I'm a friend here

It's okay just a little dragon nip

This is so exciting. It's a whole new species doesn't look like a flaming squirrel at me

We have no idea what it's capable of come on you guys. This is serious

We have to figure out what to do with them. He's hurt. He's hurt

He's just really scared. He'll settle down

Here's your somebody

No no no

Looks like you got torched. Oh, that's his name by the way torch so he can stay clip

This is where you're gonna sleep

Hope he sleeps through the night he hardly ate and you go to sleep

Learning no thanks. There's nothing in the book of dragons that looks anything like him. We even get to determine what it's called oh

Look at these talons, they're a razor like your car razor feet razor sharp claw seven feet

Here that torch you're one of a kind no we need to get it to fly maybe if torch saw toothless fly

watch and learn

Man we broke in maybe he can't fly

You like a typhoon and he came back just like a boomerang a spinner flaming comebacker know

Y'all k torch hold still

I'm trying to draw you you're getting your own chapter

I'll be right back

That's okay, big guy he's starting to worry me, too

Another thing we have in common something must be going on under the surface dragons are complex creatures hiccup

My panpipes know I can give a bond back together

Helping Sony. I don't know what's gotten into you, but I don't like it

I never thought bringing torch home would lead to this. I've got to separate you two until I can figure this out

Then you won't have the dragon to ride, and if you don't have a dragon to ride

Then you can't be the leader of the dragon Academy

Ultimate destruction it was beautiful the whole thing was torched

Like we said ultimate destruction

Looks really mad it's not a he it's a she and this baby

He's gonna get fried you take it. I don't want. He just leave it and let's get out of here

You guys go that way. I'll lead her back into the forest away from the village

Evasive maneuvers

We'll use her size against her

Goodbye torture

And then you do that

Because sometimes what the dragon is trying to say is what you really need to hear

What Happens to Consciousness Under Anesthesia? - Duration: 4:35.

When you are put under general anesthesia, the experience is not like the dimming of

a light.

It's more like the flicking of a switch.

One second you are in the operating room and then — click — you wake up in another

room after your surgery.

Everything that happened in between is missing.

For a long time, doctors haven't known why anesthesia works this way or what happens

to your consciousness when you are put under.

Anesthesia has always been a black box phenomenon—we know what goes into the box and what comes

out, but what happens inside the box is unknown.

"It's still almost a philosophical mystery," science writer Carl Zimmer told Radiolab in

an episode called "Decoding the Void."

It's not like anesthesia is new, either.

It dates back to 1846 when American dentist William Morton first publicly demonstrated

the use of anesthesia for surgery—although there's still debate over whether Morton

was really anesthesia's originator.

Using modern techniques for monitoring the activity of the brain, scientists have recently

started to peek inside that black box.

One of these researchers is Patrick Purdon, PhD, an assistant professor of anesthesia

at Harvard Medical School.

Purdon told RadioLab about one of the experiments that he conducted, looking at people's brain

activity while they are under anesthesia.

His team administered the anesthetic propofol to a group of volunteers through an IV, increasing

the amount every 15 minutes.

The researchers asked people to press a button every time they heard a sound or word that

they recognized.

Eventually people stopped responding—they were "out cold."

Again, it was like the flicking of a consciousness switch.

Purdon and his team measured the brain waves of volunteers during this experiment.

What they found was that at the moment that people lost consciousness, there was a clear

pattern in the brain waves—what Purdon described to Radiolab as "a really low-frequency oscillation,

about one cycle per second or less."

There was also a higher-frequency piece—an alpha wave—that appeared at the front of

the brain.

Purdon and his team did another experiment in which they measured brain activity in individual

neurons while people were under anesthesia.

They accomplished this by implanting tiny electrodes deep inside the brain.

As before, the researchers saw a slow wave sweep across the brain right at the moment

of loss of consciousness.

This wave allowed clusters of neurons to fire only at a particular moment during the slow

oscillation.

Each cluster was active at different times during the wave.

So when one cluster was "talking," nearby ones were not listening—there was no one

to talk to.

We often think that consciousness is a state of order or synchrony, but this research suggests

otherwise.

Consciousness is actually chaotic and noisy.

This results from many parts of the brain being active at the same time, such as those

involved in facial recognition, sound, touch and language.

These areas also communicate with each other in a complicated, multilayered conversation—what

is known as "connectivity."

When a person is under anesthesia, the brain is less noisy, but it doesn't shut off completely.

If you play a sound to someone while they are under, the auditory cortex still lights

up under brain scans.

However, while the parts of your brain still talk under anesthesia, they are not talking

to each other.

This lack of connectivity is what "knocks you out."

What Purdon and his colleagues discovered—over 150 years after the first surgery was performed

under general anesthesia—is that consciousness involves the brain talking and listening to

itself.

This communication goes away under anesthesia.

When the slow wave passes, Purdon told Radiolab, "the neurons can't all fire at the same

time and talk to one another.

And in that state, it would be impossible to be conscious."

What $4,800 Will Get You In NYC | Sweet Digs Home Tour | Refinery29 - Duration: 6:00.

Hi guys! I'm Ally Hickson,

social media editor at Refinery29,

welcome to my Sweet Digs.

Two things before we get started,

take off your shoes, because this is a no shoe apartment,

and click below to subscribe.

Come on in.

I live in a three bedroom, two bathroom apartment

on the Upper West Side.

Though technically this area is "Lincoln Square."

I have two roommates, and our apartment is

4800 dollars a month.

Personally I think the rent is too damn high,

but I really love this neighborhood,

I love living a block from Central Park,

I love being by Lincoln Center,

One of my top five favorite movies is You've Got Mail,

and it's kind of like an ode to the Upper West Side.

I feel like am Meg Ryan every day.

This is my kitchen.

I think it's a pretty large kitchen for New York City, to be honest.

We have this amazing counter top here.

It's probably where I eat most of my meals.

Okay kitchen confession, um, I don't cook that much.

I am a satisfactory cook. Like I won't starve.

It's really my roommate Jess who's the cook,

she's the true grown up of this apartment.

My least favorite part of the apartment is definitely my bathroom,

for a few reasons.

I don't like sharing a bathroom.

My least favorite thing of all is that we just have shower stalls,

we don't have tubs in our bathrooms.

I love taking baths, so I miss having a tub.

Also it makes a horrible noise.

I hate that sound.

This is our living room.

The couch is my favorite part of the apartment.

The couch is also the most expensive thing in the apartment.

It's like 800 dollars.

At the time I wanted to cry and thought

how could a piece of furniture be so expensive.

It was worth it.

I got it actually at Ikea, and people love this couch.

Because it's so cozy.

It's...it's special.

Oh my god there's like a photo now of me

like massaging my couch.

I got this a bajillion years ago.

Why am I holding a flask?

It used to be on the other side of the room as a TV stand,

but we got a a much larger TV.

We turned it into a bar.

And obviously we enjoy alcohol in this apartment.

Help yourself.

This is my roommate Ada's room.

It's the smallest room in our apartment,

but it has it's own private bathroom, so you're kind of winning.

We took the closet doors off, so that way we could fit a larger bed in here.

There are a few things in her room

that are still things that, like, I brought in here.

This wardrobe actually used to be my wardrobe, and she took it from me.

That sounds so mean, "she took it from me," I mean she bought it from me.

It was a gift.

In the bathroom the thing I'm most proud of in this room

is I built one of those floating shelf thingies,

and it's still hanging in there, and her stuff is on it,

and it hasn't fallen over.

So like, call me if you need me to build you something in your apartment.

When I first moved in the apartment

my rent was only $1400 a month, which is kinda nice,

especially since I had my own bathroom.

Now I live in one of the bigger bedrooms. I pay more rent.

About $1590 now.

Welcome to my bedroom.

It's a much larger space. I have my own huge closet now,

and a weird nook that I don't even know what to do with.

I pile things in the little nook in my room,

but I don't really pile things, like I throw it there for like an hour,

and then I have to hang everything up or I can't go to bed.

The only things that I really have a lot of are shoes and books.

Anywhere there's room there's books and there's shoes.

And if I had to guess how many shoes I have in total?

30 to 40 pairs of shoes.

It's a lot of shoes.

My favorite pair of shoes right now are these velvet ankle boots.

And then my other favorite, I just got,

are these little, like, silver school-girly shoes.

They're really cute, and they're actually super comfortable.

I could not choose a favorite book. Please don't make me. Please.

Ta-Nehisi Coates. It's incredible. Between the World and Me.

Toni Morrison, The Bluest Eye, which is one of my all time favorites.

But really great because she signed it.

Pretty cool.

This is honestly my 8th grade copy of Romeo & Juliet.

You can flip inside and find really important notes like,

"Romeo loves Rosaline." Insightful.

My most sentimental piece of furniture is definitely my typewriter.

My best friend from college bought me this typewriter

when I went to journalism school.

It was really expensive and cost her, like, all of her savings at the time.

Like, actual friendship goals.

I use it to write thank you notes, and I write letters to my grandmother on it sometimes.

This is my roommate Jess' room.

She is really great at decor, keeping things neat and organized,

and she has like a very set cute style. It's perfect.

Jess' room is not only super beautiful, it's also the largest room in the apartment.

And it has a huge walk in closet that could probably fit

like another family inside of it.

She pays the most in rent out of all of us.

A friend and I were looking at apartments,

we both really love the Upper West Side.

And then she spotted this place on Craig's List,

and we both were like, it can't be real.

And then we came here and it was the real deal.

We fell in love, and now I'm here, like, five years later.

Which in New York is a long time.

I would say like my shared space style is minimal.

I'm really big on keeping things organized.

I don't know if you noticed already in our apartment

but there's like not a single thing out of place.

And that's not because you guys were coming to visit and we wanted to look cute,

we legitimately don't leave crap out in our apartment.

I would definitely move out, but it would take a lot to get me to move.

I would probably want my own space.

In my next dream apartment I want more closet space, because I have so many shoes.

More bookshelves for all my books,

and goals to have a washer-dryer in my unit.

Maybe I'll be- oh!

I'm so graceful!

Man Sees 'Shadow' Running Out Of Rubble.

Breaks Down Sobbing When He Realizes What It Is

During the past few months, Mother Nature has brought havoc, devastation, and chaos

throughout the United States.

From Florida and Alabama to California and Texas, thousands upon thousands of people

have lost their homes and many their lives.

The hurricanes, floods, and wildfires are entirely responsible for the destruction of

homes, land, and lives, but from the ashes and floodwaters arise stories of hope and

resiliency.

The recent wildfires in Santa Rosa, California, tore through acres of land, destroying homes

and burning decades of family memories and possessions.

Jack Weaver and his family, like many others, lost everything in the wake of the fire.

When it was safe for folks to return to investigate what remained of their homes, Jack and his

brother-in-law took the initiative to check on the state of his parents' home.

Jack feared that, along with losing their dwelling, his parents had lost their beloved

Bernese Mountain Dog, Izzy.

Jack didn't want his mother to find Izzy's body in the rubble.

"Izzy is here!"

Jack yelled excitedly.

"Izzy, come here baby!"

When the brave survivor heard her name, she rushed through the debris toward the men.

Jack described the moment he spotted Izzy for the first time: "It was one of the greatest

moments of my life," he said.

"It was elation — we came walking around the corner [and] we didn't expect to see

her."

We're so happy for Jack and his entire family.

While they lost many special and sentimental items, there are more important things than

mementos.

These men salvaged the most beautiful treasure of all.

Were you happy to see Izzy running out of the rubble?

So share this!

I want to get feedback from you guys. So, what do you guys think that among all

the videos that I have done from the past couple of weeks? I mean if you're

of my videos? Do you think that my videos actually provide value to you guys? I do

want to hear some feedback from that because I want to keep progressing it

and how can I actually bring in-depth content, a better content to my audience,

which is you guys! And another thing is that I want to get feedback on what do you

guys think of the parody music that I made because it's quite like a huge

differences between the Instagram strategy videos and the music video.

I don't think I'm good in creating music but you know I don't even know musical

instrument but why not to bring some types of (you know you know) comedy, parody

on my channel, but do think, do you guys like it? Do you guys think that it

suits my channel or should I just stop doing it already, and another thing that

I want to get the feedback is that what do you guys think of the travel vlogs which

is now branded as Voyage of Discovery. Do you guys think that that's

a good series to continue. I've been doing three episodes, the first episode

was documented my trip to Paris. The second episode, I brings you guys out to

one of the Malaysian temples, and the last video I made which is just a few days

ago, it was about when I went to a park and deal with my problem or do you guys

love this kind of videos like more candid like this or you guys want me

to you know bring some changes on that? Your comments mean a lot to me,

so please leave your comments down below or you can even send a video message to me

What's on My iPhone | Photo Editing & Tyopography [CC] // aGirlWithLyme - Duration: 22:57.

[Intro Music. Vincent Tone - New Summits.]

Hi guys so in today's video I am going to show you what's on my iPhone. If you

haven't noticed I don't actually have an iPhone this is an iPod - I believe this is

the 6th generation, it's basically a light version of an

iPhone. I don't have an iPhone because I don't have enough friends to text

and call, I hardly leave the house, I really don't even need one. If I can go

somewheres with a Wi-Fi connection then I can like you know, text my brother, or

my sister or anything to get a hold of anyone that I need. But I do a lot of

things on my iPod. I used to edit all of my YouTube videos using my iPod, I make

my YouTube thumbnails using my iPod - which I am going to have a video on, both

on how I make my YouTube thumbnail on my iPod, as well as how I edit my YouTube

videos on my iPod. I also edit a lot of my photography on my iPod as well, and I

make all my typography quotes on my iPod as well, and most recently I've been really

into playing games on my iPod. Okay so my iPod - you can see this is probably like screen

inception cause I have a screen right here showing everything that is on my

iPod. We're going to go app by app, folder by folder. So let's get

started. The first thing I have in the upper left hand corner is well, the usual, I

have calendar, I have camera which you can now see the camera, that I'm filming

on, this is so, probably like really weird. I have my photos, I have my photos - I just took

a bunch of selfies, so yeah that's that. Okay first folder over here is folder

that is productivity. In this folder I have Evernote. When I make a video I put

all of my scripts into Evernote, and I will read - see this is a script for this

video so I'm not an idiot and don't forget what

I'm saying. You can see my whole intro I just did - hey guys so what's in

today's video, I'm gonna show you what's on my iPhone. And then you can see that

and I have all my scripts, these red dots are all the videos I have to film

today. Okay next one I have is my Google Drive, this app keeps crashing on me and it's

really annoying, but I have like a lot of photos which the thumbnails for these

photos hardly ever load. Over here is Day One, I featured this in my Chronic

Illness Health Apps, um this is password protected, I'm not going to go on this

but this is my journal, this is what I use for journaling, I use it to talk

about my health, talk about things that happened during my day, my feelings- that

that sort of thing. Planner Pro ,this is basically a calendar but I like it

better then the calendar that comes with an iPod, it's much easier and it's

color-coded so all the red dots you see are days that I post videos. So yeah

that's that. Over here is a Wunderlist, this is a great app for to-do's.

There's a lot of to-do's in this list, I organized everything by the day and what

I have to do, like these are all my to-do lists, like I have a lot and they hardly

ever get accomplished, really great app. Hootsuite - Hootsuite - I can't pronounce

that correctly it's so annoying, um but these are just my Instagram accounts - I have

my Instagram account for photography, and my Instagram account for, well my

@aGirlWithLyme account. This is how I schedule my quotes and also my Photography,

it's really simple, quick, and easy. So yeah, I have some of these to post, I keep

forgetting to post things because I've been kind of busy lately editing scripts,

but those are some things that need to be posted. So that's the first

folder, the second folder we're going into is Photography.

This is some of the Photography apps that I use quite frequently, DesignLab is

something that I use a lot, this is what I use to edit all of my YouTube

thumbnails with, really great, I love this app, yeah so I was making my social media

post notifications which you probably would have seen this video today. So I

use this app to make them. Next one is iMovie. I still have to import my videos

into iMovie after they're all edited because I can't upload it on my computer

because it takes forever, it is so much faster using my iPod so that's why I

still have iMovie on here, and if I make like a short little video that I want to post

then I'll post it. Camera Connect - this is for my camera which I'm filming on now, to

connect to my iPod. The next app I have is Facetune. I think like everybody has this

app, I don't use this to photoshop my face at all - I don't like it for that, it

looks so fake and artificial, I absolutely hate it for that. But what it

is good for is for brightening up the backgrounds in photos, so say if I take a

selfie against a white wall, the wall doesn't really look white - it's dark, so I

will use this app to make the background brighter, I'll make things in pictures

that are white, whiter so that's kind of what I use this app for. Word Swag - I love

this app. This is, basically just, you can type in a text, you can select the photo -

I'll show you, I give you a little demo. I select the marble, crop and then

you'll change your text, and then you can choose, color and different

looking topography. I really love this app, it's really quick and easy for making

Typography posts, especially when I feel kind of lazy and uncreative, so I really like

this one. Layout - this app is by Instagram for collages. So you can put a collage, I

really don't use this one a whole lot anymore.

Next thing Enlight, I don't know how I feel about this app, I kind of like

it, I kinda don't like it - I really don't even use it that much, I think I haven't

even used this since I got my new iPod. Blur Editor. When I make my

YouTube thumbnails this is how I get the background of my thumbnail to look kind

of blurry, so my face and my body is more in focus.

It makes your thumbnails a kind of professional too. Pic Jointer - this is

great because I can select multiple photos for a collage, and then put it in

like 16:9 which is the frame crop for YouTube thumbnails, so whenever you

see a collage on my YouTube thumbnails, I use that app. VUE - I really love

this app because you can make short, little, quick cinematic videos. Steller - I

love this app. Um, this app you can make, um here I'll show you some of the ones I've made -

it's like a little story I guess. These are some of the ones I've made, my

favorite here is the Wild flowers of Nova Scotia, yeah I really love this app,

you can just post photos, and then post the caption to make like photo stories -

that sort of thing, so yeah, that is that app, really great, I love it. Hype Type - I

recently downloaded this, I've only had it for a few days - but if I want to put a

photo, and then photo is there, and you get that little thing - these are great

for Instagram stories. Um, so if you want like a moving text to put in Instagram

stories get this app, you do have to pay to get the watermark to go away, and it's

like four dollars. Next ever we have Typography. I do a lot of Typography, I

have a lot of typography apps, I'm not gonna go into too many of them, there are

ones that I like better, I use Studio, Typorama, UrWall (Unsplash) is where I mainly

get most of my photography backgrounds for making typography, you have some

really, really good photos in here that are really professional, good quality,

they don't look crap, they're always really great, like it looks like an

amazing Instagram feed pretty much. The next one I really like using is Mood, you

just type in the text that you want, and then you can select whatever kind of

style you want it to be. Superimpose - I don't use this a whole lot anymore

but I used to use it a lot - it's good for taking away backgrounds and stuff like

that and superimposing things on one another. But yeah Pixabay is also another app

that's kind of like your UrWall. Pic Lab this is a really good app for

Typography as well, it's the same thing as this app over here DesignLab -

it's from the same creators. I've had both of those apps on my iPod for over three

years now. The next app I have is GIPHY, it's just a bunch of GIFS, everyone

knows that. DeviantArt - you can find backgrounds to use on Typography on

there. You got Canva which is a pretty good app it's just kind of hard to use,

um it's not that it's difficult, it's just that if you want a template you got

to delete everything that's on it unless you want the specific template, but there's not

really a thing to choose like your own design sort of thing. I made this here

Typography quote using this app which not even showing up the text now, but anyways,

yeah I haven't used this too much but it is a nice app, um I think it'd be easier to

use on an iPad though. Over - this is also a great app for typography, you just need

a subscription service to get any of the pro stuff which is like $60 and I'm

debating whether or not I want to spend that much money for subscription service

on an app. Some other apps I use are Vanilla Pen, Word Dream, PicSee, Font Candy,

Photofy, Rhonna, File New, Eraser - this is great if you have a photo and you want

to erase a white background so you have a transparent background, perfect for this, it's free,

works great, doesn't degrade the quality - great app. I use ByeCrop if I have a

photo that I'm going to post, and I want to post a full photo to

Instagram, but of course Instagram crops it - I use this app, it's pretty handy

sometimes. Pic-it-collage - I don't know why I have

that on here I don't really think I've used this a whole lot. Sketches - this is - I

do create some of my Typography backgrounds with this app - if I

really can't find one I like, this is one I created, and haven't saved yet, so

you can see doesn't look the greatest because I'm crap at art, but yeah. Blend

these are all kind of gradient makers, so I can have different backgrounds. Legend

is moving text, so you can just click next, and then you have a bunch of

options for moving text. I was really hoping this could work with Instagram

stories, but it does not so I think I'm just going to have to use this as kind

of like moving typography. Let's move over to entertainment. We have YouTube of

course, I got Netflix of course, I have Roku its like a Roku remote, you can

stream things. I have YouTube studio, which is basically all of my videos on

here, and it shows me - if it loads - it shows me watch time, subscriber change for

the month, and my revenue, how many people have viewed my videos, comments, likes and

all the comments. Rocket Roku - this is a really good app if you have a Roku and

you find a video online say if you're Canadian you go on the CBC website which

is loading right now, and you want to watch a video like you know, Murdoch

Mysteries but you don't want to watch it on a tiny little screen and you want it on your

big nice flat screen - get this app because then you'll be able to play the

video, and then cast it, and yeah it works really well. Next up I have SoundCloud, I

love SoundCloud, it's pretty much the only place where I listen to music, I

deleted Spotify because you need a subscription which I'm too broke to pay

for, so I stuck with SoundCloud - it's much easier, I'm - I like the music on there

better I mean I know Spotify will have - probably have some of the same music, but I

like SoundCloud much better. Patreon, um I haven't even use this app yet because I

am debating whether or not I should even sign up for Patreon. Next I have is Vimeo,

I really like this for watching um, some more kind of cinematic videos, it's

a lot different from YouTube so that's kind of why I like it, it's more

professionally geared and not casually as YouTube is. Indie Shuffle is also a

great way to discover, not kind of undiscovered music and niche music

that I guess isn't mainstream. Ok then we got notes, Google Photos which is just

basically backing up all my photos on my camera roll, which I have like 3,000 of. We got

Pinterest, everyone uses Pinterest. And got Pocket - this is one of my favorite

apps, you can I guess clip and save pretty much any article you find on the

internet, and this is my list, I have a lot of articles. Got Gmail, got Flickr - I

do have a Flickr account for anyone that's wondering, I can't remember user

name - probably just search me up, but yeah, it's basically just whatever photos I

post to my photography Instagram I post to here as well. Ok, over here we have

VSCO. VSCO is probably my favorite app and an app that I absolutely cannot live

without, I edit every single photo using VSCO. I don't know what I would do without

this app, because I have tried various other photo editing apps and they're all

crap, the filters suck so, so bad! This is the only app I will use to edit any

of my photos, hands down best app. If you want photos to look good get this app.

But yeah, here are some of my photos - most of them are unedited because I

really haven't had much time to edit because I've been busy writing scripts for

YouTube, but yeah. I have a lot of photos, these are some of the edited photos. I do have

the VSCOx subscription, because it's honestly something that I - I definitely

would pay for, I can't remember how much I paid for it, but yeah, it's totally worth

it, it is so, so worth it. I love this app. Um and yeah, here's my profile,

I have some pictures from the beach, um some pictures they're just rocks, and

I basically put my best Photography uploaded to here.

Next up over is Instagram, this is my instagram feed, over here is my page you can see, I asked you to ask me

questions for my Q&A, I only got one comment on that I didn't add any tags, I posted that

last night before I went to sleep, so yeah, my Instagram feed. Now we have twitter, we

have Flipboard. Flipboard is a great app to find out news, to kind of share news -

that sort of thing, really great. We got tumblr, everyone knows what tumblr is, we got Snapchat - which I hardly

ever use Snapchat anymore. We got Facebook which is you know pretty

usual, we got Facebook pages which is how I manage my Facebook page, which I really

don't post on much anymore. We got messenger, got messages - which is iMessage.

We got Symptomz which is one of the apps I showed in my Apps for Chronic Illness

video. Next up is utilities which is you know, basically apps that no one

really uses. In this folder we have kind of reading - this folder just says folder but

it's more reading. I have iBooks, I have Goodreads, I have Save Our Seas -

which is a um, I think it's like a magazine kind of thing, and they publish bi-

annual issues, so we got winter and summer, yeah this is just abou the ocean

and stuff. Okay next folder is just other - we have clock, we have Living Earth

which is probably on of the coolest weather apps if I am to be honest, and the

globe on it spins and it's like, so cool - I really love this app, and the weather

is actually pretty accurate on it as well. Next app we have is reminders,

everybody you know uses reminders - I use a lot of them. We have Binaural Sleep -

this is an app that helps me to sleep when I can't sleep, uh we

have Round which is an app that reminds me when to take my medication.

We have Internet traffic. We have Widgets, which is really great because it allows

you to have different - here I'll show you, bring down my Notification Center, and I'll

show you the kind of widgets I have, I have my Living Earth, Planner Pro. I got

news, I got Flipboard, got my Evernote, my pocket, storage - which is from the

widgets, so it tells me how much storage I have on my iPod, my battery - it tells me

how full I am, I got a calculator, it got Network which

tells me how much I've used, which is never accurate.

I have run time, I have VSCO, Mail, Music, Notes,

Wunderlist. So that's kind of all I have in my Notification Center- widgets

sort of thing. And then I have One Password - which is where I keep all my

passwords, and then I got Settings, iTunes Store, App Store, Apple Store, JW library - I

am trying to be a Jehovah's Witness so this why I have this on here. Next is

shopping - I have Amazon, I got Indigo, I got Flipp which is just local fliers, I have

AU mobile which is Artifact Uprising - that's where I got my

photo prints a while ago, and I have the Google Arts and Culture which I really

love looking on this app because you can find so many cool things.Okay so

moving onto games - the first game we have it is solitaire - I've been playing

this a lot when I'm - when I have insomnia at night. Next game I have is a Hexus,

the other game I have is Mahjong, I have mermaids - which is basically - I can't show

you, because every time I keep trying to show you it kicks me out of the

recording, I wish I could show you because I really do like the game, it's

basically you can sing for mermaids, collect coins, buy decorations - it's a

very you know, kind of, probably what a twelve year old would play but I like

playing it, and we have Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries - oh it's just simply

Miss Fisher, um it's kind of a murder mystery and you gotta find out who

killed who, and it's based off of the TV show Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries and

it's such a good game, I'm on the second episode -

which they only have two - but oh my god it is such a good game, I absolutely love

playing it. Uh, the next app I have is IMDB or the Internet Movie Database,

um I use this app a lot to you know, kind of find what movies I want to watch,

read reviews on movies, that sort of thing.

And the next thing I have is the Ocearch Shark Tracker, um if you don't know

what Ocearch is, it's a researching vessel- organization- group, it's a bunch of

scientists that have tagged Great Whites, and other sharks, and other sea critters,

and are tracking their progress - we've actually had um quite a few different

sharks in around Nova Scotia, I think it's this one here - Hilton, so you can

click on the shark that is tagged, and every time it breaches the surface it'll

ping so yeah, this is in around the South

Shore of Nova Scotia here - South 'sure', oh my god I sound so Nova Scotian when I

say that, but yeah - that shark has been hanging around all summer and has been

freaking people out, but it's so funny because I think it's amazing. This is Planoly

which is a really weird name for an app, but anyways this is an app that you can use

kind of plan out your Instagram posts, which I like to use, it's quite visual

so you can see here I have a post already lined up to go, I want to post

this here photo sometime today. Also down at the bottom which I forgot to show you -

I have TextNow - which is basically you can text phone numbers, which you usually

can't do in - on on an iPod, so say my brother has a cellphone,

I could text his cell phone, I can also call any number. I also have Mail, Safari,

and Music. So yeah, that is pretty much what's on my iPod, and if you want to see

my lock screen then here it is. So that's pretty much all the stuff that's on my

iPod. Thank you guys so much for watching this video, please be sure to give it a

thumbs up, subscribe if you're new. Please be sure to hit the notification button

down below to get notified when I upload new videos. All my social media links

will be in the description below, and I hope to see you guys next time, bye!
