plus size thrift haul + try on || mermaidqueenjude [CC] - Duration: 6:59.

Hi mermaids welcome back to my channel,

if you're new here, my name is Jude, hello!

What we're doing today is a plus-size thrift store haul.

Before we start, I'm sorry for my voice

I have been sick for about four days now, and I'm dying uh yes, sorry about that.

Also, sorry about me looking a mess. I'm trying my best okay!

Uh before we get into the actual clothes, I do want to talk about, I guess like my strategies and my tips

for doing plus-sized thrift store shopping.

First things first, uh do not do this on a bad body day

It is not the smartest idea, you will be very upset

do not do this on a day that you're feeling really shitty about your body,

a lot of things are mismarked in thrift stores,

Some things that are your size might not fit you the way that you need them to

Fashion as weird as you know from shopping

So be sure that you are okay.

The second thing is be sure to spend a lot of time at the thrift store

Just because finding those special things, they may be hidden away

They may be in different parts of the store

So you need to make sure that you have time to do this.

The third thing is try things that aren't in your size bracket

So I wear a size 16 currently so I try things in the 13-14 range and the 18 range because again clothing is weird

And if you have any questions about thrift store shopping and things like that be sure to let me know

The first thing I have is this pretty lace babydoll dress paid four bucks for it

it fits really nice

It comes in at the waist and I really like that, and then it just has this like floral

Kind of like lace pattern thing on it. I really enjoy this kind of stuff so.

The next thing I got was this long velvet black maxi,

holy fuck it is so pretty and just so delicate and it has

This... where is it? This like slit on the side of it. I'm just here for it. You know?

I'm ready, paid eleven bucks for it, so it's a little pricier, than everything else that I purchased

But this is also in like really good condition.

Oh my god the next thing

I got was little black cardigan, and it has these little gold details on it

the zipper's cute, and it's made out of this like stretchy

but still kind of like firm material, and I really like it and I paid $8.49 for this

Next thing I got was this.

So this is a silver cardigan

I don't own anything really silver, 'cause I'm not a cold colored person, but this is so cute

It's just a shiny metallic cardigan,

it doesn't have any buttons on it, or a zipper or anything, so just wear it open over whatever you're wearing,

I paid $7.49 for this.

The next thing I got were these dress pants,

if you're anything like me shopping for dress pants is really difficult?

Yes, I got these dress pants, just normal black dress pants with an elastic waistband instead of a button

I really enjoy them

These are priced at $8.49, but I actually got them for half off because of Black Friday, so yes

I love this, the next thing I got was this turtleneck red

sweater crop thing, I'm in love with this

It's so soft, and it's so comfy, and it's slouches very nicely on my body so I got this for six bucks

And I really really really really enjoy it. It's really cute good for Christmas stuff.

The place I work I need to wear black as my uniform,

so I needed some more black clothing. Also. I just like black clothing so I got this

Black sweater crop thing, it's ribbed.

You can like see the ribbing on it. It's really comfy it stretches like

really far so that's nice. I got this for basically five bucks

I really like it, the sleeve stretch too, they have the ribbing which makes my arms comfortable

Which makes me want to cry.

The next thing I got was in the same realm of the red one that I bought

This is another turtleneck sweater thing.

It's much bigger than that first one so it's like

Huge and it could fit me like a dress

I've wanted it to, I probably will wear this with leggings

But this is another one of like the red ones, this one has

Ribbing on the ends, it's made of a soft material as well,

I paid $8.49 for this as well.

Oh I'm really excited, so I just kept finding things that were made out of velvet

And I actually really really enjoy velvet. I just don't own any, so the next thing I got was this

Velvet cranberry shirt, and it's so pretty and so soft, and I like the way

it fits my body, so I'm really excited about this um. Yes, I paid $8.49 for this.

Next thing I got was this forever 21 turtleneck sleeveless sweater

This is again another cranberry

Maroon color, it's a dress comes down to about my knees.

I really like this color

It's not showing up as maroon on camera,

it's just showing up as red, but I really like it, it's comfy, so you know.

The next thing I got -- I like stripes a lot um which you can see from my Instagram feed

Uh, so I got this comfy just this normal comfy striped shirt

It stretches it's black and white.

It's just a basic shirt paid two dollars for it.

The last thing I got was this, long black maxi that has buttons on the front

and a little bit of a slit, so it's really cute

And I really enjoy it and this was $5.49,

but it was on sale so I got for half off, so I got this for basically two dollars

[counting] so one two three four five six seven eight nine ten eleven twelve

So I got

12 things for essentially, $80 which is a steal especially for plus-size clothing so yeah? That's all the stuff

I got um, if you want photos of me wearing these things as I wear them

leave a comment down below

That's all for this video mermaids,

I'm sorry that it wasn't like content filled or like helpful with like social justice stuff,

but I'm extremely extremely sick so, but yeah

I hope you enjoyed that video mermaids,

if you're new here again, my name is Jude

I make new videos every Sunday and Monday

Yeah, if you liked what you saw

And you want to be a part of the mermaid kingdom, all of my social medias are down in the description

Also down below is a subscribe button so go ahead and hit that if you want to see more of my face,

if you want to make sure that you see more of my face you can hit the notification bell right beside it

I want to try to hit 250 subscribers or 300 by the end of the year so can we do it, please?

Thanks umm vlogmas starts next week are you guys excited?

I'm about to go film a vlogmas video as well

I hope you guys are excited. I'm terrified, but it's fine

But yeah, just keep swimming, sigue nadando, and I will see you tomorrow, bye!

MORE DAMAGES? Crash of the E36 at the Rhin Ring - Duration: 18:33.

Oh damn it's cold out here

Interesting

We'll see that later

Hi, New vlog in real life, has been a long time

Today, what are we gonna do: things

Awesome

You might remember the crash the last time at the Rhin Ring

We are here to see what happened next

You might remember that i said there were esthetical damages but no mechanical damages

And lastly, i saw something

So the car is here

obvious

We see here, kicked in the butt

I placed a cardboard under the car

So why, it's fairly easy to guess i think

For this

I have bad news, and we'll see them

So, i don't know if you see well

Just behind the dry pipe

We see there are some marks of humidity

On this one, here

It means it's either oil or something viscous

So, considering that pipe is just under the power steering jar

We might eventually think the jar is leaking

So what we're gonna do, we're gonna call my mechanic

To find out what's the problem and eventually find other issues

Hello?

- Hi Jimmy, how are you going

- I'm fine, how are you?

- I'm okay. Listen,

I found a little problem on the car

It's a leak below the power steering jar

I have a fully oily carboard

There's oil leaking on the pipes below that jar

So i wanted to know: do you think it comes from that jar or from somewhere else?

- So, you should give a look at that jar first

Because if there's not much left, if it's almost empty,

Then it means it is leaking

You should apply some brake cleanser on it to localise where it comes from

Now, what's the oil color?

- Well that oil color is not looking like transmission oil

which should have a bit of red in it

It doesn't look like red but black oil, so that's why i'm doubting

And, did you clean up the engine bay with some high pressure water?

- High pressure water?

- Yeah, pretty much warm water in the wash stations, you see?

Dry it, and you'll see where the oil leak comes from

- Okay, so apart of that

I'd like to know, to avoid some problems later, to anticipate

Know what i should check on the car to avoid future problems

The crash was on the front right wing, so could it be possible that the lower arms or coilovers would be dead now?

- Well, you should check first your wheel alignment (already done)

- Okay

- Check your wheel angles, all that, also if your shockers are crooked

But how did the car feel in drift after the crash?

- Well it didn't have any weird feel, it was like before

- So, the mechanical part might not have been taking the damage?

- I don't think so no.

So the essentials to check would be shockers, lower arms, see if there's wheel gap also

- You have to change your lower arms anyway

I recommand you to change them every year or so

- Alright

Apart of that, did you receive a package i sent you having the new wings in it?

- Yeah yeah, exactly, i received your wings, they're ready

Just the paint missing now

- Okay

Well, awesome

Thank you Jimmy

- That's nothing

- And i'll see you next time, thanks again

- No problems

- Yeah, see you Jimmy

Okay so let's start by the lower arms

Tah-dah

Alright so here we have the shockers and springs

And here we have the lower arms, just below

Well they're a bit old, but that's normal, they're stock

Also i checked the wheels and there's a gap

It might come from the shocker because we replaced the lower arms too soon for them to be dead already

Yeah i know they're old, but they were still replaced

#You know what happened

So that's also why here the wing is totally dead

But voila, so

Let's see if it's bent or not here

Doesn't look like so

Maybe here, no

So the lower arms too are not looking like they suffered

The bushing is still here

So, it's pretty cool

Here you see that oil leak and viscous things i was talking about

I won't be able to do what jimmy told me to right now

Because i don't have warm high pressure water or brake cleanser here

Here you see there's a problem, it should be dry

So pretty good news in general, i mount the wheel back, do the same on the other side and move on

lol

Okay so give a look at this

That gauge, the minimum is the line above

On that gauge there's no matter

Look at the power steering oil color

Yeah, it's gray, and should be transparent

So voila, we know what the problem is

It is power steering

It's not a huge problem, but it's still something

We'll have to replace it and replace other things

Also some upgrades, but i'll talk more about that later

Anyway, in my talk with Jimmy you might have heard we'll replace the wings

Eventually the bumper too, look at the bumper mount

We'll put back a new blinker

And here there's a light to put in

Right now we'll put back the light, the old one is completely broken

Ahhh, yes

Finally

Has been long, has been long

Discover this car again please

(there's paper flying) Right n-

(there's paper flying) Motherf****r right now

it's in

Let's clean it, too dirty for me

Now just to be sure it'll stay in

We do this

Rilsan life

( Having a hard time to connect the light )

Connected now

That's funny

Here there's two, here one

Here two, here one, lol

Now let's put that blinker in

I don't know if it'll get in but i'm gonna try

Let's remove the light already

So the light has a broken mount, have to do it another way now

We'll do a hole to put rilsans because rilsan life

We do with what we have, okay

So what can we do with rilsans now

Yeah, i see i see

It's not especially beautiful but it's in

I mean, i just wannna have a blinker, working or not

Blinkers are a bit useless in drifting anyway

Uh i'll need a third rilsan

Not moving anymore now, alright

Starting to look good

Wait it's not starting it's my final result

Now

We close the hood and see if it's good or not

Oh yeah, and that, i forgot to remove it

Let's do it right now

Or maybe not, 18 is my birthday number, soo, soo

wups

What i prefer on this car i think is the way it looks from the rear.

It's just amazing

Your mother

( Tanguy in post-production apologizes )

Looks pretty good now

sorry

Okay so yesterday we worked on the car

Today we go at our mechanic to go get some things, including solutions to our problems

Here's the building of the giant, the temple

And here are the wheels, 17" wheels

So why do we take 17" wheels, well i feel like with 16" i'm not having enough grip

My mechanic, Jimmy, has the kindness to lend me these awesome wheels, right

And here we have a power steering jar. Just to see if we can solve that leak on the car

So voila, we should have 4 wheels of these including 2 already mounted on 225/45/17

So awesome, already perfect

And i look forward to see how it'll change on track

Look at that, personnaly i love the paint

And look at that engine

So in Jimmy's car there's a M5 engine in an e30

Good vibes dude

Man, how beautiful is that engine

I'd like to have it for the next season

It's a 3.8L M5 engine producing 340hp i believe

So it's a bit powerful you know

Looks at these freaking wheels, they're so stylish

Also give a look at what's in his garage, what he received

The new wings. So they're not painted already, but we have projects

It won't be right now but still it's coming

Don't break, good boy

Okay so we're back at home

The car is all the way in the garage, we're coming

I figured out something, we'll start the car, you'll easily figure it out too

You'll see

Look if i turn the wheel

This is weak power steering

So what we'll do considering i don't have the tools and experience to replace

The power steering jar

I'll put more oil in first and then see if something changes

The level didn't change, there's nothing on this

Let's see if we put more in

Which is a bit hard

You have to know how to pour bear

Alright i'm in

Ohh it's hard to do

Okay i stop here, let's see now

If i didn't put too-

Okay i dropped it

It's on the steering rack

Yay!

That guy struggling just to put power steering oil

Come on

We're good i have it

*Quality FX*

Adventures with Tanguy

Now, we put it back without dropping it

Okay, we have a result guys

We're almost at the minimum level

Should be good now

Okay, now let's see what it does if i start the car

It's less loud now

Voila, the level is here

We're just above the minimum

We'll stay here, considering it's leaking anyway, so voila

Also, i found another blinker in my garage

It's a bit damaged but we don't care for drifting

We'll put it here, and the only problem is

here is where we got the impact, so it's bent

I don't know if the blinker will get in

Voila

So the final result is here

Here it's not perfect, we're okay about it, it's far from perfection

So here it's pretty much good

here

Voila

Alright, so the final touches are done.

The car is here, it's ready

We come to the goal of this video now

Why did i do these fixes so quickly, having not enough time, temporary fixing

Well, it's pretty simple

If you think about it you'll get it

If you wanna see how the 17" wheels look on this car i invite you to stay tuned

You can subscribe if you wanna be part of the adventure, to see how this car will evolve

Which will have a lot of upgrades in the future, i hope making it unique

So, the power belongs to all, see you

Can you use Plus P ammo in your SCCY CPX - Duration: 2:49.

Hello folks this Yamil Sued for the SCCY Network

and today we are going to answering some viewer questions

one of the viewers asked us

can you shoot Plus P ammunition

in the SCCY Pistol

well

that is a difficult one, because it is yes and no.

the factory recommends that you do not

steady diet of Plus P ammunition

in your Pistol..um

but they do not say don't

what I would recommend is

well.. Plus P actually means

more pressure is not that the ammunition is

better or worst it just has more pressure

there are several kinds of ammunition

out there premium ammunition that is

specifically created for small hand guns like this one.

and it's

equally effective and even sometimes

very well rated for a defence kind of ammunition

what I would recommend that is for

practice or fun you use

something like American eagle

115 grain

or 124..147..they do make American eagle

in different weights

so..simple closer to the ammo you are going to shoot

for example this is the 115

they make a 124...and 147

So

get some great practice ammo. like I said American eagle

and federal also make

HST Premium ammunition

in..for both standard and

9mm pistols and for micro pistols

which means this specifically designed

For...

short barrels like the SCCY pistol

and also what is important is

this is not Plus P this is standard

pressure ammunition so you could shoot this ammo

to your hearts content and you really don't

need the super duper Plus P ammo

there is a lot good Plus P ammo out there

So

I am not saying is bad but..

but the factory dose not recommend

that you use it that much so umm

yeah I really recommend the Federal HXT

this one is the 124 which is for standard pistols

and this one here is the 150 grain which is the

micro pistol, so you know a really good

effective ammunition specifically disigned

for a pistol like the SCCY Pistol and you are not going to be beating it up

with high pressure ammunition

Thank you for watching. Thank you for your questions

Please keep asking questions, that is the only way

we know what you want to watch.

so please stay tuned to the SCCY Network for more info on your pistol.

AMAZON PLUS SIZE MINI HAUL TRY ON - Duration: 4:39.

Hi BeauTs is TMarie welcome back to my channel today I'm going to be showing

you some clothes I got off of Amazon I am in online shopping poor ok I never go

to store to buy anything I even started buy my groceries online and picking them

up I want suddenly hate buying clothes online wanted to try and I'd ride the

wish hall it was a fail you could see if you hadn't seen it well so then I move

on to Amazon and although Amazon is a little more expensive than the wish app

you can still find affordable things so I want to show you this is like a mini

haul I wanted to just buy a couple of things if I liked it and then I might do

a major haul for you guys it's just shirts and it's only three t-shirts and

really one is kind of a dress so I'm gonna kind of do like a little lookbook

for you guys but not really is I'm not into like fashionista I'm just more into

like what's comfortable but still looks decent enough to go to my son's school

if I have to if you're interested into seeing these clothes then keep on

watching also if you're new to my channel don't forget to hit the

subscribe button below and you want to come back and see me and hit that Bell

it will let you know when I upload another video and yeah let's get crackin

okay so in American sizes I am about a 2x ish

and I say ish because all clothes are different I have ranges from extra-large

all the way to 3x and then if you want to get into the wish stuff for like 5 &

6 X because agent sizes I'm not gonna round it off to like 2 eggs it I find a

2 X I can normally no it's gonna fit me so with shopping online that's what I

went for I found out I'm very very very busty that's probably the biggest part

of me it's my breasts that's why the wish clothes did not fit me so this

first piece is what I'm wearing I was already wearing when I started the film

I feel like it's long enough that you especially if you're a little less busty

it might go and down a little shorter you're probably get away with just

wearing it as a dress however I'm just more comfortable using it with leggings

yeah it's very good I love that has pockets because I always get stuck

wearing things that hot pockets like this is buy it from us clothing again

just kind of have the same as the black one it's very thin obviously you're

gonna probably want it an undershirt you can see I have a dark bra on you can see

my bra whatever it's very comfortable the

material is super soft and I've already worn it fake this week and I love it

okay this next piece is by urban cocoa skin it has pockets so I love that and

it's so funny because when I first put these shirts on my husband's like you

have their shirts on backwards and they're like no I don't

henan understand the idea a tunic definitely had a great shopping

experience with Amazon they were really fast which is a plus from which like

yeah I'm gonna pay a little bit more but they're American sizes at least these

are from these company order last week and they're here so I'm really excited I

need some new shirts because I just got a bunch of legging and I needed some

tunics so yeah I definitely recommend checking out shopping on Amazon and they

also have a period of time where you can return them if they don't fit of course

but urban cocoa and through my clothing fit very true to size for me

everybody's body shape is different but I hope you enjoyed it and because these

work so well I probably will make me another purchase around Christmas time

and I'm gonna try and branch out some more like pants and oh yeah I hope you

enjoyed this video I just want to let plus-size girls know where they can shop

online because it is hard and it's gonna be hard for every girl to be honest but

especially plus-sized or especially any kind of curve I mean even if you're not

Plus off and you have like more bust or more booty that's gonna be hard to find

clothes that fit it just it is and so that is why I'm on the hunt just

watching these videos I'm out to tell you what my personal experience is with

shopping online thank you again for watching and until next time bye y'all

Insight plus: Part 3 – Global Warming - Duration: 11:17.

Welcome to BBC Learning English dot com and another chance to hear Insight Plus - a series,

first broadcast in 2001 that looks at the language of issues you hear about in the news.

The earth is in danger.

And some say the greatest threat is global warming.

Today, in Insight Plus Lyse Doucet looks at the language used to report on global warming.

Global warming is the steady increase in the earth's temperature.

More and more scientists believe that is what's causing chaotic weather around the world – the

hurricanes, droughts, storms, high tides that are striking more and more countries.

The earth has never been hotter.

Its average temperature is now the highest since scientists began measuring it 600 years

ago.

Since the middle of the 19th century, global temperatures have risen by 0.5 degrees Celsius.

That may not sound like much but the difference between our temperature and an ice age is

only about six degrees.

The earth has seen major changes in climate before.

But most scientists agree this period is different.

Many believe the present changes are caused by our own activities, by the way we live.

If that doesn't change, many forms of life on our planet may not survive.

In November 2000, delegates from more than 150 countries gathered in The Hague in the

Netherlands to discuss how to combat global warming.

There was great disagreement, mainly between the United States and other industrialised

nations, about what could and should be done.

But everyone agreed on the need for action based on mounting scientific evidence that

humans are to blame.

The evidence is stacking up, pointing towards mankind playing a very important part of that

in fluence, and that's something we couldn't have said three or five years ago.

The calculations are certainly suggesting that global warming is more important than

we thought.

We know the earth is a hotter place.

And it's caused by the build-up of greenhouse gases like carbon monoxide and methane.

Like the glass on a greenhouse, these gases let in the sun's heat but they stop it from

getting out.

So the surface of the earth slowly becomes warmer.

These gases have always existed naturally in the earth's atmosphere.

But we are now burning more and more fossil fuels – we're using more oil and coal,

and wood too as we cut down more trees.

We're now increasingly confident that a large part of the warming that we've seen over the

past 50 years or so is down to human activity - this burning of fossil fuels, increases

of carbon dioxide and methane and so on.

The evidence is stacking up, pointing towards mankind playing a very important part of that

influence, and that's something we couldn't have said three or five years ago.

It's our cars, our workplaces, even in our homes - everywhere we use energy - is releasing

or emits gases so the greatest polluters are the most industrialised countries.

The United States, for example, in the year 2000, was emitting nearly a quarter of the

world's greenhouse gases, but it only has about four per cent of the world's population.

It's under growing pressure from the rest of the world to find ways to cut its emissions.

And it's not just the United States.

In 1997, in Kyoto, Japan, more than 100 countries signed a protocol or agreement to cut their

greenhouse gas emissions.

We'll hear just what was in that protocol from Corinne Podger of the BBC's science

unit - listen out for the word emissions in the phrase emission of gases - which gases

are being released?

The Kyoto Protocol emerged from the UN Conference on Climate Change held three years ago in

Japan.

Parties to the protocol agreed to reduce emissions of gases like carbon dioxide and methane,

which are thought to contribute to global warming.

Initially, industrialised countries were to aim for a reduction of five percent below

1990 levels, with further reductions to be agreed in 2012.

The Kyoto Protocol was an historic statement on the need for action.

The most in dustrialised or developed countries like the United States, Europe and Japan were

all parties to this protocol – they all agreed to take action.

But developing nations also accepted they will have to play a role in the fight against

global warming.

In a moment, we'll hear how difficult it has been to implement the historic Protocol.

But it was a start, as this report from the BBC's Corrine Podger points out.

Initially, industrialised countries were to aim for a reduction of five percent below

1990 levels, with further reductions to be agreed in 2012.

One of the key groups advising the UN on global warming is the Intergovernmental Panel on

Climate Change, or IPCC.

Its secretary, Narasimhan Sundararaman, says Kyoto marked a turning point in the political

acceptance of global warming.

It's a very important psychological first step, and it also acknowledges the fact that

perhaps human beings are beginning to interfere with the climate system, and that some action

seems to be necessary.

To have taken an action of this kind is very courageous, and to have legally binding commitments

of the kind that were really arrived at in Kyoto, I think that's a milestone in environmental

agreements.

Kyoto is described as a milestone, or major turning point, in the way many governments

looked at the issue of global warming.

Scientists have been expressing concern for many decades, governments took longer to be

convinced.

While they continue to debate the issue, global warming is causing more and more damage to

our world.

As the earth gets warmer, all of the natural world is affected.

Birds and animals are migrating northwards and native plants seed and start to grow elsewhere.

Mosquitoes which carry the malaria virus are living longer than expected.

Mountain glaciers and ice caps at the North and South Poles are melting, threatening the

lives of communities, marine life and aquatic birds like the penguins.

And as oceans warm, sea levels rise and threaten to flood some low lying countries.

Global warming endangers the planet earth as we know it and more and more people are

getting worried.

The health of the world is the subject of today's Insight Plus from the BBC World

Service - your guide to the language and background to the stories that stay in the news.

We heard that the 1997 Kyoto protocol was an international agreement to cut (that means

reduce) greenhouse emissions but the agreement still has to be ratified, or approved by member

governments before it can come into effect.

Our next extract looks at some of the problems it's facing.

After Kyoto, many governments refused to ratify the Protocol, complaining that it wasn't clear

how the rules on emission reductions would be implemented, nor how much the necessary

changes to industry and agriculture would cost.

Those details should be formalised at this year's conference in The Hague - and after

that, environmental campaigners hope that in dividual governments will go ahead with

ratification.

But Friends of the Earth spokeswoman Rhoda Verheyen says the Protocol as it stands won't

be enough to keep the world's temperatures down.

Countries have to agree to much, much deeper cuts, up to 80% of greenhouse gas emissions

must be reduced, and we have to phase out fossil fuels to prevent dangerous climate

change.

And even if the scientists can't tell us this is, this is exactly how much you have to reduce

today, they can tell us that we are changing the climate, and they have done so repeatedly

since 1996, so we have to stop doing this, otherwise we will see devastating effects

all over the world.

Many scientists believe the reductions in the Kyoto protocol are far too low to make

a difference and some countries are trying to find loopholes, ways of avoiding these

cuts.

The United States, for example, says it can create Carbon Sinks.

In other words it will plant more forest which will absorb Carbon Dioxide.

Dan Modell of the Environmental group 'Future Force' explains how it works

'Carbon sinks' is a term that has just recently cropped up and the idea is that trees,

forests as they grow, do something very positive which they change carbon dioxide, greenhouse

gas into oxygen and wood.

So by recreating forest cover the idea is that you can soak up greenhouse gases.

Environmental campaigners believe cuts aren't enough.

They're calling for drastic changes in our lifestyles, especially in the richer nations.

This would in clude switching away from fossil fuels to sources of energy which are less

harmful to the environment, like solar power, or fuels made from plants known as biofuels.

This is especially important in the industrialised nations which are the biggest consumers of

energy and therefore the biggest polluters.

Let's listen to Dr Rashmi Mayur, who is the Director of the International Institute

of a Sustainable Future in Bombay India.

There is no doubt at all because if you look at Europe and Japan, Australia and New Zealand

and Canada they are responsible for almost fifty per cent of the problem and the United

States is responsible for about twenty three per cent of the problem of carbon released

in the atmosphere and there has been no relief at all since the Kyoto Protocol in 1997.

The situation is worsening.

The changes are coming much faster than we expected.

Everyone has to play a part.

Do so many people need to drive cars?

Could we heat our homes more efficiently and industries also need to be persuaded to try

more efficient, less harmful sources of energy.

The UN Secretary General Kofi Annan is urging them to change.

You must give a convincing signal to the private sector that reducing greenhouse gas emissions

will pay.

Once businessmen and women are convinced of that, we can rely on them to come up with

new eco-friendly technologies which will in turn generate jobs and other opportunities.

Until now corporations have profited by polluting the environment, in future we must make sure

they have an incentive to clean it up.

Our hotter world is a hot political topic and that shouldn't be surprising when the

future of planet earth is now at stake.

Today on Insight Plus we've looked at the issue of global warming.

It's clear the earth's average temperature has never been hotter.

And we've heard how more and more scientists believe the way we live, especially in richer

nations, is to blame.

Governments now recognise this.

But there is still great disagreement about what can and should be done to reduce our

emissions of greenhouse gases – the gases released by all the energy we use to drive

our cars, to heat our homes and to run our factories.
