Two Men Rob ATM Customer and Steal His Car: First Person Defender| S5 E10 - Duration: 16:19.

- If at all possible, just give

us all of the money you took out of there.

Just all the money you took out of there.

- Y'all need to go.

- [Barret] Man, look. - Come on.

- [Red Short] Man, I'm just trying to.

- Whoa, man! Whoa! (gunshots)

- Stay down! (gunshots)

- Drop. Drop. Drop.

- [Announcer] Welcome to the First Person Defender.

- What are you shooting for?

- [Announcer] Where regular people come face to face

with unknown attackers in real world scenarios,

and fight their way out. - Put it down!

(gunshots)

- [Announcer] This is First Person Defender.

- [Narrator] Brian grew up hunting,

and he used to have a carry permit.

When he moved out of state, he didn't get a new one.

He has no real training with

firearms or personal protection.

Brian's work has him on the road much of the time.

This force on force training uses real firearms

converted to fire marking cartridges.

The crew wears yellow shirts,

and are considered to be invisible to role players.

Anyone who has used an ATM machine

knows how vulnerable you can feel.

Brian is told to take money out of the ATM.

And right off the bat, he runs into double trouble.

- Hurry up, man.

- Okay, hold on.

- Hurry up. - I forgot my PIN, okay?

I'm sorry.

- Come on, it doesn't take that long.

Thanks.

- Hey man, did you actually get it to work?

- Yeah, it worked.

- Okay, because actually I just stood up there a second ago,

couldn't actually get anything out of it.

- Maybe it's outta money, I don't know.

You might want to go inside the bank.

- Nah, I tried it a couple times.

I still couldn't get it to work,

but you got it to work, right?

- Yeah, I got it to work.

- Man, do you mind if I just have a couple dollars?

- Man, I don't-- - I don't want all your money.

Just a couple dollars.

I couldn't get anything out, I'm thirsty.

I'm just gonna go right over there

to get something to drink.

- Just go back in the bank, they'll help you out.

(eerie violin)

- Give me a couple dollars.

Come on, man, just give me a couple dollars.

- Look, it ain't worth that. - Man.

- [KJ] Give him the money.

- Whoa, man, whoa.

Hey man, what are you doing?

- You put my money back, and you get out.

- Man, here.

(intense drums)

Where you at, Kevin?

Help me out, man. - It's okay, I got you.

- Come on, man, help me out.

- Hey, I'm here.

- I don't know why he's got a gun out, still.

- Whoa, whoa, buddy.

- Get back.

- He already proved

he ain't gonna use it. - You got the money, go.

- I see you shaking there, you ain't gonna use it.

My hands are in the air, how you gonna explain that one?

- Give me the keys to your truck.

- Get back. - Dude, get the keys.

- They're in the truck.

(car door opens) - All right, get in.

- All right, let's go.

- [Chris] End Ex, End Ex, End Ex.

- Well, tell me how that made you feel.

- That's a pretty nerve-wracking event

when you've got two people trying you corner you up.

- Breathe. (Brian laughs)

Breathe, I can see you shaking.

Breathe. - Even though, you know,

it's not real, it's real.

When you've got two people coming at you,

you're trying to keep a idea

what's going on in both situations.

- Well, tell me how it all went down.

Explain it to me from your eyes.

- From my eyes, I had a disgruntled guy

telling me to rush the ATM which didn't help anyway.

Then he wanted my money,

saying he couldn't get it outta there.

I told him to get back and all that.

Well, after that, he still pursued me.

He actually flashed a gun, knew that he meant business.

As I felt like things were escalated,

that's when I pulled mine just so that

at least I would have the front draw.

I just told him take the money,

I don't want anything, just get back.

- How'd you get the opportunity to draw your gun?

- I don't know. (Brian laughs)

- You don't remember?

- It was after he had flashed his,

I think it might have been after I'd thrown the money

and distracted him somewhat. - You did.

You don't remember that, that much, huh?

It takes a second to come back.

- I remember trying to distract

so that he's seeing something else,

but I couldn't remember how long

after I'd actually thrown it.

You know, you get fogged when you're having

two different point-of-views you're having to watch.

- So it kept you from having

tunnel vision on one person, right?

Because you had to keep watching two.

So, I firmly believe that if you could

articulate that you thought you were

in imminent danger of serious bodily harm or death,

I think that you probably could have shot the armed guy.

I'm glad that you didn't,

because I don't know that I would have.

I think that you got lucky.

They got into the truck, and they were gonna leave.

And that was a great way for it to end.

You did so much stuff right.

(funky music)

(heavy rock music) (gunshots)

- You've probably heard of two to the body

one to the head, or the Failure Drill.

Well, here's one that's a little different.

It's the Zipper Drill.

We've talked about it before on the show,

but basically what you do is,

as you start shooting at the body,

you keep shooting as you work your way up to the head.

And you can kind of see that pattern here.

So let's shoot the Zipper Drill.

Today we're using a Smith & Wesson SD9.

It's great value priced gun, and it really runs.

(loads gun)

So we're gonna come out on target,

and start from the body and work our way up.

(gunshots)

The Zipper Drill. (clears gun)

Start out slowly, work your way going a little faster.

Don't get caught with your fly down.

(slow motion gunshots)

- We've got two different bad guys here,

and you said this is kind of where he flashed his gun.

When he flashes a gun, it's probably,

probably the best time to draw and fire.

Now what are you gonna do about him though?

- I don't know, because I don't know if he's armed.

He never flashed anything.

- Now, if you draw on him and he continues to move forward.

If he aggresses on you, that may be a time to shoot.

This guy's gonna triangulate you and go over there.

Do we know if he's armed?

- We don't know.

- No, we don't.

What might happen if you shoot him?

- He may draw on me.

- What else might happen?

- They may run away.

- Yeah, what'll they likely do?

- Run away. - Run away, yeah likely,

but it doesn't mean it's gonna happen.

He flashes a gun. Draw.

Now, start moving.

See what you're doing, backing up.

You're gonna lose sight of him.

Where did I tell you to go?

- This way. - This way,

so start working your way around here.

Tell them to get away from you.

- Get away.

Get back.

- Don't make me shoot you, that kind of stuff.

Keep moving, get out of here.

At some point, and this is something

that I cannot teach you.

I cannot tell you what to do, but at some point,

when you're backed into that corner,

and you're triangulated by a guy that

as a known threat has a gun on him,

and somebody else that we don't know if they have a gun.

You've gotta make the decision

when and when not to shoot, okay?

It worked out this time.

It worked out, and I tell you what,

you just don't know what you're gonna get.

I cannot tell you to shoot.

I cannot tell you not to shoot.

You have to be able to articulate

the fact and circumstances.

When he reached for a gun, when his hands go near,

if his hands go from here down to there,

even if he's just bending over.

I don't know that he's not drawing, reaching for a gun.

I don't know what he's doing.

That's on you, and that's for everybody watching

needs to make that decision.

- [Announcer] First Person Defender brought to you by

Ruger, Gun Dealio, Simunition, and Smith & Wesson.

(heavy rock music) (gunshots)

- [Greg] So Brian's at the ATM machine.

There's two unsavory characters milling about

like they're waiting in line.

All right, if that spidey sense kicks off,

every ATM machine, if you hit that cancel button

it spits your card back out.

There's no reason you can't casually

hit that ATM, that cancel button on the ATM,

take your card out.

What the (bleep)? No balance?

(bleep) wife, and storm off.

Well now you've got no money that they can rob you of,

and now they're dealing with a (bleep) off dude.

They may not want to go that way.

But if it doesn't work out that way

you get your money out, they start approaching you,

draw that line in the sand.

You've gotta get firm.

You've gotta be careful, it's a delicate situation,

because there's two of them and one of you.

Don't stand there and argue with them.

Start moving to your vehicle.

Get firm, Get aggressive with them.

If you see his buddy start to flank you,

you don't need to be in the FBI to realize that

that is a clue for something bad fixing to happen.

The second his buddy starts walking off line

and trying to flank you, get your gun out.

Get the (bleep) back over there, now.

Don't (bleep) move.

If this guy starts going at guns,

you're gonna have to engage him.

(gunshots)

And track.

Get your (bleep) hands up, now.

All right watch his buddy, make sure he's down.

You can get out your phone, call 9-1-1

and wait for the cops to arrive,

but don't let them flank you.

Don't let them get that advantage on you.

You've gotta control the terms of the fight.

(heavy metal music) (slow motion gunshots)

- Here's a nice concealed carry package for you.

The Springfield Armory XD(M) Compact 3.8

topped off with the XS sights.

F8 night sights has a big old orange dot on the front,

which I love.

So let's talk about front sight focus.

I was at a class, and he said,

"Are you focusing on your front sight?"

And the guy next to me said,

"Yeah, I'm focusing on my front sight.

Front to me, right?"

No, no, front to the target.

So that's what we want to concentrate on.

So what that's gonna look like is

you get a hard focus on that front sight.

The rear sight will be kind of a soft focus,

and the target will actually be a soft focus.

So as you do that, (gunshots)

you're gonna make accurate hits.

And what you wanna do is practice this enough

where it becomes second nature.

When the gun comes up, the front sight

is what's in focus for you.

(gunshots)

- [Narrator] In the first scenario, Brian reacted slowly

and let the situation go from bad to worse.

Let's see how he handles it after getting some training.

- Is it working?

- Yeah, it's working.

- I had a lot of trouble with it a minute ago.

I'm gonna try again. - Yeah.

- Hey buddy, did it work well for you?

- Yeah, it worked.

- Because I couldn't get it to work for me.

- Well, you need to step back, okay?

- I'm over here. - Hey, come on, man.

- Y'all get back.

- It's working though, right?

- It's working-- - Why are you yelling at me?

- Get back. - I asked you about the ATM.

Why are you yelling at me?

- Come on, man, seriously we couldn't get it to work.

- Well, just go inside-- - If at all possible,

just give us all the money you took out of there.

Just all of the money you took out of there.

- Y'all need to go.

- Man, look. - Come on.

- I'm just trying to...

Whoa, man!

(gunshots)

He shot at us, man, he's got a gun.

(intense drums)

- You all right?

(Barret groans)

You all right?

9-1-1. - [Barret] He shot me.

- I've just, attempted robbery at the ATM.

I've shot somebody, he's still up.

- You shot me, man. - Get on the ground, now.

On the ground. (Barret groans)

Get on the ground. - What are you, oh man.

- Drop the gun.

Drop it.

- Oh man, you shot me.

Why'd you shoot me? - Drop the gun.

(Barret groans)

(gunshots)

(intense drums)

- [Chris] All right, End Ex, End Ex, End Ex.

What happened?

- Well, they approached me after attempting

to get money from the ATM.

Again, they wanted my money.

I saw this guy, he had his hand down.

I told them, they needed to get back, they didn't get back.

I couldn't really see this guy's hands.

So that's when I felt like

it was worth presenting the firearm.

He drew, so I fired two shots, I believe.

And he came around the side of the vehicle

while the other guy ran.

I moved to allow better cover,

but where I could still see him through the glass.

When he came back around, I ordered him down on the ground,

but he still had his pistol,

and there was one moment, he kinda came like this.

And that's when I fired, I think, two more rounds at him.

- And I did see that, I saw that.

Now when you first shot him, the first time,

you shot really quickly.

Tell me what was in your mind when you shot at that moment?

- Well, he had his gun,

so I was quick to get on him before he got on me.

That's how I saw it.

- I saw it different, but I wasn't there.

I saw the gun in his hand when he came around the truck,

but to you it looked like a draw.

That's your story.

And what you saw is what you saw,

and maybe as you go back through it

and you watch camera video footage of it,

you'll say yeah, you know what it already was in his hand.

But does it make a difference?

Does it mean you should change your story?

You better not.

You did what you did because of the threat you perceived.

Now when you came over here, I've got one problem.

You kept wanting to get closer and closer and closer.

One guy already ran off, and you broke cover.

That guy had a gun, and you broke cover.

- I was trying to be able to see if he still had the gun.

- Does it matter?

You know why I didn't have you shoot

during the train up, right?

Because you're the one that has to make

the decision when you shoot.

I can't tell you what's a good shoot and what's a bad shoot,

because everybody's view and everybody's vision

and angle on the situation is gonna be different,

but you're the one.

You're the one, brother, don't let them get you.

NYPD Cop Drives Smart Car Onto Pedestrian Filled Sidewalk - It Did Not Go Well - Duration: 1:47.

We do not know the nature of the emergency, or if there was an emergency at all.

"HOPEFULLY HE HAD AN EMERGENCY CALL.

BUT, NO IDEA.

IT'S A DANGEROUS TIME, KIDS WALK AROUND, AND CHILDREN, PARENTS…I'M JUST HAPPY TO

HEAR THAT NO ONE GOT HURT."

But residents in Borough Park, Brooklyn want an explanation for this; an NYPD Officer,

driving his marked department "Smart Vehicle" onto the sidewalk Wednesday afternoon…lights

and sirens blaring, at a high enough speed that he startled pedestrians…including a

man who had to pull back a young girl – out of the car's path - just in the nick of

time.

Keep in mind this happened at a busy time of the day – at around 3:15p…in this predominantly

Orthodox Jewish neighborhood - buzzing with activity, and traffic.

We asked the NYPD about its policy regarding vehicles using sidewalks in an emergency,

what kind of emergency prompted the use of the sidewalk in this case, and any information

about the officer…who residents tell us works out of the NYPD's 66th Precinct, and

usually spends his days issuing traffic and parking tickets.

But a department spokesperson would only tell us,

We are aware of the video.

This incident is under internal review.

"I'D BE PETRIFIED IF I'D SEEN SOMETHING LIKE THAT HAPPEN.

AND I'M STANDING OUT THERE.

SHOULD BE ILLEGAL – HE SHOULD BE A LOT MORE CAREFUL."

2019 Audi A8: First Look in L.A. — Cars.com - Duration: 2:42.

when it comes to shear technology few cars are as anticipated as the

redesigned out ea8 a flagship sedan that Audi says is the world's first

production car that can drive itself and monitor your surroundings in certain

situations but not yet for the US market we'll get to that last part in a minute

but let's start with styling the a8 is a bit of a conservative redesign it's not

this kind of revolutionary new styling more of a progression of what we've

already seen from Audi especially on the a4 this is a six sided grille right here

it sits low similar to the last a eight grill but it's got a little more

edginess to it you come around to the inside and there's a lot that's changed

if the exterior changes seem gradual the inside has some significant differences

here we'll start with all the screens there's about a 10 inch screen up here

and a secondary screen sits down below it and that essentially takes the place

of outies traditional multimedia interface knob based system it should

make for more natural controls here since it's a touchscreen with things

like apple carplay and android auto smartphone compatibility but I gotta say

we're never fans of automakers just kind of taking physical controls and just

burying them into either capacitive touch buttons or even just touchscreen

sub menus and it looks like the new AAA does a lot of that there's just a lot of

important functions to your climate control heated seats those are all

buried into sub menus now even the fan registers up here those are capacitive

touch as well I don't know we'll have to drive it and play around with it a lot

to see if it really works now any top-shelf luxury sedan has to have tons

of rear seat room and that's certainly the case with this a8l here at the Auto

Show I'm about 6 feet tall that's where I would sit to drive as you can see just

tons of space left over here controls for things like reclining and moving

forward and backwards in the rear seat similar to what you see in the BMW

7-series there's a little tablet here that comes out that actually has a lot

of controls on that for things like heated seats so on and so forth now as

far as self driving everything we talked about in the introduction here

howdy says this is the first production car with level 3 autonomy that means it

can drive itself and monitor your surroundings at speeds up to 37 miles

per hour on highways with a physical barrier between you and oncoming traffic

that's thanks to a couple dozen ultrasonic laser radar and

amaura sensors over all and it's part of a feature called traffic jam pilot now

unfortunately US regulations mean that traffic jam pilot in its full form won't

necessarily be able to make it yet out he's still in talks with regulators to

figure that out so stay tuned we'll know a lot more once the a8 goes on sale in

late 2018

Chemical Guys Answer Viewers Questions! #1 - Chemical Guys Car Care - Duration: 13:25.

Hey guys, thanks for stopping by the Detail Garage.

Javier and I have been getting a lot of questions about detailing or our personal lives, we

thought today would be a good time to take some of those aside and answer your questions.

Also, maybe bring in some new questions.

Before we continue, don't forget to like this video, subscribe, and also comment down below

on things that we didn't cover and things you want to know about.

Javier, let's get started.

Josh Cordova asks: Can you guys go more in-depth about Carbon Flex C9?

Is it a ceramic coating?

Can you apply multiple layers?

Exactly, what is it?

Does it add extreme shine or just added protection?

Or if it isn't ceramic coating, do I need to purchase something else?

He has a lot on his mind.

Take it away, No you take it away, I asked the question.

You're giving me a tumor, you know that right?

Why?

Was it a bad question?

Answer the question!

Alright Josh.

Well, Carbon Flex is a protective coating, so it is a coating.

You're correct on that one, but you could add multiple layers but you want to do that

after you polish.

A coating like C9 lasts up to 3 years so you want it to be as perfect as possible.

You definitely want to do the whole shabang.

You want to wash it, clay it, get rid of all the contamination on the surface to get it

smooth.

When you polish it, you get rid of all the scratches and the swirls, then you add your

C9 to get that level of protection.

You then want to top it off with a glaze, or even a sealant and get that shine from

a wax.

It's definitely a coating and you want to add before a wax and JetSeal, but after a

polish.

Muhammad Kabir asks: Can we polish a car in cold weather or what temperature should we

polish in?

That's a good question.

A lot of the time, when you're working in detailing situations, you're not going to

have a perfect temperature.

We recommend always polishing indoors because then you can have the most control over temperature

at least and being too cold isn't really a problem but being too hot is.

If the surface is hot, it could effect the chemical, it could dry out, which can cause

the product not to diminish properly, which wouldn't give you proper results.

Being too cold isn't really an issue but being too hot is.

We have another one, it's from Deez Nutz and it actually does say deez nuts.

It says, Javier, your socks are fresh to death.

I agree!

You've seen my socks are pretty damn fresh.

Fresh is a loose term.

What about to die for?

Laz Par says: Reminded me of the potter scene in the movie Ghost.

I think they're referring to the rotary polish where I couldn't really do it and you had

to help me out

and you grabbed my hand so it's like (hums "Take My Breathe Away from the movie Top Gun,

Not Ghost).

And we're moving on.

The Fast Gunna says: What do you guys recommend for headlights that are just starting to oxidize,

like they're just barely starting to.

Well, if it's barely starting to oxidize you don't need to go all heavy with the sanding

with the different grit, you can just use like the one-step polish, headlight restoration

or V36.

It's best to polish it now and seal it.

This will prevent it from getting worse and if you don't have access to a polisher, at

least give it some kind of wax just so it doesn't get completely oxidized.

You don't want to wait until it's too far gone and you can't even get it back, sometimes

you can't even get it back.

Like your relationship.

Ohhh, what time is your mom off?

Son of a bleep!

I'm gonna punch you right in the baby maker.

Owen Mowry says: How do I avoid creating holograms?

This is your expertise.

How do we avoid those holograms?

Man, holograms dude.

Well, you definitely want to keep it level.

What my colleague is trying to say is holograms are created when the pad isn't completely

flat on the surface.

When you have it at an angle or an edge, this creates a hot spot along the edge of the pad

and this creates marring as you're polishing.

Keep it nice and flat with some nice pressure on there to get the best results.

You also don't want to get tiger stripes either so you want to go halfway of what you did

before.

50% of your last pass, that will give you a uniform shine.

You're alright there, buddy?

Yea, it's just hot in here.

Robert Drouin: How do you do an inspection before the detail if the vehicle is really

dirty?

Well, just like we've done before, we definitely want to wash the car.

That way you can truly inspect if it has any scratches or swirls or any imperfections on

the paint because when it's dirty, it's covered up with all the contamination and it covers

up the little things.

It's the little things that count, the details.

When you wash it, you wash it away all the filth and you get to reveal the real paint

that's underneath to see if it needs a detail.

Rosendo Velazquez asks: Where's Jen?

She's around.

She still works here.

Francisco Arroyo: Wait, so I can use Pete's 53 for my hair?

Save me a trip to the store!

It looks good Nick, I like your hair.

Yea, Pete's 53 works on your hair.

This is not recommended but sure, give it a shot.

Robert Navarro says: I have a quick question.

How do you get awesome suds like that?

What PSI is the pressure washer and what brand do you guys use?

I bought the Big Mouth Foam Cannon but I want to get suds like that so I want to know what

pressure washer will be the best.

What do we use a Troy Built gas pressure washer.

I mean, it doesn't really matter the brand, it's all in the gallons per minute and PSI.

We run pressure washer from about 2800 PSI to 3100 and about 2.4 GPM.

As long as it meets the requirements of your foam cannon, you're going to be good and you're

gonna get great results every time.

There's also little tips & tricks you can do like when Nick shows you, he doesn't shake

the bottle because you'll create the foam inside.

You want to do it gently.

Also, using warm water helps with agitating of the soap.

Just the little things.

If you just want more, just add another ounce of soap.

The more soap, the more foam.

What am I doing wrong if the TORQ 10FX is spitting polish every where?

You don't know?

Pshh some kind of detailer

What am I doing wrong if the TORQ 10FX is spitting polish every where?

Usually what this means is that there is too much product on the pad and also spinning

at a high rate and what you need to do is either back off on your polish or blotch it

out more before you're actually polishing and bumping to the highest speed setting.

This should reduce the amount of that.

Also, add a little water to your pad or pad prep, that should help it from doing that.

Adrian De La Rosa: How often should the polishing pads be replaced and how often should a car

be polished?

Honestly, it depends on the car.

You want to do once a year, possibly maybe twice a year if need, but you kind of don't

want to do it because every time you polish you take a little layer of the clear coat.

You get closer and closer to the paint.

Here's the thing.

A polish can last a year, a month, it can last a day, it lasts until the next time you

touch it because that's the only real way a car gets scratches and swirls is from washing

it and drying it.

If you don't touch the car, you don' t need to polish it as often.

As for polishing pads to be replaced.

You can honestly do a whole car with just one pad.

We get that question a lot too.

"How many pads do I have to use for one car, I have a big car".

How many panels?

You can use one pad for each car.

Thebaz568: If I just went straight into V32, v34, v36, then V38, would that be a problem?

I have some deeper scratches and I want to remove them, could this damage the paint?

Just like everything, it depends on the car.

Some scratches are too deep, you can't really cut through it.

You might have to wet sand it or even get deeper than that or some are just too far

gone.

You definitely want to test it out on an inconspicuous area to see if it's even needed because some

areas don't even need a V32, you just need a V36 or a V38, but definitely we say try

it on an inconspicuous area first before you go straight to V32 because then you could

be doing more harm than good.

Plus, you don't want to do more work than you have to.

Exactly, save yourself time and effort.

Alrighty guys, again, if there's anything we didn't cover or there's questions you still

have, drop a comment below.

Don't forget to like and subscribe this video and we'll see you guys next time right here

at the Detail Garage.

Hey, you talked at a normal rate this time.

You think you're funny?

So we like to have a lot of laughs here at the Detail Garage, but I'm here to talk about

something serious.

Packs of wild dogs have taken over most of the major cities.

That's late night.

I've never done this before.

Time to go under the desk, Chippendale.

Ima get something from downstairs.

The frame ends right there, you know that right.

I'm a simple car guy.

In kindergarten, the asked you, what did you want to be when you grow up and kids said,

I want to be a firefighter, or an astronaut, or a police officer.

I said a car guy.

So I guess I made it.

Momma I made it.

So like a transformer?

Optimus Prime.

Isn't it funny that as soon as the camera comes on your brain goes completely dead.

It's not only when it's on.

I have a question: How come we never use those paint things to check the paint?

This interview is over, you promised you wouldn't bring that up.

Where's the rotors guy when you need him?

Do you really want to know why we don't use those paint gauges.

On a serious note, paint gauges, although great to tell you how far you have until metal,

they don't tell you how far you have until you hit clear coat, or from clear coat to

paint.

Say this is your clear coat and this is your metal, and you have a layer of primer and

everything else.

The measurement is only going to tell you from this point to this point, it's not going

to tell you all these other points.

There's multiple layers in your paint.

Dang, I'm going to stop taking Nyquil and I'm just going to listen to you talk.

Excuse me!!
