Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Quotes 145. Today we have another one from Mark Twain.

Yeah so if you like this one, you can look up more of Tutor Nick P with Mark

Twain and you'll see that I've done about six, seven, eight on him before. But anyway, let's look at

today's quote. When I was a boy of 14 , my father was so ignorant . I could hardly stand to

have the old man around. Yeah a lot of times you know children will sometimes

refer to their father as an old man. So old man here just means father. The old man around. But when I

got to be 21, I was astonished , you know shocked, surprised at how much he learned in seven years.

Okay. Let's take a look at the note here.. This quote by Mark Twain uses sarcasm because you know at this point he

realizes when he was 14 his father was not really as foolish as he thought he

was. But in fact, he was the one that was probably a fool and his father was

probably smart but you know, it wasn't until later that he realized this. So

he's referencing the fact that many rebellious teenagers often think they

know everything and their parents are fools.

However as Mark Twain matured, he realized the wisdom of his father and

clearly gained more respect for him. It is a humorous way of admitting how naive

he was as a teenager and as he matured he began to see his father in a new

light. That's basically what he's saying. So did

his father really gain a lot of knowledge in seven years but probably

not as much as you think. He, it's just Mark Twain changed. He matured and he's

seen the wisdom in his father. So that's of course the answer to this. Anyway. I

hope you got it. I hope you enjoyed it. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Says She Was Asked to Leave Virginia Restaurant Because of Trump - Duration: 6:30.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders says she "politely left" a Virginia restaurant on Friday night after the owner told her to exit the business because of her association with President Donald Trump

The White House press secretary, who has received widespread criticism in the past for defending the president's lies, tweeted on Saturday about the alleged incident — which appears to be yet another example of sharply divided times in the U

S. "Last night, I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left," Sanders, 35, wrote

"Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so

" Sanders' tweet came weeks after the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a bakery owner who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple, a verdict many conservatives praised

Calls to the farm-to-table restaurant to verify Sanders' claims by PEOPLE went straight to a voicemail box

Still, the Ren Hen's Yelp and Facebook pages were flooded with posts in support of Sanders, with many calling the establishment's owners "bigots

" "Are Republicans welcome in this restaurant or just not ones that work for the current administration?" one Yelp user asked

"I wouldn't want to be asked to leave, so I would like to choose restaurants based on whether I would be able to have a decent experience

" "After their latest shenanigans, I will never step foot in The Ren Hen," one woman wrote on their Facebook page

"Totally discrimination against conservatives.but I guess discrimination is only one sided these days

" Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sanders' father, also blasted the owners. "Bigotry

On the menu at Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington VA," Huckabee tweeted. "Or you can ask for the 'Hate Plate

' And appetizers are 'small plates for small minds.' " Others, meanwhile, came to the Red Hen's defense

"Personally, I prefer NOT having to dine with liars, racists or fascists," wrote another Yelp user

"But that's just me." "If I ever go to Lexington, Va, I will make sure to dine at The Red Hen," wrote a Twitter user

"Any restaurant willing to take a stand against the lying Bigly mouthpiece is great in my book

Your actions have consequences, Sarah. Deal with it." Acclaimed director Ava Duvernay also showed that she was going to be supporting the restaurant: "Takes out pen, takes out paper, adds Red Hen to list of preferred restaurants in my best handwriting, with hearts," she tweeted

Sanders was promoted to White House press secretary following the July 2017 resignation of Sean Spicer

She previously served as deputy press secretary. She's been slammed this week by White House press reporters, who have noted that she's left them four days straight in a row without doing a briefing, even amid the migrant children crisis at the U

S.-Mexico border in response to the Trump administration's since-reversed "zero-tolerance" policy for illegal entry into the U

S. that has separated families. Another Trump administration official, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, had an incident in a D

C.-area eatery on Tuesday when a group of protesters ambushed her over the processing detention centers her office runs

Protestors from the Metro D.C. Democratic Socialists of America asked Nielsen questions — including "How do you sleep at night?" and "Do you hear the babies crying?" — as she dined with a colleague at MXDC Cocina Mexicana

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Sanders pushed back against a new report that claimed she is planning to leave her position before the end of the year

According to a story posted by CBS News, White House sources told the outlet that both Sanders and principal deputy press secretary Raj Shah are expected to depart the administration

CBS News reported that Sanders told friends she would step down by year's end. In response, Sanders wrote on Twitter, "Does @CBSNews know something I don't about my plans and my future? I was at my daughter's year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my 'plans to leave the WH' without even talking to me

" She continued, "I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS." Tags Celebrities & Politics Donald Trump News Politics Sarah Huckabee Sanders

I Was Wrong. Religions are Not the Problem - Duration: 31:46.

hi everyone I had arguments many times in the past with atheists and agnostics

and I wanted to address this question once and for all because I think it

really deserves and but I have been you know putting off this video for a while

now I tried recording it several times and

it just didn't go well but I'm gonna do it right here so a lot of people blame a

particular religion may it be Judaism or Christianity or Islam or whatever and

they blame them either because the racist or their part racist and their

parts you know reading these kind of conspiracy books and things and I've

known people that have read books that are created by people who were former of

these religions former religious like for example in Islam there was few books

out there maybe more that are going against Islam and they were Islam uh at

one time themselves and same thing with Christians and and others now we have to

understand the underlining reason that we have the violence is happening that

the violence is happening on the earth

it's really not about religion though of course religion is a big part of it it's

really that's not the main thing that's happening here it's not the main cause

of why we're having all these all those violence around

yes that may be a part of it and it may be a big part of it but that's not the

main reason we live in a hurting culture what is that hurting culture is

basically when we dominate other living beings we started according to

anthropologist about eight to ten thousand years ago maybe 11 or 12,000

but you know around that time and we started when we started hurting animals

then we started to see and I mean what I mean by hurting Adam Levine he's

enslaved non-human animals we were mainly breeding female animals using

them for their secretions female animals especially because they you know that's

how they they breed we impregnate them and the whole system starts from from

female animals so the whole system the whole world that we live in no matter

what culture you culture we live in the whole world is based on this enslavement

of animals non-human animals and because so we now see the enslavement and

actually happened that enslavement was prevalent for humans right after that

yeah there was Worzel you know throughout the yawns of time and I don't

really even know what happened back then I mean there are theories and there are

books on this and things but we really don't know what happened but according

to anthropologists we started hurting animals about 10,000 years ago and that

then we start seeing the prevalence of

violence towards other humans yes again we started you know we started we

started there was violence all throughout history all throughout human

civilization and we don't even know even if the world is as they say for about

billion or whatever even ten thousand we don't even know I wasn't there so I

can't really vote for that and a lot of what we're reading nowadays a lot of it

probably 90% or more of what we've read nowadays what we get information what we

get from are either run either owned either manufactured or in some way

funded by the government government makes the larger top people smaller

group of people called shadow government or Illuminati or cabal and we don't know

who these people are there there have been some suggested hints of you know

who the who some of these people but we can definitely say that these are the

people that run the world these are the people that employ the government's

employee corporations which government is corporations institutions and all

institutions which religion is a part of so religion no matter what religion it

is is an institution it's institutionalized religion churches

synagogues mosques what-have-you they're all institutionalized even if we

take for example vegan certain religions you know group of people within

religions may be vegan like you know certain Jane's a group of Jane's and

certain Buddhists and so forth I'm not saying those religions like

everyone is vegan but a lot of them are and so they're still you know undocked

related they're still part of this institutions there's double you know

following the institutions and involved in it even though they're not part of

the hurting culture because they don't enslave animals they don't kill and use

animals which is great but it is definitely something that needs to be

looked at understood we don't know nowadays any thing

nowadays if anything is really truth somebody could write something and how

do we really know I mean yes there could there can be people that have

experiences and things of that nature but again blaming a group of like like a

religion particular religion on something saying that all Islam isn't is

ruling the world and you know there people are giving birth to so many kids

and you know and they're forcing their religion on everybody and this is what's

happening not that it uh we have to understand that before religion before

we before he got into religion as infants we started consuming animal

foods we started consuming the milk of our mothers which or infant formula

whatever you have have you and we basically began the process of

our of indoctrination because we are consuming the milk which is the

byproduct of the mother which is again a bribe product of whatever she's eating

the animal foods as she's eating the fear and the violence of the cows and

the chickens and the fish and etc and that's the first day so we're

indoctrinated were programmed with the hurting mentality first and foremost if

people are vegan they do not exploit animals or they should at least not

exploit animals there of course some vegan people I claim they're vegan and

they're truly not you know because they're riding elephants or horses or

whatever and they're justifying it okay so people I have seen this before I've

read it online I've heard it from people that a group of people should be

murdered should be killed their balls should be cut off I heard there's some

vegans I heard this from atheists I heard this from agnostic people I heard

this from many different types of people directly telling me also through forms

Facebook and other social media and

bashing one group of people is like saying another group of people is better

or it's not harming anyone but we got to understand that Illuminati whoever they

are shadow government whatever you want to call them they are the ones who run

everything they're the ones who created religions supposedly it came from I

don't know maybe from from England maybe from I don't know made from Rome maybe

from made from the come from the royal family we don't really know where it

came from but it is manufactured all religion is manufactured especially when

it comes to institutionalized religions maybe back then you know thousands of

years ago whenever maybe who knows maybe there was some you

know spiritual religion I truly believed there was religion but it was more of a

spiritual practice and it didn't call it religion call it by you know some other

names so all I'm saying is that you can't blame one group of people we're

all to blame we're all consuming animal products we want one group of religion

to annihilate it off - off the earth and then another one is going to come in and

take over violence begets violence what does that mean violence causes more

violence if violence was the answer we would be living in the Garden of Eden

today it is not and so we can't blame others we got to blame ourselves if

we're still eating dairy products if we're still eating eggs if we're still

eating the flesh of animals the meat of animals if we're still eating honey and

if we're still eating products that contain animal derived ingredients but

we're still unfortunately supporting the violence that's happening on this earth

so before we start pointing fingers at somebody ask yourself are you vegan are

you fully there are you fully not buying anything that comes from animals or at

least trying to minimize as much harm as possible are you not eating dairy

products are you eating products that contain animal derived ingredients are

you buying honey are you buying eggs are you buying dairy some form of dairy if

not and even if it's just once a week or once a month or once every six months

we're still causing harm so before before we point fingers let's

look at ourselves we are the ones that are causing violence

do you think if the majority of people on this earth were vegan that we're not

gonna get closer to the Garden of Eden we're not gonna get to this utopia

society or to utopia world because society culture is based on hurting

animals that's what it is based on owning animals based on ownership

property status of non-human animals we got it wrap our heads around this this

world again I'm repeating myself this world is based on hurting animals on

owning animals on property status of non-human animals end of story

nothing will get better until we stop consuming animal products and nothing

will get better if we don't educate others to this enlightenment to this

idea that we see animals as property and that is the problem it's not about

religions it's not about anything else yes there are a lot of problems other

than you know animal agriculture but nothing will get better unless the

foundation if the foundation is rotten if you if you have a house and the

foundation is rotten ok nothing on top will get better you can build that you

can build all the floors that you want and make it like mansion but if the

bottom foundation is not rock-hard solid foundation if it's has holes in it and

it has you know sleeking and all kinds of things the rest of the house doesn't

matter I hope that analogy was clear so basically if we don't get rid if we

don't remove the underlying cause of our dilemmas our problems that we're faced

with on this earth nothing will get better

it's like when we I like to use this analogy to attend an order or de news is

it's like for example we kick our shin like 10 times every day or let's say 100

times every day we kick our shin and to fix that combat the pain we're gonna

take some painkiller some medication wouldn't it be better to find out what

the underlining cause of your pain and your shin is wouldn't it be better if we

stop kicking our shin if you stop kicking our you know hurting ourselves

wouldn't be better than taking the medication but that's what we're doing

we're putting medication running a bandaid on the situation where we always

want to blame others we always want to blame others we don't want to take the

fall for ourselves I mean we are the problem let me tell you another story a

personal story that I think you will and I hope you'll understand so I literally

was eating animals for the first 26 years of my life I was consuming animals

consuming animal products for the first 26 years of my life I remember going to

the circus once and I got my picture taken with a bear in a muzzle and they

bear was sitting next to me he or she was in their you know their chair and I

was sitting next to the bear I don't remember me actually being in

that photograph for some reason when I went back years later to see that

photograph all I remember was the bear in the muzzle

and I started questioning our mistreatment of other animals at a young

age probably mid to late teens I start a questioning and I didn't understand like

why like why are wise humanities like stoop so low

in their compassion towards other beings I looked at this photograph and I asked

myself why why is humanity doing this to defenseless innocent beings there was

trying to answer a question when I myself was supporting violence with my

meals the dairy the eggs the honey the flesh of animals

I was complicit implicitly to the violence day and I couldn't understand

because I was with blinders on I had armor all around me I did not want to

see I was kind of like half awake I kind of wanted to understand but I didn't

understand because I was committing the violence many years later when I became

vegan I went back to that photograph and I knew at that moment that I was the one

that was causing the violence but I was the one to blame we are all to blame if

we are not vegan we are all to blame for the violence that is caused on this

earth there is no other way to peace and freedom if we don't remove the animal

foods from our plates if you don't remove the animal foods from our from

getting into our mouths into our bodies because we are causing tremendous

suffering tremendous violence

it's not doing our souls and their spiritual growth spirituality and it's

any good we're taking in all that violence all

the suffering all the loneliness all the depression from these animals you think

the emotions from these animals just vanish into thin air

absolutely not so when we point fingers at someone else or a group of other

people and say these people are to blame for what's going on here yeah it's true

it's true somebody said this for fooling ourselves it's because what we're doing

we know what we're doing is wrong but we can't see it because we're so blinded by

external affairs I would say ninety ninety-five percent or more of what we

hear out there comes from the government the shadow government loominatee what

are we going to call them they are the ones that create everything basically

they create virtually everything you might get you know that here then

certain news article or something that may be really truth but we gotta get it

from people who understand that are awakened vegans that are I should say

deep vegans who understand these issues not from somebody who's still consuming

violence and supporting violence and they we think that the pointing fingers

that somebody else is going to solve something no no we don't listen to

anybody I mean of course there's a lot of lot of people indeed and eating

animal foods have very good ideas I'm not saying that there there's nothing

good but before we actually start blaming others we should start blaming

ourselves start looking into our lives looking into our hearts and opening our

minds and our hearts - what's going on what's really going on

under in the world today I've also had people called me uneducated you have no

schooling whatsoever you have no you know degree and that's true I don't and

I don't want to because I don't want to be institutionalized

listen teachers okay where did they get their information from some textbooks

that are usually funded by governments or written by governments and if not if

they are independent they're usually written by people who

are eating again eating animals and animal products and a lot of times these

people have very foggy and unclear thinking because they can't they can't

understand like what's what's really going on what is the main cause of the

problems of her face we faced with and they don't have intelligence because

intelligence intelligence is the ability to make connections if we can't make

connections between where our food comes from and the violence that are causes

throughout the world the after-effects of all the violence that we caused by

animal products then we are not intelligent intelligence is the ability

to make connections and so teachers are getting their information from books and

teachers and their information is passed down through generation through

generation through textbooks and teachers of course majority of it again

is written and funded by the government government which lies steals sheets US

taxes us to death and we trust the teachers and we trust

these textbooks and we trust and don't forget all these schools that are

credited are all institutionalized what is an institution it's something that

again you know small group of people at the top have created to keep us living

in fear keeping us living in with violence and we even though there are

some places in the world that experienced a lot of violence you know

like physical violence Wars and poverty and you name it we are also slaved we

don't see it in the West too much but we're also slaved taxes are high and you

know people living in poverty as well and we have this invisible

indoctrination invisible slave enslavement through the government that

we don't even know that it exists we think we're free because we can go

anywhere we want we can walk anywhere we can go into if we were free we could go

to any country that we want without a passport and without any ID but that's

not possible is it you need a visa you need all this stuff so we're living in a

fallacy world living in a world where it's dominated by people who are eating

animals everyone who's in who's engaged in their Wars

virtually every I should say virtually everyone who's engaged in wars and

violence everyone who's in politics the government's everyone all these

institutions are supporting the mass murder of innocent beings there's

there's no other way to explain it if we were truly if we truly wanted to

live in a peaceful world we got to remove all the violence as much violence

as we possibly can in our lives there's no way around it truth comes from within

the heart not a textbook within the heart yes you can awaken to the truth by

reading some book or going you know watching a documentary or whatever but

it really stems from the heart awakening stems from the heart if you're still

eating animals if you're still eating animal products animal foods dairy eggs

honey you're still wearing them animal skins

you're still in some way supporting it entertainment testing whatever we're

still part of the problem nothing will get better on this earth if we continue

again again continue consuming animal foods there's no way around it we can

squirm and we can yell and we can justify everything but if we are still

consuming animal foods there's nothing under this nothing right about that

we're gonna continue living in a world of oppression of slavery of you know

Wars and and corruption and we're gonna still live in a world that has this

hierarchy with governments being on top you know lumina Illuminati being on top

and we're never gonna have peace we're never gonna have justice this is about

justice justice for all life if we want to be peaceful

we'd be peaceful towards everyone even including those who are not peaceful

those who are causing violence we got to be peaceful

so a group of people killed another group of people so we're now we're gonna

take going against the people that killed the other group of people so now

when is it gonna end when is the violins going to end so we're gonna kill one one

politician because we don't like that politician then when it's gonna end

they're gonna bring a new politician and then when is it gonna end we're gonna

kill that one too people are delusional people are delusional that's why this

video has to be made and that's why this video has to be long to explain

everything because people are sleeping there are sleep they think they know

everything they think they know things and they are delusional delusional

because we are such hardwired and such programmed into believing that we need

this and we need that and we're believing all these lies and you know

we're going against our innate wisdom and compassion whoa it's not religions

it's not anything to do with even governments for that matter its to do

with us explain this in my books that we need to

get far away as possible from the from our society but the first thing the

first first thing we must do is be vegan no not this people is Monday crop in

this welfare's shit and was it reduced terriun crump Elan no it's to stop

exploiting others stop using seeing others as property end of story so I

knit right here but I hope you learn something from this

All this will pass someday,

And snow will cover our traces.

And seems to me , that somewhere there.

In my soul it is not you.

But in your window you don't put out the light.

And I don't know, how to live.

Thank you for the fact that

You taught me how to love.

Time is running fast.

And nothing is forever.

My friend, forgive me, please.

It's simply happiness that I was searching for.

And I have found it in you.

Even if not all, just part of it.

But your sorrow is in vain.

Goodbye, it was great

This Poor Dog Was In Mourning For His Best Bud. Then An Unlikely Companion Arrived On The Scene - Duration: 6:08.

This poor dog was in mourning for his best bud then an unlikely companion arrived at the scene

When Tennessee dog George lost his long-term companion in 2014 his owners worried that he'd never recover

In fact the pooch missed his buddy. So desperately that he appeared to have slipped into a deep depression

Two years later, however, his low mood seemed to lift and all thanks to a very unique new friend

For more than a decade George had shared his life with a Labrador called Blackie

The two dogs were virtually inseparable and spent their time playing together and keeping each other company

What's more the best friends bond remained strong as they grew old in the same house?

So after Blackie passed away George was understandably left devastated

indeed in 2016 his owner Jacky Linton told

Wvlt that her grieving dog suffered severe depression after the death of his best friend. He's almost died twice

She said he doesn't eat he starves himself and he has anxiety

The heartbroken hound seemingly found life unbearable without his precious pail

George had once played happily and run about Linton's house now. However, he suffered from periods of deep sadness without blankie by assigned

Naturally Litton noticed the change in her pet - and in a 2016 interview with CBS News

Linton reiterated her concerns about George there

She revealed that her beloved dog had been so upset after the loss of Blackie that he'd starve himself of food

He was also seemingly so anxious without his sidekick that he'd not on his own skin

Soul. It may very well have been relieved when after months of heartache George took a turn for the better in August 2016

and almost two years to the day since

Blackie's passing the maudlin mutt was in his usual slouch on the porch when an unlikely visitor approached a duck

The bird then waddle brazenly across the porch and settle down beside George who seemingly became a nearly instant buddy to the other animal

But as Linton watched the precious moment from a window she wondered from where the surprise Savior had arrived in

Fact Linton would later post on Facebook. We have no idea where this duck came from

however

According to George's owner one thing was more certain

she added but the duck sure does love George and

From that day forward the doting avian became a great pale to the depressed dog with the unlikely pair

Teaming up to take trips around the yard

When it's time to take a break though, George is more than willing to share his bed with his new buddy

He doesn't even mind when his feathered friend rests his bill on him as the two settle down together for a nap. Perhaps understandably

However, the unusual duo's bond has apparently amused Linton

sharing the good news on Facebook Linton wrote

it's strange for a duck to just appear at our house and be attached to your dog and

Even more strangely for it to be during the anniversary week of Blackie's passing. But even though there's now bird droppings in her home

She's more than content for the duck to stick around

It appears then that the bird has helped George on his road to recovery

Certainly adding to his owner. The duck has provided a new lease on life to the dog. His anxiety is subsided for one

Furthermore George seems to have found some peace in himself

He no longer pines for company or looks for excessive comfort from his owners the fact that his companion is a different species

doesn't seem to bother the dog either and he's more than happy to look out for him as a long-lost pal would and

As may be expected letting herself is pleased with the change in her pet since the duck is shown up. George has been fine

She told wvlt he's not wined. He's not meeting you at the car

now looking sad

But given how George is taken to the dock

Linton has now found herself having to invite a new member of the family into her home and

Certain accommodations may have to be made in the advent of the birds arrival

For example a larger table in which to bathe the winged visitor

Furthermore as the duck became a more permanent fixture in Linton's house thoughts turned to an exact moniker the animal would be known by

George's owner had an idea though and told her Facebook followers exactly what she had in mind

She wrote on the social media site as far as the Ducks name is concerned. I'm thinking Donald after all we are a Republican family

After news of George and Donald's friendship hit the headlines. However, some contemplated exactly why the two animals had become so close

Perhaps a number of individuals theorized the bond between the pair was far from a coincidence

especially given George's previous attachment to Blackie

When the Daily Mail featured George and Donald's story for instance one commenter suggested that Blackie is still very around his canine Chum

I would remind all those who believe in reincarnation

Might consider the duck to be George's old pal come back to comfort him. They wrote and

Yet another person brought up the possibility that the late Labrador may have returned to George

They said so strange that a duck just turns up like this. Maybe it's the friend reincarnated for the most part

However, commenters expressed their delight at the uplifting tale of the unusual friendship

I love stories like this one one individual rode of Donald and George's tale

This is quite adorable and another person seemingly agreed with that sentiment writing that's got to be the cutest thing

I've seen in a long time

But whether or not it's possible that Blackie's been reincarnated

There's perhaps a lesson for all of us to learn from the companionship that Donald is brought George a good friend can be found anywhere

Even if in many ways they're very different to us

I run up to you from behind asking questions

The reason I never wavered, no matter what the future looked like

Was because I didn't want to forget what I believed in anymore

My habit of averting my eyes, my vague answers and my not-funny lies--

If you're not by my side their very meaning blurs

Tell me that even if a never-ending sorrow steals you away

Don't forget the days when we couldn't imagine a true "goodbye"

Tell me that even if a never-ending sorrow steals you away

Our two hearts will never grow apart

Which canal did we decide to cruise on? | Was it the right choice? - Duration: 13:10.

nearly forgot

I like to say good morning but clearly it is the afternoon

We are back on track. What do you mean back on track?

well the last thing you know happened was we went through the tunnel

then we moored up at Wigrams Turn Marina and we visited Crick

And we are now on the Oxford Canal and it is busy

this is the fifth boat we have seen we've got another boat following us

it's Friday there's two rental companies here so it is just busy

There's a little there's GRP cruiser they're telling us to move over. Which clearly I'm trying to do because I"m driving at the bank.

You think? It hadn't occurred to me

I don't need you to tell me to move over lady!

the little cruisers are super cute but they go there lighter and they go at

a different speed and they so differently and so when you're kind of

chug chug chugging down the middle of the canal like we were and it's quite a

slim canal. On a corner.

they're on a slight Bend and then the ladies poking her head out the door

going 'move over' I don't want to hit anyone there's a lovely idea thank you

for your tip there always welcome.

We really enjoyed our stay at Wigrams Turn, every one there was really lovely. It was peaceful and does have a fondness in our hearts

that is where we got the boat

two and a bit years ago

We are really excited about the next couple of weeks

I've got something secret planned that Anna doesn't know about yet

Imagine how hard that's been for me to keep it secret?

Because I'm a big teller

and I'm just looking forward to mooring up somewhere for a couple of days.

Mooring up some where for a couple of days and just getting some painting done

You've had help in every lock

Kath has had help in every lock

No!!! Not until you practise it on land.

See what I have to deal with the kittens have escaped Munchy has

escaped once because we have bad cat owners and we left the cat flap open and

then Alice came out the lounge room window because I pulled the top of the

lounge room window out to dry some clothes but so much for our no cats at the lock

rule even though it still is a rule the cats have flaunted it and and as it

would turn out flaunted it in front of other people

that actually watch the channel say say

shoutout to Clive I thought his name was Colin

I think they're saying things like Anna works so hard I can't believe Kath's just

standing around doing nothing

it's not my best ever mooring so those cats have been nothing but

trouble today but we think we know why we may have forgotten to give them

breakfast no we gave them breakfast we just didn't give them second breakfasts

yeah they normally have two breakfasts one each

well they share the first one and then they show the second one and then they

share the second one so I don't think they recovered from that shock I still

happy to see us now this is doing this thing where she just runs away from me

because she knows she's always in trouble well I don't know about you but

I am wrecked I just dropped the rope I think that says it all

I've put some chicken in the oven to have a roast dinner yeah I've done

everything so true okay I haven't people have seen it true I have also carried my

fair share of duties you can't um Thanks so we have headed

off in the direction of the Oxford Canal no no wait on the Ox we can yeah unless

we get out and we are not 100% sure where we're going we just had to make a

decision at the junction didn't we yeah so I turned left yeah thank you to

everybody who has supported us by purchasing a badge we also go on hats if

you do want to order your own badge then we will have details in the description

below but apart from that big thank you as always to our patreon big thank you

to everybody who's watched this video just by giving it a like and sharing it

Here's Why the 1998 Jaguar XJR was Worth $70,000 - Duration: 2:54.

it's time for show-off Sunday, where everyone has a chance to show off their

own car, and here's this week's winner, hey name is Mitch what you're seeing now

is a 1998 Jaguar XJR, also known as the X308, this car came with a whopping 370

horsepower and 307 pound-feet of torque

this Jaguar sold for 70 thousand nine hundred and twenty four dollars in

today's money that is a hundred eight thousand dollars, the X308 ran from

1997 until 2003, Ford purchased Jaguar in 1990 they finally got rid of the inline

six twelve cylinder and they came up with the first v8 which is called the HA26

the issue with these engines were the liners that would usually fail

because of the high sulfur and gasoline at the time and also the timing chain

tensioners and guides are made of plastic

around the year 2000, Jaguar realized there was an issue with these engines so

what Jaguar did because these cars were still under factory warranty, they

replaced a lot of the engines and also under the factory warranty they replaced

all the tensioners with metal, what Jaguar did not do and I'm sorry to say

is they didn't do a national recall on these problems with the engine, you can

get one of these cars that are very dependable, make sure that the tensions

have been done, car's been updated you'll be good to go for the three hundred

thousand miles at least, the XJR is one of the fastest cars built in the 1990s, 0

to 60

the car is so powerful Jaguar had to use a heavy duty transmission, it was a

five-speed Automatic, and mercedes-benz 5G tronic, this car also had a 155

mile an hour limiter, special note if you find one of these

engines with the original liners, you'd be okay

they only failed because of the high levels of sulfur in the gasoline, thanks

for watching,

well that was this week's video and remember to have your car video

highlighted here on my channel, check this out,

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to

ring that Bell!

The Real Reason Why Meg Ryan's Career Was Destroyed - Duration: 4:46.

Meg Ryan is one of the all-time greatest movie stars.

Early on, she made appearances in a number of different genres before finding the type

of movie that would define her career and make her incredibly popular: the romantic

comedy.

Showing she wasn't just somebody to build a happily-ever-after around, Ryan kept making

notable dramatic movies, too, but, over the years, her presence in Hollywood has become

pretty much nonexistent.

So, what went wrong?

From box office flops to her notable aversion to fame, let's take a deep dive into the real

reasons Meg Ryan's career seems to be a thing of the past.

Bad box office

While she's most fondly remembered for genre-defining romantic comedies of the '80s and '90s, by

the time the 2000s rolled around, Ryan's movies weren't considered the masterpieces they once

were, nor did they pull in blockbuster numbers at the North American box office.

First there was Hanging Up, which made a surprisingly low $36 million at the box office.

The kidnapping drama Proof of Life came later that year and then promptly left theaters.

Kate and Leopold was basically a mega-hit at $47 million when compared to the meager

earnings of In the Cut, Against the Ropes, and In the Land of Women.

To make things worse, not only did Meg Ryan's Y2K-era movies strike out with audiences,

major movie critics were ambivalent at best.

The Rotten Tomatoes scores of the movies in Ryan's cinematic dark period range from only

12 percent to 50 percent.

Blockbuster rentals

Ryan suffered a string of flops, but at least they were released in movie theaters.

Shortly after the release of The Women in 2008, Ryan starred in two consecutive films

that didn't even make it to your local multiplex: My Mom's New Boyfriend and The Deal, which

both went straight to DVD.

The runaway success of on-demand streaming may have changed the way we consume entertainment,

but Hollywood's best and brightest star in movies that hit the multiplex first.

Meg Ryan just wasn't the kind of actress to have two films in a row unceremoniously dumped

on DVD.

So what happened?

Personal drama

During the early 2000s, rumors surfaced that the star allegedly cheated on her then-husband

of nine years, movie star Dennis Quaid, with her Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe.

Ryan didn't really address the situation at the time, leaving herself open to bitter tabloid

rumors of a messy divorce.

Subsequently, there was something of a backlash against Ryan — an affair with a co-star

was not something a true America's Sweetheart would do.

But there's more to the story.

In 2008 Ryan explained the situation, telling InStyle,

"What wasn't in the story was the reality of my marriage.

Dennis was not faithful to me for a long time, and that was very painful."

Ryan and Quaid did divorce, but the media attention surrounding it, while career-harming,

was personally freeing for the actress.

She went on to say,

"I didn't have to care about what people thought.

[I could] be totally under the radar and live my life."

In other words, America's Sweetheart was done being America's Sweetheart.

"There's almost no win in any of the world of tabloid, because as soon as you defend

yourself there's more story."

The fame game

For better or worse, part of the job of being an actor is to promote your work.

Actors may love bringing characters to life, but they've also got to get the word out about

the productions that enable them to use their talents.

This can be demoralizing or tawdry for actors, and some of them downright hate it.

Ryan spoke of these feelings in a 2016 interview with Vanity Fair, admitting,

"I am a terrible celebrity.

If I started my career today, I wouldn't have a chance.

Social media has changed things.

It's so vast and big.

I couldn't handle the constant attention and the judging."

Never met your dad

In 2014, CBS's How I Met Your Mother ended its nine-season run.

It's safe to assume the show's diehard fans were thrilled when news broke that CBS had

a spinoff-slash-reboot of the show in the works called How I Met Your Dad.

This one would be from the female perspective and explore how a woman met the father of

her children.

The element of narration would be repeated, this time with the voice of somebody who knew

a thing or two about how to sell an on-screen romance: Meg Ryan.

Though it was seen as a lock for the fall schedule, CBS ultimately — and surprisingly

— passed on the show, thus ending Ryan's attempt at a TV-based comeback.

Out of Hollywood

Ryan has been working in show business for nearly 40 years now.

Maybe she just needed a break.

Unfortunately, taking time off is dangerous in Hollywood.

However, Ryan made the choice to take a breather for a good reason: She wanted some time to

raise her kids, and to raise them in New York.

She's often been spotted in Manhattan with her daughter, Daisy.

A friend of Ryan's told Closer Weekly,

"Meg is as dedicated a parent as you'd ever want to see — keeping Daisy's best interests

in mind, having fun with her, taking her to school events and dance lessons really keeps

her grounded."
