Hey everyone Sam here also known as MrStainless and we're back with another State of Decay
101, a series dedicated to helping you learn everything there is to know about State of
Decay 2 and today we're focussing on vehicles.
But before we do if you want to be kept notified of when future episodes go live, hit the subscribe
button down below.
Vehicles can be invaluable in the world of State of Decay, not only do they get you from
place to place but they're also an invaluable tool when you go out on your scavenging runs,
more often than not though their used as one of most powerful weapons you can wield in
game.
Regardless of how you use them they're an invaluable resource that are worth looking
after.
We're going to be going through each of the vehicles we have access to in the game
and listing them in order of storage capacity from the minimum of 3, to the maximum of 8:
First of all we've got the Road Racer and Road Racer MX, these are variations of each
other, they're 2 door sports cars and they have 3 storage slots.
If you want to upgrade these vehicles you're going to need a light vehicle upgrade kit.
Next we have the Miragra and the Miragra MT, 4 door compact sedans with 4 storage slots,
if you want to upgrade either of these vehicles you'll need a medium upgrade kit.
The Maximillian is a 2 door muscle car with 4 storage slots, again if you want to upgrade
this car you'll need a medium upgrade kit.
The Legendre is another Muscle car only this model has 4 doors but much like the Maximillian
it only has 4 storage slot.
The Legendre is fast but if you go from one end of the map to the other it'll likely
have gone through a full tank of gas.
If you want to upgrade this car you'll need a Medium upgrade kit.
The Police Cruiser is a 4 door sedan with 4 storage slots, it can be upgraded with a
heavy upgrade kit and it also has a siren that is incredibly adept at luring in surrounding
zombies and attracting the attention of anything within quite a large radius…you were warned.
The Royale and the Taxi are both 4-door sedans with 4 slots and both equally need a heavy
upgrade kit to be upgraded.
The Brogan Rapscallion and Brogan Sport are two of the cars in the Brogan family of vehicles,
they have the lowest storage capacity though with 5 slots each.
They're both 4 door hatchbacks and need a light upgrade kit to be upgraded.
The Survey Car is in essence a modded version of a Brogan, it has 5 storage slots and 4
doors and equally needs a light upgrade kit to be upgraded but two things to note; the
survey car can discover locations within a certain vicinity of the car while you're
driving, if you choose to upgrade the car it'll lose that ability though as the camera
on top of the car is removed.
The Norma, an old faithful vehicle in the State of Decay universe is a 2-door pickup
but 2 more of your friends can ride in the back, it needs a light upgrade kit to be upgraded
and has 6 storage slots.
The military truck is an armoured 4-door pickup with 6 storage slots, you can fill the vehicle
with survivors and also have people sit on the truck bed at the back, just in case they
want to feel the wind in their hair.
It can also be upgraded using the heavy upgrade kit.
The Desperado is a 2-door off-road vehicle with 6 slots of storage, it can be upgraded
using a light upgrade kit.
The Rhames V is a 4-door pickup with 6 slots of storage and can be upgraded using a medium
upgrade kit.
The Pilato and Pilato CR are variations of the same vehicle, its a 4 door SUV with 6
slots of storage and if you want to upgrade it you'll need a heavy upgrade kit.
The Pilato CR is actually the vehicle you'll start off with in the tutorial.
The Utility Truck is a 4-door pickup but unlike the rest of the pickups I don't believe
you can fit more on the back, it has 6 slots of storage and need a heavy upgrade kit to
be upgraded.
One perk of the utility truck is that it also has a snowplow on the front which makes it
all the more fun to mow down the undead.
However it should be noted that although it has a plow on the front it doesn't have
any more health points than the standard Rhames V which is what the Utility Truck is a variation
of.
The Vagabond is a 2 door off road vehicle with 6 slots of storage that needs a light
upgrade kit to be upgraded.
Then we're onto the base vehicles with the max amount of storage; the news van and ambulance
are variations of the same model, each with 8 storage slots and each needing a heavy upgrade
kit to be upgraded.
The ambulance, like the police cruiser, has a siren that can be used to attack some unwanted
attention.
The Brogan Trekker is a 4-door hatchback like the other Brogan's, the difference this
time though is that because of the luggage carrier on top of the car it now has 8 storage
slots.
It can be upgraded with a light upgrade kit.
It should equally be noted that if you upgrade this vehicle the luggage carrier will be removed
and it's storage capacity will be lowered.
The Cargo van and Repair Van are both 2-door vans with 8 storage slots, both of these vehicles
can be upgraded using the heavy upgrade kit.
The acceleration on these two vans is pretty awful but they're really good for storage,
so if it looks like you might be over-run just know that you won't be making a speedy
getaway in this.
And finally we have the Passenger Van which is a 4-door van with 8 storage slots and can
also be upgraded with the heavy upgrade kit.
And folks that is it, those are all of the base, non-upgraded vehicles that you'll
find in State of Decay 2.
As you've seen some of these vehicles are variations of each other, sometimes bearing
some extra perks so go out there, find the vehicles that will suit your playstyle and
make sure you're stocked up on gas cans and vehicle repair kits.

vehicle is your favourite down in the comments below but until next time have a great week
