He he had been following my career.

He was a fan. He wanted to hire me and his band.

He asked me how much money I made.

I told him and he said he couldn't afford me.

So I said things'll change it might happen later.

I guess over 40 years in the business

I'm most proud of being here right now accepting this award

and the acknowledgement of all the hard work

that I've put into my career.

Studying is sometimes difficult

Trying to learn quantum mechanics in kinesiology- that's also difficult

Some- sometimes my my book order list, at the library, is a little extensive...

I might take it a little bit too far

Especially for a C student

I definitely take it too far for- for a C student. Not even the A students are checking out as many books as I am

Sometimes you just need a backpack that carries your backpack

-cause you don't want your homework falling through your backpack

I'm also a Personal Trainer.

Sometimes it's really difficult. It's almost like working with an inanimate object

People are hard to train.

Sometimes you gott- you gotta yell at them. Yelling at them...

Really works!

-and then... when you're done just high five them- THAT'S IT!

and then they're like, "Yeah! I'll show up again next time!"

So that's what the personal training life is like

One of my biggest passion is snow boarding.

When I snowboard, I feel alive.

and nothing is going to stop me!

I need more SPEED!

it just makes me goosebumps

I just love doing it and I will not give up on it.

I'm getting very - yeah last season. I did 360s many 360. I didn't think I'm gonna do in that season

I thought to wait for another season, but then somehow I make it out. Yeah, that's the BEST!

Second thing I really love to do is, I love boxing

I love Muay Thai.

-but I was fighting a lot and I didn't know how to get to fight

So I was getting beaten a lot

Which, I wasn't happy about so it- life brought me into muay thai to learn how to

Defend myself.

and now it's being like four and a half- five years of me doing it, and I just love it

I fight. I give my all. I challenge myself. I love to learn the proper techniques. I just love doing it

But at the end I will never forget to hug my bag because it's all for love

Stroke the shaft.

And the last thing which is one of my other favorite things do it now is

PUBLIC SPEAKING!

I love public speaking. Why? -because that was one of the things that I was really, really afraid of -I couldn't -just the idea of public

was just like..

like a Kwasaki Ninja...

-so fast.

I was sweating. My knees were shaking. -Couldn't even speak.

My mouth go dry.

it was so, So, SO, SCARY in the beginning!

I somehow I found the energy, the- [x2] courage to go and do the public speaking

I'm not scared.

I am scared.

I'm excited. I can hear them, it fills my heart. It gives me fuel -It gives me energy.

As you may not know, the quiet person is the one who actually possess great ideas and they

can listen to everything that is going on around them.

We may have made all kinds of wrong assumptions about these people, and often times, people

thought of them as less intelligent.

Most people assume that quiet people are weak and submissive, but the truth is, quiet people

are usually strong and creative.

While they seem to be an easy target to bully or mistreat, they are not quite what they

seem.

Here's at least 8 reasons why you should never mess with the quiet one.

Why You Don't Mess With The Quiet Ones, They Are The Ones Who Actually Think.

#1 - Quiet people are quiet.

From the outside, they are easy to spot, because they are being quiet most of the time.

They often can get through life without being noticed.

So, if you really think you can mess with the quiet one, when in fact you can't realize

what they're doing, or even their existence at all, then that is a terrible idea.

#2 - They listened a lot.

Quiet people tend to know more information than those who speak a loud.

The reason is simply because they listen as they do not get chance to speak up.

Additionally, quiet people tend to focus more on the content of the discussion instead of

roaming around out of the topic.

#3 - Observance.

They can understand people better than the louder counterparts.

They observe things in detail, in careful manner.

It is no wonder why they also can notice inauthentic behavior.

Picking up this subtle emotion is not easy, and it is worth noting that introverts upgrade

this skill throughout the course of their life.

#4 - They are not weak.

Even though quiet people probably will not say anything, they actually will.

It is only when the things go out of the track.

Sometimes conversation can be misleading due to saturated information expressed in a careless

manner.

Quiet people will speak up when they notice something that does not feel right.

#5 - Having different social skills.

Please do not compare social skills of quiet people and extroverts.

The reason is simply because they use different strategy.

Quiet people use social skills based on trust and respect.

In utilizing this skillset, it requires small number of people to work.

#6 - Determined.

When it comes to relationship, introverts or quiet people can create special bound based

on trust.

They also have ideas that must be realized.

When they do, they will make others surprised.

#7 - Intolerance.

Quiet people just cannot be manipulated easily especially if they are experienced and intelligence.

The reason is because they have values which cannot be denied or pushed over.

#8 - Quiet people can be loud sometimes.

Being quiet doesn't means they are not talking at all, in fact, they can be just as loud

as you when they want to be.

They do have a voice and when they decide to speak, usually it's something that mattered

to the situation.

They even can be the life of the party when they want to be.

Well, those are some of the reasons why you don't mess with the quiet ones, after all,

they are the ones who actually think.

Here's Why this 1983 Porsche 944 Makes a Great First Car to Work On - Duration: 6:22.

welcome to wacky Wednesday's, where everyone has a chance to show off their

car mods, and here's this week's winner, my name is Michael and this is my 1983

Porsche 944, I bought this car in 2012 as my only car and actually my first car

that I ever bought, so I bought this car in New Hampshire about 2,000 miles away

from where I live here in Texas and the cars previous life was as a de track-day

car, and you know I've I've kind of kept a few things from it, the coilovers for

one in the front are great, it has a cam in the engine, there's a few other things

but I've also kind of gone through and tried to make the car a really nice

daily driver, the interior of the 944 is pretty primitive by today's standards

but it's actually a pretty nice place to

be, I'm 6 foot 2 and I still fit awesomely

in this car, everything's manual I've got a five-speed transmission here, pretty

much standard fare on most 944s, pretty much the only thing that isn't manual is

actually probably these power windows right here, which is probably a big deal

back in 1983, now there might be a few things that you're used to a modern car

they yeah you might not find in the 944 at least in this 1983 model, such as

maybe an airbag here or here, or over there or something, or cruise control or

traction control or stability control or any of those controls, but you do get an

oil pressure gauge, a voltmeter, and simple gauges, a lot of cars my Subaru

don't even have a water temperature gauge anymore, I've also gone ahead and

replaced the entire engine management system with a mega squirt ECU and I've

wired up a few relays and fuses here and this panel would normally bolt up here

below the dashboard, but I have it down right now for a little bit of

maintenance, this was a one of my larger projects that has really been a vast

improvement to the car, lets start it up

the tachometer here is inverted and actually swings up that way which is cool

another thing too, these doors, you slam them it's like a bank vault closing

the build quality is great, these cars were all hand-built

and you just don't get that feel with modern cars

it's a fun little car

the 1983 Porsche 944 came with a two and a half liter naturally aspirated

four cylinder,

as far as bodywork goes, I fitted a European spec bumpers to the front at

the rear same thing, I bought a European bumper

as well as a rear valence from a 944 turbo, the exhaust is pretty much stock, factory

catalytic converter has been replaced with a resonator

and it's not too loud, it's a little bit louder than the

car next to you but not by too much, its great,

the wheels are factory 16-inch alloys, we've also fitted a Volvo 240

calipers on this car, a little bit of modification needed but not too bad, so

as far as ownership, it's been a hugely positive experience, again this was my

first car that I ever bought and I still drive it year-round, but aside from this

being a good car and you know it's a blast to drive, it's also kind of been a

professor in my life as far as you know as I grew up I bought the car when I was

19, 18, or 20 or something like that, five or so coming up on six years I've

come a long way too and the car has kind of had a large role in that, so when I

bought this car I mean I kind of know how to change the oil on a car and I

knew how to change a spare tire but that was pretty much it, and I was still

in school as a young engineering student and when I bought this car, I mean it

broke down within 20 minutes of buying it, and that pretty much set the stage for

learning how to work on cars, learning how to hunt for parts, go to the junkyard

what's the value of a dollar, things like that having a good work ethic,

knowing that if you're not going to work than the jobs not going to get done

because you can't afford to go to the Porsche mechanic and shell out a 120 an

hour or whatever it is, so I had to learn how to do a lot of work

clutch jobs, transmission replacement, pretty much everything, I'm pretty sure

I've had pretty much every nut and bolt off this car back on in some way or

another over the last five years and not to say it's unreliable, the car is for being 36

years old extremely reliable, it's more reliable than the 99 4runner that I used

to own, it starts every time, drives create, a lot of stuff was just

simply being 36 years old, but as far as a young person owning a car I don't think I could have

made a better decision, I think a lot of young people now or I don't know like

they're not as attractive to owning an old car as maybe they should be just

because it's such an opportunity to grow as a person yourself, if you're

passionate about something you know be willing to do your own work, do your own

research, you know not just just be a passive commuter, owning a car is

something to be proud of, and you know this car for me was the right car,

   Is there a reason Meghan keeps on wearing nude?   There is a chance Meghan wears this shade a lot because she simply likes the look

   However, others have questioned whether the fashion move comes with a more thought-out reason

   Celebrity stylist and designer Lucas Armitage told MailOnline's FEMAIL the decision could be down to respect for the Queen

   He said in June 2018: "Meghan has opted for a neutral colour once again.   "I feel this is a clever styling tactic as it will always work with the Queen's look; she is known and applauded for her use of bright fun colours

"  Another reason Meghan could be opting for neutral colours could be to keep her look safe for the time-being

   Wearing neutral colours has gone down well with royal fans, and so the Duchess may be waiting until she's more settled into royal life to start experimenting with bolder colours

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed security agencies to be vigilant especially in the protection of lives and properties. The president spoke in Jos, Plateau state following renewed killings by suspected herdsmen.

Speaking at an interactive session with stakeholders in Plateau state in the aftermath of the recent killings in some communities, Buhari appealed to traditional and community leaders to complement government efforts by persuading their constituencies to tolerate one another for peace and unity in the country.

In a statement by Garba Shehu on Tuesday, June 26, the president was quoted as saying he will continue to pressurise security agencies to keep the country safe.

The statement read in part: ''I will continue to pressurise members of the law enforcement agencies directly under me by the Constitution as the Commander-in Chief.

About eight days ago, we had five hours security meeting of the service chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police.

''What happened here in Jos is very bad. The question of leadership, from your household to whatever you are, is justice. The bottom line is justice.

''That is why wherever I go, I will always appeal to the leadership of the communities, the law enforcement agencies to always have control of their constituencies.

Condemning the latest clashes in Plateau state, which left scores dead, President Buhari, who was accompanied to the meeting by Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state and his counterparts from Kebbi and Niger, condoled with the affected families, the government and people of the state, and wished those injured a speedy recovery.

The president also used the occasion of the interactive session attended by traditional rulers, community and religious leaders, representatives of youth, women and trade union groups, security chiefs and some top government officials to appeal to Nigerians to avoid inflammatory utterances that endanger peace or promote conflicts.

''Whatever is being given to the media, we have to be very responsible about it. Take for instance the situation in Benue.

The Benue subsistence farmer knows that the Nigerian cattle herder that he knows doesn't carry nothing more than a stick, occasionally sometimes something to cut grass to feed his cattle.

''But the present herder, I am told, carries AK47 and people are even blaming me for not talking to them because maybe (they say) I look like one of them. There is some injustice in these aspersions," Buhari said.

According to him, "It is noteworthy that many Nigerians still acknowledge that despite the security challenges, this administration has made notable successes in the security sector.

Earlier in his remarks, Governor Lalong blamed parties in the conflict in the state for reneging on their agreement to maintain peace, leading to the recent upsurge in violence, after nearly three years of calm and normalcy in the State.

''We are concerned as a State that the sophisticated weapons used in these attacks, from the evidences on the ground and the narrations of victims, are not those conventional to our environment for self-defence but reflective of a terrorist invasion.

''It, therefore, demands a justified response like that which was undertaken to address the Boko Haram insurgency,'' he said.

The governor also requested that given the number of villages completely ravaged in the violence, the federal government should establish an Emergency Special Intervention Fund to help reconstruct the destroyed communities.

President Buhari also carefully listened to the presentations and recommendations made by Alhaji Nura Abdullahi, State Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) and Mrs Florence Jambol, a representative of the Berom community in Plateau State, on engendering peace in the communities.

"Am I enough?" Yes! And Here's How to Believe It - Duration: 5:10.

I don't think that there's anything that plagues us survivors more than the

question, "Am I enough?" Our abusers, day after day, told us that there was

something wrong with us. That we were bad. That we were unworthy. That our purpose

in this world was to be hurt. None of this was true, but that didn't change the

fact that they left us wondering, are we enough?

Hello! I'm Arien Smith and you are watching Arien Inspires, a weekly online

web series where you can find peace and joy and prosperity after abuse. I want to

jump right in and say yes yes yes you are enough! You will always be enough. But

I also know that it is so hard to believe this, especially when we were

just rejected by someone or went through something difficult or are feeling

particularly down about ourselves. Your abuser kept their control over you by

convincing you that you deserve to be hurt and they did this by making you

think that something was wrong with you. But they never ever told you what it was,

ensuring that you couldn't adjust or fix that thing. They made sure that there was

no way you could appease them, that you could make them happy. They would demand

something of you and, even when you did that perfectly, they would find something

else to be disappointed about. Or they convinced you that your only purpose was

to take care of their desires: emotionally, sexually, physically, whatever

that was. They told you that your purpose was to serve them, so now that you're

away from them, you may be feeling purposeless. All of these, combined or

separate, lead us survivors of abuse to feel like we're not enough. Your abuser

was the one who taught you these beliefs, but now you are in a position where you

can start to change them. Where you can start to reclaim self-worth and finally

truly start to believe that you are enough. I'm sure you've heard that no one

is perfect, that we all make mistakes. It might be an overused phrase but it's

one I want to highlight because it's true! You are allowed to make mistakes. It

is okay to make mistakes. It is safe to make mistakes. Life isn't about seeking

perfection. It's about growing and developing personal skills, healing and

improving, connecting and loving. At your very core, you are enough. You never need

to worry about that going away, no matter what path you take or what mistakes you

make. All you need to do to erase the beliefs that your abuser imposed on you

is to backtrack where those beliefs came from. Isolate and examine the times that

they made you feel like you weren't good enough, the times they made you feel

inferior or undeserving. This is all about reframing why the belief is there.

Instead of getting angry at yourself for having this limiting belief of feeling

like you're not enough, you can see where it came from and you can validate how it

formed. Realizing that this belief is not your fault, that you didn't bring this

terrifying and heavy thing towards yourself can be

really liberating. It's your abusers' fault that you don't feel like you're

enough. But this is half the equation. You also have to realize that now, today, you

have the potential to change this. To start to reclaim the self-worth that

your abusers took away. You have to first acknowledge that the abuse happened. In

order to reject the message that you aren't enough, you need to take that

fault away from yourself. You need to recognize that you came to believe this

as an act of survival, as a way to cope with the abuse that you faced. Now this

belief is no longer needed. You are in a safe enough space to start to believe

that you are truly enough. Then you need to realize that you have the power to

reshape your life. Even though you cannot control other people's actions and you

can't go back into the past and stop the abuse from happening, you can reclaim the

potential for a wonderful and love-filled future. You can rewrite your

future into one of joy and happiness and gratitude and self-love, all by deciding

to commit to working on seeing yourself as enough just as you are right now.

Reframe and reclaim--that is the path towards healing. Recognize why you

adopted a certain pattern or belief and then use that infinite power inside of

yourself to change it. To find those healthier alternatives. That's all there

is to this. This message is so healing and important, especially since nearly

every survivor, everyone that I've met including myself, struggles with this

question, "Are we enough? Will we ever be worthy?" Yes, of course! And I'm really

hoping that you share this message with another survivor that you know too. It

would mean the world to me and it could reshape their life too. And please go ahead

 On Monday, the former president, 94, tweeted out the news that he now is the proud parent to an America's Vet Dogs service dog named Sully

 "A great joy to welcome home the newest member of our family, "Sully," a beautiful — and beautifully trained — lab from Could not be more grateful, especially for their commitment to our veterans," Bush, a World War II vet, wrote in his tweet, which has been liked more than 15,000 times

The former POTUS has been in and out of the hospital a few times in recent months, most recently with low blood pressure and fatigue; he also suffers from vascular parkinsonism, and since a vertebra break in 2015 has used a motorized scooter to get around

 Sully, a Labrador retriever trained by the same non-profit that trained Today's Puppy with a Purpose, Charlie, was escorted to his new home by Bush's friend, 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton

 This match was made possible thanks to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, which recommended America's VetDogs to Bush and his family

Sully, 2, is specially trained to help Bush with his daily activities, in addition to being a loyal canine companion

   The yellow Lab has followed an interesting path to end up beside the former president

Sully is named after former airline pilot Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger III, known for his famous emergency landing in New York City's Hudson River in 2009

After being weaned from his mom, the dog was moved to a prison to take part in VetDogs' prison puppy program

Until he was 15 months old, Sully was trained and socialized by inmates, who helped the future service dog learn basic commands, obedience, housebreaking and the foundations of his service dog training

   From here Sully was transferred back to his original home, the America's VetDogs facility in Smithtown, New York, where he completed his specialized training program, designed to meet Bush's individual needs

 "America's VetDogs' trainers and staff worked closely with the president's team to find the best match," said John Miller, president and CEO of America's VetDogs, in a press release about Sully's placement with Bush

 "We are excited to work with President Bush and utilize this opportunity to shine a light on the services America's VetDogs provides veterans and first responders to live a life without boundaries

"  Sully is one of the numerous dogs that America's VetDogs and its sister organization the Guide Dog Foundation trains and places every year with people who need guide dogs, hearing dogs, service dogs for PTSD, services dogs for physical disabilities and therapy dogs to help with rehab at military and VA hospitals

 America's VetDogs and the Guide Dog Foundation provide service dogs to those in need with no charge to the individual, providing these individuals with a newfound independence without the hefty price tag

 To breed, raise, train and place a service dog costs more than $50,000. America's VetDogs depends on donations and volunteers to make their work possible
