Ivanka Trump had a busy Friday morning, getting her children packed up and ready to head out
for a weekend away - so it's not surprising that she didn't have time to perfect her make-up
before leaving her D.C. home to attend a meeting at the UN headquarters in New York CIty.
Ever the efficient businesswoman, however, Ivanka seized a few minutes of downtime while
in the back of the SUV transporting her to her meeting, pausing to apply both face powder
and lipstick before heading into the building.
The 35-year-old, who was dressed to the nines in a smart black dress and high heels her
meeting with Secretary General Antonio Guterres, was pictured examining her face in the mirror
of her Chanel compact while seated in the back of her vehicle, before blotting her face
with the face powder.
She then finished off her oh-so-natural look with a pale pink lipstick, once again using
the same Chanel mirror to ensure accurate application.
After finishing her touch-ups, the First Daughter took a few moments to check her iPhone, no
doubt catching up on some last minute emails and messages before making her way into the
UN headquarters.
Having thrown on the same pair of dark glasses she was seen wearing as she left her D.C.
home earlier on Friday morning, Ivanka hopped out of her vehicle and set off for her meeting.
Once inside, Ivanka posed for a portrait with the Secretary General, showing off the make-up
look she had just applied.
Having decided to forego the subtle smokey eye she often favors for public events, Ivanka
instead opted to keep things simple, modeling a light base, limited eye make-up and just
a touch of her natural lipstick shade.
Unlike earlier this week, when Ivanka hosted an event with Betsy DeVos at the Smithsonian,
before attending a press conference at the Rose Garden, the mother-of-three didn't enlist
the help of a glam squad member to get her ready for her UN appearance.
After her meeting at the UN, Ivanka headed to an afternoon appointment uptown in a silver
SUV.
Two Secret Service agents followed her as she stepped out of the vehicle and walked
into a building on the Upper East Side.
Ivanka's husband Jared Kushner, 36, eventually came to meet her, and the two went for a stroll
around their old neighborhood while flanked by their Secret Service agents who walked
behind them.
Before moving to Washington, D.C., the couple and their three kids lived in their Trump
Tower apartment on Park Avenue full time, and they still travel back to their home city
when they can.
At one point, Ivanka was seen chatting on her phone while being driven around in the
SUV.
Ivanka and Jared left New York City around 6pm and made their way to New Jersey, where
they have a summer home.
The First Daughter's jam-packed schedule certainly helped to explain her glammed-up look.
However, Jared dressed in a much more casual manner on Friday morning, when the couple
were seen leaving their house and heading into the city with their children.
Carrying one-year-old Theodore on her hip, while Jared followed closely behind, the 35-year-old
businesswoman looked every inch the style queen, wearing a short, fit and flare-style
black dress that featured a colorful panel running down the front.
She completed her fashion-forward look with a pair of black high heels - unsurprisingly
from her eponymous fashion line - a pair of black sunglasses, and some dainty black earrings.
Ivanka's blonde hair was left to hang straight around her shoulders, and she kept her make-up
incredibly low-key and natural.
But while Ivanka looked all dolled up and dressed to the nines, her Jared couldn't have
looked more laid back and casual as he accompanied his wife and child out of their D.C. home
on Friday morning.
In place of the navy blue suit he has been seen wearing every other day this week, the
senior White House advisor wore a pale blue shirt that was left hanging out of his dark
blue slacks, finishing the dressed-down look off with a pair of $400 sneakers from Common
Goods, and some Ray-Ban sunglasses.
The couple's son Theodore, meanwhile, was dressed in a pair of comfortable-looking red
trousers, and a blue-and-white checked short sleeve shirt.
He was also wearing a pair of blue sandals and white socks.
Both Jared and Ivanka looked to be in high spirits as they left their D.C. home with
their youngest child in tow, before making their way into a waiting SUV.
A team of assistants was seen filling one of the vehicles with suitcases and bags, no
doubt ready for the family to enjoy a weekend away together, after Ivanka finished her meeting
at the UN.
Theodore's older siblings, Arabella, six, and Joseph, three, meanwhile, had already
been brought out to the car under the watchful eye of the family's Secret Service agents.
It is the first time that Ivanka has been pictured in several days; she last made a
public appearance on Tuesday, when she and Jared attended President Trump's joint news
conference with Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri in the Rose Garden.
Earlier in the day, the First Daughter was seen leaving her home and heading to a summer
reading event at the Smithsonian, which she co-hosted with Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
Ivanka was the picture of elegance and style as she left her home that morning, wearing
a blue lace designer dress - and a wide smile on her face.
Clearly aware that all eyes were going to be on her - not least because her husband
Jared was facing another day of questioning over his Russia contacts - Ivanka put on an
incredibly stylish show, turning the front steps of her home into her own personal catwalk.
Ivanka was modeling a $900 lace design by designer Jonathan Simkhai, which features
an asymmetrical hemline, and several shades of white and blue lace, as well as a plunging
neckline that showed off her bare decolletage.
She completed her pretty ensemble with a pair of nude high heels - from her eponymous Ivanka
Trump fashion line - and a pair of dainty dangly earrings, leaving her neck and wrists
bare.
In a rare move, however, the First Daughter chose to wear her wedding ring.
The gesture was, perhaps, a show of support for her husband, who faced questioning from
the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday and met privately with the US House Intelligence
Committee on Tuesday as the probe into his undisclosed Russian contacts continues.
But any stress that Ivanka may be feeling certainly wasn't showing as she stepped out
on Tuesday - having had an early morning visit from her glam squad, who ensured that she
was looking her very best in time for the reading event.
With her hair in a chic up-do, Ivanka opted to go without the sunglasses that she has
been modeling almost every morning of late, instead choosing to show off her beautiful
make-up look, which featured a nude lip and a subtle smokey eye.
Beaming at the cameras as she made her way down the front steps of her house, she looked
every inch the successful businesswoman, event pausing to wave at the photographers before
climbing into her waiting SUV.
Indeed, throughout the ongoing controversy surrounding her husband, Ivanka has kept her
head up, and yesterday sought some happy comfort in the form of her children.
On Monday morning, Ivanka took to Instagram to share a very happy image of her eldest
child Arabella, who turned six last Monday, and her youngest son Theodore, one, who appeared
to have covered his face in yogurt while enjoying his breakfast.
But despite the mess, both children were grinning happily at the camera - with Arabella donning
a smart straw boater hat for the occasion, while her brother was wearing some giraffe-print
shades.
'Good way to start the day!'
Ivanka captioned the cute picture, before adding a sunglasses smiley, no doubt in reference
to her son's rather unique early morning ensemble.
Pairing his sunglasses with a silver spotted bib - a sensible addition to his look given
the messy mass of breakfast foods covering his face - Theo can be seen beaming happily
at the camera, while his sister Arabella, dressed in a white T-shirt and shorts, looks
equally thrilled to pose for the picture.
And it seems that spending some quality time with her kids was exactly what Ivanka needed
to take her mind off her husband's political troubles; on Monday morning, shortly after
Jared left to meet with investigators at Capitol Hill, the busy businesswoman was seen leaving
the family's D.C. home, wearing a fun floral dress - and a beaming smile.
Leaving the property via the side gate, before quickly climbing into a waiting SUV, the First
Daughter looked as though she didn't have a care in the world, smiling happily for the
cameras as she prepared for another day of work.
Embracing the summer season in style, Ivanka looked chic in a short-sleeved navy dress
that was covered with a white, blue, and purple floral pattern.
For the outdoor event, Ivanka threw on a pair of trendy cat-eye sunglesses, and she had
a smile on her face as they made their way to their front row seats.
White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Deputy National Security Advisor Dina
Powell, sat on Ivanka's right, while Jared was to the left of her.
At one point, the couple turned and smiled for their cameras while in their seats waiting
for the press conference to start.
Ivanka's sunny disposition comes after spending what was no doubt a much-needed weekend with
her children; on Sunday evening, she shared another image of her son Theodore, this time
capturing the toddler by himself.
In that picture Theo is seen wearing a cute pair of blue overalls, another rather bold
pair of sunglasses, and a matching pair of blue sandals - while posing against a sea-blue
backdrop, and alongside a bright blue surfboard.
Giving little information away about where the picture was taken, Ivanka simply captioned
the snap: 'Summer daze!'
And while Ivanka continued to maintain her cheery disposition, Jared also seemed eager
not to let any of the tension he might be feeling show; on Monday and Tuesday the White
House advisor was seen leaving the home that he shares with Ivanka and their three children,
smiling happily at the waiting cameras before climbing into his waiting SUV.
Ahead of his meeting with the Senate Intelligence Committee on Monday, Jared released a 3,600-word
statement, in which he listed meetings with the Russian ambassador to the United States,
Sergey Kislyak, as well as his infamous meeting at Trump Tower with a Russian lawyer that
the White House aide says he left early on.
Signing off the statement, he said: 'I did not collude, nor know of anyone else in the
campaign who colluded, with any foreign government.
I had no improper contacts.
'I have not relied on Russian funds to finance my business activities in the private sector.
'I have tried to be fully transparent with regard to the filing of my SF-86 form, above
and beyond what is required.
Hopefully, this puts these matters to rest.'
He then reiterated those sentiments in a statement made after his first round of questioning,
saying: 'I did not collude with Russia nor do I know of anyone else in the campaign who
did so.'
Jared first came under scrutiny for a previously undisclosed meeting with Russia's leading
US diplomat.
He did not list a December rendezvous with Kislyak at Trump Tower on forms he turned
into the government as part of the security clearance process.
He left off another meeting during the transition with a Russian banker, too, Sergey Gorkov,
and a June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower that the president's eldest son, Don Jr, set up
with a Russian lawyer who wanted to discuss adoption.
