Hey guys it's Trina and this is my monthly recommendations video for July.
Monthly recommendations is a Goodreads group created by Kayla Rayne and myself
where every month we have a topic and anyone in the book community can join in
and recommend their favorite books that fit that topic. This month our topic is
auto read authors. It can also be interpreted as auto buy authors but me
personally, I get most of my books from the library so I'm not actually buying every
single thing from these authors even though I will read them. I think this
first author is one that a lot of you guys can guess. That is Mindy McGinnis.
She has 5 books out so far. I have read all 5 of them. I own all 5 of them. And
her sixth book is coming out this fall. I'm already super excited about it. I
do have video reviews on my channel of every single one of these books so if
you want to hear more about these books or my thoughts on them specifically you
can definitely refer to those reviews. But I just really love Mindy's writing
style and I mean I loved it from the start. I started with her first, debut
novel Not A Drop To Drink the year or a few months after it came
out and I just loved the gritty style and she has tackled so many different
types of genres and she brings that grittiness and that rawness and darkness
to all of her books. I really enjoy her writing. This is like my number one
author that I am a fangirl of so definitely you know she was going to be
on this list. The next author on my list I've read everything by so far and would
love to read more of is Rainbow Rowell. She does have five books published but I
only own these two but I have read all 5 of them.
She writes mostly contemporary and romances with the exception of Carry On,
which was kind of her take on fan fiction or fantasy. I have not loved
every single one of her books that I've read but I do enjoy her style and her
characters and stuff so whatever her next book is going to be I am planning
on picking it up if for nothing else other than it's been a really long time
since she's released a new book and I just would be really curious in if I
still am enjoying this author. But so far Rainbow Rowell has definitely been an
auto read author for me. Next is a guilty pleasure author in my opinion and that
is Sara Shepard. I do really enjoy Sara Shepard's mysteries. I have read almost
all of her books, I read all but two. The first two books she ever wrote are just
a little bit older and I don't know exactly how I would like the topics that
they are about but all of her like YA mystery series - Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game,
The Perfectionists, The Amateurs, which is a new one, and she wrote The Heiresses,
which was an adult mystery - I read them all.
I don't always love everything that she does and how she incorporates certain
aspects into her books but this is an author that I have found that I enjoy
her mystery writing and like the suspense and I can always get through her books
pretty quickly. So there is something about her writing that I am enjoying
enough to keep reading what she's writing. This is her current work so like
she has the sequel to this one coming out this year and I really did enjoy
this first book so I do want to read the sequel. So I've read most of her previous
work and I'm looking forward to her upcoming work so she's not one of my
absolute favorite authors but I've read so much by her and you know I'm not
going to stop just reading her books because I do like her mysteries, they're
easy and quick to get through, and yeah I would consider her an auto read author.
Another guilty-pleasure author along those same lines that I have read
everything by is Kiera Cass. She's written the five books in The Selection
series and then she has the book The Siren, which is a standalone and Kiera
Cass is an author that I know I can go to if I'm just wanting something fluffy
and easy to get through. That's her thing and sometimes you need books like that. I
could do without these two but there's something about her writing that works
for me when I'm in the mood for these types of books. Now that The Selection
series is finally over I'm really curious in what she would write next. I
would like to see different genres from her, different topics and stuff, so she's
a writer that has fulfilled like that certain reading mood that I've been in
with her fluffy books and I'm very interested in seeing what she's going to
write next. Jessica Spotswood is another author that I will consider to be an
auto read author for me. Now, I'm putting her on this list although I have
only read her first three books, The Cahill Witch Chronicles trilogy. When I
read this series I loved it. I was like well this is an author that I really
want to watch out for, I want to read more by her, and then last year she came
out with Wild Swans and the A Tyranny of Petticoats anthology and I was so here
for them. I was so anticipating these books and I got them and I have not picked
them up yet. So I haven't actually read everything by her but this is still an
author that it's like I'm going to read these books, I'm looking forward to the
next thing that she publishes too, like I just do like her writing and I plan to
read all of her books so I would put her on this list. The same is true for Becky
Albertalli. I have only read her first book, Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.
I have not yet gotten to The Upside of Unrequited but I am so stoked to read
this. It is one of my most anticipated books of this year. After reading Simon I knew
I was going to love Becky Albertalli as an author and knowing the topic of what
Upside is about I just know that I'm going to enjoy this book and I want to
keep supporting her so I'm always excited for a new Albertalli book and I
would definitely say she is an auto read author even though she's only got a
couple books out so far. And this brings me to debut authors who only have one book
out so far but I'm very excited for their next books and know that the next
books they already have announced and planned are going to be auto read books
for me. So the first of those authors is Angie Thomas. She wrote The Hate U Give.
This was her debut novel, just came out earlier this year, and the writing in
this book I was such a fan of it. I definitely need to read more by Angie
Thomas. I know that she's got her next book announced, I will definitely be
reading it. So even though it's early and she's only got one book out I want to
call it, Angie Thomas is going to be an auto read
author for me, at least as of now. That is the same situation with Sandhya Menon who
wrote When Dimple Met Rishi. This book just came out, she has two future books
already announced in the same genre as When Dimple Met Rishi and one of those
books actually follows a side character from this book, so just knowing what
those books are about and that I liked her writing in this genre I definitely
want to see more by this author. And another debut author that is currently
in my auto read status who I actually don't own her first book, but it is S. M.
Parker who wrote The Girl Who Fell. It came out last year and that book tackled
an abusive relationship and her next book is not tackling that at all but I
just - that book was so powerful to me it made me a fan of that
author and her writing and like what she was doing and ever since I read that
book I was like whatever this author writes next I'm going to read it. The
Rattled Bones actually comes out in August so I don't have to wait too much
longer for it! I've been looking forward to it for like over a year but it's going
to be a YA mystery and I'm definitely looking forward to just more of this
author in a different genre and just seeing more of her writing and how I
like it too. So as of right now these debut authors are auto read status
for me even though they've only got one book out. I'd love to hear what some of
your auto read or auto-buy authors are. Were any that were on my list also on your
list? I'd love to hear that from you guys. Thank you guys so much for watching and
I will see you in the comments. Bye!

Nissan-Renault beats VW, Toyota as top auto seller - Duration: 5:47.
Nissan-Renault beats VW, Toyota as top auto seller
Mustang sales have dipped in the U.S. so far this year, where industry sales are softening and consumers increasingly prefer SUVs.
But the world remains captivated by the classic car, making it the best-selling sports car in the world last year.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport is on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The alliance of Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co.
and Renault SA of France says it led in global vehicle sales for the first half of this year, the first time it has claimed top rank.

and Renault SA of France led in global vehicle sales for the first half of this year, the first time it has claimed top rank, beating perennial top-sellers Volkswagen, Toyota and General Motors.
The Nissan-Renault alliance, which has included Mitsubishi Motors Corp. it acquired the Japanese automaker last year, sold 5,268,079 vehicles around the world in January-June.
That was more than Volkswagen AG at 5,155,600, and Japanese rival Toyota Motor Corp. , which said Friday it sold 5,129,000 vehicles in the first half.
Volkswagen, which includes Audi and Lamborghini nameplates in its group, became the worlds top selling automaker last year for the first time.
All the top auto manufacturers have various nameplates under their folds and cater to various world markets, standing ready to make up with sales elsewhere when they falter in one region.
U.S. rival General Motors Co., which had led global industry sales for more than seven decades, trails in fourth place, selling about 4.7 million vehicles in the first half.
Although Volkswagens reputation has suffered recently from a huge scandal over cheating on emissions tests, booming sales in China and other markets have helped offset the damage, showing that some consumers were just shrugged off the scandal.
Its unclear whether Nissan will manage to hold on to its lead for the full calendar year since the top automakers are running neck-and-neck in sales.
Auto executives tend to play down the importance of the sales numbers, saying they are just trying to satisfy customers with good products. Volkswagen was an exception, often voicing its desire to become No.
1 until the scandal silenced its expressions of that ambition. RELATED:. Edmunds: Betting on a dark horse car can save buyers some money. 10 new cars to buy for under $300 per month.
Britain to ban sale of new diesel and gasoline cars by 2040. General Motors posts $1. 7B profit after ditching European operations.
But the rise of Nissan-Renault highlights the power of manufacturers outside Detroit. Nissan Corporate Vice President Joji Tagawa said sales volume by itself was meaningless unless growth leads to higher profits.
Personally, whether we are No. 3 doesnt interest me, he told reporters earlier this week. And it is not a goal for our company..
Toyota, which makes the Camry sedan, Prius hybrid and Lexus luxury models, surpassed General Motors in 2008 but fell behind GM in 2011, when production was hit by a quake and tsunami in northeastern Japan.
1 again, only to be dethroned by Volkswagen. Carlos Ghosn, chief executive of the Renault-Nissan alliance, said earlier this week the automaker will continue to build on its record sales.
Among the models the alliance offers are the X-Trail, Altima and Qashqai, as well as the Leaf electric car.
We will continue to leverage our significant economies of scale and global market presence to deliver valuable synergies for our member companies this year, he said. Follow Yuri Kageyama on Twitter at twitter. com/yurikageyama. Her work can be found here.

My new CAR! The perfect daily driver! - Duration: 19:16.
Hello my dear friends!
and welcome to a new video!
I'm in a good mood today
because I've bought a new car
and I'm on my way to it to pick it up
and I will not say which car it is yet
because I want to create some excitement
I can provide you a hint
it is not a sportscar
well, it is definately a sporty car
but it is not kind of a supercar like a Porsche or Ferrari
I was looking for a daily driver
and I had several options
I did some test driving with different cars
I was interested in multiple cars, for example
C63s Coupé
Audi RS3
uhm what else?
BMW M2
and
the Ford Focus RS
Golf GTI or Golf R
all these cars were suitable for me
but a few of them were quickly sorted out again
because not everything was 100% okay
for me it was important that car was not too big
so the C63 was removed from the list
it was a little bit too big in the end
Don't get me wrong, I can drive big cars too. No problem!
But I'm looking for a smaller car
with some luggage space
because I travel a lot
and I want to have room for the dogs in the car
so 4 doors were necessary
All I can say for now: It is not the C63
So the Ford Focus RS was also an option for me
since I drove it on the Bilster Berg racetrack last time
I really love that car
It was one the best smaller cars I've driven, but
the big disadvantage of this car is, that you can only have it with a manual gearbox
Which makes a lot of fun on the racetrack
but I'm not gonna drive it every day on the track
so I need a daily driver where I can drive long distances with
therefor an automatic gearbox is much more comfortable
now there are not so many options left anymore
I organized some really cool number plates
I'm so happy to have those number plates
I've waited almost a year for them
I will show you them in a minute
this one is my old car by the way. I'll leave it here
cya!
it was filled with cigarette smell and I'm happy to get rid of it
But not from me, I don't smoke at all
it was a used car and the first owner has smoked a lot
and you don't get the smoke completely out
As you can see I'm at a VW dealer
can you guess the car already? Let's go inside
the moment of truth has arrived
there it is
this is my new daily driver
A Golf GTI Clubsport
Golf 7
and
I decided this is my new car
because I think
it is the perfect daily driver for me
of course it had to come with a sporty look
therefore the clubsport was the first choice
it has some cool details like the wing up here
the black stripes on the side
the diffusor is also a little bit different
let's see how it's gonna drive like
I had a testdrive for 5 minutes only
so I have no idea what the car is capable of
and I drive home on the Autobahn of course
to test it a little bit more
my new number plates
I'm gonna install it right now
I'm so happy to have those number plates!
because I'm waiting for the over a year
Sophia Calate one
or
to read it from right to left "Club Sport"
or Super Car
there are several variations
I will put them on the car now but I've got a small problem
that I've seen here is
there is that stupid black number plate holder
I cannot remove it that quickly
But I will remove it later for sure
I bought those...
small holders
they look like this
they will be here and here
you cannot see them once the number plate is on it
usually I glue my number plates on the car
But the problem is, everytime you want to remove the number plates
when I sign off the car or wanted to sell it, it was so annoying to remove the glue from it
therefore I got those clips
please imagine the number plate without the black plastic which looks even better then
that is my favorite srewdriver
very cool thing
and
then it will look like this
you have two stripes with glue here so I can glue the number plate on the clips
but I will not glue it... the black plastic thing must be removed anyway
You just clip it on there like this
okay
looks good! Now the rear
let's have a look inside
It comes with all options I wanted
it was difficult to find one of those
I don't like leather seats at all but this one has
alcantara, partly leather
and fabric
it comes with DSG automatic gearbox
I definately wanted DSG
speakerphone, navigation system
I'm not sure what is extra on this car, but I will find out later!
and
oh and before I forget, the car is not new. It's a used one
but it is only 10 months old
and it has 20.000km on the clock
what else can I say? Stories are boring let's drive it!
for the first few km it's pretty good!
it's still a Golf
from my seat's position it is not a new feeling
I left my old Golf there for this one
but this car has a waaay more stylish design
I love the black interior roof
and also the red features
on the odometer and the steering wheel
the 12 o'clock mark
how do you call it?
12 o'clock mark
and
the seats are very comfortable
so why did I decide to pick the GTI Clubsport?
as I already said:
It took a long time to make a decision
I was absolutely not sure which car I should take next
do I want a real daily driver?
should it be really really sporty?
how useful should it be?
just for a normal daily use?
a wanted a car that offers some luggage space and which is quick at the same time
for example an Audi TTRS is a two-seater which didn't make any sense for me
and I need those rear seats because
I have two dogs who fit in a large box that I can place on the rear seats
that has to fit in there for sure
maybe I wann pick up a few friends
I wasn't interested in the regular GTI
because it doesn't stand out like this car, the GTI Clubsport
or even the regular Golf 7 that I drove before this one
and the Clubsport has those certain details
that make the car looks way more sporty
and it had to be white, because only then you have that special contrast to all the black parts on the car
like the rear wing
the "Clubsport" stripes on the side
it just looks way better when the car is white
the whole deal went very easy
two days ago I was like: which car should I drive next?
and somehow I just looked up Golf GTI Clubsport
then I found this one, drove to the dealer
and bought the car
and today - two days later - I picked up the car
so 2 days ago I wasn't sure that I want to drive a GTI Clubsport
now it is here and I'm pretty happy about it!
the regular Golf 7 wasn't a car that made me happy
I didn't even want to spend time to clean my last car
I had to force myself to clean the car
I'm actually not like this
because I'm always in a 100% cleaned car
and the last Golf was washed once in three months
I think I will love to clean this car again
because it looks way better
okay so we have the mode button here in the GTI
when I push that button, with my chocoalte fingers
then you can see here on the display that I can change driving modes
eco, normal, sport and individual
I'm gonna switch on sport mode
turn down the window
and then I hit the gas
oh no there comes a speed limit
it's pushing!
the turbocharger pushes you immediately
and especially
something I want to show you next is
the sound of the car is so cool when it's upshifting
that's fun!
okay one moment
speed limit revoked
now I'm happy! A fast car and chocolate!
awesome car!
so what comes next?
I need a recognizeable car
the car is now just white
it is a little bit boring and therefore I will wrap it
I already have a design in my head
And I will try to implement it somehow in the next days
I will make a video about that too for sure
and
maybe a different suspension too
different wheels
at the moment I do not like the rims
they are too small and could be bigger
I think I have 18" at the moment
but first things first: the wrap
and I wann do that ASAP
then you will see the new Calate mobil soon
did you eat the chocolate?
You think I would have left some over?
83metoo would be happy if he sees you driving the new car with chocolate in your hand
Ladies and Gentlemen we are on the Autobahn right now
and now I will test the car a little bit more
as long as there is not too much traffic
the suspension is really stiff
I didn't expected that
it's a stiff feeling while driving
and
I just realized that a new suspension would make sense
the problem is, you have winter tires mounted on this car at the moment
I have to replace them too of course
if's friday afternoon so unfortunately there is a lot of traffic at the moment
people are driving towards the weekend
so the Autobahn is full
just as expected
during the time where we wait for the Autobahn to be with less traffic...
let's make a little carporn of this car
right?
RIGHT??
YES!!
I am really convinced!
Would be too late if I wasn't convinced by the car right?
the odometer has a Vmax of 280km/h
I'm not sure if the car can handle 280km/h
there is just too much traffic
but the car still pushes you in the seats during high speed
when you hit the gas while driving 160km/h, there is still a lot of power left!
which is good!
there is my favorite road sign
okay another day with less traffic
I hope that there is really less traffic
but it looks good so far
I'm already on the Autobahn and I switch on sport mode
you can feel how the turbocharger works
I'm already at 200km/h and I didn't notice how quick that was
230km/h
The GTI Clubsport is interesting for me, because it hast 45hp more than the regular GTI
The regular GTI has 220hp and this one has 265hp
you also have downforce with the rear wing
and the whole car looks very sporty
there is also a boost function when you hit the kick-down
I will try that one later, but not today
Thank you very much for watching!
If you like the video please leave a thumb up
and if not then leave a thumb up too
and please do not forget to subscribe to my channel!
thank you very much for watching, see you later!
